When I met my then Boyfriend , now husband, he introduced me to this church. That was 4 years ago and I never looked back and never will I. On the top of that, Pastor Jerry officiated our wedding last year in August. What a blessing.. what a privilege.. Every sunday, whether online or in person, i feel fullfiled. Renewed. This is place I always call home🙌🏽
The Chapel is an awesome church with four different locations serving in Getzville NY, Lockport NY, Cheektowaga, NY and Niagara Fall, NY. The first time I visited The Chapel and listened to the pastor giving the Sunday message I felt Gods presence and I knew that was the church were God wanted for me and my family to call our home church. The people are wonderful and the church is always helping in the community and encouraging everyone to serve as well.
Upon seeing this chicken dinner event on the bulletin board, i contacted the organizer and was assured there would be inclusive options. I bought 4 tickets and was thrilled to support such a great cause. When I showed up and shared with the staff that I need the plant-based option, they went into the kitchen for a few minutes and came out with 4 boxes made up just for me.I get home thrilled to indulge in a gourmet dinner, only to find that the only item in each box was a pre-packaged cookie, that had MILK in it. Will not be returning.
Brought the family in for the “unlimited” salad bar and was told by the waiter that there was an “all you can fit on your plate in one trip” limit. What? How is that unlimited? By the time I finished helping myself to the lettuces and chopped vegetables there was barely any room for the jello salad and dont event try to fit one of the rolls! $17 for an unlimited salad bar and you get one trip. We won’t be back and we WILL NOT recommend to our friends OR family as their exit sign suggests we should.
I went to this church years ago and it was great! I moved back recently. It is a different church. People say weird things, believe strange things and it seems like they worship their pastor more than they worship Jesus. Really sad they have drifted so far away from genuine faith in Christ to a cultural Christianity where everyone is just seeking status and approval/favor from the pastors. It seems like they have become a part of the Evangelical Industrial Complex in some ways. Very sad. It also seems like they are promoting people who are popular, but not necessarily doctrinally sound in their beliefs but dismissing faithful people who have been genuine Christians for years. Very sad to see how this church has progressed over the years.
I started at the Chapel 4 years ago. There is no question it was a different experience. The music, light show, the family and I enjoyed it but what kept me was the sermon’s. When preaching came from the Bible I was captivated. Unfortunately there have been times when a band member would pray before the sermon and say “ We can’t wait to hear from you Lord” something like that is prayed before most if not all sermons, and instead of hearing from Gods word I get a sermon from the book of Jerry. Very sad. When he preaches God’s word he’s unstoppable!!! Not so much when it’s a word from the mind of jerry.... To Al Stevens. I agree that many of his sermons are great. Some have truly been faith building for my family and I. Unfortunately I feel he has some sermons that are more about his political views and not the truth of Gods word. One example I have is in the midst of a “Sermon” he angrily declared that suggesting professional athletes who kneel for the anthem should be fired is “Wrong”! I’m not concerned with what side of the issue someone might be. Good Christian’s are on both sides I believe. Should it be in a sermon? Is that from God or Jerry? He is passionate and I certainly appreciate that but political ideology is debatable. The truth of Gods word is not. I’m sad that he sometimes preaches his personal views when we all desperately need to here from our Lord.
The staff is very unfriendly. They talk a great game up on stage, but have no time to engage with you after the service unless you are a celebrity, business owner, CEO or prominent person in the community. The church is too big for the Pastor. If you want a personal touch and experience, find a smaller church, not one that will give you an hour a week on Facebook, and try to make you feel good by acknowledging that you signed on to be with them. No personal touch from the staff whatsoever.
Have been going here for years and just love it. The pastors keep it real and relevant to learning more about the Lord and how to be a better person, not just for you but also your impact on those around you. Always welcoming and never judging so highly recommend for those of faith and those looking for faith.
This Church is such a GEM.My husband and I have been attending about 5 years. Pastor Jerry and all of the Pastoral staff have such a gift for teaching the word. I feel like my heart is touched in some, way, shape, or form, after every service! The Holy Spirit flows through me listening and singing with our amazing Worship team.Thank you Jesus for your BLESSING in our backyard!! So very highly recommend! Come join us and follow our Lord and Savior!
A place to call home! The Chapel is a big community with a small town feel. I have never once felt judged, out of place or disconnected. There are many opportunities to meet new people, join groups, connect to others and have your needs met. I truly feel like The Chapel has a wide variety of events, resources and options for everyone. Making the decision to attend this church has completely changed my life, along with my husbands and sons as well. We are always uplifted, felt loved and given hope when here. Amazing place for kids to form relationships, find a focus and stay committed. Three different locations, plus online streaming makes it super convenient no matter where you live or if you are traveling. We are so thankful we get to experience Gods love through such a wonderful place like The Chapel!
When we moved here 2 years ago, we saw this church off the highway and decided to try it out. We’re so thankful to have found this church and will be sad to leave someday when we have to move again. Sound doctrine, excellent preaching, wonderful community. It’s a large church, but don’t let that intimidate you! Join a small group! We’ve met so many wonderful people and trust the King’s World staff with our two boys every Sunday. We’ve even sent our kids through the pre-school that run by The Chapel. We may never find such a wonderful church again, and are enjoying our time here :)
The Chapel feeds my soul, lifts my spirit and teaches me how to better live out my life for Jesus Christ. Now that I am in a nursing home. I appreciate their live streaming on Sunday and access to sermons on the internet. I also enjoy the visitations from the members and cards from the Chapel, Legacy and Grandparents for Gods
This church is amazing, iv been blessed to find a church home for myself and my family! Everyone I have meet is great, Im thankful for this location and the small groups they offer are wonderful highly recommend attending a service you will find many amazing people and receive biblical teachings every week that will transform your life!
Careful folks, they teach that the church goes through the Great Tribulation!! Listen to the November 3rd 2019 message. Not to mention the pastor has become prideful and flippant. Sad to write this, as Ive recommended this church to people in the past. Never again. :-( Very sad to have to leave this review. Praying for this church and this flock which is now being led astray.
Jesus Christ is the focus of this ministry. The pastors are great at making the word relevant to today. They also keep the message interesting and occasionally entertaining. My favorite thing is how much they give outside of themselves. The focus is the great commission. The holy spirit is palpable here.
This church is such a blessing. I wish I was still in WNY so that I could attend. The leadership shows you how to have your own walk with Jesus, and you never feel like you are on the pastors coat tails eating crumbs from his walk. I listen to a different sermon everyday on the way to work. I am so thankful for being able to watch online. I have an elderly friend near the church, and I wrote in to see if they could check on her once in a while as she doesnt have any family or friends close to her. Someone comes out to see her every week now and takes her to a movie and spends time with her. This alone has blessed my heart!! Now Pastor Jerry announced that a church will most likely open in Niagara Falls where she lives! I am so excited that the love of this churchs people will touch that city for it has been spiritually depressed for far too long!! God bless and protect the people and the mission of this church!
Love love love this church!pastor Jerry is just a God sent and I could really see that God is using this man to preach his word! Authentic is the only word I could use to describe his preaching. The only thing I could say about this church is that its hard to make friends and form relationships with other church members there....other than that its a really great atmosphere. Moved to Dallas and truly miss the preaching
I have been a member of the chapel for many years. The chapel is a very special place. The Lord speaks so beautifully through pastor Jerry. Every Sunday with out fail I witness people giving their lives to Christ ! There has been so many times that a Sunday service has moved me in such a profound way, through the beautiful music and the special people there it is a miracle every Sunday! This past Sunday 2-14-16, I witnessed something so incredible.. Pastor Jerry spoke about how Christians deal with pain and hardship. Putting Christ at the center of our lives and trusting God even through the hardest times.... He had a moment where he ask the congregation to stand and raise there hand if they were currently going through a hardship... Many people stud (which I will tell you takes a lot of guts) and Jerry ask the people around them to come to them and pray for them. It was a beautiful spiritual experience! It was so moving to feel the power and presence of the Lord around us all.If you have a hunger to find a higher meaning in your life... please come visit us at the chapel and allow God to enter into your life, and bring Jesus into your heart... You already have the spirit inside you. The light of God. I promise you will find true happiness and be able to let go of all things that have ever burdened you. You will find the Love of God inside of you and be around a family of believers who love you.Paul AlfieriSinger Songwriter
Honestly this Church has some issues. People are not friendly. They seem fake. The church seems like it does everything for money. They have different Bibles. So they have the NIV in the pews and ESV when you pay 9,000 for the classes. That is a issue. You have to pay for coffee, which I have never seen in a church before. When I was looking at a Bible I got yelled at by some guy. Honestly it is just a mega church wanting your money and not there to really help you out.
Been attending The Chapel for about 6 mos. Its a mega church that gets it. Though its an oxymoron, its a big church thats a chapel too. The pastors are all proficient speakers and Pastor Jerrys emphasis on The Western New York Church Body is spot on. The partnerships him and the congregation has cultivated embodies their vision. The Gospel is preached in the pulpit and practiced in the public. I am blessed to call the Chapel home and hope to see you either as fellow members or visitors. God Bless You! #BuffaloRising
I absolutely love this church....My boys are 8 & 9 they have never been to church before Ive decided that they needed some type of faith in God so I told them one Sunday morning were going to church my 9 year old says I go to school 5 days a week now I have to go 6 days he wasnt very happy at first so I told him lets just go try it out if u dont like it we dont have to go back.....Well he loved it ❤ and we have been going since about 6 weeks now!? They even have provided us with transportation!! Its def a great place to come and I feel like every Sunday no matter who is preaching what there preaching about goes excatly with how Im feeling or whats going on in my week its so crazy but I just keep my faith in God and keep coming back I kno me and my boys will be ok!!
I never like going to church before until I started going to The Chapel and my whole view on Jesus Christ and knowing what it takes to love Jesus has changed my whole outlook on life, my relationship and my relationship with God. Thank God for The Chapel, it saved me.
The Chapel is one of the greatest evangelical contributions brought to the western NY area. Pastors Jerry Gillis, Deone Drake, and Wes Aarum are awesome teachers who know the Bible well and communicate in a modern day understanding of ancient scripture. When you attend the Chapel you will walk away knowing Jesus in a very personal way .The worship music of Benji Cowart and his team will move you to a sense of being in the presence of God.If you really want to know Jesus and the reality of the cross, come and visit the Chapel, you wont be disappointed......ever.Elaine Marszalski
I love that the Truth of Gods Word is expounded upon without comprimise. There is no coddling, no attempt to schmooz or gloss over the Truth in order to build upon the size of the crowd or to tickle the ears of those listening rom the pew or the website. Pastor Jerry is Real, he breaks down the Word intellectually yet in such a way as to help any and all gain an understanding. This Revelation series is Riveting!!

2021-10-17I love this church. This is like your going to a rock concert but for religion. The only part I have a hard time with is the music lasting for nearly 40 minutes but Im really comfortable here, I love the message that I get from the pastor they say right on their website dress as you like were just glad youre here and We want to tell the story of Jesus as we know it, and tell it truthfully Im very picky about where I get my message from as I am not completely secure in my faith. I got to feel the message from the person telling it to me and I get it here! Pastor Jerry Gillis delivers the sermon so well that im engaged. I plan on making this place my Sunday morning home!

2022-03-27Have you have ever been told Mega Churches, dont preach sin, repentance and The Word? Do NOT allow that characature to be applied to The Chapel. .We have found The Chapel to be a Spirit Filed church were the Word of God is boldly preached. Their mission is truly moving to put light in dark places! Our family loves this church, and is grateful for Pastor Jerry, his team, and his stewardship of the vision God has put on his heart.

2022-05-29This was my first visit. I was staying with my daughter over the weekend and she invited me to come along. What a wonderful experience. I wish there was one in Canandaigua, where I live. I will be watching at home when I cant attend in person. I left feeling very blessed.

2022-05-23Pastor Jerry Gillis leads an incredible group of godly, seasoned leaders, and Ive enjoyed his insights, support and corrections for the Body of Christ at the Chapel.Altho its easy to hide in the bigger crowds there, I must say that there are plenty of opportunities to meet and get to know others in small groups, mens groups, womens groups, kids & young adult groups - anyone seeking the Lord will find what they need from the Lord at this place. In my college years, I met several people thru Chapel Singles who are still connected with my family to this day. Even tho I attend The Tabernacle, I still see how the Lord works in us. He allows us to have friends for many many years, thru many churches, across so many differences, but much like Kingdom Bound, we still all come together at the feet of Jesus to worship him and build each other up, sharpen each other in love, and increase the kingdom. We seek Him while he may be found! There is always room for more at His feet - please come & bring everyone you can while we still have time.

2020-07-12The truth of the gospel is preached here. WE have followed this church for years, and now regularly meet on line with them during this COVID time. Miss not meeting with them. The music is great and the song choices are well themed, although sometimes it would be great if the songs were more familiar so that the rest of us could sing along! But god is glorified and HE is lifted high, work done to bless others. Wish we lived in Buffalo to become members, but we remain online members of the body of Christ here in Canada. Saw many a concert here, especially Casting Crown. God bless.

2018-04-22Motivation to attend a church is variable amongst human souls. Should your desire include the need to rub shoulders with powerful or important celebrities this church will suffice.Perhaps your interest is social, meeting the “right” group of like minded people, or discovery of mr. or mrs. “right” , then ,you are in the correct location as regular group gatherings are on the monthly calendar for adults as well as youth programs.Dancing and Chicken dinners are a regular offering. One issue, outreach/support of homeless people- you will not find any at this location. Often hungry or penniless, they are shown the door by security. Therefore no panhandling on the premises or opportunity to demonstrate Christian compassion. The rural environment offers the congregation a quantum of solace perhaps greater than the message from inside. May God bless the activity of this fine congregation and it’s administration.

2021-03-29Decided to try different churches back in Jan 2019. First stop was The Chapel at Crosspoint and I havent left! I met my best friend that first day along with many other great Christians. The Chapel is a large church but my advice is to get involved in any way possible! I thoroughly enjoy coming to service each and every Sunday.
