2021-07-21I brought in an old Seth Thomas mantle clock that need significant repair work. James was patient and thoughtful in explaining the workings and what required repair and, in some cases, replacement. He took the time from his busy shop to listen and to understand the importance of the clock to my family. He showed great kindness in his approach to the needs of this customer!

2020-11-19James was absolutely fantastic. We have an over 100 year old clock that needed TLC. He figured out the problem rather quickly and returned it to us. In addition he showed me how to properly level it and it is now keeping and chiming perfectly. Recommend him highly! Pete, Delmar, NY

2017-03-29I just picked up my 150 year old clock that was fixed by clockworks. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were careful to let me know my options and cost before doing any work. I was given no pressure to do more or spend more than I was comfortable. The finished work far exceeded my expectations and there was no hidden surprised. Im very happy with their work and will probably be taking in my other clock soon. THUMBS UP!

2019-04-26Great little clock repair shop. Vast selection of clocks to purchase as well. Unfortunately smells of cigarette smoke throughout.

2016-05-26I had an antique shelf clock that had stopped working. Not knowing where to go, I contacted the Clock Works and was told to bring it in. The clock repairer, James, is absolutely incredible - he was able to identify the clock and its maker (an Ansonia kitchen shelf clock, made between 1882 and 1888) and pointed out some of its features, of which I had no idea.. Within a couple of weeks, the clock was repaired and now runs beautifully on time (previously, it always ran slow).When I told James that he had carte blanche to repair the clock, he said that that he cannot do and would always check with me as to what needed to be done and the cost..I cannot say enough good things about the Clock Works.
