My experience with this office was pleasant it was my first time there with my 12 year old daughter she was just diagnosed with alopecia,. We got ever question answered and are starting treatment right away Thank you to the doctor and staff for making us feel comfortable.
I love Doctor. Yohana Shum, she’s the best my daughter face is so much better I really love this place but specially Yohana we are always excited to see her and everyone in the office. Definitely recommend this place

They are not bad , i know my problem and i know that isotretinoin is the solution so i just went there for the prescription.The unfair thing they have is timing, your appointment at 11:00 but you should expect waiting for at least 40 mins !
This place is excellent the staff is pleasant and welcoming. The doctor is very caring and detailed. I recommend this place to everybody.
EDIT: We had a lovely experience here until this week when I called to get a refill on a prescription for my son and was told they wouldnt do it unless I came in for a visit. We were here a little over 4 months back. At that last visit the provider told us we dont need to come back unless things got worse and to call if we need refills. Sounds like they since changed their policy and didnt inform anyone resulting in my child now being in pain and without his much needed meds because we didnt budget for an in person visit and wont make it till next week and they dont have virtual availability either. They will not one time budge even though we are only few weeks outside of the 4 month window (their new policy). So much for caring for your patients, you just lost one.Lovely, clean practice. I bring my toddler here and the doctor is super kind and gentle with him, havent once gotten him upset which is rare for doctors visits with a child. The wait is super quick and the visits are efficient though feel very thorough and attentive. Theyve done a great job resolving some mysterious and quite painful skin issues my kid was dealing with. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love coming here. When you arrive there is usually not a wait and I was seen at my appointed time. The receptionist and staff here are really helpful and polite. It is incredibly clean here which I truly appreciated. My concerns were listened to and Dr.Yvonne immediately knew what my problem was and how to fix it. She has been working with me and it been a blessing.
Dr Choudhury is an amazing Dr. I would recommend him to everyone. He is always patient, understanding, and caring.He is very knowledgeable and experienced. The treatment plan that he has put me on has been noticeably effective. Dr Choudhury is the “Best Dermatologist”.

Went in with my mother for her appointment, decided to see if I can be seen as well as a walk in. Took me in immediately, super nice and educated staff. Would 10/10 recommend.
Dr. Lam was very knowledgeable and welcoming. She addressed all my questions and concerns and was willing to help in anyway that she can. Definitely recommended for anyone who has complicated skin issues.
I loved coming to this dermatologist. Dr. Christine actually listened to me and answered all my questions. The best part is she listened I have met dermatologist in the past and they never listen. This place is great i’ve been to many dermatologist and none compare to this office they are very welcoming, clean and understanding i also bring my son to see Dr. Lam and after his treatments he’s much happier with his skin i would recommend this place to anyone looking to clear up there skin and feel comfortable doing so.

Can’t get biopsy results for a month! So called Doctor doesn’t remember what kind of cream she gave me ! They don’t keep records of what treatment they did during last visit ..floor in exam room is nasty .. covered with some dark brown spots … sunset park location is definitely not a good place to visit
They were all very courteous, including Physicians Assistant Christine Lam. They had cold bottled water to offer for free which I appreciated greatly. Convenient location. Chairs that fit my big butt which I also appreciated. I just hope the medication P.A. Lam perscribed starts to work in the next day or two. Except for the fact that I was unhappy to learn P.A. Lam isnt a full-fledged Dermatologist, I am pretty okay with my first experience. But you MUST BE AWARE you dont get to see a real dermatologist. Unfortunately, they dont tell you this disturbing little fact when you make your first appointment.UPDATE (4 Months later, 2/18/22): The medication P.A. Lam prescribed me didnt work at all. It was a steroidal ointment, but it made my hands itch even more. For my next appointment I requested a REAL Dermatologist but they only made a Skype appointment for me which I canceled on the phone two days before the appointment. Then the day after the canceled appointment I received an email asking me why I didnt keep it. I was very unhappy with that and this chain of Dermatological Offices all over Brooklyn and, possibly, the city. I honestly cant recommend this place.
I visited another dermatologist office it didnt work out. Came to Sunset Park location right away i was provided with the right treatment. Very happy. Will be coming back. Thank you
My experience at this place was great. The ladies in the front and the medical assistant were friendly. The only reason I didnt give my experience a 5 star is because I felt the Provider wasnt exactly warm and friendly. She seemed to be experienced and knowledgeable about her specialty but she wasnt very engaging. She didnt smile at all. Other than that, I definitely would recommend this place.
Honestly by far this is the most cleanest patient friendly doctor’s office I’ve ever been to. My son had an allergic reaction to one of the medicine that was prescribed to him and although I didn’t see his dermatologist her colleague was very friendly, patient and understanding. When I went back for the follow up visit, his dermatologist told me she was filled in on what occur and I didn’t have to repeat myself. That makes me feel very reassured that even if I don’t see his regular doctor they all communicate to do what’s best for the patient. I will not give them up. Also the front desk girl I didn’t get her name but she is the dark skin one. I love how professional she is, they all are. I am so happy I found this office. Sunset dermatology and their staff are AMAZING 😻. Thank you for making this experience a lovely one.
This office was a referral and it was a great one. The office is clean and the staff is friendly & efficient. The dermatologist Yvonne was knowledgeable and pleasant. She explained my daughter’s condition in plain terms. And the treatment plan was one that my daughter can follow. Glad we have a great place to go to to care for her skin.
Staff is friendly, Dr. Was very informative, caring and honest to my son and us. And what I found to be more important is he is a father of two kids.The office is so nice and clean, this is also very important to me. They also provide you with water or seltzer. Why would I give five stars? Because of their service and environment. The doctor, Ms. Lam, was pretty professional, and she explained everything thoroughly and made it for me to easy understand. And the receptionist is very friendly. The clinic is so tidy and spacious.

This was my first time here and I honestly enjoyed my visit. I had a rash developed in a course of 3 days which was very itchy and and slightly painful. The doctor looked at it and also questioned what I could have used to make my skin so irritated. She was great. Answered all my questions and was willing to give recommendations on what type of products I should and shouldn’t use.The staff was also nice and the office space was cute. I was happy with my visit.

My daughter And I came in as a walk in. We weregreeted by the receptionist. They were very amicable. My daughter and I was seen within 30mins of us arriving. As a new patient that’s impressive. Our dermatologist (Yvonne Huang) was extremely attentive and informative. Would DEFINITELY recommend!
First time here and I had a really great experience. I had suffered with acne for about 12 yrs now I have tried everything in this planet and my acne would not disappear. A few years ago I went to a dermatologist and he told me it’s hormonal acne there nothing you can do about that ohhhhh bummers my hopes just dropped to zero. So this time I said wait there has to be a solution I found this place and the doctor clearly told me of course there’s a solution to hormonal acne she prescribed me 2 topical creams and a pill I can’t wait to show my results the doctor was very informative and very professional the place is nice ana clean I loved it thank you so much 😊
I initially had an appointment scheduled in the Manhattan office for my 20 month old son. He has an acute skin condition. He’s miserable and scratching uncontrollably. The Manhattan off cancelled my appointment without speaking to me directly and rescheduled me for the Sunset Park location the next day. I arrived early for his 4 PM appointment. Only to be told that the office had canceled my appointment. My appointments had been canceled twice without my consent because the providers did not take my insurance. I complained to the secretary about the policy. I paid out of pocket for the visit. This practice of canceling appointments due to the provider not accepting insurance is discriminatory. The client must be asked if he or she wants to proceed with the appointment regardless of their insurance. My son has ASD. He cried for 40 minutes in the office because we had to wait to be seen. The office had me wait because they had given away our appointment. I notified them that my son has ASD. This did not matter at all. We then headed to the pharmacy and discovered that the doctor never sent of the prescription. Overall this was a terrible experience.
Im quite pleased with the progress of my issues that Ive had when I first came to your Dermatology Specialist office three weeks ago. Im looking forward to a full recovery soon thanks to Dr. Kristy Gonzalez diagnosis and advise. I would gladly refer her to friends and family members to be evaluated if they need a good Dermatologist.
I had an appointment for 10am today at Dermatology Specialists at their Sunset park Bklyn location.I entered at 9:57am ,checked in,completed a short form & within a few short minutes a doctors assistance greeted me & escorted me to a patient room.They confirmed the reason for my follow up appointment,asked a few additional questions & said my dr would be with me shortly.Shortly thereafter my dr - Yvonne Huang entered & immediately asked to see my hands to check on their condition.Dr Huang was compassionate/personable & professional.Dr Huang is also doing her best to get my insurance plan to approve me for a treatment that’s difficult to be approved for without the very expensive price tag.Thanks to Yvonne its looking promising.All of the other personnel/employees are also professional & personable……I had my next appointment/3rd visit this week on Monday 12/6/2021 @ 9:30am - checked into /within few minutes the dr assistant took me to patient room where shortly Dr Yvonne Huang came in.She then gave the the great news that after one application,request ,denial then an appeal - Dr Huang was able to get me approved for Dupixent ! Thanks to Dr Huang’s efforts I will be able to treat my often extreme eczema/dermatitis with Dupixent & we administered the 1st dosage together.Going forward Dupixent will be delivered to my home.I previously had gone to another dermatologist perhaps 6 times & they Never offered to attempt to even apply for Dupixent - I would once Againe like give a Huge thank you to Dr Huang & Dermatology Specialists.I Completely /Totally recommend Dermatology Specialists - ///////////// Sorry,this review was mistakenly repeated from an earlier appointment - but while I’m at it ,….I had another appointment today June 6th ,2022 - Which went great - swimmingly - First off thank you to the staff up front in the office area whom I asked to check my newer insurance plan to see if Dermatology Specialists accepted it - Prior I had to pay out of pocket for my appointments- the young woman I asked spent at Least 10 minutes on the phone ☎️ & finally was able to share with me that my newer insurance was inDeed accepted.Then…shortly thereafter Kelly led me into patients room to prepare to see my doctor,Dr Huang ,who checked on my condition,administered nitrogen treatments to me & was as always the consummate professional ,completely knowledgeable while still remaining Extremely personable - I cannot say enough regarding Dr Huang - So once again I had a fabulous/great/wonderful visit.I fully recommend The Dermatology Specialists to All !
I am as all humans a creature of habit.and at 50 years of age was very uncomfortable visiting a new dermatologist after being a loyal patient another dermatologist for over 30 years who is no longer available.getting to the point: I was 5 star satisfied!beautiful office, wonderful staff, and a very friendly and pleasant doctor. Place is very new and clean. Receptionists were very helpful. PA Huang addressed all my questions re my concern of hormonal acne. She was very professional. I have switched dermatoloy groups and I think Im staying with The Dermatology Specialists because they listen to your concerns more and addresses your issue well.

The incompetence at 42 st and 8th Ave office is staggering. I needed to make 3 appointments and 6 phone calls for them to finally send my pharmacist a prescription. Avoid this location. A total disaster !!!!
Yvonne was amazing. I wasn’t sure what to expect but she and her assistant were communicative and kind and warm and they made me feel so comfortable and calm. It was an excellent experience overall.

I’ve been coming to Brooklyn dermatologist since December of 2016 and I’ve never had a terrible experience here. I’ve been to the Atlantic and sunset park location, all front desk reps, techs and medical office assistants have been nothing but welcoming and patient. My only issue is that I never get someone on the phone at Sunset Park, i never had that problem at Atlantic.Dr. Choudhury has been amazing, whenever I ask questions he answers and my concerns are addressed. My acne and hair loss have gotten so much better .

I came to this location because the one in Bensonhurst 86st was closed on Friday. I love the idea of walk-in, but contacting them is just a hassle. There is no direct line and for walk-in wait time is not bad, I probably waited for 30min or so. it was not long, but then they prescribe me a cream that my insurance doesnt cover. I have been trying to reach them for 3 days and they have yet to resolve this and meanwhile my skin is getting worst so not really happy about the service.PRO- Welcome Walk-In, no appointment needed so this is great as most places dont have any walk-in or immediate appointment until a month or soCONS- No direct line and a hassle for everything else, the service was ok.UPDATE: Its been 3 days trying to get a hold of the Doctor to change my prescription that my insurance does cover and as day pass by and my skin is getting worst. Seriously this is already unacceptable. Not happy with this place having so many great reviews!
This was one of the best medical visit experiences I’ve had in a long time! Super cute office with calming colors and the friendliest staff. Extremely efficient and was seen on time. I look forward to future visits with them. I will definitely recommend them to friends. Thanks!

Terrible. I asked about a cyst removal on my wrist. I called and asked if the doctor could drain or remove the cyst on sight at the medical office. The operator said possibly and told me to come on in. I couldnt get a straight answer and forget about even asking to get a doctor to speak with you on the phone so I could ask the doctor directly themselves. I made the appointment and when I was seen by the doctor I was instantly told I have to see a hand surgeon. I could have been told this over the phone instead of wasting my time go to the doctors office and being charged $30 for co-payment. To top it off they couldnt even give me a referral to a hand surgeon because they dont do that! A complete waste of time.
The sunset park location is fantastic!!!The staff are so attentive and nice. They made me feel very safe especially in the time of Covid they followed all the safety precautions. It’s a beautiful location I will definitely be back.
For those who’s are considering about this locations. PLEASE Don’t COME and WASTE YOUR TIME.I came to this new location for the 3rd time this year and each of every visit, there’s a delayed. Last visit I waited for 1 hr til I get to see the Dr. & the whole process with the doctor it’s 5-10min long. Then this time my appointment was at 2pm. I have to wait til 2.45pm til I get to see the Dr. As I get impatient I went out to question the staff, what’s going on? Then one of their staff questioned me back” Have you been to any doctors appointment before”? I wanted to file a complaint with the manager but no ones was on duty. Bottom point, don’t waste your time coming to this location. It’s unprofessional and I will never coming back again.

The doctor I saw was about as interested in my skin or issues as she would be in an ant crawling on the sidewalk. She blew me off twice. Once while in her presence, and as I was leaving. I asked the front desk receptionist to follow up with her about mole removal and cortisone shots. She again totally ignored my request even through the receptionist. Maybe she doesnt work with black skin.
I have been to this office 2-3 times. The Dr Dermatologist he is very pleasant to talk to. He listens to your concern and treats the problem right away. I am coming again for another treatment. I really enjoy going to this Dermatology office. The wait is not very long and the front girls are very lovely and work right away with your concerns. I do recommend this lovely office :) The Doctors are Super great and they do take their job seriously.
I was scheduled for a follow up appt, as well as two new appts for my children almost 3 weeks in advanced, after receiving multiple text message confirmations I have arrived for my appt and the office is CLOSED!. No phone call to reschedule, and yet a text reminder from only a few hours to come in. Soooooo unprofessional! I’ve never experienced something like this.

My experience was very pleasant. There was short waiting time to see the doctor. The doctor’s assistances was vey pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. The doctor explained my situation to me clearly in layman’s language that I could understand. Thank you very much to the entire team.

Will never return:Got a call the day before the appointment that the doctor wont be in until 11 (appointment was at 9). Okay, no problem, ill be there at 11. I arrive at 11 to find the entire clinic CLOSED. I was very confused- maybe I was at the wrong location (I wasnt).I call them to ask whats going on and apparently the doctor wont be in until after 12??? And that they dont have my number in file and thats why they couldn’t contact me.... but, mind you, they called me the day before..Finally get back around 1pm (after rerebooking the appointment) only to find that there is a long wait ahead of me.Also, this appointment was for my 1.5 year old and appointments with babies/ toddlers are already difficult, now add miscommunication and last minute “the doctor is running late”On top of that, it was very obvious the doctor (or nurse) was not having a great day- very dismissive and felt like they didn’t understand a mother’s worry for their babies skin.She ended up giving me some medication for my child but it was only so I could shuttup.Did I feel taken care of? NODid I feel like my child was going to be taken care of? NOx10000Beware of this rude establishment.
I went today because I have some terrible hyperpigmentation on my face after receiving a chemical peel and microneedling at the same time from a different facility (please dont judge me I didnt know and this is a BIG LESSON for me). From the front desk to the medical assistant Mohammed to meeting Dr. Lam and expressing how sad I was with what happened she was really nice, listened to my concerns, and prescribed the appropriate treatment. Im getting my prescription tomorrow and I will document my journey but I do want to say if you are looking for a good dermatologist that is friendly, thorough, and professional go to this place. I cant wait to see how my skin transforms and I can gain my confidence back again :) Thank you Dr. Lam!1 week update: I have been using the hydroquinone cream for one week already and I am noticing that my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from that mishap I mentioned above is improving ( I have a light to medium brown shade so the scars are very visible). I know it will take time to heal but I want to cry tears of joy because I know that my skin is in the right hands and I cant wait for my follow up next month. Dr Choudhury and his team provide excellent, prompt, and expert attention. I have been to two other dermatologists, and had given up hope that my skin lesions would ever be stopped, much less improved. But with one test treatment from Dr Choudhury, I’m seeing the lesion almost completely gone after less than a month. The others have now been treated, and I’m hopeful now that this finally will be under control.
It’s clean and bright inside. I have been to other location at similar time of a day but there is always crowded with patients. But this location ( Sunset Park) is not so as crazy and we got called sooner.
There is never any wait time and the staff is always courteous.

I would not recommend this office. I have used two different doctors at this practice and each of them were dismissive and rushed me out of the office. They did not seem knowledgeable about my condition and had no inclination to help or advise me.

Desk people were super nice and scheduling was easy. Was also easy to book an appointment. However, seeing the doctor actually felt a little bit rushed.
Staff there are super nice; Doctor Wu is professional & patiently; location is very easy to find parking; the office is beautiful, new & neat; they also well manage the appointments so you don’t need to wait in long line; and you will getting bunch of skin samples as visiting gifts when you leaving, the best clinic I’ve ever visited!
I am extremely satisfied with my keloid scar results. I am getting treated for some months now and the results are really showing patience is the key.
I went in with problems with my skin came out with solutions and reasons why my skin needed the care. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air to be seen by such knowledgeable physicians and medical professionals. If you have any skin issues I highly recommend went in there for 3 of my skin issues and got all of them solved thank you 🙏🏻

They are pro through and through. I’ve been to two locations and they are identical in decor and cleanliness. The staff is the same. Identical in awesomeness and professionalism. They will be my skin specialists until I no longer have skin.
Location is extremely easy to find meter parking. Waiting area is near and clean. Staffs are super friendly and professional.
The whole staff makes you feel like home. From the secretary to the assistants to the doctors. They take such care and thought into their patients.
Im glad the visit with Dr. Choudhury was successful, subsequently to prevent hair loss. The treatments are very important to me.
Update** my skin has cleared up tremendouslyAshely Wu was amazing! I had a major acne bump on my forehead she put a needle in it to kill the bacteria and reduce inflammation the bump was gone by the end of the day I also am suffering From postpartum acne on my cheeks she prescribed me 3 medicines and for me to come back in a month hopefully everything goes well I tried everything from Neutrogena to Murad to Sunday Riley to the ordinary nothing worked fully they delivered my medicine to my door the very next day since it wasn’t covered under my insurance I’m very pleased with them! I recommend my mother in law to go

I was struggling with severe acne for multiple years. Dr. Choudhury helped me get rid of it. All of the staff are very friendly and funny. He and Dr. Buka treated my acne scars and Im very grateful for their help.
Had a terrible experience with Ms. Ashley. My 18 months old was totally misdiagnosed and was prescribed meds for it. Being an RN, had some knowledge about vats going on , asked further questions which was answered with so much attitude . Thank God to save him from any complications with the misdiagnosing. Good experience with the doctor but rarely see him even though they promise u before making appointments.. Will never go back again.
Extremely expensive. Outrageous. A doctor looked at my face and wrote me a prescription, then charged hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. Only go here if you have good insurance with no deductible.
Friendly Staff, clean envonriment, the specialist actually cares about your wellbeing and getting your skin in the right direction unlike the other ones i gone to in the past. Will be sticking with this place from now on

2022-08-10On a blazing hot day this office visit was rather refreshing. I was greeted with a cold beverage of my choice and a clean cool reception area. The receptionist was pleasant and professional. I was there for my teenage son. The Doctor was very careful and kind. I was very satisfied and pleased with her. I will definitely refer all my friends and family.

2022-08-24The staff was SO FRIENDLY. Absolutely loved my encounter with Asma, she was super attentive and kind and it felt like my needs were definitely being taken into account. i felt listened to. She was noting down all my concerns, and was so reassuring. Absolutely LOVED her!! The PA and doctor were amazing as well. Love this location over all the other ones I visited, definitely sticking to Sunset Park.

2022-07-27Bright,clean, airy office with high ceilings, and attentive staff that maintain eye contact. Forms are neat, and used and clean pens were kept separate. Medical assistant was friendly and types fast. PA was calm and knowledgeable. Dr. Choudhury has always provided wonderful personalized care so I have followed him from office to office whenever I needed a dermatologist. He’s the best.

2022-08-11Upon entering the office , I was greeted by a very kind receptionist. She took my information and was very clear on the forms I had to fill out as a new patient. Once I was done with the forms she politely offered me water or seltzer water I could help myself to from their fridge , which I thought was super nice. The Dermatologist was very informative about my situation and I was very pleased with her diagnosis and recommendation . Awesome place to come to if you’re in need of a great dermatologist.

2022-05-07Everyone in the clinic is nice and helpful and knows what they’re doing.Starting off at the reception area, the lady was very welcoming and explained everything that needs to be filled out in the form.There was also no wait to be seen which is a great thing.Glad I actually came to this clinic and location.Will absolutely recommend this place to friends and family.

2022-06-23Today was worse than other visits. We arrived 10 minutes early, just to find out the person wasn’t coming in. When I asked why they didn’t call, receptionist stated “we didn’t know until this morning.” At 1:40, 20 minutes waiting a woman comes in waits 5 minutes and in she goes. I asked what happened we were here before her and it was “owe we will be with your son soon!” Now 1:56 still waiting and receptionist says “ owe your still waiting” at this point I am annoyed and worse when we went in the room woman who left and I was told wouldn’t be with us comes back, while the other lady taking our info was at a snails pace. It was a follow up with another issue and it was the inner part of his arms which they kept calling “hands.” It was the worst visit and frustrating because we could have easily rescheduled if they would have advised us that she wasn’t coming in. Yes my kid got meds but they did not read the notes prior to seeing us. Not going to this location again. No mask signs and people touch dirty pens, another woman took clean pen and put it right back.

2022-07-21We are very happy yo have found Dr. Sourab. He helped us manage our daughters eczema when it was at it’s worst. He also explained very well how to use the medication so that we could be more relaxed using a steroid medication. Him, explaining things to us was very important because my husband once had topical steroid addiction and we were fearful to use the medicines. It seems like she is growing out of the harsh eczema she used to have, we couldn’t be happier.

2022-05-20Everything was great the first time i went, the doctor i saw was christina lam who was very friendly, patient, and helpful. today was so bad i had to write a review. i booked an appointment with yohana shum because she was the only provider available today. immediately entering the room, she rushed to introduce herself and was being very passive aggressive. she interrupted me multiple times when i was explaining my problem. i told her i had a rash on my leg and she told me to pull my pants down, looked at the rash for like 10 seconds, and told me to pull them back up. she then asked me if i had any irritation. well… was that not the rash you just saw? i never feel this way with other doctors i’ve seen but i felt disrespected. she did give some helpful advice but did not have the best attitude.
