Our dog had a wonderful time boarding at the Dog Lodge. The staff were wonderful with her! Shes a low energy play kind of dog and can easily be overwhelmed by more high energy dogs. The staff were very thoughtful and were able to accommodate her well. Thanks again, and we look forward to the next time Korra can stay with you.
Very happy with The Dog Lodge. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. They provided a tour for us before having our dog visit. Happy with the large areas for the dogs to excersize and play as well as the kennel accommodations. The staff evaluated her and determined what group of dogs she would fit in with the best. We are confident that when we board her she will be well taken care of
I picked up our pup unexpectedly early after a 10 day stay. Of course he wasnt ready from The Dog Lodge standards to leave (no bath or bedding washed bc I wasnt scheduled to pickup until the following day), but I was very pleased with his appearance and the staffs ability to get all his belongings together in a timely fashion. He wasnt dirty and they were very organized. The staff shared his notes with me after the long stay, hes better behaved thanks to command work, and hes still tuckered out a day later from so much play. He appeared very well taken care of which is so reassuring!! We love getting the report cards too!! We are so happy with The Dog Lodge! Thank you for always taking such wonderful care of our boy! 😃❤️🐶
Our dog goes there for day care twice a week. Their boarding and daycare services are really impressive. They consider each and every dogs need and provide the care accordingly. They also have other services such as grooming and other packages for exploring the farm. My dog loves it.
I absolutely love the Dog Lodge! The staff there is amazing, always offering superior customer service. The facilities are clean and the staff tries to be as readily available as they can via phone/text. I was very nervous about leaving my frenchie puppy over night for a couple days when I first moved to Syracuse. She had never been away from me, as she is very attached. However I received texts, and emailed report cards that allowed me to be at ease while being away on business. As long as we are in New York, Yara will be at the Dog Lodge for daycare and boarding!Thank you!!
Its been over a year and a half since Oliver has been attending doggie day care at the Lodge. He loves it as much today as he did on day one. They are very caring and conscientious of each dogs needs. He has also had several extended overnight stays. Its so reassuring to leave our baby in a place that he is safe and so well taken care of. The Lodge is spacious and clean and Ben and crew are updating things all the time. I cant say enough positive things about The Dog Lodge. Love it!!!
We brought our 4 year old shepherd mix to the Dog Lodge after she was no longer behaving well at another Daycare facility (so we were told). We were very concerned that she had begun to act anxious around other dogs, but we didn’t want to prohibit her from socializing and playing with other dogs. My sister recommended The Dog Lodge because they take a much more personal approach for your dog, and are willing to take dogs who don’t always play well with others! On her first day they checked in with me to give me an update and at the end of the day when I picked her up they gave me a report card on how she did! It was awesome! I am so happy that my pup can still go to daycare! I would reccomend The Dog Lodge to everyone!
We have visited the Dog Lodge many timesOver the past several months. The property is beautiful and well taken care of. The dogs have plenty of room to run and play! I highly recommend the Dog Lodge for boarding, daycare and training. Ben and the staff are kind, courteous and professional. Its cool to see the Alpacas too!😊
Originally, the dog Lodge was great up until an email I received last week stating they were only taking members, and who cares about the rest of the loyal customers they have been servicing. They now require monthly membership, with the cheapest being $224 a month. Not only is this not financially possible for our family, it is unreasonable due to our employment circumstances for us to commit to two times a week, especially because this was just for socialization for our dog, Buddy. I cant seem to figure out why they would change this policy other than to make more money for them. Little do they know its going to cost them a lot of loyal customers. in the email, they state one of the reasons for changing this policy was to make it so the packs are consistent. But Im not sure how this will work seeing how they are still boarding non-members, as well as taking new members, so it seems the pack will always change. Part of important training for dogs is to be able to adjust when things change so it would seem to me that having different packs should be a good thing.In summary I would think twice about using them for your daycare options. They clearly have no care for loyal customer service. Maybe thats exactly who theyre trying to Market to, very wealthy individuals that are able to pay nearly $250 a month, rather than the working-class folks who are just trying to get by, but care about their dogs and want them to be socialized.
My Australian Shepherd puppy stayed at The Dog Lodge last week and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience. It’s quite a process to register your dog the first time but I totally understand why they do it. They like to spend the day with your dog before you board him to make sure he gets along with the other dogs there. The best thing for us was that our dog was able to spend most of the day outside playing with other dogs! Not stuck in a crate all day. I was worried about him and texted the Dog Lodge and they texted back with pictures and reports on how he was doing. Such a great piece of mind! I love how easy it is to go online and register him for boarding dates. I am so happy we found this place close to my home and safe for our dog. I highly recommend!!!
My pup Hudson has just completed our Test Day at the Dog Lodge, and loved it! I was shopping around for doggie day cares for a while, and as a Camillus resident especially, the Dog Lodge has stood out to me since the beginning of my search. My family has an 11 month old 63 pound lab mix that we rescued in September. Hes very mild mannered and loves everyone, but can be apprehensive about new environments (or is that just me??). He went right back with the staff member and didnt even look back! He had a great busy day and I absolutely loved the written out report card about his activities. They also brought up a health concern they had, which I appreciated (we were going to the vet right after!!). The grounds are amazing in person, and the facilities are clean and up to date as I could see. They will probably be our first choice if we ever need to board our pup, as well. We cant wait to go back!!
The Dog Lodge has an excellent staff and first rate play areas and boarding options. My dog loves going to the place and is generally exhausted when she gets home. They also do a great job with grooming services. I have highly recommended this business to a number of people and continue to highly recommend this place.
Excellent staff. Clean and inviting atmosphere for your dogs. My lab lives going there. Always greeted with a smile. Alex does a super job and you can tell how much she cares about dogs.
Toured their grounds and facility today. Everything is neat , clean and orderly. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions enthusiastically. The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful with lots of trees and green spaces. My dog is scheduled for a day test there on the 30th. Looking forward to working with them and cant wait for my dog to stay there.
A one of a kind dog daycare/boarding facility. The dogs have access to both indoor and outdoor play areas which are beautifully kept. The owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and truly love dogs. Its almost like a park setting when you drive up the hill and notice the alpacas lounging around in their areas. Our dog couldnt be more happy when we pull into the driveway and seeing his tail wag that fast makes it worth every penny. Anyone who has a dog that needs some extra play time should absolutely visit.
My dogs have been going there for years. When we travel, they enjoy time with their friends. It’s a very safe second home for them, very clean, and the staff is wonderful. I ne er worry about my babies while they are there. They enjoy play time, the suites are amazing, and after every bath they look, smell and feel beautiful! I would recommend the Dog Lodge to all!
We adopted a one year old 90 lb husky and he is an incredibly smart and strong dog, so smart he ran circles around us....two trainings with Zachary and Huey is showing incredible discipline and growth....heeling, stay, sit, come! My two goldens recently went for a test day here and they seemed to like it. The staff was professional and friendly, however I did notice a lack of necessary covid precautions. Overall it was still a good experience, and I am looking forward to boarding my dogs there in the fall.

I took my 8 month old, super high energy weimaraeimer/lab mix to the Dog Lodge for his test day and could not be more pleased! Not only did he come back tited (which in itself is incredible) but they offered very insightful feedback! Their services are well worth the price! I wish I could afford to send him every day - and so does he!
We have a very high energy, special needs german shepard. The time and care they give him is fantastic, very knowledgeable about dog language and the needs of each individual pet. Since we are a very outdoorsy family, the hikes and walks are right up sledges alley. Very pleased with the services and daycare. We will be life-long customers.
Staff was informative and friendly during our tour and at the drop off for testing. The various areas were clean and well cared for in each spot. Written feedback and conversation was welcomed after our test day. Looking for a clean, safe and welcoming place for our pup...believe we found it.
Was very nervous leaving our dog in the care of others for the first time. The staff bent over backwards to reassure us everything would be fine, and even texted us updates and a video of our dog happy and playing with the other dogs. Would definitely recommend the place to others.
I didnt feel like the staff took the time to understand our dog (even after being blatantly told that he does better with dogs around). I have this image of him cowering in the corner of a 5 cell without windows alone all day with staff occasionally trying to get him to do stuff. Yes, our dog is anxious, but we let the staff know that during drop off and over the phone beforehand. When I picked him up, it was clear from the staff that our dog did very little during his 8 hours at the facility.Additionally, I was put off that the area where he was all day was staff only - no webcam? Finally - I did not read anywhere that he would not be wearing his collar all day at the facility. We have a GPS on it for his security.
So much potential, but was disappointed when we toured. The website says that they are situated on acres of land, but the fenced in play area in no larger than my living room. The dog “suites” are nice, but this place could be so much more if they actually used the acreage for dog play. The dog “training” area looked much larger than the play area. Decided to use a different place to board our dog, which was closer and had a larger play area. Very disappointing and the website is very misleading.
I have two large dogs and they are welled care for when I leave them in the care of the lodge. The staff is very friendly and when I email checking on my pups they are very quick to respond and that makes this Mom happy.
All that I need to say is that this is the first Dog Boarding Facility that my dog actually likes going to. He pulls me to get into the building and not away like the other places. We love it there!! The people are so nice and you can tell that they care a lot about the dogs.
We have used the Dog Lodge several times to board our dog Zana while we go on vacation. The staff is friendly and interacts great with the dogs. The facility is beautiful and Zana gets excited for her trips there. I highly recommend the dog lodge!
My dog really enjoyed going to the dog lodge, so I’m particularly disappointed that they decided to move to a members-only daycare model and require 8 daycares per month. It’s just too far and inconvenient for me to take my dog here twice a week. It’s a shame, we will miss the dog lodge!
The staff made my wife and I very comfortable about leaving our dog with them. They answered all of our questions, and didnt shy away from addressing some complaints theyve had in the past - complaints that were honestly pretty silly if you know anything about dogs.
Norman and I both had a great first experience. He went for his test day yesterday and they said he did amazing and was welcome back anytime. He must have had a great time because he was pooped and very well behaved when he got home (not that he isnt anyways but having him tuckered out was a bonus).
Amazing staff and my GSD is finally in a safe place for boarding. Can’t thank Dog lodge enough. Favorite is the hikes option too!

Went for free evaluation learned so much couldn’t believe it and didn’t have to pay . My dog is so improved and so have I just from that. Can’t wait to start group classes love Donna she is so good with the dogs. Highly recommended.
I dropped off my two dogs for their very first Test Day. I was so nervous but when I picked them up, they said they did great and can come back any time! Everyone was so nice! I cant wait to bring them back.
Took my dog for a trial to see if he could be boarded there later this year. The staff was freindly and said the dog had a great day and was welcomed back anytime. Process was simple.

They are so good with my dog! Loki loves going there and playing with everyone I think it’s awesome they even send you a report card!!! I wouldn’t take Loki any where else!!!
We got updates on how our Bailey was doing! The Lodge was great, they were willing to work with us when we weren’t sure our train was going to make it back in time.

2018-01-14FIVE STARS, without a doubt. My two senior pugs love The Dog Lodge! They stay overnight often and I always feel completely at ease knowing that they will be well cared for and loved. The staff is professional and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to pet care, behavior, and personalities. Your pet wont just get a roof over its head... The Dog Lodge ensures your pet will thrive by providing an environment that allows them to feel comfortable and happy! The 26-acre wooded property is amazing, which the dogs have the option to explore... I dont know of any other kennel around here that does that. Above and beyond!!

2020-08-25My goldador has only been going here for about a week, but so far my experience has been wonderful. The manager Ally is a fun person who so obviously loves dogs. The grounds are enormous to the point of unthinkable for a doggy daycare: 10 acres normally but more with activities. The Lodge also has a pleasant rustic, homey feel. While I wish they were also open on Saturdays, as I sometimes have Saturday classes at my college, their availability during the week is great.

2021-02-25The Dog Lodge is a wonderfully modern dog boarding facility located in the heart of Central NY. The facility is situated on a 20+ acre farm and offers walking trails for your furry friend to enjoy during their stay which I like as my senior dog did not like play groups. It made me happy knowing that she was getting some special attention just for her. The Dog Lodge also offers doggie daycare, basic grooming, training, and pet supplies. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend The Dog Lodge! Also, my “covid puppy” just successfully completed his test day, he is a nice tired boy this evening, and we can’t wait to go back and join the pack next week!

2019-04-02The Dog Lodge is hands down the best boarding and day care we have ever worked with.Finding a place to watch over a family member (we are dog people) isn’t an easy task.We trust the Dog Lodge with our best buddy / family dog 100%The employees are professional, welcoming and caring and you can tell immediately they have the temperament to work. Whoever is in charge of the staff has done an amazing job.I have met the owner on a few occasions and his knowledge of working with dogs shows. You can tell he trains police dogs and the pictures, certificates on the wall and awards are very reassuring.The Dog Lodge offers a variety of options from one v one walks to socialized day care.The last thing I’ll say is when you leave a family loved one behind when you have to leave town, I have never felt as comfortable as I do leaving our boy under their care. I don’t hand out praise regularly however the Dog Lodge is highly deserving of my praise. I refer as many friends as I can and this business get 5 stars from me. Thank you to the employees of the Dog Lodge for taking on the responsibility of caring for our 4 legged family member.

2019-09-17My German Shepherds, Kimber, Raven and Sadie love to go to The Dog Lodge for daycare. The facility is phenomenal, immaculate and safe. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Im grateful that the staff is well educated on dog behavior and body language. My dogs receive organized and structured play. They are exercised not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. It is an incredible place and I would definitely recommend The Dog Lodge! Thank you!! :)

2018-09-08The girls absolutely love TDL. All I have say is - going to the spa girls and the excitement kicks in. I refer to it as the spa because of the pampering they get when they are there, along with getting their nails done. What girl doesnt like that! The staff is absolutely fantastic. When we are gone, I always check-in to see how they are doing whether it be via text, e-mail or phone call and I always get a prompt response in return. Thanks to everyone at TDL for making our vacations worry free - I know the girls are in good hands. They love playing with all their friends and come home dog tired. Make sure you check their blogs, website or newsletters - your furry friend may have been captured by the paparazzi. I definitely recommend TDL whether it be for vacation, a day when you need to get things done around the house or even spa day for yourself.

2020-11-10We love boarding our dogs here! Never have to worry and they update with pictures etc if we ask. Dogs come back happy and tired. They get plenty of exercise and excellent care. Highly recommend The Dog Lodge LLC

2021-03-04Been bringing my girl here for a month and signed her up for round two! She loves it so much and the staff are amazing. I cant say enough good things about this place. Communication is great and they are professional in a fun friendly manner. I will continue to bring her here as long as I can! Thanks for taking great care of my girl while in your care!

2018-01-08We had a wonderful experience with the Dog Lodge. Our one-year-old black Lab loves it there. He was happy to see us when we picked him up, but he is also happy to go back to play with his friends. We checked in on him a couple of times while he was boarded and we were never made to feel like we were bothering them. In fact, we received a picture of him playing and information about who he was playing and how he was doing as far as listening and eating. The property is beautiful. Overall, we highly recommend the Dog Lodge.

2021-01-01The Dog Lodge is simply the best dog care facility in the area. Professional staff, great environment and activities that are matched to my dogs skill set and personality. My dog is happy and eager every time he goes, whether for daycare or boarding, I never worry when he is at The Dog Lodge.
