Makayla at this store was so helpful and nice. She hustled super hard grabbing different pairs and sizes and continually checked in with us. 10/10 experience especially since the store was busy. Thank you
I couldnt be more disappointed and frustrated with this purchase. The shoes are very heavy and uncomfortable to the point that hurt your feet a lot when walking even short distances. The manager is not client oriented or solving problem. I will never return to this store and i will throw these shoes away since after 30 days you are not allowed to even exchange them, even in the middle of a pandemic when all serious brands have more flexible policies. Waste of money.
My daughter went to this location to exchange a pair of shoes shed received as a gift and was met by the rudest, most dismissive salesperson. She said the woman was condescending, dismissive, and when politely questioned about the return policy, was hostile. She then asked for a bag, paid the $.05 cents, and the woman dropped it on the counter and walked away. Not a good plan in a compromised retail market, and an even poorer showing of humanity, much less professionalism, during the Christmas season in a global pandemic. Absolutely shameful.
Abby and Lu helped me out on a tuesday evening when it was pouring rain outside and they made me feel so welcomed. The two of them completely made my experience at the store the best i’ve ever had at any store. I found the perfect shoes for work with their help and I will def be going back to this specific store just for them. Abby and Lu THANK YOU!
Really kind and patient staff. I drove the poor girl insane trying on everything and then couldn’t use the online code in the store so had to buy them on line. She was very kind and patient after all that work.
Outstanding customer service. I was excited to finally get my own pair of Docs and the staff were more than happy to answer all of my questions. The manager went above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect ones for me, especially since I come from a place with super harsh winters. He was also able to give me some great suggestions for local thrift shops to check out after I completed my purchase.
Hello everyone. Yesterday I stopped by there, because a friend wanted to purchase boots. Then I asked about toddler boots. A employee who has short hair, told me that in these Store they dont have boots for toddler. He was really rude and no nice. Even that the order 2 employees, a latin and a blondy guys were kind and got at stock toddler boots size 9.Its so sad that Dr Martens Store has a employee like this lazy guy. He need to be trained again. The next time Ill want to buy toddler boots Ill stop by other store, even this one is near me. Atn A disappointed custom.
Super freaking rude staff. Ive been wearing Docs for over twenty years and I know what the soles look like once worn. I bought a pair at a different location in NYC with an incredible staff, tried them on at my hotel and didnt even walk around in them, and took them back to this location the following evening. Two staff members said they looked like theyd been worn. They acted like they were doing me a favor by letting me return shoes that had probably been worn all of three minutes their entire existence. Love these boots and usually dont encounter rude people wearing them, let alone sell them. If you want even remotely decent customer service go elsewhere.

One of the staff members Peter served me and my Wife, He really payed attention to detail, and took a real genuine interest in us, without coming across in a salesman type manner.As a native New Yorker, He took his own time to ask us what we were looking for and gave us advice on where to go in New York!!Outstanding guy, and awesome tattoos.In fact, all the staff members seemed friendly and seemed to work in harmony and together, which with this day and age seems to be a rare sight!Safe to say after forking out for my wifes new Docs. Shes one happy lady... Although my wallet isnt. haha

Excellent in-store experience buying a pair of Docs that were sold out online. Big shout-out to James and the rest of the team at this location! Everyone was very nice and highly recommend all the Doc boots (they will last YEARS)
I went into the Lex Ave store tonight to buy boots for my son. The pair I wanted they didnt have. A really nice and incredibly patient man named Will, was on a mission to help me and several other customers at the same time flawlessly. He found the boots I wanted in BK, called the store, wouldnt hang up until they ensured they had it, gave me quick and exact train directions, they close earlier than the city store. Im now on my way home with the last size 12 on the east coast on the eve of my sons b day. Im in retail and Will has restored my faith that excellent service is still available in NYC!

It was my first ever purchase here, Visit Dr Martens stores by recommendation But I was so upset about this location on Lex, how they ignore me this is another topic. I asked few times my size then wait 30 min to get them, when I let them know that Im still waiting they were angry and rude I tried 2 boots and afraid of ask 3th one to try and just bought one of them and left the store. 12/03/2/19. The hardest shoes I ever saw in my life, they leave your feet full of blisters in a few blocks that you walk, for a week you cannot put on shoes again and they are very expensive not to be able to use them. The manager of the place very little considered with hard and inflexible change policies in times of pandemic. I dont go back to that place and my shoes are thrown away, impossible to use them without hurting your feet. Not worth it.

2021-12-11The associate that helped me was extremely helpful. My message to her is an apology for the two trips down to the cellar for Dr.s.I would like to suggest a larger made in England selection. I purchased one pair, but not the other pair, due to only having 3 styles of the England variety. The lack there of, made it a waste of a trip into Manhattan.

2022-05-08The manager on duty(5/7/2022 6:40pm) was so rude for no reason. Literally I came in for a return, said hello to her and told her i was here to return sth. She didn’t even reply and said “receipt?” and continued to be rude the whole time. When I was leaving I told her thank you and she just starred at me. What is wrong w some ppl..never coming back.

2022-01-01Horrible customer service from a woman claiming to be the manager on January 1 2022 at 3:30pm. She refused to give me her name, completely ignored us, and when I asked if she wasn’t going to talk to us she shook her head and said “nope is that a problem.”Would love if the manager of this store contacted me so I could provide more feedback. This store unfortunately is losing business due to this employee

2022-01-07We visited the store today to buy a specific pair of DMs. The assistance from Kayleigh was perfect - she helped to ensure the size was perfect and gave advice regarding the fit and how they wound slowly wear in. We needed a 1/2 size and this was achieved with the 2nd inner sole Kayleigh suggested.Sales assistants sell stiff and others help customers. Kayleigh helped my niece to get the perfect pair of boots!

2021-07-21I was so excited to get my first pair of docs and I was helped by two ladies named Carol and Michaela. They were both super sweet and told me about all of the different shoes and how to care for them since I was so clueless lol. They brought so many shoes I couldn’t decide ! They made my first time so pleasant and easy. I will definitely come back to this location for my next pair!

2021-02-28Absolutely wonderful experience. I have a very challenging time finding comfortable shoes for my previously broken feet. Christina (part of the management team) was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I will definitely return and buy a few more pairs thanks to the great experience she provided. I love my new shoes.

2021-07-26I here to buy my granddaughter some sandals and while the petite Mexican manager was helping me these two foul-mouthed customers interrupted us and and started yelling at the manger because the shoes they wanted are only online. the manager was still polite to these ladies even after they called her the B word and left! She even apologized to me for their behavior when she should not be the one apologizing! This is a reminder to folks out there that we need to be nicer kinder to people. Especially with this pandemic you never know what may happen! I forgot lady’s name but on my receipt it says 002562 so I hope that helps. My granddaughter wants boots for her birthday so I will definitely come back to this location because the staffs mommas raised them right!
