We recently bought and sold our home with The Gray Team, specifically Ben. If you are looking for a realtor who is knowledgeable, accessible, patient, goes above and beyond, and has a high level of integrity, you will find all of those qualities (and more) in Ben and those who work with him. We looked at quite a few houses before finding “the one” and Ben was there every step of the way. He truly understands the market, is very calm during somewhat stressful situations, and had our best interest at heart. He never let us settle for a house he knew we wouldn’t be happy with, even when we started to feel discouraged. When the initial deal with the sale of our home unexpectedly fell through, Ben immediately re-listed our home despite it being a holiday weekend. Our house was back under contract very shortly thereafter. He understood and respected our need for frequent communication, which was really important to us. You will not find a realtor who is more dedicated to his clients or hard-working. On the rare occasions Ben was not available to show us a home, one of his colleagues stepped in. Everyone of the Gray team we encountered was kind, enthusiastic, willing to help and just good people. Do yourself a favor and work with the best of the best. You will not regret your decision.
Thomasina White with The Gray Team knew exactly what I wanted even if I didnt. She took me to several homes day and night and worked tirelessly and cheerfully until she finally left us in the most perfect neighborhood on our new front porch, exactly where we were meant to be. I was given great service by my realtor, Thomasina Greene at Gray Cross Realty. She had probably never been in a situation where the sale took 5 months and subsequent purchase of a new home with great credit and a huge down payment, another 3 months. I saw Ben for about 45 minutes and when he put the sign on my lawn. Thomasina however, was there and available by text, phone and email, when things seemed to come to a stand still. She was quick to get answers and advocate for me. I found that most of the answers to the questions I had about why the professionals werent doing their jobs came from Ben and sounded more like excuses. None of the hold ups were due to any aspect of COVID or anything I, the buyer, seller or Thomasina had any control over. I wont ever buy another house or sell the one I have after this experience but all the credit for getting those transactions completed really goes to Thomasina who didnt hesitate to be the squeaky wheel when I needed one. I would recommend that you ask for Thomasina Greene at Gray Cross Realty if youre looking to sell or buy a house.

In the past with realtors I have felt that while helpful, they almost feel pushy and everything has a sense of urgency. Ben is different, he gives space when you want or need it but still stays on top of things so you dont have to worry about missing something. Youll never feel pressured or rushed, and he will give you as much or as little input as you want to help make decisions. We had an issue that as far as Im concerned was no fault of his, and he still made sacrifices on his end to try to make it right. I absolutely loved everything about my experience with Gray Cross Realty. Sarah my realater was so friendly and always responsive to my text messages or emails eventhough I work overnights. I appreciate everything she did. Even when I had a few panic attacks or did not understand the logistics of buying a home. She always stayed calm and did the best she could to explain things to me. One of the owners and broker of the company also called to answer questions Sarah tried to explain to me in a different way just to make sure I understood all the mumbo jumbo as we homebuyers might not understand.. . The owner, Ben Gray, personally helped us sell our house from across country. We had a large property in Marcellus (used to be our home) that we rented and moved to California. When our tenants left we called Ben to sell. To say he went above and beyond for us is an understatement. He arranged contractors, and cleaners and staging. We followed all his recommendations and received multi competing bids it the first weekend (in November in upstate!). He skillfully negotiated on our behalf and we accepted an offer $50,000 over asking with minimal contingencies and closed a month after. I would hire the Gray team again in a second and highly recommend them for a full service realtor. We felt like our business mattered to them and they were responsive and communicative every step of the way. If you are considering them, just do it!

I first met Ben when I was purchasing my first home in 2017. He was the listing agent on a foreclosure I wanted to submit a pretty ridiculous offer on, but he trusted me from the get go(even when everyone else pretty much laughed at me). Now three year later, I have purchased the home of my dreams all because of his doing. I dragged him through some pretty scary showings in order to get to this point and he never questioned my confidence or very reaching dreams. I hope Ben is not only my lifelong realtor, but also my friend. This office has put up with all my ridiculous questions, phone calls, demands, and change ups. I do not believe there is any realtor more committed to his clients and their longevity.

Recommended a “friend” for inspection, on a place we wanted to rent, before the housing market came down, house worth about $170k and stupid us ended up paying $204,500 for something we thought didn’t have black mold or dry rot and a bad pool heater and liner. The money pit destroyed my life, or tried, contributing to ruin of a relationship, paying $2100 mortgage after he boasted our payment would be lower than the $1750 per month rent. Now upside down 10 years in after 2grand a month for ten years, still $30 g upside down. So much for dropping the $197/month pmi on the day in this decade. The guy is super nice. Maybe he had good intentions Just don’t learn things the hard way. Have a realtor and know what you’re doing.
