I love living at The Grid! I’ve never lived in a building with such great management. The building manager is so sweet and caring and truly takes the time to remember small details about her tenants. Aside from that, the amenities are all new and I love that wifi is included! I highly recommend living here.
I have lived at the grid for almost two months now and it has been a really great experience compared to the last few places i’ve lived. There is a super nice gym and rooftop that are never crowded so it’s almost like a private gym/study area. I live alone and have the one bedroom option which is the perfect size for me and my cat. At first I was worried it would feel cramped but I have people over all the time and it’s honestly perfect. The best part though is the attention from the staff. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Every time I walk through the lobby I am greeted with a smile and a “hi allie how are you?” which is super comforting. I also never have to wait long for help and am constantly being checked in on to make sure everything is going okay in my little world. It’s super nice because I am probably the youngest person in the building and it’s my first time living by myself. I never thought i’d feel so supported living by myself! it’s awesome.
The building is great, and the staff is friendly/professional but ever since moving here early this year, theres been about a dozen false fire alarms at all hours of the day. Morning, night, doesnt matter. Its starting to get extremely irritating and inconvenient (especially working at home) as you never know when the next one is going to go off for no reason. Its also hazardous when residents start expecting it to be a false alarm and ignore them completely. Might want to address the issue sooner rather than later...
Worst apartment I have ever lived in. Nothing promised by the property manager Joelisa was true. I knew from the start of the lease that it was a huge mistake. They dont give you any privacy, entering your apartment whenever they want without any notice. This place is a huge scam they discriminate against people and charge different amounts for things such as parking, trash valet, and other amenities that should be equal to all residents. The property manager is beyond rude to you after you initially move in. It is truly over priced trash. Not to mention the 2 bedroom apartments are the size of a shoe box and the bath tub is super tiny you can barely move around in it. The maintenance does not come fix anything wrong with your apartment they just look at the request and say that they fixed it or awaiting parts.. joelisa sent me a text saying the apartment was not clean after I moved out but I left it in clean condition.. I am in no way a professional cleaner. And Joe expects these apartments to look as if brand new like no one ever lived in there. As appliances were clearly used and will not look brand new! I do not recommend moving in tothis place. 0 out of 10 do not recommend.
Don’t let them lie to you. The walls are paper thin, the floors are lifting in most apartments, the office staff are rude, petty and dishonest, and the building is in a pretty unsafe area. They will try to hit you with charges for petty issues like leaving your personal items in the common area or multiple noise complaints (remember the thin walls?).Wondering how safe the nearby area is? There is a barber shop at the front of the building that was been robbed 3 times in the first month it was open. The apartment complex looks beautiful but that’s all there is to it. Speak to a current tenant before moving in if you can.
Love it here! Close to everything in Buffalo. Property Manager is amazing! I’m surprised at people stating the rooftop wasn’t available for their use when it’s opened and empty almost all week! Been here since the property opened and as the weather gets better and a lot of Covid policies are lifted it’s becoming a better place to network and expand your horizon as young professionals. Definitely a great place for those who want to live in the city with high maintenance.
I love living at the grid. Joelisa (PM) is so kind and friendly. She has a presence that draws you to her. She made the transition of moving in simple during what was a very stressful time for me. Everyone is very friendly and I feel safe living here. The amenities are beautiful. I took photos on the rooftop for my birthday and my friends thought I went out somewhere. Maintenance answers calls right away. 5 stars.
This place is good in terms of beautiful facilities, view , location , nice people in the office. However, I think they need to do a better job with screening tenants. This place is getting worse by the days. For a luxury apartment and for what it cost to live here, it’s not worth it if i have to worry about drunk people partying in the lounge every weekend (people playing loud music, screaming in the hallways) . It’s like living in the dorms but it cost you so much money. This place has potential but unfortunately it needs better tenants. The walls are so thin so you hear everything your neighbor is doing. Lots of the neighbors are inconsiderate in terms of noise!!!! If this was supposed to be a college dorm/ partying /club (lounge of buffalo) then advertise it as that not anything else. So many people /non tenant party in the lounge room every weekend. If anyone can come here or any guest can use the lounge, im really worried about security here! Are the tenants living here really safe? Anyway it sucks when I have to worry about noise, and vibrating walls from loud music both in the morning and at night. Again, inconsiderate neighbor it doesn’t matter what day or time it is!
Like others have mentioned, paper thin walls, obnoxious neighbors, and so many random utility fees? They charged me more than once a month for utilities and it seemed awfully high for a studio I lived in for half the year. The washer and dryer is actually a combo and takes forever to dry clothes and they always came out smelling burnt :)
Thank you Joe and All who supported you in making Our new home as pleasant as can be!I don’t celebrate most holidays as a Jehovah’s Witness but would like to tell you some of the things I’m thankful for;First off it’s you, from our first conversation to the present you’ve been the kindest under very trying circumstances. You truly have done your best to accommodate us while we were at the hotel with having that as an option then on top of that providing us with an air fryer, boxes, people to help us move and I’m sure behind the scenes things I’m unaware of!We arrived to coffee or tea in the lobby and many to assist us with getting into our rooms. Once inside I had the pleasure of seeing lovely flowers and a brand new 13 in Mac Book Pro with my name on it!Then, I got the pleasure of exploring all the cool details that went into making my apartment so nice, like how spacious the closet was as well as under the bed and bathroom.Plus The latest in technology with our washer dryer combo, convection microwave and dishwasher (that I have yet to use but I know I will.)I also love the upper deck, lounge and workout room. I couldn’t wait to show it off to my friends and family!Did you know, in the book of Leviticus, I learned that an Israelite could offer a communion sacrifice “as an expression of thanksgiving” this was a voluntary offering made because the person making it Loved his God, Jehovah.Thank you again and enjoy your well deserved time off!Stay safe and see you next weekMrs.Collins
Im so excited to move into this incredible building and my new beautiful apartment! Infonta made my leasing process incredibly easy and enjoyable, and the entire staff has been phenomenal in answering any questions Ive had along the way (which has been quite a few). Having driven past the building a couple times over the course of its construction, I can honestly say that it is absolutely beautiful and its aesthetics are a phenomenal addition to the downtown Buffalo area. From location to amenities and more, everything about the Grid is amazing!
I absolutely love this place! The location ia perfect for those in medical residencies since its close to the hospitals and downtown campus. Its also right nwxt to the subway station. The place is amazing, a new building, with very good amenities. I love the gym its beautiful and the roof top and rooftop lounge is also very beautiful. I just renewed my contract for another year. Staying here has been such a great experience and I honestly dont see myself staying anywhere els ein Buffalo. If youre looking for a new building with good prices and a lot of amenities in a community thats welcoming then the Grid is the place for you.
Two weeks in, and I couldn’t be happier with my move to The Grid. Along with the wonderful amenities and friendly neighbors. The on-staff residential assistant Sam, who is always willing to go above and beyond to answer any question, helped to make my transition to Buffalo a breeze.
The Grid is an Excellent Brandnew and high quality place to live for young professionals. The apartments and property are well maintained by excellent and friendly employees. The tenant manager Joelissa was incredibly helpful is assisting me move into a new apartment in my desired section of the building.
To be honest, this place is poorly run. Yes, the leasing process is simple and easy, well they want to move you in. The apartment itself: thin walls, immature neighbors, and lifting floors. For a place that hasn’t even been open a year, things should be in order. Rude and impolite woman in the front office and no parking in the main lot. Loud altercations in the parking lot! This place has the potential to be great, but unfortunately it’s nestled in an unsafe area, (someone yelling profanities day and night at the corner and I can still hear them in my apartment), and you’ll have to drive at least 15-20 minutes to get “decent” groceries. I hope they can really turn this place around and become great. Unfortunately I will not be renewing my my lease. Proceed with caution.
Do not rent here .I’m from Newmarket Ontario I go to school now at Queens college in Toronto after I did a semester at UB in buffalo. The living conditions I was so appalled by the place my friends and I where renting , nice building new but has so many negative aspects it caught us off guard my friends and I thought that a new building for $1500 us was a steal so we rented here . The top terrace was not open to me or my friends We had access to the terrace but it was always rented out and than there was the music blaring from 11 onwards very disrespectful. The resident assistants was very rude to me and my friends .The apartment company just ignored us they acted like they could not make any time for us . I am emailing and calling to let that university know and warn any future students of renting this place
Both Joe and Fonta were extremely nice and helpful with the leasing process. They patiently answered any questions I had! Im relocating to Buffalo and was initially worried about living so far from home but now thatI am leasing with the Grid I feel far more comfortable! I got very good vibes from them and me and my cat are VERY excited to move in in October!
By far the most convenient and rewarding application process that I’ve been through. Infonta and Joe was just a blast to talk to and no question was left unanswered. Their enthusiasm for this property was contagious. Also wasn’t difficult to get excited when there was a large list of amenities. It’s been an absolute pleasure working through this process with Joe and Infonta and I can’t wait to see them regularly after the move in date! If you love smart and minimalist design then this place is just a dream. I may be just as excited for Buffalo to have this property in their neighborhood as I am to move in.
Even though the Grid didn’t have availability in the type of apartment I was looking for this time, Sam (who helped me over the phone) went above and beyond to give me a virtual tour of the building and answer all my questions so I could make an informed decision without feeling pressured.
I’ll start by saying thanks to Karlee and Joe for a smooth and fast move in I absolutely love the layout of the property also let me mention that the property is basically like new it’s very clean and quiet the staff members are nice and helpful daily trash pickup is awesome for me the amenities are great with top of the line gadgets I absolutely love the rooftop can’t wait until it gets warmer so I can enjoy more overall the Grid is a good place to stay so if you’re looking for a spot do not hesitate the grid is where you want to be
The Worst Living Experience i have ever been through in my life from hidden “utility fees” to inconvenient “convenience fees” the building has been open for less than 7 months and i have had about 4-5 things in my apartment fall, break, leak, peel etc. Still to this day after making maintenance request things still arent fixed i have been harassed and threatened with eviction but was denied request to terminate lease prematurely within the same week i do not recommend moving here to anyone ever

2021-10-27The building itself is beautiful, the rooftop lounge is such a unique feature with amazing views overlooking the downtown. Ive gotten to know people from all over the world who come to the free yoga classes offered to residents, and it feels so great to be a part of a tight knit community within a building. Some apartment complexes are cold and lack that intimate feeling of being home. The Grid is that for me. 5 stars.

2021-11-16I moved here in April in a studio apartment and I absolutely love it! The amenities (gym, rooftop, lounge and conference area) make it very easy to connect with other residents. Not to mention the workers, especially Jo, are so friendly and are able to help you with any problems you may come across. Maintenance is always there when you need too and there are also RAs who are always a phone call away must you need something. They plans activities such as yoga and Bills games viewings to make everyone feel at home! Plus with being downtown there is no issues with parking! If I could give 10 stars I would :)

2022-07-11I moved to Buffalo about a month ago and have been loving my time at the Grid! They have every amenity you could want (rooftop, lounge, a gym) and is very close to downtown. The management team (Joe and Sam) are very friendly and responsive to all my needs. Maintenance is always quick and very helpful as well. Everyone who lives here is also friendly and wanting to meet new people. I was hesitant and nervous about moving to Buffalo, but the Grid and everyone who works and lives here has made it a smooth transition, and Im very happy I picked this apartment! Highly recommend the Grid to all who are looking for a place to live.

2022-03-30Many will skip, but this place is decent. However, I don’t believe the cost of living here is worth the price. Let’s use the studio apartments for example..$1,275 dollars per month, for a 375 square foot apartment ! There are mortgage rates lower than that on a whole house. Furthermore, the $1,275 doesn’t include your parking fee, renters insurance, valet garage fee, and electric. Which have all been increased in price overtime. So now you would be possibly paying more than $1,400 per month, on your studio apartment. Additionally, that doesn’t include your other life expenses either. These prices have increased significantly since this place opened in November 2020. The people who are looking to renew for a second or possibly third time will see an increase in rent by hundreds of dollars. There are no real deals to renew, nor incentives. They give some, but it will save you a few dollars. Inflation impacted are economy, but the building opened during the peak of the pandemic (2020), the rent increased many different times in this time frame. At this point, it comes off as pure greed. There are places in Buffalo that are cheaper, in safer areas, and have bigger rooms. Which some complexes have increased their rent, but some has came down from increasing(did research before expressing that statement). For having an Equal Housing Opportunity title, this seems like discrimination, because the advertisement is geared more towards just medical students. They know they’ll pay those absurd prices, most don’t know about Buffalo, and because the school is walking distance. Which we are not in the best, cleanest or safest area in the city. Besides the hospitals, medical school, and the Grid the area looks crazy. However, there are other rooms that will be WAY more expensive, I’m just using the studio as an example because its the cheapest and smallest. Just to put in perspective, what you will be facing.

2021-08-05I was hesitant to move here because its new and I read a bad review. Let me say this, you cant believe every review. This place is amazing. Joe the manager is always responsive, the building is taken care of, the tenants are nice and the amenities are just unheard of in Buffalo. Not to mention the price isnt astronomical, it could be a little lower but I guess thats what you pay for downtown buffalo living. They allow pets which is a huge plus, and the building is locked down like fort Knox so you dont have homeless people sleeping in doorways etc. If you are looking for a safe, very clean, very hip place to live in Buffalo, then the Grid is where you want to live!

2022-07-08Front Staff never ever answer the phone and never return your call at allIf you call them, they only answer 1 out of 100 attempts and I complained it and she said I am working now in this room but phone is on the other room, I dont answer the phone when I am here The distance between two rooms are only 10 feet away ! OMGThis is an updatelast week, in the morning I couldnt get into my unit because my fob did not work, so I called the Emergency phone number and left a message, and nobody returned my call, so I had to go to work straight (driving from NJ) and I stopped by the office after work (they forgot to update my fob after renewal of the lease), then I left the google review here, 36 hours later, she called me back (for the first time) and asked me if I am OK to get in the unit and asked me to delete this google review, another OMG.8 months ago, my move in date was a holiday and she gave me the code for the front door and my key for the unit supposed to be left in the unit. Since it was a holiday (nobody in the office) I made sure the key should be there and she said dont worry if it is not there, I will return all of your rental money back I trusted her and guess what. On my moving day, the door was locked and key was not in the unit and my moving company had to leave to other location, so I had to pay them extra money, and I waited for 2 hours to get a key (someone in other unit helped me out). I was in the middle of nowhere and so upset at that time, but did not make any complains

2021-11-16I moved here a year ago. Joe is great. Resident are respectful. Either friendly, or to themselves, which is excellent. Beautiful views from large windows. Temperature control...Lots of great lighting, wether from windows, or the actual lights they conveniently place in every area of the apartment. Hardwood floors make it easy to clean. All appliances one would need...secure. Noise? I hear none inside my apartment. Its cozy and comfortable. City living, without realizing it, til you look out at the views. The rooftop patio is gorgeous.Secured building. Anyone who rates this negatively is crazy. I love it. By far my favorite buffalo building, with reasonable prices to boot. Would reccomend it to anyone.

2022-01-22I was looking to move to Buffalo for work and had the opportunity to check out this building. I spoke with Joelisa, and she was beyond wonderful. She went above and beyond on her service to give me all the information and show me everything the building has to offer. I fell in love with not only the apartments here but the amenities as well.
