I came to Harrison restaurant & I ordered the steak. I asked for it well done and it was perfectly cooked to my taste. And the steak was surprising a reasonable price for the portion I was received. The restaurant is very beautiful & I love the vibe of the restaurant. Everyone here was friendly especially the staff & the bartender. I will definitely come again.
This place has a nice ambience, excellent staff, and a great new breakfast menu. Our family actually arrived after breakfast service had stopped, and the manager, Monto, was kind enough to get the kitchen to extend the time and made us an amazing breakfast. Everything was great!
Waste off time, over priced, owner is rude to his employees, food quality was not there.Me and friends came here and first of all, the drinks are 5 dollars, when they are the size of shot glasses. They charged 8 dollars for a water bottle you can buy a case of 30 for 3 dollars at BJ’s (same brand)!!!!!!!! Also The truffle fries were not great, and for an appetizer we ordered wings, and they were $16 for 7 wings that were legit so tiny. The Server would stand near our table and stare at us. I’m unsure if they were a new worker or not but she sure wasn’t the brightest. The service fee was almost 30 dollars, along with how expensive everything else was for what we got, I’m just disappointed and do not recommend anyone to waste there money here. To be in Times Square of New York I would expect way more then this. Side note: the music was so aggressively loud and not mood setting at all. Server couldn’t even hear us right at our table.
Started out at Juniors across the street but didn’t want to wait in line so we opted for this place. Plenty of staff but no one working. We waited quite sometime before someone even acknowledged us. We moved tables because the floor was filthy and slippery but when I looked at the floor to either side of us it was the same. Told the server but they didn’t seem to care. Two bowls of mediocre French onion soup, an appetizer of avocado spring rolls that were extremely greasy, a coke and a coffee…$65….what a rip off!!! Food they show on their website wasn’t even on the menu! Should have waited in line at Juniors!
Service was slow and gave soggy sliced tomatoes also gave my husband old cold potatoes and omelette with cheese not melted. They gave more tomatoes but should never happened. Recooked omelette butCaused us to be late for Good Morning America broadcast. Also while waiting on us waitress made racist slur about other customers in back of restaurant. Did not even offer consultation for bad food order 20.00 and 17.00 for breakfast don’t waste your time or money in this place bad customer service and could be racist?
Absolutely horrible! Went with my entire family for the first time & was completely disappointed. Most of the drinks on the menu , we were told they did not have the ingredients for . Why is it on the menu ? Then with appetizers and food it was the same problem again. They did not have what was on the menu. At this point we settled for what they did have. We ordered calamari and a crispy chicken sandwich, both of which were completely disgusting. The sandwich was burnt and dry . The calamari just tasted horrible . Our bill was was too high for the little amount of food we ordered and the quality of the food was extremely poor. Waiters are extremely rude and don’t know how to do their job . Not to mention, the bathrooms are filthy , no one cleans them . Save yourself your time and money before going here .
My mom and I visited NY on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. After purchasing matinee tickets for a 2pm broadway show, we walked over to The Harrison’s because it didn’t appear crowded.Arrival -12:45pmWe were immediately seated and waitress came right over to receive our order. We both ordered burgers (one with cheese and fries and one without cheese and greens)1:15 - A two person table seated close to us who had arrived after us receives their food.1:16 - Asked out waitress about our food. Her reply - “It’s coming”We summoned the “runner”, a guy who appeared to be in charge of handling things. He insisted the other table was here before us (not true) and the food was coming.1:25 -Food arrives. Only one order is correct. Sent 2nd order back to remove cheese and replace fries with greens.1:30- Second order still has cheese and the “greens” were the lettuce from the burger cut up with thrown onions on top.Another guys comes to ask how they can help make it better.Left-1:44pmPros- the burger was tasty and cooked to my likingCons- the service was extremely long for burgers and the “runner” was rude. Also no condiments were ever placed on our table - we had to borrow from our neighboring table.
I wish I could do less than one star, because I would give NO STARS!!!! The service was horrible! The staff was racist and we were completely shocked. Not only did they want to seat the two white people who came in after us, but the service was HORRIBLE!!!!!! I ordered the Belgian waffles (that comes with berries) I asked the waitress if I could get the berries on the side and she said “oh they come on the side”. She brought the order out with the fruit on the waffle, so I said oh this was suppose to be on the side. She says well that’s the way it comes! So I remind her of what she initially said. She takes the waffle back and brings me the same waffle FLIPPED OVER ON THE OTHER SIDE WITH THE SAME FRUIT in a little bowl with residue of the initial whip cream left on it!!!! I motion d for the older gentleman to come over and he rolled his eyes at us and refused to look our way! The “brioche” French toast wasn’t even brioche!!! These reviews fooled us… IT WAS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Oh and they can’t do an egg white omelette (which is from the eggs)👀👀👀
This place is absolutely pleasant to dinne to!!!Me and husband were there this Tuesday around 5-6 pm before our Michael Jackson Brodway show and we had a great time!!The food was great( I had a meat sandwich called French something, and my husband had a steak). The drinks too were amazing!!The server was amazing and super quick!! Not only with us, I saw her how she treats everyone with care . Amazing girl! God bless you blue eyed girl! Each time I’ll be in nyc this is where I will eat!!Thank you guys!!Ps: a short gentleman standing to the door i think he was the supervisor, he greeted us several time and asked if everything was okay!! Which is do nice.
If I could give it zero stars I would. They made the drinks wrong and were confused when asked to make them correctly. They didn’t have half of the menu. My partner ordered a chicken sandwich and it was multiple pieces of overcooked chicken. I ordered salmon and it was cold inside. I sent it back and it came back still undercooked. I sent it back a second time and all they did was microwave it to heat it up and it still wasn’t cooked. I gave up and went somewhere else. The service was slow and the waitress didn’t seem to understand anything that was going on. It was the worst experience I’ve had at any restaurant. Do not eat here.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I felt I had to with this place. We came across this restaurant upon our walks and thought we would give it a go as the decor and menu seemed nice.We were greeted by a female waitress who was friendly upon welcoming us and then unfortunately it all went down hill from there.Upon taking our order I asked the female waitress whether the chicken dish was on the bone and for some reason this seemed a very hard question for her to answer, eventually she confirmed it wasn’t and that it was definitely breast so I agreed on this for my main.Whilst waiting for food my glass became empty for some time with no one checking if I wanted another drink, eventually we had to ask for another drink ourselves despite it not being busy and the waitress stood around. My partner and I also ordered an appetiser to share but our main meals came out first followed by the appetiser a few minutes later. As soon as my main meal was placed in front of me I was disappointed to see the chicken was on the bone especially after I had asked for clarification around this. As such unfortunately I did not eat any of it as I was completely put off after this. I did however try some of the chicken satay skewers appetiser and they were terrible, the chicken tasted awful, the pineapple was not fresh and did not taste like pineapple and the satay sauce was so bland. My partner had a steak sandwich and he had no complaints, wasn’t thrilled but was satisfied. Not once did the waitress come over and check our food was ok nor did she try and rectify the issue she had created, it was her colleague who came over and apologised some time later. The original waitress then came back to give us our bill and pointed out specifically that no tip is added to the bills and was very forceful in her approach telling us that we needed to tip her. My partner however explained that we were not happy with the service and were already paying $30+ for food I did not eat. The female waitress again did not apologise and instead stormed off in a huff.Really disappointed, this place could be a lot better!
What an absolute shambles! The restaurant looks amazing but the server or front of house who tended to us was a total b****!!! She was rude and pushy actually physically moving a male member of staff out of the way of the till. 3 other folk in there refused to pay their full bill on account of the food being poor. After a good 20mins our food arrived and when I asked for butter for my toast, she told the male server not to speak to us so much which enraged me off as he was brilliant. I told her straight her customer service was apalling to which she threatened me saying “youre making a big mistake talking to me” At that point we had enough and got up and left our food and drink where it was. We didnt pay a penny. The only reason id come back here is to check it had closed down. Shocking.
Food is ok, vibe is meh, everything is overpriced, but the reason i put 1 star is the manager was rough with the waitress. He even insulted one of them in front of us. When a familly received half their food first and the other half later, he didnt apologies, he was frustrated and explained that its not their fault if they ordered a lot of things at 6pm... What ? The manager is really bad, always a mean look on his face, waitress had water in her eyes and look sad, immigrant exploited ? Do not support this place if you can, TO EVADE !!
I went to this restaurant today .the food is really good . I ordered Asian salad with salmon is really good and also the special Harrison burger which is amazing . I never tried before this is the first time and I appreciate for those food is worth it for me .Great job …
Food was pretty good. Loved the carrot & potato purée most. Service was overwhelmed & it took quite some time (uncomfortably long for NYC) to get served & then appetizers and the meal arrived together. In light of limited staff, the meal was very good and the staff that was there was receptive & trying. Not the place to go if you’re time constrained, but was a good meal.
It should always be a slight concern when a NYC restaurant is empty 2 hours before Broadway curtains. A bit overpriced even for NYC. Staff was slightly attentive despite very few customers. Food was good, place was very clean. They advertise a happy hour but its essentially just three drinks. Bartender seemed more concerned with making phone calls then serving the few guests he had. Cant imagine this place being able to handle a dinner rush.
Please go elsewhere....and I mean that sincerely. The staff was friendly, but the food was horrible. How can you mess up a turkey burger? It tasted like it had been in the freezer for a few years, and the cheese had an unrecognizable flavor. My boyfriend had the chicken and challah, which also was tasteless. The truffle fries had been cooked in old frying oil and tasted more like grease than truffle. We were just catching a bite as we started our day but ended up having to buy snacks and drinks along the way....we were still hungry!Definitely will not be back.
I believe their intentions were good but delivery was very poor. Our server was very nice and courteous but I got the feeling it was one of her first days on the job. She struggled to know the menu, didnt get our order right and the over charged us. The food seemed like it was made earlier and just heated up. The chicken wings were dry; the cauliflower had no taste... I noticed a bit of what I thought was honey mustard on the bottom of the cauliflower but when I asked for more sauce, no one could tell me what it was.Overall, not at all a place I would go again, much less recommend.
Decided to give this a try since all of the other restaurants in the area were packed. Walked into an empty restaurant, no music, no one talking- everything just felt very unwelcoming but since we were seated we felt obligated to stay. Who I assume to be the owner was loudly engaging about business with some sort of vendor- he looked at us like we didn’t belong. We ordered from their very limited and over priced menu. When the food was brought out I asked for my side of Au Jus, which no one understood what I was asking for. I recommend that you keep walking and eat anywhere but here.
I wish I can give this place 0 stars.First they had almost nothing available on the menu and tried to charge and extra dollar for truffle fries that were regular fries.Second they kept bringing Pepsi when we specifically ordered Diet CokeThird, we ordered flying dog ipa and the owner had the audacity to bring us lagunitas ipa and insisted it was flying dog, mind you he brought us the lagunitas bottled beer thinking we’re too stupid to read. When we requested the flying dog again I’m more than sure he just poured the lagunitas on draft. I feel so bad for the employees working under a man who doesn’t know what he’s doing
We stopped in here for breakfast as everywhere else was full and this place had a few tables, this should’ve been our first sign. We were told they had only started their breakfast menu the day before, so no menus were given and customers ended up leaving due to this. That’s when we should’ve left too. There were four items on the menu, we ordered the bacon and eggs, the plain omelette and the French toast. The bacon and eggs were the only edible food served. Not only was my omelette severely undercooked, it came much later than the rest of the food and it was clear it had been forgotten and rushed. The table beside us who ordered 20 minutes after got all their food ahead of me.The French toast was soggy and sweet, something that isn’t usually the case with French toast. It was served with fruit on the side, which had gone brown. We ordered cappuccinos, which to the staff was just warm frothy milk that costs $6. They charge $5 for orange juice poured into a glass from a carton. When they give a second glass, they just reuse the glass you have.It would have been ok if the staff were better than the food, but they were just as bad. They clearly had no idea what they were doing and we’re running around the restaurant like headless chickens. There were some moments that not a single member of staff was on the floor, something that should never happen in the service industry.A very brief and mumbled apology was given to us for the food as we paid our bill. I understand that sometimes the customer isn’t right but upon complaining, we were treated as if we didn’t a brain between us. Once I showed them that my eggs weren’t cooked, it was rushed away immediately to almost hide the evidence. Not only did we think the restaurant was badly run, but one staff member actually came up to us to tell us that he was ready to quit on the spot and won’t be lasting too much longer. We also heard him say this to another customer. He also kept muttering things under his breath as he passed, talking bad about the other staff to himself but we heard. One friend I was with tried to go to the toilet while we were there, but they were locked by staff. I’m not up to date on US service industry law but I can only assume that is illegal. All in all, it was easily the worst experience I’ve had in any food establishment. Would only recommend this if you wanted to make fun of it after with your friends.
We were sat and were catching up when a man asked us for our drink order. Suddenly our server pushed him aside to ask us the same thing. We weren’t ready so we asked for a few more minutes. She then asked what about apps? Not ready? How about you? Or you? We felt super uncomfortable because it felt very hostile. Even after putting in an app and a drink to appease her she would still be at our table staring. We had to ask her to leave and come back. Not even a few minutes she’s back and hurrying us to order. This happened three times. The food arrived and the appearance was poor. The texture of and taste of the food was also mediocre. Only the wings were good out of the buns, gnocchi, and tomato soup. The silverware was weird. Like they ordered the cheapest bulk silverware. And the food was overpriced. Why was the menu everywhere? Halal, gnocchi, bibimbop, carne asada, burgers. Our server didn’t check up on us at all. We didn’t finish our food and wanted to get out of there. As we got up to leave she then comes to our table to clear it. Why didn’t she clear it before or after but while we are leaving? Also the restaurant’s music didn’t really fit the vibe and they had Spotify with the ads. Finding the bathrooms kinda felt sketchy too. Many of the urinals covered and taped off. Literally the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
My wife and I had a great experience here. We stopped in around 7 on a Saturday after walking the Times Square area. We ordered the bao appetizer which was delish, the rigatoni was soooo good, and the Harrison Burger and truffle fries were great too. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Misleading/confusing about whether or not it was happy hour. Lighting and other details in obvious disrepair. Servers were kind but everything else was rough. Management was too desperate to get people inside and it was sort of off putting but I understand his desperation now... Food was bland af, husbands drink was too weak and mine tasted like it was about to kill me. Making a note not to go here before/after a show again bc it is not worth the $$$.
This is a new place that opened just before COVID, then shut down for obvious reasons. We randomly found this place on a rainy evening exploring Times Square just 2 days after their soft re-opening (Oct2021). The food here was fantastic - steak sandwich was full of flavor - Korean bbq wings were the right amount of spicy and sweet and the Bao Bun appetizer was incredible, best weve had. We sat at the bar and it was very quiet inside with only a few diners on the rainy evening - the bartender was awesome! We conversed for a while after dinner until they were ready to close - he offered some great local tips for us to see the city/statue of liberty that really rounded out our night. We would certainly return!
Terrible service. Waited for 20 minutes to even be acknowledged, then finally sat down, they helped everyone else around us & getting drinks 30 min in, which we never recieved. Honestly, served every white person around us and even gave them their food even though they were sat 45 min after us. Didnt even have the decency to own up to their actions. Would never recommend. Worst service Ive ever received & seemed super pricy for what those were actually served.
I went there with my wife and parents. The service was so slow my parents had to leave without eating or they would’ve missed their show. Do not eat there if you have to be somewhere afterwards. The service also brought my wife the wrong dish and even getting the check took ten minutes

2022-01-27I had a great time at Harrison restaurant and bar. The food was outstanding and my burger was mad with so much love. And my margarita was so good, that I had to order more. My server Alexandra was so sweet and welcoming to me. She helped me with the menu and what I should order. And Hani the bartender had excellent service and my drinks came out great because of him. I love this place and want to come again with friends!!

2021-10-25Do not eat here. If you do, do not get the chicken. It looks and tastes like a hungry man frozen dinner. There’s also a lot of bugs (which may or may not die in your wine glass).Decent fries. The truffle is NOT strong if you order the truffle fries. The burger was okay for $23…The staff is friendly. Great atmosphere (except for the bugs)The bottle of wine was $35, but actually $12 online. Will never come back.

2022-03-06Wonderful drinks, atmosphere, and staff. It’s situated in a great location (I can see the theater for Chicago). I was in the city to see Six and needed a place to wait for my cousin to come meet me for dinner. So I had a couple of drinks here. I didn’t have food but it looked & smelled great. The assistant manager and the bartender were great people. I had what was basically a Malibu Bay Breeze with OJ instead of pineapple. Definitely coming back whenever I’m in the city.

2022-06-14While in Times Square we stumbled across The Harrison and decided to give it a try. It is conveniently located and didnt have many people there. Once we entered we were greater by a young lady who appeared to be in training. Once seated we noticed that the silverware was a little dirty so we asked for plastic to-go silverware. We ordered our drinks and appetizers and were looking over the menu and while doing this a man who appeared to be the owner stood next to our table the entire time making us nervous. He wasnt greeting us, but more observing us. When asked what their specialty was, he proceeded to tell us that the best chef in New York works there??? Didnt quite answer our question, so we decided to not order dinner. The crab cake was mostly filled with a hint of crab. Just wasnt good and I only ate one bite. The waitress did say looks like you were not hungry. I said, I am however I didnt enjoy the crabcake. No, Im sorry or anything. I paid the bill and left. My friends calamari was not good either.

2022-04-20Excellent spot for breakfast, despite the fact that they only recently began serving breakfast. Large portions, friendly staff, and fresh ingredients. Breakfast is a perfected science here!

2021-11-05Hani, our bartender, was perfectly amicable and professional our entire stay. Food was delicious. The major issue was 3/4 through our meal, the owner came in and began yelling at the bartender for “the lights not being bright enough” and “it looks like the restaurant is closed”. These claims were extremely unfounded as the restaurant had multiple different parties dining, as well as an additional group that came in and had to wait to be served while the bartender was being “disciplined”. Come for the bartender and food; leave due to the manager.

2021-10-24My wife and I stopped at Harrisons for a pre-theater bite. We had a hot artichoke dip with tortilla chips and a burrata cheese plate. Just perfect! We only wish we had more time for more, but well go back.

2022-04-08Our food was terrible. The avocado spring rolls had no taste. The burger was supposed to be medium it was not even cooked. The salad was soaked in dressing. We ordered sangria that was just orange juice and wine. This place was a huge let down. The manager did nothing when we complained about the food. But took the burger off.

2022-06-25We ate breakfast at The Harrison and it was delicious. They had the best cheese grits. Very hard to find grits in NYC! My husband salmon and eggs Benedict and he said it was great. I had oatmeal and fresh fruit. Would definitely go again when visiting.
