I don’t get why people are hating on those trying to bring something fun to the area. Wilson/Newfane has NOTHING to do. It’s refreshing to see something like this come to the community and give people/kids something to do. Especially since the past almost two years most of us have been trapped at home due to Covid. I went this weekend with my family and had a wonderful time. Shout out to the staff - you all did a great job. Loved the chainsaw clowns too. Don’t let sad/boring people bring you down. They expect a full out-million dollar event but need to realize they are going to a hay ride in Wilson, not horror nights in Florida where they have millions of dollars to play with. And it’s the first year this is running!!! Keep on keeping on- we will def be back soon! Thank you for doing this and bringing something new to the area.
We did a work outing here and it was so fun! Booking staff was super accommodating and event staff was fabulous! Would love to do this every year
What a great place this is !! done very well and not far from home everyone was awesome Me and my friends had such a great time we will make.it a tradition!!! The barn was cool I was scared !! the hay ride amazing and scary what a fun place ! for family and for groups of friends I highly recommend ! I like the fact that there was a story behind the hounting very very cool !!!
Went out for some Halloween-themed fun; the location for this was perfect; very spooky. Loved the haunted house and the Hay ride ! Enjoyed hanging out by the fire-pit afterwards.Well organized and definitely a fun outing; would come back again.
Beware of going on the hayride if you have sensitive hearing.I went with a group of my girl friends.The maze was scary had 1-2 actors in it the barn was scary but the hayride i have a complaint, all chainsaw guys are fantastic and they have well put together sets, but you HAVE to get rid of the constant screaming at the well, so utterly annoying and not even scary, only gave me and my friends headaches, as well as my mom had to lower her hearing aid(she’s 54 and only wanted to get scared, not damage her hearing).screaming≠scary. If you could incorporate her or someone else if she’s too unfit by the looks of it by doing something crazy maybe a jump or crawl or slash to the trailer, or maybe a contortionist i think it would add to the effect,other than that screaming girl, no complaints.
I dont review often as i did have tickets for last week as well as 4 others and we all decided that we want nothing to do with this place and tossed our tickets and took the hit on the money because the way they did handle things. But to toss in my 2 cents. It is VERY concerning how the owner that reviews these posts keeps avoiding the question on why the posts were all deleted. As someone that did see the posts as well it clearly said refunds would be given if this week was cancelled and now looking back nothing is on there from last week at all. Thats extremely concerning of a business move for a first year company. Like i said i want nothing to do with this place because from a customer service stand point it was the worst ive experienced, and really was not going to review but a friend of mine pointed it out to me and wanted to read for myself. If posts and stuff are taken down and deleted it should make people extremely skeptical on purchasing tickets beforehand or even attempting to go.
They take your money and then add days to avoid having to pay anyone back if they have to cancel. Would never attend this place. Hope next year people read these reviews and avoid this place at all costs. 11/1 - There is currently an open investigation from the better business bureau. You can call them and add your name on to it as well. I showed them all previous screenshots and how they keep altering the rules about refunds and all their policies. Future guests please do not a support a company like this. The man goal is for them to rip you off.

Save your money! The hay ride very short for the price they charge, and the speaker system so bad can’t hear a thing, did not add anymore to the story just repeated what was on line , the displays all on one side of wagon! They had 3 very small tent/canopy for food overpriced, and bags of chips! Really, The corn maze so small and not scary! Barn line was so long would only let a few in at a time we did not do at this point so we left under an hour nothing there! For 70 + per couple rip-off!!
The owners did a great job with putting this all together. The hayride was very good and the actors did an awesome job. We enjoyed the haunted barn and look forward to going back for the corn maze.
Terrible for the price! Not scary at all! Actors were standing around just talking to each other. Hay ride much shorted than advertised, and the Barn was over in there minutes! Not at all as expected Very Very disappointed ☹️ But great false advertising
Cory then answer the questions below for everyone to see:Why were the Facebook posts deleted from last week?Why did the one on Friday say refunds will be issued if they cancel this week and now when you call or email you tell everyone that was not said?If such a transparent company a few negative reviews should not be an issue. Its obvious you are hiding the truth for the customers that paid good money to attend. A 1st year company telling people the tickets will be good next year is setting yourself up for a lot of law suits if this does not get off the ground again. You should def reexamine on how you communicate with customers. Deleting old posts is as sketchy as you can get
I went to the soft opening a few days ago and it was truly an amazing and life changing experience. The way the staff treated everyone was absolutely dashing. The best part was the porta-potties... they lit up when entering! This prevents anyone from going to the bathroom on themself and potentially ruining their night. All in all The Haunted Forest is a 11/10 and I highly recommend it for a great time!!!
Nothing like buying tickets for the last possible weekend and then having them cancel due to weather which is understandable but then make more random dates to avoid having to pay anyone a refund. EDIT: Now they email and claim threats and harassment when telling the truth, They delete posts on facebook and try to bully everyone to do what they say. What a horrible way to run a business. EDIT: They are now deleting all posts they had about any refund policy and changed everything on their online site as well and claiming its been up there the whole time. BBB has been contacted and been told they have had numerous complaints already
The staff is absolutely amazing! This was a great event for the whole family. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a memorable experience. Can not wait to come back!
So I purchased tickets for this place about 3 weeks ago for 8 people mind you. Today I get an email saying they canceled all rides do to rain. How can one just cancel something that people plan? It took us time to figure out a date that we could all get together and have a few scares. This is fall weather, it rains alot, and its about getting your feet a little muddy...So now they are just going to reschedule my tickets, so I have to re plan everything, because theres no way I can get my money back. I bought the bundle which was about $37 a ticket times 8. Seems very disorganized here. If I were you Id buy your tickets the day before or the day of!!
Great time! Also to the people complaining about the price a portion of each ticket sold goes to charity, not their pockets. So if you don’t like helping charities continue to complain and be a mean person but I had a great time.
DO not give this business money they will rip you off and scam you. The hay ride is a joke and if you are unhappy Cory the owner will do nothing about it. Look at all the comments already below, he wont answer the simple questions about why he deletes posts, its because he wants no evidence if he has to change the rules on you last minute. This has been a common practice all October
They reschedule due to weather instead of canceling. Because of this, there are no refunds which is a policy they should re-examine. They choose the reschedule date and if you can’t make it, you’re out of luck… and your money.
This was a really fun experience I loved the pennywise and the clown with the chain saw! And the tour guides on the hayride were really funny will definitely come back!
Zero stars would be better for this place. No communication skills, no business sense. This will be a one and done event. Refunds will be given out if cancelled but then they change the rules and make up days that they will open to avoid paying anyone
Very immersive! Not your typical hayride! You get a theatrical experience with not just scare- but a whole storyline! This is the perfect Fall activity.
Loved this place so much! The hayride was awesome ! They had some really cool special effects in the woods and the actors were really great and scary !
I understand its there first year.but it needs alot of work.hayride is short very cheap not scary .guy talking on trip should be given another job.haunted barn is a joke.food choices horrible.but best part of the place is the food stand making Mac and buffalo chicken and tacos very cheap and very good.but the rest of the experience was horrible.i was very upset waste of money.hope they improve because I do like going to these places
So much fun definitely dont recommend taking little kids here they will probably get scared but so much fun for teens and adults but so much fun, lots of things to do the haunted house was so much fun definitely recommend it
I had an amazing time! Especially the barn guy that was in the wheelchair he followed us out & I fell down definitely worth it !! Come support them highly recommend it
Something new and refreshing added into the fall season of haunted houses. Storyline is really cool and I love how the story is presented throughout the barn and hayride!
Total rip off. Not worth 37 dollars. Was not scary at all. To be honest it was very boring and quick. The only thing I enjoyed was the food and drinks.
The soft opening on Saturday was AMAZING and there is so much thought and detail that went into creating such an event. Everybody needs The Haunted Forest in their lives this fall!
Good family FUN. The barn was my favorite and the hayride gave us a thrill.. Cant wait to see this grow in the future.

Lame I dont know if its because of employee shortage but they dont have enough people for the scare. And get rid of those two wanna be comedian guys on the ride. They make not interesting..
The haunted house had a hallway and one room, and the audio did not work well on the hay ride, this was not worth the thirty two dollars

2021-10-12I give the Haunted Forests a big 5 stars! Considering on all that is against first year business owners, COVID conditions and skeptical audiences that can bring anyone to their knees, they stuck through it all and they did it! Selling out every available seat was their dream and they are living it right now. I personally know that they are taking this first year very personally and are taking every single concern to heart ❤️ they are constantly learning and adapting to make this event one of a kind and enjoyable for all! They have an emersive storyline with theater like audio and take you through it all with live actors! Every week it gets better and better because they truly want to bring you something next level and keep you coming back for more screams and laughs 👻🎃 Have a happy Halloween and visit The Haunted Forests in Wilson NY!

2021-10-24My Family and I went today the hayride was great very detailed and actors did a wonderful job. It would of been more scarier if the Narrator on the tractor hayride didnt talk so much, he was very funny and nice but it took away from the scare. And the barn small but let me tell you those actors are amazing love them all the theme and set up was get. Keep it up Great Job!!

2021-09-13Had a good time going through the haunted corn maze. We were chased by Pennywise the Clown most of the time. They have other characters walking around in full costume this adds to the spooky atmosphere. The hayride was about 30 mins long. There are actors telling the story of what happened on the grounds as you travel through the woods. However towards the end of the ride there is a video of a man hanging himself on a projector screen. I knew people who taken their own lives and found this rather disturbing. Moving on visit the barn it was scary to walk through. You can do so as a group or if brave enough by yourself. There are 3 different attentions to attend and I recommend going after 8 pm simply because its more fun in the dark. If you have younger children best go before dusk. Tickets must be purchased online. Can be printed or allow them to scan on your phone. They also offer snacks, Zombie Punch, and merch on the grounds for sale.

2021-10-09Im giving this place a 4 star only because its their 1st year and I know how hard it is to get a business like this to get started, time, money organization. The vendors were good, ALL fair pricing. I thought for the price of the event was a tad overpriced by $10 but I understand it cost money for decor, actors etc. I hope they keep this place going. I see a ton of potential everywhere. Ive ran and made Haunted Houses for 8 years in a row and a few tweaks would make this one of the best WNY Haunt Attractions. The atmosphere is there, they just need to some direction with some things and theyll be set!

2021-10-24Not bad for a 1st year attraction. Wasnt as scary as I was hoping. For my money, I prefer a little more horror, but its nice for kids, our grandson had a blast. The hayride was good, aa few more scary additions would make it better. The corn maze was disappointing not much to be afraid of and to close to the hayride rd. The barn was the best part of the night, need more of that out in the forest. If youre looking for ultimate scary, this is probably not it. Iron out the kinks and this could be horrifying.

2021-10-24Do not waste your money or time!!! This was hyped up way to much but I give there website and advertisment credit. This is at most worth $15 per person. We knew going the reviews were mixed but thought we would give it a shot anyways. We had a group of 16 tonight going for my birthday and I felt so bad I had people drive over an hour for this. Honestly there drive out was longer than the whole visit...I will say the characters were dressed awesome and the scenes for the hayride were good but there was absolutely nothing haunted or scary about it and I am one that gets scared easily. It was also very short..... The haunted barn takes no more than 1 minute to walk thru and the corn maze was a joke. Most of the corn was to my knees....the food was OK. Some of us got the hot apple sangria which was very tasty but $6 for a tiny cup that was not even filled all the way up. Unfortunately I do not think we will be back. I hope they take all these reviews and make a lot of improvements for next year.

2021-09-25I cant say enough good things about this place! The hayride was very fun and while the maze was super muddy, we were dressed for it. Had a few hotdogs and were the most scared in the haunted barn! Definitely would agree with the age recommendation of 8 & up for the evening hayrides. The scare actors were great and took pictures with everyone.

2021-09-04We brought our two teenagers and our neighbors to the Haunted Forest for their soft opening. We had so much fun. We loved the story of the Gogans as we traveled through the forest on the high tech hayride. The actors were amazing! We loved the surprises that popped up. The haunted barn helped to explain the story as well! We can not wait to go back with more friends and family!!
