The Home Depot in other cities:
Everytime I go to the local Home Depot I walk out knowing there are actually some employees there that actually give a (blank). Im pretty self sufficient, but occasionally need help with things here and there. The last two visits, 2 different gentlemen helped me above and beyond.
Honestly, after significant tests, I’ve found that Home Depot is substantially better than Lowe’s in every facet. The buying experience is cleaner, user friendly and consistent. This particular Home Depot has friendly, helpful staff, easy to find items, good product availability and incredible plants!Seriously, go here instead of Lowe’s, you’ll thank me later.
I need less people walking around amiously asking if I need help and provide help when it comes to checkout. Literally had 4 people in10 minutes ask me of I needed help finding something and then spent 20 minutes waiting at the garden center to check out. Go f yourselves
We went to buy cabinets the other day The one woman that was there was extremely rude talking down to us like weve never done this before then we got a different person male this time he also started out very rude like we were interrupting his day his tune changed and then he was helpful except that he got the entire order wrong so we had things delivered to our house that now have to go back the manager was very helpful but I would rather go to the home Depot in Danbury next time because they were friendly and helpful and at least help solve this whole problem
As of late the Home Depot is opening up more.. more items in stock more staff.. 50% of whom are beyond helpful the other well they are there for their paycheck. Lumbar prices are up, but the selection they have is decent. Some plants are nice.. some seem Ill taken care of.
On a beautiful Sunday there was 2 cashiers at the contractor entrance, One by self check out and lines everywhere to try And purchase a few items.🤯😡 2 cashiers I believe were standing to direct traffic I dont know why they did not get on a register🤯 they told me I the line starts back there. Ridiculous Not run very properly.
I drive from out of state to come to this location because of the customer service and my experience with Chris in the past. Today I am considering going to other locations. I dont know who the store manager is but the regional director or manager needs to get involved at this location. There is not excuse for customers waiting in a line lines that goes to the end of the aisle (half way to the back of the store). 2 of the 4 self check out options were open. Although completely functional and working the manager determined it was a bad idea to use them. There was only one other check out for large options near the lumber section that had a long line as well. With a low flow of customers this shouldnt have been issue that made many customer leave their items in the aisle and walk out. This store manager needs to pay attention to whats happening on his floor, get some additional and/or retrained trained. Again, this location is great when the right managers are running the location.
I had to return some tiles I bought in the summer..I was reluctant to but I wanted to give it a try even though they were extremely heavy and didnt use most of it. Some I had to repack painstakingly because the snow and water had damaged the packaging. To my surprise a nice young lady helped me get my refund. After all I shop a lot with my Home Depot card and take advantage of their no interest promotions. Im a happy customer.
We prefer the Brewster location to others because of its size and inventory. The service providers, cashiers, etc., are all helpful and courteous and will take the time to ask if I need assistance rather than wait for me to seek help. The cutting station for lumber tends to have a short wait for assistance, and the store is kept clean.
Home depot sells dryers that will only run on propane if you get an adapter kit. Not only does the Brewster Home Depot NOT sell the adapter kits, THEY CANT EVEN ORDER ONE!! Why TF would anyone buy a dryer and then be on their own to try and find the right kit???Next stop Lowes...MINUS 5 Stars!
Youre better off going to any other Home Depot. If youre just looking for the basics: batteries, lightbulbs, etc., its fine. But if you want an HD that has any kind of customer service, the latest stuff, the best selection, and a constantly refreshed stock... go elsewhere. This place is like the land HD management has forgotten about. The HD in Danbury is better, if you can deal with the horrendous Danbury traffic situation. Also, not specific to this HD, but in general, HDs ship to store option is almost useless. I mean, it works; you can ship something to store. But it takes way longer than just having it sent to you, and trying to get someone at customer service to help you get your item, is like winning a lottery ticket. SO FRUSTRATING.
This was the first time Ive tried curbside pickup. The instructions sent to me from home Depot were clear although it took me a minute to locate the correct parking spaces. I clicked on the button on the note they sent me in my email, filled out the short form to tell them I was here, got out of my car to open up the tailgate and the fellow was already walking out with the order. Great service good execution.
Customer Service in the store was, as always, great. I was able to pick the right dryer that I needed and check out relatively easily. The drama began once i received the dryer. The dryer was delivered while i was at work and my wife checked it and confirmed there was no damage. The installer then installed it WITHOUT ATTACHING THE VENT to the back of it.I returned home from work and began laundry immediately (as this was replacing a broken unit). It wasnt until after i started running the new dryer that I found it wasnt connected to the vent! I tried for over 45 minutes to call Home Depot customer service, Home Depot delivery customer service, Home Depot Southeast Appliance Department and finally the Home Depot Southeast main customer service extension and I couldnt get ANYONE on the phone. Not a soul. The closest I got to a human was the automated message on the Delivery Department telling me that my dryer delivery was delayed (even though i had already received it).I had to call a handyman to come out and uninstall the dryer, re-attach the vent, and re-install the dryer at an extra cost to me. When i finally got someone from home depot to respond today via chat, they told me that they wouldnt reimburse me for my extra costs because I shouldve called them first. They credited me a measly $30 for the installation fee (which, by the way, wasnt noted as a line item anywhere and was included in the cost of the dryer).I am beyond upset and frustrated at the customer service experience I have received. Im just glad it wasnt a gas dryer, as it couldve killed my family.
We purchased a whirlpool bathtub online and scheduled it for white-glove delivery (meaning they would deliver it to any room of our choice). We waited 20 days for the order, which would have been on time for our bathroom remodel, IF it would have come on time. Since I had not heard anything, I contacted HD the day before my expected delivery. I texted with Sheena through their message system who told me someone from the shipping company, US PACK, would be contacting me to schedule the delivery on the expected date. The shipping company never contacted me. I called HD again the same day and this time they put me in contact with the shipping company who told me it would NOT come on the expected day, but someone would contact me to schedule the delivery. I contacted the shipping company myself the following morning and I spoke to Amanda at extension 110, who said “yeah, sorry, I never called you”. I explained that I needed the tub ASAP as my contractor would be coming in that weekend. She told me she could have it delivered for Monday and VERIFIED with me that it was going to a second floor. She told me the driver would call 30 mins prior to the delivery.. and to expect it Monday between 8 AM - 12:30 PM. It got to be Monday at 11 AM, and no one ever contacted me. I called the shipping company again and explained what was happening. She told me she was going to contact the driver, but then realized had NO number for him. All she could tell me was that it was on the truck. Well the guy finally showed up at 11:30 AM, never called, and just dumped it outside of my house. Literally dumped it.. he had no concern for what was inside or anything!! We tried to explain that we had paid for delivery to the room of our choice and he said “we can’t deliver inside due to COVID”. Why would HD say they can deliver to the room of your choice then?!! Then he said HD doesn’t pay me, my company pays me. Clearly this man was not going to deliver inside so my husband asked him if he could use his cart to move the bathtub closer to the door and he said “I don’t want to argue. Hurry up! I have other deliveries to do”. So INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I contacted customer service and explained my frustration to Courtney P. (Customer service escalation) that 1. This delivery was LATE. 2. The driver refused to deliver inside even though we had paid for such delivery. 3. How incredibly unprofessional their shipping company is and how horrible it reflects on HD. All she could say was that she was sorry about the “lack of delivery service” and that they would refund the delivery fee. Nothing about the horrendous experience or how it negatively reflected on HD. BUYERS BEWARE: HD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, YOUR PRODUCT, or YOUR EXPERIENCE with them. SHOP with the COMPETITORS.. they offer much better products and customer service! Never buying from HD again!!
We renovated 2 bathrooms with plumbing, flooring, walls, tiles, sinks, stools and jacuzzi two years ago and they are still going strong. This time around we decided to finish renovating the rest of the house from flooring, dry wall, painting etcOne stop for all your needs including tool rentals.
I dont understand that there is a line of 15 people at checkout with 1 cashier and 3 do it yourself registers. 1 cashier at lumber and a line halfway down the lumber aisle. Where did the customer service and cashiers go? There is no one in the aisle to help and you have a 20 minute at best checkout time. Yet, the price didnt come down on the products for the people now buying and checking yourself out. When I worked for HD it was everyone on deck when the were lines or needed help. I definitely will find a better place to shop. The problem is the 4 people standing at customer service with no one seeking their help. 3 others in aisle just talking.I get better service at Palmers Hardware on Rt 22 with similar prices. Maybe youll pay a bit more on somethings but they care about every person walking in.
NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONES!!! no matter what time of day, what day of the week, rental department, customer service, they never pick up! I have been trying for several days at different times to call as I am working on a big patio project and they don answer. You literally have to drive there to speak to someone.
Does anyone know anything here? Want to purchase an air purifier. Called store & transfered to garden dept. ...What? Then transferred to 3 other departments. Nobody knows what theyre doing! Shopping elsewhere. Inquired about covid protocol. Young lady in garden department shared especially on weekends customers werent wearing masks or social distancing & theres nothing they can do. Really? Yes they can! Listen stores covid still is out there so keep your shoppers & yourselves safe by enforcing rules!!
I ordered the item online and used a coupon to get the deal. When I picked the item at the store they gave the wrong item for Ryobi trimmer, its the one without the battery when I ordered one with the battery. I went back to the store the same day to return or replace it with battery included but they said they dont have the item anymore and cant give me back the coupon I used or at least the same discount as the coupon. I wont be back to the same store anymore
I truly hate going to this location. No one asks to help you and you end up wandering around looking for someone to help.I went there today to get two small pieces of glass cut. After searching their location for almost an hour, I found someone in hardware.1, he didn’t know what silicone carbide power is, or what it’s used for. I had to show him the website and then educate him on how one would grind metals and glass with it. Turns out they don’t have it in this location. So that was a waste of time. He then tried to sell me power tools to sand, which wasn’t what I needed.2, when I asked if I can get someone to cut glass for me he said they won’t cut glass and I have to do it myself and buy a power tool for it.Again I don’t want to buy a power tool for grinding or cutting glass. SIc powder is much faster and safer, by hand, so the glass doesn’t break.Again this is after I walked around for almost an hour looking for someone to help.
I advise everyone to avoid this location as much as possible. Youll never see any employee when you need help; when you finally do youre given an answer worse (AND VERY RUDE/NASTY for 0 reason at all) than a general customer would if youd of just asked them instead. This place used to be nice, the last few years not much at all. Other places around here to go, especially with much nicer customer service. Youd think they dont want customers to come inside.
Just purchased a washing machine that was “in stock” at the HD Brewster location. Delivery was within a reasonable time frame, two weeks but the company they use to deliver and set up the machine was the worst! Buyer beware! HD failed to mention that if your machine is connected to a water sensor alarm feature, the delivery people will not connect your machine. After I disconnected the sensor and offered to detach water connections the guys walked out and left refusing to hook up the new machine stating it was against company policy. Unable to communicate effectively as they spoke only Spanish, they left me without a new machine, and my broken one still in place. The number Home Depot provided for delivery questions is automated and there is No live person to speak to. After contacting the Brewster store, the appliance department was able to get me another delivery date. But that requires another day off from work!Lesson learned, buy from a reputable appliance store that have knowledgeable people to do the install.
Wow I’m short of words. The employees at this location are just awesome. This is my third time going to this location and I’m super satisfied with the customer service skills I received. Employee named ‘Asa’ is just phenomenal and wonderful. He was respectful, smart and knew exactly what he was doing. It was my fault that I only gave him just the First name for my order pick up and the system pulled up a different order with the same first name. Asa got to bottom of it even though it was my fault and got fixed quickly. The managers at this location did a great job training all the employees. They are all respectful and always smiling. Ohh and please Asa needs a raise or promotion lol. Thank you 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Didnt have what I was looking for but I must say the most helpful staff I could ask for. Even though the woman was certain the store didnt have it she still made an effort to look it up and even check a couple aisles just in case. Cant ask for much better than that, nice to see big chains with employees who treat you as if it was their own mom and pop shop.
Absolute worst customer service. Ive been here a few times, and witnessed the rude, flippant staff talk down to customers. Today was icing. I went to the store, picked up my purchase, waited at the line for the register as some power abusing middleaged woman shouts ,LITERALLY shouts at customers who can self check and which register to ho to next. As I stand there swearing in my mask 80% of their employees with masks exposing their noses... ignoring the beast, i walk to the register with the cashier washing me on. I pay and leave...i get to my destination to find items were taken from the box and the box revealed. I return and request a manager, the greeter absolute responds he doesnt have one in his pocket. Needless to say I had to cause a huge scene, demand THEY call the cops... when they did a with resolve so I would leave. This store is the absolute worst. If I could take away stars I would. Zero customer service.
I like this store. Its Home Depot so, yes it is still hard to get help, but this store has a lot more product options than most. This is definitely bigger. I go here (out of my way) when I can. Literally the biggest Home Depot Ive ever seen compared against Long Island/NYC area/Connecticut. Best rating I can give for Home Depot, because they still lack a bit in the customer service area throughout all the store 4 stars.
Extremely frustrating experience! I’ve shopped this store for 4 years without issue. With all other options on machine rental Depot was the only realistic solution, I was on a timeline so I needed to rent a machine ASAP to complete a soil moving job with my contractor and his workers. Renting and paying weren’t a problem that went smoothly.1. The trailer turning lights did not work and they gave me the option. With the time restraint I let that slide and was only going about a mile. (That’s on me)2. The associate said it had a 3/4 tank of diesel l! Guess what after 30 minutes, it runs dry, ( gas gauge is broken! If you know machines not the best thing. Especially on an old diesel machine. Yeah real fun to get it started again.3. Countless calls to the company that maintains them and the only solution is we will come pick it up. Really! So now I’m out $1000 between labor, material, and my time. Luckily I was able to get a small discount which still cost me $180 for the rental. Yep still had to pay. All I get told is better luck next time. 😡😡😡😡I understand things break and Things happen. What happened to people or companies doing the right thing. Guess those days are long gone. Really unimpressed with the customer care given due to the situation. I know for a fact if I ran my mom and pop business that way I would be on a bread line.
Its a big store. Got a lot of stuff. But it seems that every time I go to there electrical department they never have what I need. And good luck trying to find someone to help you out. Forget it! And if by any luck you do its Sorry! Not my department I have better luck at the local hardware stores.
Purchased a shed from Home Depot. Sub-contractor Home Depot uses to install the shed arrived missing parts. Promised to come back and finish the shed, but never came back. Contacted Home Depot, and they promised multiple times to come back and finish the shed. Still no contact from anyone. Recontacted Home Depot managers and the shed installation company multiple times. All acknowledge the shed is not finished, apologize, and tell me they will be back to finish the shed and promised to contact me the next day. Still no calls back, and I have continued to leave messages.Everyone agrees that the shed should be finished. Home Depot and the installation company all point the finger at each other. No one takes action to complete the shed.Ready to spend my own $$ to bring a contractor in and finish the job I already paid Home Depot to do.Dont by a shed from Home Depot. They have no problem screwing over the customer and take no responsibility for the shed they sold.
Have shopped this store for years, in fact bought my kitchen appliances here a few years ago. Went there to replace my dishwasher and while looking at the options, the associate started yelling at and telling off my son for opening some of the washers. The kid was with me, helping me out, doing nothing wrong. She was not nice or polite about it. I decided to spend my money elsewhere.
This Home Depot location has never let me down in the past 13 years that we lived in the area.On my most recent visit, Vicki (one of the managers) went out of her way to locate a tool at a good price because it was on clearance.Bonnie, who also helped me, was pleasant and funny.Employees like these, make coming to this Home Depot a pleasure.
Very disorganized store. Many products that are shown to be in stock are actually out of stock. The most common size of hardware, plumbing, etc (you name it) is almost always depleted. Frustrating. Some aisles are loaded with online orders that were pulled but not picked up, making navigating the store or selecting larger items very difficult.
I am writing this in reference to an order we did not receive from the Southeast-Brewster location. On December 14th we ordered custom cabinets for our new kitchen for our house we bought and gutted. We were told that because the cabinets were being custom made, the store was getting a new manufacturer and with the holidays, it would take about 3-4 weeks for delivery. On Monday 1/6/2020 we were told by out sales rep that the order was shipped and would be in by last Wednesday 1/8/2020. We had our contractor scheduled to install at our house for Saturday 1/11/2020.While calling on 1/8, we were told the order was not in and to call back later in the week. We called again on Friday 1/10/2020 and we were told that half of our cabinets were delivered and to call back again on Monday 1/13/2020. While calling back on Monday, we were told that they lost half of the cabinets and will look into it and for us to call back again in a few days. After calling today and just getting off the phone with Mark who is the Kitchen Expeditor, he told us that they lost the cabinets and have no idea where they are so they have to put in another order and will be here in a minimal 7-10 business days....Once, this next order went through, we were told by Mark again, that the cabinets would be shipped out on 1/30/2020. Of course on that day, we heard nothing, so on 1/31/2020 we call and finally get in contact with Mark, and he tells us the good news that the cabinets would be shipped out of February 5th. When we ask him what happened to the 30th, his response is who told you that? Our response...YOU, YOU TOLD US THAT.His response was a few stutters, seeing that he was caught in his own lie.I think my fiancé and I are even more frustrated because together we have spent well upwards of $10,000 in this store and we feel that there was lack there of any care to our order, and we are unsure how half of an order of cabinets gets lost along the way and no one seems to know where they could have gone!I have also been emailing and calling the main home depot number, and the one person who answered me, now has not answered my 5 other emails this week. So maybe eventually well be able to get a kitchen, and not have to spend money eating out or living out of our cooler.
We met the most helpful employee, Frank, this visit. He helped with some very useful snowblower knowledge, loaded and and salt for us and then helped us load the car. My experience with this store continues to be much better than the Danbury or Mohegan stores due to the staff. Well be back!
Parked car outside garden. Center cause i wanted to buy 6 bags garden soil. But wanted a white alum a elbow.Walked up the hardware isles trying to find a 36 inch sliding track for. 5/8 plywood. No luck .Asked a worker but he didnt know. HE CALLED another but no one answered his call.So I said dont bother. So I walked back to garden center to get my soil. LOOKED FOR SKID of soil but all soil gone. Tryed to pay for my elbow but cashier could not find product on computer. Meanwhile the other lady was. Pulling down the overhead door to close garden center. I COULD not exit. Had to walk back inside to exit store to get back to car. Sometimes home depot is good. sometimes they waste your time,
New manager Rich C. didn’t honor bulk pricing on flooring. When I found material cheaper at another local Home Depot 20 minutes away he said material could be returned there but when I went there I was told I had to return it back in Brewster. Had to make another trip to Brewster to return material just to buy it at bulk price in Dutchess County. At least the other store manager knew the right pricing and made things right.
I used to luv this place but recently had multiple poor experiences. today i asked 3 people where to find a truck ramp that I saw in stock online not 1 person knew they kept suggesting different areas of the store. finally the customer service person pointed me in the right general direction but then I waited for 45min. for someone to help get a truck ramp off a loft in the garden center. I had to go to customer service twice to remind somone I was still waiting for help . I went there for 1 item . took me from 3 oclock to 4 . for a frigan ramp. Ive now learned it is much better to stick with page lumber and tractor supply. I suggest all do the same and save yourself time and stress. Customer service should always be first priority. I
Good luck finding anyone to help you at this store. The likelihood that anyone will be in the department you need is slim to none.If you do find someone in a particular department, the odds that they can accurately give you answers about using any of the products are very hit or miss. In flooring, Ive been helped by people who gave me answers that completely contradict the instructions that come with the product, and others who have told me to install things in a way that would invalidate the warranty. The only good point I can think of for this store is that its close by. Also, while the employees are sometimes clueless about the merchandise, they are usually very polite. To be honest, getting rude but accurate answers might actually work out better when I need to fix or build something.
Went to Home Depot to purchase a Christmas tree. I found one and asked Bill to help. He told me I had to bring it up. He was chatting away with what appeared to be a friend – way to busy to help. I struggled to get it there. He had me wait a fair amount of time until his friend left – then he wrapped and cut the tree. He then told me to bring it to the cash register myself. I asked for help and he said there were people outside to help (there was no one around). The cashier then asked him to help me and he responded in a condescending tone, badmouthing the poor woman.I asked to see the manager, indicated I was not getting any help – needed as I have a heart condition – and both the female store manager and Bill smirked. She said thank you for bringing it to my attention – they laughed and began to walk away – one saying I should have a heart attack. My suggestion – try another Home Depot – or better yet, a local retailer.
I waited almost an hour to get two measly pieces of wood cut. The person in front of me got over 24 pieces cut in a variety of sizes. I know how many because I sat there for an hour with nothing better to do. Employees clearly have no sense of priority. They could have had me on my way in under 5 min and then continued cutting the other gentlemens project. This isnt the first time Ive had to wait for an outrageous chunk of time due to employees who clearly have no idea what customer service is.Dont go here is you need help with anything! Otherwise its just your standard Home Depot.
Evening crew kinda sucks they really dont care how long you have to wait for assistance. I was trying to get 1 gallon of paint mixed the lady was in the middle of mixing an order of 12 different colors when I said I only need one she couldnt be bothered getting some to help or stop and help me and the person who ordered it wasnt even there waiting for it.
My husband scheduled a diy class on how to install a toilet two weeks ago. He postponed attempting it on his own. He went to Home Depot Saturday morning the day of the class and was told that the person who was to give the class called in sick at the last minute. What a disappointment!! My husband wound up going on UTube and put it up on his own. Thanks for nothing Home Depot!!
Always a disappointing experience going to this dump. Whenever possible I always try to avoid it. But the last time was the final straw. A ton of registers and as always only 2 open. On one line for 25 mins, not moving so I moved to another line. 15 minutes waiting on the second line while a CUSTOMER presses various icons on the register screen trying to help the cashier. She was having some sort of difficulty managing the transaction. I guess proper training is not a priority at this location. Finally I just put the item back and left. Drove 10 mins away to Palmers Brothers Hardware, where I was in and out in 3 minutes with my purchase.
If you want to make a purchase over $50 from Home Depot by credit card you better make sure that you have a plenty of time to stay by cashier. Not only you have to show your photo ID, they also take your credit card from you to call your credit card company to verify that you have enough money. Which means your credit card number, expiration date, security code will be exposing. This is pure violation of people confidentiality and security.Home Depot people stated that is the company new rules and I if want my purchase, I have to stay and wait while they trying to reach my credit card company punching on the phone my credit card number and other info. Was quite embarrassing experience.
I purchased a deluxe grill set only to discover - after assembling the thing at home - it was the the non-deluxe model. I contacted the manager, Gary, and let him know I was sold and charged for the deluxe grill but the store loaded the lesser model into my car. Gary said hed have an assembled and correct model delivered to my home in less than 60 minutes - which he did. I was blown away since this type of customer service isnt even seen in small local stores these days.
HOME DEPOT is a real GO TO STORE. In this geographic area, its a must have. Products, isles, demos all set up wonderfully. Ive found staff to be most helpful. They always point me in the right direction, provide EXCELLENT product knowlodge, and/or suggest options for the project l may be working on.Theyve been an invaluable resource for me personally, and Im certain for everyone looking to take on their own projects. MORE DOING, MORE FUN. THATS, THE HOME DEPOT.
I look for my needs / research online & check the store map for location of items, as u cant find anyone to help when u get to the store or have a question= or if u do find someone, your told its NOT there isle (thats the famous line). Most times they have what I need... that helps...
Went in today because I am a newbie DIY-er and I am refinishing my cabinets myself. Have been looking for the right hinges forever...Finally went here today, and was helped by Alyssa, who was very helpful and took me to find Mike (did not just tell me oh yeah go find Mike...no, she walked me around until we found him) who is the expert on hinges. He then took me over and helped me find exactly what I needed, and then was so patient to explain to me some details about installing them.Thank you Alyssa and MIke:)
Saw an ad on TV that announces one can order items via the phone & a HD employer will collect these items & have them ready to be paid for at the door. ALSO, it was announced that these items can be ordered via the phone & delivered for FREE.I called my local HD, Brewster, NY....the girl said, NO free delivery.FALSE ADVERTISING..!!! Im reporting your a$$es...!!!!

2022-05-05I went to the Brewster home depot to price out cellular shades. Anna helped me out tremendously. She helped with selecting the right shades for each room, ordering a custom shade for a specific window. The shades were a piece of cake to install. 3 weeks later as I was walking through the store, she recognized me and asked how my shades worked out. I was back yesterday ordering more shades for more rooms. Shari helped me out this time. Just as well informed and just as nice. A real shopping pleasure.

2022-06-15My cart suddenly stop when I was exiting after purchasing my items. I looked back and an associate said to try again and I was able to move the cart. I saw him with his hands on his ear, he had an ear piece on. They lock you’re cart if they think you’re stealing. There’s a cashier at self checkout who checks you out. So at what moment did I steal?

2022-04-28There is a woman in the Brewster Home Depot who helped my daughter and I tremendously Her name is Krystie. On this day I had to go back two times to pick up mulch. The man that used the forklift to pick up the mulch in the morning when we were there was a grumpy man, and Im sorry he was not friendly at all. He almost made you feel like it was an imposition for him having to help forklift the mulch which was 15 bags at that time. This woman, Krystie overcompensated for his not so nice demeanor. She helped out, jumped on my daughters truck, to help load the mulch and did mostly everything . When I went back a second time, she and another woman, Angie both helped tremendously in loading 25 more bags of mulch into the truck. Just the two of them, and I could assist very little because Im mending a broken ankle. These two women were such a tremendous help. What a great disposition, how friendly, how kind and willing to help. Krystie was so friendly both times that I had encountered her on this Saturday. I give her an A+ for customer service and for her strength and willingness to help us both times. I told her I was going to write a review for both her and Angie. Two very special women at Home Depot in Brewster! Thank you. Colleen Rodriguez

2022-01-25This Home Depot is consistently great!Parking: Convenient and plentifulCleanliness: always clean and well keptStock: Rarely an empty shelfStaff: Always helpful and Courteous more so than other Home Depots. Not just shelf stockers, any time I have asked for assistance they are very knowledgable or find somone who is to help.Checkout: Fast and Efficient, especially the self-checkout with an attendant on within sight they are ready to assist with a problem. The scanners are great for not having to move heavy objects from a cart.As far as Home Depot’s go this one is gets high marks in all regards.

2022-02-24I feel like as a guy that wants to fix or do things in and out of the house, unless Home Depot was literally in flames or there were murderers standing outside the doors at all times, I kindof have no choice but to rate the place 5 stars. Its just what you expect from a Home Depot, I dont think Ive ever been to one which seemed significantly better or worse than any other.

2022-01-08So today 1/7/21 around 5:15PM I stopped by to purchase some faux wood curtains that I needed cut to a specific measurements. I asked a associate for assistance and she said she would get someone to cut them for me. When she did get someone to assist to cut my curtain for me the lady she brought over was off the back in a hurry to leave for the day and started rushing me and said rudely to “HURRY UP” and asked for me the customer to take out the curtains out the box for her so that she can cut them for me. She only cut 1 curtain for me out of the 3 I was going to purchase. Then she decided to train the first associate who had assisted me in finding her in 1 minute! Then she had her cut the second curtain for me and in the middle of teaching her she said to her associate that she had to go because she had a date to attend to and walked away from us and the first associate who she was in the middle of training! I have worked in the retail business for over 10 years and this is unprofessional and unacceptable behavior and due to this I will no longer be shopping at this location anymore. Management should address this issue with her for the lack of customer service and lack of teamwork skills especially as a paying customer regardless of having a date or not as she had mentioned.

2022-06-11I was only in the garden center. The Brewster store has a lot more plants than the Cortland Manor store. I was disappointed with the selection and condition of the hanging plants.

2022-03-19We had a great experience. Department supervisor David morabito went out of his way to take care of cutting some wood for us. 👍
