The Home Depot in other cities:
Worst Customer Service! I rented some equipments to build a patio and spent over a thousand at this location. I was told that I would receive a discount by the rental employee on the equipments but I was charged full price. When I made a complaint, I was told the employee was new and he misinformed. I spoke with numerous people including the assistant manager who promised me to refund partially on a gift card. It’s been over a month and I have not seen any gift cards. Every time I call, they always tell me someone will give me a call back but never does. It’s not even about the money at this point. There’s no professionalism or accountability. Their misinformation negatively impacted my financial situation and they’re too busy to communicate and resolve the issue. Save your time and energy and go somewhere else if you actually want some good customer service.
Remodeled my whole house with home depot. Unfortunately they have horrible customer service and theyre installer for counter tops (shelfab) is the worse. I bought a brand new counter top and had them out 4 times to fix it. Needless to say it ended up warping and yes only 6 months and they say its my fault and refused to fix it. I spend a mini fortune for nothing at all because it looks horrible. So my hard earned money went to nothing.. thanks so much
Home Depot may have some of the highest prices around but Home Depot offer a quality product as long as you know what you are looking for and do not require any help shoppers can spend a great portion of their time waiting for a sales representative for instance if you need help in plumbing several sales representative will walk by you claiming it is not their Department when I ask for assistance loading my products into my vehicle I was told to wait outside and someone will meet me in the parking lot..............If you appreciate my review please like and share with others
Its Home Depot. Its fine. Available garden flowers are pedestrian but most people like them. Lowes has more unique specimens along with the pedestrian. Fast checkout at the garden center, though. A hardware item inside was available on the website but it wasnt clear at first that the item was not in stock in the store but needed to be ordered. The site should specify order to pickup only. Staff was friendly. Self checkout quick, too. No attitude from employees towards unmasked, vaccinated customers - a few stores are having issues with that but I figure everyone everywhere will get used to it.
Asked an employee on the way in about the location of an item and he told me precisely where to find it, making my quick trip to HD actually a quick trip! Very grateful, never would have checked that isle, since its mainly for electric tools, even thought maybe employee made a mistake, but no, product was right where he said it was! Polite, helpful, nice staff at that HD!
Home Depot is my Christmas tree store. I love Home Depot I love tools I love remodeling I love construction its simple it gives me Im feeling of satisfaction. This Home Depot particularly does not have the best customer service. Its very hard to find somebody to help you and when you do finally find someone who works there most of the time they dont you know what you need or where it is. There is exceptions to this some of the people there are very knowledgeable and very helpful but I found that the majority isnt. Other than that I always loved Home Depot.
This big old place hello world the Home Depot is my favorite place to fix house projects and I do my thing. As a woman when I try to be a handy woman the Home Depot team give me all the knowledge I need to fix the door put in the window sand the floor and more. They need more workers but management need to hire more people and maybe even think about a pay raise cuz the work they doing there is a lot a lot a lot a lot and a lot of them still smile at the end of the day. Have a beautiful and blessed day ❤️
No one knew what I needed to repair my driveway. Just needed some cold patch, sealer and black top crack filler. I asked a contractor who was there and he took the time to show me where it was. Employees sent me everywhere from flooring to paint. Great customers poorly trained employees.
Usually homedepot have good customer service. However this place is not one of those place. Even the manager didnt help to return an item and told me to leave from the store! I had recept and I am a homedepot credit card holder. Then I cant believe how this place serve other reguler customers?!
Wanted mulch from the garden center. Went there first. One cashier on duty and a line of 7+ unhappy people. On our way into the store, saw a manager who helpfully detailed what we needed to do to purchase from an in-store register. At the front register, things were not very smooth.
It was an good experience, me and my dad got the things he needed and I got what I needed , nothing practicality special but an enjoyable enough experience to convince me to come back again.Overall rating = 9/10If you need tools or wood or whatever for housing, building, crafting Id recommend this place.
Only issue I had was that they overcharged me. I bought a magic chef microwave 1000 watts 1.6 cu ft. Oven. It was carted and placed into the trunk of the car. Very reasonable price under $100. Sales person Michelle was very helpful with the purchase and stated that she owns one. Everyone in the store were not only helpful but moreover very welcoming and full of holiday greeting. Long story short it was my fault for not catching it earlier. I came home and noticed the error took a picture of the box that the appliance came and returned to the Depot. I spoke to another Michelle and was assured that there would be no problem. They went to the shelf where the oven was and confirmed the price. Computer didnt have the correct price either. She adjusted the charge on my card. I didnt have an issue with them checking the price on the shelf because it showed attention to detail on her part.
Just moved to Buffalo from City. Went to Home Depot to buy some stuffs & return an Air Conditioner which doesnt fit in my window. Surprisingly, including manager, they refused to accept return & asked me & my family to leave immediately!! I had to go Home Depot, Tonawanda to return & had no issue. Such a bad customer service which I never seen in my life. Shame on them
Although I have reviewed this place before, this is an update...and not for the better. I really hate to have to go here, but at times find it necessary for certain items or quantities that I cannot get elsewhere. The staff, for the most part, need to be retrained---reminded that their job is customer service, and that comes with specific duties and a helpful courteous attitude! Would also be nice to be knowledgeable about the merchandise/products in their departments as well. The customer service desk--now youd expect them to be at their best right? They are a 0 in my book-unbelievable.Theres so much wrong, that I could go on way to long--I wish they would get their act together.
A wonderful, and helpful staff, that can help you find the strangest of items in a time of need. I needed to replace a vacuum line on my car, and was helped to find something that worked. Highly recommend this location for the helpful staff, and the adherence to safety guidelines, making customers wear masks, and keeping us socially distanced.
Do not buy online because they do not fulfill their orders as they say they will and they refuse to answer their phone. I have other neighbors that experienced the same poor service and we have no idea if were getting our product or not or if we should order elsewhere and risk getting the delivery from Home Depot in the future. A truly horrible way to treat customers during these difficult times! If you cannot fulfill your promise get out of the online side of business.
Everything that you need from nails and keys to remodeling and roofing. Its definitely a one-stop-shop. Theres plenty of room to walk around with a full cart of lumber. Staff have always been friendly if not too busy. This store is definitely a well-visited store as it is conveniently located between north Buffalo and Kenmore.
I bought an above range microwave from home Depot online. Just tried returning it unopened at their physical store on Elmwood (as I have done with another product in the past). They found the order in their system but Would not accept the return or even offer store credit. Store manager was not helpful at all. Blamed me for not bringing it back within 48 hours (despite their delay to deliver it on time in the first place) and effectively told me that I had to eat the money I spent with them. The other home Depot stores are much more helpful. Avoid Elmwood home Depot.
Home Depot strives to be your everything store and there are many high points however they need to fix their computer systems. Coming to a store that says they have three of something when they have none of that is really annoying and makes me want to shop someplace else. Theres no service recovery. Leadership starts from the top down managers should teach their employees that when the computer says they have three and theres none its not the employees fault but it is their job to do service recovery. There is no doubt that Home Depot is going downhill
Very nice Home Depot. If you know what youre gonna get, its much easier! Always hard finding someone to help. Its been like that for years now! Price are very fair,if not cheaper than any hardware store. Im happy going here with no issues. Please like my photos and reviews. Youll help me to get my rewards up!Thank you so much!
I love the staff who helped us. They were knowledgeable and honest. We went to get a washer. The guy helping us gave us the pros and cons of the different washers and helped us pick the best one within our price range. I researched everything he said before making a decision and he was truthful. I wish I remembered his name to give him praise for his help and great job
I like homedepot but the people when leaving the store harasses you like you are stealing. They are not security they are store acssociates. There are no way to bag items thats extremely large. So once I purchases and standed in the long lines and paid, I should not be harassed. I was after purchasing a large stand up freezer that was on hold at the counter. I really gave me a bad experience and I felt like I dont want to shop at that home depot again to say the least.
While checking out in the garden center, an associate closed and locked the garden center door at 7:42, as I was in the process of checking out. I feel that they could have waited and let me out instead of making me walk all the way through the store to exit at the far end of the store. The point of the garden center checkout is to exit through the garden center.
Absolutely the worst costumer service out of any home Depot Ive ever been in. Workers have a terrible attitude. Had to ask 4 different people for help. Was then told we dont have any more without checking the handheld computer. I could physically see the item I wanted way up high. So this person, the 4th one I asked since the Rest pointed to someone else, did not want to do their job. Either did any other employee. Will not purchase here again
I went to the Home Depot on Elmwood in New York this week and was very frustrated because I could not get anyone to help me. I asked a cashier to call over a manager. The cashier was very nice and helpful and the manager was very accommodating. Always love it when a bad customer service experience is turned around.
The online ordering system is terrible. They tell me my order is ready and then when I get to the store, they only have part of my order filled. This has happened multiple times. This week, I ordered an online item that says there are two in the store and my order is not filled several days later. so Im just going to drive over there and pick it myself off the shelf. During the last year, weve done lots of home renovations, and weve done a lot of shopping at this home Depot store. The staff has been overwhelmingly not helpful, the manager lady who we had to deal with was remarkably cranky, and weve just had problem after problem after problem. One time, I went to pick up a door and after I got it home realized that the sticker had the wrong size of the door on the box. In other words, the door inside was a different size than what the sticker said. So, I took it back to the store, and told the employee that there was a problem. In fact, I brought my measuring tape and measured all of the other doors that they had on display there and I told the man that they were all mislabeled. He said, I know, those labels are wrong. Ill help you get another door. I was stunned that he knew about the problem and they just left them on the shelf that way. Another time, we ordered lighting fixtures online for in-store pickup. They told us the order was ready. When I showed up to get the order, they said that three of our lighting fixtures were not available. I showed the woman that their website says there are multiple in store. She said that their inventory system is often not accurate. They sent a worker to go back and check for me. When the worker never returned back, in frustration, I just walked back to the lighting area and picked up the three lights that I needed right off the shelf and walked back to the front desk. The woman was very surprised. Another time, my girlfriend ordered a hard to find item from this particular home Depot store and she checked the box to have it delivered to her house in williamsville. There was an extra fee for this delivery but she was okay with that. Her order never arrived. When she called the store to ask what happened, the manager lady told her that this particular store uses a private delivery guy who decided that she lived too far and he didnt want to drive out there. So nobody ever contacted her, the order just never got delivered. And that was that. When my girlfriend called corporate to complain, corporate told her that each home Depot store is independently owned and run and that they could not do anything to help her. She had to complain to the store directly, which she had already done to no avail. I could go on and on and on about my frustrations. I chose to give them two stars because at the very least, you can walk in the store grab things off the shelf and check out with them. So its good for that. But you never know what theyre going to have. The staff is not at all helpful, and in fact, if I can be so bold, I think they can actually make things worse sometimes. I asked a guy in plumbing to help me get the fitting that I needed to do a job and he gave me a bunch of parts that seemed strange to me but I figured he knew what he was doing. I got home only to find out that he gave me the wrong size parts. I should have trusted my gut. And its even the simple things, like when I was pushing a giant load down an aisle, the home Depot staff woman made eye contact with me and then just stood there blocking the entire aisle. I asked her to move so that I wouldnt hit her, and she told me that I could fit. She could have very easily just stepped forward one foot. She had a ton of room. But she just stood there blocking me in the aisle. I asked her again to please move and I was afraid I would hit her with the cart. Again she told me that I could fit behind her. She wasnt doing anything at the time. She was just looking at an item and typing a code into her little computer thing. This is just been my experience time and time and time again.
I like Home Depot, they have pretty much everything. You can go in and wander around looking at stuff for hours, if you are so inclined. Quick visits are possible as well. This time was a quick one for me. I found what I was looking for and was our the door in no time.☺
I shopped in the garden area where carts were not available any other home depot has flat bed carts available directly in the garden section but not at this one. On the positive note on my exit to my car an associate did assist me with my purchase loading it in my car.
If I could give it to zero Stars I would. I drive 15 minutes usually to go to Lowes but because its 1 minute for my house I went there. I asked two people for help and didnt help me. I went up to a cashier asking for them to page someone which they did but no one came after 5 minutes of waiting. I went up to customer service I told him what happened. They did not offer an apology or help on what I needed so I gave him the merchandise and said to them this is why I go to Lowes. I will never be going back to Home Depot.
Clerk said complete credit application if approved you get $25. I denied as I thought I wouldnt be approved. Paid my $110, which Ive made the last 3 months. Anyways the clerk was wrong just completing application youll receive $25. I guess I lost out or one if the clerks were wrong
Rental shop employee was rude and complained sanding pads were not returned with the machine. I paid for the new pads when I rented the machine 2 days ago (the machine was without when I rented it) so obviously there were none on it to start with. Yet I had to buy another new set so they could have them on it during storage so they dont get damaged. Yet, the same employee was having a bad day and throwing other machines around, but clearly the no pads is why things get damaged?!
I drove 20mins to this location for an item that shows they have it in stock. I get there and they told me not to trust the website. The service desk workers did not even want to help me and gave me an attitude. They are very rude like they are forced to work. Never will go back..
I have been a Lowes fan my whole life and I stopped by this Home Depot because it was on the way and I needed something quick but I ended up finding everything I needed to build my PVC pipe garden irrigation system for like $35. Everyone was really helpful and helping me understand what I needed and finding the right adhesives and tools. I also visited the home and garden center while I was there and ended up buying a couple of house plants. This was just overall a really great experience, they have good prices and excellent selection and I felt like their customer service was much better than Im used to when visiting a major home improvement store.
“Assistant Manager” Josh is an embarrassment to this store. I’ve gone in on Sundays before when he has been extremely ungracious and down right rude. I let the first time go since it was a few weeks ago during the re-start of the COVID dilemma but today was ridiculous.First, there was no one taking care of curbside pickup and I couldn’t use the link to notify I was there for my order since there is no WiFi in the parking lot it store. When I went through five other employees I finally was resent to customer service. I stood by myself waiting to be recognized for seven minutes. No one else was in line by that time. Then a gentleman got behind me and that’s when Josh looked up - then did the brush off hand signal as he answered a call. While I waited at the counter he was in a phone call with someone and said “I can’t help it we don’t have enough staffing so if they don’t answer the phones I don’t know what to tell you.”Then when he was finally taking care of me he said that nobody wants to work during Covid.Well, I believe that there is a responsibility of management to balance sales and crowd and deliveries and items like with what they expect the staff to be.On top of it he allowed his mask to slip below his nose and when I extended my ID to him he took hold of my wallet without gloves. As I turned to go back to the curbside pickup area he told me I was lucky since it was the last day they’ll be assisting with any orders from lumber and stone. So, yes, I am writing a very strong letter to the manager over at that store because this is not the first time Josh has shown himself to be incapable of being an assistant manager and providing proper customer serviceIn a subsequent conversation with a colleague she stated she hated to deal with Josh since he gets that “undressing” her look.He should not represent this store or any other in a management capacity but rather be retrained in both customer service and COVID-19 protocol.
I was there today, and surprisingly half of the staff members have their mask on their chin, and most of the only cover their mouth and not their nose. It is not fair for the customers where we have to comply with our mask and social distancing and yet the staff members don’t do it. Please be responsible with this time of days.
Service in the gardening department sucked. Waited 30 minutes for service and no one showed. The 1 person back there a cashier called 4 times for assistance. Finally went up front & asked for manager. Manager informed us that there were 6 people working in the department. Informed we NEVER saw any of them except 4 cashier.
My family went for the Children Workshop today. One of the ladies was not friendly. I couldnt read her name tag. It has too much stuff all over it.When I asked for an apron for my son - there were no more. When I asked for sandpaper - there was none.I witnessed her packing bags for other Children to take home another craft, stickers and their pins. She was packing then as she saw then almost finishing up their projects. At one point, there was a man who wanted drywall she told him he would have to wait because of kids activities & they will be done in the next 10 minutes. The man said he only needed one drywall sheet. He proceeded to move the drywall with another worker. As he walked away she called him a jerk. She did this within earshot of the children. As we were finishing our project, I noticed them packing I asked my children to go get their pins and packages. One lady acted like she didnt know what I was talking about. The other lady said that items were packed too deep. But I had just witnessed her putting a package together for herself just 3 minutes beforehand. My children only were able to get pins. Her bias showed and its shameful.I had other items to pick up today but as I went to go wash my hands in the bathroom I decided against shopping. Ill take my money elsewhere.
Pro desk, 5 stars, best pro desk in western new york great service, very knowledgeable and very customer friendly.Staff on floor, 5 stars, they know where everything is and what you trying to find.Staff at registers 3 stars, dont even know how to take a security device off, pushes you aside to get the next customer, give incorrect change.Delivery 1 star, we dont pay for excuses thats all Im going to say here about your delivery service.
Horrible system for pick up right now! ONE item I have to pick up and can not get because they are not answering their phones, the line is CRAZY long every day to get into the store! 2 weeks now Ive been driving to the store to pick up my online order and no one answers ! Ive emailed corporate, no responce. I called customer care yesterday, very nice woman. But she tried calling for me and same thing, no answer! She even said this is uncalled for at this poin . All she could do was email the manager at this location to get back to me. NEVER in my life have I experienced anything like this! DO NOT GO TO OR ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION!
Ryobi tools made our camping experience way better then others. Skill and reciprocating saw made light work of getting fire wood. Others paid for wood outside the park. Alleghany that is. Dont be cheap, buy the right tools for the job and have camping fun. We were.they envy of the so called camp fire elite. Amateurs I say.
Went for plumbing supplies to re-route bath fixtures. Have basic knowledge and experience but still quite an amateur. The gentleman in the plumbing section (mustache and glasses) was incredibly helpful and quite more knowledgeable than your average staffer. Told him what I was doing, showed some simple photos and he gave good feedback and advice; even helped me pick out the parts Id need. Thanks.
Love Home Depot! This day I was picking up a Wagner paint sprayer- Id looked it up online and found out it was in stock, cheaper than eBay or Amazon, and HDs online info gave me the exact aisle and bin where it was located instore. Quick in and out to start my project!
Ordered a new appliance on 5/27/16 because delivery and installation can be arranged for 6/4/16. The company Home Depot contracts to do deliveries, Reliable Appliance, arrives but then say they cannot bring theappliance into the house because it is damaged. Several days pass and NO ONE contacts me. Finally, I call myself, and am told by Ken at Reliable Appliance that they think my new appliance will be in the warehouse by 6/10 but they will call to confirm delivery. I let them know right then that I will be out of town for the next week. On 6/11, I am 3 states away, and I receive a call from my son telling me they just arrived (no notice whatsoever) with the appliance, but AGAIN refused to deliver because they said gas line was not long enough (this is absolutely false). I immediately call and ask them to just drop off the appliance, never mind the installation. Nope, cant do that, they are out of the area (mind you this is 5 minutes after they have left my house). I say I am frustrated and am thinking about cancelling my order. Super helpful delivery contractor offers to mark my order, delivery refused. Um... no, I never refused delivery, in spite of your inept service. I call Home Depot to cancel my order and am told my money should be refunded to my card within 48-72 hours. Its a Saturday, so I give it until Wednesday. No refund. I call again, they start the refund process over, asking repeatedly, are you sure no appliance was delivered to you home? Well, Ive been going to the laundromat for 3 weeks, so yes, Im 100% sure! I need my money back so I can order an appliance from a competent company. So far, I am being told it may be refunded by 6/20. Oddly, I remain skeptical, as not one thing has happened as promised with this order. At this point, my order is still marked as being processed although no one has attempted to further this processing along in any way. UPDATE: 6/20 - no refund or email. I call and speak with yet another customer service rep, who asks questions that had not previously been asked, and immediately sent email receipts for full refund. I will be ordering this and future large appliances from elsewhere.
Disorganized Chaos. Had a pickup order, only had 50% of it actually in the store, even though they claimed they had 20 more of the item available but couldnt find them. So their inventory seems whacked.Customer Service counter is overflowing with debris, garbage and returns.Who knows when Ill actually see the refund back to my card.Had extra shopping to do, but the cashier was out of singles so I ended up with a handful of quarters.Overall they need a lot of help in the front end of the store and with inventory.Maybe Lowes is better managed. I guess Ill find out next time.
Home Depot....SHAME ON YOU!!! I’m an educator in Rochester, NY and on 2/1/19 one of my former HS students (who now attend Buff State) posted on her social media page how extremely cold her dorm room was. With it being the weekend, the likelihood of campus maintenance getting the problem resolved was slim to none. So, I searched all over trying to get this wonderful and deserving student a beater. I searched for the nearest store to campus and according to Google, that was Home Depot. I searched for an hour on their website for “In-Stock) heaters and once I found the item with multiples in-stock....I placed the order. This student, wakes 2 miles (each way) in the cold from campus to Home Depot to pick the heater up....only to be told that the heater was already picked up and now they have none. When I called and spoke to an associate, I was then told that the beateust have been sold “accidentally”. I’m so furious with this store and the unprofessional, sketchy way that they do business, that it has me seriously in tears! I then asked to speak to a manger “Zack” who surprisingly has a review on their website as a customer....who could offer no explanation! I will NEVER do business with this company again and I will share this story across every social media site available!SHAME ON YOU HOME DEPOT.....SHAME ON YOU!!!!
Terrible customer service from Diane. Returning paint of the same brand and price. But needed a different color. My mom ordered the wrong color on line. I went to Home Depot to exchange colors and was given a really hard time for an EVEN exchange with verifiable receipts from the online purchase. Held up for at least an hour. Was told by Diane that next time she will know not to render this exchange courtesy to the next patron that may be in the same situation. Retrain on customer service.
This couldnt be a worse example of customer service and a lack of knowledge. We only patron this place when there is absolutely no other option. 9 times out of 10 they give us incorrect advice and we end up spending twice the amount of money because we have to do the project again. Save yourself the money and the aggrevation and take your business elsewhere. Youll be glad you did. Wish there was a way to leave less than 1 star.
Now were talking when I go here Im like a kid in a Candy store I could live there literally Ill use there tools and materials and build me a home lol but seriously they are a good store to shop they have it all and the prices aint that bad as well so if your looking for that right tool to building that dog house or wiring your room that you just added to your house they have it all and friendly staff
It was awful! We ordered online. Had to wait in store 45 minutes. We asked for a carry out and the guy took off without helping us. Then to finish the experience, they sold us 50 lbs of potting soil with a huge hole in the bag and it made a mess of our clothes and the recently vacuumed trunk. Total let down!
“Mark” the “manager” was extremely rude. My card was charged twice for items I never even received because of their system. He would not provide me with any written documentation, a receipt, or even the store managers business card so I am still out over two hundred dollars and was not even given the items I paid for. Very disappointing for a company I have used for so long
Lady in customer service was very nasty. I bought deck stain and it wasnt the kind I needed so I brought that back with receipt and she refused to let me return it. She was talking on her personal cell when I walked up and wouldnt let me return deck stain or exchange it.
The returns department at this location is terrible. They are never knowledgeable enough to answer your questions and rude on top of that. I wish I got her name before I left today but the old lady that was “helping” me today was very rude. However, I never have a bad experience at the Amherst location. Shop there.
Its ok since most specialty parts suppliers that may be able to beat (a few) prices, they are open past 4/5pm and close to nearly everywhere too. Most staff seems to know too little to be in some specific departments, trying to seek help is MOST departments is much too often not easy, (unless theyre over 40-70years old, lol)-ALL local stores seem to lack a proper amount of people to not only run more efficiently, but also be a LOT more helpful for the average DIYer that fills up the place all day, and especially to assist in random areas when needed...like price checks! Ive walked across the entire store to take a picture of a price tag, come back and had no one respond to the cashiers requests for assistance. Ive Even had cashiers run to check themselves MORE than people come to their assistance....- (email) Coupons also expire WAY Too fast, like a few days after I get it, especially since I only see them via email, and quite forget to use them during when Im running in a many times, spending plenty of money each time, then within days, the bonus or reward I get for spending so much money there, gets taken away before I can use them more often than not.Lowes gives me:-better coupons/deals (10%-20% off) more OFTEN, that also last longer, and even coupons with a LOT of receipts.-5% back for using their credit card-5% back for using their preload card attached to my back account and takes instant transfers-10% to ALL veterans all the time-Price match (& therefore beat by 5% with one of their cards)- the staff seem VERY accessible often- more often than not, the FIRST person I encounter can help me, or get me someone fast who can.- have buttons in a few areas to page specific types of assistance that require trained staff. If there were more AND/OR Lowes were closer, I would use Home Depot a lot less because of these reasons.
I love the home Depo me and my husband had don lots of home improvement in our home and the employees in this store have been lots of help. We have been in lows and we dont get the same service theres time that we ask for help and nobody shows up and they walk by you and dont ask you if you are been help. I LOVE THE HOME DEPO great customer service and very helpful from Zu and Victor thanks for the great job...
Very bad customer service. Manager was not willing to work with me when it came to returns and exchanges of appliances. Kept hiding behind outdated policies as the reason for not returning defective appliances. I was told to contact the vendor directly as it is no longer the stores problem.
If you need any Help ask for CARLOS!!! This man is truly the nicest person ive met. He is very helpful and knows his stuff!! Ive been remodeling my home and every time I go there he seems to always be there to help and give great recommendations. I hope to have him over for a few beers when im done to show him how his help transformed my home..5STARS TO CARLOS. He deserves a raise!!!
All I did was call there to see if they had a water filter for a fridge, and was on hold for 35 minutes in grand total.. I even spoke to the manager there he wouldnt even answer my question and transferred me again and again.. Random Home Depot employees would pick up the phone and just transfer me nobody wanted to look for the product I wanted... Ive spent thousands of dollars at that place and would never spend a red cent there again. They way I was disrespected was unheard of... Never shopping there again....
::edit:: for people trying to find things, download the app and add this location as your store. Use the app search function to find the item and location in the store. Some folks there are helpful, most are useless and shouldnt be in customer service of any kind.As seen in a previous review, no help around and the young people working are pretty useless. Two people helping a person pick out a rug? Meanwhile, been waiting for over 20 minutes for help actually making a purchase.
MIXED REVIEW..A few observations about this store. Most often, they will walk you to the product rather than point and say its over there. This is the exact opposite of the other blue home improvement store.1.) The plumbing guy, who looks like a mini version of Yanni, is always helpful and knows his field.2.) The power tools guy gave me some much-appreciated info on when the overpriced table saws may be marked down.3.) The older gentleman who works plumbing and wears a 5-pointed sheriffs star gets 1 star for being rude and possessing limited customer skills.
This is easily the highest volume Home Depot in Western NY, they could do a better job stocking shelves and getting carts in the building but the staff is friendly and mostly helpful. The sheriff of the plumbing department is knowledgable and Ron the store manager is courteous and friendly. Still beats the crap out of Lowes.
Crappy customer service and ordered a dryer inside the store, delivered wrong dryer, was told have to wait another week for a new dryer. After talking to 3 different customer reps all I was given was the run around after paying a certain amount of money for a washer and dryer. Not a happy camper. Advice: repeat orders again and again until you are sure these idiots can work their little brains and know exactly what you want!
I went in the store with a list of things I needed which had to be ordered. It took forever to get someone to help me. Now, in trying to call to see if my whole order is there, no one will answer the phone whether it be main number or pro desk. Very poor customer support.
Today I had a manager admit to me that the level of service at the Elmwood location has to be decreased because of the level of theft here.So pass that issue on to the customer?I asked to have something done that both the Batavia location and Niagara Falls Blvd. location had no problem doing. But because I believe in the resurgence of Buffalo and haven’t flown to the burbs, I get second class customer service.....Is this a corporate policy???

2022-04-21Big store, friendly & helpful staff. Taking away 2 stars because they only sell wallpaper online whereas their online site makes it seem as though you can purchase in store - other than the wallpaper debacle I like Home Depot

2022-06-06Theres a decent selection of supplies, though the online inventory numbers may not really reflect whats available. Generally, the workers are helpful, though not as knowledgeable about the areas theyre working in as the staff was a decade ago.

2022-07-02Great location but absolutely horrid women’s restrooms. Flush not working, feces stuck in toilets so they’re unusavble, toilet paper mess on the floor, and toilet paper rolls laying about

2022-01-31Dont trust them with delivery.Ordered a mini fridge and scheduled a delivery for the next week. When the day came they cancelled it saying there was a fault in the system. I had to call them 20 times and then I got it after 3 days. They promised me $50 off but never refunded. So there.

2022-02-18The Home Depot on Elmwood is my favorite one. Everyone at the ProDesk is amazing and help you in anything they can, Jamark, CJ, Jason and Justin and the rest of the ProDesk employees go above and beyond for my small company. They make going into the store easier knowing they are there to help.
