I had placed an online oder and went to pick up the in stock merch. Unfortunately in lacing my order for Florescent light fixtures and tubes the tubes got shipped instead of assigned for pick up. I asked if i could pick them up instead, but their system wouldnt allow it (but they tried) so I had to spend extra to get the tubes. the employes all were practicing covid safe mask wearing (many of their clintel were with out) an old English Bulldog sniffed my leg inside but was restrained and friendly and my 2 dogs delighted in the scent left there when I got back home.
Leaving this review specifically for the man that helped my dad and I out tonight. He went out of his way to get the 13ft. inflatable Jack Skellington archway display model down for us so we could buy it. Didn’t catch his name, but he was the hardest working person in the store tonight. He did everything by himself without any help. If you are seeing this - guy that helped us out tonight - thank you, again for your hard work!
Would not recommend the flooring dept. Paid $35 for a third party company to come out for measurements for my kitchen. They said I would need an abatement company to rip out old flooring before doing floors. They said my flooring was from 1985 or older. There is NO way the flooring is that old as the previous homeowners re-did the whole kitchen. I decided to go with Lumber Liquidators instead. They agreed my floors were not that old and in fact, were newer. I am now saving almost $500 as well. Highly recommend Lumber Liquidators for your flooring needs.
I came to the McKinley Home Depot after having a bad experience at Lowe’s. Both stores offer a cut to size service in their lumber department. I was being helped by a man named Scott and after showing him the pictures of the bad job done at the other store he said he would do his best to help. He cut my shelving to size and even double checked the measurements and all of the cuts were smooth and even. He was also very friendly which some home improvement store employees are not nice to young women and act like we’re dumb. This was not the case with Scott. Thanks for your help!
Ridiculous that I bought a fridge from home depot....waited 2 weeks for delivery only to get a call at 635 for a 3-7 delivery to say there was a death in the family....uncle.....thx Dave from RAS....WHAT A JOKE! 400 DOLLARS OF FROZEN FOOD WASTED..... DONT BUY HOME DEPOT
Customer service is dead. Standard answer to could you help me find these gloves on your website that says its in stock at this store? We have gloves all over the store, look around. Translation, I get paid weather or not I help you and I need to get back to chatting with my coworkers.
Absolutely terrible service. We tried to order a dishwasher from this store with instillation. The earliest delivery date was 3 weeks out, but we didnt complain. The day before the delivery date we got the robot call that our delivery time would be between 7am and 11am and that we would get a call from the delivery team when they were a half hour away. But this call was to our secondary number, not what was listed as primary which was odd. I woke up at 6:30 am to make sure wed hear the delivery people. No one Ever called or range the doorbell. Closer to 11 I finally went outside and saw they had hung the sorry we missed you sign, Not even on the door! We called to Home depot and instead of getting an apology that the delivery team never called - despite up being told by the lady we purchase from and the robot call that they would - we got berated by their customer service that we must not have been paying attention. I cant stand with my nose pressed to the door for four hours, thats the whole point of the delivery call, and they did not ring the door bell as that bell goes to every single floor in the house and sets off the dog barking. We were then told by the customer service representative, word for word, The delivery truck is currently turning around and we will call you once they are 30 minutes away No one ever called or showed up again. We then called again the next day and we not apologized to for the delivery team not showing up, but told the next delivery date available would be weeks away. Absolutely ridiculous so we had to cancel the order. Just save yourself the trouble and go to Lowes or buy local.
Terrible customer service. $1300 snow blower that would not run. Then after calling and asking if/how to return it never mentioned that all the gas had to be removed. Get to the store and they refuse the return since it has gas in it. Thanks for wasting my time. Should of said during the phone call that it needed to be completely emptied.
They have awesome customer service and they have lots of useful great stuff, by that I mean everything you need for all your projects. Be careful going there because once you start looking for one thing you start getting ideas for other projects and then you find yourself doing another great project!
The paint department at 9 am on a thursday has the slowest worker behind the desk that can barely operate the computer!!! Be prepared to wait while three workers at the service desk have no customers and give you dirty looks when you look to them for help! I cant explain how i felt that customer service here is not a priority!
My experience today was satisfying, as usual. Courteous personnel, you didnt have to chase them down to get help, if you were lucky enough to have located one in other big box stores. Merchandise is available and reasonably priced; a sale is truly a sale, just check out others. I am pleased as punch!
Store Manager at Hamburg location- Mark M. is a stand up guy!! Ive been making almost daily trips there since purchasing a home a few months back without issue. Purchased a grill online and went to pickup--Ill spare the details- but it was a subpar experience and I came home without a grill. Decided to take a moment to email the manager to let him know.This guy actually called me himself within the hour to apologize and had the grill at my door well before dinnertime!!!I didnt even think such a large company would read my email much less make it right immediately!!I am proud to continue shopping here for all my needs knowing they actually care about their customers is a rarity these days !!!Thank you to Mark and The Home Depot..quality business!!~Shannon
Had the best experience in the Door and Window Dept. I twice went in with very little knowledge about a door I needed help with. Lou was on both days I went in. He went way beyond the level of help I was in need of. His experience and expertise in his knowledge of the questions I had was so very beneficial for what I needed. I appreciate the time and effort he put forth.
I just went to your store. Omg it was amazing!!! I have a broken foot and the associates were so kind and helpful. They looked for the items I needed and I was asked to stay put and they would get it for me. Wonderful experience. I wish I got both their names. One was Cheryl but didnt get the young gentlemans name. Thank you for the both of you for helping me when you knew it was difficult to walk around. I highly recommend the Hamburg store!!!! Was there today,this place is a total joke!!! I was looking for a associate to get help to buy a bathtub. The one associate said , it wasnt his department and sent me over to the customer service desk.Customer service desk sent me over to bath and kitchen and I encounter a over weight women with a attitude problem and said she doesnt know why I was sent to her .At that point i lost it, i said ,apparently Home Depot doesnt want my business , I told her Iam going to cancel my home depot credit and went over to Lowe,where I bought my bathtub and faucets and was treated like a customer.
Trying to find someone to help is laughable. Parking lot situation is a joke. Ive been hung up on twice when trying to call for assistance. Currently waiting on a call back cause someone else was using the system they needed to look up my information. Really?! Only one person can access at a time? Their delivery service is horrible. Im currently waiting on delivery attempt #3 on a refrigerator I purchased, to which I STILL DONT have an actual delivery date for. When these issues are not the customers fault we should be given PRIORITY, not made to wait and wait and wait! Called the store and its brushed off, zero help. Will never ever EVER order another appliance from Home Depot again. Seriously considering canceling my order, getting refunded, and going elsewhere.
PAINFUL!!!!!. Had to find plywood myself and thats fine but the two guys working there had no idea what sanded plywood was. After waiting 45 min for someone to quarter a sheet of plywood i had to explain and basically assist the only guy certified on the saw. Even corrected his cut location. Making me wonder if saving a couple bucks over the local lumber yard is worth the aggravation.
I really hate going here, theres never anybody around to help you, and when you finally do, they have no idea what you are talking about. I think they should have some cross trading, maybe some general workshops for their employees. You go in relying on someone who knows how to handle whatever problem you have and you get nothing. I know they have a big selection and things you might not find in smaller stores, but you definitely get more help from smaller stores and ALL the employees have knowledge about all the things in their store. Bottom line, I went looking for help and left with an item that I knew more about than the three employees I encountered. Ugh, for being so big, they didnt even have what I was really looking for!
Abysmal hands down the worst. I had a dryer delivered on 2/8. I paid to have it hooked up and they did a poor job of that, so poor in fact it was a fire hazard. Had to fix the install job. Then I call to let them know the dryer is already making noises. They didnt care. After a long hold a woman said someone from the appliance dept. would get back to me. No, they didnt get back to me either. What a ripoff. Home Depot ripped me off $503 and almost got my house burned down. Thanks home depot
Need to train staff better. In order to run a profitable business the employees need to learn that their salary is paid by patrons of business, not corporate. When a customer is shopping, excuse yourself if pushing a cart through the isle. Employees are acting as if the buyers are interfering with their jobs. Also stocking shelves should be done prior to opening for the day.
Big Box Home Improvement Store. Clean and handicap accessible. The aisles are marked but I have the same complaint with every Home Depot store I have ever entered, I can come in for a couple of nuts and bolts and it still takes way too long to find what I need. And when I do, do I get them by count from different bins, or the small combo pack or larger multiple size packs ....ugh. Even when I do find an associate, its not their dept so more delays. I will give them credit for the free service of cutting my product to size. Dont ever stop that. It is one of the main reasons I come here rather than the other Big Box.
I occasionally visit this location if I am nearby, but this is not my home store. The store provides an adequate Home Depot experience. The selection and quality is similar to most other locations. The employees at this location are helpful and friendly. The only thing I dont like about this location is that it is placed in the middle of several busy interconnected parking lots and hosts the light nearest the Thruway entrance/exit.
I visit this location 2-3 times a week for all construction and personal projects. Typically, when I don’t know where things are exactly the man in me doesn’t allow myself to ask someone who probably knows exactly where it is. Staff are always working but stop to make sure the customer is taken care of and is find what they need or consults on different options. Great customer service!

Went to get a air compressor and had the display marked for 99 dollars. We took it up to the register and it was more expensive so we talked to the sales guy in charge of that department and he said it was just for the compressor but the sale price was on the one with the attachments. He would not admit there mistake and correct it so we got mad and they lost a sale and 2 costumers. Will not go back again to this one store.
I will no longer shop at this location. The customer service is belligerent. The assistance is indifferent.The worst Home Depot store by far, and I have shopped at many Home Depot stores from Florida to Vermont. This one is the pits, and it’s the only exception to a great chain.

Just a heads up to H.R. and all the customers that shop at this store the employee that works at home depot michael harding buys things new from the store goes home and switches out the old used products then returns the old used items to get his money back then sells the old used equipment as a new product to unsuspecting customers!! Dude has a nice new remodeled home!! Wonder how long hes been doing this!!!
I spend a lot of time and money purchasing from Home Depot at other locations besides the Hamburg store. Today I was very disappointed when I visited the Hamburg location on milestrip. I have over 30 years experience with windows and doors as well as custom woodworking. I requested assistance from 3 associates in millwork to locate a simple u-shaped sweep for a storm door. All three were reluctant to put in any effort to assist me. It was only after I located the item on my phone from their website and stated they had 14 in stock and verbally directed one of them to get up and help me find it that one of them left his seat and assisted me to locate one in the overhead. I remember when customer service meant something.
Really difficult to find help but eventually found what we were looking for on our own. Had to go back the next morning to get a ladder we were told was coming in on a truck only to find out they were in a rack right above where they were merchandised but apparently the guy the night before didnt want to retrieve them so he told us they were on a delivery coming in that night. SMH
VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT ORDER appliances FROM HOME DEPOT! WAITED TWO MONTHS FOR MY APPLIANCES TO BE DELIVERED, WAS PROMISED THEY WOULD ARRIVE BEFORE CHRISTMAS,(THEY DID NOT) I THEN CALLED THERE AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE(A JOKE)THEY SAID THEY WERE SORRY FOR THE DELAY WITCH I THOUGHT WITH LIFE NOW A DAYS WAS TO BE UNDERSTANDABLE. HOWEVER THE LADY ON THE PHONE GAVE ME A 15% MONNY BACK DISCOUNT ONCE THEY ARRIVE AND ARE IN GOOD SHAPE, I TRYED CALLING BACK AFTER THEY ARRIVED, NO ONE COULD HELP, TOLD ME THERE WAS NO NOTE FOR THAT DISCOUNT, (SHE LIED TO GET ME OFF THE PHONE) THEN I PAYED FOR A INSTALL FOR TWO THINGS,, THEY IN STALLED MY DISH WASHER WRONG, I HAD TO PULL IT OUT AND REINSTALLED IT RIGHT,I SPENT 5K WITH THESE PEOPLE,,, I WILL ALWAYS STEER PEOPLE AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, I ALSO WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DONT GO HERE FOR APPLIANCES!!!!
Customer service is horrible. Multiple times I have went there I have received very poor or no help with products or questions. On my latest I asked 5 separate times for help with a product. No one ever came and the couple of people I asked walking by walked away and did not come back. Strange. Out of any store this certainly should have people willing to help customers.
We bought a faucet here that didnt work, and they wouldnt take it back, claiming wed have to take it up with the manufacturers. This, meanwhile, would leave my mother without a kitchen sink! Ridiculous. Ill now be taking the considerable amount of personal and professional construction business I used to do with Home Depot to someone who stands behind the products they sell.
I bought a washing machine from the mile strip Road location three weeks ago . I still don’t have my washing machine delivered I have been ran through the ringer jerked around now all the sudden they lost my account . I will never buy an appliance from them again .I am also on my way to the store now to take back my money and I will go to Sears
Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. We came in search of a grill, found one in 10 min, and then waited 25 min for someone to help us while a person working in the dept stared at us. A lady working in the same lawn and garden dept pointed at us and the guy shrugged and went back to what he was doing. I finally ASKED for help and the guy drove the grill to where we were standing AND WALKED AWAY!!!!! We purchased the grill, walked it out to our van and found it didnt fit, returned to the store for a grill in the box and waited another 30 min for a different idiot to tell us he didnt know where the were!!!!!!!!!!! My husband finally returned the grill and we walked out. We will never ever be back to this location ever ever. You all should be ashamed of yourselves and your customer service!!!
Terrible customer service. Employees had attitudes and would not answer all of my questions. The common answer I get here is I dont know. If you ever have to return any left over material, get ready for a battle because they dont make it easy as advertised. Will not be coming to this one again.
Terrible was at the West Seneca store, had an associate call over to the Hamburg store to confirm they had the two products. Products were confirmed to be on site and at the front customer service desk. Went to pick up only one on site and was told to come back for the other.

2022-06-23Remodel a house bought just about everything we needed from here. Helpful management. don’t use the 3 rd party delivery service (ship to home online) it’s a flipping nightmare management had to go out of their way due to NSD (Non Stop Delivery). I recommend asking for it to be shipped to store and delivered from there or pick it up. Other than that helpful place. Hopefully it turns out 😊

2022-03-09Went there on Saturday March 5, 2022. Got into an annoying situation with plumbing and a terrible product bought at Lowe’s. Dustin in the plumbing department, was very informative and very helpful getting us the right product. The human error came on our side and he did everything he could to steer us to the right solution. Kudos to Dustin

2022-04-18Went to get a 4400 PSI pressure washer which is behind a bar and need associate. Waited over 15 mins for someone and no one came. Asked another employee from another department if they could get me someone and they said they would. Waited another 15 and no one showed up. Well they lost my $1600 my company was going to spend there today. Poor customer service.

2022-07-03I was looking for a DeWalt battery and charger for a DCST920 string trimmer. I had picked out a charger and battery costing $149. An employee named Ahmed, directed me to their special, which included 2 batteries, the charger, a compact impact driver, and a kit bag for $99. Sounded like a good deal to me!Thank you Ahmed for the great advice.

2022-05-22Seriously can they make parking any more narrow. Half the lot needs to be lined for full size trucks with trailers. If Im going to home depot for lumber, flooring or large items give me the space to park.

2021-12-08Had a missing piece on a product my family Purchased here over the weekend. Went to customer service. The male (dark black hair) at the counter immediately seemed like he was having a bad morning as I very nicely said hello how are you this morning ..he stared at me... I repeated myself.. he replied this time.. I let him know about my issue. He said I would have to call the manufacturer for the small screw like part and tried to send me off. I asked to speak to a manager. He rolled his eyes and looked at the lady next to him like...not another one.... he got on the phone to call a manager for me. No manager came and he told me again that I would have to call the manufacturer for the part. I bought the store full store warranty. I really hoped to have a little more care for customer here. Its a hardware store right.. it took me to suggest having someone from hardware to come over to help me match the part to one they had for sale in the store. KUDOS to Mike in hardware working Wednesday morning around 9:15am. Mike showed concern and was quick to help me match my part and have extras for less than 2 bucks. Thank you Mike! I also understand bad mornings or bad days... I really do. However a customer service representative needs to show more care to customers needs.
