I had a new refrigerator and dishwasher delivered by Home Depot yesterday. The 2 gentlemen who delivered my appliances were extremely professional and competent. They communicated with me very well regarding their exact arrival time and delivery details. They quickly assessed my doorframe sizes and explained to me that they had to remove one door from its hinges to accommodate the large refrigerator without damaging anything. They performed the delivery quickly and with expert level care for my property and moved my old fridge to the garage for me as well. I was very pleased with the level of service I received.
This is a really nice, clean, well organized Home Depot. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I was looking for a pipe cutter and an associate from a different department walked us over to plumbing and handed us off to a associate that specialized in plumbing supplies. I found everything I needed for my project and checked out in under 20 minutes. It didnt get better than that! Plus they have an excellent selection of unusual and hard to find holiday decorations. Definitely an A+ store!
The delivery company is very unprofessional. I purchased a laundry machine online. I purchased the hose and all of the equipment I was told I am required to purchase and they brought them with them. The hose they brought was too short so they left without assembling the machine. I called back for them to come back. They came back and brought another hose saying they will fix it but left without fixing it and the machine got left sitting in the middle of the room instead of placing it where it belongs. This does not look good for such a big company to work with such an amateur delivery service. I called again and I was told to bring it back and that I would get my money back. They rather make me figure out a way to bring it back to the store and give me money than figuring out a solution. Very unsatisfied. Never had such an experience with home depot before... disappointed...
Upon my last visit, there were no lines to enter the building and no one available to assist me. Checkout was effortless, with no wait time. This location is in a mall, and signage for this Home Depot is visible from a vehicle moving in regular traffic on the sunrise highway. There is plenty of parking and reserve wheelchair-accessible parking also. There are two entrances marked as exit and entry, but patrons can use either.
They love taking your dough (spend over $20k annually in that place)...but try returning over bought items with no receipt and youre out of luck...even when you ask for a store credit. A new policy because of all the Shop Lifters they allow to run unfettered...most of whom probably work there...will shop there as little as possible moving forward.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!!! Went into the Copiague Home Depot about 45 minutes before closing for spackle and a patch kit to repair a small hole in the wall. While I was looking for what I needed in aisle 10, Matthew stopped what he was doing and asked me do I need help. I explained to him what I was doing and what I needed. He knew I didnt really had a clue so he gave me a quick course on how to spackle the correct way. He went above and beyond when he walked me to the other end to the store to get a more heavy duty patch for the job. Matthew made my Home Depot shopping experience great and thats the way customer service should always be....thanks again Matthew for all your help really appreciate it!!!
I tend to try to shop in the evening and always suffer a consistent horrible experience. Today an employee pretty much blocked me from walking down an aisle and closed the gate in my face. Would not let me get one tube of caulk. No explanation. No activity in adjacent aisles. I just waited and waited for over 45 minutes, then I gave up. No regard for customers. Shame on you home depot.
I really dont like to post negative, but dont give customers an attitude because of 2 sets of information. I called up to see if something was in stock as the website showed on hand. Hes telling me no there isnt any in the store. Im telling him ok, just being sure as your website said something different. no big deal. Then he goes on to repeat very nasty that they have none and hangs up on me. That how you talk to people? Really?
The worst home depo I’ve ever been to. I was here 2x 7/23/21 and today 7/27/21. I asked the sales associate in isle 4 for help the rudest attitude ever when I asked for help but wanted to be nice to the older gentlemen that was asking for help. He didn’t even look at me while I was talking just brushing me off and complaining how he’s the only one working and “doesn’t have time right now”. If you don’t like your job don’t apply to work in customer service.My 1st visit I asked 4 sales associates for help instead of showing me where to find what I was asking for they sent me on a man hunt. The 4th person was the only one to show me where to find what I needed and the correct size for the wires that I had were not the right one.Just go to Lowe’s. They will treat you better and customer service with the sales associates are way better.
Ordered decking material a week in advance, delivery order came incomplete. No one from Home Depot called about the missing items, I had to reach out them twice, only to be disconnected on a phone call twice. Completely disrespectful and irresponsible, I will no longer be shopping at Home Depot. Terrible customer service!
I rented a cement mixer at the Copiague NY Home Depot. The service was beyond expectations. I was helped by Nazer. He advised me on safety, what cement to use and length of time to mix. When I returned the mixer he helped with my 60 lbs cement bags I had to return. The best service. I have had at Home Depot. Thank you Nazer.
The employees are helpful and honest. Want proof? Walk in during a power outage caused by a storm. Employee help me look for an axe to clear out some fallen limbs. They were out, but he then recommended me buy a saw....use it, and simply return it. Theyll take anything back he said. Not all heroes where capes! 🤘🏿
Terrible experience with the Kitchen department. In store and online. Showed up for my kitchen design and the person I was meeting with didnt show up for the day (I wasnt informed). Took them 1/2 hour to get someone to help me. Online experience also has severe lack of communication. Go elsewhere for a kitchen design.
I just dont understand how a security person can stand there 5 feet away from the register as the cashier rings me up, then asks to check over my receipt 2-3 steps past the register. This is a prime example of inefficiency at its finest. If he is just going to stand a few steps away and observe the least they could do is to participate in the transaction maybe help to bag up some items or help wheel the cart to the customers vehicle. Maybe even help someone to safely load the items on or in their cars. Clearly eliminating the job of the cashiers babysitter and replacing him with another cashier would shorten the customers wait while increasing the stores profits and the customers overall shopping experience which could only increase the percentage of happy customers who are then more willing to return
Curbside pickup of a bathroom vanity was easy and the help was outstanding. The cabinet was strapped on to a pallet when it was brought to the car. The straps were cut off then the box was lifted and put into my Jeep Compass without any fuss. I tried to tip the two HD guys but they refused it and said it was just part of their job. I thanked them and I went on my way.
Never trust the inventory information that they post in google. They do not even attempt to keep it accurate. You will get to the store to find out that your product has been out of inventory for weeks. Employees know this and make no effort to correct the issue. Don’t be a sucker!
Im sure its a societal problem. But why cant these Customer Service employees communicate in complete sentences. Ive tried in person and over the phone. Most of the team at this location are super helpful but others I feel like Im shouting into a tunnel. There are other jobs that would allow you substantially less face time with other human beings if it bothers you so much. I dont suppose the competition is stiff for Home Depot positions, but who does the hiring at the Copiague store?
Updated review. This has to be the worst Home Depot on the planet. They are poor at managing stock. I could understand being out of stock of a product for days but weeks? Went to buy lumber in the early evening. Bad idea. The aisles are so littered with equipment and waste it’s not possible to safely shop. Definitely a safety hazard.
I gave one star because I went here yesterday with my brother to spend $3,000 on deck material and when I asked for help to load my truck (with a forklift) the lady at the register told me that they don’t do that which is a lie they are obligated to help you load if the merchandise is too heavy to lift it by yourself so I asked her to call the store manager she got angry and started muttering god knows what while she walk away, by my surprise the assistant manager who claimed to be the store manager was even worse and when I asked for help he said he won’t load my truck, I asked him why? And he’s answer “because I say so” I returned all the merchandise at that point try to contact Home Depot customer service but no one answer. Really bad service, if you go there be ready to treated like you are begging for money or worse
Poor costumer service. I ask for i piece of wood to be cut and person that did it was not happy about it. They dont do special projects. I said ok i understood. I ask of he could cut the wood in half and he said yes. I walk out of the place with 2 pieces of wood of different sizes
How are u I’m a loyal shopper of your store. Very disappointed with the way the lady by the front door spoke to me. I forgot my mask in the car yeah my fault but u don’t be rude to people telling them they can’t come in with no mask or I’m gonna get thrown out. No one is throwing me out ask me to leave I will if I don’t have a mask on. She should be a little more professional by letting people know in a nice way that u can’t come in without a mask for everyone’s safety.
The huge store didnt have what we wanted down the isles we were looking for.Alot of Non Speaking English workers, Not being Disrespectful to the workers.Home Depot got more Expensive on certain things I used to buy, that was Very Disappointed.It was a very Clean store!!!
Dealt with Deana in the rental place. From the moment we walked in it was one of the worst experiences. She has the energy of a sloth with the worst attitude Ive ever encountered to say shes rude is like saying Hitler didnt like certain people. This happens to be one of the best home depots on the island. All my previous experiences have been beyond amazing. How she has a customer experience job is beyond my comprehension. I will continue to use them but will call ahead and rearrange my schedule to never deal with her again. One example we just started the process and my girlfriend needed to get her insurance from her car. We didnt give anything else yet. I tell guy behind me to go so we dont waste his time. Very sternly she said she couldnt stop what she started. I asked what have you started? You told us what you need and my girlfriend went to get. She made him wait..
They are always so crowded and trying to find someone to help is impossible but once I did find someone they led me to the exact part I needed for my snow blower. The staff is very knowledgeable it just sucks trying to find someone. The one part about my trip this time was truly incredible. I went to rent a power washer and when I was speaking with Dave he showed me how to use it and even gave me tips on how much pressure to use with certain material. He was so extremely nice and personable. THANK YOU DAVE
Jen in Customer Service was incredibly helpful in finding my online order in the store. She personally checked receiving, mail and finally found it in an unexpected place. Her diligence saved the prompt start of our home project this week. There should be more people like her. Thank you, Jen
I had a great experience at Home Depot in copiague this morning. I went there because I had some lighting issues with 2 of my ceiling fans. Tommy, who works in the electrical/fan area asked what I needed. I explained that my 2 fans were working but not the lights. He said lets take a look and see if it was miner issue. He spent so much time with me troubleshooting the light issue. He was so professional and such a nice person! He figured out the problems with both light fixtures. I went there expecting to buy 2 new ceiling fans but because he was so great at what he does I did not have to buy new ceiling fans. What a great employee you have!! He is such an asset to Home Depot!!!! Thank you Tommy
Why advertise that you are open till 9 when you lock your doors constantly anywhere between 5-15 minutes early leaving loyal customers locked out of your stores. You ran all of the small mom and pops out of business the least you can do is stay opened when advertised !!!
Delivery to car was useless. When you pulled up the phone number to call was busy or hung up on you. Everyone around me tried many times and we’re all visibly upset. When I went inside no one had a clue what was going on and the one guy said there was a single person doing all the car deliveries. I saw him and he was surely overwhelmed as there were about 10 spots or so. Took me a half hour to pick up a simple item. Hopefully it will get better.
I love the store itself and the employees that work there. However I bought a beautiful ceiling fan for my kitchen. I had a contractor install it and no remote receiver. I called the company and they sent me a new one, I called my contractor back to install it,, that one did not work,,, so again weeks later still no fan working I called them back to tell them it is not working. Karen W at home depot customer care gave me such an attitude almost like it was my fault. After I explained what happened she told me to bring the fan into the nearest Home Depot,, I told her it was on my ceiling and I would have to call my contractor back to remove it, which is not free, I again explained the remote receiver was what I needed. She sends me an email on Dec 22nd saying she emailed them to obtain a new one. Havent heard anything at all,, not an email, no remote receiver,, nothing,, talk about not caring about the customer,, I am so disgusted every time I look up at my ceiling fan. If I could give her a negative 0 I would. If you ever buy something with any parts missing/defective do yourself a favor and if Karen W answers hang up and call back again. I will be sure to tell every one I know about this.
Terrible customer service at the store, employees talking one another and not paying attention or trying to help customers.I got something a day before and o got it wrong i when yo returned and they denied the return even with store credit, I see what Amazon make the money they make.I will never buy here again Amazon you just got a new loyal customer, because my business I spend over 60 k a year here, now is gone from your pockets.
Almost everyone has been to a home depot before and I can assume that selection and layout across them all are good. When it comes to staff knowledge and usefulness they are average to above average but not quite 5 star worthy. The new self check out kiosks have scanners which are great too!
I will start with - as great a store as Home Depot is - I hate shopping in it. I know nothing and its so big & so overwhelming, and I rarely find anyone that can help me. That said - I am a event planner who does large scale installations, so on this day - buying supplies and other items for a restaurant set up in Manhattan i ventured into this Copaigue Store...Not only found everything I was looking for, found people who worked there - really knew their store and could assist when needed. I ended up opening an account and will make this my go to store. I must give a shout out to Anthony - who was on the floor near the holiday stuff and was extremely helpful...and then Bruno & Donna over by Pro Services who made it easy & fun to open my account and check out my 3 carts full of supplies.Thank you to all - I am now a Home Depot Fan - at least at this location.
Great prices and availability of product. Heres a tip. Look up what you want online before going. Record the aisle and bay number. It makes shopping really easy although there are sales people to help if you need it. Today I bought 10 items, found them all quickly since I had the aisle and bay number. It took me 5 minutes.
I was looking for a few items and found the associates to be very helpful ! One approached me almost immediately when I checked out a gazebo. Another associate helped me find the correct anchor screws for cement to stabilize the gazebo. Then a third associated stopped what he was doing and gladly answered my questions about different trimmers/edgers. He knew all the details of the different models and I felt confident making a decision. There are a lot more associates on the floor. All are very pleasant and cordial. No problems here ! I believe the man who helped me’s name is Rob, he was working in the rental department on 8/30/19. I can’t say nicer things about this man! I had rented a car with my family and accidentally left my phone in the truck we rented, we called and he was able to find it for me, and on top of his outstanding kindness he would not except the money I offered to him! PROMOTE THIS MAN!
Visit here frequently, they usually have what I am looking for. If they are out of stock theyll look up where you can get it nearby or let you know when itll be in stock. Their lumber selection is Alright, although they have been out of the plywood I was looking for the last 3 times Ive visited. Overall nice store with helpful staff.
I Went to Home Depot rental department in copiague it was a horrible Experience for some reason these guys that work in rental department in copiague and Farmingdale are miserable and have a real bad Attitude I rented a bob cat in this location track comes off the machine half an hour in to job called the number no one showed to the next day when it was fixed already had to pay 600 dollars out of my pocket for a tow truck and mechanic to fix track and pull it out of mud I go to home depo the guys just giving me a attitude saying it’s not his problem ask to speak to manager said he was manager still charged my card and laughed at my 600 dollar bill said they don’t pay for that will no longer shop there and will be telling all my friends with Bussiness to not give them Bussiness great way to run a huge Bussiness My employees would never talk to a customer like this They would be fired on the spot horrible service
I’m not sure what kind of company needs to double charge you for your transaction to make their money but avoid the Copiague Home Depot at any cost. Went in for two garbage cans today and the self checkout machine told me my card was declined but when I checked my account it showed the charges were posted, not even pending. Manager was rude and told me she couldn’t help me and this happens all the time. Went through the same thing there a few months ago and had to dispute two extra charges on my card from them.
Its an OK place to get some tools. But had bad experience this one day. Went with landlord to help get some replacement tiles. They didnt have it and they looked on their database to see if other Home Depots had it. They pointed it to the one in Airport Plaza. So we went there. We found out that they also didnt have it anymore. So, the employees did the same search on their database. The only difference was that this employee called the other stores to find out if they had the tiles. After two or three calls, they found a HD that had the specific tiles we wanted.
Had to order some interior doors, windows and a patio sliding door from this store. Had the delivery. Two guys to drop off my delivery. Only one guy carrying everything while the other tossed items all over the back of the truck. Offered to help, young guy said no. Ended up with a dammaged window which they would not take back. Had to return my two doors because I needed right hand swing doors not left ones. Mistake by the sales man, not me or the contractor. Had to pay a $50.00 restocking fee, never told about that one either. Company would not take my window back. $650.00 gone. Had to get one at window Rama. So dont order any items from Home Depot. My slider also came with the wrong hardware. When I went back to tell them that I was supposed to get a brushed nickel, not a destressed nickel, a different guy said that it only comes with a destressed nickel hardware. Took my phone number and said he would call me by the next day to see if he could do anything for me. Never heard from the guy. Poor customer service. I spent thousands of dollars in this store just to have many problems and poor customer service! Should have gone to Lowes!!!
When you are looking for a items, & you need assistance on where to find them, Good Luck! Prices are something to be desirable. Very High in my opinion! Lots of times, when I cant find the Items Im looking for, I take a walk to that local Hardware store on the Corner of Sunrise Highway, across the street from Red Lobster! They have it!!!! Thats the Home Depot in Copiague on Sunrise Highway.
Large selection but not easy to access everything, especially if its out of reach. Getting an employee to help is hit or miss. Youll either find really knowledgeable and helpful employees or someone that is completely useless. Guys over in the paint section are legit. Expect to spend more time than anticipated.
Convenient location from my home and the staff is always helpful. I wish they had a better plant selection like the one just of the LIRR in Westbury that was nicknamed The Beast as that store makes a killing in volume mostly from Garden sales. Copiague needs more variety of plants.
Went there to buy a sliding door. The guy assigned to that area, not just covering, could barely answer our questions and the answers he did give were vague. The delivery process is really where things were terrible. The delivery was set and and established if we werent home they would leave the door leaning against the house......day of delivery comes and the driver calls to say yes on his way which was nice, he pulls up in front of my house and several minutes later drives away when I called him he said the door wasnt on his truck and assumed would be delivered later in the day. We dont hear anything for TWO DAYS and we had to call them. After several hours of them not knowing where the door was we find out the delivery guy refused to deliver it solo due to size and weight. Home depot told us in order to ensure 2 ppl at delivery we had to wait another 2 days. Day of delivery comes again and delivery guys calls to say on way and ask if there is someone there to help him get the door off the truck...what?!!? He explained that there are never 2 ppl for deliveries.....so how exactly were they gonna leave it leaning against my house AND why did we have to wait another 2 days for delivery then??? Threw out whole thing home depot was not very helpful and not until the very end were they willing to compensate us in any way. It was extremely frustrating and annoying.
Love the staff..real humans..not experts in everything but love to help if they have time.I spend thousands a month.A guy in the carpet section went out of his way to call me on his cell about a cheap 20 dollar piece of carpet that saved me 100 bucks....Yeah so at times its busy and whatever..give em a break they are magic in saving me thousands of dollars each month..keep it ☝ up
Went to Home depot today at 6.20 says on the phone that they are open till 8pm on Mothers day I went in guy said we are closed you will have to leave ,I said to the guy it says that you are open till 8pm he said next week we are back to normal hours due to the circumstances,told him I will go to lowes instead,went to lowes they we open and helpfully the guy at lowes said people think home depot and lowes are different,werent were open for the people unlike home depot is open only for profit.Go Lowes
There were more employees than customers, yet none approached me to ask me if I needed help. I asked at the paint departement for the glue section and was sent to go straight and then left hand side. I asked another associate and was sent to Hardware, in my way back to hardware I saw a sign for adhesives in the paint department.
Not a great experience. Came here because my local Home Depot in Farmingdale did not have a specific color of a item I wanted. I looked online and it said the copiague location had a abundance of this particular color. I came here and none were in the bay illustrated on the website. I asked for help from 2 different people and one man seemed like he was having a bad day and annoyed I asked him to help. Another man was nice and helpful but unfortunately it wasnt his area so he couldnt help too much. Nonetheless I left without the item I needed.
I ordered materials online which where canceled without my knowledge, even when they had the product in store, they have online that the store closes @8pm, when in fact they close at 6pm, I bought paint from another home depot location, I picked up my paint, then a few days later I get a call that my paint is ready for pick up, I have to wait in a long line outside, when you dont at Lowes..this is ridiculous!!
Well, this is a TOTAL Mens Store which is HOT, cause I LOVE Men who get there hands dirty and know how to build and fix things (ESPECIALLY CONSTRUCTION WORKERS)!! I HOWEVER, go here to get KEYS made and for the Seasonal Decorations... Its a HUGE store thats has everything ud need to fix or build something though and its fairly inexpensive..
Everyone standing around doing nothing but no one is even ambitious enough to help. One return at register. After 10 mins lady from internet pickup says come here and made it clear she was doing me a favor. There was friction. Ill wait but dont do your job and try to make it look like your above and beyond. Sucks lumberyard was closed. Rather pay double than get attitude.
Copiague store rearranged the departments electrical electrical is spread out in the middle of other isles cleaning storage etc. took me over an hour and only found half of what I need. Im a contractor. I need to get in-and-out please change it back and fire the executive that felt this would sell more.
At this home depot now at 8:06 am in aisle 16. no lights on in the shelves that have screws.. i was informed that the lights are on a automatic timer that goes on at 9 am. so if u need help and cant locate a product u need to call someone and thats pot luck when its busy...
I worked here for a few months and it was the worse job of my life. I got so tried of being stalked and harassed by the monstrous head managers from the garden department Jim P And Jim Denny. The head manager Frank and Annie (the 3rd garden department DH) have a heart of gold but the rest of them EAT S#&%H. Half of the people who work there are old enough to be my grandparents and they all act like high school kids running in cliques, bullying people and trying to make the new people pick up after them because they’re at work with this loser attitude that IVE BEEN HERE FOR 10+ YEARS SO NOW I DONT HAVE TO WORK instead of everyone working together to get the job done as a team! If you want your punctuality and strong work ethic to be appreciated this is not the job for you. If you are a kind hearted person this is not the job for you most of the people (not all but most) are very mean spirited and a bunch of busy bodies looking for drama and information all day instead of focusing on getting that money!!! That is why I walked off the job because I refuse to surround myself around that type of negativity. Nothing but vampires in this place trying to suck the joy/life out of you because theyre all a bunch of miserable insecure low lives. If you have a good head on your shoulders and your parents raised you with some home training this is not the place for you!
Please don’t buy any washer or dryer from this place as once it’s delivered they don’t give 2 cents what happen , had a dryer delivered and not drying and when I called them they stated they never delivered such appliances and hang up... Now am in store having to sort this out
THIS STORE I CANNOT TELL YOU I PURCHASED SOME LIGHTING FROM THE LIGHTING DEPARTMENT,WE GOT HOME AND 4 OUT THEE 6 LAMPS WE PURCHASED WERE BROKEN ,WE WENT BACK TO THE STORE TO RETURN THEM AND THEY CLAIMED WE BROKE THEM ,THEY WOULDNT RETURN OUR MONEY ,WE HAD TO CALL THE COPS ON THE LADY THE ASSISTANT MANAGER HER NAME WAS SARAH OR SOMETHING SHE EVEN CURSED AT ME!!!!! WE ARE PLANING TO SUE THE HOME DEPOT OVER THIS EMBARRASSING INCIDENT!!!! NO WONDER LOWES IS STEALING ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!

2022-06-02Very poor managerial skills. Last night i had to help a poor worker lift 50lb bags of mulch a female no less. I observed this young lady request for help from several of her male coworkers and yet no one wishes to do there job. I believe someone from higher up should be notified about this workforce they have and bring back teamwork!!!!

2022-04-07Visited the store shopping for floors and was greeted respectfully by Morena Orellana Joyce and Damin and each of them asked me if I needed help. Morena was very knowledgeable and suggested a few floors and also took the time to give me a breakdown of the total cost. Staff was very professional. Big improvement from the past years.

2022-02-10I came here for storage bins and they have an amazing variety. I like this location because its right off Sunrise Highway and there is a road next to the parking lot that makes it easy to get in and out of the lot. The staff was very friendly and helped me find exactly what I needed. I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes!

2018-11-05Buyer Beware!Sheds USA sells through Home Depot. The doors on my shed were warped upon installation. It took several weeks from the time that I called for the repair technicians to come. They proceeded to block plane the doors in place making a huge mess in my yard and making the doors even worse. I then called to have them replaced. After several more weeks the doors were replaced with 2 doors that look like a child made them, and the lumber used looks like it was rough cut with a buzz saw. I called and told them that I no longer want any of their amateurs working on my shed, but would instead like a partial refund. They agreed to a $300.00 refund ( the original cost of the shed was $2571.15). After a week and a half and several phone calls I was finally told that I would have to drive down to Home Depot to get my refund. When I got there the manager of Copiague Home Depot said that he would speak to Sheds USA about getting me more money back. He did no such thing! I called Sheds USA to tell them that I did not like the way that this all went down and I think that I should get more money back and I was accused of holding them hostage. I now submit pictures of my door repair experience and you decide if you want to buy a shed from Home Depot (Sheds USA).
