The Home Depot in other cities:
Awesome visit! As always. The guy in the grout area helped me so much with what grout I was looking for and gave me lots of information to help me out with my project! Always an excellent experience in the Commack Home Depot. My favorite location. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼Still my favorite location. 🙌🏽
Home Depot is one of my go-to places for basic things I need for the home. This trip I got a door mirror for my grandson, for his bedroom. We got a nice mirror with hardware included and I also bought some command strips to help keep it on the door when he opens and closes the closet.Because of the time we went there was lots of free parking The staff was helpful any aisles were clear of junk so we were able to get what we needed pretty quickly.
Home Depot had exactly what I was looking for. Whirlpool Microwave Oven, it was in stock and on sale. I was assisted by Big H (Humphrey) who came to my rescue earlier to look up numbers on the computer, check stock and share his knowledge and expertise. He is a great asset to the Depot. Today a really good shopping experience.
Horrible experience!! Had to wait FOREVER for paint. The only had 1 person that handled the entire department and he took FOREVER for each customer. When I would continually as for help from other workers who were just standing around NO ONE was willing to assist. Home Depot do better. A customer shouldnt have to wait 30minutes to get assistance for paint.
Went to the store, did not see any sanitizing station especially on the way out after using the cordless scanner, which everyone uses, and did not see anyone sanitizing after customer use it or any sanitizer to do it ourselves. Most of the stores I go have sanitizer on the way out.
First time in Deer Park Home Depot and it was the first time I didnt have to look everywhere for someone to help. I frequent Home Depot in Bayshore and barley see anyone on the floor to help. So my experience in this Home Depot was a great experience because of the helpful staff.
Went to the Deer Park HD on Commack Rd. Trying to get an answer in Gardening area was difficult. No one was around to answer questions, and the ones who were around couldnt give us a straight answer. Then we went to the lumber aisle to get something else we needed, and it was closed off. All we needed was one item, and the guys working in the aisle acted like they couldnt help us. We had to go in anyway, or else we would have been waiting forever! Signs in gardening showed soil for a sale price, but there were none available, so we asked if they could open one from the inventory (above the shelf), then they said there was no sale. So why was the sign still there? This HD location didnt show their best customer service side today.
BUYERS BEWARE. If you buy power tools be sure to open the box and look what’s inside at register!! Just bought a Milwaukee brushless tool kit got home and everything was switched inside with brushed tools with smaller batteries. This store apparently accepts returns without looking at what’s inside the boxes and just puts the items right back on the shelves for the next guy. Won’t be shopping here anymore
Had a great experience with the garden department today. I wanted to purchase a floor model patio umbrella because the boxed versions were sold out. I had someone page for assistance and three employees came to help! One of the employees was I believe a manager named Dan, and unfortunately I did not get the others names but they were equally helpful. They helped me disassemble the floor model and figure out how it works, and then helped me check out and load it into my car. Amazing service and I’m so happy to have this umbrella. Thank you!
Go to lowes or Ace instead!!!!!! Very crowded, not many people wearing masks here. The employees were very quiet and no one asked if we needed help, one employee had a cart blocking an entire lane and didnt try to move it or apologize when I moved it myself to get by him. There was also someone in the parking lot honking their horn for 5 minutes straight.
Ms. Ashley,...is so nice. She has the WIT!!! ATMOSPHERE was real nice. Everyone I came to for assistance, had KNOWLEDGE of the stores layout which made iit easy access for me to get in and out. That was such a CONVENIENCE. Store was pretty clean too. Im from PHILLY! Keep up the good work.
I went to the help desk today for an issue with my commercial account and was helped by Regina. I can not rave enough about her customer service!!! She was patient and so kind helping me correct my account. She even helped me with additional unrelated items afterwards. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere because of her. Thanks Regina!!!
Home Depot in Deer Park was AWESOME! TOM in the carpet/flooring section was GREAT and went above and beyond to get what we wanted 110%. I asked him how long hes been working there and he said since August 2020. Thats hard to believe when he KNEW where everything was! Great experience because of him. THANKS TOM from the Burrowes family in Queens, NY
Been to half a dozen other Home Depots and Lowes as a recent home buyer, and this store is by far the worst experience. The intercom should be taken away from these employees. Passive aggressive declarations about the store closing soon every 15 minutes plus some obnoxiously loud and unintelligible rants in between. Waited over 30 minutes after requesting a few paint samples only to be told the computer is..down? Which made all those bring your purchases up to the register because hey, if you havent heard, were closing speeches even more infuriating. What an absolute waste of my time (when I need it the most!)
I sat and designed a kitchen with J... n the Deer Park Home Depot. He gave me an estimate and I informed him I would think about it as it was rather pricey, and it was for a second kitchen. A few days later I returned to HD and informed J I wanted to proceed with the order, however I wanted to separate the order and pick up the cabinets from the store. He immediately informed me 1. (first lie) I COULDN NOT break up my order and 2. (2nd lie) I can not have my cabinets sent to the store I would have to pay the $350 delivery charge doe curbside delivery. When I questioned this he informed me this was HOME DEPOT’s POLICY. So I told him forget it. I already knew he was being untruthful because if I had only ordered 1 cabinet without doing a design, which I have done in the past they would have had it delivered to the store. Obviously, while HD does not give their employees commission I do believe they get incentives and rewards of some kind for selling cabinets. I also asked the customer service desk at the DP HD one lady said well what did J said while the guy behind her was saying yes they can be delivered to the store.I left the store went to the Copiague HD and was informed absolutely you can break up your order and absolutely you can save the $350 and have the cabinets picked up. I placed the order and actually saved some extra money because J had given me all of these upgrades without even asking me if I wanted them, which I did not. Kudos to Kim Lee at the Copiague HD for being honest!Anyway as you see some HD representatives just like being dishonest.
I dont know where the get their help from. I hope Im not generalizing but today I was in the lamp department and needed help. I saw a uniformed employee in the lamp department standing against a ladder and asked him where I could find a bedroom table lamp. He turned and mumbled something unintelligible and then said I dont know and rambled off. I ended up have to search the whole lamp department by myself.I know Home Depot has a very inclusive personnel department and am happy with that. But please, this must have been one of De Blasios street Army. Forgive me for being snide. Im sure the greater percentage of their employees are hard working and knowledgeable other wise it wouldnt be a successful company.Im just an average shopper who goes to Home Depot cause I know they carry everything. I just wish the employees knew where everything was!
1st time there and I loved it. Everyone was helpful. No lines which was a great thing since I had my 2 y.o with me. We shopped for flower bulbs and seeds, garden soil $2! Plant food, a 3 set gardening tool set and a bunch of Lilly bulbs and everything came out to $41!!!! Very impressed and happy! Cashier was super nice as well.
The Deer Park location is horrible. I usually check their website to make sure that the item I wish to purchase is in stock so I dont waste my time going. Ive lost track of how many times I go to this store and the item listed as in stock is no where to be found. Each time I asked a store rep to help and they cant find the item either. Whoever is in charge of overseeing stock should be fired. Somehow other locations dont seem to have this problem.
MY FIRST VISIT N WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE MY LAST. SHOTS OUT TO PICASSO JUNIOR WHOM IS THE GENTLEMAN THAT ASSISTED ME IN MY FIRST TIME HOME OWNER FIRST TIME PURCHASING PAINT EXPERIENCE. N THE COMEDIC EMPLOYEE THAT DUPLICATED MY DUPLICAYE KEYS, YOU ROCK, THANKS FOR THE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
I went here to browse kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances. Every worker I passed asked me if I needed help with anything. Janice and another man (near the cabinets section who’s name I didn’t catch) were extremely helpful and took their time with explaining everything in detail, including the pros and cons of certain products. Not once did I feel pressured into buying anything. I recently bought a new home so I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in a few different Home Depot locations, but the Deer Park location is by far the best. Thank you for amazing customer service!!
Paint experience was really great. The guy at the paint section was very knowledgeable and helpful as far as how much paint would be needed and offered very useful advice. I was even able to bring a color from Lowes and they made a sample within a few minutes. Overall everything was quick, reasonably priced, and Im very satisfied for the whole experience.
We live in a society now where everyone report their bad experiences but they are mute when it comes to acknowledging the good ones. Victoria in the Gardening department of this Home Depot is absolutely the sweetest and nicest lady. Because of her I only shop now at this location. I lost the lid for a garbage can I purchased their few weeks back and she gave me a free one because they had extras. To most that might not seem like a big deal but I thought it was refreshing to have such a pleasant interaction in the world we now live in.
I like Home Depot but not as much as Lowes. Not as many employees on the floor which means a little harder to find help if there busy. The outside companies they use to deliver their products they sell are horrible! I had Anderson windows delivered from them, came damaged and they would not take them back because they said I signed for them. The packaging look great around the windows and my contractor was installing them for me. Thought all was good till the contractor opened one up and the window looked liked it was dropped on the corner because of the damage. The box itself looked fine. Still would not take it back. I was out a window that cost me over $1300. Took me over five weeks to get these windows too. Went to WindowRama and got another window in one day. Im never ordering another product from Home Depot! Lowes, never had a problem with. Only went to Home Depot because Lowes doesnt deal with Anderson windows.
I’m a truck driver, I haul sea containers in and out New York, I picked up a bolt cutter from the tools aisle, my appearance cost me some bad comments from a customer and a Home Depot employee working in the tools department. I can’t change my appearance but I can definitely choose where to shop. My visit time was between 5:00PM-5:15PM 01/15/2021.
This star is for two clerk that were in the pick up area.I received notification that my orders were ready to be picked up.I went to the curb out parking and gave the guy my orders. I told him that I wanted to return one item. After waiting about 15 mnts I got one order and the guy told me that the return would be fine in a few. Try here was one item from the last irdrr. I had already waited about half an hour and still the item was missing. I then decided to park the car and to go inside the store.I hunted the clerk all over and I could not find him. After almost an hour the girl that is usually in the curb area was taking the item to he curb and was looking for me.Home Depot sent notification that all orders were ready to be picked up...why then I had to wait for more than 45 mnts to get one item,?
It was great, we had few questions and an employee by the name Edminx (Eddy) was there helping in making our decision one clear. Wise and best of all faster, since it was getting close to closing time. Thank you Eddy. By the way he needs a new Apron with a name tag. He earned it 💖👍
Paid for a subcontractor to take measurements of my kitchen to get it remodeled. Not only did he forget a measurement (width of the kitchen) but forgot 2 letters in my last name! When Joseph W input the measurements and designed my kitchen he got a few things wrong. Fridge size was wrong. Worst of all my quote for my back splash was 2000!? I thought it was weird, so I calculated myself and it came to 280... when I asked Joseph for my kitchen measurements, he did not provide them even though I paid someone to do them. Will not be using them , too many strikes .
I use this Home Depot all the time and usually can find a helpful person. Yesterday my husband, kids and I went to price out fencing. When i asked an associate for help, I was told that I should check stock and pricing online! Really? Whats the point of going to the store. Also, literally every time Im there the lady trying to sell solar stops me and asks me the same questions about my Triplets. Very frustrating when Im trying to get stuff done. My kids are not for your entertainment.
I bought a refrigerator on clearance and picked it up stored it for a while , when we bought it was in perfect condition well I finally finished the kitchen and went to bring into the house it was dented all over the doors every single external door and draw. Its my fault I should have had it unwrapped prior to taking it home . I am so upset its going to cost me a fortune to replace those doors and draw fronts.
Its just like all the other Home Depots, massive selection and good prices. There are knowledgeable people working there but you cant get upset if an employee tells you its not his/her asile because they dont want to steer you in the wrong direction. Actually you should complain to the store manager for the store being under staffed.
BEYOND DISAPPOINTED with the kitchen cabinets guy Joe! He messed up a few times (which cost me over $1000), but yesterday was absolutely unbelievable experience. We ordered Kraftmaid cabinets with ALL the updates, like organizers, electric trash, etc. Our original order had cabinets with glassdoors. From the very 1st moment the cabinets had glass doors. So, I needed to change the size of the cabinets. ONLY the size. What was delivered were the regular wood door cabinets. When I spoke to Joe yesterday, he said I should have told him I want glass cabinets in the updated order. Never in my mind it occurred to me he would change the doors, I mean we were working on this kitchen for a couple of weeks, going over every detail. And here I am, stuck with wrong cabinets when I just wanted to change the size!!! Also my rollouts did not come for the stove base. Joes answer was: well, you were trying to save money , so we didnt order them. As I said, we went over every detail, and I had every update possible (the kitchen bumped up $4000). How would I left the whole cabinet blank? Again he tried to blame it on me! SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! What happened to customer is always right? All I wanted to hear was,ok we are sorry and we will fix it. Not that it was because I messed up. To spend 12.5k on the kitchen and then having to argue about the wrong stuff. This is so UNPROFESSIONAL. I have never had a problem with Home Depot, but this is unacceptable. Now, the holidays are coming and I dont have a kitchen.

2022-05-06There is a young man by the name of Zachery that I go to anytime I have a question. Some of the other employees in this store and all other stores should observe and take lessons about what it is like be a professional. This guys knows exactly how to handle customers in a astute manner.

2022-06-06Tools are fine and prices decent (be careful tho, they automatically charge an insurance fee).But... terrible service. One slow guy and 10 people waiting. He refuses to ask for help. Been here half an hour to return a tool and no end in sight.

2022-06-28Note in buying plumbing fitting you willMost likely buy 2 fitting to do same as 1 in a plumber supply house so expect no savings. They intentionally do thisyet if buying a general item they sometimes have it.

2022-04-12They are very unfriendly. I broke my promise many times. I lost a lot of money and time. They cheat and steal your money. Contact HQ immediately if you experience any problems. I dont want to increase the number of victims anymore

2022-04-26I come here all the time, but wish there were other options. If you know what you want and can get it yourself, it’s fine. Customer service just isn’t a thing here.

2022-02-20Employee misinformed me. Its not consistent. The customer service desk often closed. Employee misinformed me at Deer Park, and gave misleading information. That my pro account, tax exempt was not updated. I went to another store the same day, I was told everything was up to date. The sales tax is not exempt when you travel to a job out of state. My job requires me to travel out of town for production work. 😩
