Paid to have a washer installed and the old one hauled away. The water supply hoses had a small amount of rust on them, so the associates refused to disconnect the old hoses. Apparently this is their policy. I had to disconnect the old one myself, and haul it out to the street. I also had to install the new one myself. Customer service was unwilling to compensate me in any way, and scheduled pickup of the old washer 15 days from the delivery date.This is the second installation from Home Depot for me. The first one, a few years ago, they installed an oven. Those associates ran the gas line through a stainless steel table leg, and then over-tightened the connector to the point that it stripped the fitting. The store gave me a free new hookup line and adapter after I complained. Again, I had to install it all myself. I dont think this store should offer installation, because they seem woefully incompetent. Im never buying appliances at Home Depot again.Poor installation policies, inept installation associates, and unsympathetic customer service that refuses to see how bad their installation services are.
This Location is horrible!! The workers are rude and give you mannerless and nonhuman attitude!!We asked a couple of workers for help and they ignored us! One worker told us where we can find the item we were looking for, and started walking towards that isle when he saw we followed him he turned around and cursed at us! We then noticed he didn’t even give us the right isle he was just playing with us! Bad experience!! I don’t recommend anyone to go there!!
The staff is not as helpful as they were. I was looking for weather stripping and the first person I asked told me to go to customer service, at customer service I was told to go to aisle 28, I returned to customer service and the young lady told me to go to aisle 15. She actually told me how to find the aisle as it is hidden. Home Depot should thank this employee since I was ready to give them only one star. They need to do better.
Not the best Home Depot experience... lights flickering, no carts at the door. Had to search for an employee to ask where a specific item was: Probably somewhere in hardware was the answer I got. After wandering around more, I found another employee who was a little more helpful and finally found the item, but ended up not buying it because it was overpriced and poor quality.Have returned several times since out of necessity, but prefer other Home Depot locations where staff seens friendlier... and where they check to make sure they arent trapping any customers inside the gates when they temporarily close an aisle!
The service/help at the Harriman store has always been good; however, today was exceptional. I needed two new items. The first associate asked another to take me too the areas, but I just needed him to send me in the right direction which he politely did. One of the items was a 50lbs bag and I asked another associate to put it in my cart which he did and told me someone would put in my car. The checkout person radioed for someone and quickly he came to my aid. In total I was assisted by 5 associates each of whom was pleasant and helpful.
Wanted a refrigerator for before Fathers Day. Was told the one I wanted would not be available by Fathers Day, so I bought a different one just so it would be on time. Was never delivered as promised, and was told it would be delivered the Thursday following Father’s Day (so I ended up purchasing a mini fridge in the meantime). Never showed on that Thursday. Was promised by Scott (the assistant manager) and Tony (the most mean, cold and useless store manager I’ve ever encountered), that I was on the delivery list for today. That was yesterday. Today I’m told I’m not on the delivery list and there is no delivery coming today. I’ve been without a refrigerator for a month. For all of this trouble, I could’ve purchased the appliance I originally wanted because neither were there for Fathers Day. The customer service at this location is non-existant. The store managers response is “what would you like me to do about it, we have no workers because of unemployment.” Give me a break, you should’ve mentioned that before I gave you $2,500! Tony refuses to give out a corporate or district managers telephone number, and apparently claims he is the “top” of Home Depot. This is customer abuse. I will shop at Lowe’s from now on where I’m treated like a customer, but first, I will harass this location until they follow through on their word. Live in Monroe 30 years. Terrible experience. Stay away from this location.
Customer service isnt very good. I dont know if its a New York thing or not but 4 out of 5 employees were rude as hell to me and another lady trying to purchase some stock items. So off to Lowes I went. I guess thats why I shop Lowes 99% of the time. You can get help from someone who wants to help a customer. May Home Depot doesnt train employees due to covid, who knows.
Nice place. mostly they have everything stocked. nice staff. The Order online and pick up in store option is very good and fast.The reason I give only 4 stars is because the waiting time at the registers are often very long and its not to blame the employees they just need more registers for bulk and lumber items and Quick check out for smaller items.Shopping carts also needs improvement there is enough of them but never handy at the entrance.
Had half of my delivery sent to my home last year i couldent get all materials delivered at the same time due to everyone being home during covid doing there decks that materials became sparse . Ok that was August. C alled homedepot and I talk to managers on the phone to correct it and they were wonderful came in yesterday to add extra to my delivery that partial delivery that I didnt get .Scott and Mike were terrific in helping deal with my matters in hand should have took stock 30 years ago would have been a rich man today thank you to all involved
The Home Depot is a huge store. Barely went through 30% of what they had to offer cos its that huge. I went there to purchase a bbq grill... Very wide selection and reasonably priced. Went there after work and you get to checkout yourself... Simple process but Id like to talk to someone still....Overall... Very nice easily accessible store.
Have been here several times and the staff has great communication to the degree that if you have a specific need from a specific department, theyll direct you to the most knowledgeable employee in that area of expertise. Ron was extremely helpful with my questions and needs in the plumbing department.
They called me in the morning and told me to come and p/u my order. When i showed up at the service desk in the afternoon I was informed that they can not locate my order and would i like my money back. I responded that I have traveled 30 miles to that location and all for nothing how come they called and told me to come in and now they insist that they do not have my order. After a few more minutes of back and forth they made a second attempt to locate my order. It took them at least 1/2 hour but finally they found it. Terrible disorganization. Otherwise they r okay
Its okay, can find some stuff, they dont have everything. Staff is mildly helpful, but easy to make returns.BEWARE BUYING PAINT - they may lose the license to sell colors, so if you paint your house a certain color and want to touch it up a few years later, they may not offer it anymore, even tho its just a dye formula. I had bought a popular ny team color from the team catalogue, and they dont offer it now, even tho it would be popular.
We have been using the home depot store in monroe for a while. Always great staff and customer service. But the reason I took a few minutes to go online and to write a review is because the new store manager Mr. Tony. What an honorable guy. Helpful and kind. Thank youHome Depot should hire few more Tonys and their stocks will go up like crazy 😀😀
My dad tried to fill up propane tanks elsewhere but wasn’t able to due to bad weather and ended up here. However, after not telling him the price, the man then proceeded to just order him to insert his credit card into the machine. While $24 may not be a terrible price, he was a little shocked to see the total price as $54 for just two tanks. Moreover, after being so rudely instructed, my dad wasn’t even able to get a receipt, even after he saw the salesman get it from another person. If you’d like to ruin your day, then come on down to this Home Depot; otherwise, don’t bother.
I have been to many home dopot locations and never found a branch that good taken care of it is allowed clean no stuff in your way fully stocked even with stuff that other locations will be out of thay will still have and the warkers are really nice and helpful, thay know there stuff and are always happy to help,

They have a great selection of products here. Recently I got nice cactuses for some of my coworkers here. They were in a nice container that had been in an owl shape, everyone loved them. It usually is easy to find someone to help you. The staff is always knowledgeable and willing to help.
The store is big and clean. My only issue was when I was checking out I felt like the two employees were staring at me like I was going to steal. Also showed her my license that states “veteran” and had my dd214 and she was a bit rude in explaining the next time I need to have my “military “ I.d. On me! Or I won’t get the discount. Will not return and would not recommend. Going to LOWES
Today I had to look for a new refrigerator went to this store after searching at other places and 2 very pleasant professional associates help me find the right refrigerator to fit my space . Thank you Venicia and Isabella for your patience and professionalism it was greatly appreaciated.
Not sure whats going on here... but suddenly everyone is so friendly. Theres finally a fresher, younger more diverse staff here who seem to have a better focus on customer service than what I noticed in some.of my past visits. Hopefully they keep making these intrtnsl improvements going forward.
Found what I was looking for, but I keep having an issue with not being able to do contactless checkout. Not sure if its the same thing at other HDs but this one it is. At self checkout, I always have to call over an associate who will tell me, we dont do Apple Pay. I am using Samsung Pay and it still doesnt work.It would be great for HD to consider contactless pay at their self pay registers.
Cant get enough, I always go there. Needed a new dryer, mine broke down, I decided I was getting a new one for $250. Everyone said it was impossible. I walk in and there on display a new dryer for $200! A beautiful modern machine! They said it lost its mate, the washer, so they were trying to get rid of it. I threw in the back of the car and drove it home. My family was shocked. I brought a house and Ive doing a lot of upgrades and this is my go to store for everything for my renovation.
The store has a pretty good selection, but like most large hardware stores, the staff can be hit or miss. Some staff are wonderful, others are impatient or not very knowledgeable.The worst thing that Ive experience at this (and most hardware stores) is when staff refuse to say the words I dont know. If I ask a question especially a more technical one, its perfectly fine for an employee to say I dont know, but whats not acceptable is for them guess or to waste my time telling me obvious things I already know. But thats certainly not unique to this store.Also, there seem to never be enough carts available for large items, and staff wont help you find one.That said, overall its a great place to find what you need. Theres also a bigger selection on the stores website which you can have shipped to the store for free, and if you sign up for the credit card you can get good coupons discounts.
They have lot of things but dont have good service,When looking for something in the store its hard to find a rap who knows where things are, also when ever I need something from the top shelve it was faster for me to drive to lowes in chester a 25 minute way to buy it there, rather waiting for someone to help me here in the Herriman branch
Thank goodness for small hardware storesGlad they’re still around that includes dollar stores that sell hardware items.This place has a lot of overpriced stock right down to the candy bars at checkout.I highly recommend checking out True value and others before stopping here.If i May also point out the staff has no clue on what they’re doing or knowledge of items people look for.
Went to buy a 1000.00 massage tub an employee with the name tag pistol pete suggested that I should be the one to grab the merchandise off the shelf I needed to remind him who is the customer and I didnt work for home depot ! That day I spent 1000.00 at home depot and an extra 3700.00 somewhere else.
I got my new windows with Home Depot. Their lifetime warranty means nothing if my phone calls and requests are ignored. They installed my windows incorrectly, water is getting inside my walls, and noone is doing anything about it! The only thing they did is take my money and ignore my phone calls.
It started off nice. The gentleman that assembled the John Deere riding mowers showed me the one that I was interested in. I only went in store this Memorial Day holiday because HD does not honor Veteran discount online and they just got in the one that I wanted. He took me up front so I could get rung up by Lisa. She was really nice and so was the new layout until she told me that they would not accept my VA Card the next time. Why? It’s a VA Card. It’s issued by the US Government. She said it was not red or blue. I have no idea what that means. Even other customers were commenting to me that this was pissing them off.The gentleman from the assembly area bring s me the rebate tow cart and specifically told me to call the local John Deere dealer to ensure i got the included white glove service. I did not get free delivery but becuase I was getting a bigger discount overall I was okay with that.I call John Deere, they know nothing about this service unless they deliver it. I contact HD back and they say that service is only for online orders.So now that Harriman Home Depot has lied to me I’m cancelling the order and will go thru Lowe’s to get the service and delivery I wanted even if I don’t get the military discount and pay more.
I wont be shopping here again. Have been a customer for several upgrades in my home and they simply have no idea what they are doing! They have messed up my order several times, they have delivered appliances dead on arrival, you name it. They refuse to take responsibility for products they deliver that do not function properly, so they automatically refer you to the manufacturer that takes weeks just to come out. Its a shame! If I could give it 0 stars I would!
Mid morning yesterday I ordered a riding mower from the Cortlandt Manor store, the app and website said it was in stock at Cortlandt and I could have it delivered the next day. I paid for a two hour window for it to be delivered 6am-8am.8:30am comes around. No delivery. Call the store. Wait on hold for 15 minutes. The staff say oh you did order it from our store but its actually coming from Monroe. Let us call Monroe and we will get back to you. They never call back.I call them back at 9:15a the person on the phone is very over worked and clearly doesnt care about my issue, uses my last name as my first name and joking around. I make it clear Im not in a joking mood. And they need to take this more seriously. They quickly do. They call the Monroe store. Oh yeah its ready to go it will arrive at your place around noon. And we will refund the $109 delivery fee.12:45p comes around still no delivery. I call my store again. They say let us contact the store and we will call you back I say Ill hold. Intermittent check ins with me over he next hour Im on the phone with them. Every time they keep asking for my order number. Theyve asked so many times Ive memorized it. They say oh it was ready to go but the driver didnt see it on the route so they did not pack it in the truck. They cant deliver it until tomorrow. I inform them this is completely unacceptable.On another very long hold...they finally come back with that store will put it on their truck and deliver it to you. It should leave in the next 30 minutes...and also do not call us again contact Monroe directly.So time will tell if the mower shows up soon and I have to deal with a whole new set of people who probably have zero history working on my order and reexplain the situation for the 25th time today. And the corporate support line just tells me to call the local store. As soon as Lowes opens Im never shopping at Home Depot again. This store is just awful and the Cortlandt Manor one is not great either. The staff are friendly but its clear they are over worked and have little power to fix something when a problem arises.
Very unknowledgeable staff, instead of helping, they just send you in a goose chase from one isle to another. Needed a simple compression fitting converted to a regular 1/2 thread. There associate first told me that I can only buy this from a propane company since its a special part(I didnt know propane companies also sold fittings as a side business), and when proven that there is nothing special about it, associate just told me that they dont sell it. Found it right where I stood after a little research on the size I needed. Few days later same story about a different part, but this one is on me, since I should of learned my lesson from the first couple of times. Home Depot, you need to better train your employees!
They need a zero star option. This store is the worst Home Depot i have ever been into. ( Middletown coming in a close second) The Manager at the Monroe store treated me like a criminal. Over a $30 return. You would think i was bring back a Car worth $30,000.He didnt like the ID i had with me and said i probably had forged it. Yes of coarse i spent days forging my passport so i could bring back this crappy tool i had only just bought. What a douche bag.The Middletown store would be a better option if you could find anyone to help you find things.If you have no other place to buy what you need try Newburgh Home depot. They seem to have actual staff you can find and who can help and who are not so nasty.
No service what so ever.Waiting for 20 minutes for someone to take off more wood cuz there is no more on the shelf. This guy is just just playing on his phone. Laughing around with other workers.Then at the checkout there is this short lady giving attitude like I did something extremely wrong.I hope there is a lows opening here anytime soon.They actually dont even deserve the one star either. I just cant post this without putting at least 1 star.Now while I typed this msg its already 30 minutes and still no one here. I asked 3 more people in between.THIS STORE SUCKS
We get 3-4 tons of pellets delivered every year from Home Depot. Because of space the pellets have to be stacked a certain way. The delivery person named Imron (I hope I spelled it right) was the BEST-BEST ever. He stacked the tons perfectly, super fast, no complaining and was just as nice as could be. He is a #1 employee and I hope you give him a raise! Many thanks for sending him.
Terrible cutomer service. I live locally and can go on forever, but most recently, I went looking for a tool storage cabinet . A man named Pete from hardware/keys?, went to check on the availability, upon returning he tells me the display was the only one left and told me I could buy it. I asked if I would get a discount (it had dents, scratches, wear and tear) he said $99, and I innocently said wow you can make that decision on the spot? mainly because I thought a managers approval was needed. The man cought and attitude, threw his hands up in the air, said something to the effect of it is what it is and walked away. Even if I were complaining, which I wasnt, this was a terrible response and even more horrific customer service. .
I have been waiting for 15 minutes now waiting to get keys made. Someone was supposed to come back an help me yet I am still waiting . Ok I need to change this review. Because I waited so long they gave me the keys. Thank you for making up for the wait. Not many places would do that.

2022-01-12My husband and I are remodeling our bathrooms. Weve been there several times yesterday and today to buy stuff for the remodel. From tiles for the floor and walls to today searching for an exhaust fan for the bathrooms. Wed like to thank Stephanie. She took the time out to search and find the item even in the middle of helping other customers. She was very thorough, knowledgable, very helpful, friendly and made sure you were completely satisfied. Even when the product was on the other end of the store and in a box she helped find the item when the other people I asked said its probably not in stock even though it listed the item in stock in multiple quantities. She made the point of finding it and I was able to purchase two of those items in addition to multiple toilets, multiple bathroom faucets, multiple shower sets, etc . We had to let you know what a gem of an employee you have. If every employee were like her every customer would be completely happy shopping in your store. She made shopping a complete pleasure and stress free in the midst of a remodel project which could be stressful in itself. Thank you Stephanie. We appreciate all your help. You are amazing!!!!

2022-05-14I waited for almost a month for Lowes to bring a washer and dryer only to go over to home depot and get it in 3 days great going home depot thank you very much in Harriman New York.Your delivery crew was above and beyond expectations.Very friendly crew I was so surprised thank you so much.

2022-06-09I had everything I wanted in my cart over $2000 that I wanted to go into the store and personally see the pieces in person, I asked two different Home Depot sales people on the floor if they can get me assitance in flooring they paged over the phone twice, after waiting 20 minutes each time total of 40 minutes I decided to call the store while being in the store and spoke to the manager Dee and advised her I was in the store waiting for assitance for her to tell me someone called out and a flooring guru would be able to assitance me in another 13 more minute wait.. no one came! I could not believe it will not be purchasing anything from Home Depot anymore!

2022-06-21Update your stock count. Regularly have issues with your site saying items are in stock. Multiple canceled orders. Waited for a mixed pallet to come down yesterday with bins and there were no lids to go with them. What a joke

2020-12-17The Home Depot is the best hardware store. The Home Depot has everything you need plus a bunch of stuff you dont but may need one day! I suggest you get out and go shop at the Home Depot and spend as much money as you can there, youll have everything you need and more! Thanks Home Depot!

2022-06-15The Home Depot at the Monroe location is always lacking sufficient materials, and this predates the pandemic and issues now. The pro-team is gone and it’s there as a stop gap between the lumber yard and Lowes.

2021-09-28This review is solely dedicated to Erica who works in the paint department at the Harriman location. She helped my husband and I choose colors for his NY Giants themed man cave. She also helped us choose the appropriate finishes. She went above and beyond. Her service was stellar! Photos to follow..
