Good selection. Made renting a Uhaul pretty quick and simple. Unfortunately, if youll need to find anything, youll have to hunt down an employee. I was directed to the wrong location to Times by two different people. That was 20 minutes wasted because its almost impossible to find an employee who is not already helping somebody or hiding. Eventually I asked someone in the kitchen department and even though it wasnt her Department she took the time to walk me all the way to the items I needed which was nowhere near what either of the other two people said. I guess I would say they just need more consistent and better staff training.
Kraftmaid cabinets showed up 15 weeks after we paid and they very fast fabricated and so uneven. Called Home Depot and they send Kraftmaid rep And rep said nothing comes perfect make it work They changed A few damaged door and mouldingsKraftmaid not worth the price Once you pay you are your own they now you can’t wait another 15 weeks
Don’t even think about shop at Home Depot period !!!!! In our house renovation we used loves , floor and decor and Home Depot and let me tell you something nothing worst than Home Depot… they screwed up several orders , they broke two orders and anything we bought came 6-10 days later than supposed to and not correct so that made it wait 3 times longer than original timeHome Depot Garbage !!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn’t take a chance even shopping at Home Depot. They fail to tell you about their return policy which includes denying your refund over a store credit. It’s not stated any where on their website nor is it stated on their receipt. I’m glad we have other options to shop at for example lowes! So good luck shopping there!!! Talk about WASTING MONEY!!
I used to go in there and everyone was so helpful and friendly...if I needed something specifically I went to this one woman Josephine in tools..she knew where everything was i. The entire store qmd was as friendly as can be! She must have retired, I havent seen her in a few years. Now people see you coming and they run in opposite direction..and if you catch them, they are nasty. I have been going to Lowes, I only go to home depot when absolutely necessary! My store was Patchogue.
Great place! Extremely helpful staff members. A few times, I purchased items from both stores in Jamaica, Queens, which were not of great quality, even though thats what I requested when I went to those places. But here, at Patchogue, staff members mostly listen to you and if they directly cant help, theyll get someone else who can! Love going to this place!!!
Attempted to order windows. Associate paged the expert. Nice guy but didnt exactly instill confidence in what I was ordering. I knew alot more about window installation than he did. All they can do is plug in the size of your rough opening and tell you a price. Going elsewhere.
Walked in looking for help with recessed lighting and ran into Marie. She was very kind, professional and helpful.She was very patient with me and answered all my questions.What would have taken me all day to figure out, was all figured out for me within 15 minutes.Thank you Marie, your the best 👍🏼
I love going to home depot I look items in while in the store on my app and it directs me to its location. If I cant find it I ask an associate and they locate it for me. When I dont know how to do a project with item I need they let me know other suggestions which might work better but you have to be patient because if the store is crowded it may take time. So I try to choose when its not peak.
I have lost count of the number of times the website stated there was plenty of stock for an item and then when I go to the store to pick it up, no one can seem to find the item or be bothered to look very hard. I was there today to purchase a container of pesticide and according the associate, they showed 47 of the item I was looking for, but of course, they could not find them. Keeping your inventory straight is not rocket science, but it may as well be with these folks. The Bellport store is much more competent and reliable.
Garage door installers are the worst! Never dealt with such unhelpful people. Better door company is the name of Home Depot installation. Was told door was ordered, 4 weeks later not ordered, come for measurements and wouldn’t wait ten minutes to put up a piece of wood, they came earlier than the time they told me so they had plenty of time. So fed up with it I canceled the door, but have to pay $75 to cancel it. Ridiculous, will never special order through them ever againOn another note the rental part is great and helpful, and the store is usually fine. But lately they are out of stock on common stuff
I purchased kitchen cabinets in December 2019 I was told 10 weeks that turned into 18 weeks and so far home depot measured wrong I returned I received the wrong cabinets I had two return 3 because they were broken and 2 because they were the wrong size! I had to pay my installer 3 extra days pay and Im had to reorder 4 cabinets! So you tell me how you think my 10th visit to home depot for the same reason went this morning!!!!
The Home Depot punishes a great bunch of customers because of the bad things that a bunch of thieves do and that’s not right. I stopped going to Home Depot because suddenly they stopped taking back things that I bought extra during COVID19 pandemic worst time, in order to avoid multiple trips out of my home. No more Home Depot for me. Lowe’s will took back whatever I bought that I did not use and no receipt needed. Got my store credit and continue buying from Lowe’s.Except for a few exceptionally great workers at Home Depot, it appears that the majority of their crew hides not to be available to the consumer. Bad business all around. It’s too bad, I don’t understand what happened to Home Depot??
I go to Home Depot just about every day. I go to two different locations depending where I am working. Today I was disappointed when I was looking for lumber and asked an associate for help and he directed me to the location the lumber was. Normally lumber is grouped together in dimensional sizes,, but this was not the case.. There was only two damaged pieces left. I was disappointed when he saw me coming back towards him and walked away. I decided just to leave the store and had to get my lumber from another place.It was is easier to drive to a competitor which is always close. Just disappointing 😕.
Not a fan of self checkouts. I like to interact with the checkout person. There was also a solar rep there today who was both creepy and overly aggressive. Not what I want to deal with when shopping at Home Depot. Otherwise, my trip was good and I got almost all of what I was going for.
This is the home Depot that I usually go to in my area.they usually are. I just about everything you needed like every other home Depot. And if you need something they can order it and have it delivered to you or you can pick it up in the store. The majority of the staff is very helpful with just a few random bad examples. Otherwise they have everything that you would expect from a home Depot. Shopping center is located in also has a great gym next door called LA fitness as well as a Best buy thats just a few hundred feet down the road. Theres a McDonalds also close by and a hot dog truck on the highway when you leave. An awesome experience never been to this home Depot definitely will drive back out here just to go they had everything I needed well-kept and clean as well as great staff dont really go to home Depot. Needed a little bit more help than others and they were awesome Nick and Geroad
I have chosen to give five stars based on the work of one young man who sure knows good customer service. I have purchased the vent covers in your store and wanted to pick up a few more. I could not remember in exactly which aisle they were in, I thought it was plumbing or paint. I asked one associate who knew what I was speaking about but did not know where they were. He asked two gentleman who had me in the wrong area of the store, trying to tell me that they move things all of the time. I finally looked down an aisle and asked Troy where they were and guess what? He knew and took me to the exact location where they were kept. There was only one package and it was damaged so I was a bit skeptical about making the purchase. He cheeked the contents and even offered me a discount. In a world where good customer service seems to be on a decline, I am glad to have worked with Troy. Kindly thank this young man in your next worker appreciation meeting. Thanks, Troy.
I just recently moved to Holbrook from Commack and was used to the Commack store. The first few times visiting Patchogue Home Depot was a bit frustrating. It was seemed to have been impacted harder with respect to inventory than Commack, just couldnt find what I was looking for every time I went. Today was a different story. The store looked great, stocked. I found everything I needed quickly and easily. Staff was helpful and considerate.
I gave the Patchogue Waverly Avenue Home Depot a five star because when I was there today there was experienced people that help me out directed me to the correct aisle and also there was a Home Depot person there to help me out very nice person. When I got to the building area with the cashier I remember her name was Mary she was really a nice person I had an excellent time shopping in the Patchogue Home Depot.
Everything takes very long to find. It seems like the don’t follow the model of any other store which makes it very difficult for customers to find stuff. The staff is Rude and not very friendly . The cashier process takes very long they seem to hire a lot of younger people which don’t really care about the job. If you happen to have a return like I did it was a complete nightmare they call to managers and they could not figure out how to help me. Corporate would do well to visit them on the west so they could fire half of the store. The parking lot it’s always dirty paper empty boxes and the likes. Shopping carts make it impossible for anyone to find a comfortable parking place. The bathrooms are nasty unclean. The garden department it’s a complete disaster stuff everywhere open boxes lack of good products. Would not recommend.
Home Depot was great in having the electrical switch i ordered.However, as my husband and I walked away from the desk, my husband jokingly told a woman arguing on the phone to put on her mask. And we walked away. The woman hunted us down in the Halloween department to lace into my husband as if he was the one wrong because he said something. Which got another male customer yelling at my husband while she quietly walked away. Yet, my husband was the one asked to leave. NOT ONE HOME DEPOT EMPLOYEE SAID A FREAKING WORD TO THE 2 PEOPLE IN THE STORE WITHOUT MASKS ON. Sorry but I thought they were MANDATORY!!
The past week I have had the worst customer service at home depot in patchogue there help loading inventory on vehicles is terrible they are very slow and just say they are very busy even during a weekday. I am writing a review in regards to there assistant store manager Deborah who was extremely helpful today and made sure my delivery was on time she was very helpful and understanding and has excellent customer service skills after speaking with three other associates she came through and got the job done.
Went to get propane and the lady had the mask under her nose. But they wont let you in unless you have a face mask. Went to tell customer service and they had the mask under their nose. Management comes and as Greg is talking to me 3 of his employees walk by with the mask under the nose. His excuse is that they work for 8 hours with the mask??? Guess home depot is the type of store that really doesnt care about the customers.
Placed my order for 4 prehung doors on 9/10/19. Got a call from Home Depot on 10/24/19 that every single door arrived very damaged and cant be picked up. I asked how they could remedy this and they said they can place the order again. I was thinking theyd be able to expedite this and get me doors in a week. They told me the lead time would be exactly the same and Id have doors in mid-December. Safe to say Ill be ordering Masonite doors and wont be using Home Depot to get them. Lumber yards lead times are 1 week by the way for these same exact Jeld-Wen doors. Wish I knew.
I have had great expierences at this store in the past. I recently saw Rick (I believe that was his name) in the doors department to see if my door came in. He was very condescending and unable to help tell me if a shipment of stock doors came in. I did not have my account information for the order as I was in the store for another reason. He said he could look it up by my phone number. After providing him the information he asked if I had already paid for the door, which I told him I had not. Rick then threw his hands up in the air rudely laughing and stated he would be unable to give me this information until I paid. I had been there previously with Kris who was wonderful and helpful. When I saw her earlier in the week she asked for my name and was able to pull up my account on the computer and pull my folder with no problem. I do not reccomend seeing Rick in the doors department, however the other staff seemed very pleasant and helpful.
Love Home Depot most of the staff is very helpful.Everything is usually in stock or a neighboring store. Repairs are pretty fair. Garden department in there stores carry almost everything. Electrical department equally as good same for plumbing. Return policy is very fair.
Purchases $2500 worth of appliances 2 weeks ago from this location. When I received my fridge I was in happy with the size, its very small and can not fit the amount of items I need. I called and spoke to a manager named cliff who was absolutely no help I was told nothing can be done. So how is this possible I buy a product, Im not happy with the product that I just spent of $1,000 on and Im told Im stuck with it. All I wanted to do was exchange it for a bigger one. Well Home Depot will never get any of my business every again. Ive spent thousands of dollars over the years at this location and they will never get a penny from me every again. Absolutely horrible customer service.
Looking for a place with great customer service? Skip this Home Depot!!!! God forbid there is an associate available to help. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt once but to go 3 times for the same thing and never get assistance is ridiculous. This is the reason everyone shops online!!!!!!
An employee at this store caused us significant inconvenience and expense. We took a painted sample to them to get custom-mixed paint (a light yellow/cream); when they gave us the can of paint, I noticed that the swatch of paint she painted on top of the can and then blow-dried was very white which didnt make sense since we needed light yellow. I pointed that out and she said it needs to dry. We drove almost an hour to the store and then another hour back, had someone paint the walls, only to realize after it dried that they gave us white paint. I dont quite understand how they can hire someone so irresponsible and/or poorly trained in a very important position.
If you want help with anything in this place, don’t bother because you won’t get it. By the time you get a hold of someone, which takes forever, that person has no idea about the items in the section they’re working. I needed simple items in the plumbing department but needed help with sizes. The guy didn’t even know what a tee valve or quick disconnect are. He said the store wouldn’t have them. WHAT??? I said we’re standing right in front of them. He goes on to tell me that he’s not a plumber by trade. I said I’m a regular female and I know more than you do! Seriously, this place is a joke. Not to mention that it’s a mess and everything is in the wrong places. Needless to say, I walked out. Home Depot has really gone down the tubes. Go to Lowe’s
I was looking for a hanging exterior lighting fixture. They only had 2 varieties in the entire store. I found a salesperson right away. She immediately found the fixture in the computer and offered to order it for me. Im disappointed that I couldnt see it in person. I went online to see if any fixtures could be found in nearby stores and no hanging fixtures are in stock in any stores. Very disappointing.
Shopping at home Depot is always a good experience. Im always confident buying items even though at times I might buy the wrong item and might not fit or not even use it.I just bring it back and get credit, with no hassle what so ever.. I would definitely recommend shopping at Home Depot!!!!
I rented a carpet cleaner from this location, returned it in the same condition i picked it up in. A store employee said shes never seen a carpet cleaner returned in this condition, she needs to bring it to the back to make sure its not broken and gave my employee a hard time, on top of that charged a $25 fee for cleaning. I called the manager that day and told them what happened and they said they would take care of the fee dont worry about it. 1 week later i still had no refund for the fee on my home depot credit card. i called home depot to make a corporate complaint and they got the store manager Amanda on the phone and she said she was so sorry and happy to take the fee off. Now here i am again 3 weeks later calling because i still have no refund. I now and speaking with a manager Ashley who said she would speak with the manager who oversees rentals and get a call back about my refund status. Still waiting for that call....
Its like all other Home Depots. Its seems to be clean (or as clean as anyone could hope for this type of store). Staff was ok and again, nothing special compared to other Home Depots. Good for home construction but not as customer friendly feeling as Lowes. Seems to be aimed more for contractors and professional remodelers/carpenters.
This is by far the worst home depot on the planet. Ive never ever had a good experience shopping here yet i keep coming back because its around the corner from my house. Waiting 25 minutes for someone to replace my propane tank was the last straw. They wouldnt even answer the store phone as well so i could tell them Im out there still with my crying 2 year old. Forget about LARGE purchases also. Besides never getting anyone to help you with cabinets or flooring (both of which i have done from here), they then have attitudes to the point you need to only deal with a manager. Then what? Here is 10% off. Honestly... keep your 10%. Keep the whole thing. I will go out of my way to go to another HD or better yet, lowes.
I have been trying to reach the shipping and receiving department for over a week now. It seems that you guys do not like to answer the phone. Im just wondering how this store is ran when nobody answers the phone. I dont even want to give you guys one star but I have to in order for this review to post. I even stayed on the line waiting for ANYBODY to answer the phone so maybe I could speak to a manager.......15 MINUTES LATER........NOTHING? Do better.

Pretty inattentive to customer service. Was in store for about 30 minutes, not one associate asked if i needed assistance. I normally go to the bellport home depot, from when i walk in door they ask if they can help. Its a good place if you know exactly what you need and where it is. Other than that, take the extra 10 minutes and go to bellport.
Home Depot is a place where you find most of the materials and hardware for your building projects, but you never find a store associate when you need one, they must be drinking coffee and chit-chatting in the back of the store, typical of these type of employees. They could hire more legal immigrants , because they are more eager to work then these people that do whatever they can to pass the 8 hours fast as possible. I hope the online businesses grow, so they can put less and less these type of employees in the stores. Also, I hope in the future they can get specialised robots to replace them.
I dont care what they say about Home Depot killing local hardware stores. They offer so much, and its all at a great price.I did have a salesperson today who seemed completely out of it, but he still ended up being very helpful.The one problem: Their batteries are waaay overpriced. Like ridiculously overpriced. By that stuff on Amazon. Dont get tempted by the duracell name brand, and the energizer are even worse. Buy rechargeable if at all possible. $10 for two 9 volts is highway robbery.
The employees blocked chairs that were on clearance, and then as I started to grab one, they all took some and walked away with them. WTF. If you want them fine. Grab one each and put in back, but really....A pack of workers standing in front of them, and then distract you and grab em before you have a chance to decide how many you want. Thats just plain rude.
Ask 2 associates for help and both kind of just mumbled and walked away. No help what so ever. Didnt find what I was looking for even though the app said there was 26 in stock. All these stores are getting new registers basically set up so the customer does everything themselves. I guess that means locating merchandise by yourself.
We special ordered a 42 door for a home purchase down south. Unfortunately, the door was damaged during delivery. We had no choice but to take it as we are heading to the property tomorrow. We are not happy about that but the two gentlemen who came to curbside pickup could not have been nicer. We have no complaints about the service or employees; we are just unhappy with the condition of the door when we got it.
I been shopping at home depot stores for about 8 years, i gave them a lot of business and is a shame how an employee from the pro desk gives the wrong information about a sell, i call him 2/3/20 to buy a Milwaukee m18 12.0 battery that was on sell $199 and milwaukee was giving a m18 8.0 battery for free and the guy told me that the sell was over 2/2/20, i was at the bellport location and they still had the sign it said 2/3/20, so he lied, i asked him if i can paid over the phone and he said no because it will only come out at the register, i was in 3 different home depot and the run out, i was at Jericho home depot 2/3/20 but they didnt have it either, but the thing that really got me was that i spoke to the manager at the patchogue location with the pro desk guy and they told me its nothing that he could, its really a shame, am not shopping at home depot ever again. I wish i ask them their names
The person who came to help me with a runner rug complained about her getting stuck with helping with runners every time. She did not have the proper scissors or utility knife to cut the runner. When I ended up realizing it was not the right width, she copped an attitude and I put the runner back on the roll. Not happy with the customer service there, or lack there of.
Its a great store and great helpful employees..but over the past year or so the number of employees is going down and self checkout machines have moved in. Now you are hard pressed to find an employee to help you if you need something..and even when you do find one there will be 4 other customers on them already...shame on the corporate for cutting down jobs and increasing workload for those lucky enough to still work there
4/27/2019 I went to Home Depot in Patchogue today to buy 6x6x8 foot railroad ties. They were in the bottom of the rack. I didn’t see them so I asked a worker where they were. He said over there and then came over and pointed them out. He then walked away and continued his conversation with a co-worker and the two men watched me load 5 railroad ties onto a cart WITH THE HELP OF MY WIFE. Home Depot used to be known to help customers. What type of men would watch a woman lift heavy railroad ties onto a cart?
Well with the covid scenario you have wait outside and they close to early. Dont go there if youre working two jobs and/or you have an emergency definitely not. You need to go to the Ghetto location in Central Islip where you just need some kind of facial covering best way. Otherwise Patchogue gets 5 stars. The Ghetto gets 4 plus when you get used to it just sharing thx.
Im a pro customer and always come here to buy what I need for my projects because is the closest , however when you ask for help you are on the wrong place, employees have bad attitude and not willing to help, good place to buy but avoid talking to workers. From now on I will have to go to lowes.
Total joke on matching a dewalt drill that ace hardware and Lowes have on sale this week for $89.00 home Depot wants $129.00 so I put the drill kit back and told the lady at the desk Ill take my business to Lowes or ace Costello hardware for now on and save myself on the same drill kit $40.00 that home Depot wouldnt match. No skin off my nose as I dont mind walking out and driving a couple miles to save $40.00
Went in the store trying to find a rubber grommet for a project Im working on. When looking for assistance one man gave me rude remarks then started to question if I had even known what a grommet is, the other was very helpful and directed me to where the product was.

2022-02-06Nicest people all the time, every time I visit this Home Depot. Very helpful employees, a lot of items in stock Always. Love the garden department also.And today an employee named Muffin (real or nickname) was extremely generous to me today when I really needed that. No small deed ever goes unnoticed or forgotten. 2022-04-23I placed an online order with next day delivery. The window for delivery was 6 Am to 8 PM. I called the store that morning to see if they could give me an idea as to where I was on the delivery schedule. They could not, but I was told my order was picked up and it was on its way to me. At 5:45 PM I received an email stating that they could not complete my delivery for some ambiguous reason. I called the store to ask why and was told that the order was still sitting in their store. I was asked if I would like to reschedule delivery. I told them to cancel my order. Im not going to sit around for 14 hours waiting ever again. Ill buy what I need from Lowes

2022-05-28Please dont buy big appliances from home depot. Their return policy sucks. You have to report any damage within 48 hours. After that you cannot return the item. I had very bad experience recently. Please be careful when buying any big appliances...

2022-06-12What is this return policy of no receipt and no credit card means you cant return a product you bought there? My friend bought a bag of specific nails in NJ for a project at my house and forgot them. So i told him i would bring them back. But this new policy makes me dislike this chain even more. I stopped going there 2 years ago due to the lack of service, broken products on shelves and never having what i needed in stock. This just confirms i was right in going to other chains and loval stores that appreciate customers.

2022-06-25The worst place I have ever visited. Extremely unqualified staff. I went there to pickup an area rug which was 10 x 14 in dimensions. The whole staff of customer service was unable to find this huge package. They themselve gave me a courtesy call a day before that the article has arrived and it is ready for pickup. I spend 45 minutes there and finally decided to leave the facility as the whole staff of this location was unable to locate where they have stored it.Home depot... with this kind of customer service, I have no doubt what your future is going ro be.I have cancelled my order and told them I will never make any purchase with home depot ever again.

2022-03-08Wife and I purchased a washer and dryer and it is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I hadnt heard from them so I called the store to ask for information about the delivery such as time window. The guy that answered the phone was super rude and unprofessional. He talked over me and was very abrupt with his dialogue... which is unusual with customer service Ive dealt with there and anywhere. Wish I had gotten a name, but he hung up too quick (shocking).
