The Home Depot in other cities:
Just went in to buy some light bulbs and the HD associates are very helpful. Everyone is making sure everyone is being help. This is the reason I always come back to THIS HD since I dont have to go to any other HD.( That doesnt mean the other HD is not good, it just means I havent gone to the other HD. )
Veronica managing the self checkout kiosks is one of the most anti-Semitic people working here. Im appalled that she would not allow me to look up my tax exempt ID using my phone number zip code just simply because of my race. Extremely disgusting not to mention I am a veteran.
Stopped in on Easter Sunday looking for medicine cabinets. Of course the cabinet we wanted was not located in stock below the display. There were no orange vests anywhere to be seen. We went to the paint counter where they paged someone to assist but that led to another 10 minute wait.Along wandered William with his orange vest and a stack of papers, immersed on another task but was kind enough to stop to assist. He literally dropped what he was doing to assist us (he left his papers in the overhead storage when he pulled the item we were looking for. Did I mention that he dropped what he was doing to retrieve a ladder to climb up to check for us??My thanks to William and others like him who make the world a better place (well, at least a weekend visit to Home Depot!)
Similar to.ther home depot places that do offer servoces and have lots of parking and many amenities for customers. As far as help there are people but not so many to choose from you need to wait to fond some one to.find. lots of parking. Lots of items to choose from and to buy. Would come again and recommend it to others.
Its an ok place.. if you need help looking for something might as well search for it yourself because either theres not one worker around or you have to chase one only to turn the corner and they vanish or you have the customer service section in which you have to wait on a line just to ask wheres whatever item your looking for
Love The Home Depot. Great staff, lots of parking, good variety and great clearance. My only issue after being a card holder for so long and recommending their service they have changed the hours for truck and tool rental to 8pm even though they close at 10pm. The price is still the same though they reduced the hours. Not very happy about this at all.
Home Depot has a parking lot and long hours. The cashiers are friendly. It goes down from their. The stock on the shelves is problematic, because it appears to be the victimized by frequent shoplifting. The prices are so-so. Staff knowledge is inconsistent in the products.
Do not.. under any circumstances.. attempt to call this specific store customer service to speak to an agent. Its a joke. You wait half an hour on hold after the machine transfers you then the agent picks up just to put you back on hold for another half an hour till you give up.
Ive been there hundreds of times. There is never anybody there to help you when you need help. One time I had to wait 40 minutes while the only person who knew hardware was eating lunch. A far cry from the TV commercials, where a smiling, knowledgeable salesperson is always there to help.
My last visit here was pre-covid (over 2 years ago), and there were some noticeable changes, especially at the checkout section with fewer stations but wider lanes for social distancing. My random perusal of aisles showed plentiful stock on the shelves at my local HD store, and the public restroom is still available (which is always a plus). The local eatery closed, so you cant get your grubs from there anymore.I searched online via the HD website to locate the correct aisle for the item I needed to buy, and the product was right where the website indicated. Easy in, easy out. A+++
Beware of slow checkout process, especially when its busy due to incompetent or inefficient management. My experience was that there were 3 employees assigned to assist the self checkout lanes, which only 4 of 8 were allowed to be used, despite nothing wrong with the other 4, and on top of that, 2 of the 3 employees were busy chatting to themselves, whilst their entire purpose was to only direct the line for self checkout. What a joke.
I just bought over 500$ on items that I needed for the house. Including a solar light and a drill set I got home open the drill to put it to charge but it came with out the charger. So the drill set it got no purpose of having it. I when to open the solar light and the solar light came with out the part that get installed to the wall kit. I try to call cause I just got home it been less than a hour I been on the phone trying to reach customer service over 30 minutes and no one pick up.. But there is a phone with no one to pick it up and there aint a website where you could get in contact with them. Is like they are trying to prevent the dealing with customer after they take your money. Waist of time waist of money waist of useless item that are not completed I wish there was a half star. They dont deserve a full star.
Worst home depot service today. I got two toilets picked up at this location. Both were defective. And i ended up taking them for exchange or return. This is fine and understandable. The worst part of all these is that I wanted to exchange one of the toilet. I waited there for ONE hour and nobody from the plumbing department to help me get the toilet from the shelves. And nobody SHOWED UP. I left the store because need to return to work.I went back again three hours later. Same thing happened again. No body showed up even after asked five times through different employees.
WASTE OF TIME: And they bemoan the rise of e-commerce and the death of brick-and-mortar retail...but its a waste of time traveling here only to find less variety than even a discount store! How many tens of thousands of square feet in this location -- and only two varieties of neoprene gloves...95% of which are in Small?!?! Dont guys come here at all for gloves???
We only visited today to pick up some more solar Christmas decor, which they had. But we bought a few succulents while we were there because they had such a wide variety. And as we were preparing to head to checkout, one of the employees saw what we had in our cart and offered us a box to use. Very pleasant experience overall.
While I have definitely had some great experiences coming here today was not one of them. This Home Depot has had a serious issue in the past with being discriminatory towards woman. Well apparently it’s back because you can’t walk in certain entrances when it’s raining so the white male security guard can feel superior while you gotta walk in the rain. Please hire people who aren’t rude like that. It’s not necessary and I can take my business to the other Home Depot or better yet Lowe’s.
I went to buy some supplies, one of the staff was very helpful he came down off the ladder and walked me 4 isles away from what he was doing great! However, I had to wait an hour and a half to get one piece of wood cut. I was informed only one guy can cut it and hes busy at the moment. Busy! , I heard them calling this guy 3 times over the com, Busy! The line got longer and two guys show up to get panel cut and they stood along with me as well only to be told we dont cut it here in this section, what! , and they walked around the store as well waiting........,,, the other guy and Construction to do on a clients home and the client was calling his cell like a angry wife he was waiting 45mins behind me......So I enjoy my day met and greet. So when I did get home , the cutting was off by and in. Smh........
The home depot of this location has been engaging predatory towing with their partner in crime, Queens Auto Towing Corp. The company have spotters waiting at the Home Depots parking lot and extort a towing fee from the customers. Heres how they violate the law 1) They demand CASH ONLY. Why? So the owner could evade taxes? Every company is required to accept cash or at least two major credit cards. 2) Once you agree to pay the ransom for your car, they show up in 2 minutes. The towing driver was not actually towing your car but hiding it probably a block away. By law they are required to leave your car in a storage garage. I urge every customer of this Home Depot at Flushing, NY to file a complaint against this company via Department of Consumer or Affairs, and the victims can file police reports too.
Home depot products are good Staff is NiceBut one thing I want to share if some one broke into your VAN and steal around $10,000 tools. Home depot even dont show you the video.Few days ago I was buy some material for one of my job and when I came our of the store I found some one broke the lock of my VAN and stool all my tools.I request the Home depot staff to see me the video so I can quickly see around for the theif.Any way today I am again going to same Home depot to buy new tools.
Should learn some southern hospitality and common sense. AN EMPLOYEE helped me at self check out, was immediately harassed and stifled by Indian woman security guard that wouldnt let me out the doors until I showed her a receipt. Anyone that knows their rights, go about your business and pay them no mind. Bless their hearts.Other times, the employees are merely hanging or hiding around the store with no care to help. Typical New York experience.
One of the worst shopping experiences that I’ve ever had in my life; never enough people to even ask for directions in the store, let alone help. I waited for a long time to get help with something after I waited a while for someone to call the person who is the helper in the isle and area I needed help with ; then , I knew more about what I needed help with than the person who helped me and better yet they didn’t even say any new info ; and the store is dirty and disorganized and the worst part I ordered an item and paid for to be picked up by my contractor and when he picked it up they said they don’t have it anymore so then I had to go to another Home Depot to find something and that place 90% of their display was discontinued so every time I picked and item to order with the person there as he looked into he computer he said there weren’t any or it’s discontinued and this went on for hours and I can just keep going on about the bad experience in this Home Depot and the one in Manhattan on 3rd avenue so I ended up going to another store with excellent service and huge selection ; one of the stores near the flushing Home Depot for all my remodeling needs
WORST EXPERIENCE here. I ORDER 92 boxes of tiles and when I arrived for pick up they were messing 16boxes. One of the boxes broke and another two were different color. They told me it’s the computer fault. It’s even worth one star. I told they should deliver 66 of them and I would take the rest of them. They told me okay but they’re going to charge me delivery fee. So after hr of waiting taking to the manager they said they will waive it off.three days later the guy delivers only 42 on paper. He told me call them, I called them and they told that I ordered 66 and they refund only the 4 I didn’t receive. And the other 16 I didn’t order. FOR GOD SAKE DONT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE. They would comply with you and service is the worst time of my life and now the tiles u got are uneven sizes,
The staffs here are more customers friendly than the other nearby store. The Pro line cashier rung up my purchase even through she just closed the line. When I need help, the staff get right on the intercom to summon help. The checkout lines are monitored, and staff direct you to the open line, so check out is pretty quick.
Expensive compared to Lowe’s and next door small vendors. And now, they won’t even accept return without a receipt. Luckily for me, I only had fire extinguisher from my business renovation to return, which I can also keep for my new house, but no more material from Home Depot anymore. No longer reliable.
Well organized with great staff. I placed a huge online order to be picked up at the store. Everything arrived on time and was well packaged. The staff was amazing. Got great help from Jessica, Vivian, and Shakeema.. Everytime I had to pick something a different person helped but they were all extremely helpful.
Nobody in the cement area to help out. When I asked the associate to help me, he told me to do it myself. He was standing at the door chitchatting with his Chinese customer. It was last Saturday. Finally, I got a custom volunteer to give me a helping hand and he told me it was quite heavy.
Good overall. Had one thing I was looking for, but not the other. The new self pay kiosks should have contactless payment options and eventhough the barcode scanner is good, I can only imagine how many people touch them throughout the day. I dont see them being cleaned either.
I had to go to both stores, College Point and Flushing in an attempt to get some plywood cut to a size I could fit into my car. Again the lumber department let me down. Both stores had signs on their saw which read out of order. When I ask how long theyve been out of service, I was told for weeks. This was not only a waste of time today but this was the third time in the past year Ive been disappointed by both stores inability to perform this simple service. Ive given these stores good reviews in the past but three times to fail at the same service.
Bought an Anderson 3000 series storm door. My impression it was well made, was a mistake. Step by step instructions prevent you from seeing the big picture until all of the pieces are put together. The screen was undersized, the upper and lower frames were bent and would not fit in the door. So I called Anderson, its now 2 weeks and the parts are again delayed.I am not happy!
What is there not to love about the Home Depot? This is one of very few stores that tries to accommodate all of your needs, (especially all of your building needs in one location).I love the fact that Home Depot is not just for the men, its also for the for the ladies and the wives that want to do improvements to the environment at home. 😁 Home Depot maybe should have been called Home Care. But then people would probably think that it was a nursing service or at home care for elderly folks. 😂 The Home Depot does not just include your home to be part of your home but also your surrounding areas: the plants, your garden, your decorations, even down to your welcome home mats. They have tools that are very job specific. An example to this would be their varieties of sanders. They have many kinds to suit many different needs. They also group the tools available by each manufacturer. It is very visually appealing to see the tools displayed as one family!! So if youre walking by a set of tools and you have one or two pieces of it, most likely nine times out of ten, theres going to be another tool that youd want to add your collection. 🔧🔌🔋🔨🚪😀
They have a wide selection of things you would need for any project, the only issue is that the employees arent really helpful unless you absolutely know where the item is. I asked three employees for the location of a item, one told me another employee would come guide me to it but never arrived. Eventually had to search a similar item on the home depot website along with some googling to find out where the item I wanted was.
Very well organized and well stocked. The workers were very friendly and helpful. I like the Home depot app , it tells you where everything is and in what isle you should go to . The checkout counter was not crowded at all. The only thing I didnt like was the parking lot. Very crowded and very busy
I visited the store today to buy fridge I never expected this worse customer service ever before in my 30 years I walk in appliance section to look for some help I saw lady name Grace putting her bag in drawer I approached her and ask if I can get some help to my surprise she screamed at me and said don’t you see I just got here again I ask her maybe you can get someone else to help then she again screamed at me and said didn’t I just tell you I am not ready to work yet you go find someone else to help you I ask few other associates to help me one told me to go to customer service other told me to go ask another person one other told me to go in office in back of store finally after 25 minutes of running around I got help it was a nightmare kind of worst customer service experience no one can tell me where the manager David is .They just looked at me like why I am asking for him
Not all of them, but...The two employees I met were very unpleasant. Wait for my turn. There was one in front of me, but he called me in and sent me to another line, but I said, I said its hard to pay by bar code. With long fake eyebrows, she began to scream. All I have to do is get a bar code. Whats the problem? Its a cash-only place.I said, I said I was going to pay with cash, and you said you didnt ask me first if it was a card or a cache.I screamed and said the same thing as a parrot.I asked you what number the moving box was, and you answered me with no sincerity.I asked 2 more times.I dont know where it is.I feel like I ruined my day.
Either go up the street to Nelco Hardware, or further down the boulevard to the fully stocked and serviced HD.Not much variety on the shelves. Not much help on the floor. When the store was empty, I still had to wait over 20 minutes to find someone willing to help. I was still advised to buy a previously returned, and broken item that obviously didnt work. This was on a Sunday and Nelco was closed, so I ended up going down the street to the fully stocked Home Depot and got quick service and the right part. The only reason to come here is for gardening supplies.
They generally have normal people prices on their products, compared to the Midwest. Good selection and decent website....it does the locations of the products. Their aisle numbering is a bit confusing but not all that bad. Their customer service area for online orders is located right at the front door and the staff was helpful and friendly nice store overall.
Worst service ever .two weeks to install a stove.the stove was drop 2 weeks ago.it took 1 month. We also order a new fridge. The guy that came he didnt want to bring the fridge in to the apt and he didnt want to do his job.the domican guy .The last guy who came very different he did his job .thank you to the centro american guy.
I once worked for Home Depot sometime ago for many years, in various different departments. This location is, by far, the worst location I’ve Ever had the displeasure of going to and I worked at over eleven stores. The complaints I have can fill a page but I’ll use my most recent experience as the highlight of this review. I went in for a key, a relatively simple process and it’s painless usually, as long as you have some one to work the machine. Well... twenty five minutes later and many associate in sight with many a page on the intercom for assistance, I cut my key myself. After all, it has been ingrained in all associates to use the key machines in the store to assist the customer. But I guess not at this location? Only after I was done cutting my key did someone come only to ask me what I was doing. Good job guys! I saw the manager as I was checking out at the self checkout area but I know reviews online would have more of an impact. Thanks for nothing I suppose...
This Home Depot has horrible customer service. They will not have tiles you are looking for. Come here, expect disinformation and horrible customer service.I came here looking for particular type of tile. The tiles are mislabeled. So you find a tile you like on the wall, and then look for the shelf for the same number and letter. Is it there? Nope. You ask someone with a Home Depot apron. They inform you that they do not work in that section. They point you to the desk.I go to the desk and the Home Depot worker is helping another family. Ok, sure. Can she direct you to someone that help? She points to her coworker. The coworker sits and talks to his friend who doesnt work there while you wait. After a while, one Home Depot employee gets up, looks for the tile.He tells you that the other Home Depot location (Woodhaven) had 40 square feet of the tile that you are looking for. He tells me that they were just not interested in helping me.Oh great, that doesnt help at all. Then the same Home Depot employee scoots down the aisle, pretending to look at the tiles. He disappears. No good bye, good luck. No, sorry I cant help. Have a good day.Who taught anyone how to communicate at this location? No wonder all the contractors warn me about buying from Home Depot.Come here and expect Home Depot to waste your time. You will not leave with the right materials.
Purchased 12 boxes of plank flooring and picked it up at the store. Some of the boxes came with missing pieces. One of the boxes came with two that had been cut short and used. I went to the store in exchange for new ones, one of the cashiers blaming me that I cut it short and saying I don’t have to lie about it..
Overall the Flushing Home Depot has improved over a period of time. People at Customer Service/Returns are great. The flooring department, especially the guy who proclaimed that he is the manager of the flooring department has altitude problem. He thinks customer is wrong to be unhappy with him.
I ordered 250 bricks and paid $80 extra for them to be delivered early. I only received 134 and the delivery guy told me to call the store because they were out. I called the store and the lady told me she would put me through to customer service. I waited 30 minutes and no one ever came back to the phone. I hung up and called back and the same lady who put me on hold answered the phone again and said she would put me through to the manager. the manager answered and asked me for my order number. Immediately after I gave her the number my call got disconnected so I thought it was an accident. I called back to customer service and asked to be transferred to the manager again. She transferred me and immediately my line got disconnected. After that, I got a call from Home Depot but no one ever said anything. I could hear background noise but no one said anything. Was I suppose to just stay on the line until someone said something? I waited 2 minutes and I hung up. I never spoke to the manager again and my problem still exist. I will need to go to the store tomorrow to figure this out. I bet you theyll just refund my money and wont do anything about the bricks. I will have to go find the bricks myself in a different store in order to finish my job. I paid $80 for nothing.
Horrible service, paid $ for someone to come and measure a room for carpeting. Waited almost 2 weeks. Get a call at 8pm the day before the person is due to arrive. Guy tells me he goes home at 4pm so my scheduled time doesnt work for him, I scheduled 4-6pm. He tells me that he will ask someone else to come by and measure the room. Of course nothing happens, a day later I get a call from customer service telling me that someone else will reach out to me the next day, they assured me it wont be the same person as yesterday. I told them I didnt care who came so long the measurement is done after 4pm. I waited 2 more days, and nothing. I went in there and got my money back. Dont bother calling anyone in management, no one even answers the phone in this place.
Horrible at customer service waiting over an hour to get help from appliances and no 1 came to help also horrible service over the phone waited more then 1 hour and a half no 1 came to my call. I had no choice but to hang up. I feel like the employees dont care about the ppl business theyre giving or time.
The service I have received from the Duty manager named Danny was terrible, and the way he treated his employee was unbelievable and disrespectful. he was yelling at the employee infront of everyone when I was trying to figure out why the scanning isn’t working for the doors that I am trying to purchase. I have asked for his help, and he just told me it is not for sale that’s why is not scanning. Which doesn’t make sense at all!!!!! I got 3 doors that are 24x80, and 1 door that are 30X80, all of them are not for sale???? And plus there are bunch of them (the same damn doors) in the store. If it is not for sale, why put in the store for customer to purchase? It was clearly a machine issue, and he didn’t even try to resolve this. I can’t believe this kind of person can become a manager and represent the company!!!
We were helped today by Corey in the floor tiles section. Corey was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He is top notch at what he does, and all Home Depot employees everywhere could certainly learn a lot from him with regard to how to treat and help a customer.
Place is huge!!Staff are helpful but sometimes have no idea where things are located.I asked about where the ladders were and they just pointed me to a general direction and not knowing the actual aisle number. I wasted a good 10 minutes until I found my ladders.Checkout was somewhat slow but it was moving at least.Parking lot is pretty big and can fit a good amount of cars.
Employees are not helpful at all. I asked the employee are you working here and can you help me find plastic storage box? She said No, I am not working here. She wear the orange Homedepot uniform! The customer service is also rude. I believe the customer service just feel too boring to work and doing nothing. 4 customer services are available and I literally ask for return. Nobody ask me what can I do for you. Finally I felt angry and just ask can you do return? They looked at each other and seems nobody want to do their work. My feel back may help other customers and not want you feel disappointed. Avoid go to flushing store at all cost.
Staff is very helpful and if you dont have a specialty item that you need then this is the place to go to. A plus for here, as opposed to other places, is that items are not a mess and not misplaced or mislabeled. You get one box of specific tiles, they will all be that. You wont get home and find that a bunch of them are different and wont match the rest of the tiles.
I know the store cant do much about the people that shop there but some of the rudest customers Ive ever encountered... that being said the staff was just as rude. Walked up to one employee and he said, What do you want!?!?! then gave a general wave to the location of the item we were looking for... problem was... it wasnt there. That was the tone for the rest of the employees that worked there too, except for one young man who worked in the carpeting department. Even though that young man was helpful, Im still giving the store one star. Check out was a nightmare! Granted we are from out of town, but I would expect customer service should be the main priority no matter where the store is located.
Materials all twisted kicked around unorganized cashiers very slow 10 minutes for the customer in front of me with 10 pieces of block prices not any better than a local family-owned business if you can find one cuz they put them all out of business I hate the store Lowes hundred times better. I would give zero stars but there is none for that worst store ever
You are an absolute chump if you shop here for anything. The inventory on their website is wrong. The prices are higher at this home depot for everything compared to other home depots for the same products, I literally have been comparing prices at this home depot to others for months, DO NOT SHOP HERE IF ITS NOT ON SALE.Dont expect any of the lazy, rude, or incompetent employees to help, rather than politely tell me that the store has run out of a product, the employees would rather send you on a wild goose chase to a random aisle and then hide from you. Wish I was joking....
If I can put 0 I would. First I was looking for molding for the bathtub. The found it n the bag was opened. I went to customer service n asked if there is more in the back. They said no just whats there. I showed her there all opened n missing items. So I said can I please see if they can ship it for me. I needed two packages at $11.81 each. Which together the order should be $22. Well she went on the computer said two day shipping to my house will cost $102. I said why so much. Its $22 for the items n you dont have complete package. She tells me its causualty that its missing items n I can still buy the item. I said its missing pieces. I need all the pieces. She said I can order it for $102. I said thanks but going to Lowes
I really like this store. Its always well stocked (well except during snowmagadden but thats understandable), and has plenty of parking. The cashiers are always super helpful too. My bf comes to this store atleast once a week, and always has a positive experience. Stop by and give it a try!
Garbage customer services . we order some staff online and pick up this store. wait 30 minutes on the line ,and one and half hours to wait for somebody to pick it up inside the home depot store .how can that happen!!! the manage on the store also very bad. he dont care about the customer, very rude people. they dont care about anybody . dont and never go back to this store .they make you a big mass and destroy your life!!!
Worst experience ever . Not a person on staff can help or get a customer service representative to fix the problem.Among the most poorly managed stores I ever shopped at.Ownership should be ashamed of such lack of enthusiasm by staff since customers pay salaries.Dont ever shop at either location in College point, the very worst employees ever
I spent three hours trying to get someone in this store to speak to me on the phone. The lowlight was a hold that lasted more than an hour and was followed by a rep in appliances picking up and immediately hanging up. No attempt to talk to me, much less help me. And yes, I know they must have been busy today, but theres no excuse for that.
This is the worse Home Depot I had ever been. Staff was not helpful at all. Saw them stood in a group chitchating. Items were not organized well and a lot of them were very dusty and dirty. I was looking for a horizontal storage shed. Found it and there were 3 available. All of them with the boxes we either was damaged or got water mark indicated there was water there before. I would not come back to this store and not recommend to anyone if they have a vehicle. I would drive to the College Point one which is more organized and the staff is nice and helpful.
Homedepot is great and most people working there, except few bad apples . Watch out for worker name Megan. Her fake nice attitude . I personally saw how rude she can be to costumers when she is not in mood. Then she disrespects elders . What a nasty women . Please dont get fooled by this fake smile and welcoming attitude
Absolutely rude salespeople. I was no more than 1 1/2 from the sales clerk, trying to catch her attention saying excuse me and all she could do was make every effort to ignore me. These people work harder at not working than they would if they actually worked. Where the heck have all rhe real hardware stores gone?
This is regarding the home depot in avery ave in flushing, queens. Its one of the larger home depots at least when compared to my local depot in forest hills/glendale. Larger space=more inventory=more choices. More items in stock on shelves. However, it also means more crowded with customers, mostly asian due to flushing location.
Where do I even begin.. this location is by far the worst Home Depot. 1. the parking lot and the horrendous drivers. 2. Most, with a couple of exceptions, employees at this location are miserable and hate their job/life. Even if you ask them politely for assistance, many are too busy engaging in side conversations with their fellow coworkers or if they even acknowledge you at all but with a nasty attitude like you owe them money. 3. Inventory is always low or out of stock. Not many choices either. What a shame. Surprise this place is still open.
I go to Home Depot frequently for home repairs. I love Home Depot - but PLEASE don’t go to this one! I found the workers dishonest and misleading, and if you don’t know enough about prices and what exactly you need, please don’t go to this one! There are plenty of other Home Depot’s within driving range
Had the worst experience as a customer here in any store in my life. Putting the bad attitude of staff and store manager aside, they called a tow truck and towed my car from the parking lot just because I stepped out the store for a minute! I was forced to pay $137 dollars to get my car back. There are at least two people whose car was also towed when I was waiting for the tow truck. The store is running a scam scheme with the tow truck company. This is really disgusting and definitely not something that you would expect from a store like home depot.
This is very rapidly descending into some of the worst customer service that I have experienced. Why are other locations more friendly than this one, over and over again? There should be a special award for gruffness here 1st class. I dothink that I shant waste their time anymore, perhaps they are too busy?
I have been trying to order patio furniture for 2 days now ! Day 1 - it took almost an hour of being on hold to speak to someone & they never called me back. Day 2 - took 30 mins for someone to answer, the young lady hung up on me instead of transferring the call. Called back 20 mins later someone answered, he was trying to help but did not speak English. I asked to speak to a manager or anyone else and he simply didnt understand. Theres clearly no one handling the phones
This is honestly the worse experience I ever had. was going in with my family to try to buy some bi fold doors. there was none to be found. so I go and ask for help to the first worker. asked for help but looked at me like I was stupid and annoyed to even try to help me, but said he would send someone. but after 15 mins of waiting, I wasnt gonna wait longer. so I ask another person. this person topped the first one had a rude response telling me well theres a desk at the back that people also work there too and just went about his business. finally the last worker helped us even tho it wasnt his department. the guy even stopped a manager to help us. if it werent for this guy I think I would of been stuck there the whole night.
This review is based on the professionalism and the heart of one of the employees, his name is Ricky (he works for the appliances dept. He tried so hard to help us solve the problem (someone sold us a dryer that was not working with the electricity in my house), hes kind, friendly and very professional. He gave us instructions on how to choose the right machine and guided us through the whole process. Ricky God Bless You always.
Horrible experience, found one guy for help, told us hell get someone for me, waited 15 minutes no one arrived at the aisle. When to search for another found one, got a smart ass with an attitude. The moment you see them and ask for help you can see the look they give you is, dont bother me, or an annoyed look.
We went to home depot today to look for stair runner. we asked for the assistant and been waited for 10+ mins. There was a lady was ahead of us for assistance. The assistant, Haque, was taking his time to help the lady. and the lady was so picky, he got annoyed. We tried to ask a quick question when he was waiting for the lady for decisio, but he wanted us to wait. We standed next to him for 20 more mins. He finally finished with the lady with anger. when we asked him the question if the runner we want still in stock because the website shows in stock. his attitude was so bad and release his anger to us and said if you see it here, its here, and refused to check. that was so unprofessonal.
This store is a dump. Half the staff does not know anything. I went in for paint and gave the numbers so they could match it. The moron behind the counter clearly cant read because I wanted grey but instead was given blue. Save yourself the head ache and go to the Home Depot in Westbury. The selection is much better, Staff knows what they are talking about and less mistakes are made.
The washing machine in our house was reinstalled, but the outlet of our faucet is relatively small, so we need to refit this water outlet. We have been paying attention to it for a long time, but too many accessories, we cant find it, but the staff is very serious to help us. thank you very much,Mike J

Why does no one in this store know where anything is. I ask almost everyone in the store some give me false imformation and some have no clue at all what the hell are they dong there. I see workers in there walking around in circles not doing anything. Why are they walking in circles? it looks like they are trying to power walk away from customers to avoid them. i was chasing one worker down i had to run to catch up to him i ran about 5 aisles I was screaming trying to get his attention but he pretended like he owned the place and did not care at all. he looked high as a bird with his eyes completely red and dragon breathe that was blowing out marijuana smoke as we were speaking.
I went to Home Depot simply to exchange 2 propane tanks. What was supposed to be uncomplicated became a 20 minute ordeal. I had to wait 10 minutes to wait to pay for the new tanks. Then they had to find someone to get the tanks.A very helpful cashier called out to someone. That person referred me to someone else. I then had to walk to the other end of the parking lot to get the tanks. Now that summer is here, they should have an employee whose only task is to handle propane tank exchange.
Don’t come to this store it took literally 3 people to pass by for them to be able to get one person to get one box down from an upper shelf. And to whoever was supposed to be at the plumbing area you should be fired for having a customer wait nearly half hour for you.
Horrible, told me I can use the store credit if I place the online order at the store. Then I bought the store credit online, then they told me actually I cannot. No apologies but blamed me, saying I should take the responsibility because I chose to do so, and for them sometimes people make mistake and are not educated yet. Great reasons.
This 4 stars are for customer service girl named Jasmine in the store. After I failed to return 3 years warranty for my dryer via phone and online, Jasmine helped me reach related department with smooth experience. If its not for her effort I will not bother shopping home depot online again. 1 star deducted for home depot online return service, which just shows excuse we are currently under maintenance

2022-05-16This is disgusting thing in my life❗️❗️❗️I never know this is Home Depot treating her customers in this way❌ I drove my sisters to flushing Home Depot but I couldn’t found parking near the front door, I dropped them in the Home Depot and parked another side parking and waiting them check out , I saw the coffee shop next door , I went to get one coffee and back to my car , just 10 mins, I found my car was booted and I saw this notice. I right the way call the phone according their directions and was told I need pay $235 to unlock no others way. There have another 3 persons hold ticket , because they don’t speck English and they said they waiting their family outside and one is smoking because this are don’t allowed and another one is shopping for flowers but he don’t find the right one, we went to Home Depot store talk to management, the lady said that we should read carefully when we drove here for shopping. The driver can not leave the parking , but I only get one coffee, also My family is shopping inside now❗️❗️❗️Which law said driver have to stay inside shopping ❗️❗️❗️If you HOMEDEPORT really mind someone park here without shopping. You should check the receipt when they went out but you take this way to rubber your customers and you treat those consumers (Most this is Asian )can’t read and speaking English , you should use Korean and Chinese warnings ❗️In this way to rub your consumers, home depot are discriminating and fraud❌We will never return here❌

2022-06-27I purchased a chainsaw, or so I thought… Immediately after getting to my families place where I intended to use it(15 Mins after purchase), I began to unbox it. I ended up discovering there was no item in the box, instead, replaced with rubbish. I was appalled! I couldn’t understand how an item that was wrapped in what appeared to be its original seal was able to be tampered. That said, I immediately went to the location where I purchased it to inform the manager and get an exchange and/or return. However, this story just keeps getting worse!! Jessica who is the Asst. Manager said she did her research and concluded that I left with the merchandise.. In turn, letting me know I would not be receiving a refund or exchange. I don’t even know where to begin or how this can happen to someone who rightfully purchased the item they needed, thought it was sealed in the box new and opened it to find out the box is full or trash! And yet, I was made out to be a thief or some type of scammer as because when I left it was sealed in the box! How do you think I felt??! I am beyond disappointed with this experience and Jessica offered no resolution, even knowing everything I explained to her A-z. I have filed a claim with my bank and will be following up with homedepot corporate. No one deserves that type of treatment or embarrassment for something they didn’t do!! Buyers beware, just because it looks originally wrapped doesn’t mean your item is in the box. Check the boxes before you leave the store, this manager and this store is clearly up to something funny and it’s effecting innocent people.

2021-05-06Huge store with everything you might need for the house, now even a bigger section for the household cleaning supplies. Great nursing for the garden of you dreams. Yet lock of costumer service and Ill say some rudeness. Completely a mess at check out (1 single lane) absurd. Plus prices to be a whole seller are too high, you can get something cheaper at a local hardware store or online.

2022-05-16I have known this Home Depot location for past 15+ years now, and was one of the first to visit with my parents. Shopping here, along with other HD locations, I can comment accurately that the customer service and experience has been decreasing ever since. The store is dirty, shelves are not fully stocked, and floor associates are not helpful or knowledgeable about products and their locations. I use the Home Depot app quite a lot to navigate the store and find products but most often they are not in the right locations. This location has very long lines (almost 25-30 people standing at a time) with only self checkout ( only 3-4 machines open while rest broken) and 1-3 cashiers lanes open. I visited this HD location 2 weeks to get propane as my local Jamaica location did not have it in stock. The inside cashiers told me they didn’t carry propane and didn’t know any information regarding its purchase. I told them they indeed had it in stock outside and I needed to purchase it inside and present a receipt to get the propane tank from an associate outside. Only then did the associate along with a supervisor ring me up and purchased it and was along my way. Had to wait in line for most 6 minutes for this. Such level of incompetence is not warranted by associates who do a disservice to their customers and company.

2022-04-18Parked in their parking lot today. We went across the street to look at something and then went to home depot. Came back to the car with a boot on the wheel. It cost $233.17 to get it off! I called and apparently theres signs to warn us. We had to look HARD to find these signs after the fact. If home depot wants to charge TWO HUNDRED dollars for this then put up better & bigger signs. If we had known we wouldnt have gone anywhere else. Talk about taking advantage of people. $233.17! Where does this amount even come from. What a way to lose customers. ✌🏾

2022-06-10After 6:00 PM, employees are gone. Theres almost noone to help you. If you find someone he/she belongs to another area. The only employee available is this Spanish lady in the floor section who stays up to 9:30 PM or so. Everyone else is gone. The cabinets and stone section is empty. Noone knows anything about other sections. All employees should know about the whole store. The online page sucks 2 hours to purchase something. The worst page to buy online!!! Should train employees better, hire more employees, update a new software online. Its so disgusting to go back and see the next product.

2022-05-01Please dont shop at this store. Not only does it take close to an hour to get someone on the phone, they also have a team unwilling to process online orders timely. My product arrived two days ago and they still havent processed it, how long does it take for a person to scan a product adter UPS made all the work in the delivery process? Zero stars for the delays, specially the phone experience, shop elsewhere or have items delivered to you directly.

2022-06-11Terrible service, very rude worker in the lumber area. I was buying some lumber and wanted the their worker help me cut it. A shot Chinese guy was there and I waited more than 10 minutes for him to finish his cleaning work and politely asked him if he would help me with cutting the lumber, he didn’t even response for the first time and went another area continued his cleaning, I waited another 10 minutes and asked him again, he told me that I have to cut it myself with a hand saw since they would only cut the lumber when you are buying bundles, which is totally not true.

2022-06-17Came in at 7:30am, Went to the painting department this gentleman with black hair slid to the right, wore glasses, and im assuming hes asian. First of all he spent 5-6 minutes talking to his coworker laughing and using his phone while i am waiting for him to assist me. Then I asked him to make me a gallon of cathedral gray with matte on the scuff defense which is 37$. He then states that it would only be for the other cans that are 50$. I stated no, I got this before. He stated yeah years ago. I stated no last month. Then I decided to leave because of his attitude and when seeing his inventory I saw a stock of shelfs of scuff defense. Definitely will be contacting BBB over this. There was absolutely no reason for his rude behavior. I highly recommend going to the home depot in 124-04 31st avenue They will give you what you want no altercations and no nasty attitude like i experienced today.
