DONT ORDER FRIDGES from here! We ordered a two Samsung refrigerator from their outlet. It was supposed to be delivered on the 20th of April 2022. Today is the the 28th and the next delivery window they gave us is on the 5th of May. Our fridge stopped working so paid in full to get the appliance as soon as possible. My dad is a diabetic patient and his insulins have been damaged because of this. Not to mention how insensitive they are with the whole situation no one has contacted us or even apologised.Bad customer service! Going to PC Richardson or Costco next time!
Convenient Home Depot in this location. Prices are decent. Recently my experience has been good due to a couple of staff members, Shaneille and a lovely Island woman in the paint department. Thanks Ladies for making my experience so humbling. Its nice to see humanity is alive and well.
I waited 45 mins to get help in the tool rental room. Then the assistant manager tried to blame me that I didn’t ask for help. I had asked three associates for help. Then she tried to tell me they can’t rent me the item because it’s too late than the tool section is closing in an hour. I told her that’s enough time. She said if I don’t bring it back then I’ll be charge the day rate rather than the hour rate. Terrible. There was one older woman that was very help and kind. The only positive of the experience.
They did not give me the $10. off, (see photos) apparently they claim that you only get the $10 off if you buy an item from all the brands displayed.Then they had another twist: Tide is not one of the brands included in this special! So I told them to read its printed on the box. They responded: Oh! Its printed on a Tide box, however Tide is not one of the brands on this special.
I want to thank Sunita the customer service manager for her warm personality and caring approach as per letting me know that my order was out of stock. Sunita defines what it means to keep a customers needs first. She just didnt stop at telling me that her local Home Depot was out of stock of the item I was purchasing, but even recommended other stores that had the item in stock. Sunita didnt want me to loss out on the Milwaukee m18 batter y charger set special and really went out of her way to ensure that all my needs were met! Lets keep mind that all the while Sunita was taking care of an immense amount of delivery shipments while still attending to my situation. She is such an amazing manager, and skilled at multitasking. I will make sure to use this location when I am in the Queens area for all my future projects.
Really organized and spacious store with a variety of items to choose from. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about products and where to locate them. Pricing is always right at the Home Depot and the location is great. It’s close-by to Jamaica Ave where u can do more shopping etc. it’s a busy neighborhood. For great products and excellent quality check out the Home Depot!!
We all know by now that its not getting cheaper to shop for home repair supplies anymore. While their are several things affecting prices to increase we must maintain our property so major repairs dont become necessary. Ive been looking for deals in Home Depot Stores on line before running to the store this saved me time and money and maybe it can work for you.
Home Depot on Jamaica Avenue is charging for bags to the 29th of February, When the effective date is March 1st. I brought it to the attention of the young lady that was watching the self check out and her response wasYou picked that. I told her she should be informing the customers that are using the self check out to pay for their items, so they dont make a mistake a pay for bags they are not required to pay for yet. She shrugged her shoulders like its not her problem. In all fairness the registers should be programmed to charge on the March 1st effextive date and not before then. How many unknowing customers are being charged. On a better note the Securty Guard at the door checked my receipt and told me you werent supposed to pay for the bag. The effective date is tomorrow. At least someone in Home Depot on Jamaica Avenue cared to notice and say something.
Everything a Contractor or DIY needs for home repairs and tools for the job. All the aisles are clearly marked and fully stocked so its fast and easy to find what you need, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The place is clean and sanitized so that makes a big difference if youre worried about Covid issues etc. The staff wear masks and there are dividers at checkout thats also a plus.
This is a smaller location but it was well organized, clean & actually had staff to answer questions!😂 I feelAs if I usually have to hint down the staff for help. I quickly located what I was shopping for &’used the self check out. Another plus was that there was no annoying person standing unnecessarily at the exit to mark my receipt👍🏽
I wish Google has -5 star rating options because this Home Depot truly deserve a -5 star. I bought some paint tools and rollers . Quality was very poor . I was depending on those tools when I got to a customers home. As I put roller on wall for my first paint roll. Roller handle was in realy bad condition it get broken in first roll. Here is picture. And roller cover was realy poor quality remember this was the most expensive package. Home Depot should be ashamed of such kind of metrial spcialy when pros are depending on their stuff .
Very good experience shopping here at the Home Depot (Jamaica branch) Thanks to Roxanne and the other person in the paint department (sorry didnt get his name)that went way above and beyond to assist us with our purchases. They are model employees that really know what Customer Service means.
Had a boot put on my car the parking lot was empty it was right before closing time my tire might been on the line in the lot and this guy in a toys for tots car sitting there waiting for me to go in the store it cost me 225 dollars to get the boot off never going back to home depot
If honestly, this store Customar service is very very bad, I have home, last year I renovated my home and I bought cash and credit almost $30000 or more, if any time I am asking or looking some items, they are always ignored. They never show, even today I asked, he said I don’t know about items and I am gone send some one but I am waiting more than 20 minutes no one came, besides most of employees are very rude. I can’t believe and I am very fad up to Home Depot. I believe there management is not that much skill.
I said hi can we have some assistance please! I said that about 3 times and still was ignored. He saw and heard me but never acknowledged. I approached him and described the project and showed me the wrong stuff. I trusted him because clearly I didnt know what I needed. Clearly he wasnt interested in assisting, more workers are needed. 1 person was in building area and not knowledgeable about said area. What a disappointment!
Always a ***** experience. Knowing the store, the products I seek and the posted price.My purchases included covid care products, fall/winter preps and metal cutting supplies.Covid protocols, bathroom cleanliness and attentive personnel round out a very safe and comfortable experience.
Its ok as far as getting supplies...workers are LAZY!! Asked 5 people for help getting 1 blade cutter out a locked display. Finally...the nicest worker tht was in charge of the checkout line came to help after I told her the Key Tech..said he was too busy!! I will not go here very often...Id rather drive to the one on Merrick!
After placing several online orders and attempting to locate a door frame that 3 Home depot prior showed to have them in stock, the store would then cancel my order and inform me after that it was not in stock (mind you at no time were the numbers adjusted online, all showing 2 or more in stock and the return takes 5 to 7 days to process) I was about to place a corporate complaint!!!! I then called this home depot where I had the pleasure of speaking to a customer service rep Sunita, I explained to her the situation, I informed her that the online store shows 3 in stock and asked if she could kindly verify it. She did in a timely manner and recommended that I place the order for she physically only saw 2. I placed the order and while driving to the location I recieved an update phone call by Kamran who informed me that the item I purchased was open. I showed up where I was greeted by the security staff (extremely professional) the gentlemen pointed me in the right direction where I met with Sunita and Kamran, they took the time to unbox and examine the contents of the item and completed the transaction. I live in Brooklyn, the customer service and over all experience at this location is why I will now be making the drive and placing my orders here. The individuals I have encountered here have set an example of what an employer should look for in an employee, they have set the bar for customer service and I would like to recognize these individuals for their outstanding service. This is the most incompetent store I have even been in. The store manager is not the smartest tool is the shed.I ordered my kitchen appliances at this location.It took three months to get my delivery. I ordered a black stainless steel kitchen appliances. Payed about 3 months on the appliances they delivered all black appliances. Call the store they claim that I have to speak to the warehouse they canceled my order.Try to speak to the store manager and she was clueless about how to even approach the situation took her 3 days then she tried to order the appliances online and act as if she’s helping me. One clueless (pos) my god...
Shopping in the early morning hours is good for me. Shelves are well stocked, prices are reasonable and shopping on website is great. Home Depot gives you option for home delivery or pick up in store. I use p/up in store. Employees are polite and helpful. Happy shopper😊My favorite hardware store 😊😊
I really hate going to certain Home Depots and this is one of them. You dont feel welcomed (unless youre a guy, of Indian decent).Cashiers would rather have long unnecessary conversations with each other than get the customer out the door. And they are NOT social distancing when doing it.
This home depot is the worst I have ever been to. It is conveniently located near my home. You would think a company of such a high stature would treat their customers better. None of the employees are helpful and when you ask for help they disappear. Isnt home depot based on its consumers? Customer service? The cashiers are very rude and have no customer service skills. I would hate to have to contact Atlanta about this situation but if it gets to that then it may. I have never had a good experience coming to this home depot. The managers just brush off any incidents. The general manager of this location should step up and be a manager. Your employees are a reflection of your management and by the looks of it, your management is very poor. That is all for now.
Hate going to home depot period....this one is extremely unprofessional! For 1 seems like no one knows anything like they are not trained at all for their positions no knowledge of basic info and 2 they treat women so much different then they treat their male customers its a shame!
I want to thank Fenita at returns, she was very patient and helpful to me with my returns. Fenita also helped me create a Pro account wich will be very helpful in the future. Shes a true professional and Home Depot should be happy they a have an employee of this nature. Thank you again
This home depot is terrible. It took me 20 min just to go around the block to get to the parking entrance. The area is too congested. Once inside I found what I needed but couldnt get anyone to help me since the item was locked up. I finally walked down two isles to someone that was restocking and he paged someone to come so I went back to the isle and waited for 10 min. No one came so I left the store. Total waste of my time.
Could not find all the items I needed, i use their website and internal store map and some of the items were not where the map said they should be. Then there was the self checkout had more self checkout than cashiers working, not a big fan of self checkout. If you would give me a employee discount then I might not mind too much.
Return clerk was a little pushy about my reason for returning my item. Seemed to want me to admit that it was used. 😕 But after that she accepted the return for cash. No ID needed with a receipt. The hand truck I returned was in better shape than two in their rack with flat tires.Got a good price on a king-sized Payday candy bar and a sugarless🍊 orange Monster.New self checkout machines are nice. All four here take cash and will break a hundred. Customer uses a gun for ringing up each item. Gun liked the UPC tags on all my Home Depot purchases recently. None of that double swipe or try the vertical swiping screen stuff.They do have a good variety of products and hours that have them open whenever I need them.I wish I wasnt returning something I just bought but there are big things in life that Home Depot cant help me with.
Terrible.Waited a hour to pay my bill. Couldnt reach a manager or supervisor.Customers at the cash register was there before me waiting on the cash pay for their items.Other customers on was trying to pick their order up.PLEASE PLEASE train your workers to kno there, if they cant solve the problem called the supervisor or manger.
I bought Vengardkit for $23.36, only to get home and find that the box was missing the most important piece the exhaust hose. Frustrated, and Unable to return to the store right away, due to my busy work schedule as an essential worker. I placed the box along with the receipt in my trunk, in case I was near the store on my way home from work. I was finally able to return to the store , on 6/24/20 , the original purchase was on 6/15/20. After waiting on the long return line , I encountered an employee by the name of Marshall.. I explained the situation to him in a very calm manner. Employee Marshall literally accused me of taking the hose out of the box and returning the box incomplete. After absorbing this humiliation. I asked employee Marshal, what would I gain by doing that. My original receipt was for a total of $73.56; why not bring everything back, if Im going steal.? A total disregard for customer satisfaction, complete disrespect to my character, and what I stand for.. I was finally refunded my money and shewd out of the way by employee Marshall. This store needs to train employees, to have better work ethics, and raise the awareness of employees on, what customer satisfaction truly means.
The absolute WORST service I have ever seen in a Home Depot, considering the pandemic I understand it is a hard time. My company comes to home depot every single day for material and this is the first Home Depot I was not only disrespected by an employee but it took us 12 employees to help get what we needed, one hand off to another until no one knew what to do (very simple material not to mention). While employees just stood around doing absolutely nothing. I am astonished this Home Depot is even open after experiencing what we just had. I cannot even give this place a star rating because they absolutely do not deserve it. The Home Depot company should really reconsider reevaluating this location completely. Not once,not twice ever time I go there it gets worse!!Few days ago when I went thereA person was returning something in a bag the cashier told him to put it back in the place he got it from!!!!They need Batter customer service period.
Staff are ridiculous. God forbid if you need help with anything, good luck finding the correct person. Be prepared to spend at least an hour even on a quick grab if you need something custom fit (blinds or keys etc.)Other than that, great store, great stock, usually clean.
They have change to fit the situation we are now facing. Line are formrd on the outside though they may be long just be patient it moves fast makes to make a list of the things you are purchasing so when you go in get the you require make your purchase and out the door browsing at this time is not needed have consideration for the others waiting on line to get in just saying from my experience make things a whole lot easier
If you have full knowledge of everything Home depot, then its a well stocked store and youll be fine, but if you need assistance thats where youll encounter some issues. The only employees that are actually working are at the registers. The other employees are all scattered throughout the store, on their phones or just hanging out with each other. The few that answered simple questions were wrong. Im convinced that any random person can walk into this location throw on a Home Depot apron and have the exact same amount of knowledge if not more than the current employees working there.
I stopped by here for a water cooler at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019. The merchandise was moderately easy to find, but the checkout line was very long and stunningly slow. I waited in line for 15 minutes! It was also difficult to find available shopping carts and only two checkout line we open.
I cant tell you it is nice and neat, because of the construction material,but things are in place, workers are available to help out with questions and directions to where to find what I am looking for. Cashier, there are personal guide you to next available.I like and I recommend this place.
Referred from another Home Depot that this branch has 12 security bar in stock. None when asked, tell me to purchase online was the worker recommendation, instead of looking in warehouse for item. Part 2 of 2 for no item referred by website. Found 4 security bar at unpopular chain hardware store. Unbelievable, no one is smart enough at Home Depot to update their website?!?
This place is ok, but it can be improved. There is little to no sales help. No one avails themselves . You have to try finding an employee with an orange apron. When you finally find someone, they usually say Thats not my department and simply walk away. They have more choices than the small mom and pop hardware stores but try getting sales help. I prefer the Home Depot on 23 street in Manhattan because the customer service is better. I wish they carried more products made in the U.S.A. I want to buy quality, not something that will break on me. They have a 90 day return policy and the store is generally clean, even the bathrooms. They open at 6:00 in the morning and close late. The closest bus to go home is just a block away. Tools can be rented as well as a truck. Day laborers are usually hanging outside early, so arranging a crew for a job is a breeze. Home Depot can also help with installations also...
Never think Ill get the hang of a store layout where you cant use a shopping cart, I wont ever try maneuvering around the people who frequent these places for work goods with a supermarket cart and he has lumber and metal on their orange dolly lol, other than that great selection compared to its competitors.
Service was non-existent. Arrived in the store at 8:24 pm and could not find the rep in the drop ceiling department to help. It took 1 hour and 5 minutes of going back and forth to different associates, someone being paged twice (still didnt turn up). An associate from another department helped me. I left the store at 9:33, not getting the items I really needed and feeling quite annoyed. Will try my luck tomorrow at Lowes.
Its convenient while in the general area but staff isnt as helpful as in other locations. Using in store pick up of Home Depot online purchases are handled well and is a great option to avoid shipping charges on orders that may otherwise include them if shipped to your home.
On April 2020 I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot the brand is a Samsung I paid extra money to have the old one taken. When they delivered the new refrigerator they didn’t take the old one claiming there were shattered glasses which was a lie. Second senecio I also purchase a brand new stove I paid $340.00 to have it installed when the stove arrived at my house the person said I had to wait for 48hours for installation because he is not licensed. Home Depot did not informed me I had to wait for 48 hours, nor that they wouldn’t fixed any appliance if it’s broken. Please be careful when purchasing appliances from Home Depot
My favorite HD. I like going there even though I live in the Bronx. The majority of the associates are pleasant as well as helpful and knowledgeable about the stores products. I tend to go at night when the store is not too crazy. So far they have had everything I have gone in to purchase.
I went to buy something to unclog my kitchen sink, good service there was a young man I forgot his name but he was really helpful when finding the aisle for Drano(what I originally came for). Another associate I asked for recommendation by the name of Chin I believe recommended me another product and I think the name was Instant power, he was really helpful. I used it, my sink was already working!
This home depot is one of the least places I like to visit. I only go there when I need something quick and they may not even have it. This locations staff is very unfriendly and do not like to help its customers. The front of the store is always loaded with vans and work trucks and the parking lot upstairs almost never has parking. This to me is funny because the customers in the store dont match up to the cars in the parking lot. Almost as people just parking and leaving their vehicles there. The store is very unorganized and the people running it dont understand the product their selling. Would I recommend this location to any one? Id say no to that. Drive a little further and go to another store maybee the Rocaway Blvd location.
So many employees getting payed for nothing!Youll spend half an hour looking for help than another 20 minutes following someone that pretends to know what you need and eventually realize there is no one that can help to find the simplest thing.Not to mention the cashiers that work like they do you a favor moving at all.A bunch of useless people gathered in one place.
I needed to purchase an electric panel box and my electrician wrote specific instructions on what I would purchase. Well, I left the list home and was at a total lost. That is until Clara came to the rescue. She was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The excellent customer service demonstrated by Clara of the Jamaica store is exemplary.
Needed to purchase a door no one was working at the department and they said theres no one to help me at the moment. I decided to go to pick my paint color, also no one working. Asked other employees they said they will call someone over the PA system. Asked 3 people for their manager no manager available. Finally after 20 mins a worker came over and started to help the 5 people waiting for paint.
Not a bad store, convenient location now the person in the paint dept I am sorry I did not get his name when asked about the ups paint we all know its priced at $9 for the gallon, the quart I am pretty sure its around $2 maybe less there were no prices listed on the cans of paint, none of them had a price the person behind the counter when asked first sayed $12 for the quart, then when I sayed how come he sayed $10 I guess the money its going in his pocket, every other home depot had prices on these cans but not this store and they allow this guy to make his own price, this is reflecting really bad on the store...I would not go there again

It is a very large and fully stock store with reasonable prices in every department. It is conveniently located in a very busy shopping district and has long business hours. Staff members are all friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Should you need help locating an item, staff members are always available to assist. This large store has a parking lot. It is near many buses which run on Jamaica Avenue. It is also not too far from the Jamaica Subway Station.
This Home Depot is always messy. Getting help from the staff is nearly impossible. It is very difficult to find anything at this Home Depot. If given the opportunity I will travel to a different Home Depot in a different city so that I can get a little bit of assistance when shopping for items.
I usually find what I am looking for here. I can even get silver keys which I like better than brass keys. I have a number of tools i use for a bicycle. some can only be found at a bike store. but there are some basic tools that can be found at both a bike store and home depot. in that case home depot prices always beat the bike shop prices. good prices and silver keys are why i keep going to home depot.
I love the the store but the samsung products are not recommended after a year you will have problems with icing.Do not buy fridge model RS25J500DSR/AA the ice maker will freeze over, useless after that and the trays will accumulate ice and your not able to draw it back to open, freeze stock. Mopping everyday will be a regular thing with this model. It was a mistake i dont want you to make.
I must say I was very pleased with my visit to HD today,the store had adequate amount of associates to assist you. I was so surprise that I asked the associate who was assisting me if they hired more employees, usually I would have gotten frustrated waiting or looking for help
I am ms. J hendrickson and when i went to home depot on jamaica there was no toilet tissue and no paper towels it is not well stock i would appreciate if not for me but for the neighbor hood it is a shopping area as well and they cause peoplento have to go some where else whats going on!!!!!
Employees are RUDE. Just a horrible experience coming to this store. No one seems to know anything and when they do get off they behind to help it’s with attitude and they still will send you home with the wrong items that you need. A huge hardware store and no one knows a thing about any appliance or tool in there.
This was by far the worst home depot Ive ever been to. I went in looking for wood with specific dimensions, asked 3 ppl for help at 3 different times and all they kept saying is look in aisle ___ check molding.. and everytime we came back telling HD staff that we couldnt find it and we needed help, they STILL wouldnt assist. Very aggravated at this place. Never again!
They have many things like wood, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, dryers, ovens, microwave ovens, gloves and lots more plus they also have Christmas decorations and trees to the holiday season thats coming, so come on down to shop til you drop and get into the holiday spirit with friends and families.
Rented a snake to clean up the sewer drain. When I took it home it was not working. I called them from home about the problem and video taped it, to prove the machine was not working. They told me to bring it back. When I brought it back, and ask for a different snake, they said I have to pay again. My question is why would I pay full price for a faulty machine.
I was in the store yesterday looking for some light bulbs , and one staff member was helpful in showing me a sample of the LED light bulbs and the purpose behind it. I was thrilled by the helpful service and I would definitely be back at The Home Depot again after Thanksgiving and beyond. Thanks to the Home Depot in Jamaica, Queens you have won another customer.
Wasnt so obvious where to park if you arent a regular. The main level is for contractor pick up only. The escalator wasnt working which was a disappointment. I was on self check out and some random cashier xame by scanned my items, no greeting, communication or anything. Apparently I had to wait until her scan showed up at my kiosk. A heads up would have been nice
Did not like the service. Full of lazy people. I had to wait 20 min to get assistence from some one. Lady on lighe section was in break and no one was willing to help. Ask assistent manager for help named jain but she tried to call the right person. When the lady came i found she never been in break and ignored to help while other associate was calling her. So bad. However i am not going there anymore. I just ruin my 45 min.
I was buying paint for my house , worst customer service ever in the paint department section. The girl had a huge attitute and on top of that gave me the wrong paint. Home Depo needs to hire more mature people not highschool kids that have no idea what the value of a dollar is. Becuse this cost me money and time.

2022-04-05This store is located in a place where roads are mostly busy and there is no roadside legal parking. But, like other home Depot, this store has its own big parking in ground and in second floor. Customer service Ill give 3 out of 5 but other features are good. I included availability, and how how easy to find items in customer service. It has self check out. Check out is fast.

I just want to shop for what I want and get out !I do not want the extra BS. So since this location wouldn’t honor discount without signing up, I went to another location several miles away, but I was happy in the end.Avoid this location if you are a Veteran or currently serving, and keep your private life “private”.

2022-05-24We always love visiting Home Depot, except this one Home Depot. One of the staff was very rude. She didn’t want to answer my question. She wasn’t helpful at all. She fixed up the tiles right after I touched them and had an attitude that seems like I made a mess. She even told my child do not touch the tiles. Terrible experience. Maybe just one person had a one bad day. But i will never go to this location again.

2022-06-19I don’t write reviews, but I had to share about this terrible experience with Home Depot. I ordered a stackable washer and dryer that was suppose to be delivered a week after ordering. When the delivery crew (who were nice people) get there, they stated there was no stacking kit attached to the order. I called customer service they stated that the stacking kit was in a different order (which I had to pay for with a almost $60 appliance delivery fee) that order was apparently on back order. It took about 3 weeks to get the stacking kit and try the delivery again. Now for the second delivery date the delivery crew stated that it was the incorrect stacking kit (but the customer service person ordered it for me). Now I need to return the old stacking kit to get the new one and I am having so many issues with this return. This has been a two month process to get a washer and dryer installed and still nothing is complete. Do better!!

2021-03-25I ordered a shed online and had it delivered to this store. The price was extremely better than Amazon. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Great all-round service! I will be checking out Home Depot more often for my online purchases! I love their large and healthy looking palm trees. I think I will be buying some later!

2022-06-04Store manager Dorett Cox runs and amazing operation at the Jamaica Home Depot!! Today we were in there looking for marigolds and other items. She was on the floor assisting us and other customers. We were pleasantly surprised when we realized it was the store manager helping us. As we continued to shop, the entire team at the Jamaica location was not only extremely helpful, but so friendly and happy to help! We have other Home Depot’s closer to us but we go out of our way to go to the Jamaica location because it is such a pleasant shopping experience! Thank you to Dorett and her team! All Home Depot’s should follow the example you set!!!

2022-06-28My aunt has always goes to this location because it is the nearest one. Today was her first experience that customer service and assistance was the worst. Made her feel that helping senior citizens isn’t important to assist.

2020-12-20Its my first time to buy something from this store. Really big big store . Full of product. Each and every product are seperated . self full of product. Price not too high.Employee really friendly and very helpful. Restroom available.
