The Home Depot in other cities:
This store has the best manager you can find! I went there with an issue, I had no recite and my card was stolen. Carl took his time and found my purchase on the system, wich almost was no way to be found. He is the most knowledgeable, experienced and pleasant manager I have ever seen! The suffering is very friendly also and helpful also too. Good bless you Karl and your team. Thank you for your patience and help.
I used to call them Home Depot Lite because of the lack of inventory. Over the years Ive come to find they have grown and have just about everything any other home Depot has. Close and convenient, this is my go to store for home and backyard good and accessories. Keep up the good work!
Well was getting all my supplies to pretty much give my house a lil retouch.. got all my paint, the girl who assisted me with it, was very helpful and friendly , I wish I can remember her name she had a hijab. We found pretty much all that we needed , except the door knobs that we really wanted had been empty for the last three time that I have visited, clean organized , wished they had more helpful hands. But overall I liked it.
After having a home delivery I found I needed one more bundle of starter shingles, after giving them 5 stars about their delivery I was so confused as to why none of the people in charge of the store were willing to help solve the situation. All the floor workers were willing to help, but the person in charge just said nope nothing left. Now I understand that its all gone, but NO asking do you want to order it, to even see if another store had it.I had recently had a delivery coming over 1,500 dollars .I personally will never ever use the store on Targee street. They were so blaise about my needing this item to finish my project. Now as to why I was really upset was that I called before I went and they said they had nine starter strips I stock. Now I completely understand were in a crisis about not having things replenished, they were like sorry nope we dont have it I said I just called to confirm there was some.no we dont have any and whoever was in charge of the lumber insisted in telling me the end caps were exactly what I needed.Im old but that feeling like I dont even know what I wanted was unbelievable.Hey I have a voice and Im going to use it.I wanted to start the project not end it. I felt very put out treating me like oh that stupid woman what would she know, just sell her something and get her out of here.Well Im irrate at being treated this way. I personally will not do any business with your store on Targee street and want you to know how dissatisfied I was with my treatment yesterday.i hardly ever stand up for myself, but I wanted to tell you what a horrible experience I had there yesterday.im letting you know I feel the people there need a attitude adjustment in customer care !
Had a pick up and had to wait 30 mins. No one came and I went inside and their employees were on their phones. Also, extremely hard to find help. You have to walk up and down 5 isles to finally find someone, just to realize they dont specialize in the isle you are interested in.
Top notch, employee I thought was on break was off because they were closing and got fellow employees to not only stop closing the gate but understand what I needed and escort me to it. I know home depot is a big store but the people they have at this location at this time go above and beyond. My emergency was my bathroom light stopped working and have young children in my house and couldnt have that overnight.Thank you staff of 2/15/19.
The lady in the self check-out was rude. I watched her handle other customers, but when me and my friend walked over she was very attentive. Even ignoring another customer to stand behind us. I dont have a history of stealing, nor did my friend, and I always go to thus location for keys. Idk, just food for thought.
Very poor customer service at this store. I had to wait for an hour for someone to come help with the lift. When the lift finally came. Someone named Will grabbed 2 defective items and then refused to help further. Meanwhile, theres another item right next to them and it looks good. He refused to grab that one and wanted to push the customer to buy defective items in the store.
The Home Depot on Targee Street has great service and knowledgeable staff on hand. One of my recent great experience was with a cashier named Devin. I was looking at the plants and she offered to help by naming some which was helpful to me because I never knew there were so many different types of succulents. She was very patient and helpful. I give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Devin! Good luck Devin! Thank you for your help! Stay well and safe!Alice A
Home Depot has always been my go to first stop shop for emergency hardware, painting supplies, amd some important home goods items. This is because there is no mom and pop hardware store nearby and Amazon sometimes cant ship next day (yet[. If there was an alternative Id take it and this is why: the Home Depot has always focused on contractors above homeowners, their customer service is poor and only exists really in big ticket items like washers, grills and lawn furniture.
As always, Home Depot sucks, no matter which location you decide to go. The minimum wage drones will let you stand at the counter( in this case the paint depatment) and ignore you, till youre ready to jump over the counter and slap the snot put of them. This is why I avoid HD unless absolutely necessary.
Well in general is nice going to home depot in Staten island but theres still a few things that could be improved for the sake of the costumers and costumers like me that is very little that I know about tools and I expect to have a little light in the things I need, a lot of times sadly so to speak I cannot find anybody that wants to give me a hand they always make that they not see you or they do not understand what you want ! Accent maybe another type of discrimination which is very heavy word trying to describe my experience inside the store and I had to say is not all the workers there that they ignore you some of them are actually kind and very helpful.. of course they need a little costumer service improvement conferences :)
I bought a freezer from them with a protection plan of two years , since i have it it stop cooling every two three month and they used to change the fan every time and having this problem 4 times in one year they disconnect the call , they refused to replace the item . I don’t recommend any appliances from home depot cos if they sell u an item with manufacturer problem they will not replace it and keep dealing with the problem.personally prefer wallmart, target ,best buy any other but homedepot
This HD is not as big as others therefore you may not be able to find things unless you are looking for generic common things. For specific items you may want to go to a bigger one like the one on Forest ave.Staff is not helpful, especially the plumbing aisle staff, and sometimes even rude. They change often so the current staff there might not be same as I was there.
Checkout staff are great. Its a great place to find stuff you need as long as you do an inventory search online. The expert level staff know their isles and always willing to help.If only the new associates would stop hiding 😅 away as soon as they locate a puzzled customer would be nice. I encourage corporate to train the new hires for confidence and values of professional customer service. Jobs to get you can turn into careers with proper coaching.
Going to Home Depot is always an experience. The one at Targee is always clean and bright. The only problem I have is finding a sales associate when I need one. Never one around when I gave questions or I get an answer of oh, I dont work in that department I learned to use my phone to locate items.
Very friendly atmosphere. People are willing to help. Some of the guys that work there might not have alot of knowledge to certain type of work which is expected but do their best to accommodate you with someone who has knowledge of the type of skill to get a job done. As far as Homedepot goes no complaints Keep up the good work.
This is my least favorite Home Depot on S.I.The selection of products is very small compared to other stores and they usually dont have much in stock. Many of the staff members are not very helpful or knowledgeable. This store is good if you need to pick up a quick item or two or if you have no other choice but to buy here.
Probably one of the worst home depots to go to in Staten island. Youre better off going to the south Staten island location. This location has nothing in order and is placed differently than what youll see on the app or website.Extremely hard to find someone to help you. Unless you come often, you wont find what you need right away. Workers wont help you if it isnt their aisle to take care of. There was a product that had 139 units in stock but no where to be found. Each worker points at another worker saying that person will help you. And of course, youll be competing with 6 other people asking for a particular willing helping worker as well.
They didnt have the crimps I was looking for but I found ones that would work for my needs anyway. They always seem to have a good selection of items, however there also always out of stock on what Im actually looking for but I usually find an alternative. So no big deal.
Very poor service they hire a lot of young kids who are not experienced they just need jobs which is understandable but they got to train them I asked a few questions because I need help getting a couple of things and I was constantly told thats not my department youll never tell a customer that regardless and what department youre walking through You always try to help them as best as you can but you never tell a customer that thats not your department You should go out of your way and find a person whos in charge of that department or who works in that department and help the customer out Thats all were asking for I was there this past Sunday and I was very disappointed Im thinking about canceling my card because I was treated very poorly, The sad part about this is Ive been with home Depot at least 12 years and to get treated like that Thats very disappointing So Im going to reconsider and I may be canceling my card.
Horrible experience after I bought Milwaukee drill set and tire inflator, I found that all the batteries are defective, so I went to return everything and the register refunded me 250$ while I did paid 341$, once I told her theres a mistake she said that I have to call Coustomer service and the managers wont help me, after useless conversation the manager came to found that she didnt scan a battery, and issued me the rest!!bty I was going to buy things but I just took my business somewhere else.
09APR2021I was waiting inline to ask a question about paint. Was very respectful and did not cut the line. I waited about 15 minutes, even though there was only 1 person in front of me. But the HomeDepot personnel was as fast as a snail. ( it felt as the bank scene from Zootopia. And finnaly when got my turn, the personnel reacted as if Omg, What Do You Want? plus the eye roll. And without even taking a look at the picture I was trying to show, replied - Oh, we do not have it.Horrible service! ZERO stars
Store is kept clean, products are neatly displayed. This allows you to quickly find what youre looking for and if you want help....an Associate can be found in the area or not too far away.In my opinion, the staff has noticeably improved over the years. The staff make it a pleasure to shop at this store by being happy to see you The customer by smiling and communicating with you.The staff excels: by being Present and willingly engage with customers which makes them more helpful, and surprisingly more knowledgeable about there stores products. In addition I have found that the store has plenty of products in stock that were in the weekly Sales Advertisement Flyer. This Home Depot has a large parking lot with plenty of handicap accessible spots.the only drawback for me are the business hours, they close too early
Big store with a lot of products. This is a popular store in staten island, all the good deals you see online will mean that this store probably doesnt have it as the multiple times that I have gone to try to purchase a good deal for multiple drills have been sold out first day of sale.
By far the worst home depot.Ordered a 1200 tool chest online and confirmed with this store that I would get a military discount upon showing receipt when picking up. Well went to pick up would not give me discount I canceled order the supervisor Johnathan was the rudest person and really needs to get training in customer relations but no problem here for now on I shop a lowes so I have to travel a little further but they give military discount and is a lot more organized and along cleaner and the people who work there are more knowledgeablr and nicer they even have veteren parking spots
Just wasted 2 hours of my life here. Either their on hands are wrong or they hide merchandise so you would buy more expensive merchandise that doesn’t sell. The employees are apathetic. Every time I go in here I can’t find what I’m looking for. Just a mess of a store. One self check out was being serviced, another is credit only and the third cash only. I put down the item I was going to purchase and left. Every single time I have a frustrating experience here. They need a new manager.
Everytime i come here its always amazing and a great time for me and my kids. The store is well organized and fresh smelling. The prices are great you can always find a great deal. The plant section is to die for and the different pots for planting are wonderful. The lines move fast and its always someone in the aisle willing to assist you. Also your never rushed while makingva choice.
Very disappointed customer service in the isles WALKING DEAD and walking away from you if you asked any questions about merchandise. I will be very happy to go HOME DEPOT ON FOREST AVENUE.even further away from me and theircustomer service in the isles comes to you and ask do you need a help ✌👍👍👍👍👍
Service is always great. Staff is always ready to help. I have been dealing with Ms. Cherylyn Holder due to an issue with a door purchased from Home Depot. Ms. Holder has. Even. Itching but kind, courteous, professional and has had slot of patience with us. This goes a long way as people can get easily frustrated and nasty. So I have nothing but a great experience. Thank you Home Depot.
We were very pleased with our visit to the Home Depot. We got help from several people in finding supplies that we needed and everybody that we dealt with was friendly and helpful from thoseIn the departments we visited; window blinds and window caulking as well as the cashier who was also excellent . We were pleasantly surprised.
The store is great! Its what goes in the parking lot. People are walking asking for money, and I had a guy in a car driving around the parking lot wanting me to give money to for his family. This place needs to be patrolled better or else people will stop shopping there.
I went to return something and the line was VERYYY LONG. Had to wait for quite some time in the hot sun. The security guard there wasnt any help. When I eventually got into the store I realize.. there was a shorter line inside to return as well and the line I was one was just for 1 salesman. Disappointing.
I know there are larger home depots with a larger selection, but i love this place. Everyone is very friendly. The prices are great and the parking is easy and always a good spot available. If you dont have a large enough vehicle there are a few vans outside that will deliver for you at a great price. Thumbs up.
Worst customer support, rude workers that think they can talk down to a customer without customer talking back. Im a contractor that does a lot of business. and becuase the guy at the paint department was a rude, smart remarking on every answers asked, I and a couple of contractors will never do business with home depot ever agian. Corprate needs to inevestigate this location, put it under new managment becuase its being runned to the ground and clean house on all the lazy workers. Items are never on the shelves. Used items are being put on the shelves and being charged as new. even the managment at this location. DONT SHOP HERE.. YOU WILL BE GOING BACK AND FORTH AND THEY DONT HELP. LAZY WORKERS. THEY FLAT OUT REFUSE TO HELP YOU. The only department thats helpful and harrd working is the lumber
The lady at the counter told me it’s national coin shortage and I wouldn’t get my coins as change back ? Example What I bought came to $10.90 i handed her a $20 and she gave me $9.05 & they think this is legal ? Why can’t they eat the .10 cents why I have to eat .85 cents !!!!!Home Depot is literally robbing people’s change & think this is just going to be ok with everyone !!!!!?
Of course it has all of your 6 or upper project home needs, But as usual help and guidance is very scarce. I rented a roto tiller for the dirt in my flower bed and the guy admitted to not being very well versed on the equipment but still did not author to get someone who had more knowledge. I told him that 1 of the blades were bent and to please mark it on the receipt and when it came down to checking out of course he completely forgot and needed to be reminded. All in all it is what you expect from home depot and if you go in expecting not to be served well then you will meet your expectations. I gave it 5 stars because it is a well stocked facility and my 1st choice for all my go to home needs. Hope this is helpful please like or comment if you feel I am wrong.
Every home depot performs bad or good depending on what neighborhood is located not that is a bad thing is just the nature of retail but this home depot in this specific location the team seems to be friendly i only ask them to open the utility cabinet and they did it quickly so I like that is also kind small but a lot option and tools
As I have said today in the conversation with Faine , the manager of Lighting department at Home Depot on SI , Home Depots service has been impeccable lately. Knowledge of employees is beyond belief. Ladies and gentlemen, employees of Home Depot, deserve at most respect and admiration.
Would have given 0 stars if possible for the extremely frustrating online ordering experience recently. I placed an online order for in-store pickup on October 5th for an item that showed as being available. The estimated delivery date was between October 16-21 - slower than I expected, but the tracking information showed that the package was shipping from Arizona, so fine. As October 21 approached, I received an update that the package is still on the way, but is delayed with a new estimated arrival date of October 23. Fine - delays happen. The 23rd rolls around and the package is still in transit; now Im getting annoyed since its holding up my home improvement plans. I decide to call Home Depot to inquire about the delay, and their response was basically just, Oh well its late. We dont know why. Theres nothing we can do...very infuriating, but I decide to stay patient and give them another chance. On the 24th I see that the package is now in NJ. Cool, were making progress - should not be much longer, right? Its now the 29th of October and there has been no updates since the 24th, so I call again. It turns out that the physical package itself never shipped!! According to the representative, the item I ordered is back-ordered, and that the tracking must have just been for the order paperwork itself...what?!?! Ive been waiting over 3 weeks for a package that was never actually in transit, and was misled to believe the entire time that it was on the way but just experiencing some delays!?! I immediately cancelled my order. This is completely unacceptable and has completely soured my impression of Home Depot. The way I see it, either Home Depot was being deliberately deceitful or their system is wholly inadequate at accurately tracking order status...neither of which reflects well on them.
Dissatisfied how Home Depot let these stores go. The aisles are in disarray, and dirty. While were in this time some people look for normalcy from our retailers. But Home Depot looks like theyve lost their core values. Someone needs to pop into one of those stores unannounced and walk it too see what were seeing as customers.
This is the best Home Depot Ive ever been to. I can always find friendly help and greeters. I also dont understand the other reviewers assertions about the neighborhood. No one asked you to review the neighborhood. Your fear is showing, dont take it out on this perfectly good store, which is, incidentally a tenth of a mile from my house, very convenient.
Wonderful experience I went in store looking for blinds I found a wonderful person named Steve from flooring and blinds he was getting pulled in all directions from customers cause I believe staff was short and he was dealings with 5 customers at one time and still was able to help all of us and accommodate each and every one of us and thats just when I was there Im sure with no doubt he does this all time he made the craziness of the store go so smoothly for my purchases and Im sure everyone else great mean great employee!!!!!!!!!!
Ordered a two-piece toilet. Waited 3 weeks for it to come, surprise surprise !! They sent ONE piece instead of two. Had to re-order and wait for another piece to come. But wait ! Theres more ! Came to pick up the toilet finally, surprise yet again ! Its completely broken. Shattered. Had to take it back and refund it, when called to find out status in home depot if they have received it, got a bunch of attitude from a worker. Absolutely crazy, honestly. If you dont have a toilet at home, and now need to buy one, home depot is not the place to go. Save yourself the headache.
Accommodating and knowledgeable staff. My son asked for donated materials for his boy scout eagle project. Not only did they give graciously, but they called other businesses for advice and more donations. I have since gone back several times for my own purchases and have been treated well by every employee I encountered. I will continue to show my patronage at this store even though I live closer to the HD on Forest.
Of all three Home Depots on Staten Island this one is the absolute worst. Do not go there looking for anything such as home decor it is mostly nuts and bolts utilitarian stuff. If you want to see nicer stuff go to the one by the Outerbridge or Lowes. This one is only good in a pinch and even then its a toss-up whether or not they will have what you need. Terrible selection. Oh and by the way terrible service too. For something minor try to support your mom and pop hardware shop they usually have the hard to find stuff anyway.
I bought a transportable air condition LG. when I took it home the was no remote no hose to connect. I took it back to the store only to be told I had to buy such parts like remote/hose etc. I ask for refund went somewhere esle and got say for 240$+ tax w everything inside Home depot was 288$ after a 5% with no attachments. Actually, I think they should be more aware of their products and staff should give better information. Maybe this box was opened and someone returned the dam thing.
Im giving this location 4 stars because of the accessibility I live literally around the corner. I havent personally had any bad experiences with employees actually there is one older African American man that if I need help he points me in the right direction seems like he never has a day off
This has got to be the worst home depot Ive ever been to, and Ive lived quite a few places. They dont even have many of the supplies you take for granted, like schedule 40 pvc fittings. The parking lot sucks and only has entrances on one ways. Its also right next to the projects, so unless you enjoy driving through those you better make the right turns the first time.
This stores General Manager, Claudio, is a JOKE. I had an ongoing problem (3 rescheduled delivery dates and 1 week of speaking with associates who stated they didnt know what was going on or blamed someone else) receiving appliances I had already PAID for almost 2 weeks prior. I traveled to the store, for the 2ND TIME (Im 9 months pregnant) to speak to someone directly, after leaving multiple messages to cancel my order, to stand there for 25 mins after the general manager was paged and called at his office to literally watch him almost run of the store, in front of me (I asked an associate what Claudio looked like and he described him to the T, while another associate stated he had just walked out) in the company of a female who had obviously been with him the entire time. They both quickly looked around and with smiles on their faces as if they were escaping the scene of a crime, made their way to his truck where he opened the door for her, they both got in and drove away. Is he kidding?! Ive dealt with some very kind and personable associates at this location who tired to help me and then ppl like this ridiculously unprofessional manager with not one bit of concern for his customers. Needless to say, i cancelled my order. They wont be receiving MY money and contacted the corporate off. I recommend to try buying appliances at Best buy where the associates are much more knowledgeable and trustworthy.
Staff here are not very friendly. I had to pick up an online order and one of the workers/manager I don’t know who, got a really bad attitude with me because the store was closing. She wouldn’t let me pick up my order at all. She just told me “You never called toAsk if you can pick it up this late”. Like I’m a customer, I don’t have to call to ask permission to pick up my order.I’d honestly rather deal with another location because of these people here. So rude!
Been going to home depot since they came to NY. Rented tools, trucks, remodeled bathrooms, various projects. So when I had a birthday party it was only fit people got me gift cards. The 25 dollar cards worked, but when it came to the 140 dollar one it was drained 4 days after it was bought at this home depot. Obvious GIFT CARD FRAUD and its happening on the inside probably within mid level management between the targee store and the Hamilton ave store. The card was used without the numbers or pin scratched off and still glued to the cardboard blocking the barcode,so its obvious it was employees that had access to the computer system.Dont shop at those 2 stores especially dont buy large gift cards. Home depot corporate or the store will not refund you or even hear your case, they wont stand by their product after obvious theft.Just go to lowes same products, same prices and store is a little neater and restocked more efficiently.
I wanted to share the awesome experience I had yesterday...I bought a Fireplace TV stand and everyone was so helpful. Mike from seasonal, Eden from Service Desk, Kiesha from Service Desk, Jennylee from Service Desk, Angel and Jermaine. Tyson from Service Desk, Mario. Jerome. Everyone was so helpful and went above and beyond. Forever Thankful.
Had a great experience during several visits to this home Depot branch on Targee Ave, the workers in the the isles and by every section seem to be very knowledgeable with all there stuff and extremely helpful to the customers (better than I experienced in many other home depot branches)
Staff is worthless and ignores you if you look at the appliances. Seems they don’t really want to sell appliances. Total waste of time going here. People that work there are lazy and chat and play with their cell phones while ignoring customers. Obviously not the whole store but the appliance people.
The flooring department is a joke, theres seems to be many options of hardwood flooring from different types of woods and different finishes......the low scoring is because the people who work that area are incompetent and lazy. Go elsewhere for your flooring needs, lumber liquidators had competitive prices and the help there was astronomically better.

Home depot has everything you need for your, home and or buisness. Plumbing, electrical, kitchens, bathrooms, floors, moldings, doors, windows, lumber, gardening, hoses, gravel, rocks, concrete, lighting, filters, cleaning supplies, paint, carpet, tiles, every tool you need to buy or possibly rent. Truck rentals, holiday decorations, landscaping. Although if you need help need you might need to find someone to assist you.
Just the other day I needed a channel lock asked a sales person where would I go to find channel locks he said to me looking straight in my face what is that I said something that looks like a pair of pliersHe said I don’t know what that is walked away didn’t say let me get you someone to help you nothing I just don’t understand then I spoke to a Gentleman in plumbing I was scared to ask him anything cause he sound like he was upset me asking him questions maybe in the training to work for Home Depot you guys should train people how to be more nice to your customers I spend close to $900 for me to get that type of treatment maybe Home Depot needs to retrain it’s employees in better Customer service
Couldnt find what i needed. It was pretty tough looking for what i needed by looking at the signs over head. So i asked a few people. The majority of the staff i asked didnt know where anything was and looked to their phones which answered nothing. I ended up eventually finding someone who knew the store and helped me
This is the closest Home Depot to me so I always come here, despite others telling me to stay away from the neighborhood. Ive never had a real problem here, I do a lot of online orders and then pick-up in store, Im generally in and out in 10 minutes or so at the Customer Service desk
If I could give it negative stars I would. Horrible customer service, they have no idea what stock they have. And if you call be prepared to be hung up on about 5 times then wait on hold for 15 min. This is not a rant I lived across the street since they have been open and I go to the one on forest ave.
This place is horrible they never have what you need their inventory is almost nothing Ive gone in there for almost a month now looking for clear plastic bags and I swear the same palette empty palette is been sitting on the same floor when you talk to somebody they scatter I would suggest going out to Tottenville or the Forest avenue never go to Park Hill and unfortunately its close to my house so I got to drive across town in order to find something
It is impossible to even get a Department associate on the phone without getting hung up on or left on hold indefinitely. What a joke. Multi billion dollar business and no quality control. I would assume they just write off the locations like targee and south ave as hopeless .........

2022-06-19I came to home Depot today to buy some masonry products, as usual there was nobody to help me. I was looking on the shelf when a guy in a Fork truck and a guy with a flag came down the aisle and told me that I had to move out of the aisle. Im sorry but home Depot wants to be the One-Stop shop for all home improvements and yet instead of asking me how can they help me they told me to move. Additionally Ive been waiting for 10 minutes for a manager to appear has she appeared perhaps if you would not have gone online. If you know what you need just come in and buy it if you need help go someplace else.

2020-08-27This place is a mess!!! The customer service in the isles is horrible nobody’s there answering any questions or helping you find stuff !!! THEY ACTUALLY WALK AWAY FROM YOU WHEN YOU ASK THEM A QUESTION THIS PLACE NEEDS A TOTAL RE-do it’s a run down hardware store the only reason I gotta go there is because I’m working so close to it . The prices are not anything special THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THEM ONE STAR IS BECAUSE the cash register employees are nice and fast had some good deals on tiles but this Home Depot is for roughing out a home not good for getting finish product.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! THE ONE ON FOREST AVE IS 100 times better!!!

2022-05-18Staff less than helpful. Operations Manager is an obtuse fool who will make payment policy for debit cards with damaged chips not acceptable for payment for goods and or services.

2022-01-04I can never seem to find someone to assist when looking for tool upgrades or basic advice on what is the best bang for my buck. Seems everywhere is understaffed. Good selection otherwise. Just wish more associates would assist per section.

2022-02-06It was very good with the staff but a lot of the supplies are running out. The staff is very helpful in trying to find the stuff you are looking for I give them and A+ for that.
