They blame each for not doing their jobs instead of taking care of their customers. Took me 30mns to receive my propane tanks being sent from cashiers to customer service , from customer service to cashiers. Never going back here. I would rather go to bruckner way better there
Youre Never Really AloneMy sister and I went to our local Home Depot to buy a few odds and ends. Every step we took left us needing answers to our newly created questions. So many curious sites, so little time. I needed to redo my ceramic toothbrush holder and soap dish thats permanently affixed to my bathroom wall. I know... So ancient. I had them painted oil rubbed bronze with the aid of a primer... But that was a while ago, and its time for a touch up.I already had the remainder of the paint in my home. Now, where did I put that paint???? Well...Hunt as I did, find as I did not. So, It was time to go to the store to, yet again, purchase the same paint I hid from myself those many years ago.The first gentleman to help me was very nice. He walked up and involuntarily initiated the conversation. You ladies need help with something? I guess the fact that we were both looking in opposite directions while standing still in the middle of the aisle kinda made that apparent.He told us about the primer, brought us to it, and then turned around and brought us to the oil rubbed bronze spray paint chained area. What a doll. He waved to us while walking backwards out of the aisle and just like that... as mysteriously as he appeared...He was out of sight.We purchased a few more odds and ends, oood and aaaahd at all of the stones we wanted for our dream homes, drooled over the refrigerators, then departed for the register.Salvador was wonderful in helping us find the photo batteries I needed for my home security system, and then we left for home.Seriously though....Home Depot is packed with every tool you could ever want... And thats coming from a former Amtrak electrician. Lots of home goods too, including recycling bags and trash bags. They even have a garden section for that green thumb youre hiding behind your back. Dont even try it...I already saw it.They can create any paint color you want, all you have to do is stop by the paint section, show him what you want and theyll create it for you. They also have a selection of oops paints dirt cheap. Oops paints are colors that didnt come out quite the way the customer thought theyd like, or paint that was ordered and never picked up, or returned for whatever reason. Regardless of the reason... One mans trash is another mans treasure.As a fellow nerd, Im obligated to tell you...I live for this experience because I could never get enough hardware. I love tools, technology, and having a terrific time wandering through all the many many aisles of Home Depot.Try them, theres always someone there waiting to accommodate, and no matter what others say... Awesome place great workers very helpful and large and filled with everything you would need hardware related. One little issue I have is the lack of inventory which is common during the covid pandemic but this store is lacking inventory more so than its sister stores. Im not sure its because of its popularity and that its always consistently busy but I would assume Management can just increase the frequency of its receiving services. Therefore bit sure if they have total control of this annoyance so I only deducted one star and left the other four for its attributes that I mentioned earlier. After just two store visits I have changed my personal Home depot to this particular location regardless of the farther destination or over one hour compared to the exterior one that is a short distance from my house. It also helps that service here is fair and helpful compared to the bias racially engaging workers of the afore me ruined home Depot in Exterior place.

Stopped in the store today to pick up a few items A metal grinder A tile cutter Some ceramic adhesive , As usual everything I needed The Home Depot had . I cant say it enough this door has everything but home repairs or upgrades They always remain consistent
Vinetta from the door and window section was incredibly helpful! I went on a Saturday and she told me she couldnt answer a specific question until she spoke to the vendor on Monday because they were closed over the weekend. She told me shed call me with the answer to my question between 11:15 a -12 noon.. sure enough she did! She kept her word and was incredibly helpful! Great employee!
Came here hoping for a better selection than the other Bronx/Manhattan locations but wasn’t worth it. Checked the website beforehand to see if they had a particular item and it said it was in stock. When I got there I found the SKU label on the shelf but it was filled with a different item. Also had to ask a cashier to call for help getting a locked up item. As I saw and made eye contact with the attendant as he approached, he asked another (male) customer if he was the one who called for help before proceeding to walk right past me (female) although I was standing right in front of the case. In the end, I didn’t have much luck and have had an easier time finding what I need and getting good service at the Manhattan locations.
The absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced! I ordered a vanity for my bathroom and waited all day for a delivery that never arrived. No phone call, no text, no email, no notification what so ever. When I called customer service to see what happened they couldn’t care less and put me on hold and never came back. The worst experience I’ve ever had when dealing with a retail store. The last time I order from this dump!!
I was here last night with my aunt & we were so confused on what materials we needed. Vance was extremely helpful, informative, friendly and funny! Jose was also super helpful! They each deserve a raise & promotion! They went above and beyond to help us out. This will definitely be our go to store for now on! :)
Here is the customer service experience that should be the example for all. My partner and I were in the store and got asked, may I help you with something (after being in the store for a good amount of time in different sections). That was all she wrote. The gentleman Himeh was extremely knowledgeable about basically the entire store, wow! He went over flooring and it was so refreshing..When people are awesome at what they do it is such an amazing feeling. This gentleman genuinely knew about products, installation, and was able to compare to different states, STATES! Wow..So if you go to this store just skip being told I dont work in this area(not that its anything wrong with that so long as there is no attitude), and ASK FOR Himeh because he knows his stuff and is personable..All places should employ those who are happy in their positions......

Tidiness has improved over the years. In-store shopping is better than the website, as they have variations on the shelf that arent listed or cant be shipped.Wheelchair and Walker accessibility is good, but many things are inaccessible on deep or high shelves, and assistance may be needed in bending or reaching.Ironically, with fewer customers in store, they actually have sufficient staff for possibly the first time in their history. Hey Home Depot, hire more staff when things get better!
When they have the item you are looking for its fine. But usually you cant find some items they should have like a nail in a certain size. They have a space in the shelf for items, but no item. Or the website says they have an item and when you get there, they dont. You often find people in the aisle screaming for help or complaining to one another.
Still Hard to get help at this location. The staff is few and far between which makes it hard to get help when you need. Because of this, usually once youre getting help, a bunch of other people jump in or are standing around the associate. Despite this, for the most part all associates are knowledgeable and helpful. Try and do your own research on what you need before you go because it will save you a lot of time.
My most recent visit to Home Depot on E. Gun Hill Road was very pleasant. Upon entering the store and getting on the pickup line, I noticed the department was short staffed. Luckily, one of the store associates (Lucia) noticed the line beginning to form and jumped into action. She was able to provide exceptional service to myself and another customer, almost simultaneously! This ability to multi-task cut down on my wait time, and made me feel welcomed and valued. I should also note that Covid protocols were taken by her and the rest of the staff, which made me feel safe. The customer service I received that day made my day much brighter and happier. I made sure I shared this with the store manager. Keep up the great work!
Mostly standard or stock parts. Lumbar cut to size. Good selection and knowledgeable staff (except for the checkout clerks -1star) the cashiers at polite as are the help in the aisles.. Good for 90% of your needs..the rest may have you hunting for mom & pop stores or custom fabrications.
Its great if you want to buy a hammer and nails and do it yourself stuff. If you want homedepot to do it, then that you better go some place else. I did or I should say still doing shades for my home with them. they got the order wrong so many times I can believe it! The shades were too short then, too big, then lost. What a mess!! As of this post I have not gotten all my shades. Its been so bad they gave me back some money. That was good, but Im still waiting for the last shade. then I have to have it installed. They dont do that, so it goes to a third party vendor. then I have to wait for them. I started this project in April! Its still not done! Need I say more.
A little awkward to get into but other than that it’s a good store. There aren’t many options when it comes to the garden section. The mainly have peppers and tomatoes that are ready for planting, so if you want other varieties you’ll have to buy the seeds. The flowers are decent too, not much of an option over there as well. Though they do carry a ton of wild flowers. I haven’t seen this store packed and the lines usually go by fast. I still prefer Lowe’s lol.
This location is poor on customer service. They have a promotional sale going on with the Philips smart bulbs when you buy two you get the control free (which is @ $15 value). I couldnt spot the control, I figured it would be in the same area. So instead of looking for longer I asked the man working in the aisle to help me out he said another customer had the same issue. He continued to explain that they only have 4 controls left but doesnt know where they are anymore. He was only useless because he didnt offer to explain that to the cashier. When I went to checkout to purchase these bulbs I had to explain the issue all over again to her & show her a picture from my phone of the promotion going on. She said Ill help you with that & then at a point she just walked away I was calling her back but Im just going to assume she didnt hear me. My boyfriend & mother claimed she already helped me and I told them that they were probably confused as to what was going on. When checking my receipt I noticed she gave me some kind of discount of $2.40 on each bulb, which made no sense. 1st of all the control is worth about $15 & I much rather get that instead of $15 off my purchase. Anyways the end result after speaking to Home Depots customer service is to take another trip to the location to speak to the manager (mind you when I called I asked to speak to a manager & I wasnt granted that request. Instead I spoke to an associate that claimed they have no promotion going on to begin with.) If the manager cant help with the issue then my only choice is to return it & just order it online. Im pretty sure Ill receive the control then.
Jermaine an associate here hands down....STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE he went above and beyond the call of duty for myself and my family and two other customers. This young man provided such great service my family signed up for your credit card and shopped 3 days in a row. The unfortunate part is I did not like how his manager talked to Jermaine while helping us. Its because of him we spent so much. Good customer service is so rare to find. And Jermaine is a rare kind. He is so sincere and patient. I will always go back to the Bronx, NY on East Gun Hill Road location because of Jermaine only. Thank you so much for an awesome job on helping my family Jermaine. When everyone heard how we were praising him for an outstanding job other customers huddled over to get him to assist them as well. He needs a promotion and a raise. He was so knowledgeable on Home depot products and programs.
Your average Home Depot and nothing special about it. Stock is normally good except for your power tools which it’s a 50/50 on with them always having half the tools out of stock. Cleanliness is not the best, which can be an issue especially during COVID. Staff is decent, couple bad faces in there that could care less about helping. Only very bright side would be the plants.
It is extremely helpful for shoppers to review items online. So, you sort of know what you’re looking to complete at home. I went here for boxes recently and was pleasantly surprised with the help received. The representative asked what type of items I wanted to move. Once I told him, he immediately suggested I use small heavy duty boxes for books. Because books become heavy in boxes really quickly. The type of box suggested red comes with two handles on the side.
The parking lot is filthy. Maybe the guys that are standing around looking for work should be hired to clean the parking lot.. The lumber is so-so at best. A lot of bowed pieces of lumber. It takes a lot of patience to go through the pieces of lumber to get what you will be satisfied with.
Went there yesterday to pick up a drill and a few other items it took almost an hour for anybody to even assist me and getting help with the drill. I was told the associate whos in charge of the drill section would be right with me an hour later nobody. I asked about five different other employees if they could help me only one was willing. Today I called to find out the availability of window shade and screens Etc before going there because I dont want to waste my time. I was left on hold for 25 minutes transfer 2 or 3 times because apparently theres only one person in the store they can let me know if there is any window shades available. I was then put on hold for another 10 minutes were then somebody hung up on me.
You guys didnt put the manufacturers product in an actual brown box! LITERALLY left it out on my doorstep, OPEN AND COMPLETELY EXPOSED!! Wrote my address ON THE MANUFACTURERS PRODUCT! I was so shocked!Thank goodness my neighbor stepped in and let the delivery man know to make a note in letting me know he had my package to allude all possibility of a potential theft! So very disappointed because I was so looking forward to making additional purchases for the coming holiday 💔🎄 but given the circumstances of how my package were handled with disregard, I cant say that I trust I could receive my order in good faith
The level of service at this location needs improvement. I recommend using the app or website to shop for the item you want and use the supplied aisle and bin information to locate the item in the store. This will save you time and headaches. Personally, I prefer going to the New Rochelle location.
I’ve been renovating my co op since July I’ve spent 10k. Plus all in this store and I’m still treated as if I’m gaining to streal something at the self check out. I told the cashier that forced me to let her help me hence deflates the term self check out. Then when i clearly explain that the 3 led smart lights are last because I’m not sure if I’m going to get them right now she not only doesn’t allow me to make a final decision. She takes them 2 registers Down behind me while I’m looking in my wallet... I had to then tell her 3 times I wanted them for her to go retrieve-them only for her to hand them to another cashier still in self check out to ring them up for me.... I will never come back to this store in my life I will go to Lowe’s for now own and I will be returning everything I brought today you do not deserve my hard earned money!!!!’n
My mother and I came to this Home Depot to buy some new exteriors doors. We knew exactly what we wanted by looking online but unfortunately arriving to the store, we discovered they did not carry what we originally had in mind to buy. We felt a bit overwhelmed and disappointed with having to start the process over again in-store and the possibility of having to settle for an alternative. Along came Christine who provided us a SUPERB customer experience by ensuring we receive all the assistance we needed throughout the process. Christine connectedus to other amazing support personnel like Eric who have us great advise and ensured we selected quality products for an affordable price. Christine, Eric, and another young gentleman made us feel like we were the only customers in the store by giving us their full undivided attention and ensuring my mother and I left satisfied and happy customers. We cant thank them enough for the help they provided. If youre looking to be treated like a valued customer, this is place to go!
I enjoyed the place lots of things to buy founder things I wanted cashier was wonderful the people in the front guiding people in and out should have been there cleaning the carriage and making it sure that it was safe but they didnt thank God I have my own alcohol wipes to wipe the carriage I was very disappointed in that but the cashier was wonderful respectful nice and courteous the people that I asked for my things they really didnt know where it was I was looking for the heater to bring up my heater thermostat and the guy gave me the runaround one told me it was one aisle then the next aisle I was going around his circle which they really themselves didnt know where the items was but all in what I had a nice time thank you very much they could have been better and keeping the carriage clean if they have a front guy in front she he should have made sure that when we came in we have alcohol wipes to wipe out those carriage I couldnt understand that was annoyed so many alcohol wipes and they didnt have none for the customer damn shame they could do better we spending our money we need to be safe but thank God I have my own alcohol pads which a lot of people didnt thank you
Im giving this store only two stars because of the appearance of the parking lot.Ive been to a lot of home depots here in the NY area and in other states. the first thing I noticed when pulling into the parking lot was how dirty it was. the parking lot looked like it has not been cleaned in months if not longer. the manager show have someone clean the parking because this is the first appearance of the store.
Took multiple trips to get our entire pick up order. Customer service staff was not able to be helpful and repeatedly had to seek assistance for a simple order pick up. Had multiple staff members tell me that something wasnt their fault when they should have been trying to solve the problem. I dont care whose fault it is you dont have my order ready. Just get my order ready.
Every thing for all your household needs and plenty for stores businesses backyards basements roofs you name it they have it one stop shopping place clean well stocked and lots of store employees to assist you with anything and every question you need an answer to in door out door plants large variety of household decorations and fixtures you have to stop by and make sure your not in a hurry so many great items to find that you didnt know exist go there open till 9pm open early great Dee you there
People were cutting off at the self service checkout because there was no organized line signs and they ran out of shopping bags so I had to put all the little screws packs in my pocket and carry the bigger stuff. While all of that could fit in one bag of they had any. Staff at the floor was helpful though so no complaints on their end.
Horrible, I was looking for gas lines and other things needes to connect my gas dryer that I purchased use from a friend. And it was my 1st making this insulation. I did research online Prior to coming. Thank God ! I done that!! They was totally the guy that was working the isle that all the dryer connectios was in was totally clueless. All he did point and say it should be down there or over there Everytime I asked for something. He was short with ever reply as if I was bothering him. Or was intupting his from his music he playing and singing in his headphones.SB: Before I even approached I was one end of the isle he was at the other end doing the “SHMONEY DANCE”. No Lie 🙌🏾 smh
I am happy to say that even before I got to ( H D ) I was being helped by one of its employees when I stepped off the bus I recivied an escort to ( H D ) from a security guard that works for the ( H D ) I have a medical condition and I would of never been able to get to the ( H D ) with out his help on that day so I am glad and thankful for the service that he provided to me on that day he let me know that I still have real life Left in me even with my medical condition that I can still walk far when push comes to shove I didnt get his name but he knows who he is and I am blessed of him being at the right place at the right time on that day may God keep on blessings you sir I will do as much business with the ( H D ) as I can thanks for your great employees.
Big box hardware store like all the other locations. But this place was a mesh, literally all there inventory was all over the place. I lucked out and was able to find what i need, only to find the sump pump I brought there was used, now I have to go back and return it, what a JOKE!!!
They had one massive pandemic line, which moved pretty good. However, when some registers went down it became chaotic with little leadership to be found. Then when I tried to purchase a set of individual floor tiles, I was told they can only be purchased by the box. Even though there were TWO signs on the shelves for TWO different prices when purchased individually. Ive always known this particular Home Depot was trash, bit this was peak stuff.
I always try to give this home Depot a chance and every time they make me ask why I come here today a cashier said he couldnt help me with a price because he had customers.My thought was I am a customer and customer service is your job this whole store needs to be retrained or find employees that enjoy and know how to deal with the public everyone here has the this isnt my department canned response.I gave it one star because no stars isnt an option
This place is great if you know what you go there for and where to find it. Otherwise go else where. Went 2x this month. Once for vertical blinds and once for some paint. Oh on the paint yes the guy was helpful because I needed the paint at a certain colour . But for the blinds...SMFH ....a worker fine pointed me in the direction. The direction where you wont find anyone to help. I found the section of the blinds..broken blind..incomplete blinds. What I didnt find after walking back and forth was someone to help me. So i went to Lowes. That didnt go too well either. Store on the internet got my order. Good luck my ppl.
This home depot I will not return to. The staff is not friendly at all. If you ask them a question they act like youre bothering them. I asked the cashier about a bag, she tried to act like she didnt hear me. I had to get loud and she called someone else to help me. If you dont want to deal with people find a different . Only 1 employee Marisa was helpful, thats the only reason Im not giving them a one.
When to purchase standing heater but depot didnt have, ran out. On their website, it did say lasko heater available, disappointed. They should update website regularly, daily. I did find faucet sink set, line pipe, and nitrile black gloves. When to Target for heater.
Im not happy with home depot at all. I ordered a patio set and on the day of my delivery was told that they did not have it available. In addition i had to call twice for my refund. I ask if i can order something online and get a better price. I was told that i had to go to the store personally. Customer service is terrible. Very unprofessional.
I knew what I wanted and where its located, so my visit is usually pretty quick. My delay was cause from some registers only accepting card transactions and some taking cash transactions. It has been this way for quite some time now. I cant understand why all registers arent equipped to handle cash and card transactions.
Decent Home Depot located near most major highways. Always has a pretty solid stock, and is a really good spot given the mall at Bay Plaza is only a few minutes away as well. Theres also a smaller shopping center with a 99 Cent Store, Jim, bank, and the Dunkin Donuts. So all-in-all a very useful location with most things youll need to get your shopping list checked off.

We were looking to buy a tool for a screw that we needed to get out to replace a battery in our motorcycle. We were anxious because we had tried tools from auto zone and other places. We were helped by one of the employees and the the tool he recommended actually worked like a charm and saved our day. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Very large parking lot attached to building that is free. Has almost anything to repair your home in stock or can order it on a day or two. Friendly and knowledgeable staff you steer you in the right direction. Also had home appliances in stock or readily available for delivery of you need.
Always bustling with customers/contractors, loads of products flowing in and out of the store. We) stocked, rarely ever out of any item, plenty of staff to advise and/or assist, lots of self help areas, clearly labeled shelves and aisles, you go to get one thing and end up leaving with four. My mom and aunt visit the garden section religiously. A gamut of household and houseware items also! 😀😀😀
Its kind of a hit or miss at this location if you need help. Some people dont really know what they are talking about, but will do their best to assist (even though it would kind of be more helpful for them to offer the advice, but admit that they are unsure). They are always very nice though. On my last visit, a dude with an awesome arm tattoo saved the day! He was ridiculously helpful and knowledgeable.
This time I visited the HomeDepot near CoOpCity in the Bronx. The parking and traffic flow in and out is horrible so your 1st impression is not favorable. The 2nd thing I noticed is that the parking area is dirty and not a well thoughtout design. After entering the store it felt like any other HomeDepot with each section layedout as any other except for the customer service secton, which is confusing. I was able to find what I am looking for with the help of an associate. The checkout was not great with especially standing on what they call a covid-19 line that seem to invite the virus more so than prevent it. Each person stand directly behind each other so as you advance through the line you occupy the exact space the person infront of you were standing, breathing the sourounding air in the spaces in the sides of your mask. It would be a better solution if people stood in a stagnant line verses directly behind the next person even if they are 6 feet apart and some dont know what 6 feet is or choose to ignore the place holders on the floor. Over all, this HomeDepot gets a 3 star rating from me but it is well supplied so you will most likely find what u are looking for.
My 14 year old grandson and I went to get parts for a project . The first two employees kept pointing where to go but would not help. I was happy to know that there still people who love their job and are willing to help. He stayed and looked for the part,measured, and cut them. Because of him I will keep going to the home Depot on gunhill road
The customer service at this location is unmatched! Specifically, Suzette completely blew us away with her eagerness to help over the phone and in person as well. In these times, it’s nice to know someone like Suzette is willing to extend a helping hand!!! Thank you Suzette!!!!
Those Home Depot especially here in the Bronx.. has very poor service their workers are lazy and always have an excuse for not to help you.. Im really sad and disappointed but sometimes we have no choice to buy in those Depots because is in our . Neighbors and we have to use it like it or not.. . I feel sad because is . Very disrespectful for our community to have those kinds of stores with very rude and poor training workers..... I love Home Depot used to be my favorite. Store...but .because of the workers now Im going to start use different stores too.. 🙂Im just another customer
Went for some folding chairs I saw on their website. 11.99 each and it indicates in stock at Gunhill rd location. We where told it was an online offer only. Later I called an employee for help and she said no and kept walking.At the register, I was waiting for a cashier when an employee called next. I went to the self check out and asked her to ring the two chairs for me. She just grunted is self service. You (meaning me) do it. What if I need help I asked. She just turned and walked away. I needed cash back on my purchase but the self check out didnt order the option. I called the employee and explained my problem. She rudely told me no cash back on self check outI replied, I asked if youd help and you just walked away. Just go to customer service she directs me.Needless to say she and the other employee I dealt with where very rude and in no way helpful or even in the holiday spirit.The young lady at customers service was kind, helpful and made me feel much better about shopping there
We went to Home Depot to get a new fridge for my parents and we walked in and straight back to the fridges and we were in that section for a few minutes looking around and found one that might be a good fit for the kitchen but it took about 6minutes before anyone approached us and he wasnt the most helpful person. We told him we needed to call home to get the proper measurements and he Left. We werent impressed with the prices or the selection, so we left.
Bad experience. Need to order custom made wood Blinds for windows. No one to help. After asking a few people,a young clerk went to get someone.Came back and told me to wait, a young lady will come and help us.I waited a while and no one came around.I would never go back to this store.
The most patient , kind hearted assistance received from Bob, who was at the lumbar area on 3/11. Very knowledgeable and explained exactly how to work on my project to ensure the end result is a DIY with a positive outcome. Without his help, I was buying the wrong products which would have been a disaster. Thx to him I have the confidence and right tools to tackle my project. Much appreciation. Bob is a gem 🤗
Cashier mellicea was great there was some issues with pricing and she was very patient and helpful with resolving the issue for me.Also associate Luis was great helping choose paint.This store is not my usual store but store was very neat and stocked except for the tiles I wanted haha but customer service was an great.
Some of the young staff need to stay home learn how to do their job properly. One young girl, rude and unprofessional wad on her phone and seemed bothered that I asked for assistance. However there are some of the staff that are very attentive and helpful to customers.
I got exactly what I needed. However, I ordered online for curbside pickup but still was required to park my car and stand on a long line to pickup my order (standing one hour till it was my turn) instead of waiting in my car. That was very difficult because I am handicapped and walk with a cane. It really hurt my back. The order clerk was nice enough to help carry my order out to my car.
Thomas and Terrell helped me with my in store pick up purchase. They both went above and beyond to make sure I received my product and was happy. They were both very friendly and curtious. Will definetly shop here again because of these 2 workers. They each get a 10 star rating in my book.
I just returned from the most humiliating shopping trip in my entire life. As a frequent shopper at Home Depot Gun hill Road location, I learn never to ask their employees for help ever! Speaking from several terrible experiences I just my items and get out fast. But today I’m writing this review completely humiliated and patronized. For the past several months I have been watching a door in the clearance section. Today I saw that it was further reduced so I decided to jump on this deal. My shopping cart was full so I decided to make 2 trips. I placed the door on the right carousel and proceeded to check out. The very irate lady cashier yelled at me to take the door back because it’s not for sale. I politely explained to her that this merchandise was among many 1 of many other clearance doors and if she could call the manager. She snapped that I’m the manager and no cashier will check it out. Another cashier was dismissive in tone. I was left confused but not surprised because only a few weeks ago the refused to accept my gift certificate because it was on my phone. They said the only accept printed paper gc!!🤦♂️ So I left feeling humiliated, like I was chased out and that my $$ was no good. I’m posting the item barcode from May 2019 and today. Seems I like Home Depot gun hill only hire thugs with bad attitudes to intimate customers. No wonder this store is always disorganized, dirty and stocked with inferior merchandise. I promise never to return here ever!!!!!
I love Home Depot 😍. Its one of my favorite places to go in general. This location is nicely stocked. The only issue I have it that the workers can get a little snippy, but Im not there for the employees... Im there for the supplies lol Outside of that, like the place!
This is probably the best home depot Ive ever visited. The paint department mixed the custom high gloss for our door in 8 minutes. They are open late, and their tellers are fast. The only grief is the location, which is a bit out of the way, and you have to enter through a specific entrance or drive around a while to get back to it. All in all, very helpful.
I had a wonderful experience with NaNa (hope I’m spelling her name correctly). My mother could not locate her receipt, which I thought would result in a painstaking experience; however, NaNa provided excellent customer service, which made the return process seamless. Additionally, my mother was able to replace the returned item with no hassle. Super grateful!
Jonathan in the flooring dept was very helpful and fun, let me tell you this is a first in my many visits to this location. I usually have to find an associate for help and when I do Im told this is not my dept or when they see you approaching they turn around and disappear. Jonathan your great attitude for work will take you far....wish you the best..
Terrible service. With a few exceptions, people at this store dont know what they are doing, that is, if you are lucky to find anyone who could answer a question. Paying for the items is a nightmare, most auto-pay kiosk are non-working and be ready to spend valuable time waiting at the long lines for the one or two cashiers with real people. BTW, the parking lot is a nightmare. Every time I go there I find a new scratch/mark on my car.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!!!! Everytime I called customer service (no matter the time of day), no one answered. I waited for about 2 hours yesterday until someone finally answered. I wanted to be transferred to the flooring dept to inquire about my floors which was paid for but not delivered on schedule date, and no one followed up with me. But once transferred, I had to wait again, until a worker who was passing by said she heard the phone ringing but no one was at the desk of the flooring dept. She was helpful in telling me the woman who placed the order for my floors wasnt there, and that she would call me back once she looked into the matter. But of course she didnt call me back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
The staff werent too friendly....could be bc i went at 7A, they alsowerent too knowledgeable in the gardening dept. I asked for fabric smart pots & they had no cluewhat I was talking about even after describing in great detail. The only real help i received was from the manager & shift supervisor.
As a contractor, I visit many diff home improvement stores. This is one of the worst ones. The shelves are never stocked and are very disorganized, the staff appears to be for some reason all Jamaican, which is odd. Theyre very slow to assist and not knowledgeable by any means. Theres never an adequate number of cashiers and the prodesk blasts loud music at times. Its a very unprofessional environment. I hope the management does a better job improving this store.
I absolutely detest this Home Depot store. The checkout process is ALWAYS unnecessarily long and cumbersome. They NEVER have any helpful employees to assist you with any questions you may have. The ONLY time this store is running at peak efficiency is when a District Manager or someone of that stature is visiting the store. Then and only then does this store get its act together.
Here are some guarantees. I promise this’ll all happen to you.1. If you know what you’re doing and don’t need any assistance, it’ll be a breeze! Until you get to the cashier LOL.2. Whatever you do, DO NOT interrupt employees standing around talking. They’ll give you the death stare & if they find any opportunity to give you attitude, they will!3. Don’t ask any questions. They will go out their way to make sure you feel like you asked the stupidest question they ever heard.4. Highly unprofessional. They also complain about their schedule and/or the policies at work in front of customers. They really hire people straight out of prison because there is no way any of these people went through a proper interview process and got the job based off their character and professionalism. There’s absolutely no way.5. Customer service area is awful. I always see this older grey haired guy there and he walks around like he’s the coolest kid in school. He’s always running his mouth with the employees like he’s wise and insightful LOL. Yoda never worked at a Home Depot. It’s kind of cringe.6. Be aware of the nice guy! You might feel lucky. It’s going to feel like a breath of fresh air! However, the nice ones don’t know a damn thing and they’ll point you into every direction possible to hide that fact from you.7. Shout outs to the guy who cuts the wood in the back. He couldn’t give a hell about your measurements lmao. He just wants to cut everything in half and make you leave. You have to practically BEG for what you need. He will also pretend there’s a language barrier and look at you blankly a lot. To the point you just want to leave because none of what you’re saying is getting through.I came here needing very minimal help and I’ve had to visit this store several times because I kept getting the wrong information and I ended up just figuring everything out myself. This store is disgusting and every person here should be fired. There needs to be more management present. This place has to run itself because everyone here doesn’t care at all.
I approached customer service this afternoon and a lady whos name is suzzette acted poorly and not professional towards two customers, she kept cursing while walking around the customer service area, very stressful moment. She kept asking other employees to assist customers while still in the area standing and not being productive.
By far the worst home depot New York has. No one is willing to help you, when you need something you have to spend 20 minutes walking the store to find someone who might be able to help, and even when you chase down someone to help they are NOT from that department so they o on there own search to find you someone else -_-. I been to this store a few times for different things. Its a convenient store when you know what you want were to find it and you can get it yourself. NOT a good store if you need them to help you figure out which is best, or if you need to order something. Customer service does not exist in this location.
Absolutely ridiculous went there because they had given me the wrong paint when I had shown them the shade. There was this Indian guy which had blamed and accused me for supposedly picking a wrong color. Absolutely poor customer service after back and forth arguing to have my paint color that I originally wanted I finally got my paint exchanged. I’m giving it a one star because of the nice white gentleman who was kind enough to help me out. But as for the Indian man especially just disgusting service will not be going there again. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
This home Depot has a bunch of useless workers. Most are polite, but none of them know anything. I asked 4 workers where can I find a particular item I was looking for, and they all had the same response. Not sure, I dont work in this area. All they seem to know is where they pick up their paystubs. No wonder nobody shops in the Bronx .
Has plenty stuff but the staff is terrible. Full of Attitude & unprofessional. They gather and chat about customers and get upset when you ask for help. Im a frequent shopper I witnessed it numerous occasions. Unfortunately unless you travel further this is your only option!
They need to seriously work on their customer service!!Compared to many other home depots, the staff here is very impolite and not very helpful!The employees at the paint station are the worst. There all young, obnoxious kids who have no idea whar customer service is.Handed me a paint I ordered with paint all over it and it messed up my scarf and got it all over my hands and didnt even have the decency to help or give me a napkins.Smh! Ill take my business to the store by mount Vernon instead!!

2022-03-22Waiting for customer assistance made my beard grow. Unbelievable how no one comes to the area where they are needed and when they do they have no idea what Im looking for. Staff needs to re stock hourly. Lots of items in the rafters that no one can reach... No one to bring them down. Not one associate to help... Waiting 20 minutes now for someone in electrical.Terribly sad store tbh

2022-06-18My name is April. I’m writing from my daughters account. I was recently in Home Depot located on gunhill road in the Bronx. I made 2 purchases for pick up. There was an issue with my curbside pick up. Long story short, things we’re not complete or just weren’t in stock. I decided to physically go in the store. I was greeted and helped by a very welcoming and lovely young lady. Her name is Jasmine. She was beyond amazing and super helpful! She was able to find everything that I needed. Even when I felt I could not find anything, she went above and beyond to double check. I was extremely grateful for her help.

2022-03-22Unfortunately I experienced very poor customer service when ordering online. It’s very frustrating when the inventory counts are off— way off. I had store #1248 order an item to this store because on their end it was available. I was headed there & within 20 minutes the ordered was cancelled. I was under the impression there were none in stock since my order was cancelled but when I arrive at the store and searched for the item there were 28+ Cases of Canyon Gate Oyster White Matte Tile floor stock. Home Depot overall needs to get it together with their inventory management atleast go look for the item before cancelling or saying the item is not in stock, nobody has time to drive to different stores especially when gas prices this high!

2022-04-20Cashier line is ridiculous 🙄. Inside the store the payment system is designed for customers to do self checkout however they have employees doing for you which slows rhe entire process down, your best bet is to go outside where they have all the plants they have three self checkout machines which is pretty much the only way to avoid the lines created by the employees who truly need to be providing instore customer service 😉 hint hint management.

2022-04-22I always shop at 1806 Gunhill Road location every week buying charcoal and many other items I usually have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately on 4/21/22 at 9.56 PM I had the worst experience with a cashier name Aisha she is very rude and disrespectful she need to be taught proper customer .She dont know how to speak to people. She is a very bitter and unpleasant person. She need to leave personal problems to herself and not bring it to the work place. I come make my purchase and leave not deal with rude unpleasant people. Im only putting one star since Im UNABLE to give ZERO STARS.!!!

2022-05-30Home Depot made a fool of the entire country. They did away with the mom & pop hardware stores with lower prices. Now shoppers are paying up their nose compared with the mom & prices. We were fooled, cheaper is not better. We got what we paid for.
