Can I give negative stars??? We ordered carpet for our downstairs and 4 weeks later, the day before installation, they say they just noticed it was damaged. So we had to wait 3 more weeks for a replacement. And then they start installing the wrong carpet. So now I have to wait even longer AGAIN for them to come back and rip it back up and replace it AGAIN. Thjs has cost me 2 days of leave from work, and moving my furniture around twice, soon to be a third. I will Never EVER buy from them again. EVER.Oh and update, when they ordered they ordered the new one, ypu guessed it we had to wait longer because the manager ordered the wrong size.
I would not recommend that anyone within the military community on Fort Drum shop at this Home Depot. My wife and I ordered a new washer and dryer set from them on December 22nd 2021 and was told it would be delivered on January 12th 2022. When the date came around for our delivery we sat around all day waiting for the delivery just to be told at the end of the day after our delivery time that the drivers that were contracted out forgot their ID cards and could not get on base. Our new date was scheduled for the 15th and the day prior we were called and told they can not deliver because of the snow storms that were going to take place on the following Monday (the 17th) along with windchills for that Saturday. I am unsure how the outside temperature affects an inside install for a delivery but whatever, we were given a new date of delivery of the 16th (same temperatures and same snow storm the following date) I waited at home and again had to cancel plans to ensure someone over the age of 18 was at the residence to be left with a no show and no call. When I called Spirit Logistics today the 17th I was informed the delivery drivers tried to call me because they forgot their ID cards once again. This was a lie as there was no missed calls from Spirit Logistics and I was finally given the option to pick up the washer and dryer myself at the home depot on Wednesday the 19th. It is absolutely crazy that Home Depot charges people to have delivery and installation for their new appliances but fails to actually deliver.
I did not get his name, but here is a hard working Patriot ensuring I made the right selection of wood, cut it like a pro, pointed me straight to other things I needed to pick up, courteous, friendly, and worked hard on under pressure with multiple requests from other customers. All stemming from walking by him while he was busy, but he made time to ask if I was good, and away he went. Like a professional. During current times, THIS is someone who needs to be out front, leading others. He represented Home Depot like a champ. Will be back because of him. If someone knows who he is, please extend my gratitude.
I want to get a color match on paint, The paint department said they couldn’t match the color after I showed him the color on my phone… for a hot tub I needed it to come close but not Necessary to match the cover. Being that I am partially colorblind I was hoping for help matching a color close to what I need. The customer is on their own in the paint department.
I did not find a husband. 🤣 I did however encounter a ton of super friendly people from customers to employees. Employees were quick about showing up and helping. One gentleman even grabbed me a cart when I was struggling to carry everything Id grabbed for my project. 10/10 recommend for youre project needs!
Not impressed. I ordered 3 doors in June, received a phone call end of June saying they would be delivered July 8th. I went into the store, had all 3 there! Never called, no delivery scheduled. Hopefully I get refunded for the delivery fee since I ended up picking up.Im giving two stars because the customer service by Jada was excellent!
First I want to say Keisha in the washer and dryer area is absolutely amazing. She helped us throughout our entire purchase, and the aftermath of a horrible delivery experience. I’m giving 4 stars Bc if it wasn’t for her, I would give 0 stars after what we experienced in our delivery and installment. So, secondly the reason I took 1 star away is because of the delivery people who came to our home.. I would give them 0 stars. Very rude, disrespectful, and inappropriate. They never finished the job, Bc they did not have our hoses, and then joked with us about how we should cash app them a tip… and how when we go to the store they will cashapp us a refund… this is not funny. I was really disappointed but keisha was amazing during the process so therefore I say thank you Keisha and her manager, for being sincere about the delivery issue.
Tryed to pay bill with cashiers check they would not except it.came back the next day with cash. They would not let me pay bill off. Said I could only pay 3000 per day on my bill.Told me I would either have to come back tomorrow or leave money with them (with no receipt)and they would pay it for me . Very unprofessional.
Never order online from this place.I ordered a part for my riding mower, 10 days later ( which is Ok) it arrived at the store. I went in to pick it up and was told they lost it.They tried to reorder it just to find out that it is back ordered and have no idea when or if they can get it.They said I should give them a couple weeks to find the one I ordered. So now I wait for them to search the store for my package? I have to drive 40 mins one way to get to this store. NEVER AGAIN.
It was great until we went too cash out and a secret shopper followed us and stayed on us until we paid!! I am Italian and my husband is Black. That should explain it. When we actually are walking around 🛍️ two to three employees follow us. What a Black man isnt allowed to shop without being followed?? Rediculous!!
Extremely slow service. Nobody at pro desk. Multiple employees walk by you but are of no help and don’t even acknowledge you. As someone who has spent tens of thousands of dollars here in the past year it is extremely disappointing. I was told to wait until someone came back from a lunch break to process a $3,500 order.
I shop this store very often,, i want to let the manager know that i feel that Cryistel at the customer service counter is a great help as is all the people you have there. they go out of their way to help.,, unlike lowes. Cryistal goes out of her way to satisfy my needs. she needs a pat on the back and is valued employee.. corporate needs to know this,,,thank you
Items on the website and on the app were not in store where they claimed on the store map. Couldnt find the air purifier section let alone the one I was looking for. Couldnt find it with whatever app the staff there uses either. The only reason they get a 3 instead of a 1 was because the lady that tried her best to help was a lovely person. Went to Walmart to buy the purifier. Wont go back to this home depot again unless I absolutely have to.
They were so incredibly nice it was unbelievable. We got there about half an hour before closing and felt so bad we needed a couple pieces of wood cut and they had someone else with a bunch of wood and we waited by the time we got done with out plywood we need some 2x4s cut and it was just 8 when we got to cut and the person who helped us with the plywood was amazing and the 2x4. When time to cash out there were quite a few people who had walked it minuted before and got a bunch of stuff but they were nice and friendly. We apologized for being there so late and they at least sincerely sounding told us it was okay.
Staff wasWent here to buy a toolbox.To sum it up: It was mispriced and I wasnt paying full price.They fixed that, I still got a military discount and had it shipped to my house with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Im very pleased. Just a couple weeks ago i bought some Milwaukee stuff too so this location will be getting lots of business from me!
Overall, decent visit, but few helpers available during last hour open, which I cant really blame them for. Went for some garden equipment and maybe sliding screen door. Garden equipment was easy to find, had great samples for waving about...err...testing fit, finish, balance, etc. Sliding screen doors had nobody in the section, little selection, and what they had was a bit beat up.
By far the worst experience Ive ever had. I ordered an item online for my kitchen. Item said it was in so I drove the 30 mins there, just to be told it hasnt arrived yet. So I requested it to be put on hold till my other item arrives, 2 separate employees told me that was fine. 2 days later I get a call that my item was in, I again requested it be put on hold till my other item came in. Today I received an email canceling my order, I called and the employees response was that they can only hold items for 7 days. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! NOT ONE OF THE OTHER 3 EMPLOYEES EVER MENTIONED THAT. so, infuriating and unprofessional... i will take my business elsewhere from now on..
Travelling through Upstate New York we came across this little Home Depot. This location seems to be kind of all by itself where there wasnt a lot of traffic around for other big stores. It was easy to navigate inside as the staff were very friendly very helpful in helping us what we needed to find. I recommend this location as its not very busy and you can get everything all Under One Roof
Ed that works in the lumber department was EXCELLENT! I am working on three consecutive projects and needed multiple cuts. Ed was courteous, friendly, made my family laugh and was just a pleasure to be around while he cut the wood I needed for an hour or more. Highly recommend!
Ordered a faucet online, was told by the store clerk it would be in approximately 3 business days. Ten days later, I still didnt receive my product. I called the store directly in Watertown, the customer service center hung up on me. I tried to explain that the tracking said delivering today.On Tuesday, now day 11, my contractor is held up. I called the 1_800 customer service. The lady was so scripted. Im sorry maam I understand maam She checked with the shopping company only to find the product was never placed kn the truck. It would be another 5-7 days, no option of overnight shipment.The senior team decided to offer me 10% off my next purchase. Thanks for nothing Home Depot. You have bigger in store deductions daily. Additionally my parents and military friends receive 10% off daily (as they should)Thanks for nothing.
I inquired to the manager about the price of the end of the season vegetation. He didnt know and sent me to the department head and he didnt know and he pawned me off to a helpful associate who finally arrived and was supremely helpful. Otherwise another good visit. Still trying to decide if I prefer orange or blue?
My other half is/was deploying and our washer and dryer decided to quit on me. My first thought was Home Depot to buy an appliance. I looked up what I wanted and called the store. They confirmed they had what I wanted in stock for pick up today. The associate said that normally they don’t have them in stock but they did have the washer I wanted. We loaded up our 4 kids and went to get it. When we got there we learned it was a refurbished model, then SURPRISE, and it was the model up so it was more expensive. We were going to get it anyhow, at a $300 higher price difference even refurbished, as long as the manager would agree to sell us the floor model. The very sweet associate went and asked. The “manager on duty” (I was told it was not the store manager) wouldn’t sell us the floor model dryer under any circumstances. Even though we drove 30 minutes there on the promise that they had the model in stock I wanted to take home today (which they didn’t have) and they would have made over an $1800 sale!!!Moral of the story, even though this Home Depot is in a Military Instillation town and they “Say” they support the military, the management is not in ANY WAY friendly or understanding of an active duty military family and their needs as their soldier deploys.I was HIGHLY disappointed.I wish I hadn’t wasted my time (which is VERY precious with my soldier leaving) or my gas to go to this store.I do not recommend shopping here.
Scam Alert ----------Horrible store. I purchased measurements for Windows to have them ordered right. Instead the measurer did not not order the correct windows he picked the more expensive way which is new construction instead of replacement windows. So they could then turn around and charge more for installation. I cancelled the installation and found a new contractor for $1100 difference on just installation. My contractor informed the manager Herb at the store who said he would make it right. The next day when trying to reorder they didnt allow him to and now are requesting for 15% restocking fee. This purchase was made on their cc and they are not honoring the 1 year hassle free return. I have contacted the window company and they have no problem with the windows being returned. Its all about them cheating innocent people out of money. Maybe they should reimburse me my pay per an hour for my time lost having to deal with their incompetence.
Terrible service in cabinets. Had Home Depot give me a quote for a cabinet and drawer few weeks ago. Went back today with order and Joshua told me there was nothing he could do for me. He got into the same website the woman who gave me the order to begin with but NOW he cant help me. No explanation is to why. It was obvious he didnt want to bother with my small order. I will go to Lowes. Canceling my Home Depot charge card.Update: another employee in the kitchen cabinet department actually was able to login to a computer and complete my order. I gave her the EXACT MEASUREMENTS of the door and cabinet. I couldnt have been more specific. The door arrived yesterday and its TOO SMALL! How can someone screw up an order this simple?? She made a mistake and the other employee couldnt access information on a computer. I have no confidence in Home Depot. I would like the Manager of this store to give their employees more Training.
Place keeps going downhill. Online is a bad call. Placed multiple orders & after waiting 8+ hrs, called to check one. I HAD TO CALL 8 hrs later to find out they didn’t know if they had one item. And would I be willing to sub since they don’t. That isn’t customer service. That’s a customer doing work for the employee. Maybe get rid of the lazy ones or drop prices since I’m doing the work myself
Nightmare process when purchased shower online to pick up in store. Showerside panels were crushed. Took three hours and two return trips. Uncoordinated, awful and much time wasted. Tried work with them to trade damaged pieces but, ended up getting a refund and going elsewhere. I’m not sure I’ll ever shop here again.
I used to think that Home Depot and Lowes were pretty much the same. Not any more. Home Depot wanted to charge me many thousands of dollars more than any other company to install a new boiler. Theirs was much smaller than the other estimates too. When I complained, HD customer service wrote me back that that their prices were competitive. Then, when I wanted to buy a stove, I found out that it was less online and they wanted to charge me $100 to deliver and setup. It is $26.98 to order online, have it delivered and setup including the power cord. What gives? So, Ive switched to Lowes.
I hate to have some meal work done I went to Lowes first and their saw was broke. I met at incidentally? So I took myself and went to my trusted old Home Depot and was able to get help my lumber cut and everything went very well my project was finished in no time. I usually joke with my wife that whatever project Im working on take about 5 years. But when you working with good people like at Home Depot its fantastic!
I went in needing parts to a gas dryer not knowing much of what Im doing one of the employs explained to me exactly what I needed to do not sure of his last name but his 1st name was John he was the best. Not only did he give me all the parts that I needed he told me the instructions step-by-step from the gas out of the wall to my dryer and made sure I knew what I was doing if I could give him 10 stars I would.
I come here for all of my paint. Outside of that I dont find myself visiting often. Just isnt as welcoming as their competitor unfortunately. They also dont offer a military discount to my knowledge which I find very generous of Lowes. Im not in the military, I just am supportive of the men and women that fight for our country.
Every employee was friendly, courteous and helpful. I can go in any section of the store and ask where to find something in a different section and theyre knowledgeable about where it is.Store is very clean, and even the parking lot is in good shape considering the amount of snow weve had.
Ordered a stackable washer and dryer with all the accessories to install them. They were delivered without the vital accessories and mounts. They were supposed to make the doors open the same direction and didnt. They literally dropped them off in the middle of my house and left. If there was a way to give negative or no stars I would. Terrible service!!
Came in about 9:00 am. Was trying to buy paint and supplies today for a DIY project and the person at the paint counter told me I dont have time to be explaining to you for 5 minutes. as soon as I walked up. And when I asked him what kind of brushes he recommended he just pointed to the brushes and said There are brushes over there. Ive worked in customer service before so I get being busy sometimes, but he didnt have to be rude. He couldve said Ill be just a moment. or Let me page someone to help you. I promptly left and went to Lowes. Wont be coming back.
We ordered a whirlpool stove a fridge. When they delivered stove it would not turn on, showed error. 3 weeks later and 4 reschedule later, due to errors on their part... we have no stove, we have no cooperation and still have. Bracket installed in our kitchen that no one will come and remove. I am beyond frustrated and cannot believe how inefficient and unprofessional the whole experience has been .

Untrustworthy. Yet again, we went into a local store and asked to have the old dishwasher taken out and the new one installed. After we wait all day and the guys finally get here, they are not qualified to install the washer. Wasted our time and money. I hate to say it but moats of the stores around here have horrible service. I have added Home Depot to that list.
Wish they gave first responders the same discounts as military. We put our lives at risk as well, only no guns for saftey only police officers carry weapons. EMS and firefighters as well as police officers should get the same as military. Wont shop there again any time soon. Lowes is our new hardware store.
Most everyone there standing around w hands in there pockets.no one greeted me or asked if I needed help.i couldnt believe it.i approached a staff member and asked where this item was and she told me where I could find it,Instead of showing me.she was standing around doing nothing.

2022-04-24We went to get mulch Saturday morning, April 23, 2022 at the Home Depot in Watertown, NY. Customer service was excellent! No sooner had we gotten out of the truck and an employee offered to load it while we shopped. At every other place we’ve been, my husband always loads it. The manager said hello while I was shopping for flower bulbs so I was able to tell him how impressed I was by the friendly and helpful employees in the garden center. When looking for seeds another employee asked me if he could help but directed me wrong, came back and found me to steer me right, very impressed with that as well. We ended up purchasing a leaf blower and a weed eater that we had not intended to buy, in large part because of how friendly the store was. This is quite unprecedented in the post Covid times we live in. We do not usually shop at Home Depot, but that is now changing. Thanks for the hospitality! We will be returning!

2022-06-05The prices are high compared to other chains and when we attempted to get our veterans discount (Vietnam Vet) had to download an app, fill out the application, then upload vet card and then after all that had to wait for approval. It was approved about 30 minutes after we left. And the clerk at the check out was very rude, wouldnt assist us and downright dismissive. When another vet came up to help she just shook her head and rolled her eyes. Not very good place to visit.

2022-06-03There was so much help to find what I needed, I purchased my entire list! Very, very nice employees help me load things. 1 downside, I was charged for an extra item but was too far to go back.

2022-05-08My husband and I went to Watertown today looking to buy a lawnmower. We initially were going to buy one at lowes because of a specific brand. When we got to lowes they had no zero turn mowers assembled and we waited 20 minutes before we were helped. So we went over to Home Depot and they had over 15 in stock and assembled, in a different brand. But we decided we’d rather spend our money there even though it wasn’t what we initially wanted. We walked in the door and were helped immediately. We had our mower purchased and out the door in less than a half an hour. Amazing customer service, 5 stars all the way around.

2022-06-05Very poor customer service today at self checkout. The lady Cheryl had an attitude that was beyond rude. Refused to take my husband’s military ID which clearly identified him WITH clear photo. Then decided to continue to mumble under her breath and rush my husband with his purchase. After this situation my husband has decided to stop purchasing from Home Depot. Unfortunately this was our 2nd trip here.

2022-06-21I stopped In this afternoon. I did my shopping in ten minutes. It took a half hour to get cashed out. They refuse to open other registers. Only self check out. Poor poor customer service.

2021-10-05I have been working with Home Depot since August 5 2021 to get two doors installed. Everything that can go wrong, has.The order was put in incorrectly, wrong parts were ordered and price was not correct. When the installer showed up (two hours late), he had the wrong number of doors to install. This meant coming back another time to finish the install. The 1st door installed had a defective part, so I havent been able to use the door. When the 2nd door was installed, it took coming back to my property two more times because they had the wrong door, and ran out of wood for the framing. The final time he returned he ended up reusing the framing from my original door. (Even though I paid for new framing and that was the reason he left the 2nd time)I have called countless times, with promises to get a call back or that things will be fixed. But there has been no progress. I have two doors, one of which I cant use and the other that looks unprofessionally installed. Im not usually one to leave bad reviews, but even with patience and follow through on my part I have yet to have either issue fixed.If you are looking for work to be done on your property, please find another location or business to assist you.

2017-12-30Home Depot is a great place to shop. They carry a huge selection and often carry items that I just cant find elsewhere. I find that they are usually marginally less expensive than Lowes, and are usually much less expensive that the local hardware stores. The layout of this particular store seems a little dated, but its not a big issue. All my 12 volt tools are Milwaukee, so I find myself shopping for those tools here.Overall, a great shopping experience. The staff is always very helpful and friendly, and theres always enough staff around.
