From the moment I called and spoke with Dani at the front desk who was so warm and welcoming it seemed the Inn at Fox Hollow had a wonderful staff…Dani helped secure a reservation for us and she was incredibly helpful with all questions. What a wonderful place to stay! We arrived after a long drive. Our first stop was the front desk where everyone was super! Such an exceptional team who are incredibly customer focused. We loved our room which was on the first floor courtyard. Everything was lovely and Blake was super in assisting us when once we forgot our room key as we left to go out. I would recommend the Inn at Fox Hollow where every room is a suite so it felt like we were on a wonderful vacation!
This is the 1st time we didnt stay with Family and we ended up taking the advice of several other family members that had previously stayed here. This place is straight out of a Gatsby Movie. It is visually stunning and the employees are very friendly and took care of anything we needed. They had weddings there almost every night and the ambiance was very comfortable. We ate at the Hotel 1 night and the food was amazing, it was a very nice place and I highly recommend if you are in the LI area.
This was my first time coming here to attend my friend weeding. This place is absolutely a beautiful venue to host a wonderful event like this. Is big enough to gather lots of people. I absolutely love the atmosphere and warmest of their staff, the food was good and so was the DJ and the drinks. So I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great venue to host their next event. FYI they have a hotel that you could stay as well. But since I was coming from Brooklyn I didn’t need to stay. they are also little shops around here that you can grab breakfast or lunch outside their premises.
The Inn at Fox Hollow is an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding. They did a superior job on my nieces wedding. The food was fantastic, service very good. The outdoor wedding setting was absolutely beautiful. We loved the room the wedding was in, it was not your run-of-the-mill wedding room it was elegantly rustic and different from all the many weddings I have attended elsewhere. This was truly a wonderful experience at the Inn at Fox Hollow. I highly recommend this venue.
I am handicap, and very little staff had the knowledge of how a wheelchair can get into the different buildings and the ADA bathrooms were not compliant ie:. Door handle, obstructions in the bathroom not allowing turning radius, and able body staff using the ADA bathroom. In addition, it was so crowded, like a wedding factory with 2-3 weddings going on and interviews for weddings happening simultaneously.
The staff was nice upon checking in. I was appalled at the cleanliness of my room. There was dust all over the studio furniture and dust flying all over my room, noticeably. I took some photos. I went to make myself coffee and all 5 half and half expired 9/20, 10/20. I brought my dog who has allergies to dust and caught a reaction his eye swelled up. I then went to the bathroom to find a used wash cloth hanging by the bathtub and some hairs in the bathroom. It was a holiday, I was exhausted just wanted a bed and to check out ASAP after breakfast. Wasn’t worth the $400 I paid.Update:After complaint via email, The manager contacted me and I was refunded my pet fee. The fee was used to take my dog to the vet for an allergic reaction in his eyes.
Sleep quality = Zero stars.Overall, this is a lovely hotel. Its clean, excellent customer service, and spacious; however, the sleep quality is terrible. The thermostat locks at 68 degrees and it is not in the bedroom. As a result, the bedroom temp is around 70 degrees. It was hot and uncomfortable, resulting in a terrible nights sleep. I love this hotel; however, I likely wont return when I visit again next month. When Im paying close to $300 for a hotel room, I expect to sleep well.
Attended a wedding on Sunday August 8th and someone from the Bridal party sat at our table (Parents of bride) and removed the salad before she had a chance to eat it. The waitress said she had to move it. I explained the salad was just served about 10 mins and you dont give a person at least time to enjoy. She said she had to take it and removed it anyway. Shame on Fox Hollow.
The manger of the restaurant/bar was rude and confrontational. After spending $16 per drink, I would have expected more. The air conditioner in my room was broken and they sent up a repairman who was unable to fix it. They offered to change my room but it was late and I had unpacked. I asked for some money off but was denied. I would not go back.
Positive: The room size. Negative: The front desk staff and please clean the shower in the room before your guess check in. Hair all over the shower area. If you have two consecutive days booking you shouldnt have to get your room key reactivated on the second day at the front desk.
My wife and I are COVID ICU travel nurses. We stayed at the inn for the majority of our 3 month contract in mid 2020. You could not ask for a better place to stay while away from home. The place was super clean. The staff was always helpful and attentive. Dillon, Julia, and Samantha were always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The food was always delicious. The pool and ourdoor bar were nice to unwind after long days. If were ever in town, we will be sleeping with the fox!Thank you guys for everything.
This place is great! A little far from where I usually stay, but it was definitely worth it. I was looking for something different, since every year I stay at Homewood Suites, and this fit the bill perfectly. Breakfast buffet in the morning is very good, and they also have dinner Monday through Thursday, cant beat that. The rooms are very clean, as is the lobby area. Look for specials, they are around.
Great food. Amazing decorations. Cute hotel/inn. We were here for a wedding and overnight stay. The staff was very friendly and they made for a lovely event. The catering staff were great and efficient, very professional. The girl rooms were really nicely decorated and uniquely designed as far as layout. the decorations were warm and romantic. Its very convenient to have the hotel close to the event venue thou it would have been even nicer if there was a covered or underground means to get from one to the other for those cold weather events.
I attended a wedding at Fox Hollow and stayed at the Inn on 5/16/21. About 40 people from wedding stayed at the Inn as well, mostly ages 50+. The Restaurant/Bar manger was rude, obnoxious and extremely unpleasant. It was too bad because it ruined an otherwise favorable event.
Attended a wedding here. Staff was amazing, very professional and the coordinator (Dominic I think was his name) really knew what he was doing. If I recall there were 4 weddings happening all at the same time, and my buddys wedding was by itself amazing. Food was delicious, music and atmosphere, staff, everything was top quality. Very rarely have I been to a wedding that I enjoyed but I have never seen my friend this happy. 10/10 would recommend this for a venue
If I could Id give it 4.5 stars. Note this is only for the hotel, the wedding venue is a solid 5. The hotel is big and beautiful, with well sized suites. Its comfortable and very convenient for overnights before/after an event next door. It loses a point for a lot of small things that Id expect better from a hotel at this cost. The bathrooms are dated, from the corded phones by the toilets to the shower that has no space between freezing and scalding. The breakfast buffet was indistinguishable from a Holiday Inn, and they were frequently out of certain options. The royal suite given after our wedding was not terribly different from a standard room. And so on. A nice stay, but I wouldnt choose it for anything other than an event next door.
My Wife and I were here last week for the most amazing wedding. The attention to detail is impeccable. The amenities are endless. The food is 5 Star. The grounds are perfectly manicured. The rooms are elegant and spacious with ample closet space. Whether you stay for a night or a week its a great getaway. The staff is very accommodating and warm. Youre certain to enjoy your stay.
Wonderful accommodations! This was probably the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable, great staff, great breakfast and the best hotel coffee outside Europe! Lovely grounds with a nice heated pool and jacuzzi. The location was also extremely convenient and tranquil. The kids loved it here too. If there were more hotels of this quality, I would travel more often.
I attended my cousins wedding. The venue was beautiful. The food was soo good. The bathroom was beautiful. The staff was nice and professional. But the wedding was outside and they said they would have outside heaters but I didnt see our feel any and I froze my butt off.
Overall my experience was nice with the exception of a few things. We had a neighbor with a pet that barked all night which tugged at our heart strings. We also requested some ice that never arrived. But the room was spacious and the breakfast was delicious. All the gardens are beautiful! Definitely a charming hotel and would visit again.
Open during covid!!!!We stayed here on my actual birthday to celebrate and had a nice time. The staff were friendly and competent. Mike at the pool was helpful in helping me order a salad. The hotel is charming and classy, exactly what I was looking for. The room was nice looking and we even had a tub. The WiFi worked.I only have a couple complaints.1) the bed was creaky and not the most comfortable and2) the “Free breakfast” was Pitiful :( ... I picked fox hall out of a lot of good options and was really excited about the breakfast. We planned our day Around knowing we wouldn’t allocate morning time to go get food and what we were given was borderline offensive:Stale cereal, chobani, and juice. I thought free breakfast had to atleast be continental :( I brought this to an agent at check out and she didn’t really seem to care.
I didnt physically stay at this hotel, but visited some guests here. The rooms are suite style with a living room/kitchenette and a separate bedroom. It was quite spacious! This hotel also has a breakfast and dinner buffet for hotel guests. I joined the dinner buffet on 2 nights and found that the food was actually really good! There is a courtyard with a small pool and hot tub, but it is not that big or deep.It is located on Jericho Turnpike, which can be a hassle to drive on with all the traffic.
Stayed here for a wedding at the nearby oheka castle and the stay was great from beginning to end. The staffs response time to requests was utterly amazing in getting us from check in to the wedding in less than an hour. Aside from that, the soak in tub was just what we needed after the wedding in addition to the robes putting the finishing touch on a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Will definitely try to come back for an extended visit next time.
Very nice rooms, but I can understand where all the negatives come from. We were in an ADA room with our infant. The hotel was able to provide us with a pack and play with a mattress however the sheet was so loose it’s not safe to use. We brought our own sheet either way. The mini fridge freezer wasn’t usable as it was completely frozen over. the bath room flooded because they didn’t slope the shower properly. The bathrooms door stop was also not well placed. As for the breakfast, the coffee is heated in tins and you can tell they just add fresh coffee to the old coffee when it gets low. There’s is no milk non- dairy alternative, some thing that is standard in other hotels. The breakfast foods are your basic breads, eggs, bacon, sausage. There is no non red meat option such as turkey sausage and they place all the meats on bread so if you have a wheat allergy be mindful because you can’t tell if the platter is full.
Attended a wedding here. The food was great, the drinks were better then I expected from an unlimited bar. The staff were alot of fun and definitely added to the event. The hall was beautiful and well designed, it was indoors but felt like were were outside in the sun the whole afternoon. All in all a great experience.
Classy professional Hotel. Amenities and staff are the best. No need to elaborate. Jeffery, Billy and Dana are wonderful. Their buffet is clean and well done. Rooms are very clean. Doors sometimes stick, but they are on top of it. I travel to New York once a month and stay in the city two days and on Long Island the the other two. Great place to stay and great restaurants nearby.
Just attended a wedding there. Fox Hollow Inn has always been a great place to hold an event. Service is always polite and professional. They are great at organizing and see to most every detail. Only issue I had was the quality of the food seems to have gone down a bit. I hadnt been there in 7 years and remember that the food was if a higher quality then.
We were here for my sons wedding... The night could not have been any better! The food was delicious. You have nine entree choices... Not just three... Nine!! The bartenders were fantastic. The wait staff were awesome. Our maître d, Samir, was incredible... He was everywhere he needed to be even before you realized he needed to be there! Every detail was taken care of... If youre planning a wedding... You need to check this place out!
The bed was great and so was the staff.Taking a star off because, as much as these rooms cost, you should be able to set your thermostat lower than 68. I sleep best when the room is 65 or below. Higher is okay if there is a fan to constantly circulate, but that wasnt the case here, plus Im certain the room didnt drop below 72, in actuality.Second star comes off for lack of variety at breakfast--every day, the same fair. They make minor changes to the ingredients of the omelets, but thats about it.
Terrible hotel. The hotel lured locals to book a stay-cation at their venue 4th of July weekend. They never let us know prior to booking that we would have to reserve time at the pool and would be limited to one hour per day. We made a reservation and ordered lunch nearby since the restaurant was still closed. When lunch arrived we headed to the outdoor tables and ordered drinks from the bar. The bartender watched me unpack everything while having a conversation with him about drinks and once I was finished he told me he forgot but we cant have outside food there. I was made to pack up everything and go eat in my room...drinks we ordered at the bar included... if I wanted to have alcohol in a small dark room I never wouldve booked the hotel. We finished lunch and headed back to our chairs by the pool. Our stuff was gone. A pool attendant said our time slot was over and our stuff was in the lobby..my mask included. How can you expect your guests to walk into the lobby without a mask? We basically had nothing to do but sit in our room until the next day where we could have another hour at the pool. We arrived on time for our pool reservation and the attendant said she needed some time to clean and replace the pool towels. We got in ten minutes after our reservation because of that. She then came and told us the hour was up 45 minutes into the reservation despite she took up so much time getting us set up. We got 35 minutes in the pool after waiting the whole day... hours passed and we noticed a couple that came in at the same time had been there for over 6 hours without being told to leave. We later learned this was the hotel owner and his partner. If there are only 10 lounge chairs by reservation for 1 hr only, why is he taking up 2 of them all day on a holiday weekend? No respect for guests paying almost $300 a night who were lured in with advertising for a poolside staycation. Guests were made to eat in their rooms while the owner didnt follow his own rules. Not to mention the snide remarks from staff on how we should go back to our room because the storm was coming and it was romantic...I was not there with a partner. I am In-house counsel and was there with another attorney I work with. Im 30 years younger than him and make more a year, but Im sure your staff just assumed he was just an older man paying for everything....this is terrible establishment. Ive stayed at the highest rated hotels all over the world and expect to feel like a guest, not like Im at a boarding school or halfway house.
Loved it! We wanted a little getaway and stayed here for only one night, wish we could’ve stayed longer. Soon as we entered The Inn, we were welcomed with the warm scent of gingerbread. This place was totally decked out for the holidays! The Inn offers complimentary buffet style breakfast. Very clean rooms, even the paintings in the hallways were dust free. Stay here, you won’t regret it.
The staff and service were very helpful, as was the quality of the on-premises dining. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the measures taken to protect guests found a well-balanced set of parameters; they made the experience and the level of comfort remain as close as possible to a boutique hotel-stay is during normal times!
If you are looking for a lovely place to spend the weekend ..or even longer, you will not be disappointed! The hotel is lovely and the rooms are gorgeous and luxurious and spacious! The free breakfast and free dinner makes the price of the room equal to that of a much lower priced hotel. The food is excellent, the hot breakfasts offer omelets various meats, potatoes, french toast, pancakes, waffles, fruits, cereals, toast the whole spread! They also rotate the omelettes so that youre not having the same thing everyday and there is a variety throughout your stay. The dinners are good, nothing fancy but again a different meal every night to create variety. If youre interested in a really nice upscale dinner walk over to Volpe next door. It is a gorgeous quaint Boutique high-end restaurant. We were sorry to miss the prime rib night on Thursday... they also have lobster night on Wednesday. They also have a beautiful pool and outdoor area ..and the wedding venue and Gardens are absolutely stunning!
WE were guests at the wedding of Kirsten and Gary . It was absolutely beautiful in every way. Kirsten looked like a beautiful model walking down the aisle. Her dress was just magnificent and captured the entire beauty of her in every way. The manufacturer would sell thousands just seeing her in it. When we were told what had happened at your Inn we were totally shocked. Just security alone and your staff would know who had been in the room when it was left to be prepared for the next guests. A wedding dress stolen is beyond belief. It definitely stops us from ever thinking of using or recommending your Inn to anyone at any time. One wants to feel secure with their belongings at an upscale place which we considered your to be. The wedding was actually at a different venue butthe wedding party and guests stayed at your Inn.
I would like to comment on their wonderful customer service. I spoke with Melissa today in regards to booking 2 rooms for the night before my upcoming wedding. I had many questions and 2 rooms to book and she was so informative and kind, I felt bad keeping her on the phone for so long but she never made me feel like I was bothering her. Thank you for your patience, we can not wait to stay at your hotel. - Concetta Arcamone
Was not impressed for the money I spent. Stayed for a night last night with my wife for our anniversary and while the Staff was very courteous and helpful there were some things that bothered me. The bed was very uncomfortable and I tossed and turned all night. The room itself was clean but the bathroom could use some work floors were dirty and it needed some maintenance work. The breakfast was ok nothing to write home about but what do you want for a free hotel breakfast, right? What bothered me most was I mainly spent the money to stay here because I wanted to use the pool and especially the HOT TUB however it was CLOSED on a night in August????? There was a little rain earlier in the day but why would that stop you from being able to go in the hot tub. Overall these things force me to leave a 2star review simply for the courteous staff or I would probably leave lower.
The hotel itself is nice: cozy, spacious and clean. We stayed for two nights with our toddler and they were unable to sleep because of guests yelling throughout the night. The hotel also has a reception hall so they host multiple wedding guests, which meant people returning late after drinking and being very loud. apparently this happens frequently and the hotel staff themselves were more than helpful; sent up security to help lessen the traffic and even gave us a gift certificate for one night towards our visit. If you have little ones you may want to ask for a corner room away from the entrances and exits. Or simply find another hotel.
The venue is beautiful and the staff very friendly. The hall we were in had the cocktail hour upstairs and reception room downstairs. Kind of tough for a person with a bad knee. Food was pretty good except my piece of filet mignon was about half an inch thick and completely overcooked when I requested rare. Kind of disappointing.
DisappointmentI was excited to be staying at the Fox Hollow. It all change when I walked in to the room. I noticed that the chair was really dirt which made me start looking. Light switch was broken, Towels we fared along with the carpet. Glass shelves were dirty and be hind the night stands were all dust. And in the world of bed bugs who uses a cloth head board. No I did not see Bed Bugs and I did look. or I would have left. I was there on 10/24/18 and stayed in Room 108. Around 5:30am you start to hear the carts rolling by the window carrying food to the breakfast bar. Yes the window. The room is on the 1st floor courtyard. Shortly after that you hear them dropping lids in the kitchen which is 2 doors down and them all talking. Not a good room for sleeping in!I really thought the hotel has a nice layout and a beautiful lobby and bar. The rooms are nice just not clean. At least the one I was in.For the record I did not complain to the desk as the bed was clean and that was all I needed.Best of Travels!!
Arrived mid-afternoon, check-in was easy. Staff was very accommodating when I asked about finding something to eat. Food was great and the waiter was very attentive. Room was good size. Heat was set low in the room and it took a while to feel comfortable. Overall a really good experience.
I have been at this hotel for 2 weeks now. The rooms are gorgeous but internet services is way below standards. Especially during a pandemic where most Americans are working remotely to keep their jobs and pay their bills. During my stay I had countless zoom meetings that had to be rescheduled due to my poor service that kept kicking me off the call. I had to submit late assignments because the internet would take a break for 30 minutes to an hour. And excruciatingly long upload and download speeds when I needed them the most. Every time I called down to the front desk I would get the same response “Okay sir, we understand, we will get an I.T. person to check it out.” and no substantial changes. Or they told me they would put a booster in my room and never did…So if you want a get away disconnected to the world this is the place. But if you are like most people you might want to find a place that can provide at lease basic reliable internet experience.
Only reason why Im giving this hotel three stars is because of the front desk service. Im black mite I add. Theres a black girl in the front. That made me sign in for a room reservation and took my card. Cool I go to get the room turns out she never made the reservation. And I had to book The Room again and go through the process again.... while I was leaving the same girl which I was trying to avoid...... I handed in my key cards because Im leaving the hotel.... she asked me for my credit card again when its on file I dont have to give you my card AGAIN... I told her I was already charged for the room im not giving you my card again..... she says okay then hands ned receipt...... idk it was weird and irritating but other than that lady and the rude tall security guard. The hotel is great very friendly and hard-working people. Besides the two people that should be fired.....
I visited the Inn at Fox Hollow as a wedding guest for an afternoon wedding. The hotel was easy to find, and the interior and the location of the wedding were stunning. The night before the wedding a happy hour was held at their bar near the entrance lobby, and the bartender was wonderful. The wedding coordinator, I believe her name was Donna, was fantastic and made everything run so smoothly. I would definitely recommend this location for an overnight stay or a wedding.
Not only have they go complementary breakfast, they have complementary evening buffet. Also associated with two restaurants with Room service. Well kept garden flowers and water features. I liked the free chauffeur service (blacked out spacious SUV) takes you anywhere within a 10 mile radius. They down grade it calling it a shuttle service but you will be pleasantly surprised.Staff are professional at all times and very helpful. Also have free parking.Nice wedding venue!Jacuzzis outdoor pool and main pool, sun loungers, towels, etc.You know when you have a more upmarket hotel when the offer white robes and white slippers - but you have to pay for these when used.Rob was excellent, had a kitchen with fridge freezer, induction Hobbs, Microwave grill, utensils etc, living room with TV and bedroom with TV. Shower was modern with multi jets and marble tiling - very clean and well kept!Lots more... Im sure you will be pleased.
My husband and I stayed over night using a gift certificate. It included dinner and breakfast which was buffet style. The room was very large with a kitchenette. A fridge was there and glasses, along with a keurig coffee machine. The king size bed was very comfortable and it was a soaking bathtub. Overall, a very nice stay.
Rooms are gorgeous and stocked with Voss water ($5) mini fridge, microwave, cups, plates and silverware. The bathtub is great a little.short but deep so its pretty good. Beds are comfortable and lots of pillows (if you like that sort of this. Breakfast is excellent. Came here for a wedding and the food was fantastic. I had braised short ribs and I just pulled the meat off with a fork no cutting necessary. The temperature could have been cooler in the room but over was a win for me.
Fantastic experience one of the best hotels I have ever been too!!Food, room, staff, facilities, all is of a very high standard...A First Class operation without a doubt!I VERY much enjoyed the stay, and I VERY highly recommend to all to stay at Fox Hollow... youre going to have a wonderful stay too!!!
You had me at complementary breakfast AND dinner! I girls dream when she travels. I did not have to worry about where I was going to eat! Very clean place to stay. Home feel. Exercise room was clean and wasnt smelly. Off season for the pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. But again selection of food was wonderful!
The venue was amazing and beautiful. The staff was a bit difficult and even at times unprofessional. One of the bartenders tried to pick me up, a married woman ring and all, also a bridesmaid. It was super uncomfortable. The wait staff wasnt anywhere to be found 80% of the night. The firepit area dedicated to our party was crowded out by another party because the other matridee didnt properly lock the doors. The staff removed everything from the bridal suite into a very public hallway, purses and all and left it unattended and even put others belongings into my bags (the suite wasnteven in use as we were the last event). They did however accommodate the bride and groom very nicely which was a great plus for them and thats probably the most important part, but i wouldnt get married there myself after seeing how my guests would be treated.
My husband and I decided to celebrate his birthday here. The hotel and our room were very nice but the staff lacked proper hosting skills. (They weren’t nice at all) But the worst part was on this hot and very humid summer weekend there was no AC in our room. They claimed they couldn’t switch our room because they were “fully booked” They brought up a floor unit that didn’t work and by 11pm it was 87 degrees in our room with the floor unit running for about 3 hours. There was no manager available to assist and the staff brought up a janky standing fan. And because it was 11:40 at night and we had no place to go so we were sweating all night. That night and the next day there wasn’t so much as an apology much less any kind of accommodation for that hot box we paid 400 dollars for!A nice venue is nothing without great customer service and they are definitely struggling in this department.
The space was very nice and the staff was super nice and helpful. The prices were quite high, especially when they charged us 17 dollars for two budweisers from the little hotel store. Over all a nice place and a nice stay (3.5 stars would be more accurate) but when the room was over 200 dollars for the night, the high price of the beer seems unnecessary
The hotel is very nice but our room had a AC unit that did not work correctly. The repair person that came up couldnt fix it (all he did was replace the filter which was disgusting). We told the person at the front desk that the AC didnt work but all he said was sorry. Didnt try to move us to a different room. Didnt try to have someone repair the unit. Didnt offer any money off for the issue. It took someone else coming out and hearing our discussion for something to happen (a discount).
We have been staying at Fox Hollow for a decade and this was our most disappointing visit. The suite usually has a welcome package in it, and this time it was empty. There was no cold champagne so we had to wait for a bottle to chill. The bathroom sink had quite a large gouge in it, and the shower had a showehead completely missing and no flow. In terms of breakfast, it wasnt bad but the pancakes were doughy and almost raw in the middle to the point that they werent edible. By far the least impressive of out 10+ stays there.
AWFUL.I had my wedding this January next door and I stayed at the bridal suite the day before. The room was FREEZING because the window was open (it was literally the coldest weekend of the winter). My mother had to climb up a desk to close it. On the day of, when I was getting ready, the shower handle ripped out of the wall when I turned on the water pressure. Theres also no vents in the bathrooms. The entrance door kept getting stuck and was very hard to open for people to be coming in and out. One of the robes had a stain on it, and the iron board had a huge coffee stain as well. I had to call maintenance to fix the shower handle, the door and to get clean stuff on the day of my wedding. When the bridal party, the make up artists, and hair stylist all arrived (thats 9 females in 1 room getting ready for a wedding), room service kept calling and demanding they had to clean the room. How are they not aware that we are preparing for a freaking wedding?? and more importantly when someone says No to room service, you dont continuously harass by calling the room and knock on the door and ignore my request. For a $300+ room, I expected, actually, demand, a better quality room and service for a bridal suite.
Th rooms and the hotel were beautiful. Only 3 stars because checking in was a problem. When I reserved the room I left a credit card to hold it. I was in my sisters wedding and helping the bride prepare when my husband checked in with my kids. The front desk refused to check them in using the card on file without physically seeing the credit card. I tried to call them as we were on our way to take group photos and they refused to speak to me or check them in even though it was my reservation. Had I not found someone able to get down there to give them a credit card my kids would have had to wait in the lobby over an hour until the bridal party got there. As convenient as it was I will not stay here agsin with that kind of customer service.
Excellent. Even though I stayed here on official business, the environment and ambiance made me feel like I am at home. Breakfast and dinner are great and free of cost.Rooms are neat and tidy with great beds and sofas. Hotel decor is much better than we see at the corporate hotels.Looking forward to stay more.
Loved our experience here, the rooms were not only clean and all that, but just beautiful as well. I was attending a wedding and the whole event went smoothly, and the hotel bar was able to accommodate two wedding parties during the evening without feeling crowded or having to wait long for a drink. I am not from around here, but I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in the area. I definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a place to stay.
We went for a wedding and the venue is beautiful! The name and the location definitely gives off a fairytale vibe, with its beautiful outdoor flowers, fountain, and garden and one of the indoor rooms that was brightly lit and was greenhouse-esque. The staff was good as well, probably used to wedding crowds as they weaved around happy and tipsy guests carrying large trays and seamlessly moving from one part of the wedding to the next and patiently directing us (half of the wedding guests did not speak English).
I deleted the review I posted earlier. My second experience here was awful, this hotel is not dog friendly. The only positive was the housekeeping lady, the rest of the staff is trash. Six months ago my stay here was great - staff was friendly, room was awesome, loved it. At that time I saw doggies coming in and out and figured the hotel was dog friendly. As usual, I booked through the corporate travel site. Wife was excited to come with me, and our dog too - we have a 15 lbs toy golden doodle who flies with us, friendliest and cuddliest dog ever.We arrived around 10PM, and the staff clearly saw the dog in my wife’s lap, complimented him on his looks and how well behaved he was, and gave us room 106. That room is awful - avoid at all costs. Right next to the kitchen, always noisy, no WiFi, stay away!!!The dog was anxious with all the commotion, so I went the next morning to ask for a room change. Awful front desk staff, they hate dogs clearly. Another dog owner was complaining about something, they left very disappointed.A couple of days later, the “manager” accused me of not informing at checkin that I had a dog - great news lady, next time I’m bringing balloons and poppers and some music to make sure you’re all informed my dog has arrived. Your staff saw my dog, I told you the second day I had a dog, but you’re right - I was hiding him from you. He’s not a small animal. He doesn’t shed, he doesn’t have accidents inside. But I paid your fee, and moved on when I checked out.Not allowing the dog in the courtyard should make it clear to everyone that this is not a pet friendly place. Avoid this place unless you like to confront problems head-on like me; I’m looking forward to my next stay here :)EDIT after your comments: your dog policy on the website says nothing about the courtyard. That’s the best place for the dog especially in the morning when he/she wants to play. You just confirmed what I said - you’d like fanfare for announcing a dog. Your staff saw him, check the cameras. You are NOT a pet friendly hotel, it’s more of a nuisance that you have to deal with. Fix your comment, your staff made it clear to me not to enter through the main entrance, ONLY the side entrances.
Beautiful, atmosphere lovely...I would definitely stay there again. The rooms are clean, staff friendly, something sorely lacking towards customers today. breakfast was delicious, and Even tho its right on a main road, it has a such a country feel, I love that. I would definitely recommend Fox hollow to anyone looking for a hotel in that area.
The Fox Hollow Inn, in Woodbury was without a doubt the most professional and most beautiful hotels my husband and I have ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious, and the setting inside the room was amazing. Every room you stay in is breath taking. I recommend the Royal Suite. The staff was excellent, Nicolette at the front desk was very helpful as well as the entire staff. The gentleman who help us with our luggage was Will. He handled all of our personal items with the utmost care and professionalism. The food was amazing , large quantity and variety. We enjoyed our whole experience while staying at The Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury NY
Old school feel but very well kept they all so smelled amazing as soo. As you walk I. Your greeted by friendly staff and the warm smell of what seem to me as ginger bread cookies (I went durring the holiday season) rooms were clean and very modern they also have complementary breakfast that is ok but nice
We hosted a Chamber of Commerce networking event at the Inn at Fox Hollow. It is incredibly easy to access from most major roads and has ample parking. The atmosphere, ammenities, food, and service were phenomenal. All of the employees were professional and knowledgeable about the hotel, meeting rooms, facilities, packages and offerings. We met in the courtyard near the outdoor bar and cabanas overlooking the pool deck - everything was kept in pristine condition. Our group of about 50 people also took advantage of specially priced bar beverages, delicious food platters and passed hors doeuvres and a tour of one of the beautiful suites. I am sure many of us will visit again.
Amazing hotel. This hotel is the best value on the Island . You get breakfast and dinner, rooms are gorgeous and have a fridge, microwave oven, dishes and cutlery . The service is great, I cant say enough. I have been to hotels all over the world and am a business traveller and have yet to find this kind of value .
You feel that it is five star upon entering but once inside you realise the place isn’t. They tried to charge for the slippers which are cheap quality (see photo). In fact I had similar ones given on flights to Asia in economy. The desk chair was ripped and had paint on it (see photo). They tried to charge some ridiculous price for water although there is a kitchen and tap in the room. The restaurant staff wasn’t that great. They seemed uncomfortable with people that weren’t white. Food wasn’t extraordinary. They should invest in checking the spelling on about 60% of the labels for the food; it is embarrassing. Check in could be better. They didn’t even tell me about the free dinner or coffee/tea always available in the restaurant. The rooms facing the street aren’t sound proof even from routine traffic.
Helped my mother check in. Not bad, but not a good experience either. It was very busy from a couple weddings and there were only two employees that I saw, one at the front desk and one bell hop. Also, there wasnt anyone directing traffic which added to the chaos and frustration.
We were celebrating my little sisters birthday there and when we arrive our hotel room was beautiful then there was a misunderstanding about a dinner party so they were just going to give us leftovers at that point my family and I felt disrespected then they said they will prepare something for us and we ate and enjoyed the food . One of the staff was very kind and helpful
Wow! From the moment you walk in & are greeted by a Beautiful Huge Fire Place & again by your own personal suite, you are excited youre some place knew while remaining comfortable , as if you were still at home. This is due to the great lodge like furnishings everywhere vs crazy trendy neon colors you see in some places, tryin too hard. Not at the 🦊. Very clean & stylish rooms w/incredibly fast room service, the complimentary dinner tops the evening off perfectly. Taking away all the unneeded stress of trying to get the fam safe & delish food without having to jump in truck again. We will be back in June to hit this pool & check out the area in the spring. Great experience!!! Highly Recommended for Romantic get away or small family trip.
When we were considering Fox Hollow, we were given a tour as weddings were going on, and we of course were not able to view those spaces being occupied. We were not extended the same courtesy. We deserved the same respect that has and should be given to ALL paying customers. The venue paraded a perspective couple through our wedding, on our time which was completely tacky, unprofessional and unacceptable. When mentioned to the staff they literally shrugged their shoulders and asked what the big deal was. Excuse me? I did not pay for my wedding to be showcased to strangers. The complete lack of disregard was unwarranted. This was a private and intimate occasion meant to be shared with our family and our friends.I cannot in good faith recommend this venue to anyone. We spent a lot of money to have our wedding here only for the event to be interrupted so that the venue can make a potential sale.Aside from this mishap, everything else was decent. It is a beautiful place, that unfortunately I will not recommend unless you want this money hungry venue trying to pitch their services to other people while using your wedding as an advertisement.Too much time, energy and money went into our wedding for something as inappropriate as this to have happened on our big day.I would not recommend the Fox Hollow to anyone that is looking for a venue space as it is highly likely that they would disrespect and disregard all of your hard work effort that will go into your wedding. Ive had several people that are looking into venues ask about my experience with the Fox Hollow because they thought that it was a beautiful space, and I certainly let them know that apparently advertising and making sales is more important than anything else to the Fox Hollow on what should be your special day.I waited a few days before writing this review, but I honestly cannot get over this! I am utterly disappointed with the Fox Hollow.
The staff is very professional, polite and accommodating. They will try to do whatever they can to ensure your stay is pleasant and comfortable. Ive been staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow for over 5 years 2 to 3 times a year and I havent had a negative experience with their staff. The spacious suites are recently updated and are very nice. The bed is more comfortable than most other higher end hotels. They offer complimentary breakfast and dinner. The outside pool and hot tub are nice amenities during the summer months. They have meeting rooms to meet most sized groups. The Wi-Fi is fast and stable enough for the majority of guests needs. If the Wi-Fi isnt strong enough they have the ethernet cable available in all of the rooms and I found this to be faster than the Wi-Fi.
Our experience with the place was horrible. First n last time I go there. I made reservations n got my name totally wrong, I couldnt get into the room, stole our liquor, n a watch. The maids that cleaned our room didnt do a good job at cleaning. I couldnt even talk to management about what happened bcuz they were too busy to talk, I couldnt even get a discount off my room after all the incidents that happened. All they said is that this has never happened n were sorry.
Fantastic. I travel for business quite a bit and this was one of the best hotels Ive stayed at. Reasonable rates, breakfast/dinner/wifi all included, courtyard with pool, exercise room, suite style rooms, nice toiletries, friendly staff, free local shuttle... Just great. Very impressed.
Was at Fox Hollow for a conference and the facilities were perfect. It was also nice getting both breakfast and dinner included in our package so that we didnt have to venture out for meals. also, having a suite added to the experience.Further, the staff was more than accommodating and could not do enough to help out.
We had a great one night stay for our anniversary. I was looking for a place near a show we were going to in Westbury and found the Inn at Fox Hollow via a Tripadvisor deal. One bedroom king suite was nicely furnished. Fridge and kitchen were handy to have. Big fireplaces in public areas. The place was clean and all of the staff were extremely helpful. The mix in the hotel and at the bar (nice bar) was interesting as there were a lot of wedding-related people at the Inn.
Poor customer service. I stayed at the hotel while I was in town for a wedding and brought my dog with me. They placed me in a room next to another dog. I asked to be moved as the two dogs kept barking at one another. I had early check-in so there was plenty of rooms, however, I was told they would not move me. I later left for the wedding and was called as my dog continued to bark. I left the wedding early, got my dog, and left the hotel but was still charged. There was no concern for my dog or for my business.
Overall a very nice hotel. Some of the rooms could use a little improvement. I have been staying for 2 weeks at a time every month since June 2011. They provide free breakfast & dinner but it feels like the same thing everyday. Its good but gets old fast. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have fantastic internet speed (75 mb - 100 mb) down and (10 mb - 50 mb) up but it does go down a lot. On days when its stable its Great!!!Parking can be tough in the evenings when the company next door is putting on a dinner or presentation. They need to do a better job making sure parking is protected for hotel guests.
NOT PET FRIENDLY!! The concept of a Pet Friendly hotel is to experience the hotel with your pet. The Inn at Fox Hollow allows you to bring your pet into your room and then you must keep it there for $150 fee plus $15 per night. This is a bait and switch and absolutely ridiculous! The manager was no help either. She insisted that even holding my pet in what they called a ‘public area’ was forbidden.
I am giving this two stars not because of the accommodations, but because of the service. I stayed at this hotel because of a workshop that was taking place at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. I am from Texas and had to do my best to navigate to this place based on the best information that I could find. With that information, when I had taken the LIRR from NYC, I got off at the Cold Spring Harbor train station. Apparently this was not the right train station, even though it was the closest to the hotel. I had called different cab services and they would not pick up at this train station, so I called the hotel. I was told that the shuttle was busy and couldnt pick me up, but that they would transfer me to a cab service. This cab service would also not pick up at this train station. I had to walk the 2.5 miles to the hotel, with my luggage.Im not an unreasonable person, though, and knew that ultimately it was my fault. Just a bit frustrating because I would HOPE for more support from the hotel. Pushing that aside, that night I went back down to the front desk and made arrangements for the shuttle to drop me off and pick me up from the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for both Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday morning comes and the shuttle drops me off at the laboratory. I go through the day at the workshop and I am standing out front for about 10 minutes before I call to verify that Im supposed to be picked up. When I called, the gentleman on the phone had indicated that I was not on their schedule and asked who I talked to. I told him I did not know who I talked to (as I dont make it a habit to write down everyones name that provides a service to me). He put me on hold for about 3ish minutes and came back on to say that a shuttle was going to pick me up. Then he asked when.... ? Well, the answer at that point was about 15 minutes prior to the time we were speaking. So he told me that the shuttle was on its way. I waited an hour and no shuttle showed up. I had to call a cab. When I got to the hotel, I went back to the front desk because I was more than a little frustrated. When I mention that I was supposed to be picked up, the lady told me that I wasnt on their schedule and AGAIN asked who I spoke to. I moved on and verified my appointments for Thursday, which were both scheduled, but at different times than I was originally told.Thursday morning, I was dropped off on time by the shuttle and was really hoping for a better experience that day. When the workshop was over, I had passed on a tour of the Cold Spring Harbor Lab campus so that I did not miss the shuttle. 10 minutes after the shuttle was supposed to be there, I called to verify again that the shuttle was coming. The gentleman told me that it was on its way (again, the hotel is about 5 miles away from the lab). I waited 45 more minutes and the shuttle still hadnt shown up. The campus tour finished before I got to leave because another person attending the workshop gave me a ride since they were staying in the same hotel.I emailed the manager and have not heard back. Very disappointing trip for me. The accommodations are very nice. The food was good. This experience put a damper on the entire thing. I traveled across the country to a place that is very foreign to me. I felt helpless more than once and did not receive the service that the hotel told me was provided, as long as it was available.
Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Woodbury and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Valet parking is available. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Nice Rooms. On the expensive side so bring your credit cards. Staff is very accommodating. Close to the Expressway. We will definitely be going back.Thank you to the owner for responding. We look forward to patronizing your establishment again soon.ESJ
Here for a wedding last night as a guest, everything was top notch: food, service, catering overall, interior design (they remodel each 3y!), decorations (some aided by their design), venue, location, valet, lot, tons of bars, everything was superb, a great start to usher my newly wed friends into a new life together.
Unprofessional.....made a reservation online around 7am the morning of my stay and cancelled 2 hours later. They billed me anyway and refused to give a refund. The reservations manager was rude and not accommodating. Also I have been to an event here before and the food is crappy at best. Overall rating -1

2022-04-18The staff here is great. I helped my friends check in late Saturday night and there were at least a few people working the front lobby. Natasha at reception was especially helpful, giving us all the information we needed. Check in was quick and painless (wish all places were like this). The rooms interior was classy and we were able to settle in without issue. Thanks for the hospitality!

2022-06-10Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful! They gave us a free room upgrade which was very nice! Need more parking spaces. Only glitch is someone hit our car (we think it was with their door)while parked in the lot.

2022-05-17I will never go there again. Was in area for work and just needed to stay one night. The room was out dated and just smelled old. There was a bug in my room and they had wires hanging (pictures). Was not comfortable sleep at all and I was charged extra $100 dollars on my bill. Who really cares about anything else (service, food, etc) didnt even try any of that if you have to sleep in dirty smelling room with bugs and wires all over why stay. Dont stay staying away!

2022-03-21We have stayed there a few times over several years. Being from Syosset, I am delighted to say that this hotel is extremely convenient, hospitable, and clean. I have stayed at a couple of other places in the immediate area, but I never want to stay anywhere else other than Fox Hollow. There is just no comparison.

2022-01-25I would give this 0 stars if i could. This hotel sucks. Theres only 3 floors, the walls are thinner than the latest barbie doll, the cleaners are loud, and theres barely any privacy. Not to mention the food is so bad and overly flavorful that its just terrible. The beds arent rly that comfortable and they only serve dinner on weekdays. Terrible stay 0/10 wouldnt recommend.

2022-06-29We booked a stay at this hotel as a a staycation but were rudely treated with racist comments and demeaning abuse . The manager Maggie stalls kicked us out of the pool dispute the abuse calling us a “classless” I was discriminated because my son is autistic and Hispanic! We are a Hispanic family and we were abused because of the color of our skin! Do not go to this hotel unless you are white and affluent

2021-12-09Gorgeous decorations for Christmas. The rooms were amazing. Loved the pillows, and bed. It had a kitchen, and couches with table. Our room had a door to the outside. We enjoyed our stay. Well worth it!
