If you are in the area and need to cool down and grab a pint this is your spot. Ask for Khan if you want a special made cocktail. He is the best!Great american and Irish food for all ages. There’s a bunch of games, arcade games, pool tables, etc. You’ll enjoy your time.
Went after paintings recently with colleagues and located this place. There’s lots of room and they take a look at your temperature earlier than you go in. There wasn’t too many people coming in yet which is quality. A few has huge organizations, but they were a ways from our table. I like how this location has bars. One aspect had a juke field and one has a DJ. The server was attendant and excellent. The liquids were respectable. Theyd some pinnacle shelf liquors available for $20 a shot. We’ll in reality come lower back
My friend and I went here after work on Thursday March 17th, St. Patricks day. The place was packed. The drinks were good, reasonably priced. I NOW HAVE COVID on Monday March 21st. They dont ask for vaccinations and you dont have to wear a mask. As the city is opening up again...BEWARE
One awesome pub around downtown. Its big, very good crowd comes here. Love the entertainment, lot of screens inside covering all the area, there is a play zone which got snooker, ping pong and some other games. Excellent service.Food - 4/5Service - 4/5Ambiance - 4/5Cost - 3/5
Great wings! Caesar salad and burger were good. Decent beer selection, nice that they have a handful of local brews. Service was good, fast on arrival but then a little slower to refill beers. Busy place, but surprisingly spacious inside. Must check out the game room.
Went after work recently with colleagues and found this place. There’s plenty of room and they check your temperature before you go in. There wasn’t too many people coming in yet which is nice. Some has large groups, but they were far from our table. I like how this place has two bars. One side had a juke box and one has a DJ. The server was attendant and nice. The drinks were decent. They had a few top shelf liquors available for $20 a shot. We’ll definitely come back.
Ill start with how much I love irish pubs. I lived in Scotland and adored visiting Ireland. Thats why on my frequent trips to NYC, I always spend time in irish pubs. This establishment was GROSSLY DISAPPOINTING. First, all that seemed fitting was the occasional song by an Irish artist. Even the decor was off. When walking in, the lighting was very bright and we were 1 of 3 tables. I ordered an appetizer.. TWENTY FIVE minutes later we had to ask to place dinner order. At that time I asked for extra mustard for my appetizer...which I never got. I was so frustrated, I never ordered dinner nor did I finish my cold appetizer..On my next trip I will avoid this place!Visit April 16,2022 7:15pm
Good good and beer. Wished for more local IPA selections but thats being picky. The service was great. Find someone on the staff and they helped us get a table during a rather busy Friday night. Food was delicious. Spent about $40/per person with a drink or two each, an appetizer split and tip
I really love irish pubs....maybe in switzerland where i life is pretty rearly to find one..anyway i love the furnished interior , the light and some other stuff you can find in irish pubs. But This Pub is really a hotspot when you stay in NY....for me and my wife was just a perfekt stay...the sound , wine and the food was really delicious...but ouer waiter ( called Khan ) was the real base ....allways helpfull...smiling...and jokes...so thx you very much for this uncredible evening.
I loved my night here but it’s more like the company I came with made the night. It’s huge and we never have to wait long for a seat.Their food is decent, it’s like an extension of bar food. The drinks are pretty decent too. Their long islands are strong. Two of those in succession and you’ll be set for the night. You def need ID they ask for it as soon as you set foot. I suggest going to bar to get whatever it is you want the place is big enough and the waiters have their hands full. They have pool, beer pong and some other little arcade like things in there so just get drunk eat a little something bring great company and have a great time
Thankful for this bar mainly because it was the only bar in the area that seemed to be open past 10 PM, still serving food and they have clean bathrooms. After a much needed bathroom break, we decided to stay for some food and drinks because the bar was so fun. The kitchen was open until 12 AM and they had karaoke until 1 AM! The atmosphere was so lively!
Went there for a drink with a friend. Ended up staying a number of hours having cocktails chatting it up with Tim the owner which by the way is a really cool guy. Highly recommend getting the *chili its super tasty be warned it does have cheese on it for all my lactose intolerant people but still good*
Great little bar across the street from our hotel. Food was really good. I got the french dip and my wife got the shepherds pie, both were well seasoned and really good. Would have given 5 stars but it seemed like there was only 1 waitress working so service wasnt the greatest. She did her best to take care of everything but could have used another server to help her out.

The physical space is nice and the bar decorations feel fun and a nice mix of old and new. Sadly, the service is very slow. We waited to close our check for 20 minutes. This is not a problem today, because we are not in a rush. However, if we needed to be anywhere after this we would have been made late. Do not come here if you need to do something timely.
This was a great find! Went here with 2 friends while on vacation and it was well worth our 25 min walk from our hotel in Chinatown. I had the turkey PBLT which was amazing! And the brownie dessert was worth every calorie! The place has a really cool vibe. Our server was the manager, Mora, and she was fabulous. Very funny and nice, willing to help us tourists decide on our orders. If I didnt live across the country, Id make this a regular place!
Felt like a real Irish mobster walking down those iconic stairs.. Service is super fast and the food is good. Only draw back is we felt rushed to leave right away after receiving our check so they could turn the table, however, we were never asked to leave by any means. Just the vibe. 4 stars!
This place was a lot bigger than it looked, very spacious for a pub. The bartender service was wonderful and the food was good. I was there on a Thursday with some friends. And to my surprise a karaoke DJ showed up, he was amazing. This one lady went up to sing and it was her first time and he sang with her and helped her through the song. We all had a great time, stayed there until closing.
Really expensive items, even during happy hour the drinks are about $7. We got nachos for $18, they werent even good quality. I guess thats what you get in FiDi. The service was not great either. She threw our menus on the table and knocked the utensils on the chairs and didnt say sorry. Maybe she was having a hard day or maybe it was bc we were in a big group and tip is automatically added on. This place is good for big groups though if thats what youre looking for.
Went here last week for a friends birthday. The wings were freaking amazing! Some of the best Ive had in a while. The bartender was great too. didnt treat me like another customer and instead actually talked and joked with me although it was busy. Id make another trip here for some beer and wings no problem.
The French soup was cheesy, with a rich dark broth. It hit all the notes one wants in a hearty tasting soup. The fish of the fish and chips was a large portion, well battered and served hot, the chips were boring and lukewarm. Able to receive a sample of beer before a full order. Absolutely delicious and allowed me to try a different beer than my usual. The restraint was quite enough to hold a regular conversation with friends. The background music didnt force us to scream.
Third night in NY: favoured some other food than burgers. Irish looked attractive. This pub was in the nabourhood, so we walked other there. All 5 of us had other dishes and we all liked them. Beers were good too. So a very nice evening. Regarding the bill: beware of the tax and standard gratuity (20%).
My favorite bar in NYC. Great food, great service, great ambiance; whether it’s to watch the Premier League, Liverpool, any major sporting event(including PPV BOXING), karaoke, shoot pool, play ping-pong/video games, or to just hide in a quiet corner and talk, eat & drink- this is the spot. It’s a giant bar built underneath the Fulton Street Station/Fulton Center in downtown Manhattan. It’s an epic place with epic people. Highly recommend.
This is a very clean bar. Lots of interesting tourists here. But the problem is this.I asked the owner for a Grey Goose martini. And he said go away!He said get out! And in the past, I always praised this bar. And I brought many of my friends there. Well. Those days are over!
My boyfriend and I have been Loyal customers at the Irish American for going on 4 years now!!!! Their drinks are strong, their food is Amazing && their wings are the ABSOLUTE BEST in NYC! I Highly recommend!!!! Make sure Khan is your waiter as well. His service is awesome.
Have yet to have a bad night while here! Great atmosphere and perfect for a night out or a celebration with a small or large crowd. There are two bars that are well stocked with a variety of liquor. The bartenders are very understanding about food allergies and cater to those special request.
It was very well lit atmosphere! At first when I walked in it was very awkward as it was many businessmen in suits and I wasnt even dressed up, Nowhere to sit as most tables were taken or reserved and a full bar! I managed to find an open seat at the bar thats when the barback Trish was very attentive! She made my drink and it was great( far from watered down) I overall enjoyed myself! I definitely will be going there again and recommend anyone to go there as well!
Nice hang out place located down a flight of stairs.Larger than expected. Game room in the back - pool, darts, ping pong, few video games, basketball, air hockey, fooz ball...not great stuff, not the best conditioned equipment but still fun!Good service. Friendly atmosphere.
What can I say about the Irish American? Quick, (named after how quick he resolves conflict Im sure) always greets you at the door with a smile! Hes one of my favorite people in this place along with of course Mrs.Donna, my favorite bartender! Yes guys, actual Irish people work here. Food is decent but the kitchen closes early in comparison to other bars in the neighborhood.I recommend trying the french onion soup, Its very tasty. Be careful with some of the appetizers, I ordered the crab cakes and got a free caesar salad with it definitely could be listed as an entree! The place is huge, with games and karaoke in the back even a pool table.
Its underground with a standard bar & grill atmosphere. Food and beer prices are what youd expect for the area so not super cheap but not super expensive either. Beer is at a good price and they have beers on tap and of course full liquor bar. Its not bad to meet up with friends and enjoy some drinks after work.
Good food and beer. They also have air hockey and billiards. Weve been here with friends many times, and most of the times the experience was ok, but our last visit was disappointing. The waitress whose name was Nancy led us to the table, gave menu and brought us food but no forkes and knives. We had to find her ourselves and ask for them. She didnt check on us then, and in the end we again had to go and find her to ask for check. She gave the check to my friend, didnt bring it to the table, and then my friend had to go to her and ask her to pack food to go. She gave him the container and came to the table only when we were leaving to pick up money.
This is a fun place to relax, burn off some steam playing games like pool, darts, or table tennis, or show off your singing skills with some Friday night karaoke. Of course having a tasty bite and some liquid strength might encourage you to sing a tune in front of your friends and co-workers.
I was here with my family about a week after Christmas. We were exhausted from walking around doing tourist-y things and wanted to watch a (nationally televised) college bowl game being played at Yankee stadium. The bartender refused to change the channel, even though no one was watching whatever soccer game was on. Finally, she said she could switch one tv and we said we were happy to move if it meant being able to see the game.A waitress took out order and we never saw her again. The other staff were much friendlier and brought our food and came by to check on us. We eventually flagged someone down to pay the check. The food was standard pub fare and there was a good beer selection - and I believe someone was kind enough to take our 2 beers off of the check.I would try this place again since other wait staff seemed to step in to help us but my expectations of the service are a little low.
I like the Irish American because it is a great place to cut loose to kick off the weekend. Good drink specials and a mixed crowd lead to lots of adventures. Karaoke is fun (Wed,Thurs,Fri). Wings are great here. Asked for a round of car bombs however and it was not made correctly.
I like this bar. Bartenders are nice. Cocktails are stronger than you might expect. It is a quite a large place. They also have a pool table and a pingpong table. Many tables fot food ad well. I like their bbq wings. The other day, this guy sat next to me stole my wing from my plate and ran away.
The only reason to come here is the music. And the restaurant clearly knows it.Music was great, of course. If that were all I was reviewing, it would get 4-5 stars. If the restaurant was the only thing I was reviewing, it would be lucky to get 2 stars. The wine was terrible and overpriced. So I switched to prosecco, which was mediocre at best. I didnt have a meal here (thank god), but did sample some of my friends french fries. Mediocre, but palatable. If youre coming to a show, I strongly recommend you eat somewhere else first.
After a manager noticed us, she approached and took our order for drinks and food over 20 mins after being seated. Kitchen brought food and we approached the bar for a beer. Fries were cold. Never saw a waitress. Every table around us were frustrated as well. Dont recommend.
Authentic to very waitress whos accent was so deep , it was a treasure reminding us of our Irish grandmother. Food was spot on, atmosphere was cozy as you walk down into the restaurant from the bust street to your own emerald island. This is a must do for some Bangers.
Drive to this location hoping to get a beer. The bar was very busy and pact with business people. The bartender made eye contact but did not return to serve me after 13 minutes. I ended up going to another bar called Apotheke which I really recommend, however they do not serve beer if that is what youre looking for.
My friend and I come here often. The pub is VERY VERY large and has 2 pool tables, ping-pong, fooz ball tables and an arcade game area as well! The pub is 2 sided, meaning two separate areas and has two separate bars to order drinks at. They also have karaoke nights but Im unsure which nights. It has probably 40 TVs throughout the entire pub so you never miss anything no matter where you areand they show all sports and PAY PER VIEW fights and dont charge for anything.
After being soaked by the rain we sat down for some lunch. I asked the waitress to lower the air conditioning blowing right on me...that didnt happen....strike 1. Ordered an app which missed the mark in so many levels.strike 2 Entree was returned immediately. Inedible fish and chips. One piece of fish which may have been left in deep fryer since last St Patricks Day...just awful.Strike 3. Do not recommend this place for anything unless you are in the mood for disappointment.
The waiters are very kind and efficient, the food is good (for the plates I tasted), the prices are cheap enough and the pub has a nice warm atmosphere, everybody seems friendly here. Maybe the only notable drawback is the AC, it is maybe too cold for my taste, but that’s subjective. Overall, a nice place I’d recommand.
The notsonice bouncer will check ID. The horseshoe bar is packed and will have to wait to get a seat. Once i found a seat, the bartenders are neutral until I specifically helped them with a food order which they were NOT OBSERVANT to. I ordered chicken fingers to go. Turned out to be 4 pieces of chicken for $14. APPAULING!!!! It should have cost the most $8. Typical frozen chicken tenders. Wed-Fri karaoke. Thats their life savior. Amateur singing from disco to rock to hip hop. Always a crowd no matter the genre. Will give it another try only because of the karaoke female DJ.
A great place to go after work and grab a drink with great friends. My coworker and I went out and got the wings in Jameson sauce and quesadillas it was amazing the server was super nice and the food was great they played good music and we found out they also have karaoke very lively place to be
I stopped into the Irish American Pub while waiting for a friend from Brooklyn to meet me before returning to Jersey City. Thought Id only be getting drinks but ended up eating brunch (the traditional Irish breakfast), which was phenomenal. Bartender Tim was equally as phenomenal. I will definitely be back soon.
So, the bouncer cards the group of 7 young women who come in at 5:00pm who repeatedly say they just want dinner. Have to explain it repeatedly to both a waitress and apparently the manager that yes they are over 18 but under 21 and want a table for 7 for dinner. And then the waitress snotily say you really think youre going to get a table at 5oclock for 7 people without ordering drinks? Are you kidding me?? This is how you run a business? Glad my daughter and her friends told YOU to take a hike and took their business elsewhere! Get over your pretentious selves.
Went there for the first time even though I have been in the area for a few years. The place is huge with several bar areas. Was there for an event in their game room which had a pool table, ping pong, darts and other games. The buffet was just ok, nothing special. I may still go at lunchtime to give it a try and report back...
I used to visit this place regularly. I would come on a bi-weekly and sometimes even weekly fashion. A few weeks ago, I came to this place with some friends for Cinco de mayo. The wait time for getting a drink was ridiculously long. It appears that the place was understaffed. My bill was $35 and with tip, it amounted to about $45. The next day I noticed that the bar had charged me the original amount, and there was also another transaction for $65 dollars. I immediately called the place, explained my situation but they said I had to talk to the manager. They told me the manager wasn’t in for the day and I should try calling the following Tuesday. I continued to call every day that week without successfully getting a hold of the manager. Finally, on the Friday after, I had to personally go to speak to him. I explained the situation and how they had charged me incorrectly. He tried to accuse me of charging for the second amount and not remembering and that there is no way it was their mistake. I told him I was a regular and I just had a few drinks and left. He continued to try to cover himself by telling me there’s no way they could have charged me for a different amount. I explained to him that there were 2 people with the same last name that night, and it is possible that they mixed the names and charged me for their bill. He told me that his accountant was not in until the following Thursday. He said that because I am a regular, he would try to reverse the charge but he would let me know.I never got a call from them, nor did I get my money back. I am very disappointed with this place and I will never be going back. A lot of people from my office typically visit this place, and I will make sure they lose our business. They will mess up, charge you more than you owe and then blame you for it. The manager was rude and unprofessional. I recommend that if you visit this place during a busy night, bring cash. Obviously the bartenders are overworked and they don’t know who they’re charging or what for.
I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :)Drinks: Standard pub drinks. Nice selection of craft beers.Food: Pretty good for a pub. I recommend the chicken sandwich!Space: This is your classical pub, but with an interesting twist. In addition to a pool table and darts boards; they have a foosball table, table tennis, and an air hockey table!Scene: Very cozy and casual bar. Good for get-togethers and unwinding..Crowd: Mix of tourists, locals, and commuters.Service: Very attentive and courteous!
I didnt like this place at all. The stuff wasnt friendly, the beer had a weird taste and the food was super oily, it was obviously they re use the oil, not fresh at all and the taste wasnt good. I ordered spring rolls and it looked more like chips, I wouldnt come back to this place.
Shepherds pie is a great treat. Make room in your belly. Its a good size for only $14. the Italian Linguni with spicy sausage. Is also a great choice. Very nice looking area.Great place for tourist in town. They have many TVs for watching the sport of your choice.Pool table foosball table tennis and other games to play while there.
Really spacious, and kareoke on fridays. The bar is separated into 5 or six areas with a restaurant upstairs. Ive been there half a dozen times and still havent seen all of it. The drinks cost around $10, but they are heavy handed with their drinks. Youll never feel like the bar tender skimped out on your drink
The wings are THE BOMBBBB!! The atmosphere is happy but noisey, with kareoke, conversations, laughing and music.Their is a gaming area, an eating area, an area for karaoke and all areas and most inches of the floor are occupied . The service is great, swift and the place is just wondeeful.
This place is disgusting. The bathrooms are so nasty with trash old beers and flies everywhere... I didnt want to touch anything in this place. Should have just left after using the bathroom but firgured its hard to mess up nachos! They were black on the edges, so over cooked! Awful, so confused by the good reviews....
I have been to this place four times because my work does not like to pay a lot when taking employees out for after-work drinks. You will be enjoying greasy fried food that was recently defrosted in a sprawling basement cavity with all the other office workers who wanted something cheap and easy. Getting service for a table is an activity not unlike hunting in which you have to find, track, and capture a fast moving target who is trying to avoid you. Bar service will give you a range of uncreative standard drinks in a manner ranging anywhere between friendly and uber-grumpy. That they pay a hobo to wear a sandwich board at the end of the street should tell yu everything you need to know.

2021-12-23We are from San Fran where the Buena Vista Irish Coffees are superior; this place is right on par. Not only do they make incredibility delicious irish coffee, the food is so good! I had a chicken Caesar salad, which was perfect. Husband had a burger and my son had buttered noodles...we were all very happy with our meals. Service was quick and our waitress was amazing. The best part of this place is the rustic atmosphere...almost like a speakeasy tucked under the street in a basement space. Once you are in here, you just dont want to leave. One of our best finds!

2022-01-15I have no qualms about spending $16.33 for breakfast, but I do expect an adult-size portion for that amount. What I received today was an omelette hardly bigger than a metro card. I am somewhat impressed, as it appears it was made with only one egg, which I didnt think was possible. Unfortunately, a rather burnt taste permeated the folded egg as well. Barely worth mentioning was a tiny scattering of potatoes and two slices of bone dry toast. I was told it would be ready in 12 minutes, but when I got there 15 minutes later, it still wasnt ready, and I had to wait another 5 minutes - not a huge deal, but it didnt exactly improve things. Finally, all the staff I observed were unmasked - not sure if they get an exemption for being in a basement, maybe? In all, I recommend you skip this place for breakfast, and if youre concerned at all about getting covid.

2021-09-04A huge underground restaurant/bar! This is the place to be if you have a large party or want to watch a sports game or you just want some delicious Irish themed drinks/food. My Reuben sandwich was top notch! Ill definitely be going back, especially for the free whiskey shots at the end of your meal.

Shout out to the guy at the door - he was the coolest, nicest guy. We came into Manhattan for just 1 night, and I’m so glad we picked this spot!

2021-11-24It was ok at best. The place is underground and is big and clean. The service was ok. The food was not the best but I should have got something other than the chicken wings and fries. The burger that my friend had looked and tasted better. The cheese sticks and fried pickles were decent appetizers. Good sit down Irish spot in the area!

2022-02-27The appearance of the outside does nothing for the inside. Its just beautiful in this establishment. Its a mixed crowd. There are students that frequent due to Pace campus being across the street. The drinks are awesome 👌🏼 and the food is just as good. I would highly recommend this spot.

2022-02-21Great place to grab a Guinness and chat with the 🇮🇪 bartender. We were there Saturday afternoon and the bar was a little busy with guys watching soccer, the bartender was really nice, it was clean and cozy. Don’t know about evenings, bartender said the place is popular with young Pace university students.
