I ordered here for the first time today. Service was fine but the food was not. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was disgusting. The spicy buffalo dressing wasn’t spicy at all, had too much mayonnaise, and was ice cold. I had two bites and had to throw it out. Sadly I won’t be ordering from here again.
We came here to get a treat and relax, continues to be a horrible experience. I got an almond horn and it basically almost broke my teeth. The staff is nice but only physically there - mentally somewhere else. When they are not texting you will get their full attention. I took a picture to show the wonderful peaceful view we had while enjoying our treat.This place has so much potential but sad to see it in this way. The prices speak of a fancy eatery - not this. Very high priced. I probably won’t come back here.
I ordered pasta primavera, they gave me this. Worst part is I paid around $21 for this plate. This place used to be good.

Come here for the best bacon egg & cheese in White Plains in the mornings. Just make sure the buff looking Spanish dude with the geled hair makes it for you as he knows how to make a good one 👌that being said, the others need to learn a bit from him. Took a star because I havent had anything else from here but the BECs so it wouldnt be fair to just go off that!

This place has a lot of selection, fresh ingredients, the fresh mozzarella is out of this world. Great Italian style deli and pizzeria. The only issue is its very difficult to find a place to park but other than that the service is quick and its a great place.

This place is great. So far, Ive liked everything Ive had. They have this amazing chopped salad bar, where you choose your own ingredients. You see the employees wash their hands, wash the dishes and change their gloves. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. My coworker and I have been there twice in 3 days. Wonderful place!

Stopped by to get some sweets. Very disappointed with their Sarah’s raspberry chocolate cookies. It says “raspberry” but it has a very strong cherry maraschino flavor instead. I was craving raspberry and got the only thing I cannot stand to: artificial cherry maraschino. They should have told me when I asked what is made of. E’clairs were so so.

Very solid eatery. Wide selection, fresh ingredients, heavenly smelling on-site bakery. Staff is responsive, polite, and the counter people are expert sandwich makers. Also, quiye reasonable prices considering the location.

Another AMAZING lunch from the Iron Tomato! Its been a while since we ordered deli sandwiches and was so pleased with our food today. Everything was so fresh and tasted delicious. The macaroni salad is the best that I have ever had! I highly recommend stopping in for lunch as they truly have it ALL and always so fresh!!
I love the food and all the different options at this place. Although the more I call for delivery the more disappointed I become . This morning in particular when I called, a man answered and started my order and then passed it off halfway through to a very aggressive woman.She had so much attitude like I somehow inconvenienced her by even calling. I hope she realizes that I almost canceled my order on the spot. Now realizing I should have since the sandwich was missing ingredients and my bagel looked steeped on and they didnt deliver our coffee and tea with our meals. We were treated nicely when I called to complain so the gentleman that recieved the call was very professional and I appreciate that.
They had a wide variety of food and tasty Italian bakery dishes and a wide variety of choices, when it comes to flavor they definitely try to pack it in the food, if your ever passing by, never hesitate to give it a try, The Iron Tomato..
I was Yelping places to get good iced coffee and breakfast food near my hotel and this place looked the most promising. My family and I walked the two blocks to The Iron Tomato and walked out happy we made the decision. Waling in the place can seem a little confusing but dont worry, someone will quickly point you in the right direction.The restaurant is divided into different areas, pastries, lunch, hot foods, breakfast, etc. Again, dont worry, the staff is awesome and will tell you what you need to know.We were there for breakfast and ordered iced coffee, a couple of bagels with locks and cream cheese and my son ordered pancakes and bacon. All were really good; definitely no complaints.
This was a spur of the moment find for my son and me. It was just amazing from the food to the service. Great pizza and amazing smoothies not to mention the baked goods. I was hooked upon entering the place. They have something for everyone and i would highly recommend stopping in.
I cannot say enough great things about iron tomato! The food, the people and the service is all spectacular! We have been delivering food to some of my coworkers loved ones as they are essential workers and iron tomato has delivered! Going out of their way to deliver and keep me posted on the progress! Great salads and decent food all around BUT!!! if you are in a hurry and want a decent deli sandwich etc- the wait and ineptness of service is excruciating! with half the help completely inept in food service and then another 10 minutes waiting painfully to pay for your food while the cashiers are in the bakery or making expresso! Also the sandwich quality changes from day to day being ok to absolutely horrific! The owners / managers seem to be more interested in socializing rather than expediting the orders and helping the waiting customers get back to work!
When you order more then one sandwiches they don’t mention on it … which is vegetarian and which one is meat or chicken… lot of confusion… Kindly for future reference please do that.
Visited this bakery 3 times this week while on a trip to White Plains. The bakery was great! A huge selection of desserts. One of the owners was very friendly in helping me find gluten friendly items, and even went to the back to bring out a gluten free brownie which wasnt on display at the time. All of the desserts we had were all delicious, and staff were always very friendly. Highly recommended!
Had two bad experiences at this place the last one ordered a bacon egg cheese sandwich white toast. They cook put it on a roll said thats how I ordered it and he did not have white bread. Since when did a sandwich white toast indicate a roll. The second time with getting a simple bacon,egg cheese SANDWICH wrong how hard is that to fix. Being new to this area there are so many places to eat at in White Plains your not limited on selections. I do however like to find one place to be able to go morning and lunch time this place will not be it.
Ordered a salad with shrimp to go. No shrimp in the salad. Be careful when ordering take out. Could not go back so we overpaid for the salad!
Amazing selection of salads. Top notch burgers, Italian specialties and, of course, the pastries, out of which Napoleon (in many varieties) is my favorite selection. Very friendly staff. Perfect downtown location. Ive seen many food establishments come and go on Mamaroneck Ave. These guys have been here for many years and are here to stay!!
I used to come here frequently for the past few years. The service was always great and the food was always quick to pick up. Apparently that all ended today. It took 45 mins for someone to attend to my order at the deli with two people serving customers and only one person ahead of myself. The server at the pizza station looked bored watching these two servers at the deli attend to customers as his line for pizza was nonexistent. After finally ordering a simple chicken wrap at the counter, I asked for two crab cakes. After the server rung them up, I looked at the price on the container and it was marked for close to $30. The server tried to charge me $44.99 per pound for two crab cakes. I gave it back to him and just left this establishment. I wont be coming back here again as it looks like they lost interest in their customer base and lost their quality in food control. The servers takes incredibly way to long to handle customers for simple food requests and when a line does start to form the servers at the other stations just twiddle their thumbs. With the increasing amount of other food establishments in the White Plains area, I would totally avoid this one.
The Iron Tomato deli is my favorite place to grab lunch or a quick dinner to-go in White Plains. The selection of food is vast, the quality is high and the service is fast and efficient while the prices are very fair for the quantity and quality. Everything from the deli selections to the salad bar to the pizza is excellent. The bakery is top-notch with amazing selections. Ive never been disappointed here and I highly recommend it. The lunch crowd can be quite large so plan your expectations and wait time accordingly.

I ordered an Italian combo and it was the worst. The women had a hard time making my sandwich then used the hard provolone cheese where you shred on pasta not deli sliced and they charged $11.50 for the whole thing.The meats did not taste right with no flavor, royal scarlet has a better Italian combo and its way cheaper. Comparing 11 to 6 go to Royal ScarletI tried to give this place a chance but if they cant make a sandwich right there is no need for my money.

My offices go to spot for lunch. The salads are OK, not great. If you order kalimata olives, watch out for pits as I almost cracked a tooth once. The sandwiches are the best IT (iron tomato) has to offer, and theyre all big and quite filling. Never get sushi there- its way over priced and youd get more at a sit down place ordering to go on seamless or something.
Id give them a zero but they dont want that rating, reason why? My wife went in for some fresh mozzarella and they charged her over $10 for a one pound ball. She paid for it by debit card and an additional charge of $1.50 which brought the total bill to over $11 There was no signage depicting the additional fees for using a debit or credit card. Id look elsewhere for the same product for half the price.
They make the best Balboa I have ever eaten. Not happy they pass on the cc fee to the consumer. They didnt reduce their prices since this was implemented. They always send out warm 20 oz sodas.
The food is good. The salads are a little pricey but they are made to order and pay by the weight so you are paying a little more than normal but its worth it. The bakery products are always tasty. Havent had a bad thing from there yet.

I wish I had a place like this in Miami! I walked over to The Iron Tomato for lunch last week and what a pleasant surprise this was. Just walking into the place you know you are going to have a great experience. I decided to go for the Sandwich 1 which is the Roast beef sandwich. I have to admit it was the best Roast Beef sandwich I have had in a long time. Freshly sliced homemade meat with the perfect amount of horseradish sauce on a delicious artisan baguette. I only wish I had enough space to take more food with me. Everything looked and smelled appetizing. I cant wait to come back to White Plains to get some more of this goodness.
Good food, nice outdoor seating area. Everything is made fresh and large portions. I would have given 5 stars, but the lettuce on my tuna and tomato and lettuce sandwich was wilted, brown and hardly no lettuce at all. I like crunch. But lots if tuna salad and freshest bread ever.
Great place to grab lunch. Lots of variety. Hot or Cold. Salads, Sandwiches, Plates, Pizza. Always fresh, tasty and good size portion. Excellent Bakery items to bring back to the office for a 4pm treat. Seating could be better. Limited space.
Hot food was pretty bad, got overcharged at the deli, and they didnt heat up the chicken and mushrooms I got (they thought it was salad I guess). Pretty awful, almost inedible meatballs. The cold salad was good. This place used to be good, also the Iron shaker had great cocktails. Wont be coming back here for a long while.

They have just about everything youd find in one specific restaurant. The lunch rush is obviously their busiest time. I order ahead of time and if you live/work close by, you can save that $3 fee GrubHub charges for delivery (if its a nice enough day to walk)
Cute little place that offers everything you would need. Their baked goods are amazing and their breakfast is fantastic. This is my new go to spot since they have egg sandwiches on croissants.
One of my go-to local places. They have a large selection of items, all of them good. You can get salads, sandwiches, pizza, sushi, deli foods, hot meals and much more. Their bakery section is great too. Love picking up some desert items on my way out to eat later.

Great catering experience! I needed breakfast catered for clients in White Plains. When I called to place my order, I expressed concerns about the Yelp reviews which were critical of their delivery time. Steve, one of the owners got on the phone and handled my order personally. Every part of my experience met or exceeded my expectations, from the placing of the order, delivery time (food arrived 15 minutes early) - food was hot, clients raved about it. Thank you Steve and your team for making me look good!
Everything looks amazing and the service was pleasant. If I had to pick on something it would be that my brownie was a little dry and more cake like than brownie. But thats my personal preference. All in all my cappuccino and peanutbutter chocolate brownie combo was delicious. The wife had the tiramisu which was equally scrumptious. Im definitely going back because they are not only a dessert cafe but they have sandwiches and pizza I believe in the back.... to be continued....
Best Deli/Everything in White Plains. When these guys make something, they make it great! Sandwiches, Pizza, Pasta, Sushi, Salads, Baked Goods. Called at 215 asking for a call ahead for a sandwich. The person on the phone puts me on hold for a few minutes and tells me there is no rolls and they cannot do the sandwich because they close at 3pm. Since Im walking past there anyway I stop in anyway and see if I want something else. The person at 240 by the deli counter is getting a sandwich on A ROLL and getting kind service and I get told no. It says closing at 3pm. I get it if I had showed up at 245 looking for a sandwich but I called ahead 45 minutes to closing and was told no to see they had the ability to complete the order just didnt want to. This is for today 6/30/2020. Just poor service and really insulting. Will be rethinking my next order I guess. 😔
Friendly and accommodating. My son wanted sausage on his pizza. They added some to a wonderful piece of maghritta!The pastries were lovely, but too large and the eclair lacked flavor.
I ordered a catered buffet for a graduation party from Iron Tomato. Everything was delivered hot and fresh and on-time. Iron Tomato provided DELICIOUS gluten free pasta and vegetable options. And everyone — no matter what their dietary needs — proclaimed the food FABULOUS and asked WHERE DID YOU GET THIS? I am very happy with the service and the food from Iron Tomato and they will definitely be my caterers again!
Iron Tomato did a fantastic job with the catering for my daughters wedding last weekend! We ordered the combination buffet. Not only was everything absolutely delicious, but both deliveries were made on time so that dinner was hot and fresh. I had to accommodate multiple special dietary needs and arrange the order from my home in Maryland, but Michael and Stephen made the ordering process a breeze. Thank you, Iron Tomato!
I look forward to visiting this place each time I am in White Plains. A million options and everything is delicious. Salads, deli, pizza and calzones and delicious bakery items - everything is fantastic and reasonably priced! The employees are always super friendly and helpful me pack things to bring home. This place is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend took me here a few weeks back with hopes of purchasing a bakery good that he used to get all the time when he lived in White Plains. Upon entering, I was shocked to see that this normal looking store from the outside, had transformed into bakery heaven on the inside. It was a delightful surprise to smell the sweet scent of every type of muffin, cupcake, cookie, and cake being displayed in neat glass shelves all across the store. The cashiers were extremely friendly and had the patience to explain any questions I had about the contents of each baked good. They even offered us samples of certain muffins and giant garlic/sesame sticks. I walked out of there with a bag full of goodies, and the price wasnt bad at all for such delicious treats. This place is a must for anybody traveling to White Plains. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy the sights of White Plains out the window, while having a freshly baked, intricately decorated cupcakes.
I leave 2 stars bc the experience is great. You will ooh and aah in the bakery section, be happy at the toss ur own salad station, yum at the pizza station, and be delighted in the deli section (when you LOOK at everything). I have returned 6 times, work near. I have NEVER purchased anything that tasted anywhere near Good, nevertheless excellent. Its expensive, looks awesome but from my experience.. pizza awful, Italian combo hero gross, cookies tasteless, salad station with old chicken, its just bizarre. I dont get it.
Went to by recommendation as we didnt know the area, new town. Great selection of food and had my 2 children. Friendly service. Couldnt be happier as we had choices there. Pizza was very good. Whole bakery area so kids went berserk. 😊
We ordered red velvet and strawberry cupcakes, dolce de lèche brownies, French Napoleon and Sarah cookies. The cupcakes neither tasted like strawberries nor red velvet, and were completely dry and the icing was way too overly sweet. The cupcakes tasted exactly like the boxed vanilla cake mixes, and the icing tasted like it was out of a can with some added flavors to change the taste. The brownies, napoleon, and chocolate cake tasted old and like cardboard. The Sarah cookies tasted like I was drinking almond extract from the bottle. I am completely disappointed in every single item we ordered.My wife and I eat lunch here, and the food is delicious, so we wanted to try the bakery. HUGE mistake. I wish I could say I am over exaggerating, but I’m not.The customer service is EXCELLENT and everyone is extremely nice. The bakery just seems to not be up to the same standard as the restaurant, which is a shame. We will definitely be back to eat at the restaurant
The Iron Tomato is TOP NOTCH! These guys are the real deal! They go above and beyond with customer service. The food is just a bonus. I ordered a Birthday cake for my Wife that was suppose to be picked up at 2pm I got caught in traffic on i95 and was not going to make it to the store before it closed. The Iron Tomato left the cake across the street at Ichiros and I picked it up from there they saved the special day. #rulewithanirontomato

So many options that it is a good place when you just arent sure what you want. The bakery is so delicious and just makes you want to eat everything until your pants burst! Garbage cans were overflowing but other than that the restaurant was clean.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie Filled with Cannoli filling was out of this world.

Was eating a parmesan sandwich which tasted delicious until I found, not one, but three hairs on the paper that wraps the sandwich. Disgusting. Isnt it mandatory for people working with food to wear hair nets? My husband said the person wrapping the sandwich did not have a hair net!

I was missing a good French napoleon. Happy to see it there but what a disappointment. Mostly cream and a bad one. Maybe the American way of doing napoleons Also not impressed with the tiramisu. The same cream as for the napoleons. Their cookies are very good. Overall I think they are a bit pricey and sitting area not too clean.
Green mold all over the inside of my panini!!! It wasn’t just a little...the entire inside was covered in mold. I was horrified and showed the man who was working and he did give me a refund but didn’t even bother to apologize. Acted like it was completely normal and no big deal. Have some pride in what you do...if I served that quality of food to someone I would’ve been absolutely mortified. Apparently this must be a common occurrence. I will never ever go back to this place and I certainly hope they get their act together. People could get sick from their negligence.

The Iron Tomato is amazing. It has everything. Its a pizzeria, full deli with hot specials and excellent quality deli meats. You can get refrigerated meals of every kind, salads ect. They also have an amazing bakery section. There must be over 40 different items. Cakes, pies, pastries, cookies ect. I got a slice with sausage and peppers and two slices of red velvet cake to go. They also have several tables if you want to eat in
Catered food for a home party: food and service were amazing. All of my guests enjoyed the sandwiches, pizza and especially the riceballs. Michael was accommodating to my needs and requests and even customized the dessert to my occasion. Definitely having Iron Tomato cater again and again!
The food is okay sometimes. Too expensive though. Bought a fudge cake for more than I shouldve spent on any single slice of prepackaged cake. It was dry and vile. I think a dog may walk away from it and start licking its *ss instead! Got a couple overpriced sandwiches which were okay. $25. For a sandwich and a slice of dry cake. 😞

If you want the best wrap in Westchester def go to Iron Tomato. They have the freshest ingredients always and it’s a family owned place. They are so great they make you want to keep coming back.

Got a oreo cake yesterday. The cake was nasty. Tasted like its been sitting in the fridge for weeks. Even the actual oreo cookie that were at the top of the cake was disgusting, had to spit it out! Didn’t like it at all

2021-11-03There are a few absolutely delightful places to buy breakfast and lunch and one of my favorites is The Iron Tomato that’s open 10-4 everyday except Sundays. They are famous for their homemade sandwiches as well as their pizzas, deli, bakery, sushi, salads and their fresh smoothies! They have indoor and outdoor seating and they also sell some staples that you can eat and drink when you get home. And if you are visiting someone, they have lovely trays of cookies snd cakes that make great gifts.

The gentleman that I made the arrangements with was so kind, understanding and helpful . He helped me create a menu that included 3 , different specific dietary requests.> Its no wonder that my granddaughter suggested the Iron Tomato as the caterer of choice. Food was fresh, beautifully presented and was plentiful. Also loved the party wrap around the sandwiches and dessert platters. Very festive.> Thank you again for everything!!!!>
