The Iroquois New York in New York
This is a beautiful boutique hotel in an absolutely perfect location. You can get anywhere in town within 20 minutes. They currently have no restraunt and their coffee cart is only setup a few hours in the morning. There is no coffee pot in the room, a definite minus. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the water pressure is not so good. Everyone working at the hotel was wonderful and very helpful. There is a coffee shop across the street that is open until 6 I think, but also a cafe called the red flame just down the street. We ate breakfast there every day we were there. Everything was very good.
The hotel was practically empty - January in Covid time :-(Shower was very weak. The bathroom was pretty small and cold (floor heat did t work). The bathroom door handle fell after the first use.We asked for a quite room ahead of time and verified again upon check in and we’re told “yes, away from elevator “.We got a room in the back of the elevator shaft where we heard every one that used it on our floor. The room was smelly .The windows have “blinds” which do not block the light completely. There is a big gap under the door.No coffee/ tea in the room and before you say COVID, the “mini bar” was fully stock AND more stuff for sale on top (and don’t dare to put anything in the fridge - they’ll charge you $25! In all my extensive travels over the world I never encounter anything like that…).One day There were drilling (and other) noises from around 8am ( Sounded like work in the hotel) and the next day construction noises that started before 8:00 am.We were promised free upgrade and drinks every day (by Hotels.com) but we’re offered neither .And as a farewell, they posted $28+ @ day “resort fee” (for what? Did I miss the pool? The beach?) which they did NOT disclosed upon check-in.You won’t see us again Iroquois …
Super safe, convenient location. In between Times Square and the NY Public library. Rooms are small (typical in NYC) but adequate and nicely furnished. Photos online are very representational of your room. One note, if you are a heavier person, the toilet may be tight for you. It is between the wall and sink and if you are tight in airplane seats, you will be tight on their toilet, fyi. Otherwise, hotel was just perfect for our needs and priced well. Very clean, bed was comfy and bath had soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap and hairdryer provided. No fridge, which would have been nice.
It has really nice location 7 minutes from Times Square. The rooms are nice, everything is clean. They have everything you need in the hotel room. When you go to the lobby, it smells nice. The front desk team is friendly and nice.We stayed in a deluxe room with a king-size bed. It was an amazing experience, the bed was super comfortable. If you have never been to NYC before, it probably will be the best option because it is close enough to all touristy places. At the same time, it is far enough from Times Square noises.
This is our first time visiting NYC and we are glad we chose Iroquois for our stay. I had a special request and Charlie was kind enough to service that . The rooms are small but they have everything almost everything that you need for the stay (no microwave ) Extra points for the bathroom decor . Housekeeping is prompt , they offer complementary breakfast voucher at the diner next door on Sunday and Monday. The other days they Offer fruits And yoghurt/muffin . Coffee is available in the lobby. There are also complementary water bottles at the front desk which they are happy to hand out when requested . Its a great location and I would highly recommend staying here .
There are lots of “4-star” hotels. This one gets 5 from me because it’s a great balance of space and people. The staff was incredible. They were very gracious and easy to be with. The king room on the top floor was perfect. Overpriced mini bar but who cares. Basic room but super comfortable where it counts.I’d stay here again for sure.
The location is great. The value for money is fair and good for Manhattan. For this time period and the current Covid situation, it was an ok choice. We informed the concierge when we arrived that we wanted to pay cash during the checkout. The concierge said that is not a problem and he is keeping the card blocked with the deposit amount of 300 USD$ only. On the last day when we proceeded to check out, we learned that ALL the amount of the 4 nights were deducted from the credit card. The reimbursement takes now 14 days to get back to our credit card. It is essential that a hotel is not making mistakes with such a request and this caused us a lot of issues and problems. The pickup breakfast was horrible and has no value for money, in addition when you order granola in the bag there is no spoon to eat it. The coffee is cold. The rooms are tiny and it is not cleaned properly
I booked a park and stay package. When we arrived yesterday, the hotel said they are not offering parking or valet service. The assistant manager ended up cutting our room rate in half (which I will verify at checkout; I’m glad I printed out my confirmation with the total on it, because I don’t think she has the numbers right.) I had to self park in the lot one block over.Today, we were out all day. When we returned at 3:30 p.m., our room hadn’t been made up. I called the front desk and was asked if I had requested housekeeping service. No. Why would I request a service every hotel offers? At check-in, we were not told we would have to request housekeeping. So while we were counting on an afternoon break and a chance to put our feet up, we are sitting in the hotel lobby while our room is being serviced. (It’s a good thing we were listening for housekeeping, because the front desk sent her to the wrong room. We intercepted her.)The WiFi is too slow to load most web pages. I tried to send photos of our trip to my family, and I had to turn WiFi off and use cellular to do that. Our Chrysler View Premium Queen is supposed to be 250 square feet. I can’t believe it’s that big. The bathroom is tiny, and the room itself is about 12 x 12. The bump out where the desk is measures about a foot, and it doesn’t span the width of the room.We last stayed at The Iroquois five years ago, and we enjoyed our stay. It feels more like a cut-rate hotel now, and we won’t stay here again. All that said, the doorman was very helpful and friendly.
Stayed here for 4 days. Very friendly desk staff. Historic hotel with rooms updated but still very small especially for the price ($220). Room was smaller than my two car garage (not exaggerating). Plan to pay $40 - $60 for parking per day. Lots of places to walk to eat but either very overpriced and/or very poor quality food. Plan on walking everywhere or taking cab or bus. Budget accordingly if youre visiting.
Didnt get to sleep until 3 AM because there was incredibly loud music that felt like it was being pumped directly into the room. Was given a new and quieter room which helped, but this was at 3 AM. Was woken up by housekeeping at 8:30 while trying to catch up on lost sleep even though I had the do not disturb sign hanging on the door. Upon checkout I was told they would waive the minibar charges to compensate, and I told them that I didnt use the minibar. Their answer: well, if you had used it, we would have waived it. I told them that doesnt solve anything at all, and the answer was Im very sorry. Not at all the kind of customer service one expects from booking a supposedly high end hotel.
This review is a little overdue, nonetheless I wanted to leave this review for a number of reason. The location is excellent, nestled in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, easy access to 5th Ave, 6tg Ave and Times Square about a 10 min walk. Plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The check in experience was not the greatest. The room was not what we booked and its likely that the person who did the check-in thought we will not uncover that. My initial interaction with the front desk staff was, to say the least like talking to a brick wall. There was no emotion, empathy. Very robotic in his approach, this individual does not belong in the hospitality industry, perhaps a job at Rikers will be better suited for him. However, there are individuals like David who use logic and still understand what Guest Standards are, as he went out of his way to ensure that the room was changed, as the visit was to mark a significant milestone, 55th Wedding Anniversary. I want to thank David once again, but do not want to forget the hospitality and courtesy of Anna, Carlos and Manik. If it werent for these individuals, the stay wouldnt have been as pleasant. The Iroquois is a petite boutique hotel in a historic building from the 1800s, it has its charm and quirks. Thanks to the awesome team once again!
It was my 5th (or 6th...? Ive lost the count already lol) time staying at The Iroquois New York and I doubt if Id ever want to stay at another hotel when I visit NYC in the foreseeable future. This hotel might seem small and a bit outdated on the outside but on the inside, its been fully renovated and has everything you are looking for. Surely there is no such hotel that is perfect, but the staff members here are all amazing and they quickly attend to your needs. Given COVID hasnt been away from us yet, the hotel needs to make a lot of adjustments to their services but sure enough, all the staff members are always happy to accommodate, you just need to speak to them. I want to give a shoutout to David and Tom who are the best hotel staff/managers I have ever met. They make you feel like youre staying not just at home, but with a group of longtime friends.Beyond the hotel itself, its location is hard to beat. Its close to Brant Park and TSQ but it prevents you from getting stuck in the crowds. Tons of amazing food options around so youll never run out of treats. I cant wait to go back again, and hopefully as soon as possible. :)
Nice hotel. Comfortable beds. We had a large room and a separate living room. The location was nice. I felt like it was a chic/ artsy hotel. No real lobby to speak of. We got a really good price during the peak season and they were able to accommodate us when we extended out stay. Friendly staff, too. I think the only thing that brought it down for me was that generally speaking it was a small boutique hotel, but if that is something you like than you will enjoy this place. Also, it’s a lot quieter than most other hotels that we’ve stayed in while in NYC.
The hotel was nice, this is a review on my billing experience. This was a week booked through a travel agent. At checkout, they gave us bills for the amenities fee, which I suppose is common enough these days, but no other charges were discussed. Then they charged us the full price of the room + the amenities fees for each booked room (2 rooms), even though the room charge had been paid by the travel company. After calling in to get these charges reversed, they then charged another room to my card as the week long charge without the amenities fee. In total this is 3 mistakes around $1000 each, which seems a bit careless to me.I didnt notice this third charge until weeks later, which means theyre also not balancing their books to make sure their charges line up with their bookings, so if left up to them theyd never notice their mistake. On the phone they agreed it was a mistake and started the refund process, but neither call netted any sort of apology, explanation or assurance that theyd follow up, just BAU.I dont feel like this was a trustworthy experience.
This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. When I checked in, the building had no running water or air conditioning. I paid for a deluxe king room on a high floor which is the biggest rip off. I learned the only difference between a regular king and deluxe king was the view. Dont waste your time or money on this horrendous hotel. There was absolutely no view from the 11th floor. All you saw was the buildings next to you and a view of 44th street. The room was old, outdated decor, extremely dusty and HOT!!! I gave management ample opportunity to correct the situation but ended up checking out and moving to a different hotel. They originally offered to rebook me at a sister property called The Evelyn Nomad. I checked last minute rates and this hotel which was newer and more modern was cheaper than my original reservation with the Iroquois hotel which was booked in advance. Total rip off, terrible service. If this is considered a 5 star property, I wonder when was the last time anyone who rated this hotel actually stayed at a 5 star property? Looking for luxury?? Avoid this hotel at all costs! Not worth the money at all. My entire first day of my weekend NYC getaway was ruined and all I got was an apology after fighting for a full refund and rebooking myself into a different property last minute.
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last month. We were pleasantly surprised by this boutique hotel just steps away from Times Square and theater district. The hotel staff were professional and friendly. Our room was very clean and inviting. The lobby area is a great space to relax and catch your breath from the hustle and bustle of the city views and shopping. The diner next door was a good place to enjoy a hot breakfast the next day. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we come into the city from LI.
I stayed for New Years (December 31 - January 1) at this hotel. From looking at all of the reviews and the companys website itself, it looked like a true 5 star hotel with exceptional service. My room had a brown stain on the sheets of the bed so they were clearly not clean. The TV was not in working order. The bathroom sink was also not in perfectly good working order. On the hotels website it says the windows are soundproof, however, I could hear the traffic very well all throughout the night. The worst experience I had was with the communication with the hotel. I called the day before I was to check in and was told they have valet parking and self-parking. Self parking was at the Icon or right across the street at Park Fast. I chose Park Fast due to the proximity of the hotel. Upon check-out I was told they do not work/validate Park Fast. I could care less about the few dollars I would have saved. How can you be a 5 star hotel and not know information about your hotel.Would not recommend this hotel. Service is everything and it was clearly not here.
We literally just stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was near the street, but was still quiet. Meticulously clean, nicely decorated, and extremely cozy, this hotel more than met our expectations. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to help.As a tourist, the location is excellent. It’s a direct (short) walk to Grand Central and Times Square. Plenty of shopping, sight-seeing, and eateries within easy walking distance. Definitely recommend.
Great hotel and location. Rooms have recently been renovated and everything is 5 stars. The staff is excellent and you get the feel of individual attention because it’s a smaller hotel. Everything was quick and easy. All of our requests were accommodated and we can’t wait to be back. Thanks so much for making my weekend trip memorable.
Service was prompt and polite, very helpful with any questions. They remember who you are and they never fail to say Hello or Welcome back with a genuine smile. The room we stayed in was small and cute, it felt like being at home, and the shower water pressure was amazing, especially with the waterfall head like that. The bed was that perfect type of firm, I have relatively sensitive back and hips, but unlike most hotels, I didnt wake up in pain once. The first time Ive ever left a review for a hotel, and well never stay anywhere else other than The Iroquois for future trips.
Great small hotel right in the heart of midtown. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The staff were all friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. Unfortunately the restaurant was under renovation this summer so we did not have in-house food or drink, but there is plenty nearby. The location is less than ten minutes walk from the heart of Broadway and Times Square, and nearly adjacent to Bryant Park. We also enjoyed a stroll through Central Park, which is less than 20 minutes away walking along the shopping of fifth Avenue.
The staff, the room accommodations are perfect. THE concierge, Vanessa, was amazing, and went the extra mile to assist us, as well as all the other guests .Everything is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The accessible room is perfect; Large enough to accommodate an electric wheelchair, clutter free, bathroom perfect. Our only concern was the ramp into the hotel, which I was just informed was about to be made permanent and ADA compliant. Overall, we highly recommend the Iroquois Hotel.
This front desk team was outstanding! They helped me easily set up credit card authorization and were incredibly quick to help me fix / extend a reservation for an extra night without having to move the client out of the room! They even initiated changing the rate of my package when they learned we wouldn’t be needing the breakfast portion of our rate! I would definitely recommend choosing this hotel for lodging clients, you can really rely that this team will have your back! Thanks guys!

We were recommended to this hotel by friends, only to be disappointed. The hotel is under renovation. We arrived early and were to receive a call when the room was ready. We never received a call. We were told when we booked the room that the restaurant and bar were open. They are not. The room, while clean, was smaller than any other hotel we have ever stayed atin NYC. One could barely move around in the space. This was a superior Queen room. Although we got a good rate for one night, the high rate that this hotel normally charges (and the room size), should encourage individuals to search elsewhere.
My wife and I stayed at the Iroquois after a Broadway show. The entire experience was fantastic. From booking the room to checking out.(late check out is awesome) Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Room was spotless, updated and classically designed. Looking forward to many more stays at this hotel!!Thank you, John and MaryAnne
The best hotel in NYC! My sisters and I had a king suite with an adjoining king room. Lots of space for 3 people. The staff was incredibly accommodating - even going so far as to replace a mug that housekeeping accidentally broke with an exact replica. We were blown away. Beds were comfy, bathrooms spacious. I can hardly wait to stay again!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Iroquois in New York City. It has the feel of a boutique hotel. JJ, the doorman and bellman is so friendly, accommodating and helpful. He brightened our day. Vanessa, the concierge gave us clear instructions on getting to our destinations and we were given her phone number in the event we got lost. She is great. The people at the front desk were always welcoming and friendly. We were right in the midst of Times Square and our room was so quiet in the evening and extremely comfortable. We had a fantastic stay. We are looking forward to coming back.
This was so much fun! Stayed there 2017/2018 new years and I sometimes forget the great service Americans give. I know its probably mostly for tips, but it adds to the experience! Reception was welcoming, porters fantastic, maintenance helpful, room service amazing!! Its in a great tourist location close to Times Square and good food and shopping and Grand Central Station. Lovely decor, ok sized rooms, I really enjoyed this boutique-y kind of hotel
My stay was canceled by the hotel the day before I was set to arrive. Extremely disappointed to have to scramble for a new hotel while traveling. I would completely understand if this occurred a week or two before I was scheduled to arrive, but under 24 hours is completely unacceptable.
The location was fabulous and within walking distance of Times Square and ***y theaters. The kids enjoyed the different surroundings. The hotel is very close to the public transport. Significantly, the room is really clean. The unique amenities in the room are perfect for someone like me. Well worth the value for your money.
Very good hotel but they gave us a room with a lot of noise from the hotel’s air conditioning machine system. Try to avoid all rooms in or near 101, 201, 301. We asked for a change but they didn’t help us. That’s just such a pity because the rest of the hotel was very nice and this ruined our stay. Very good decoration of the rooms, like the old NYC style.
THe hotel made it an even more special weekend. I found the bed to be quite comfortable. Very well trained personnel, in my opinion. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room size was adequate. Room was cleaned before lunch every day. From the cleaner to ***agement everybody was happy to help.
The main positive of the hotel is its excellent location. Most of the people who work there are very professional. I was really impressed with the room. The cleanliness of the room was well kept. Door*** on way out was especially helpful. I appreciate staffs who did best for us.
I always ask myself the question would I go there again? when thinking about a place and yes Id go back to The Iroquois. Some disappointing aspects:-The room was quite small, it was two double beds with a very small ensuite.-The bar was closed for renovations when we were there(November 2019)-Sometimes our key cards wouldnt work but it wasnt a big deal and Im sure they would have helped if we had asked. Some brilliant aspects:-The location was AMAZING;down the end of one street is Times Square which was only a few minutes of a walk. Bryant park was only a few minutes aways aswell where there was ice skating and Christmas stalls. Fifth avenue was also the same distance.-The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful.-The hotel wasnt busy at all. I only saw a couple other people and didnt hear any noise of other people from our room.-Brilliant hairdryer(not massively important but it was such a nice touch)-Good TV with lots of channels.-Blinds kept out all of the light which was amazing.
Excellent small hotel in a great NYC midtown location. Staff is very friendly and makes every effort to make your stay comfortable. Most the the rooms (if not all) have recently been redone with a more modern approach. Great bar downstairs (I have previously reviewed the bar). Walking distance to tourist attractions only a few blocks away. If driving the is a modern and safe 24/7 indoor parking garage across the street. Absolutely an excellent place to stay in NYC.
Wanted to really like this place but was disappointed...Negatives- Initial room view was looking at a brick wall. Was able to upgrade after pushing the front desk for a change, which required a fee.- Toilet had poop smeared around the flush handle. Disgusting.- Bar was closed for the entirety of our stay (3 night including weekend). We were never Informed it would be closed until asking when we arrived. The first night it was closed off for a private event (which was for the owners of the hotel chain). The second night, we were told the bar was closed for renovations I mentioned how it was open the night before for a private party and they mentioned that was for a soft opening. I understand that renovations may be neccessary, but we were under the impression the bar was fully open after viewing many photos on the website. Transparency would be helpfulPositives- Location
My toddler, wife, her brother & I stayed here for over a week this time last year.As a boutique hotel, we expected a small room but with 3 adults & a toddler, we were seriously living in each others pockets. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. They offered us the Presidential Suite to which we stupidly declined. Still we have unanimously voted that this is the best hotel to stay in throughout NYC.So close to everything. Great staff & the restaurant / bar is top notch!
I stayed at Iroquois Hotel during a weekend trip to New York. We had two rooms, and we were extremely satisfied with the vintage feel of the hotel, the comfort of the rooms and the beds, the location and most importantly, the courteous and helpful staff. During my stay there, I accidentally left my wedding band in the bathroom before checking out. When I reached out to the hotel staff, I was promptly contacted when the ring was found. The ring was carefully packaged and mailed it back to me on the same day. its a very pleasant experience to stay with them and I will stay with them in the future trips to NYC.
I have only positive thing to say about our stay for a weekend get away to NY City. This hotel is right in a heart of the action, so close to Times Square and Broadway district. Our room was quite spacious, meticulously clean and fresh, with comfortable bedding and signature robes. The staff is amazing, both Anthony and Anna are pleasant, polished and polite, service was quick and we were able to check-in two hours earlier than supposed to. The hotel is partially under renovation, but you can hardly notice it and they are partnering with the next door French-American cousin restaurant and our lunch for two was delicious and reasonably priced.
Really an excellent experience. I came to New York with my wife for our anniversary, and I expected a small room and rude staff. The opposite was true! The staff are so helpful I feel like Im back in Texas. The room is totally normal in size. The location is superb. I was walking around looking for a pizza place and I accidentally ended up at Times Square it is so close. Grand Central is about a 5 minute walk as well. Couldnt be happier with this nice boutique hotel that I booked using a Cyber Monday deal.
Spend 5 nights there over new years, fantastic location if you want to explore new york by foot. The rooms are smaller than standard US, but are really nicely done and clean and have a nice posh historic atmosphere. One of the only hotels we have stayed recently where the FREE Wifi worked flawlessly with multiple devices, a lot of other hotels could learn from this. The staff is really nice and helpful as well. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay there again!
Hotel was reasonably priced for New York city. Everything is within easy walking distance. You will definitely get a great night sleep here. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Service was very good. The room we stayed in was clean.
Great hotel in a good area if you are in NYC for the tourist based activities. Close to subways and buses stations. The staff were friendly and always helpful during my 5 night stay. I should note that not all rooms have individual AC as it is only included in premium rooms. I asked about this and was offered to upgrade for a certain rate. This being said, the hotel does have central AC that all the other rooms are serviced by.Due to my longer stay the hotel staff upgraded me to a larger size room which was nice. There is coffee in the mornings for you in the lobby library, and water in the afternoons which was also convenient.
I honestly cannot fault this hotel!Spotless clean, with polite and helpful staff and a quiet, refined atmosphere. It is perfectly placed as it is literally in the heart of everthing, but still feels like a cosy little bolt-hole as soon as youre inside. Its calming, comfortable, convenient and stylish. You can keep to yourself, or wander down to the very good bar (theres actually two, and we liked the restaraunt bar best) and chat with many guests who are on their third, fourth or fifth stay at this well kept secret of a place.Gregorys coffee right across the street and the red flame diner a couple of doors down make it easy to set yourself up for a day in the city, while the complimentary hot drinks in the lobby make it the perfect place to come back to when youve worn yourself out.We had room 908 (family room with two double beds) and it was perfect for our needs. The beds are comfy, the bathroom was amazing and the room itself was well sized and looked fantastic. You dont get a view with this hotel, and in our opinion that small fact wasnt enough to detract from the many wonderfull things that this place has to offer.Well definitely be back.
The location is simply perfect to where we want to be as per our itinerary. We are sure the thoughtfulness of the design will be appreciated by ***y todays travellers like us. The hotel has all the services imaginable. The room did not have very good insulation from outside noises.
Bottom line:Excellent for people who want a cross between high end and affordable. Location was perfect. You could walk to Time Square, Grand Central, and 5th street in 5 minutes, Central Park in 20, and anywhere else via the subway. Dont think, just book it.Review:We arrived in Manhattan to spend a week there leading up to New Years. We originally booked at another hotel on the same street. I wont name names, but it was truly miserable. We called The Iroquois and they gave us solid advice and told us they would hold two rooms for us until we got things figured out. (Oddly enough, we were even going to save money on the room rate).Once we worked our differences out with the other hotel and arrived at the Iroquois, our week changed for the better. These rooms are spacious (especially for New York), and they were clean. The appointments were well thought out and I felt comfortable spending time in the room. They have central air, controlled by the front desk for the building, that worked very well. In the winter you may need to crack a window unless you like it warm, but that worked out just fine. The front desk was very helpful and was always prompt and courteous. When we requested a fan for the window, it arrived rapidly. We also received great advice on how to approach the area from a tourist perspective. We will not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
Small, comfortable, and classy, but not ostentatious. Rooms felt like a bedroom in someones home instead of a cold, cookie - cutter hotel room. Disappointed that restaurant and bar were being renovated during my recent stay, but thats just a temporary thing. Will return.
The room was small, which is somewhat to be expected in midtown Manhattan. The service however was excellent as was the room service food. There was no view, even on the 11th floor but I wasnt in the room much anyhow. Pretty central (and a moderate walk) to many thing in Manhattan. Over all, for the price it was an excellent value.
This is the hotel to stay at when you’re in the city. Located right off of 44th and 6th it’s a quick walk to any major location in the city. The stafff is nothing shy of friendly and kind! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile from the consierge. He asked us what we were celebrating and we said my birthday. He offered us a glass of complimentary wine to celebrate. We went up to our room and WOW was this room amazing! Plenty of space, comfortable bed and gorgeous bathroom (with heated floors). A must stay!
The hotel bar, Lanterns Keep, is a great place to meet up for drinks with visitors staying in the area. The bar is small, but very cozy - there are 8 or so tables with combos of chairs and sofas. The drinks are a bit high even by local standards, but they were all made very well - both the classics and their own special cocktails. I wouldnt venture into midtown on a normal day, but if you want to meet up with a visitor staying nearby then the hotel bar here is a great option.
Its a great place, small, an engaged staff, thoughtful amenities, great location. Its one of my favorites. The cocktail bar is just icing on the cake, the guys that work there are scientists and creative. Limited space snd can be packed on any given night so plan ahead. .
The Iroquois Hotel is a 4-star boutique hotel in Midtown Manhattan, located near Times Square and Grand Central Station with plenty of restaurants and shopping within close walking distance. The hotel offer a great bar and restaurant on-site AND complimentary coffee and beverages in the lobby library where you can relax, read your paper, and unwind from the days activities. The rooms are very small but clean and surprisingly quiet. The hotel staff is wonderful and greet you each time you enter the hotel and exit from the elevator into the lobby. (Nice touch!) See photos...
I love this place. It is really nice and everything we could possibly ask for was there. Free wifi and sauna with fitness center (not sure if these are free) were there as well. The hotel is a bit small but that doesnt make it bad or anything. One thing that I didnt like was furniture but that didnt ruin the overall experience
Hotels get torn apart on Yelp, so any hotel that has a 4+ rating, book it no questions asked. My wife, newborn daughter, and I stayed here for one night in March 2017 and would recommend it to anyone willing to pay NYC hotel prices ($250+ a night). Heres why:1) Location: The Iroquois Hotel is in a small historic building in the Theater District. Its two blocks from a beautiful park, Bryant Park, and 3-4 blocks from Times Square. Even though youre so close to the bright lights and crowds of tourists, you still feel like youre in your own neighborhood.2) Service: If the awards theyve won displayed in the lobby arent enough to convince you, just check in and see for yourself. The people at the front desk are very friendly and youre given a welcome letter, fruit, chocolates, and info on free walking tours around NYC.3) Amenities: For NYC, the rooms are bigger than most (Keep in mind its the city So hotel rooms are not as spacious as the Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids, Michigan). Each room has an iron, safe, mini bar and the beds are sooooooo soft. Wow! The bathrooms are filled with top line toiletries. On the third floor is a 24/7 gym with treadmills, weights and weight machines AND a sauna! In the lobby, theres a restaurant and a 4 star cocktail bar where you can bring your drinks to your room.4) Kid friendly: They welcome kids and even provide a crib, etc at no charge. They even give your kids their own welcome kit.I cannot recommend this hotel more. Next time youre in NYC, book it!
Fantastic hotel in a great location. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in NYC. Central location and the staff were very friendly and professional. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room given there was three of us. I would definitely stay here again.
As soon as we entered our room, we are disappointed with the small size of the room. The rooms were extremely clean and well cared for. The location of the hotel is great. I got a pretty cheap price for booking the room the night before. We would return here without any doubt.
The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable and the staff was incredible. On our first night there my husband became ill. I called the front desk, who called 911 and we were whisked off to the ER. Upon our return, the manager arranged for a cab for us to come back to the hotel and ordered tea and toast for my husband. We were there for four days and each day they called to see if we needed anything. We could not have been treated any kinder or nicer. Thank you so much!Should we return to New York we most certainly will stay again at the Iroquois, and praise them to any of our friends who might make the trip in the future.
I was stayed at the hotel in May this year. The hotel is highly recommend, very high level of service, clean hotel and rooms, quiet rooms, excellent location on central midtown of manhattan. The hotel has only 12 floors, an important fact in NY because of an elevator availability.
A great location to see all the tourist sights and shows in the very heart of Manhattan. The hotel is lovely, clean and the rooms excellent. The service and staff really look after you and nothing is too much trouble. If you are visiting New York, this is the place to stay.
Forget the hotels in Times Square this one out classes them all. Could not have have felt more welcome or comfortable. Amazing staff and quality room made our stay memorable. Being a smaller hotel, you will get service that is unparalleled and a throwback to better times when quality mattered. Located at 44th and 6th its close to all the action of NYC but provides a quiet comfort when you are ready to settle in for the night. Class without being stuffy or snobby. We hope to have return trip and longer stay!
Like its neighbor The Algonquin, The Iroguois is what I think of as a typical Midtown hotel - charmingly old, with tiny rooms, and an old-fashioned kick-ass cocktail bar (in this case, the Lanterns Keep). Downsides: you pay for the location not the accommodations, so its on the pricey side (expect $500 for a standard weeknight room), rooms are small, plumbing is old so drains dont work so well. Upsides: great location (close to Bryant Park and Times Square), stellar front desk staff, amazing cocktail bar, Molton Brown toiletries and Frette linens.
Although the rooms are on the small side, the hotel is well-kept and wonderfully located in the heart of mid-town. I felt safe and comfortable at all times. Will not look elsewhere in NYC when travelling there in the future. Good job of making an advocate out of me, Iroquois!
New York sized room (cant expect 1400 sq ft in Manhattan), great hospitality (red wine for my wife and I at check-in, chocolates, newspaper daily), comfortable bed, solid amenities, close to so much of Midtown Manhattan but without the expected noise.Highly recommend staying here.
Management is totally unresponsive to the needs of guest.Food and beverage manager is discourteous and argumentative. The general manager could care less. I called him several times, he did not return my call. This is both poor management and a lack of even the most basic social skills.
I only was popping in there to meet a friend, get warm, charge my phone, go to the bathroom, etc. I ended up not wanting to meet my friend there cause no one was at either bar really, there was only 1 charger in the cute little NY Library extention that another man was using who was actually nice to talk to, and the bathroom was very clean and the staff members that I encountered.

2021-12-24We stayed here for 3 nights/4 days. The hotel was extremely accommodating and held our luggage, as we arrived early and checkout was 2 hours before we needed to leave. The staff (all of them) were marvelous and really made us feel special. We especially greatly appreciated the complimentary upgrade to our room, as it was our son’s first visit to NY. He was blown away by the size of the room (presidential suite). The steam shower was amazing and the bed and pillows were comfortable! The room was very clean and room service was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again without a doubt. The only thing we wished we had was a microwave. Our only disappointment was the grab and go breakfast, but I really am not going to complain about that given the current situation with covid, as many hotels aren’t offering any food/room service at this time.

2022-05-19Amazing location, great staff, and overall really good. Tiny rooms but that should be expected. Only thing that was very very disappointing was the breakfast. They were supposed to be egg and cheese sandwiches, but in reality they were onion sandwiches with a little bit of egg and a little bit of cheese. However, the hotel is super close to the Red Flame Diner which was absolutely exceptional, and thats where we ended up getting breakfast.

2022-01-22STAY HERE!! We love The Iroquois when in town to see some Broadway shows and visit friends. Far enough away from crowds, but close enough to get to the theaters quickly. 44th street also has some great places to eat and the hotel has a quaint little bar to enjoy some great cocktails. Favorite part of the room is the heated floors in the bathroom! Have fun!

2021-12-24Elegant, cozy, quiet, and in a great location. The bed was so comfy, service was friendly and professional, always someone there to open the door and greet you but without the fuss and bustle of a bigger hotel. The tiled bathroom was beautiful and had its own temp control. We loved our stay and will definitely come back!

2021-12-28Excellent stay In suite room. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice mini bar, small but clean bath all at decent price of about $500 per night. We had a very peaceful night sleep as it was very quiet in the hotel even for a weekend. The bar at the rear of the lobby is a really nice and unique space. They offer handmade crafted cocktails and light fare with a side of witty banter from the bartenders. My only issue was that are sinks stopper in our bathroom was stuck in the down position and I informed the front desk who said it would be fixed right away. It wasnt until the following morning at around 9 a.m. rigjt before we left that maintenance showed up.

2022-06-21Not recommended Di]ue to following reasons (experienced during my stay)- Unfriendly and not helpful staff (including reception- They have no kitchen functional and still take money for bfast (then provide just one burger per person at bfast- Seems quite unsafe too (as there was no security at the gate)

2021-12-20The BEST hotel to stay in if you’re visiting NYC! It is minutes from Time Square with everything else that you would want to visit if you’re coming to New York. The staff is EXTREMELY nice and welcoming especially Charlie. The rooms are very clean and elegant. A huge bonus is how comfortable the bed is. They offer a coffee bar in the morning for a few hours and there is a valet. There is a parking garage located at 50 West 44th Street called “Edison Park Fast”. The walking exit of this garage opens up right across the street from the hotel. I would recommend making the reservation for your cars parking ahead of time on their website that way the valet in the garage can just take your vehicle and you can go into the hotel. Saves a lot of time! The staff in this parking garage is nice as well.
