Excellent training, offered every day of the week. Coach Jordan is very helpful, and accommodating to all skill levels. Both gi and nogi are offered. Wrestling Thursdays, conducted by UFC veteran Mike King, has become a personal favorite mine. Furthermore, the environment at the mill is very welcoming. It doesnt take long to become close with your training partners. This makes getting onto the mats more fun, and progression easier. Training at the mill is a great choice to learn and progress in every facet of jiu jitsu.
This place is the real deal. My children love coming to learn, practice, and exercise. And as a team, they love joining their friends from the gym in applying their skills to competitions. During COVID, the gym has been even more so, ultra clean. The coaches have developed a methodology to keep the children separated and healthy. The Jiu Jitsu Mill is much more than a place just to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Coach Jordan is a true community leader bringing children and families alike, together. Coach Jordan and his staff truly care about their students well-being and extend their support way beyond the gym. During the crazy world we live in today, I have to hold my children accountable for cleanliness, homework, chores, and so forth. It is a breath of fresh air to have someone I trust to hold my children accountable for their exercise.
The Jiu Jitsu Mill is an awesome place to train and heighten your jiu jitsu game. The team is extremely welcoming and the classes are instructive with a very positive, competitive vibe. Coach Jordan is great at communicating the day-to-day of the gym as we all work through the pandemic, which makes training feel safe and inclusive.
I had harbored an interest in the “gentle art” for about a decade and it took me just as long to work up the courage to seek out a place to actually start learning it for myself. I am lucky I found the Mill on first try. I had sent emails to about 4-5 nearby academies, introducing myself as an absolute and utter beginner in his early 30s looking to learn BJJ both for my appreciation of its technical complexity and as a means of exercise to help me lose some weight. I mentioned how I was very apprehensive and somewhat intimidated at the thought of walking into a gym as a total, unconditioned novice on that 1st day. Of all the email replies, Jordan’s was the most comprehensive; he answered all my questions, assuaged my anxiety, and helped me get my foot in the door at the Mill. And I’m so pleased he did.So far it has been an awesome experience. The gym is in such a great location, is carefully maintained, and the class schedule is well thought through. But ultimately I think the strength of the place is the people. Jordan is a phenomenal coach and instructor. He has an incredibly sharp eye for detail which he applies to all his students. He is serious, knowledgeable, and emphasizes precision in technique. But he is also supportive and encouraging. When by bad luck and ill timing I was having some family issues interfere with my very first week, Coach kept in touch with me personally via text to make sure I saw my commitment through. All in all, he threads the needle: for me the sessions have been very physically demanding and rigorous; but they are also a blast. I have nothing but positives about assistant coach Nick as well. He is always there to answer questions or point out small details in a drill or technique. Could not be more impressed by him as a young person and a young teacher.Because of the culture instilled at the top, the Mill is a community that reflects the above values. Students come from across the spectrum of ages and life experience. There are very advanced students and there are others more like me. In this respect, I love that the Mill offers a 2x per week Fundamentals Class which is tailor-made for those just starting out and looking to get a solid foundation on which to build. But regardless of the particular class session, everyone to a man has been super friendly, supportive, encouraging, and positive; it’s a really tight-knit community. So I am so glad I found the Mill and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to learn BJJ. It has been such a great experience that I convinced my younger brother to join after about a month. Now we are both hooked! Thank you for everything Coach Jordan! Will
If you are looking for a place to learn and train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Fairfield/Westchester area, look no further than The Jiu Jitsu Mill.Facilities are clean, plenty of classes to conform to whatever chaotic schedule you may have, and all-around great people to train with. Coach Jordan is great teacher who spends a lot of time making sure his students are learning, growing, and training SAFELY.Whether you are an experienced practitioner or dont even know what jiu-jitsu is, the Jiu Jitsu Mill serves all. 10/10
My imagination of the gym was completely different from my overall experience, and I mean that in a good way. Starting off, I really didn’t know what to expect. In my head I thought only of the worst. Whether that be terrible management/coach, sanitation, or lack of care with someones health. However, I was completely wrong. The environment this gym offers you is very refreshing and comforting. Not only do you have a coach that cares for you and wants what best for you inside and off the mats, the people you train with are also a delight to get to know. Overall this places accepts you with open hand right off the bat, and treats you as if one of there own. I would recommend people to check this place out and give it a try because for me it’s been a pleasure so far to train at this place!
My older brother had been pestering me for about a month after he had walked into the Mill for his very first BJJ class. I had to suffer through his fumbling, over-enthusiastic demonstrations of whatever new technique he had learned that week. Including an exhibition of his newly learned “standing guillotine” with a 10 minute step by step breakdown. He could not stop talking about his new pursuit, the friendly people he had found there, the knowledgeable coach, and the overall good vibes and positive atmosphere of the gym. Because of his doggedness, I finally and begrudgingly agreed to tag along for a Monday night “fundamentals” session.Fast forward a couple months and I couldn’t be happier about going to class that evening. I’ve caught the BJJ bug. And have the Mill to thank. The place is awesome and I would recommend to anyone looking to learn the art. Jordan is a committed and serious teacher. He is thorough in his instruction, and is able to impart the details of whatever particular technique we are working on in a really clear way. Assistant coach Nick is a lanky killer and has been super helpful with technique and training tips. All the people I have met and trained with on the mats have been incredibly friendly. And I’ve found the atmosphere of the gym to be overwhelmingly positive- people push each other but are supportive. Everyone is there to learn but also have fun. I came as a BJJ beginner but a former collegiate athlete. But the sessions are geared so you get out of them whatever you put in. At the end of the night I am drenched and exhausted, but I’ve had a lot of friggin fun. The Mill is a special place and I’m thrilled to have stumbled upon it! Thk u Coach Jordan! Kit
Coach Jordan is a great coach and dedicated to his students. He surrounds himself with other great coaches who work side by side with coach Jordan. My son Drew has been in the program for 1 month and loves it.He is developing confidence and discipline which is a huge part of life’s lessons.I highly recommend the Jiu Jitsu Mill without reservation.Michael Cotter
100% recommend. I was new to Jiu Jitsu and the Jiu Jitsu Mill and did not know what to expect. On day 1 I immediately picked up on the comradery and friendliness of the training environment. Coach Jordan offers expert and detailed instruction, while staying committed to every individuals improvement regardless of their skill level. He runs the Jiu Jitsu Mill like a true professional - ensuring the quality, cleanliness, and safety of his facility. Great taste in music too!Jiu Jitsu is such an interesting martial art and a great way to burn fat and build muscle quick. Head to The Mill!
My daughter started in the Lil Ninja program back in September 2020 and is thoroughly enjoying it. Coach Jordan and his team go above and beyond. They are attentive, motivated and care deeply about the drive and improvement of their students. I have also noticed that my daughter has more self confidence, respect for others and not to mention strength!
The Jiu Jitsu Mill is amazing! My wife and I enrolled our 5 year old for self defense during covid and he’s had grown leaps and bounds not just physically but personality wise. My son has learned structure, discipline and how to face adversity from Coach Jordan and Coach Nick. He looks forward to every class and comes home very excited. Highly recommend!
Coach Jordan and his team at The Jiu Jitsu Mill are exceptional. You can expect to learn Jiu Jitsu in a safe and fun teaching environment - and you can expect to train with a great group of students who will become your friends as well as your training partners. As a beginner, youll experience a patient and encouraging atmosphere from the coaches, and as a more advanced student you can expect the coaches to challenge and push you to advance as a Jiu Jitsu player as well as an athlete and a person.
Nothing but positive things to say. Excellent place to train and coach Jordan is an exceptional teacher. I had trained for a number of years (5+) prior to joining the Jiu Jitsu Mill and feel my game has improved vastly under Jordans tutelage. The facilities are modern, professional and clean and the environment is very welcoming. There is a great crew that trains there which always guarantees fun and exciting rolls. I am also impressed by the quick learning curve of new joiners, which speaks highly of Jordans instructional acumen and training program.
I could not have hoped for a better place for me and my family to begin our jiu jitsu journey. Coach Jordan and the entire coaching team are absolutely incredible. The professionalism and dedication to teaching is top notch and the competitive achievements of the team leave no doubt as to the quality of instruction. Most importantly, they do a wonderful job at fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that makes you want to come back and keep training as much as possible. My two young boys absolutely love training and look forward to every single class. Its been a life-changing experience for my entire family and we couldnt be more grateful to have found The Mill and for having the opportunity to train with such an extraordinary team & community.
We absolutely love The Jiu Jitsu Mill! Our son loves going to class every week. We felt welcomed from day one. They have the best coaches who really care about their students. The atmosphere and vibe is great. We definitely recommend that you check it out. We have seen so much growth in our son since he started both in and out of the mat.
My two kids have been going to The Jiu Jitsu Mill for about a year now. Besides being more physically active they have become more self-disciplined and confident in themselves. The coaches take interest in every kid. The facility is cozy, clean and welcoming. It is a commitment as you have to consistently attend to see progress - but this in itself is a good life lesson to kids. I highly recommend The Jiu Jitsu Mill!
I was visiting my hometown for the month, and wanted to continue my martial arts training. I’m so glad I found the Jiu Jitsu Mill. I felt welcomed and I learned so much. Great instructors and students, it was a pleasure to train there and I will be in touch the next time I’m in town!
I have been going to The Mill for over 3 years now, and never have I felt such a welcoming atmosphere at any other facility as I have in my time training here. I have made friendships here that extend outside of the jiu jitsu world, as well as a boost in my overall confidence level (only a few of the many pluses). Coach Jordan is a fantastic leader and teacher. The gym is kept very clean, which has definitely made myself and others more comfortable - especially during these unprecedented times. Whether you are looking to learn jiu jitsu, find a new hobby, or simply just want to get in shape, this is the place to go.
The jiujitsu mill is great. Coaches & training partners were overwhelmingly welcoming to me when I joined. Awesome curriculum, great teaching, and an extremely fun and encouraging environment to learn in. Been training for almost 3 months and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
Training at the jiu jitsu mill has been one of the most positive experiences of my life. The place is great. The students are a wonderful group of very serious , very positive people who are great to train with and lots of fun to learn from. Coach Jordan is a superb teacher. He is also very conscientious about covid precautions. In short an amazing school, great students, a great environment to train and learn and a first class teacher.I am hooked for life.
This place is great! After a 10 years hiatus, I could not have asked for a better Coach in Jordan or a better team/family environment. They are hands on and Jordan is constantly training with his students, which you don’t get at every gym. I also have my 4 year old son taking classes and he comes home smiling after each one. Aside from teaching him about hard work, respect and discipline, I love that this is something we can share.
My teenage son began training at the Jiu Jitsu Mill a few months ago. Coach Jordan and his team are top notch. Professional, skilled, attentive, concerned, fun....couldnt ask for more. Very pleased with my sons progress and both the physical conditioning and internal confidence he is developing under Coach Jordans watchful eye. My son looks forward to every class! Thanks Coach Jordan!
I have been training at the jiu jitsu mill for a little over a year and a half now and I can say that joining has been one of the best things I have ever done. Coach Jordan and coach Nick are both amazing and help their students to succeed how ever they can. The people at the mill are like one giant family. I look forward to going and talking to everyone and catching up with people I havent seen in a while. It is a low stress environment where everyone can be themselves and train hard. Thank you to coach Jordan and coach Nick for helping me through my jiu jitsu journey and giving me a love for jiu jitsu!
Ive trained here for 3 years now. If Im in the Port Chester/Westchester/Greenwich area, this is the place to train. The techniques are a very good mix between standup and ground techniques which will help you develop a balanced grappling game. The facilities are excellent. The bathrooms are the cleanest and most spacious I have ever seen at a BJJ facility.
The Jiu Jitsu Mill is amazing! My son has loved it there from day one. I have been extremely impressed with the variety of classes offered to the kids. All of the coaches are great and you can see how invested they are in the kids during each class. I would highly recommend Jiu Jitsu Mill to anyone!
Its hard to find a place with schedules that accommodate people who commute to and from the city, but Jiu-Jitsu Mill provided the right amount of options. I took advantage of the early morning combat striking classes which got me back to my old self. Jiu-Jitsu Mill has great training with all its instructors (shout out to AB!) and excellent service. Highly recommend if youre getting back into training or looking for some new motivation to workout again.
A while ago I started training at the Jui Jitsu Mill and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. Brand new to the sport, I was a bit hesitant but Coach Jordan wastes no time making you feel like part of the family. There is no doubt about it, Jui Jitsu is a tough sport mentally and physically but it’s also extremely enjoyable and addicting. Coach and his staff will push you every time you step on the mats but you will always leave knowing you’ve learned and improved. All of the teammates at the Mill are welcoming, encouraging, and are always happy to humbly give you pointers and help your game. Jui Jitsu is an effective self-defense and a good way to learn a lot about yourself. Training not only gives you a leg up in situation requiring you to defend yourself but it will also sharpen your mind and build up your mental toughness. I encourage everyone from all athletic backgrounds to put your trust in Coach Jordan and get on the mats AT THE MILL!
Cant say enough about how I enjoyed my experience with The Jiu Jitsu Mill. Felt welcome from the moment I entered the door, received top notch instruction from coach jordan, has a great way of breaking down the techniques into simple concepts with a focus on the importance of each movement. The facilities are fully equipped and spotlessly clean every day. Thanks to everyone at the Jiu Jitsu mill !!!
Ive only been to a handful of classes this far, but Coach Jordan has set up a friendly, welcoming environment for beginners, and brings true professionalism to the mat. The classes are fast paced, fun and detail oriented. The people I go to class with are friendly and willing to give advice and help, which is definitely beneficial when you first start.
Coach Jordan and the entire coaching staff are second to none. Training at The Mill will leave you with unmatched feelings of strength, positivity and respect. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned veteran looking for a new gym to hone your skills; look no further, this is the place.
The Jiu Jitsu Mill is an excellent facility whether you are beginning your Jiu Jitsu practice for the first time or a seasoned trainee. Professor Jordan spends time with each client individually and made me feel very comfortable as a first timer. I would recommend this gym to anyone seeking training, you will not be disappointed.
With all the BJJ gyms closed down indefinitely in NYC because of COVID, I had to find a new place to train outside of the city. Im so glad I found the Mill. The coaches are not only absolute experts, they are also very friendly, patient and helpful. The gym is spacious and clean. The other students are welcoming and game.
The Jiu-Jitsu Mill promotes a wonderfully diverse and inclusive environment. When I’m on the mats I feel encouraged by Coach Jordan and other Jiu-Jitsu players to continue practicing and learning from every challenge. As a mother, who practices Jiu-Jitsu with her son, I praise The Jiu-Jitsu Mill for creating a safe space for children and adults alike to train in this sport. Overall, I feel supported and empowered as a member of the Jiu-Jitsu Mill community.
Great school. Amazing teachers. Very clean gym. Coach Jordan and his team are outstanding in teaching and motivating us.Everyone here makes you feel so welcome and it feels like a big family.Training with them is fun and addicting and Im so happy that I found that school.I would blindly recommend the Jiu Jiutsu Mill to anyone who wants to learn and improve Jiu Jiutsu or Muay Thai .
My 9 year old son has been attending classes at the Jiu Jitsu Mill for about three months now and we could not be happier with the coaches and the curriculum. Every one of the coaches is attentive, positive, and clear when articulating expectations to the kids. What I find most impressive about the coaches is that I get the sense that they are interested in teaching the kids about so much more than just jiu jitsu itself. The positive impact that the coaches and curriculum at the Jiu Jitsu Mill have had on my son is truly remarkable to see in such a short amount of time.
6 month White belt - was visiting the northeast for the day and couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome.Despite knowing I wasn’t going to join, Coach took the time to correct my technique with some key details. Rolled with almost all the lads and they were all a pleasure (no egos there).Don’t hesitate to drop by; you won’t regret it.
The JiuJitsuMill has been an integral part of my 7-year-old sons growth for the past 3 years. It has taught him to be disciplined, focused, and respectful while greatly developing his strength, agility, and confidence. This year, despite the COVID shutdown, a tremendous effort was put forth by Owner and Coach, Jordan Lutsky. Zoom classes, with his incredible coaches (including Coach Nick!), were provided for live jiujitsu drilling and fitness conditioning. Google Classroom was used to archive all coaching videos for on-demand access. His system gave us the structure needed to mentally and physically survive this challenging year. For that, we are eternally grateful and look forward to future experiences.
What I like is that once u step foot into the mill the coaches greet you and show interest in coaching. The people that train at the jiu jitsu mill help each other and dont have any judgment. Its a safe place where you learn jiu jitsu and a place with coaches that help you step-by-step and support you. The Jiu Jitsu Mill is also a great place to take out your stress and meet new people.
I tried a bunch of Jiu Jitsu places in the area and I ended up choosing the Mill. Fantastic atmosphere, with an awesome coach and a great group of people training, that will make you want to go out as often as possible and learn as much as possible. Lots of varied class times with a dedicated fundamentals class for beginners, plus a nice big mat space are also draws.
The Jiu Jitsu Mill is a top notch training facility offering high class Muah Thai and Jiu Jitsu training. All the coaches are motivating and encouraging while pushing you to be your absolute best. There is a real sense of a team atmosphere despite the various skill levels of the individuals training. I would highly recommend training at the Jiu Jitsu Mill to anyone who is interested in learning Muah Thai or Jiu Jitsu and willing to push themselves mentally and physically!
Ive been having a blast training at the academy! Jordans approach to instruction is diverse and effective. Getting back into shape in the most fun and interesting way while learning a new skill, rips going to a gym and lifting weights! The mill is a great welcoming environment that has great facilities and it just makes you wanna stay all day and just keep improving your skills! There are so many great deals you gotta check it out!!!!!
My name says it all. I keep it real. This is hands down the best and most complete school I have ever trained in. Top notch instructors in ground and stand up fighting. Coach Jordan (Owner) and coach Carlos with all the other instructors honestly stand for what coaches should be. From very basic beginners training, to Pro fighters training and coaching and no attitude. There are levels for everyone. I’m speaking from an adult perspective but all the parents and kids seem to love this place as well. No point going anywhere else but here.
I have trained with Jordan for almost 8 years and he is top notch. Not only is he one of the best black belts I have ever trained with, he is an excellent instructor and student of the martial art. If you are looking for world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction, this will be the place to get it. I am super excited to train at his new academy.
Nearly a year ago (Aug 2019), I was shopping around for a MMA facility and happened upon the Jiu Jitsu Mill. WOW...what a great Muay Thai Class w/ Coach Carlos! The owner, Coach Jordan, teaches his children/students full of heart and fatherly love [Jui Jitsu]. As an Elementary School Teacher, I immediately respected his energy and time he invests. ALL PARENTS WILL AGREE! I look 4ward to returning to his facility within the near future and hope Coach Jordan and his Team welcomes me back 🙏🏾. Now, after having been in other workout facilities, it became clear, The Jiu Jitsu Mill ranks FIVE STARS way away the rest. Give this franchise a try- COACH JORDAN ROCKS!!
Ive been practicing martial arts for more than 30 years, and one year ago, when I moved to the East Coast, decided to try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but was afraid I wouldnt find a place where I felt as comfortable and at home as my old dojo. I was lucky to find The Jiu Jitsu Mill, with its hard to find technical depth and drive but at the same time so friendly and welcoming. Then the pandemic hit... but the school reacted fast, first with its online offerings then with safety protocols in different levels that allowed us to slowly go back to training according to our own perspectives on the risks behind the COVID crisis. Surprisingly, the post-covid Mill is even better, and in the last 4 months, I must say I learned and developed more than the 8 months before that. The combination of the team spirit the challenges created a tighter community feel, And the new ways of training, mixing the best of online and in person, small classes with limited training cells according to your weight+age+skill made learning more effective and more fun. As proof: before covid, I was training twice a week. Now, counting online etc, I train at least 5 times, wishing my 47 years old body could handle two more! Oss.
As a beginner, I didn’t quite know what to expect. I had done some research, looked into other gyms, but ultimately decided on The Jiu Jitsu Mill based on reputation. My expectations were immediately blown away. Teammates are great, and Coach Jordan’s instruction is second to none.
As a parent, I love this place & the lessons it continues to teach my boys. ie. care for themselves and others, time mgmt, appearance. We joined for two separate reasons, one to teach patience and focus and for the other to help with weight management and self-defense and both for stress relief and movement, an added bonus is the critical thinking this sport involves. I enjoy watching my boys in the zone, they perform well because of the way the staff explains the lessons and during practice corrects the moves so they are doing the exercise properly. The staff has been on point with keeping all the kids on task and accountable. Coach Hector & Coach Ashley are excellent with younger kids. My son admires them as do I for the way they are able to quickly dial him back in with any off-task behavior, how they speak to the children, get down on their level and speak with them in a way that they can relate and understand where there may be a disconnect, they praise their accomplishments and make the kids feel good about themselves and raise self-esteem. Coach Nick Rocks with his no-nonsense, no excuse approach! Another bonus you can tell the gym is also kept clean!
Ive trained at the Mill for about a month. Im a BJJ purple belt. Ive trained at numerous gyms in the US and around the world. Ill only comment on the BJJ program, which is the most fun out of all sports anyway ;) (muay thai is also fun but I cannot comment since I havent trained recently)This is a friendly, high quality gym fit for all belt levels, and excellent for newcomers, with a world class kids program (I explain below how I assess that last part since I am part of the adults classes - its impressive enough it warrants mentioning). In my opinion, whether youre looking to learn a new sport, get in shape, or take things to the next level, the Mill got you covered.* WORLD CLASS HEAD COACH *What you need to know: Ill let the results speak for themselves. Starting with head coach and BJJ Black Belt Jordan Lutsky, who is a close member of the highly successful BJJ Soul Fighters team, recently took gold at the IBJJF Pan American Jiu Jitsu Championship. Simply put: what coach says is what coach does and is what beats top black belts on the international scene.* GREAT GYM, AMBIANCE & INSTRUCTIONS *Now, as for what goes on at the academy itself. The best part to me is how unpretentious this school is. Things are casual and I personally love the ambiance and camaraderie at the academy. Jordans coaching is also very precise, accurate and pointed on key details that make techniques, transitions and other complex aspects of the sport unambiguous. If youve ever had an expert in their craft (any craft, BJJ or otherwise) explain you something and skip all the important details because they are so familiar and basic to them, therefore leaving you in the dark on 50% of that explanation... Then, you know why this matters. Also worth mentioning: the gym is *clean* and professionally taken care of. The mats are pristine. The showers are spacious and clean. Everyone needs to wear a rash guard under their gi/kimono, and in no-gi wear spats (not used to it at first, but the cleanliness that ensues is definitely enjoyable). Probably one of the cleanest jiu jitsu gyms Ive been at.* WORLD CLASS RESULTS FOR THE STUDENTS *And once again, student results speak for themselves. The vast majority of adult students who went on to compete over the past month or so medald at IBJJF point tournaments and various submission-only competitions (mostly gold/silver from what I gather, and it seemed to be a large portion of the students). Impressively, the kids program sent some 12+ kids at a large tournament in the NY area with bi-coastal and international representation (I saw 500+ BJJ academies ranked from all around the globe on their site) and took over 10+ gold, with kids who did not get gold still get silver and bronze essentially cleaning up all brackets (I may have the number +/- 1 or 2 off but that ratio is about right), which placed Jordans school at top 2% in the nation (and internationally) as per the organizations ranking on their website. That is quite impressive for a school with less than 5 years in existence! Im not sure how things get any better from there but Ill let Jordan and the Mill surprise me.There are lots of BJJ schools in the NY/CT area. This one is pretty unique. When given the choice, Ill personally prefer to go to a coach with proven results for his students, and who still competes on the international scene, let alone beat all competitors.
Needed some mat time while traveling through the US before a competition. Coach Jordan set up a next day private for me and had two ladies come in to help. Loved the training, learned some new stuff and had the opportunity to train with new people. Another plus for me was the size of the space and showers were available. Also there wasn’t any crazy loud music playing to distract from instruction. After training in several countries and states picking a gym is like picking a friend or significant other. The atmosphere, coach and friendliness of the students makes this a place I would choose if I lived in the area.
Ive been going to the jiu jitsu mill for about two months now for kickboxing and I couldnt be happier! The coaches are very dedicated to their work, and work with everyone according to the level their in which is very beneficial for beginners like myself. Its a comfortable and friendly environment and Im already seeing results!
I started my jiu jitsu journey summer of 2017. Before that I trained Judo out in WCC, where I met a fellow Jiujitsu friend. I love having the opportunity to train with martial artists, learning technical leverage. The coaches and ppl in this academy are like family, fill with positive energy, they treat u with respect and teach u life skill, essential to have when you’re out in the real world. I appreciate what The Jiujitsu Mill has taught me, inside and outside the academy. OSS! Many more years to come!
We were referred by a respected and trusted family friend to ECUBJJ, so the bar was set very high. Jordan surpassed our expectations from day one. He is an enthusiastic coach and is exceptional with my two sons ages 5 & 8. As a result, my sons truly love the sport of jiu jitsu. Jordan is passionate about his direction, it is a pleasure to watch the progression in my sons abilities due to the magnitude of his coaching.
The JiuJitsu Mill is a professional martial arts academy offering the highest level of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for both beginners and experienced adults. Their Kids BJJ is top-notch and is great for self-defense and kids sport grappling. Head-instructor Jordan Samuel Lusty is very passionate and dedicated to helping all his students improve and progress in Jiu-Jitsu. If youre looking for a great place to train and learn in the Port Chester, NY area, then definitely check out the JiuJitsu Mill
Really clean facilities. Love the bathroom showers really spacious and confortable. The coaches are amazing. I have been a member since June and I love training here they motivate me to continue and complete my weight losses goals. I have seen results from day one. Highly recommend this gym.
My son has been taking classes here for the past 7 months. He loves it, and we’ve seen a noticeable improvement in his emotional development. His level of confidence has increased while improving his strength. Very very happy with our experience so far. Highly recommend
Update: Four months in and 35lbs down so far (233-198) and no signs of slowing down. JJ is an amazing workout and builds some useful skills. Environment is everything! The people at the JJ Mill are the reason I keep going 4-5 days a week! A steady JJ regime along with eating right, you wont find a better weight loss/refining workout anywhere.Top notch gym. Jordan does an amazing job teaching and all the regulars are extremely helpful. Everyone is there to make each other better and have a great workout. The gym is very clean too. No complaints and highly recommended.
Thanks for the tips coach. I really must say that I before I came to your school, I was unsure of my ability to return to the sport of Jiu Jitsu. But after the last few weeks of instruction my confidence is growning more and more with each class. In part to your great instruction and welcoming attitude. Im truly Honored to have you as an instructor!!!Sincerely,Mark Reid
I gotta say I really love it there, all the guys there are freindly were like a family awsome attitudes and the training is great! Jordans trying to get this old man( that would be me) Combat Fit!and hes doing a good job doing it! At 49 I feel good and working out and Jiu-Jitsu have alot to do with! Very good school I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks coach!HecSkiDog
I cant say enough good things about him jitsu mill. The level of talent there if you are an advance player is insane but if you are a beginner and live in port Chester or Westchester this is the place to go start your journey the coach is great at explaining the moves and showing them from numerous angles. They also have an awesome muay Thai instructor that will work with you on to develop a striking game. Unfortunately I cant train there no more since I moved to Washington but i would recommend this gym to anybody thats serious about competing and someone that just curious about learning the Gentle art. Oss!
After training at a number of gyms over the last decade, I finally found a place that not only has high level, technical instruction - but also creates an inviting, approroachable community. Jordan built something special in the Mill. And Carlos is among the best Muay Thai instructors around.
I cannot recommend ECUBJJ Port Chester highly enough. The classes are intense but super collegial and Jordans clear instruction and supportive attitude are the best around. Each class presents an unbelievably challenging work out (forget Crossfit) as well as an incredible opportunity to learn and develop your sport. Im hooked.
Ive been going to The Jiu Jitsu Mill for a few months now and I really enjoy it. As someone whos been into fitness for years I was looking for an alternative fun way to stay in shape. This place carries a nice vibe and since day one has been very welcoming. I definitely recommend this place!
This dude Jordan and his crew are legit practitioners. They are about learning the art and sharing their knowledge. He instructs in an extremely efficient, and understandable manner. Jordan is a phenomenal bjj martial artist and I am looking forward to learning more from him. - BG
Ive visited different gyms before ended up there and this place is really a good one. I practice kickboxing over there and its for me the best sport Ive ever done with really good coaches! When I wake up and know I have time for a class during the day, I know my day is going to be perfect!
Absolutely amazing! So happy to be a part of this dojo - honestly one of the best things Ive ever signed up for. Coach Jordan really changes you as a person. Aside from the phenomenal classes the dojo is an awesome location. 20ft high ceilings with everything you could imagine and is always in immaculate condition! Parking is always a breeze. Highly recommenced this place to everyone.
Ive had the pleasure of knowing and training with Jordan Lutsky for over 8 years. His knowledge of the art is only surpassed by his passion for it. If you’re taking a class that Jordan is teaching, you’re going to enjoy yourself, but you are going to WORK! Prof. Lutsky is very fun loving and easy to get along, but he has a work ethic that is second to none. Jordan has helped grow my physical skills and knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so much over the years and I can’t wait to train at his new academy. - Anthony Vataj
If you are looking to be around great people and learn how to defend yourself than look no further. This gym is great and the whole staff is full of amazing people who make sure you learn as much as possible. The head instructor jordan is amazing and a world class competitor. I take 2 trains from bridgeport ct to get there and its so worth it. Plus the mui thai class is killer. Defenetly worth trying
My experience with this BJJ Academy has been nothing less than fantastic! The man in charge Jordan Lutsky is a stand up trustworthy guy that happens to be really good at teaching jiu jitsu. Hell take care of you. Highly recommended. Check it out! - Alan Belcher, UFC Fighter, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt
The coaches are all very knowledgeable and even before the 2020 madness they were very clean and made it their top priority to clean even MORE on top of that. They are professional and the community is very friendly and wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for anything else.

2022-05-22Although Ive only been enrolled for a month or so, training at the Mill has been one of the most fun and welcoming experience Ive had in awhile. The team is incredibly welcoming and willing to help lower level students, such as myself, and the coaches are amazing, being extremely dedicated to helping their students grow. Ive always enjoyed martial arts, but being a boarding student, working around my schedule was difficult, but lucky the Mill has a very flexible schedule so I could get at least 2 days of training per week. I could not ask for a better gym that the Mill!

2022-03-24My 5 year old son starting training at the Mill this winter and it’s been a wonderful experience to watch him learn and grow. He is always excited to put on his gi and “focus his body, eyes, and mind” in class. I can already see his confidence growing and he loves the challenge of learning the moves and techniques. I am very glad we signed him up and look forward to more development. The coaches are wonderful. Firm, direct yet compassionate and motivating. One of the best features for us parents is they also have mat cams so you can watch remotely if you can’t be there.Highly recommend The Jiu Jitsu Mill.

2022-04-14We love how much of an emphasis they put into the discipline of Jiu Jitsu. They really hold the kids accountable and show how important it is. Our own child has already shown so many positive attitude and habit changes due to their ability to apply the focus they practice in Jiu Jitsu to other areas at home and school. We cannot recommend The Jiu Jitsu Mill more!

2022-03-25I’ve been training for over 15 years and have had the opportunity to train at multiple gyms. Coach Jordan fosters a culture that is welcoming to all skill levels and personalities. He and the other coaches are knowledgeable and they themselves train at a high level but remain attentive to everyone in the class and are always willing to help

2022-03-28Can’t say enough great things about the Mill. Very welcoming environment and the more experienced students are always open to teaching you new things and improving your game. Not only is it a great workout but teaches you things you can apply in a self defense situation. My two daughters also train at the Mill and they love it. It has taught them great sportsmanship. We hope to be a part of the Mill for a long time.

2022-03-28No matter if you are an adult or child, when you endeavor to strive towards new goals you know your going to need help along the way. The sense of vulnerability you feel as you begin a journey outside of your comfort zone can be unsettling. Fortunately, the coaching staff at The Jiu Jitsu Mill truly shines in helping their students feel immediately welcome. Not only are they knowledgeable practitioners and excellent teachers, but they actively look to support each student as they progress on their own unique path. As both a student and parent of a student, I have witnessed this through multiple lenses. Plus, in addition to the supportive nature of the staff, this philosophy resonates throughout the membership as well. There is truly a sense of community among the membership - everyone is very supportive of one another. It is clear the collective goal is growth. I would highly recommend to anyone considering jiu jitsu that they consider starting their journey with Coach Jordan at The Jiu Jitsu Mill.

2022-03-27My son, Adam, started at the Jiujitsu Mill as a trial about 1 1/2 years ago and he was hooked after his first class! Jordan and all the other coaches are phenomenal!!! They engage the kids, teach them discipline, self defense, but most of all self confidence!!! My son went from a novice to winning GOLD in a competition against other students from around the Northeast and I could not be more proud and grateful to the Jiujitsu Mill.Looking forward to many more years to come! 😁
