The Kettle Black in other cities:
Went out there from Jersey for the .69 cent wing special on Wednesdays, and it was a good move on my part. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the dining area was clean and had tables spaced out so you were not on top of each other. I liked how the bathrooms were just the toilet and the sink was in the common area. They require you to wear a mask when walking around, but once your seated your allowed to take it off. The waitstaff had a mask on the whole time. My only issue was the parking, but being Staten Island, I didn’t expect. Parking lot so I just parked a few streets up. All in all a good atmosphere and good wings!
The St. George Theatre is so thankful to The Kettle Black for being a restaurant sponsor at our May 7, 2022 gala. John & staff are always wonderful to work with . The food was presented beautifully and of course DELICIOUS. No wonder theyre one of our favorite SI restaurants!!! And did I mention they make the best buffalo mac & cheese balls?Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you ~ not only for having a great restaruant and great staff but for being so community minded. We are so grateful for all you do. Staten Island is a better place thanks to you. xoxoxox The St. George Theatre is proud to call you a friend. xoxoxox
On wing night the wings are kind of hard and taste a bit over cooked it was a big let down 69 cents per wing on wild wing Wednesdays just uhm probably rather stick to ordering wings on a regular night for take home not eat there... sad cause I had high hopes for this chicken place
Food was ok. The sauce is what makes their wings. Ordered plain wings for my son thinking they would have some seasoning like a seasoned salt but they were bland and had no seasoning at all. I feel they should have a plain wing option for people who dont want sauce that still has a good flavor. Wings were also overcooked. Sandwich was bland but amazing once doctered up at home. Restaurant was very clean, staff was friendly, my husband said his beer was great.
Had to eat my burger and onion rings without ketchup 😒 . Couldnt eat baked Mac n cheese; (which did not come with the side of cornbread as menu says) no utensils were added to order. Wouldve used my hands , but no napkins were added with order as well. Guess they thought I was a 🐕
Just Tried This Place For The First Time. The Macaroni Lacked Alot Of Flavor Tasted Very Plain & Basic. Potato Skins Werent Impressive & Was Dry Along W. The Fries. Their Chicken Cutlet Nunzio Parm Was Giving Frozen Chicken & Tasted Very Strange. The Salad Was The Best Part Of My Meal. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK
Great food! Great place just to grab a bite to eat or have a drink as well as a full dinner! They serve lunch as well. Its a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Very clean and never a wait. Plenty of seating. A fully stocked bar helps with business meetings. Lol. But I would definitely recommend coming here to grab something. Its close by, easy to park, and great food! What more can you ask for?
We came on a Saturday night. Everyone was very nice and friendly. We sat rather quickly (2adults and 3 kids). The bar was packed and loud. The Macaroni and cheese was really good and I am obsessed with the French Onion soup.We live in Richmondtown so this was a good change of scenery.
Hi!! I went here last Sunday night around 7:30 with my two sons jimmy and jason and i absolutely loved it the waitress was extremely nice and fast with our food my sons loved the football games and we had an awesome bus kid who was creating conversation and being absolute delight i think the waitress name was sam and the bus kid was john or johnny and i totally recommend coming to this place for a great time with awesome people there!!
Ive been going to Kettle Black Bar since 2004 when they opened. Had many a drinks with Tom Kane behind the bar, and many wings as well. Over the years they have never disappointed. The food is excellent, the service is great and the atmosphere is perfect.Recently, during this outbreak, my family, ordered from the Staten Island Kettle Black... the food was excellent, the service was professional and contact free...oh and the wings - out of this world.Kettle Black is home and everyone should please support them! 10/10
I really enjoyed my meal at Kettle Black . The food was great. The atmosphere was alive and a lot of fun. You feel the family friendly ambiance of this place. Prices very reasonable and what was even more enjoyable was the portion size. Our waiter Gustavo was over the top professional, friendly and couldn’t do enough to assure our experience here was a good one. Thank you Gustavo and the staff at Kettle Black. I will be visiting KB more often and highly recommend it for a great time and good food.
Ordered for delivery. Was told it would be 1 hour. 1.5 hours later I call they say we are sorry food but food has been sent out should be there soon. Over 2 hours now since I ordered they said yes your food has been sent out over 30 minutes ago and thats just how delivery takes sometimes we are very busy. Food came cold and soggy. Normally place is very prompt with good food, but this was not what I was expecting. Hopefully it was a one time issue.
Theyre making a big effort of advertising their wings. Sorry guys but when I got my order chicken wings were a disgrace. Ridiculously small with hardly any meat on them and bone dry. I mean it was like chewing bark of some wood with sauce on top of that. They were simply inedible. Honestly youre much better of with Planet Wings and Im the last one to recommend chains over locally owned.
I love this place!!! Always go here with a group of people and we are always treated amazing. Their wings are literally to die for, my favorite is the buffalo. Their cheese fries along with their mozzarella sticks are also delicious. I love Monday’s/Wednesday’s because of 69cent wings!! Also their happy hour is amaaaazing.
I had a birthday celebration with a group of friends here, couldnt have went better. Big thanks to Kristen and Dave in accommodating my fluctuating guest list and making sure that there would be no issues. The party appetizers were delicious, and drinks were always full thanks to the amazing work of the staff. Highly recommended!!!
Food was good, staff was awesome. I came on Thursday night to watch some football but they had a DJ blasting music from 9pm. Good spot and compares to the Bay ridge location. Wish they did not have the DJ until after the game as I wanted to watch and talk football. Hard to talk over the loud music. I would recommend this place for food and hang out but definately not for watching Thursday night football.
Cute little bar and restaurant on Staten Island. Parkings not great but the food is good and the service is pretty good. On the night I went they were out of Malibu rum so had to drink vodka which was clearly bottom shelf. When I pointed out how bad the drink was she took it off the bill and brought me another one with a better vodka. The sliders were small but delicious. It was fairly crowded for a Sunday evening so I can only imagine it must be quite crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.
First time here. No room on the bar because drunk people were standing around. Decided we had no choice but to be seated at a table. Waiter looked directly at us, and neglected us for 20 min. Really loud, sports bar though, so I get it. We ordered wings, which were pretty great, but a little overly priced. Food was good, service sucks.
Great place. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the service is spot on.The entertainment is always excellent. Weve had several parties there and everything was perfect!Great place! Actually going there around 5pm today with some friends and family to unwind, get some great food and drinks and listen to the music of Ricky D. 🎶🎸 #livemusic. 🍻 🥂🥃
I love this place. Ive seen some reviews that say otherwise but I think their in house buffalo sauce is the best in the business. The wings are amazing, a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. The flavor is beyond just buffalo sauce and they have really good rubs also for those that dont want to get their hands wet. I highly recommend the Rajun Cajun flavor. The beer selection is great also. Careful selection of IPAs, instead of ALL OF THEM like other bars. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great, there is an event almost every night of the week and calandars displayed so you know whats coming up.
This is a restaurant that thinks it can do whatever it wants to do. It has about 9 tables that are blocking parking spots that people pay for. This restaurant thinks it owns Forest Avenue, when it is severely mistaken. The 120PCT of the NYPD never does anything about these guys. I have tried calling the Richmond County Sheriffs Office about these guys. Eventually, I am going to start making calls to the New York State Police.
As far as places on Staten Island go, this was surprisingly an amazing find! My gf and I just walked in not knowing anything about this place, and we were extremely satisfied with our choice in coming here. I had the Kettle Black Burger, which came with fries, applewood bacon, truffle cheddar cheese, and the meat was charcoal grilled (at least Im fairly certain it is). It was honestly one of the best burgers Ive had at a restaurant/bar hands down. It was juicy, and melted in your mouth, and it was a good portion size. 10/10 Would go back again. Also, pretty good atmosphere. They had a guy that came in and sang some songs from the 70s and 90s for a bit.
Friendly stafff, great beer selection and hearty wings. Yep, you actually get wings with some meat on them and not dried out (Im talking to you B-Dubs). Growing up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, there werent too many wing spots other than Fitzpatricks in Bay Ridge. One day Fitzpatricks is gone & Kettle Black is there with the same great wings. Now that Im in Staten Island, its awesome that some of my favorite neighborhood spots are following me . They have nice decor with what feels like an open concept floor plan and a TV on seemingly every other inch of wall. Oh & they are pretty much one of the very few places that have Killians on tap!!!
Went there tonight for the 4th of July intending to watch a baseball game(it is a sports bar right?) Which i made clear to the waiter when i said table for two with a view of the game. They had a musician who was mediocre at best but made up for his lack of talent with volume, which I guess was an attempt at keeping customers from telling each other how bad he was. However before the game was over, and before we were even finished with our beers(only my second round, my dates first) the waiter threw our check at us without us asking for it. It was incredibly rude and my date and I left early foregoing the last round we were planning on having(and missing the last two innings of the game). I want to clarify there were less than 20people in the bar so this was not about turning tables, but getting rid of happily paying customers.I live on Forest ave and while the wings were pretty good I wont be going back. They lost my money this night and from now on, LIBERTY TAVERN AND JODIES WILL BE GETTING MY BUSINESS.
Went to watch a Jets game. No Drink Specials. No Food Specials. Cant even get a pitcher of beer. The best was when they kicked us out our seats at halftime to put a DJ in. No one mentioned this before we sat. Ubered right to Beer Garden. Should have started there. Overall, Decor is typical Staten Island generic, dimly lit, loud bar. Lot of TVs and seemed clean. Food was good. (except that burger temp. was wrong. but no one in SI apparently can cook medium rare.) no big deal. Basically, if this didnt carry the Kettle Black name over from Brooklyn, there wouldnt be very much hype. it would be called Afterafternoones and no one would notice.

2022-05-23Great service great food, must try all the wings. We watched the Rangers win some games here. Its a perfect bar to watch your favorite sports teams, Tvs are everywhere. Bobbi was our server extremely knowledgeable with the menu and once the place got packed she made to comeBy our table and make sure we had everything we needed. 5 stars just for her and the service. I think the tap had 14 beers to choose from tried to drink them all. LGR

2021-08-04The best wings on the island! Their buffalo is good with a kick. If you want something sweeter go for the Great Wall which is a teriyaki style sauce. We got the Great Wall wings, boneless buffalo wings, cauliflower wings which were great, and chicken quesadilla. All good!

2021-11-06Everything we ordered was amazing!!! Chicken wings are delicious and inexpensive, and there are many flavors to choose from. I would highly recommend to order shepherd’s pie as it is one of the best I’ve ever had!

2022-03-14Good wings, good beer selection, friendly bartenders, musicians, trivia nights, TVs everywhere. Usually a party atmosphere, gets loud & crowded on nights and weekends. If this doesnt bother you, go check it out.Wing lovers — dry rub is great, also classic Buffalo is the usual amount of spiciness, which is as spicy as it gets here. They dont serve any sort of nuclear or extreme flavors so keep that in mind.

2022-03-04The food was good, the service was a bit slow. I was not sure if there was enough staff, they were very friendly. They have one side of the establishment setup for sit down service with tons of TVs. Around the wall separating the sit-down area from the bar area they have live music which was nice but can definitely become too loud at times. There is no parking lot so street parking is what we have, the portions were large and the food was flavorful

2022-05-09First time there. Place was packed but our waitress Bobbi(?) was phenomenal. She was already on the 10th hour of a 12+ hour shift, but we had such great service. Had a jumbo warm pretzel for an appetizer I split with my son. Very good. Garlic parmesean wings were good. Definitely be back.
