Im lucky to have called the Lanthian my home for the last three years and couldnt be happier. Rodrigo, on our maintenance team is a true professional and makes it a point to quickly address any of our needs large or small. They have truly spoiled us to the point where it would likely be difficult to live anywhere else. We also couldnt survive without the door staff (Kerry, Will, Mike, and Dev) who greet us with a smile day in and day out, and pay special attention to all the details. Thank you to the Lanthian team for all that you do!
Staff here is INCREDIBLE. Will, Chris, Mike, Ralphy, Asease to name a few that always go above and beyond. Theyve done an amazing job keeping the gym safely open during COVID with their reservable slots. Renovated rooms are fantastic - sizeable for NYC, although they can of course be pretty pricey... Only downsides of the building are the sirens and sounds from the hospital - but Ive been surprised at how easy it is to get used to it.
Living at The Lanthian has by far been the best apartment renting experience in NYC. I moved in last month and it’s been great so far. The staff is responsive and the building is well maintained. I look forward to living here for a long time.

2022-05-26Ever since we recently moved here (3 weeks ago) it has been nothing but stressful and unsafe. At first I loved the apt and the leasing personnel was amazing. The second day we slept in the apartment we woke up to steaming hot air coming our of the AC even though we set it to cooling mode. The best way to describe it is falling asleep inside a sauna. Long story short I am 9 months pregnant and have a 13 month old. I can not stress enough how dangerous hot air inside a closed bedroom can be, it can actually be deadly to a newborn. We have put numerous repair requests and they keep sending someone to say its ok only to be woken up again with suffocating heat blowing out out the AC. We pay a lot of money since we have a three bedroom and I just don’t see why we have to deal with this on going issue and be put in unsafe situations due to the careless nature of this management.

2022-01-11Have lived here for just over a year…..my experience has been lovely! The staff are attentive and friendly, apartments have great space and finishes and a lovely group of residents!!! Looking forward to staying as long as I can! Big shoutout to all the staff especially Asease and all the lovely doorman and maintenance folks, who truly make living here a great experience…

2018-08-17Super location, great views, apartment is great, very nice appliances. Manager of building is great! Very quite, takes pets. You would never know there are any in the building it’s so quite. Front desk staff very nice and helpful.

2021-08-03I moved to the Lanthian in mid-March 2021. This is the best building I’ve lived in since moving to the city from queens 11 years ago. The leasing staff is pleasant and quick to follow up on questions. The doormen and maintenance staff have become instant friends and buddies with my pup. The events held are so much fun. And, the residents are a pleasure. If I could give 10 stars I would! ☺️

2020-06-18Our experience with The Lanthian has been overwhelmingly positive. We were apartment hunting during the pandemic and were having an extremely difficult time finding apartment buildings that would work with us, until we spoke with Anna at The Lanthian. She was able to accommodate us and do everything virtually, including a walk-through of our apartment! Since moving here, we have only had positive experiences. All of the people at the front desk are lovely and helpful! The amenities that we have been able to use have been great! Maintenance came quickly and fixed our issue immediately. All of the appliances have worked perfectly! We were scared signing sight unseen; however, I am extremely happy we did! I would strongly recommend this building!

2021-08-14I began searching for apartments in late June 2021. During the apartment search, I valued both top quality in the structure of the building and the professionalism of the staff.As for staff, I quickly came into contact with Asease at The Lanthian who went above and beyond to update me regularly on videos, photos, and floor plans of different units. I communicated with Asease over the next two months as I narrowed down the apartment hunt and was very impressed by her responsiveness and professionalism.As for the building, I was particularly impressed by the commitment that The Lanthian has to renovating to keep its units modern and well-kept. I could tell that management put care into each of the three or four units I personally toured to ensure that the air conditioning, appliances, and furnishings (e.g., cabinets, flooring, etc.) are top quality.Though I ultimately was unable to rent with The Lanthian, the deciding factor was merely the length of commute to my work and had nothing to do with the top quality of the building and staff. Based on my tour of the building and interactions with Asease, I would definitely recommend anyone to check out The Lanthian.

2020-07-06I lived at the Lanthian for almost two years and can say only the good things about this building. My 1-bedroom apt was bigger in size than similar layouts in other buildings. There are washers/dryers in units! All appliances worked well, I never had any major maintenance problems (elevators, hot water, A/C - everything was good). All minor requests were addressed within a day or two. The apt was quite warm in the winter even with no heating on. Common areas (gym, lounge, roof deck) are nice too, and there are grills on the roof deck, which apparently not all buildings have. All building staff are nice and efficient. The building management always communicates promptly and quickly responds to emails, never had any issue with them. My deposit was returned one month after my move-out date. Location is good: supermarkets, two SBS buses, ferry landing and a subway station 10 minutes away. If you are looking for a place in Midtown, I totally recommend it.The only objective downside I can mention is that if your windows overlook the 1st avenue, you will hear some sirens and traffic. Also, if the apt is close to the elevator, you might hear it and people walking by. But then again, it depends on how sensitive you are to noise.

2020-11-13The Lanthian is an awesome building and a welcoming, inclusive community! Asease is an outstanding Leasing Professional who seamlessly walked me through the application process. She made my moving experience super easy and less stressful. Asease promptly responded to my emails and she offered great solutions to my problems. She’s a gem and The Lanthian is lucky to have her on their team. The super, doormen and staff are very attentive and kind. I adore my apartment. It has everything I need and a spectacular NYC view! The amenities are exceptional too! I wish I moved here sooner, but I’m glad to be here now. If you’re looking for a luxury apartment, The Lanthian is the luxury rental for you. I love it here! 2019-07-24This is a great building. Its newly renovated, well-maintained, and the staff is amply responsive and attentive. The gym and lounge facilities are fantastic and extremely convenient, the rooftop is beautifully designed. I also appreciate that the building hosts resident socializing events. Although I dont have a dog, its important to me to live in a dog-friendly building, and they truly are here. My unit itself is nearly perfect--only a small handful of annoyances--but the pros of the unit certainly outweigh the cons: an alcove studio with an in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with an ice maker, ample cabinet storage. The dishwasher isnt the best but thats in part due to its small size as its only a 550sqft apartment. The rent/overall cost of living is higher than usual for studio in the area, but the benefits of the building make it less hard of a pill to swallow. There are only a small handful of things I wish were different, majority of them regarding the apartment itself. Overall, its without a doubt one of the better buildings in midtown.

2020-05-29I have enjoyed my time living at The Lanthian. All the staff here - and I mean ALL - are wonderful, kind and caring people. They truly care about the resident experience. They value the residents over money, and this has made my time here feel at home. The cleaning staff and concierge are always up for a chat and present with a friendly smile at every encounter. Chris is in particular a very friendly guy. All the concierge members are great too - shoutout to Mike and Wil.I love The Lanthian!
