The 2 stars have been awarded only for the location of the hotel. short to our room: The door had three locks, in the first none of our keys fit, the 2nd could be with its cylinder with any key turn and the third could with great sensitivity and skill after every 0.5 - 1.5 minutes eventually be unlocked. The door was so warped that it could only be opened with a strong push / kick (our poor room neighbors!). The room itself was relatively dirty, adorned by a stinking dark red carpet with various stains. The color of the pillowcases was more pearly white than white, so the pillows were immediately covered with a T-shirt. The lamps could have been from a horror movie a gas station toilet. The noise level of the air conditioning could be lowered with a few beats from compressor to car volume - but could be turned off overnight after our room window a view of a 30cm distant wall released and thus during the day no more sun than in an average crypt in the netting. Toilet was for about 12 rooms only one, this had also the only shower on the floor included (only good, that during our stay not many rooms were occupied otherwise I would probably have developed a Balkenharnblase because the toilet key ONLY at this 1 toilet on the same floor blocks). CONCLUSION: Rip off at the highest level, but in the middle of Manhattan.
The location is great, thats about it. The room was reasonably clean, the staff was not very friendly.
Weird, old hotel with very small tired rooms. But the price and especially the location make up for a lot ...
You can do it for a night or two. A good place to sleep due to the good location. But nothing more.

2021-07-21Pictures are a lie. One bathroom for the entire floor. Room was scary. Cheap and convenient location but had I known this is what I was paying for I would not have booked. Gross!

2019-01-04The pictures that they show are a lie, they are in the process of re-renovating the building . There’s holes in the walls in the place is really dirty . And the room is really SMALL! They should have this hotel buliding shut down until they finsh re-renovating the building. NOBODY should be living or staying in a place like that.ZERO STARS

2014-06-01There was critters in most of the rooms when I was there, but they may have got it together as of writing this. Very small rooms, there was a few call-girls at the hotel, but the staff was very nice. Very helpfull with everything and a very cheery bunch.

2016-03-01Also It was horrible my room was hot. The shower was dirty and chargers were messed up. And there was this one staff who was condescending I hated her then when I finally left she looked stupid and I told her we all know that is a wig

2016-01-07This hotel decided to try to debit my account for a couple hundred dollars when someone had a fake card with my name on it. Too f-ing lazy to check ID! If they are that lazy with checking IDS I can only imagine how they clean the rooms!

2012-08-07It was gross ..i did not even want to lay on the bed i had to cover it with my blanket and coat..the bathroom is in the hallway it is not a good place to stay this hotel is a rooming house for homeless mothers.
