The Little Garage in other cities:
The staff are very knowledgeable and professional.l have been coming here over the years and the work they do is by far the best with honesty. they have in my opinion gone above and beyond to accommodate me and my family. even personally giving me a real phone call to remind me when my inspection is due.and keeping my familys vehicles running at optimal performance. l highly recommended the little car garage. my BMW is in good hands thanks Matt and the crew!!!!!!
Matt and his team run a great operation. Ive been taking my E30 to them for the last several months, and I dont plan on taking it anywhere else unless the job is something I can do myself. They are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, take the time to explain whats wrong and why it should be fixed, and they do high quality work for a fair price. Id recommend them for anybody, but especially if you have an older BMW and want only the best care for it.
I have been bringing my car to The Little Garage since I purchased my 2012 BMW X5. I would not take it anywhere else! Matt and the crew provide outstanding service and professionalism! They are very knowledgable and know exactly how to properly diagnose and repair my BMW! Their prices are reasonable and certainly way lower than what the dealer would charge! Great service, great prices, knowledgeable mechanics! What more can you ask!
I went to little Garage due to google reviews and, Im glade I did. Matt is really a great person so informative and organized, they diagnosed my problem and contact my extended warranty to get the approval. Matt always kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions. TWO THUMBS UP for them.
Matt is always providing exceptional service. The most honest BMW mechanic and repair shop. No one knows about European cars than little garage. They saved me a lot of money by always telling me the truth or needed and un needed repairs. I trust little garage just as much or more than the BMW dealer. Hands down the best of the best.Robert
I have two Porsche vehicles that I’ve been bringing to the dealer for a couple years. Because I saw so many great reviews I decided to go to the little garage. I’m really glad that I did. I received incredible competent personal attention, and very honest and reasonable maintenance recommendations. I will only service my vehicles here instead of the expensive dealer from now on.
Fantastic service from experienced guys at a great price. The guys at the shop are always busy but they made time for my e36 m3. Had my clutch done, motor mounts, shifter bushings and a whole lot of other work done. Communication was fantastic and you can tell that these guys are passionate about their work. Cannot recommend them enough!!
Our family has been using this place for over 15 years. However, I was very disappointed with with Matt and his sevice in early August. My check engine light came on with a drive train malfunction. In the past hes always had a set diagnostic fee of under $200. This time his mechanics moved around my coils and fuel injectors, determined I had to replace a $50 hose and charged me 5 hours for labor, adding up to $650+ in labor. He wanted over $850 for this service. Got my car back and 24 hours later the same thing happened again with CE and DTM. Took it back to him and then he wanted $2400-2500 to change 6 fuel injectors.😳🤔 Beware of the ever ballooning costs and diagnostic fees that dont fix the problem when dealing with Matt. I had my injectors, coils, and spark plugs changed by another reputable BMW mechanic with over 20 yrs dealership experience and HE didnt try to BEAT me in the HEAD with ambiguous talk and crazy prices. I spent $1100 in parts and less than $500 in labor for a job that took 2hrs to do. Dont leave your car at the shop. Stay and watch the work that they do to your vehicle to avoid hikes in labor and diagnostic fees. The Little Garage is now charging more than dealerships!!! 🤨PS... After all the $$$ I paid him, HE DID NOT correctly diagnose my car; had all those things replaced that he suggested and the Problem was NOT resolved.😕
Im thrilled I found The Little Garage. Ive been looking for a reliable and trustworthy shop to take care of my car. Matt was knowledgeable and friendly - he and the team knew what they were doing, got my car back to my at the time they promised, and all for a reasonable price. I definitely will be back.UPDATE: Back for my follow-up visit and still enjoy bringing my car here. Im recommending for all of my friends to come here too.
Matthew and his crew treat you like true customers, and not profit centers. The pricing is quite fair, the diagnoses are always accurate, and best of all, I always feel like my cars are in good hands. The Little Garage is the first service center/repair shop I have ever felt comfortable at, not worried. Highly highly recommended.
Ive been taking my BMW X5 to Matt for years now, and I must say, the service that I have received from Matt is truly one of a kind.Matt is always incredibly patient and very transparent with me, and Matt always provides me with excellent advice as to what I should do whenever I have a question about my car.In addition, Matt treats me like family and always takes the time to explain any repairs or work that he has done on my car to me. Matts great sense of humor as he explains things to me at times is much appreciated as well.Matt is one of the most kind, honest, and genuine people that I have ever done business with in my life. He truly cares about his customers. There were times when I wanted to have something looked at on my car while I was away for school (not on Long Island), but I would purposely wait until I was back on Long Island to have Matt look at the potential issue because I trust Matt greatly with my car.I strongly believe that one of the main reasons that my car has always served me so well for years now is due to Matt always being on top of things and letting me know about any future potential matters for my car that I might want to be aware of or keep an eye on.I highly recommend The Little Garage to anyone who is looking to have work done on his/her German car not only for a reasonable price, but also at a place that offers quality service and unparalleled hospitality.
This was my first time using The Little Garage. I was specifically looking for an indy shop specializing in BMWs and found these guys on a forum I belong to. They were always rated as the Best BMW shop on Long Island, so I decided to give them a try.I spoke with Matt (owner) initially, and he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and listened to all my concerns. What I loved most is he told me straight up what to expect, and didnt do anything without talking it over with me first. His team is incredible too...one of his guys has been with him for 30+ years, so that alone is usually a good sign of a great shop. They were timely, personable, responsive, and honest. I will absolutely be returning in the future and recommend this shop to anyone with a BMW that is looking for true experts while trying to avoid the outrageous dealership costs.
After having problems with other shops and hearing numerous recommendations, I finally brought my 13-year-old BMW to The Little Garage. Im trying not to beat myself up for waiting so long, it wouldve saved me a lot of time and money. My car had a water pump issue and also a recurring oil leak that was supposedly fixed by my local mechanic. After speaking with Matt, the owner, I came in and the car received a thorough diagnostic during which everything was explained to me in great detail. Things I needed now and those that could wait were all explained. Matt even reviewed with me all my prior repair bills from other places. To keep this review short, let me just say that overall I have never had an experience like this - from the way the job was done, to the level of expertise, and the follow-up after I took the car home - The Little Garage is just phenomenal. If you want the job done right the first time, and you care about your car, go to The Little Garage!
Out of overwhelming recommendations by Nextdoor neighbors, I took my 13-year-old BMW to the Little Garage for a routine service for the first time. Matt was great and the whole process was very efficient, and I think the cost was reasonable. He mentioned the left front axel may have leaked but it can still hold up for a while. I thought that was good advice on his part. You hate service shops charging you for unnecessary repairs so I thank Matt for his candor and honesty! I will definitely return in the future.
I went to BMW to get a battery change on my (baby)m-3 2012 convertible. They wanted $1500 which was crazy so I put it off and happened to be driving by The Little garage. Boy, was I glad I stopped there. The owner was very nice and helpful. I gave them my car and they did a great job at a reasonable price. I’m very happy 😃 with their work & will let all my friends know about this place.
Been to Little Garage before for service & repairfor a similar but different vehicle (both 1987 MeBe 560SL). They are reliable, trustworthy & competent. Deal with the owner Matt who doesn’t look to run up unnecessary charges. He’ll say what is truly required & what you can leave alone.Estimate returned quickly with discussion of items . Car ready as promised & all work completed professionally.
Matt and Ken run the most efficient and fair auto repair garage that I have ever used . We own several Mercedes Benz vehicles as well as some collector American cars . They never over sell and pricing is reasonable. Their garage is one of the cleanest and well organized . I also had them inspect several cars before I purchased them . Highly recommended for all your vehicles .
I highly recommend taken your vehicle to the Little Garage for any repair or maintenance. Matt is a pleasure to work with. He provides detailed information on what work needs to be done and the prices are fair. I brought in my Maserati to have the cam shaft position sensor replaced and to fix an issue with the evap system. I will be bringing all my vehicles to them moving forward. Thanks again!
Matthew is always on all the details...and never will put up red flags just to raise the invoice total.Instead he will give an honest assessment on what he feels is necessary for the cars performance and the customers safety.Great qualified and seasoned technicians that know their way around BMWs and Coopers. I trust these guys
I have been bringing my American and Foreign car to Ace Auto and the Little Garage for decades..both company heads have always provided me the utmost professional service..my questions as to what problems are being addressed are fully discussed and explained..a forgotten question is only a short phone call away...waiting at the garage at times for a short fix has allowed me to observe the direct hands on direction Matt and Ken take in speaking to the mechanic working on my vehicle...at times they even show me what and how the repairs are going. Lastly...the mechanics..most have been at their job for many years...they have become friends and have a sincere hello and most importantly take pride in their work...as an aside..I think that Matt has never seen an older. BIMMER that he doesnt covet.
I am so happy to have found Little Garage near my hometown. Matts honesty and work ethic is something to be noted. He clearly communicates and provides an honest input on the upkeep of my daily. I will have Little Garage continue to service my E90 3 series till its last day!
SOOO HAPPY!! the Little Garage fixed my BMW (1984 - 745i)The engine has not worked reliably for over 10 years. Finally called the Little Garage and Matt spoke to me at length about my car. Next, towed it in and Matt and Hugh took me on an extensive tour of the car-explaining everything they saw. Matt is a genius at finding parts that are no longer available in this country. He also called a few times a week with progress reports on the repair ( Who thinks to do that!). Hugh is an excellent mechanic and diagnostician and spent time explaining his repairs with me. I felt very confident with Matt and Hugh. Care - Compassion - Professionalism - and Honesty, the Little Garage gives it all. So happy to drive this car again.
Matt was super helpful in talking to me about some of the technical aspects of which oil is best to use for our car - super helpful. Also, he pointed out that our inspection was overdue, which we had overlooked. Definitely will be returning for all of our car service needs.
I’ve been to the Little Garage numerous times for numerous issues on my cars and my kids cars because they do good work at a reasonable price and they are professional and treat their customers with respect and honesty. My only concern about giving them this review is that they will get too busy and I’ll have to wait longer for them to get to my car!
I have known the Little Garage for over 12 years now. Matt is very knowledgeable and he explains all repairs and actions clearly before performing them. His mechanics are excellent and Im very happy and satisfied having my BMW E39 - M5 serviced there when needed. Thank you, - David and Anita Meza
Working with the Little Garage is always a top-notch experience. Stay away from BMW dealers--the free rental is nice, but the amount of unnecessary repairs theyll tell you that you need are absurd. Was told I needed a new $10,000 transmission, Matt took care of the problem for under $500.
I have a 2011 135i. My first BMW, after having my car be abused by a BMW dealership I wasnt to fond of going back. Did some research online found the little garage to have good reviews. Spoke with Matt the shop owner had the work done on my car in a reasonable amount of time being that it was warranty work. They did a great job, paid very special attention to my wants and needs on the car. Will continue to go back when myself and my car are treated right.
The Little Garage is my go to repair shop. There must be 50 businesses between my house and their repair shop. Matthew is a great communicator, I never have unknown expenses, everything is discussed, just like a dealership, without the stealership pricing. Their mechanics are top notch and I recommend using them. My Mini Cooper S is just great, because they care.Thank you Little Garage.
Good service and Matt is always willing to work with with me. They’ve tackled everything from an oil change, to installation of full bolt-ons, to an DME/ECU rebuild on my 335i. BMW’s are complicated to repair but if you value your car it’s definitely worth the trip to The Little Garage when you need quality work done without the never ending guesswork of a less experienced indy shop or untrustworthy dealer.
Just a few words abut TLG. The Little Garage and its owner Matt Meng are great. I and several friends have used them for years on my MB. They are totally professional, reasonable and almost always know what the car will need long before it comes to pass. Bottom line... I listen to Matt carefully because in the final analysis he saves me lots of money. He is a German car expert and his partner covers all other types of cars with equal care and professionalism.
I travel over an hour to bring my car to The Little Garage and I am not the only one that is doing the journey. Everyone that has had Matt work on their car, is hooked for life.Matt and Ken are the type of mechanics that are extremely knowledgeable and accountable that sets a presedent of confidence when you step into your car to drive. I drive anywhere from 250 to 500 miles a week, mostly on the Palisades and the Taconic’s winding road. It is imperative that my auto is in perfect shape for myself and the safety of the other drivers I share the road with.My car is a 1999 Mercedes in mint condition, thanks to The Little Garage. ❤️My car is at 257k miles thank you The Little Garage.

2022-03-20My father Bruce brought my mom’s car here for its annual inspection and was so pleased with the service he received. He was particularly impressed with Matt who proactively reached out to him to tell them that the car was due for inspection. He was incredibly kind and made the experience feel personal. In addition, the prices were more extremely reasonable. My family will continue servicing our cars here for years to come!

I used to go to BMW dealership in Bay shore but those days are gone don’t second guess yourself this is the ONLY place to bring your foreign car. 2022-06-13The Little Garage repaired a major electrical issue with my friends 2006 BMW Sport Wagon and we were very pleased with the service and the assistance that was provided by Matt. He went above and beyond what you would normally expect from a repair center. Three weeks later we back for an oil change. We highly recommend the Little Garage.

2022-06-12The guy who sits next to Matthew called me and my Son stereo. Dude we are paying and want to know the details. He is a cheater. Never knows what to do. Install my high pressure fuel pump car still giving trouble. I told him that I might be needing fuel control module. He took it on his ego and his 47 year experience kicked in and he said I need high fuel pressure since he been dealing with these cars for years. Well he should definitely return my money since my high fuel pressure was working fine.

2022-06-12Feed them Money 💰and don’t question about your car, because Matt doesn’t like you question him about the service they are performing on your car. He needs to be running a Yoga Camp if he can’t deal with customers with their regular question since they are paying. They always start off repairing the most expensive part.
