We lived here for 2 years and absolutely loved it! Everything here was so perfect - location, staffs, building size, etc. We lived in other high-rise buildings in LIC and I can guarantee you Luna was the best. Front desk people were so nice and you can get your package the moment they were delivered. We moved out just because we wanted to try other neighborhoods and occasionally regret it.

We’ve lived at Luna for almost 3 years and have had a great experience so far! Love the monthly socials and events (Super Bowl party, oscars etc) that they hold in the lounge. The building is very well maintained and the staff and management are very easy to get a hold of and incredibly friendly. If an issue does pop up, the building is quick to inform tenants and fix it! The units themselves are spacious and built with nice finishes and a w/d and d/w in each unit (huge bonus). The roof terrace has a gorgeous view and a lot of space for tons of people to enjoy it. I can’t say enough great things about the people at Luna and the space itself. You can’t find a better space for the price in LIC!

I had a great experience living here for 2 years. Everything was satisfactory. The front desk staff were helpful and made no mistakes, the super was responsive at resolving issues, and the management staff were organized and on point about anything you needed to talk to them about, such as lease renewal and getting the deposit back. The building is also right next to the subway which is really convenient.

Management never picked up the phone call. You can only call and leave a voice message and wait till they call you back.I have lived in the apartment for more than 3 years. Since I moved in I discover that the floor had weird blue spots but back then it was more of cosmetic issue rather than function issue. I reported to the management, and the manger back then told me he had to order floor from China and it will take 1 -2 months for the floors to arrive. I was so busy at work therefore I didnt follow up on this issue.Until recently I have to move out due to the poor floor condition. The floor was beyond repair. There were cracks everywhere, and holes on so many floors. Obviously they used defective floor at the beginning. Also there are a couple pieces that are crooked. And to be honest the only solution is to replace the whole floor. Also this floor problem is not only happening in my unit. I constantly suffered from construction noise since the building was fixing other units floor. It was certainly disturbing since everyone is working from home now and management never gave you notice.

Very poor management, units are old and without sunlight.When Covid started I asked if management could give me some rent reduction or extra rent payment time and below was their response:In response to your request we cannot provide you with an abatement. We remind you the terms, covenants and conditions of your Lease remain in full force and effect. Until such time any law is promulgated or becomes effective at the Federal, State or Local level providing for rental assistance, the Tenant is obligated to pay Landlord the monthly rent , plus any arrears or late fees due under the Lease. - Lance Office Manager

Luna has been the best building Ive ever lived in. Modern units, no-frills amenities, and attentive staff + management. Theyve handled the pandemic very well and Ive felt very safe. If youre looking for a smaller building in LIC with great value, this is the place to call home.

Management was terrible at this building. Getting back your security deposit was a hassle and management was not great at communicating with tenants. Mike the super was great at maintenance and the front desk staff (Juan, Darius, and Manny) were great at their job - very good about handling tenant complaints and issues and was on top of their daily routine.Management needs to do a better job of finding the right people to manage the property. Doing a better job at handling the lease signing and tenant move out and doing a better job of retaining the right front desk staff. Theres a lot of new buildings coming up in the area - Hayden, 1QPS, The Forge, and various others. Luna needs to do a better job of being competitive.

I moved in to Luna in February and have had a really great experience with the new management. My unit has a W/D and D/W which is convenient and I like to relax in the lounge with the free wifi and coffee provided. Im glad I arrived after the new management started and have been thrilled with the customer service and flexibility they provided me for my short term internship this summer.

I became a tenant of this building in December of 2016. Since then, the managers have proven time and time again to be unqualified to fulfill the position for which they have been hired. The general manager, Lance Cohen, has overstepped boundaries violating my privacy as a tenant. A coworker of mine and I were in the lounge, at which point we happened to make a comment regarding the rent. Mr. Cohen found the need to contact me and state that Are you trying to sublet this apartment? I heard you discuss rents with someone...on March 13, 2017.. with a gentleman in the lounge. This has made me feel as though I can no longer hold conversations with my visitors in common areas, without someone from building management listening to every word I say. This behavior is unprofessional and blatantly unacceptable.Another issue that must be addressed is the timely payment on essential utilities like electricity. Residents of this building, me included, have received warnings of late payment from ConEdison. After much confusion was caused, it became evident this happened due to managements inability to perform the duties their position entails.With that being said, Id like to point out and congratulate the staff working the front desk who do a remarkable job and are very helpful and polite, as it should be for anyone working within the hospitality industry.Due to the incidents mentioned above I have decided to move at the end of my lease. As a resident and from my experience I would not recommend this building to anyone looking for a place to live.

Given that if someone were to write a review of building management it would be to complain I figured I would write a review of my good experience so far living in Luna Apartments. Immediately upon moving I noticed that the facilities (gym, refuse rooms, hallways) are scented with a pleasant smell and cleaned daily. The moment of truth came when within a week there was an internet installation where the repairman ripped the paint around the hatch where the LAN outlets go and leaky pipes from extremely cold temperatures caused a leak of water to come down from the apt on the floor above. Both these issues were raised to building management. Usually there is a concern as a new tenant that bringing up multiple concerns would result in only one of those being addressed. So I was surprised when Mike let me know that he would be able to get to plastering, painting and replacing the blinds all within the same week of when the request was submitted. From my experience management has been very responsive to all our questions. Aside from management, the doormen as others have commented do a great job making you feel right a home. And the quiet policy in the building means that you really wont have to worry about noisy neighbors interrupting the peace in your apartment.
