The Manhattan Club in New York
The Manhattan Club in other cities:
My stay was overall great. The hotel is located in a great location near several places you want to check off your to do list. However I was placed in room 209 directly in front of the elevator I was not a fan. Also, the first night we had to get the toilet plunged and from that night on a horrible sewer smell was coming from the bathroom and the shower drain. We did call to have someone check it out but they only flushed the toilet several times. He stated that he would come back that night but didnt so we delt with the smell and I came up with my on remedy to help
Positive: The staffs (mostly the bellhops) were very friendly. It turns out that the rooms are not just rooms, but full suites. If I had been staying more than one night, I would have really appreciated the kitchen and sitting room. Negative: The one big factor for me is that the Wifi did not work in my (14th floor) room. I counted on having internet to do work, and could not do it there. Also, the temperature was not very controllable--a bit hot for early April--but really, internet is all.
I have to give a great shoutout to Daniel in the concierge department! My parents are staying this weekend for their 30th wedding anniversary and I called asking if I could have a dessert with a note sent to their room. Daniel made it happen beautifully and worked with their vendor to go above and beyond to work within my budget while still making it something beautiful for my parents as a surprise! Such great and efficient customer service which feels rare to find nowadays. I will definitely be looking at staying here when I come to visit!
An enjoyable stay but just scrape a 4 due to some staff members. Probably more a 3.5 but the apartment was very good as was the location. Good quality rooms and fit out. Parquet flooring and 60+inch tvs were nice touches. Bathroom was also great including a tv in the mirror! Just needed somewhere to put shampoo/shower gel in the shower?! Kitchen area was very small but fine for what we needed. Main bed was AMAZING but fold out bed didn’t have proper bedding (and apparently this couldn’t be provided) it was a scratch blanket, a sheet and 1.5 pillows.. literally a half pillow so I don’t think it would be suitable for 4 adults. My biggest bugbear was that you couldn’t see any city lights from the City Lights apparent?! Luckily it was very good in other ways but I expected a bit of a view.. security guards and Bellmen were polite and helpful but one staff member left a real sour taste over the whole stay.. check out I went to speak to the receptionist, I said ‘hello, I need to check out etc. can we leave my bags for the day blah blah’ she (vanka or something along those lines) barely looked up from stapling some paper work and just said ‘if you’re done leave the key in the box’ and ‘talk to bellmen’.. it’s like she was trying to be rude. I had just spent over $1100 on a 3 night stay… a ‘was everything ok/I hope you enjoyed your stay’ would have been nice. My wife noticed it across the reception! Look everyone has a bad day but jeez she is in the wrong job if that is her approach! I know I mention staff in my reviews a lot but it’s because my career is in a customer centric industry and I think it’s important to highlight the impact it has. I would probably advise a stay here though. Annoying not having any reception functions (bar etc.) but is what it is. Cleaner was also nice and polite when asking if we need anything!
We stayed for two nights at the Manhattan Club and very much enjoyed our time. We booked this room through Bluegreen, but there seemed to be other owners though RCI or other businesses in this building. Our room said executive suite and when we checked in they called it a junior executive suite. We corrected them at check in and they just said yes, it is the same thing. I dont know if is or is not. The description of the room pretty much matched what we got.The bed was nice and comfortable. The room included a small sink, dishwasher, and under the counter refrigerator. along with a microwave and some dishes. I should have counted how many plates and silverware settings it had but my memory is that it had 4 plates, bowls etc.The dishwasher was really nice because we did make our own breakfast and lunches in the room to save a little money. For dinner we went to a souvlaki grill that was just down the street. I highly recommend it. It was really good food. They asked if we had a reservation because they were packed. Literally you are sitting RIGHT next to the person at the next party. We did not have a reservation but they got us seated in about 15 minutes. One word about the pull out couch. It definitely will only fit ONE person. Luckily we didnt need it but thought we would pull it out for future reference. It is a single bed pull out. I dont really think even two kids could fit. Maybe if they really got along well and didnt roll around, but it was definitely only for one adult. The little sitting area was a little cramped with the TV over at the side, so watching TV would have been very uncomfortable. There was so much to see we didnt watch any TV, but if you were planning on a movie or something it would not have been very comfortable to watch TV at the side of the couch. The Manhattan Club is about a block from Central Park. We entered right at the end or beginning (not sure which one it is - I heard someone say it was the south end) of Central Park at 59th street. It was very close by. We had an amazing time walking all through Central Park, it is very diversified with lakes, boats, tennis, baseball, merry-go-rounds, play areas. I would highly recommend the Ramble. It is just little paths going through trees with lots of birds. Our second day we walked to the MOMA which a couple of blocks away. Great experience. Then we walked a little further to St Peters Cathedral. Check on the times they are closed with their church services before you go. We then walked to Grand Central Station and then over to Times Square. It was an amazing day.The Manhattan club has a pretty nice work out room and lounge on the 26th floor. They do offer a breakfast for about $22 per person in the lounge. We were OK with some cereal and milk in our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did valet park our car for $35 a day. You cannot get your car out unless you are going to pay again. We really did not need to get it out because the Manhattan club was very centrally located. There were subway entrances everywhere.
Its btwn TimeSq and Columbus Circle. So location wise, for a tourist, i guess it is kool but there are way better hotels, overall. This will be my 2nd time here and it was not as satisfying as the first time. The first room had a kitchenette (which was the highlight). Dont remember the bathroom. But I do remember having to request extra blankets and a heater.Welp, second time around and once again the heating in that building sucks! But I didnt need extras. This kitchenette had no stove (sorta disappointing for the price.)But what I will say; the shower in this room is the best hotel shower Ive been in.. Maybe tided with another place 👀. Shower is like a suna.Id go back just for that. Lol. Silly. I know. Lol 🤷🏽♀️I took my husband here for his birthday. He enjoyed but said hed rather been somewhere else.
Stayed here for 3 nights let me give you the pros and cons:Pros- in a great location, not far from anything. Water pressure is amazing, 1 bedroom is very spacious, nice staff. They called us every morning to see if our room needed cleaning.Cons- slow elevators, the deep soaking tub is a rip off. The 1 bedroom promises a city view on their website. Nope we got a view of an office building and we were on the 18th floor. You cannot control heat/AC in your room. The AC is Turned on during the summer and the heat is turned on forFall and winter if its too cold in your room you dont have the option to turn on the heat you can only turn the unit off or make it colder. We had to call twice to have them turn The unit off because when we turned it off it was still blasting. You have to call them to open and close the window because the windows have locks and they are not easy to open. You have to call the morning of to get a late checkout until 12 and there is a $30 fee for a late check out at 1pm. I called the hotel before booking to see the difference between their executive and 1 bedroom suites. I was told some executives have tubs some have showers the website says the same. Website Pics show a deep soaking stand alone tub. I needed a tub so we opted for the 1 bedroom because it has 2 bathrooms and I thought we would get a soaking tub. Wrong, the bedroom bathroom is a shower/tub combination and the 2nd bathroom is just a shower. While I made use of the tub it was not what I expected.
Im used tonstaying in a hotel room in Manhattan that is the size of a childs closet where me and my luggage barely fit in the door. That is NOT this hotel - or at least the one we stayed at.The room we had was HUGE for Manhattan. It had 2 FULL bathrooms, living room, kitchen, microwave, fridge and even a dishwasher (if you dishes on business or vacation travel good for u! :-) The bed was a king and very comfortable. However BE WARNED this does NOT have the most up to date furniture and the TVs are small and in an awkward place. For the location, size and price it was well worth it. Other people traveling on the same trip as me stayed in a nearby hotel and the room was 1/10th size and the rate was 3x what we paid.
Excellent location, close to Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Times Square. The room was clean, although decor and amenities were somewhat dated. No complaints. Now for the downer - service. I had to catch a flight from LaGuardia and planned on taxi or ride share. A bellhop sold me hard on a fixed price ride from the hotel at an ok rate. He pointed to a nice SUV parked outside and said that was our ride. When it was time to depart, he put me in a car that would never pass muster with Uber/Lyft, and I had no time to argue. The said driver then tried to hustle me for more money at the airport, under the guise of “toll charges”. After I got to my gate, I called hotel front desk to report it, but they couldn’t be bothered. Quite an unexpected negative experience in such a hotel.
Positive: People were nice. Location was great. Negative: The room had no light, even in daylight. On the 2nd floor, I had a room with windows covered in film, so I could not look outside probably at the interior. Also I could not really control the heat in the room. It was either off or on. Uncomfortable.
The Manhattan Club Is a timeshare on 7 Ave at Carnegie Hall. I use it since 1998 with satisfaction. Location Is unbeateble and the one bedroom unit very spacious. Unfortunately 17 floor unit arent still refurbished. Gym Is reopen and ok,the 26 floor lounge has no service yet. Overall still highly recomendable.
The staff is fine neither good nor bad. Due to covid the amenities left something to be desired. My biggest issue was the room. I don’t think I got one good night of sleep the entire time we were here. To start the pillows are so uncomfortable absolutely zero support. The room itself is outdated, is clean yet feels dirty at the same time. Even though the room has an air control, it does not work, the hotel is controlled by a central unit the hotel controls. Which they must keep at 80 degrees because every night we woke up in pools of sweat. Their solution for this is to just open the window, which sounds fine but then you’re bombarded by the sound of city noise all night long while you’re trying to sleep. Overall, I cannot wait to get home and actually get some rest.
We were told when we checked in that they couldn’t give us any more bath towels because they were “all out.” The pull out bed had no linens or blankets and it took three phone calls and an hour and a half wait before we could finally get someone to bring any up. When they finally did, they just brought two flat sheets and no blankets. The shower completely soaked the entire bathroom floor any time anyone would use it, causing the floor to be very slippery. The wall sockets were connected to light switches that wouldn’t work unless overhead lights were kept on. The air in the room didn’t work. We set it to 65 when it was at 72 and it went up to 76. We ended up having to just turn it off. We had to bang on the wall and yell to our teenage neighbors to keep the noise down at 4AM. They don’t tell you about the parking situation during booking, so we ended up being charged an extra $30 by the garage across the street. It took 20 minutes to be able to take an elevator downstairs when it was time to leave because there weren’t enough of them and everyone was leaving and checking in all at the same time.Aside from the great location of this hotel, everything else was completely awful.
+nice lobby, very good location, friendly staff, inexpensive parking, spacious room. asked for a cot, we were provided, the room is equipped with a mini kitchen, a cozy room.-The heater and air conditioner did not work, the hood did not work, a very large deposit, the problem of payment with the Apple card, very noisy.
Easy check-in, and checkout process. The room was really spacious, and had all the essentials. It was perfect for a couple nights. If youre nitpicky, know that the furnishings are plain, and there might be some scratches on the walls or furniture. From what I understand the rooms arent all the same, Im happy with the one I got.5/5 fulfills basic needs. You can happily eat, sleep, and shower here.3/5 fulfills aesthetic needs. Plain, like the mid priced furniture in The Sims. Dont over think it.
We stayed about a month ago. Very convenient location, clean and friendly staff. No noise from neighboring rooms, upper floor or the halls. We were given suggestions of where we could eat and get a discount, we really enjoyed the suggestions. The housekeeping would try to enter about 2 seconds after they knocked on the door in the morning. The only thing that was really odd is that there was no lip in the shower so by the time you were finished showering, the water was all over the bathroom floor. You can easily slip and fall if you went into the bathroom unaware that basically there is a flood in there. Housekeeping provided us with lots of towels to try to combat the issue, but it didnt help much and was a terrible waste of laundry resources.
Very disappointing. Old, outdated, scratched up furniture. Wall paper peeling off the walls. Green substance at base of lamp. Only 1 lamp on the nightstand although 2 nightstands in the room. Scratches on the TV screen. No wash-clothes. A previous guest gifts left in the closet. Toddler size toilet. Temperature either gets extremely hot or once you turn off the heat, you can feel the cold air from the windows fill the room. Woke up with a soar throat. Obvious stains on carpet. Paying $54+ per day for service fee and the bed was poorly made up with a stain left on the poorly made up bed visible to see. Not up to RCI standards yet alone ours. So disappointed in this. The hotels on Groupon were far better and modern. They also require a $600 security deposit plus the $54.51 per night service fee. We are booked to stay for 7 nights and was told that if we leave, we will still be charged the $54.51 per night service fee regardless. Feeling stuck and disgusted.
I wish I could say that we have vacationed at this hotel since we technically own a timeshare in connection to it, but unfortunately we’ve never been here before. What I can speak on is our experience with Bluegreen Vacations, the company that sells timeshares and collects the property maintenance fees for Manhattan Club. Let me tell you that Bluegreen is very convincing in making a sale, and even though we told them that we could only take last minute trips and couldn’t plan in advance due to our jobs, they told us that a timeshare with them is a perfect fit… Yet every time I tried to book a vacation there was nothing available, and I was told after the fact that we should try to book at least 6 months in advance. So that was the first clear lie. When we pointed this out to Bluegreen and tried to go back to sell it or get rid of it somehow, that was very unsuccessful. And in FACT, they tried to sell us MORE points!! We’ve now been trying to get out of this contract with them for over a year. We’ve gone to the BBB to report on this, and we’ve spoken to countless reps at Bluegreen, and yet we’re still stuck with enormous debt, growing maintenance fees, and no vacations. Avoid Bluegreen at all costs, and shame on any resort or company that is associated with them.
Great spacious clean room with two closets and great valetClose to Carnegie Hall and Club and 5th Ave.But the lobby is like a confusing war room when you arrivewith poor signage as what to do to register. The bar was listed as being open on the website but it is not.The coffee in the room is terrible with no breakfast optionstherefore you must leave the hotel to find it.No newspapers available.
I checked in when I arrived to the room apparently it was not cleaned it was so dirty When I called them to clean it they sent some one to clean it she doesn’t even change the sheets I was surprised , they didn’t care about public health they didn’t care about any thing there some pictures I just took them when I arrived, If you care about your health runaway
Excellent location and GREAT team members. Everyone was so nice and helpful it really made our trip special. Do not however believe the photos on the website the rooms are old and tired and need repair, however they were very clean and they provided water bottles and filtered water and that was nice and saved money everyday. Be careful when you book to read the fine print. When I went to check out there was a $35 per day facilities fee that no one disclosed. They waived it however with any hotel bookings these days you need to watch for resort and facilities fees because they have lowered room rates to save commissions but increased daily fees.
Room 228 was fine but not perfect. Our window was at roof level of an attached building and surrounded by taller ones so our view was a vent pipe and it was hard to see any daylight...but I guess someone has to get the cruddy view. We spent most of our time out and about and this place was perfectly located just two blocks from Central Park! The room itself was spacious, clean, well air conditioned and nicely appointed. The toilet was having some problems but nothing major. All in all it was a good stay, just try to get a room above the tenth floor ;-)
The Manhattan Club has quite a convenient and pleasant location, about two blocks away from Central Park and a few more away from Times Square. The room itself was very cleanly and tidy, and the amenities provided were excellent. The service at the front desk was very kind and pleasant, checking in and out proved to be no issue whatsoever.
Our stay here was definitely the highlight of our trip! Id like to take this moment to compliment Joel, one of the gentlemen who had such an outstanding and excellent customer service. He was extremely helpful and went over beyond to help my sister. I have travelled many times and stayed in hundreds of hotels and let me tell you this by far was the best hospitality ever! I highly recommend this hotel. It was convenient to times square plaza and all other spots. Happy we stayed here.
My husband and I just finished our stay at the Manhattan Club for our first joint trip to NYC. The staff is wonderful and very nice. The rooms are clean, and the service is prompt. The location is excellent if you intend on heading South towards the WTC memorial, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island (it’s right off the 57th St. Station). It is also close in proximity to “Broadway” aka all the theatres, and Central Park. The only drawback I have is that the rooms need a little updating. The photos uploaded online do not represent all of their rooms. They are still very nice, just not as pictured.
Positive: For NYC its a massive room. Negative: Rooms do not look anything like the pictures. The last time they were updated looks to be the 90s. Furniture was worn. Housekeeping was over zealous in trying to enter room even with do not disturb sign out. $300 deposit is outrageous.
I give it a five it’s a nice resort/hotel. My stay was through a timeshare exchange on Sat, February 20, 2021 to Sat, February 27, 2021. Some of the doormen are very friendly and helpful. Checking was fast and so was check out. The Room on the 28 floor is excellent, but we have to take elevators to get to the penthouse which is clean, new and quiet. The area is close to shopping. Attractions and subway/bus. House keeping are very friendly and always asked if we wanted anything. The shower is warm, had problem with the TV setup but with a phone call to the front desk manager, it was resolved. The Room even has a computer and printer, but printer didn’t work so front desk offered to print papers for daughters school work. The room has a small refrigerator. Coffee maker but no kitchen but it’s ok we managed. The down side is the parking, it’s $35 per day unless you find a parking a few blocks away and only on the weekend have to be lucky to get a parking though.
This is the view from someone who owns here. The service is always great and they try to be COVID-19 compliant. The management here could care less about the owners. They only want to see the money. The resort HOA fee is overpriced due to its location. I have been an owner for over 10 yrs. The furniture has not changed the mattresses have not been changed so you fall into the body holes of ware and tare from all the people sleeping on them. The pillows look great and inviting when you see the bed made but when you lay on them they are flat as a pancake. You say then why are you still there I say its not because I have not been trying to sell it. Nobody wants it. I can sell it back to them but they only offer you 100.00. Maybe I should settle for that just to get out.
!!!!We had a great experience!!!!I would say thay overall we had an awesome experience. Indeed, the rooms are not as luxurious as the photos. Im thinking the vintage look is what they were going for. I appreciated the space, the couch bed and the extra full bath was a plus in the 1 bedroom studio we booked. It is a habit for me to go thru and spray rooms down with Lysol spray and clean everything so once I did that, it was good. So many people told me to expect small rooms in NY, so to get the good spacing, was great. The service was exceptional from the concierge, front desk, and security. The lobby and overall look was exceptional. Its in a great location so you were right in the midst of everything. It was clean and nice. Lastly, i left a dental device in the bathroom and I got to the airport at 515am. Their housekeeping had not arrived. Soon as the manager of housekeeping got in. They took my information and put my item in the mail immediately. Greatly appreciate them going above and beyond in service for their customers. And when my daughter accidentally brought the linen bag to the airport with us they allowed me to mail it back with no additional charge. We definitely felt at home away from home!!!! Would definitely come back!!!!
Very close to Central Park, Columbus Circle, theater district & great restaurants. Their 1 Bedroom / 2 Bath Suites are my favorites at this friendly, well managed, upscale, Hotel & Timeshare. Be prepared to have your temperature taken upon arrival, plus wear a mask in all common areas in the building at all times (strictly enforced).
We stayed here for a week during NYFW and loved it. If you like space definitely get the one bedroom suite. It has living room with kitchen and eating area. You walk into a foyer with coat closet then living area with great pull out sofa with full bathroom. The separate bedroom has king size bed another closet and master shower. Black out curtains in both rooms. Great doormen amazing location soma you things to do. We will be going backfor sure.
Decent size room nothing to get all worked up for. I didn’t appreciate the additional 300$ deposit upon check in. Upon check out the tried charging my card 104.57 & when I called in they had no clue of what I was talking about. Lol long story short unless you have money to throw away don’t bother with this place
Not worth the money or hassle for this subpar experience. My fiancé and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and were disappointed to find an outdated, dirty room. There was mold in the bathroom, peeling wallpaper everywhere, and one side of the bed was missing a night side table. The one remaining table was badly damaged. Says non smoking, but hallways smelled horribly of smoke when we arrived. No hair dryer, spare toilet paper, or hand soap were left in the bathroom. While the staff was friendly, the individual room left much to be desired. We will not be returning and would caution any potential future guests. The photos on the website do not match the actual rooms. Very disappointed.
I am BEYOND satisfied and happy! I wish I could give 10, 20, or 100 stars!!! We reserved a few rooms for our wedding a few weeks ago, and the concierge, Jerry, went above and beyond in making sure that we were taken care of. Everyone was super nice, and we really felt right at home.Thank you - thank you - thank you!!!!!!
Ill start by saying that the hotel staff is great and the lobby area is nice... My wife and I stayed In a one bedroom unit which could technically sleep 4 comfortably. The unit was extremely dated and in need of renovation. The wallpaper was starting to peel off the wall in several places, some of the furniture was noticeably worn, and the TVs were small and old. The bathroom in the bedroom looks like it had been updated, but (to tell the whole story) the sink was separating from the wall. The main restroom was dated like the rest of the room. On the plus side, the room had a mini fridge, and microwave and the overall layout was nice because it allowed me to work and make phone calls in the morning while my wife slept in the bedroom. The location was great as well. You are very close to Time Square and if you get adventurous the subway is walking distance. Additionaly, you can walk to several restaurants, there are plenty of street vendors and theres even a Starbucks near by.Pro tip: Lift is apparently cheaper in NY. We arrived in the evening and the Uber ride was estimated at $79. The same ride with Lyft was only $59. Later on our trip we tried the subway and it was fairly easy to navigate using Google Maps and it was around 2.75 per trip using Google pay.
Positive: Clean and convenient location. Negative: Small rooms, very poor air conditioning with fan requested and helping somewhat. No water available at hotel. Some staff nice, some not so much. Fitness room a joke with required masks during ALL activities. One could suffocate if running with that thing.
I booked a room from Booking.com, with a metropolitan view and breakfast. But it turns out “metropolitan view” is the name of the building wings. I stayed one night on the second floor with taped(closed) no view window. And as other reviewers mentioned before, there was no breakfast….
Stayed there a few weeks ago and I was very pleased. The room was clean, management was awesome. The doormen were friendly, the housekeepers were kind. I am going back again in a few weeks. So here are some things you should know before considering a stay at The Manhattan Club. Yes it is an older place, but that to me is what makes it so special. However as old as it is, that doesnt mean the beds or the bathrooms or the partial kitchen are old by any means. Also people should know that the city never sleeps, although around 2 to 3 am it is quiet as could be. Also, there is always construction going on in NYC....you cant avoid it so you will hear noise in the morning and possibly sometimes into the early evening hours. Maybe even an ambulance or two during the night. For me the bed was so comfortable that I slept through it all. It may help because I grew up in the city and the sounds of Manhattan is like have a white noise machine in my room. It puts me to sleep! Here are some more great things about this place. It is three blocks away from Central Park....so if you didnt sleep well during the night, bring a blanket and lay out in the park...you can snooze there! Broadway is also very close. You can head up to 8th and 9th Avenues and find some of the best places to eat, although there are so many great places to eat and drink everywhere. The best part about my trip was patronizing all the wonderful restaurants and knowing that I was doing my part to help keep the city alive and kicking. If I had to point out one thing that needs attention, I would say the windows need cleaning, but Im assuming with the city being shut down the way it was and now that it is back open and spring is in the air that will get done! Cant wait to be back again in May! Thanks for the hospitality....it was perfect.
This was our 3rd time staying here, and I can honestly say that the Manhattan Club is fantastic. Spacious, clean rooms and extremely attentive staff make for a pleasant experience. We had two minor issues when we checked in, and requested a room change (which I hate to do anytime, but particularly when the staff will have to resanitize the room....). The maintenance staff, concierge, and desk staff were all patient, helpful, and understanding. The issues were quickly addressed and we were moved to another lovely room. Once again, we have enjoyed our stay here and will continue to stay at The Manhattan Club whenever we are in town. Kudos to the professional team on duty 6/19/2020.
Place has gone down hill post-covid, management and front desk staff are super nice but bell staff was rude,, the air conditioning doesnt cool the room so it was 80 degrees in the room, the gym has a 45 minute rule (after which you get kicked out) and only 2 or 3 functioning machines, rooms were old. wouldnt stay here again
Check-in and service were good. However there is no control over room climate. For the first time in years I slept without a sheet or anything. Also the shower knob is 90% scalding hot water so dont turn it more than a quarter of the way. Other than that it was a good room. Great location.
I absolutely love this property. Rooms are spotless and spacious. Security is tight no fear of bumping into an unusual character in the hallway. Bonus each room comes with a microwave and refrigerator at no extra cost. Complimentary coffee/tea service and popcorn too. 😊
First time visitors from the UK to the US. Weve always liked to stay in nice hotels. This one was absolutely gorgeous! Amazing room, huge firm bed, 2 bathrooms (the bath was my fave, nice shape when in it) After a long day of exploring we were met with a freshly cleaned room and a much needed coffee restock. Location is 2 blocks away from Central Park, and a short walk to Times Square. The staff were friendly and helpful looking after our cases on our last day as we had a night flight. All in all an amazing stay and cant WAIT to visit here again for more exploring.
I thought this place was great! The staff there was super friendly and helpful. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready but the took our bags and parked our car for $35 per day which is a great deal. We booked through Groupon and got basic a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite for $179 for a Saturday night. The room was very clean and the bathrooms were both very nice and completely updated. The carpet in the room looked pretty new and really clean as well. With our Groupon we also got 2 vouchers for their continental breakfast where we could pick 3 items for breakfast on each voucher which was plenty of food. The fruit was very fresh that we got and the pancakes out of this automated machine were very good. We would definitely book this place again.
One of the worst hotel reservation experiences I have ever had. Do not expect any flexibility or accommodations from this hotel or reservation assistance outside of their M-F business hours. The hotel is also in need of renovation/updating. Pictures do not match the actual condition of the room.
The location is perfect. Central park is right behind you and you have to walk a little to Times Square. The staff is generally friendly. Service standards are normally limited due to Covid 19. The rooms are old but in my general experience, the sheets and towels were generally clean. Due to the constantly working general ventilation, there is a constant noise in the room. This situation didnt affect me but it might be a problem for some. Hygiene products are not offered in the room (personal hand disinfectant, mask etc.). There is only hand disinfectant in certain places.
2.5 star hotel. The location and space of the room make this hotel appealing. The room was very dated and dirty. The Kitchenette was nice to have all tho the fridge was very old and wasn’t to cold. The housekeeper opened the window when cleaning and left it open, which made me very uncomfortable because there is scaffolding outside the window for construction workers. Again, great Midtown location close to Central Park and time square.
Staying here now....The area is perfect and could of gotten 5 stars from me but then I was checked in by the rudest person Vania. I could not believe the way she spoke to me. Then we get to the room. Its cute and a bit dated and did not appreciate the wall paper coming undone 🥺
I wouldve liked to rate this at 5 Stars but I cant because of 2 reasons. This is not throwing the Hotel under the bus nor is this to try and dissuade anyone from staying here. Its a very nice place and we liked our room. The downside is that they place a $300 hold on your card for incidental charges but...theres no room service and/or any other place opwn that you can charge to your room. And I dont want to hear about room destruction because the Beastie Boys arent all living or Touring nor, do we smoke. The cute feature Mirror Tv in the bathroom was inoperable. I wouldve loved to see and/or utilize it. And finally, the Tvs are outdated with its picture quality. If you dont wear glasses now, you will after looking at that picture.Overall, it was nice and the staff is very nice too!
So my fiance and I stayed there 8/8 and the stay was nice the rooms were a little old but the staff and location were great. The price for the room was fair also. The only complaint I have and boggles my mind is why I was charged for my room, and still have pending charges for almost $900.00. Its absurd and I have never in my life had to deal with this. Its been well over a week and my money still hasnt been pug back on my card. For this alone Ill never stay here again. Holding almost 1000.00 is ridiculous esp when the gentleman at the front desk said all charges are and the pending charges would be gone and out back the day I checked out.Update. I was returned all my money and it wasnt the the Manhattan clubs fault but my banks. Im truly sorry and would like to apologize for my review.
I was very nervous about this place since there were so many mixed reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised! We were given a complimentary upgrade to the junior suite and it was great! The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom could definitely use an upgrade, it looked really worn down but overall was fine. the location is awesome!
When attending the Manhattan Food and Wine Festival when we were approached by Manhattan Club reps offering us a free visit if we were attended a 30-minute presentation, they assured us there would be no obligation to make a purchase. This could not be further from the truth! We were in that meeting for over 6 hours and only gave in and made a purchase because it was the only way they would let us leave. They told us that this was a real estate investment that would save us money on future vacations and that we could always sell it if we wanted. None of this was true. We have not received any tax benefits from this purchase, we cannot resell it or rent it out, and the cost continues to increase astronomically. We have tried to reach out to their staff to get our questions answered or resolve our issues, but their customer service is appalling. Do not do business with them!
Awesome staff, so nice and helpful. They upgraded our room for no reason, and it was a beautiful room. Spend the night before in a terrible hotel down the street, so wasnt expecting a lot. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing staff and the room condition and amenities. Would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Manhattan.
Very nice accommodations. Looks like theres some renovations planned and/or recently done on certain floors. Owners lounge was very relaxing. Staff was very helpful & pleasant. The door to our suite slams when it closes - annoying. Housekeeping was really nice and thorough. Had a pretty good stay.
Nice hotel staff was nice and friendly the room was clean nice and spacious. Was a little disappointed that check in wasn’t till 4pm and, the next morning went to get breakfast on the top floor to find out it was $20 a person for a bagel and some fruit. I assumed that after spending $300 a night that I could get the hotel to give my girlfriend and I a bagel and some juice on the house. But that’s my only two complaints. Other than that out stay was very nice the hotel is very centrally located to everything.
We stayed here the night before the NYC marathon. Our room was nicely decorated and seemed clean. While playing, our kids found a tremendous cockroach when we woke up. The hotel management didn’t respond to our call regarding this. The person I spoke to at the front desk during checkout, Esteban, (unprompted) explained all the ways the hotel could not acknowledge this problem: no parking voucher, no late checkout past noon, no adjustment to our room rate. If I stayed next time, I would have to accept the promise of the hotel somehow restoring the experience. I have to question the cleanliness and customer service practices. Won’t stay here again.
My whole family visits every year, and the 26th floor bar is an awesome spot. The bartender too is awesome! My favorite part about staying here is how comfortable the beds are. Unfortunately, i find that every year im either boiling hot or freezing cold in this hotel. The penthouse suites are amazing! Dont worry, you can count on me to be back next year!
Very nice hotel. It definitely has signs of age, like anything in NYC, but its well taken care of and clean. The staff is very nice and attentive. Especially the cleaning staff, theyre on top of things even more so than expected. They pretty much wipe down and pick up everything for you each day. I enjoyed my time there.
The place is beautiful with very clean rooms and polite employees. However, the worst elevator service. Elevators were taken out of service for at least 9 of my 10 days. With only 1 client and 1 Service elevators daily employees were getting mad clients were using their elevator. The owners lounge has decided name brand soda (Coca-Cola) is expensive and now serve a generic half sized can instead. Lets call it by its correct name ( No Top Shelf Soda allowed) Very Bad for business.
The hotel has a modest lobby. It is a big building, however, with at least 12 rooms per floor. The rooms are small suits with a basic kitchen, living room and a bedroom. They are tiny but very modern. They are comfortable and with a sense of “luxury” if not keeping into account the size of the room. The check in is at 4pm (which is already late) and the check out at 11am (which is early). The lady that cleans the rooms knocked on our door at 930 to make the room. Note that today is Sunday. All the rest, it was comfortable to stay here.Breakfast is NOT included, the night rate was 300 dols, and the parking 40 without the option of getting your car in and out.If booked in advanced, I would check other options.
Drain flies in the room and toilet!Asked twice for a solution, first time they apparently just sprayed insecticide and let them die on the towels.Second time someone came and have a look, and told us hell come back but never returned.I asked for another room and told theyre sold out. Why rent a room like this at the beginning?!I gave 2 stars for the location, and the spacious (but dated) room.
The rooms are spacious and quite beautiful. There are 26 floors with a fantastic gym at the top of making gains. Sadly there is not pool, but the hotel makes up for this by having super sweet revolving doors. Room service comes by everyday and the staff are willing to comply with customer requests.
Not my normal cup of tea. The rooms are way outdated, but clean. Service was great and helpful. Its very convenient, in the middle of Times Square and Central Park and Rockefeller Center was a 7 minute slow walk. The building is old and historical and still has some of the beautiful wood work in the lobby. The bed wasnt that comfy, but we were exhausted from all the walking around.
Great location and well appointed rooms. The hotel is quiet inside due to its mostly older clientele. The bad: the hotel has either heat or ac depending on season. When I visited in November my room was a bit warm and there was no method to resolve this. You cant really open the windows at night because the streets stay noisy until 0300.
Overall it was a pretty nice hotel, but I was expecting better for my night there. The room seemed really dark though and even having the blinds open didnt seem to help. One of the outlets was broken. But the staff seemed very nice and accommodating, and it was a clean hotel. I got the room for a pretty nice deal, but it wouldnt have been worth it at its full price.
Do not but a timeshare with this company. You cant sell it, its hard to use it, and the fees are incredible. When we bought our timeshare we were told we could sell it back and then they canceled the buyback program. Our bi-annual fees started at $1200 and are now more than $3200! It is exhausting and unfair but just think about it before you buy one. It is a nice place to stay as a hotel and I love the location, but I wouldnt want to own here if I knew what I know now. If you are looking to buy it anyway, I can sell you mine!!
Check in was a breeze. We arrived early so or room was not ready, but the bellman held our bags while we explored the city. When we came back later we just had to show ID and we were given our keys. The suite was cozy but ample for our needs. We werent cramped, but only three of us were in the room.. The suite was clean and quiet. I am happy with this place and would come back. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Definitely one of the best places to stay in Manhattan. I travel to NY a lot for work and always try to stay here since the rooms are all suites, roomy and have refrigerators and microwaves. Also, its literally across the street from Carnegie Hall and just 2 blocks from Central Park if youre going to NY for sight-seeing.
I stayed here cause of the reviews. First when we got there, no Bellman helped us. When we got checked in was told we can’t use the carts, only for bellmans. Well then there should have been someone to take care of it.The room is dated but that’s the decor. The room is large and very spacious. The gold trim is fine, just it’s all corroded. They need to replace it or fix it. The wallpaper is coming down, dings and marks everywhere. The room was clean, the tv are useless and the ac in my room never kicked on just a fan.The hotel is in an amazing location, front desk was not helpful, nor did they seem to care and go above and beyond. I stay in hotels all the time in this city and price range everyone has options. This is only 2 stars based on location
Rooms were nice but a little bit dated. There is a small kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, coffeemaker and dishwasher. Sheets smelt a little bit like vinegar. Staff was friendly and helpful especially the housekeepers. Location is very good being short walk to MoMA and central park. Many theatres and times square are also fairly close. I would recommend this place is you are looking for a room in the centre of it all and arent planning on spending too much time in the hotel.
Stayed at the Manhattan Club Hotel for a first family visit with a 21months old toddler to NYC🗽 and we were glad we did. Everything was perfect from the moment we checked in and it really started off our week-long holidays really well. From checking in with friendly staff, Ciara to bags been taken up by the most helpful and professional, Jesse we were truly impressed. Throughout our stay, we found the hotel to be very welcoming, super central to everything, extremely clean and well decorated, great amenities and all the staff were very nice and approachable at all times. Thanks to John who often helped us with directions and recommendations. We loved absolutely everything about our stay and well definitely stay here again. As I got #engaged on this trip, this means that the Manhattan Club Hotel will forever be special to us and we look forward to seeing you in 2019 (God willing).Oh forgot to mention too that despite been very central and with all the hustle and bustle outside, its very quiet and tranquil inside. Our suite had a dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave which were so handy for preparing and storing our babys food. Weve stayed in a lot of hotels around the world but this is by far the best best 4* weve ever stayed in and we truly recommend it 100% to all types of travellers. Thanks guys for the excellent service, keep up the great work because youre exceptional at what you do💞
Love this hotel and have a great time and clean, beautiful room every time I come. The desk associates are very friendly, especially Jerry. I always get an upgrade too, even when I dont ask. The bellhops and doormen are some of the best around so make sure you tip them well! Joel is my favorite, he has been there a long time and if you dont know the area ask him for tips like places to eat, we even got a discount after we told him he sent us. My parents have a timeshare here and we will never go anywhere else!
We stayed in the hotel with our two teenager grandsons for the 10 days, and it was a great experience. We had one bedroom suite on a high floor, which has a large bedroom and large living room separated by a door, and each of the rooms has its own bathroom. So both rooms enjoy their privacy. The grandsons slept on the largely opened sofa bed in the living room. The room has a kitchenette. Our deal included Grab n Go breakfast, which means that one can choose the items of the breakfast from the restaurant on the 26th floor and eat it in his room. The deal is very convenient, saving time and money. The location is great, a few minutes walk from Times Square to the south and from Central Park to the north. Many other attractions are in a walking distance from the hotel. The subway station is just around the corner. There are many restaurants in the area,The service and housekeeping were very helpful and efficient.
Ive been there a few times and stayed at various hotels. Highly recommended for the location alone. The amenities in the room were great. The staff is always very friendly and eager to help. We did get our moneys worth as far as rate goes. I would stay again in a heart beat.
Our second trip to this location. Rooms are nice and clean. We have stayed both trips in the Metro suite. Little kitchen nook, with microwave, small fridge, not so nice coffee maker. Small kitchen sink, nice plastic if plastic can be nice, bowls and cups. Works no more than we are in the room, but love to have real coffee cups in the morning. Nice bathroom with large shower only. Queen size bed, small size which is comfy. Good closet for two. Quite rooms, you don’t hear the neighbors. We arrived at 3pm check in is not until 4pm, ran out has a late lunch. My only complaint 4pm room not ready...the lady Viana at the front desk, was not so nice. She said “your rooms not ready” well ok..I ask will you let me know? Her response “yes” 430 I walked back up to the counter, her response oh it’s ready now. Really everyone has a bad day, but everyone else has been amazing, smiles and very helpful.
I stayed here with my mum for 7 nights, as part of a RCI exchange. I was extremely apprehensive about the stay because of all the negative reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised on all levels. The location was excellent, the staff seemed pleasant and helpful at all times, but most of all our apartment was excellent. Clean, modern, spacious and daily room service. On the one occasion I had to contact the front desk regarding resetting the safe code, some one was there within minutes. All I can say to future guests is, dont believe all the negative comments, I dont think the Manhattan Club deserves it
Enjoyed 5 days here at the Manhattan Club, and was very pleased with my experience. This was my first trip to New York City, and the staff was very helpful in suggesting the best places to go and most efficient way to get there. Its also located very close to many of the main attractions nearby, so its very convenient. Every one of the staff I encountered were very friendly and went above and beyond. The room was nice and clean, and fairly large. The lounge area is beautiful--nice atmosphere, quiet, sophisticated, and the view is lovely. Would love to stay here again next time Im in the city.
It goes by park central hotel now. Great customer service. A very morden hotel, well decorated with key room cards to access the elevator. The room and bathroom were of great size with a nice view. Wide window and a very clean room & bathroom. However, the hallway was smelling marijuana. My guess someone was either smoking it in their room or the staircase. We reported it on our way to dinner but it was as if they did not because the smell was still there when we returned.
Out of the nearby Marriott or here I would pick here ! They upgraded me 3 times that I stayed there to wonderful rooms . They felt so homey but at the same time classy and each room had an individual feel to it . The baths ... just heaven !!! You ll know what I mean when you get there . What a treat to stay there . Next door literally to fifth avenue theater which is also a must do when you are in Seattle !
How is it in this day and age a hotel in the greatest city in the world doesn’t have the ability to control the temperature in a room? Happened to be a warm winter day and the room was sweltering. Called down to maintenance and their only solution was to send up a fan, since the a/c doesn’t work in winter months. Even with the fan the room was hot as hell. Nothing better that tossing and turning all night in a pool of sweat 👍🏻 ( yes this statement is “dripping” with sarcasm - pun intended ).
Best experience Ive ever had at a hotel in my life. My mom, my sister and I stayed for a girls trip during the week. We are just average people, not rich and not poor and we were treated as if we had 100 bills falling out of our pockets. The staff went above and beyond to meet our every need regardless of how big or how small the request. Every staff member (housekeeping, front desk, concierge, security, baggage etc....) that we interacted with were gracious, giving and had such warm smiles. It was my first visit to NYC and I will come back to this hotel in a heartbeat. It seems as if this hotel loves its employees and they in turn love their jobs. Great Great Great!! Yall rock!!
The location is phenomenal. Close to transit and Central Park which lots of decent food near by. Room is very large for Manhattan which is nice. That said the thermostats are very old in the room and it doesnt get cool enough with the AC going full blast. Decor is absolutely ancient and a lot of communications dont work correctly. Constant 403 errors on wifi and phones that dont work. This hotel stay was chosen and paid for by another party, I would probably choose elsewhere as theres better comforts at hotels with equally nice locations
I havent visited NYC in ten years, and my husband had never been, so Id be lying if I said I wasnt slightly nervous bringing our three-month-old and two and three-year-olds. Location? AMAZING! We couldnt have stayed in a better spot.. two blocks to Central Park, a few blocks from Times Square, and around the corner from the subway.. perfect location. We arrived before check-in and were able to store our bags until the room was ready. After walking all over the aforementioned and to the Empire State Building our first day, we had an amazing nights sleep in our king bed. The pullout wasnt nearly as comfortable, but our kids are too little to know! For midtown Manhattan, the size of the room was amazing.. a full bathroom, kitchenette (with a dishwasher!) and living room area with doors that closed off to the bedroom with two closets and a second bathroom. Some updates had been done to the room in a fairly cheap manner, which was funny considering the marble in the bathroom and other nice upgrades, but it was clean (besides the windows, which had scaffolding outside so not much you can do about that) and bright. The doormen are what made our visit over the top! Joel was THE MAN, offering suggestions and tips to help us get places (with the kids) not as easy to travel to via foot on a day it was pouring, as well as another gentleman with a shaved head (cant believe I cant remember his name, but he talked sports with my husband everytime we saw him) and Ismael. They were so kind to our children, remembered what wed done the day before when we were looking for ideas for the next day. Obviously the city is awesome, but those guys really made our visit! Were already planning to book a trip back later this year!
Check in and out were very smooth and even though we got there a little early they let us check our bags. Rooms were good size, comfortable bedding and nice bathroom. There are some small maintenance things that could be improved, wallpaper, shower fittings etc but overall it wasnt that big of a deal. Very convenient location to Carnegie Hall, Central Park and Times Square.
My family has been owners for over 10 years. Im actually mid-stay with my boyfriend. Last night, upon checking in I asked for my bags I had previously dropped off to be brought up to my room. I immediately went in the shower after a long day and assumed theyd just leave the bags in the door way. Long story short, they didnt. The man who called my room line to see if I was now ready for the bags was short with me, and the bell man who brought them up was incredibly rude to the point I was unnerved. He placed my bags down, I warmly thanked him, and he glared at me so angrily and left without saying a word. I was completely flabbergasted. To think I was reaching for a tip while he did that, clearly I didnt feel comfortable giving it after that point. Later on the night, as we were sleeping at 2:30AM, our room phone starts loudly ringing and theres random music on the other line and then the line goes dead. Not sure whats up, but we have noticed a marked decrease in hospitality over the years, with this current visit starting off really rough. Not pleased.Edit: As you can see below, I was promised a follow up and never received one.
Very nice. Great location. Near everything. The staff was extremely helpful with everything from taking the luggage to the room to parking our car. There was complimentary refreshments in the morning and afternoon. All rooms have kitchens including refrigerators and micro waves.
It was fun and comfortable, but they got you with a surprise $50/day fee when you check in. Also, continental breakfast is extra again in the morning, I dont know if its worth it cause I just ran around the corner for a sandwich and coffee for half the price. And theres no pool. Tvs were pretty small for the price of the room. Overall, it was good for an overnight stay in the city though.
Great location, very spacious but outdated with old musky smell. The reception staff, especially James, were rude with no customerservice skills.FYI - Breakfast included in the voucher was a grab and go which meant selecting 3 items from the buffet and packing them in plastic containers, which created so much rubbish and ultimately additional landfill simply because staff cant wash an extra plate or two. You are not permitted to eat in the public lounge / dining room but must eat in your room or in the park which was rudely suggested by James at reception when I queried the breakfast package.
The location of the hotel was not a problem. I would not hesitate to book another room here again. Great location with easy access to all the city has to offer. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to help us. The wo*** who checked me out was less than pleasant.
Manhattan Club feels like home. I love hotels that feels homey. I really felt like its the essence of NY. The fitness center is accessible, clean and well maintained which I appreciate a lot in most hotels. The service was good. Everyone greeted me when I went there. The location is unbeatable too.
Room was nice and clean, the doorman was great BUT you are on the same air/heat as everyone else. You have no control if you want your room cool or warm. After I complained about how hot the room was I was told to open a window! Seriously!!God forbid if you want just coffee and a croissant, you will pay $13.00.The concierge was very matter of fact. He helped but didnt go out of his way for anything extra. My sister, mother and I have all agreed we would never stay here again.
My husband and I stayed with my parents in a junior suite for one night. The location is excellent: Times Square is a pleasant few blocks away, as is a Subway stop. The rooms are nice and have a mini fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and place settings in the small kitchenette area. There is a queen bed, plus pull-out couch that is reasonably comfortable. There are some available 110v standard US plugs, though more would be nice. Overall, an excellent place to stay in NYC.
Ive attended several events here in the past and their ballrooms are spacious and impeccably decorated. The entry staff is also courteous but keep in mind they strongly enforce the dress code. Though the lobby is quite large, it is not really encouraged to hang out in the area so make sure you plan the timing of meeting up with people here. I dont know if the light bites passed around at the events were catered by the Club, but they were passable.
The room was fantastic and I loved staying there. The only complaint I had was the $20 breakfast was no more than coffee and donuts. Seemed a bit lackluster. We got the breakfast for free so it didnt hurt but I expected a bit more. Overall I loved the place and would go again!
Great place. Nice service. I had dinner here and it was tasty. Perfectly located and convenient to everthing in NYC. It has style and class. I would recommend it. Enjoy! Be prepared to spend. Great for a date. This is a swanky place to have cocktails and to stay for the evening. If youre rich you will enjoy it. Good atmosphere!
Beautiful hotel and owners club bar. Be wary of the cost of drinks. Beer selection is limited and the draft size is at best 12oz. Wine runs you about $17 a glass and the bartender barely knows what varietals he has and definitely doesnt know the vintage or origin. Overall expect to pay as much as you would for a grocery store quality bottle of wine and get a glass.
Lil hidden gem in the city. Nice spot. In the middle of the city great accommodations. Spacious rooms. Only down side to the luxury is Dont offer room service though. TV could use a lil upgrade. At least room I occupied Yeh they are flat screen but jus mere bigger than computer monitor... continental bkfst is ok. (Suggest they do it for free other local hotels have same set up for free paying less for room) hotel staff are great. Checkin was fast easy , nice bar lounge excellent drinks, very spacious and a decent fitness center. This is a truly a hidden city gem. I would be back again.
The first room we got was on a floor without wifi and continual requests didnt achieve much until they changed the room to a floor with wifi. The moral of this story is that there are rooms and there are rooms, the one you get might not necessarily be the room you pay for because the room we eventually got was so much better even though its in the same class of room.To be honest, the original room wasnt all that bad, but it annoys me that there are better rooms we could get. I guess that hotels can be fickle when allocating rooms and foreigners seem to come last as well as those who use travel wholesalers. My only suggestion here is to book with the place directly to get what you want. Its certainly a very good hotel to stay in exactly the right place for any activity in New York. I would definitely stay there again.
EDIT: I was pleasantly surprised the the managment reached out to me an appologized and credited us for the meals wed paid for. I leave the review below in its entirety becuse I do think the front office staff could have corrected this issue right away and improved our stay at the time. I would consider staying there again knowing that they did the right thing in the end. If this had never happened I would have given them a 4 star rating, deducting a star for the age of the rooms and the slowness of the elevators, so I have changed to 4 star...they did not ask me to do so.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Disappointed by the bait and switch tactics of the hotel. Sought out and paid extra for a package that included continental breakfast (it said as much on our printed confirmation) only to be informed upon arrival that we werent getting the continential breakfast but rather a grab and go breakfast to bring back to the room. This would have been adequate, except that our room didnt actually have enough chairs for all of us. We were informed that we could pay the full price of the continential breakfast if we wanted to (not even the incrimental cost) despite already having paid for it in full. This set the hotel back a long way in my book and I would likely never stay again knowing that what you book is not necessarily what you get, perhaps on an even more importnat issue in the future.Otherwise, the location is convenient to both southern central park and broadway theaters. The rooms themsleves are dated and in desperate need of updating, though the baths appeared to have been updated more recently and our room was handicapped accessable. The elevators were VERY slow, but there is a service elevator you can use. Valet parking was particuarly convenient. For the price the room and location was fine, but given the bait-and-switch, there are many many better places in NYC.
Dont buy a timeshare here. The oversold the place and reservations have to be made nine months in advance. They have not done a good job of keeping the rooms updated. The maintenance fees are escalating every year and are over $3000 for a week in a one bedroom suite.
Would stay here again in the near future. We were in a great location. Furnishings were new. Reasonably quiet location with local shops nearby. The couch was easy to sleep on. Extremely close to time square and 5th Avenue. Good external sound proofing -- did not hear traffic from roads.
Was so happy to be surprising my friend with a great 2 night birthday celebration. The room was soooo hot I called down to desk. They sent someone up he said it was placed on nutral the whole building was controlled by them!! Not good . Spoke to other guest they said the same. Had to sleep with Windows open and they brought a fan. Made it noisey. 2 nights 10,000 points I would expect more.
Perfect holiday stay! Family of 4 stayed in a city light suite room # 205. Everything was perfection! Suite size perfect for family! Coffee station upstairs with cookies a treat. Clean linens & room, comfortable bed(king sized & pull out couch also believe it or not comfortable). Kitchenette a plus (microwave, small fridge, utensils, dish washer). Closets perfect for coats, clothing, & luggage. Bathroom huge (much larger than most in NYC hotels )Shower great water pressure & warm-hot water. Location close to everything. Front desk, house cleaning, door men awesome! We will no longer have to shop around for hotels when traveling to NYC, this is our new & only spot. What a jewel! Thank You TMH

2022-06-15The rooms are a little dated, but it is clean, conveniently located, and the staff and concierge are friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to do business with. The absolute highlight of our stay was meeting our housekeeper, Judy. You couldn’t possibly ask for a sweeter, friendlier, or over all lovely person. My husband and I had the best time speaking with her when she came to clean our room. She was an absolute gem. She made sure we had plenty of coffee, towels, and always offered to assist me (I use a wheelchair) if my husband wasn’t in the room.I do wish the water was a tad hotter in the bathrooms, and a full length mirror and bathrobes would have been a plus, but overall, we were very pleased with our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks so much for helping make our stay a pleasant one.

2022-05-03The room gets 4 stars because I paid for a King size bed suite and got a Queen size bed suite. The good thing about the suite > it was clean, had 2 full bathrooms, and a kitchenette. Plenty of storage space. The only thing missing, service wise, was there was no follow up on their end to make sure you werent in need of anything. Location was perfect. Walking distance to Central Park, Broadway, and Times Square. Great eateries within walking distance.

2022-02-28Great hotel in a great location. It only took 14 minutes to walk to the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is the bellhop, Ismael, who was a weird and rude employee. I had simply gone up to you and asked you, Oh, Im sorry, is this where I can check in my bags? You immediately glared at me, said, Yes, and proceeded to stand there doing nothing. I wasnt quite sure if you were being sarcastic and I was confused when I tried handing my things and you didnt even bother to take it or give me a tag. If I had offended you in anyway, I apologize, and I wish you were vocal if I did something wrong like asking you if you were the correct person to check in my bags. I thought you had a bad day, but you greeted the other guests just fine. Also, the next day, I checked in my bags again and you blatantly ignored me! I didnt say anything because I didnt want to get on your bad side. Fortunately, the other guests, whom you greeted after you turned away from me, pointed to me that I was there first. You didnt greet me, just took my things without saying a word, and immediately greeted the other guests with warmth.Ismael, you made me feel uncomfortable. What did I do? Did I remind you of an ex? Was it my bad haircut? I complained to my stylist and they couldnt fix it. I wanted to tip you, but oh my god, you were horrible. Stop being weird!

2022-04-15The location is great ! Just a couple blocks away from Central Park so my husband enjoyed the morning run. Good distance to theaters by foot and by subway. The staff is friendly. The room was so warm and stuffy and the temperature control didnt work. My big complaining issue is their Hospitality Fee which is $50/ night including tax and they dont even come room cleaning every day. I understand their Green Policy which they only change towels on the floor and dont change sheets. But dont even empty trash cans and I had to see wet towels on the floor which they did not pick up. 2 years ago when we stayed in the same place they had the Green Policy but at least they picked up towels from the floor and emptied cans. Could have called the front desk but we came back the evening and didnt feel like bothering. Still feel like ripped off. Room#2206

2022-05-18Seems to be located in a good area and the staff was excellent, very friendly, personable and professional. Our only issues were that the room was hot even though we turned the heat all the way down, so we opened the windows, just a crack and of course we could hear someone screaming loudly down below which lasted quite awhile (NYC Charm) and finally got to sleep!! We got a good price through TravelZoo and overall was a good choice.

2022-03-29Positive: Very nice hotel in great area. Rooms are big for manhattan, well appointed and very modern and clean. Staff was so friendly and helpful! Would love to stay here again! Negative: Only complaint is that it was really warm in the room and we couldnt change the temperature.

2022-07-05Nice place and close to park and Times square. However, be aware of the secret and pricey daily resort fee they charge when you check-in just because they can. Why do I say just because....there is no pool, spa, rec rooms or other amenities whatsoever. So, you pay extra for a resort fee, yet there are no typical resort amenities available.

2022-07-05Friendly staff, very helpful. The location is perfect for families with babies: on a side, 15min walk to the central park while on the opposite side you will find the times square by 10min by walk.Rooms are spacious and cleaned, but the carpet is the problem for those who have some allergies!
