$151 plus tip for two. Complete waste of money . Beef was dry and I asked for a fresh piece- was still dry from the same carving station. Shrimp was tough, obviously old. Cannoli was sour evidently out too long with proper refrigeration. Limited menu. Sloppy no crust cheese cake. Yikes! Watered down mimosa. What happened to this place?
The hostess is a total joke. Has a hard time accommodating 2 people in the main dinning room when it wasn’t even crowded. Do not waste your money eating here. Brunch food was totally mediocre and your paying over $60 a person. The atmosphere and nice waitress we had was the only saving grace. Total rip-off for food or catering events. Save your money, this place isn’t what it used to be
Great family friendly place, good food, fun atmosphere. We have spent many holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter at this spot for their buffets. The price is right for what you get. The holiday buffets have a good variety and there is something for everyone and thats why we typically go there.
Went for mother’s day and so disappointing. Food was not what it use to be. We did buffet and it was not appetizing or tasty at all. We spent a lot of money not to be satisfied. Sad to say we will not be going again. On a positive note the wait staff was hard working attentive and very friendly.
I went to a couples event that had an intimate setting so I’ll break this review down into ambiance, food, and service.Ambiance Inside Room 2/5The decor inside the room we dined was mediocre. The tables decor was basic and minimal.Ambiance in the Common Areas 4/5Mileridge has a rustic and historic theme throughout the building from the photos on the wall, the hardwood floors and the bars. They do have updated recessed lighting so it is a good mix of historic and modern updates.Food 3/5I had the salmon dinner, the salmon had minimal flavor. The portion was acceptable but the taste lack luster.Service 5/5The service was excellent our server staff were pleasant, friendly and attentive to us.OverallFor my taste if you are looking to have an upscale event the ambiance and atmosphere may not be up to par. For a simple event or dinner party Mileridge may be acceptable.
DON’T BOOK AN EVENT AT THE MILLERIDGE INN, JERICHO, NYThe surprise party planned for my husband turned into an igloo party. It was 20°F and windy outside. In the room it was barely 61°F with the heat on. Apparently the broken fireplace flue (which they knew about before the party started) filled the room with cold wind so friends sitting by the fireplace were freezing. The menu cards were missing from the table and to finish the night, a lopsided birthday cake made in their own bakery was served. The banquet person I set up the party with, Amanda, was never to be seen again after I paid in cash. Then the day of the party I was calling to add 2 more people for the party and she was nowhere to be found. I finally found Adam and he added the people. When I went back after the party she was not there again so we told Adam what had happened and he said he would call back in a couple of days after he checked on what happened. We called him 6 days later. He told us he had to send it to corporate and they would get back to me. Days later, an unprofessional corporate person from the Dover Group named Elizabeth (no last name given to us nor would she give us the owners information) told me that it was my responsibility to have requested a room change during the party, really? They knew the flue was broken and it was cold but somehow it was my fault for not asking a room change? Elizabeth took no responsibility whatsoever for what went wrong nor did she apologize. When asked about the missing menu cards as per the contract, no reply. Same response when i asked her what the 2% administrative fee was for. She was so nasty and rude and should not be dealing with the customers. The wait staff and the restaurant manager Freddy were professional and very friendly. Freddy gave me brunch for 2 for the horrific cake that should never have been sent from their bakery to be served. Yet, Elizabeth told us the brunches were given as compensation for the party not just the cake and thats it- almost implying I was not being truthful. Thats not what Freddy told us. Have your party elsewhere; youll save the 2% administration fee, headaches and lies. Apparently Dover Group must not care about good customer satisfaction if they have people like Elizabeth there. Not even an apology, WOW!!
Horrible breakfast with the Easter Bunny. DEFINITELY not worth the $50 PER ADULT and $25 PER CHILD over 2. Easter bunny up front to take your own picture. Food served included buffet with desserts, fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, bagels, juices, waffles/French toast sticks (likely frozen), scrambled eggs, home fries, quiche, sausage and bacon - nothing more. Many of the plates near the buffet and cups/silverware on the table were dirty. Save your money. Go to Burger King for breakfast and see the Easter Bunny at the mall. Funniest part is their advertisement for the event shows a really nice looking Easter bunny pancake- don’t expect to see anything close to it at this Breakfast.
I took my family for Brunch with Santa. I was very disappointed. The food was like a hotel breakfast. No baked goods from the bakery, just pastries you get at any fast food breakfast. French toast sticks, waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage. How about an omelet station, fresh bagels or home baked cupcakes. It definitely was not worth the price. We had our daughters wedding there in 2019 and it was excellent! This brunch was a disaster!
I went to this place for my cousins baby shower. The baby shower was during the month of December so everything was decorated beautifully. It was really crowded with people waiting for tables to have lunch or celebrate whatever occasion they were celebrating. I arrived at 2pm and was shown to the room where the baby shower was being held. There was a little bit of an issue with staff sending guests to the wrong room and my cousin had to go to the front and remind them what room they needed to send the guests too. Apparently even after my cousin informed them they still kept doing the same thing. The decor of the place is absolutely beautiful I have to say. At exactly 2 pm they started bringing the salad out. On the table was one plate with cinnamon bread, some muffins and a few fruit tarts. There was a bowl out butter packets as well. The menu was on the table at each place setting. I opted for the steak as my choice. The bar was open bar on wine, beer and mimosas and soda. The reason why Im giving only 3 stars is because after a while we were hungry after the salad and asked for bread and the server said she would ask. She came back after 10 minutes saying there is no more. I was a bit annoyed because what establishment doesnt put bread on the table? We waited for the food to arrive and when it did it was actually very tasty and the meat was cooked to the perfect temptation thankfully- because skirt steak can be tough if overcooked. When we were eating I noticed my uncle asked for bread as well and Im guessing they told him the same thing. Dessert was cake that had a chocolate cream inside and they also served coffee. My aunt asked for tea and they never brought it out.It was really nice to get together with family in such a pretty place.
Absolutely horrible all around. It was some of the nastiest food the table has ever had. Everything was dry, bland, and drenched in sauce. The service was not much better. We were rushed from the start. Entrees came out before apps were done. The waitress asked us about dessert while we were still eating our entrees. After I ate I ran to the restroom and the waitress was waiting for me near the bathroom to ask me what I wanted for dessert because she took the rest of the tables order while i was gone. Are you serious? The dessert came out and they started to shut the lights out. I was in the restaurant business for almost 10 years and Ive never seen anything like this in my life. Rude and disgusting. We spent almost $600 and had a horrible time. I would of had a better time at McDonalds. Also it was my grandmas 92nd birthday and this used to be one of her favorite places back in the day so she wanted us all to come here. She was literally crying how embarrassed she was that she had all of us come and spend our money and time at this dump.
It was my first time coming here. I came with my kids we met up with friends for a Easter bunny brunch. We really enjoyed our selves but I thought it was too expensive just for food. They didnt have any activities included in the fee with the brunch. All the activities were outside in the cold and you had to pay more!
My 78 year old mother took her two friends for lunch today because she had received a gift card to go there when my Dad passed away last year. When the bill came, the manager said they would not accept the gift card because the ownership had changed hands. There is no expiration date on the gift card and when a company buys another company, it usually assumes all debts. The Milleridge has steadily gone down in both service and food quality over the years but for nostalgia purposes, my family and I would still go there for dinner. After this incident, I will never go back and I hope this review prevents others from doing the same. What was supposed to be a nice lunch with her friends turned out to be a despicable action on the part of the Milleridge.
Very disappointed for my birthday dinner last night. First I had made reservations two weeks in advance. They sat us right in the path of everyone walking and waiters carrying food. The dining room was open so I asked to please move us, which they did. Then my dinner and my friend, which we got the same, roasted chicken, was so dry. Lastly, my Mom had requested a piece of cake with a candle to sing to me. Unfortunately, my Mom and her aide was in the bathroom and our waiter still brought the cake out. Well, we did not get to sing. The entire evening was not good. I’m extremely disappointed. We drove 45 minutes to come to you and that’s what was had.
Went last Sunday 12/5/21, we had reservations for 4:30, didnt get seated until almost 5:30, atmosphere was good. Most people at the table enjoyed their meal. My lamb shank was very good. I also ordered a Guinness and came out in a water glass, next one I asked for it in a pint glass and it was 1/2 foam. Dont offer a beer if you dont know how to pour it correctly. Overall we had a good time. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly.
This review is for The Milleridge Inn bakery. Very odd school and fun to visit. Friendly service. Mix of pastries, cheese cake, cakes, cookies, brownies & cupcakes. Lets face it this place has been around a long time according to other reviews, and deserves a star just for that. Purchased two small cake squares which were 4.50 each! Expensive. They were picked by a guest who I was visiting. Nothing else is opened at this time so there wasnt much to do. Looks like they have a brawly guy walking around watching the area and you!, lol! $$
The village was cute and festive; the prices in the general store were a little pricey. Cocktails NYC prices and were just so-so. The meals were sub-par. The pot roast was very overcooked; it was like eating tires. I sent it back; the carrots were undercooked. The meals for other diners were also under seasoned or over cooked. It was much better under the previous management. Our served was delightful and very professional.
On 04/17 -Easter Dinner /Egg Hunt expirence.. Very disappointed.. our 3rd time this year... We came with our 7 yrs old daughter to start the egg hunting as advertised at 230 pm and we missed it because it was done within 5 minutes at 235 pm.. We were informed by a rude staff that they decided to have it together with the younger kids.. not as advertised and the event left a lot of disappointed kids and parents, then dinner at 330 pm at the Inn.. Disappointment #2.. for $67.95 per person. Burned /dried chicken with no flavor , ham w pineapple, chicken nuggets for kids.. the menu variety could have been better .. No worth the price.. We had 2 previous good visits... contemplating if worth trying for a number 4th. So sad 😞 😔 .. No even music n the back ground to cheer the crowd or the kids, since is an Easter dinner celebration.. no one bother to check if the food was good, even after we send most of it back.. no a good expirence.
Horrible Breakfast with Easter Bunny! Save your money! Cancel - they won’t refund you but will give you a gift card. Use the gift card to eat in the restaurant. They have an Easter village and you can pay for an Easter bunny picture. Prob wayyyy better than the horrendous fast food quality items served at $50 pp! Never again!
Awful!!!!!! Food was inedible! Steak sandwich with onionsOnions came out not sliced chunks uncooked onions meat taste awful. Could not eat. Then waitress double charge my card after I left. I called three times to straighten it out with the management I’ve yet to hear back from them. Beware
Have not been to MR inn in 20 years was back visiting family and we decided to go there, Huge mistake service was terrible, he spilt waiter on my cousins wife did not even flinch, food was terrible Salmon was fishy tasting, braised beef eas dry and the lamb osco boco was actually nothing more then a very tough lamb shank. Add in how expensive and you have a trifecta of BAD. Never going back oh the dessert was good most likely brought in
Very nasty when I called today to make reservations for St Patrick Day . The woman who makes the reservations (Lizy) was nasty and quite abrupt. I was rudely disconnected which she probably hung up on me in mid sentence! I called back to change my reservation to another day since they couldnt accommodate me for the time I wanted. This lady Lizy then became again very nasty and abrupt since I changed my day and hung up again on me. This woman should be fired . Not a good HR person very disrespectful. I heard that this was not the first time with Liz. In reading other reviews her name has come up quite frequently. I will speak to the manager in person concerning her rudeness and nasty personality when speaking to people.
Loved this place as Christmas. Went with the family for a very americana christmas. They had christmas carolers, beautiful decorations and a nice menu. You have to get the cinnamon bread for the table. Also the Christmas village is a great way to spend some time as well before you eat.
Bruce and Kathy are amazing! A truly wonderful venue. Thank you for making our event a reality. Our sons Bar Mitzvah and daughters Bas Mitzvah were Kosher catered here. We are looking forward to many more wonderful occasions at the Cottage at the Milleridge. Highest recommendation.
We were doing really well. The Village is all decorated for the season and beautiful. Stopped in the Candy Store and bought candy. What used to be called penny candy; taffy, mints, malt balls, all old style individually wrapped candies. There were small paper bags to collect it in, so I guessed it would be paid by weight. No way! They spill the bag on the counter and add it individually. Two small bags of small pieces of candy cost 27 dollars! Yikes. It doesnt stop there. It gets worse. We went to see a drive-in movie, so I parked in the lot to get a space and my wife and daughter went to order the food (could buy food when purchasing tickets, 25-50-75 bucks). It took a whopping 55 minutes after the order to get the food. They missed half the movie. Worse still, they got my daughters order wrong. She couldnt eat, and we had to stop on the way home. What a fiasco. Never again.
Food was decent. Long wait for the waitress to attend our table to clear plates for brunch/get check, but they seemed pretty busy. When we asked a young man who walked by for our check because our waitress was nowhere to be found for 30 minutes, he said not my job and continued on his way to serve at the buffet! Absolutely rude.Usually if you ask another worker, they reply with let me find your waitress or Ill let your waitress know. NEVER in my life have I been replied to with not my job.
Holiday family gathering at The Milleridge Inn. The atmosphere was festive and delightful. Loved the carolers! Service was wonderful as well! Staff very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing - not the standard one would expect at The Milleridge Inn. Management was very accommodating in terms of offering alternatives. Would give a 5+ star rating for service but not for food.
Had dinner here after the light show at Westbury Gardens on a Saturday night. The Christmas Village out back is huge and has something for everyone. Little shops, a holiday haunted house carolers and characters and more. They have a very large parking lot which was packed but they had security directing and controlling traffic in and out. This was very well organized. We had a 7PM reservation and we were seated on time. The restaurant is massive and every table was full. In spite of this, the waiter came over within a few minutes, got us settled in with some drinks and an amazing loaf of cinnamon bread. The food was hot and delicious, the prices were very reasonable and its a very nice place with a down home country inn type feel to it. We will definitely be back! Try the Italian popcorn, the chicken pot pie and the Sauerbraten. All are amazing!
Went for our annual Christmas trip with the women in our family this past Sunday and had an awful experience. 2 of our family members are vegan and can only eat a very rare selection of what is offered from the Brunch menu, however when we arrived at the Milleridge with our reservation we were informed that no other menu was being offered just the $70 Brunch. For our family members who are vegan and can eat only a few items, there were no accommodations offered and when asked if anything could be done, we were approached with attitude. The waiter said “They called everyone to let them know we were serving Brunch only. You must have not left a phone number with the reservation.” We most certainly have a phone number attached to the reservation but was never notified of anything. We left and did not eat there. We then proceeded to walk around the village to see if we could salvage any positive memories we used to have there and one of our family members went to go get some alcohol from the Wine tent and the bartender was so rude there too. All of the staff seemed to hate their job. Overall disappointed with our experience.
Wonderful night out.Our family celebrated a belated Mothers Day and our 6th wedding anniversary. The price fix menu had a variety of choices and our meals we hearty - we all took boxes home. The choices for dessert were yummy. We enjoyed watching the kids in the pumpkin patch and on the haunted train ride but the topper of the night was watching the sunset on the maple trees showing their fall foliage.
What I like about the Milleridge Inn is the history and the fact that you can sit in the dining room with a group of friends and have a discussion without the noise you get in other trendy restaurants. While our dinners were very good with generous portions we were disappointed that the prix fix menu isnt available on weekends while the website doesnt specify that. BTW, our server was wonderful, patient and pleasant. Yes we did have to wait a bit for our dinners, but not an hour. I would return during the week for the prix fix menui which is an incredible value.
I went to The Cottage at Milleridge Inn for their annual Thanksgiving dinner buffet. Lotsa families. Youngsters, oldsters, strollers, canes, walkers... An age-diverse crowd. Milleridge did a nice job of making it a party. They had a crew making balloon animals and another crew doing face painting. There were mass quantities of a wide variety of the foods that are traditional at Thanksgiving time and they did a good job of refreshing the trays as an item got depleted. The food was plentiful and it was good, but it wasnt outstandingly great. Catering hall quality. Tables were a bit more crowded than Id have liked. No live music. But I went home happy. Stuffed and ready for a long nap. Post prandial hibernation.
Went to the Milleridge Inn with my family for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a great dinner. The food was delicious, the service was very welcoming. Eventhough it was a holiday, we never felt rushed. After dinner, we walked around the Milleridge Shops. The children had a very good time. Lots of opportunities for holiday photos.
Terrible service, Understaffed for the amount of people that were there. The staff was running around like chickens without heads. The $55.00 steak was tough as could be, very disappointing. The vegetables were good. The steak was really extremely tough. They couldnt find the Birthday cake that had been ordered. It was not a good visit...
Well I always wanted to try a Golden Corral and tonight I came very close at the Milleridge Inn. So for $136.00 dollars per couple I could have below average seafood complete with stuffed farm raised tilapia with no crab meat in it. I wonder if they buy it at Costco. How do you not have a salmon or fillet is beyond me at this price point Included in this buffetI was so disappointed in the Milleridge Inn tonight.I really wanted to end the season with a nice meal on New Year’s Day however this was anything but. The only thing I enjoyed was the Caesar salad and from the carving station the fresh turkey. Staff was attentive and the girls making the rounds singing were sweet. Deserts I tried had absolutely no taste do they really have a bakery on location. I’ve had better deserts at a Dunkin’ Donuts outside the tri-state area. So I guess to summit up I really paid for the ambience and Christmas lights because it certainly wasn’t for the food.
Omg we had 7 pm reservations and were told that they didn’t want to overwork there waiters so we would be waiting for a table for possible an hour. There were about 1/2 the tables empty. Assumed no staff, waited 1/2 hour with 5 groups ahead of us so no end in site. Made a reservation somewhere else and left. I went to tell the hostess and she was giving same info about wait to next group. When a woman asked to speak to manager about the fact they were seated 1 hour ago to no service not even water horrible. Heard this but last year was no problem. Felt bad for hostess. Should have had manager at front handling customers. Worst will not return. Better management needed
The Milleridge Inn has been around since 1672, and it has an old time charm and feel to go with it. The food has a old timey feel to it as well. The cinnamon bread is excellent and so is the service, the seafood risotto was good and the burrata salad was fine. My kids were not thrilled with the ham stuffed chicken, the flavor profile was old timey, so it did not appeal to them even though it was prepared properly. The place was packed for holiday lunch and the service was good, the Christmas carolers took requests and were able to perform “carol of the bells”. Overall a good place but i wish they had more options for vegetarians, and slightly more current options on the menu.
It was sooo busy when we went, and it was understaffed. Silvia was polite, professional, amazing. All the staff were polite, helpful. Our Hostess was lovely, helpful. She literally was on the run the whole time we were there. AND of course the food was deliciosa. Beef, vegetables, were all cooked to perfection 🥰.
THE WORST!!!! Food, awful and cold...Manager, Elias....AWFUL. Nasty and confrontational. Not helpful. Decorated beautifully for Christmas, but that is the extent. Service...BAD. BAR...BAD...Food...BAD. STAY AWAY. Such a shame. I have fond memories of The Milleridge Inn from when I was young. It is not the same.
We went to the Milleridge Inn after a family function last Sunday. We did not arrange this nor pay for it. It was a dinner arranged by another family member. There were about 20 people in our party. The food and the service were terrible. Our drink orders were taken first and some got mixed up or we had to ask a few times where some drinks were. The appetizers were dried out. Our entree orders were taken next and sometime later we found out that our food was served to another room (How that happens I dont know). We had to wait until our entrees were prepared again. I ordered the Seafood Risotto, and the mussels and shrimp were tough and chewy. The Risotto was like oatmeal and the sauce in it had a funny taste. I ate a little bit and pushed it away. My daughter, who is pregnant, ordered the Chicken Millerage. When they served it, you could not tell what it was. She took one bite and pushed it away. My wife had the prime rib which she said was OK, but she had stomach issues later. My son in law also had the Seafood Risotto. He put a shrimp in his mouth, spit it out and said he could not eat this. We spent practically 5 hours in this restaurant because of our food having to be prepared twice. When the waitresses came by to take away our plates, no one asked if we wanted to take anything home. Not that we would anyway. That was an indication to me that they know the food was inedible. As we were leaving, I looked around and saw the restaurant was packed. My question was why? We will never go back to the Milleridge Inn on our own. And no, we did not send the food back because we would have been served the same inedible food.
Our family went for the Thanksgiving Day sit down dinner (which was prepaid weeks in advance). I wish I could give this establishment a negative 1 rating. The first indication that we probably selected the wrong place to have a family dinner was the nasty greeting from the gentleman at the entrance who was extremely rude, literally yelling (don’t get out of the car here) at us when I attempted to get out of the car at the front door prior to my husband parking due to my issues walking a distance because of a hip injury, then as we started to drive to park my husband slowed down and the guy runs over to tell us not to park in the handicap space we stopped in front of for a second as if we couldn’t read the sign. We were seated and literally waited 40 minutes to have our drink and appetizer orders taken and that was after I had to find someone to serve us with the threat of leaving. The soup was barely warm, the cocktails were good, but the food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. I don’t want to assume that the treatment we received was based on our complexion but it did cross my mind. Definitely will NEVER return and will advise others to look into alternative options if they desire a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.
It is always beautiful at Christmas time. Get there early, especially on the weekends because parking is difficult. The service was very good and the food was delicious. Be patient and kind to the staff because they are covering many different positions due to the fact that it is not easy hiring, lately. (No, I dont work there)
Dec. 4, 2021Last night we went to The Milleridge Inn to celebrate a birthday and to start the Christmas season. We could not have been more pleased with the evening. Elizabeth greeted us at the door, checked our reservation and escorted us to a table in the main dining room near the fireplace.(as I had requested when I made the reservation) She later returned to our table to make sure we were happy with the placement and to tell us that the Christmas Carolers would be singing very soon. The Carolers really added to the Christmas Atmosphere of the entire restaurant, which was beautifully decorated inside and outside. We all ordered the prix fix dinner, which included soup or salad. The butternut squash soup was great. I then had the sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage which was perfect, but way too much for me.( I ate it anyway). My friends took the rest of their entries home.Dessert consisted of nice sized portions with several choices, including cheese cake, rice pudding, apple strudel, and one or two more. Our server Maryann, returned to our table several times throughout the evening to see if all was ok and if we needed anything..Thank you Milleridge Inn, Elizabeth, MaryAnn and Carolers for making this a truly lovely evening.
What a terrible experience. Apps were freezing cold, drinks took FOREVER. meal was lets just say TERRIBLE. Manager Eias very confontational and unwilling to fulfill customer expectations. We will never return. Waitress Caroline was the only positive experience of the evening. Do not waste your time or money by going here.
Real nice Halloween festival but quite expensive $10 to go in the haunted house they had some live actors not too scary a lot of smoke but mommy and daddy and two kids is $40. We spent the wall over $100 there probably spend less than 2 hours but it was nice and fun. The little zoo that they have on the far end of the parking lot is free as always very nice to see.
My name is Hannah Cariddi (now Sierra) and we had our wedding Friday night, 12/17/21. From the beginning, Pam and the Milleridge team had patience, flexibility, and dedication! They worked with us to help create the vision and wedding day we dreamed of! Pam and the maître d’‘s were absolutely exceptional and were there at every moment during our wedding night. Leading up to the night, especially with pandemic concerns, Pam and the team helped to keep us calm and worked with us to create a safe and welcoming environment. Pam truly put our worries at ease and created such a beautiful design for our wedding night. The venue looked absolutely stunning and the Christmas decorations were remarkable. The entire night was extremely smooth and flawless thanks to Pam and her team. It was everything we ever dreamed of!!!! The food - OMG- don’t even get me started - DELICIOUS!!!!!! We couldn’t get enough!!!! The drinks were amazing as well!!! We HIGHLY recommend the Milleridge and their beautiful venue! You will not regret it!!!!!! Thank you so much for everything!!!!! The entire team was AMAZING!!! Have a wonderful holiday!!!Best,Mr. and Mrs. Sierra ❤️
Fun & historical visit for Morhers Day Brunch. Restaurant & little tourist village w setting dating back to Quakers of 1647! Mini animal farm w variety of roosters & other birds...a few ponies. Nice family outing...good for small children. Not cheap or exotic, but apple pie all-American diversions.
Absolute joke made a reservation and was told they need a credit card incase we cancel the day of. We called a week ahead of time to cancel and they charged my card $100. Absolute joke and the manager was rude and said read the receipt they emailed me after they already charged my card already.
I went there with my family yesterday. I guess you shouldn’t go on Sundays. The meat loaf (Ketchup Loaf) tasted very bad and it wasn’t fresh. chicken was dry and the steak tidbit sandwich was burned. The burger my son order was ok. The Apple strudel pastry was raw. So after almost 350 yearsThey still haven’t learned to cook. The only thing the place is got going for it is George Washington but soon that will not be enough to keep this establishment alive. Very disappointed and more than that I talked it up to my family and they were even more disappointed. You can go in use the bathroom but don’t sit down for a meal.
My husband and I went there for a Mothers Day brunch at the Carriage House. The food was plentiful and delicious. However the waitress assigned to our table forgot about us and was not around to replace our drinks. A few times I had to get up and go over to her to ask for a refill and coffee.Overall the venue did not disappoint and we had the added bonus of watching peacocks walk around the grounds. I would definitely recommend the buffet in the carriage house.
We went to the Fall festival at the Inn. It was $10 to enter, but you get that money back in milleridge bucks to use on anything in the festival- food, drink or activities. The shops were perfectly decorated. There were many different activities for all ages. Definitely recommend.
Went to dinner in the Inn after the Halloween village. Atmosphere was disappointing - cold, no music or ambiance, no fires lit in the fireplace. There were a lot of fruit flies and we asked to move our table. Food took a long time and came out cold for all in our party. Stiff mashed potatoes and sad baby carrots boiled with no seasoning. Surprisingly sub par considering the place used to be good. There was only 4 other tables filled in the entire place at 7pm on a Saturday night.
Tried to host an event here. Event coordinator, Beatrice failed to send over any of the information discussed. She doesn’t return emails or phone calls. When finally able to speak, hung up on me in the middle of me speaking on two separate occasions and had an EXTREME attitude. I learned all I needed to on how unprofessional, unkind, and disorganized she was on trusting her with my event.
Nice for a family trip for a couple hours. Theres great food and shops out back to buy souvenirs. Theres also animals to pet depending on the time of year. I would suggest going before Christmas. The shop area is decorated like a tiny Christmas village with deer and elves of course.
I went here last night for my Nieces wedding rehearsal dinner. 1st The mother of the groom asked them to please put on the music which they said they have we were in a private room upstairs and that never happened. The service was ok I guess like everywhere else they are short staffed. We startee off with a really good garden salad followed by penne ala vodka which was delicious. I was actually saying to myself why dont we come here more often until they served the dinner entrees. The chicken pot pie should of been called chicken soup pie I seriously think they forgot to put the flour in it was a disgrace to serve that to people. The salmon was so over cooked it was like eating cardboard. The marinated skirt steak was actually really good. But now I remember why we stopped coming because the entrees are gross. What a shame when you are trying to show very important people in your life a nice time .Will not be coming back here .
Came to the Milleridge with my family of 6. We went to the Cottage for the buffet and it was delish! Seafood hit the spot and everything else was great. We had to wait a little while for seating but that was due to safety measures in place which I was impressed with. Already booked Fathers day at the Inn and excited to try the Carriage house.
Went to Breakfast with Santa and have to share that Milleridge completely impressed us. The cottage was beautifully decorated, and all the tables were socially distant. We had tons of space between the other small families who were there. The buffet was very clean with the employees carefully serving from behind a barrier. There was no line for Santa who also sat behind a barrier. His elf helper and all of the staff were nice and made sure everyone felt comfortable. As always, food was excellent (eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, quiche Lorraine, among other options!).
Food and ambiance excellent. Had the seafood risotto, pumpkin soup, wedge lettuce salad and chocolate mousse cake. The cinnamon bread at the beginning of the meal was amazing. The shops outside are cute, got stuff at the bakery but the shops are really nothing to write home about.
Everything was delicious. The food was fresh and plenty of choices.. Our server Maryanne was awesome. So concerned about us being happy. A far cry from last weeks service. The bartender did better this week. Not as busy. He doesnt seem to be able to handle many orders at once.
Beautiful ambiance however there is very little diversity, if any. It was quite uncomfortable being stared at and ignored for most of the time we spent there. The carolers never came over but they went to every other table around us. We waited to avail and for 1.5 hrs... nothing. Our waiter barely spoke to us. He took our orders in passing and that was it. He also mixed up our checks and then caused us to spend more than we spent. The only great part of our visit was the Village and even there we received blatant stares of Why are we there? So we took a few pictures and left. I doubt we will go back but it was a beautifully decorated village.FYI, dont order the shrimp cocktail. It was cooked and very rubbery and very small. The calamari was wonderful once we asked for the sauce it came with since they never brought it with the food. The duck was good along with the sauce however the chicken was a little tough. There wasnt any glaze or gravy to make the tase less bland. We got dessert in the Village because the stares and pointing were too much at one point.I didnt realize how badly I could feel after leaving a place that looked amazing. Never again.
Went here for their Christmas village had an awesome time lots of fun free photo ops, activities for kids (at a fair price) all kind of fun colonial style shops with all kids of goodies and Christmas ware. If you have small children and are looking for some great holiday memories I highly recommend this place
I used to love this place, but was very disappointed that when I got to the bakery, they were closed. I drove thirty minutes to the bakery to get a cake for what would have been my mom and dads 44th wedding anniversary while I was up visiting from Florida. My dad passed away 3 years ago and I visit around the anniversary to keep her company. I called to verify that they had a certain cake at 5:50pm. The girl I spoke to said they did and I said Id be there shortly to get it. She said no problem and she would see me soon. The website said they closed at 7pm or 8pm depending on certain days of the week, nothing about a 6pm close time and she never said theyd be closing shortly. I got there at 6:20 and it was all locked up and the lights were off. I called the main number and asked why they were closed and the woman there said she didnt know why and there was nothing she could do to help. Needless to say I wasnt able to suprise my mom with a cake from the same place her and my dad had their first date at in 1976. Please update your site or train your people to inform customers of updated operating hours.
We had a reservation for 6pm on Oct 1. We arrived on time and waited 10 minutes at the check in to be told it was a half hour wait even with the reservation. After a hour we were told we were near but due to staff issues we had to wait another 45 minutes so basically with a reservation they were having us wait two hours. I would not recommend this place until they know how to manage betterand we have been going there for over 40 years
I go to Milleridge Inn occasionally. We decided to try the Valentines fixed price dinner. What a great menu as you can see from my photo . It was an amazing price ( about $60) considering the selections. The whole restaurant inside and outside was extensively decorated for Valentines Day. There was even a free photo booth set up. The service couldnt have been better. 8 pm was a good time because eventually many of the earlier crowd of people left as we were still eating. One thing about the huge dining area is that its separated into different sections and rooms so the noise level is relatively low and there is no blaring background music. The warm cinnamon loaf and the popover were delicious as was the meal. Both the surf and turf and the salmon were superb as were the 7 layer cake ( my favorite there) and the warm brownie with ice cream. Even the coffee was tasteful. Thank you Milleridge Inn for the long stem red rose.
Went for Sunday brunch. Place was festive and service was great but simple things like eggs (that were dry) and sausage and bacon (that were incredibly greasy) and eggplant that was mushy... I was embarrassed for them. Even what was good was just OK. Coffee was lousy. $50+ per person and it included a watery bloody Mary or cheap champagne (only one)... sorry Milleridge... you lost me.
Just left the 12pm seating for the Toy Story Brunch at the millerage inn. This was the biggest scam rip off I have ever encountered and will never patronize this establishment ever again.Upon entering the characters were behind a velvet rope with masks on. I understand on the flyer it states “socially distant photos with the characters” but they were stationary the entire brunch and did not interact with anyone for “covid restrictions”, meanwhile you have waiters and waitresses walking around taking drink orders and clearing tables. You are telling me you can’t have a character walk around and interact with kids? You can even make them an honorary waiter/waitress for the day, and there you go, problem solved. The food selection was mediocre at best. Only 1 lunch option of chicken fingers and fries- even for the noon seating. Not to mention that when the waitress approached our table to take our drink orders the first thing to come out of her mouth was “no alcohol” - because everyone at the venue was asking. What brunch (especially for $40 per person) doesn’t serve alcohol? Or even give the option to purchase separately? Without the peacocks roaming around outside the kids at this place wouldn’t have been a bit entertained. This was incredibly disappointing and the Millerage needs to do a better job advertising this event for what it actually is during “covid restrictions” or at least lower the price significantly. We stayed for exactly 1 hour and paid $40 for chicken fingers.
I am impressed, to say the least, with the new era of The Milleridge. Their food has become increasingly delicious, and their village continues to grow in excellence. For children, the village houses tons of activities during the holidays, but also a bakery and shops with tons of cute boutique-like gifts.I will definitely be coming back, job well done 👏🏻.
Stopped by to pick up an apple pie from the bakery but got there too late. The bakery closes at 8pm. Regardless I had an opportunity to see the beautiful decorations and enormous Christmas tree. I have heard alot of great things about dining there. Will definitely try it after covid settles. Great place to go simply for pictures!
Went for the Christmas Village and to enjoy dinner, we asked for a table in the main room on the phone when making this reservation, were given a table that had way too many people in the room with broken chairs. The food was terrible not at all what it used to be! Ordered a medium steak it was over cooked, another member of our party ordered medium and it was still cold in the center. They won’t let you do substitutions no green beans for carrots, mashed potatoes were cold, and the steak was served with breakfast home fries with peppers. I will never go back here again.
Christmas brunch was wonderful. They had it organized well so there was no love for the buffet. Fresh shellfish was bountiful and delicious. There was one room of breakfast, salads, carvings and seafood and a second room with cooked lunch food and desserts. The prime rib was overdone but there was so much else to choose from. We even got to hear carollers. Go hungry.
Food made my father and I sick. The french onion soup does not come with the classic cheese on top unless you order the large, which is not specified in the menu, furthermore, the menu also is incredibly lacking in information related to the food and pricing. Often 2 options for the same meal with no information regarding the differences between them. Waiters did not know their menus and had to walk away to management for answers to questions. At almost $300 for a dinner for 4 people absolutely no excuse to not include cheese in french onion soup. From what I was able to gather on my own and what I saw in other reviews, the restraunt takes advantage of its good reputation by overcharging and cutting costs in stupid ways that winds up ruining the customers experience.
The set up is cute but not much to do besides bounces which I won’t let my kid play because of Covid. There was no Christmas music until I was leaving, staff looked tired or something not warm people at all. And you can’t see Santa in the Santa village unless you pay for a photo which we already had this year, so the little kids kept asking were is Santa and they have windows all blocked off for you to pay to see Santa. Will not go there again and do not recommend.
Great Christmas decorations throughout the restaurant, topped off with excellent singing. We had the buffet style dinner. Food was in general of high quality, especially if you got dishes from new trays. Server was very friendly and made sure everyone at the table was happy. Great experience for the whole family.
As far as the appearance of the place, its really cute and cozy. If youre looking for a fun place to bring your kids Im sure its great. If youre a foodie like me, this may not be the place for you. I got the Yankee roast grilled cheese sandwich, the meat was dry & bland, there was more meat than cheese, the bread was super thick, ratios were just off entirely. We took an apple strudel home, & we heated it up in the toaster oven for about 10 minutes, & when we cut into it we realized only the dough on the top was baked, the rest was raw. In my opinion, overall all the food lacked flavor. It tasted like nothing was seasoned. Fresh herbs, garlic, & other seasonings would really make a world of a difference in my opinion. I think the most frustrating part of it was the very high prices. If Im spending $21 on a grilled cheese sandwich, I am expecting it to be amazing with quality ingredients, & it was not. Okay rant over, go ahead and decide for yourself.
The service is terrible. Our waitress never checked up on us once our order was put in. I ordered a bottled beer and the glass they gave me to pour it in was absolutely filthy. I could see dried beer in it from when it was previously used. I also ordered a soup which was never brought out to me. I would have told my waitress, but you know, she never came by until dinner was done and she was dropping off the check. The food is expensive for what it is. Its ok tasting but not worth the price. The one good thing about the Milleridge is that it has a lovely Christmas ambiance. The carolers are a nice touch.
I celebrated my graduation today in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we had a wonderful evening and the place was no doubt one of the reasons for that fruitful evening. The crew cooperated in a pleasant style, the cuisine was appetizing and my guests were so thrilled. We shall absolutely return for more events. thanks very much.
We just celebrated my moms 75th birthday in the Directors Room. I couldnt be more pleased. The food and service was excellent. Our servers Lilly and Marge went far and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed and that everyone was happy. They were great, very pleasant to work with. Kathy the catering manager was also great to work with. The only things that were a bit of an issue is we rented a TV and the TV was not set up before the party. So it was a bit of a distraction having them set it up during the party since the room is so small. It says that the room can hold up to 32, but thats really tight. We had 24 guests and 2 kids, and it already felt very tight. But overall everyone had a great time, especially my mom, so thats all that matters.
The Milleridge Inn is a very special place for lunch or dinner! I have been going there for years and have always enjoyed the Beautiful colonial style. There is a large fireplace in the main dinner room and the style of the restaurant has colonial arrangements and decor. The food is delicious with many fine selections from fish to poultry and meat. The prime rib is suburb! I highly recommend this fine restaurant which dates back to 1672!
Horrible service!!!Waited 30 minutes for plates to be cleared! No popovers!!! Horrible! Waited 40 minutes to be asked what we wanted for dessert. It wasnt crowded! We complained to manager Elizabeth and she gave us 2 popovers which were finally done at 6:45. Our dinner was at 5:00! Wow they dont even care! We will never go back! A tradition ruined!
Always Festive and Beautifully Decked out for the Holidays. I especially love the roosters & chickens walking around. The stores in the village are so cute and quaint and the candy store brings back so many memories. Its a great place for family and friends to get together and celebrate. I have to say I was disappointed with the pot roast. It was very tough, but the rest of the meal was good. The popovers are always a hit & the service is always impeccable.
Met with friends for Happy Hour. Had a great selection of $7 appetizers, $5 Beers and $7 mixed drinks. The lobster tacos, fried calamari and beef sliders were all great. And the bartender was extremely nice. We even stayed for coffee and dessert.Had a really nice evening.
Went to a brunch event where kids would get to meet characters.. my expectations were relatively low due to the pandemic safety protocols. Somehow they managed to not even meet those. Understandably, the characters were in 1 area, blocked off by plexiglass for safety reasons. There was a velvet rope to signify a line, but there was nobody enforcing the line. People had no control over their kids, walking around the plexiglass to greet the characters and running around. There was 4 staff members to greet people as they came in, but not one could be bothered to manage this chaos. They were too busy chatting among themselves. At the table, servers rarely came by to see how you were doing. I didnt expect exceptional service, but I figured someone would want to come by to refill coffee at least once. Of course, when it came to clearing a table, 4 servers rushed over immediately to clear a small table. The buffet was a wreck too. There was plexiglass between customers and the server, but they did a poor job of enforcing mask rules. One customer went up without a mask and leaned over the plexiglass to make himself heard to a server.. talking over the food. The food was also lacking for the price. Cereal, fruit salad, yogurt, juice, danishes, bagels, home fries, waffles, chicken fingers (more like fried breading with a tiny bit of what resembles chicken), fries, bacon, sausage, and eggs (that were horrible). I left dissatisfied.. at least my son was happy, which, in the end, was all that mattered.
Such a fun Easter event for the kids. Beautiful venue and grounds and little shops to visit. Hope this place stays open for a long time. The food was incredible and there were so many options, I could eat here all day every day. This was wonderful and a memorable experience for the kids too.
Food has definitely improved with the new ownership. The prices are still high, and way higher for the all inclusive meals. They do offer a limited early bird menu which is your best bet dollarwise. The one caveat is there is no beef item on it. Other than that, we would go back during the early bird hours. Too pricey otherwise.
Ive been going to Milleridge Inn since the 1970s. Surprisingly, although there have been changes in management over the years, the food quality has not really changed much at all. Milleridge Inn food has never been exceptional or outstanding - I would rate it somewhere in the category of good. Youll get basic American dishes (for the most part) that are acceptable and filling but certainly would win no awards. In my opinion, the buffet food is better than the dishes ordered off of the menu. Prices are slightly inflated considering the quality of food you get but I suppose youre paying for the Colonial architecture and Early American ambiance. I will keep going to Milleridge Inn, perhaps because over time it has become a tradition with me. And tradition is a powerful thing.
The place is beautifully decorated for Xmas, some small shops very quaint tiny town!. The service was not that great. The food depended on what was ordered. We had a get together of 17, one of us didnt get our food at all, one sent it back. Meat/Ribs was terribly dry, chicken meh, fish dishes and salads were good. Hamburger meh.Would not go back for the food, but would for the ambiance.
I called up at 1015am to make a reservation for brunch and got no answer then I called again at 1200p and they told me they couldnt accommodate one person for a brunch buffett I was so disappointed I just came from a church memorial svc for my mom who passed away and we had been there for brunch before and loved it
My family surprised me with a birthday party in the Robert Williams room and it was AMAZING! The venue was nice and clean, the service was great and the food was delicious. The head server Maria was wonderful, extremely attentive and took care of all our needs. Thank you to all the Staff at the Milleridge Inn, you made my day extra special!
Great service, decent selection of items for brunch buffet. They had omelette and waffle stations which was nice. We are vegetarians but their sea food selection seems decent. Bit on the pricey side for long Island in my opinion, but you can make up for it as its buffet and bottomless.
We went today for the breakfast with Santa. I must say that my expectations for the event where really high based on their website and reviews. We chose this place over other halls offering this type of activity. SANTA walks around the sitting area and comes to your table and takes a picture with you however if you come here thinking that your kids will be seating with Santa by the tree is not going to happen. The food selection was just OK. I think that if Someone pays 53 dollars for adults and 32 for children over three for breakfast it better be awesome. This food just was ok nothing great. There is no alcohol not even mimosas or a cash bar. The place was a little disorganized but the service was good.
The food and service were excellent. The only issue was the $4 per glass charge for iced tea. Apparently iced tea is no longer included with the prix fix menu (although the menu indicates that tea and coffee is included), and there are no refills. When questioned, the manager said that was the corporate policy. In all the years that we have been going to the Milleridge Inn, I cant remember this being the case. If that indeed is the current policy, they should include that information on the menu.
My girlfriend and I went here for Valentines and had an amazing time. Would recommend their drive in movie nights 10/10Food was delicious (many great appetizers) and the Valentines village was adorable (make sure you come early to explore)Cant wait to go again for other holiday events
I’ve been chasing down a $150 deposit for a basketball dinner that was left for several months. I realize the restaurants had some tough months, but every time I call I get a different story. Refunds were sent, we are taking care of it, owners not here. Very unethical in a community not to refund deposits due to your closure. Looking for a full refund.
I would rate it higher but they are so busy and overwhelmed that they had to be asked three times to bring us bread before our dinner. We got it before dinner but they are spread too thin even though there seems to be plenty of help the place is packed and always busy. Pretty noisy to. The food was very good and thats really why youre here.
The service was amazing! Eric Martinez was our server great personality fast and always filled our glass we never had to ask! Excellent and delicious food! Went on st. Paddy’s day so it was a fixed menus ! Their Shepard pie was so delicious and my son had the steak he said it was perfect! Such a wonderful experience! Love this place!
Beef ribs had little flavor with some broth and no gravy. Brussel sprouts were cold and were bland. Mash potatoes came with no gravy, were cold and would not melt the butter, asked for some gravy that never came, french onion soup had little flavor. Never came back to see if we wanted refills for our drinks. Wife had the prime rib which was a nice size portion, but said it was very chewy. Cinnamon bread was awesome. Not the place it used to be.
3 years and counting. The staff here really know how to hustle and ensure everyone is taken care of. They were kind and helpful with my request while handling the brunch rush during the peak Christmas season. Special acknowledgements go out to Lauren for pretty much being at all parts of the restaurant helping out while managing her staff. Donny for ensuring all guests had any issues taken care of. Alex and Pam for running the front smoothly while also assisting other staff and guests. And Misael, our waiter for being very attentive to us and his other tables more than other waiters Ive had at other restaurants. A big thank you and Merry Christmas. See ya next year.
First time at the Milleridge Inn and I instantly felt welcomed! The entire shopping area around it is so cute! I attended a private event at the restaurant and have nothing negative to say. Food was great, staff was friendly, and we even had some Christmas carollers stop by and sing us a few songs. I saw so many families enjoying their time here and I did too. Definitely recommend!
The offerings for happy hour were absolutely delicious - highly recommend the Lobster Tacos. I love the ambience, it was a favorite for my family growing up. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars was the waitress who started out great, but then stormed off several times when we didnt make our selections fast enough. At first I thought she had some kind of emergency but when it happened a second time it really tainted the enjoyable time we were having. She alternated between sullen and then smiling again when it was time to pay the bill and leave her a tip. It was very unfortunate.
I had my bridal shower here on 12/4/2016 in the Quaker Room. Because it was Christmas time all of the rooms available for events were decorated with gorgeous decorations and trees! The Quaker room was nice and spacious for my guests (about 50 or so) and had nice little fireplace for atmosphere. We chose the lunch option as opposed to the brunch option. The food was absolutely scrumptious as was the champagne punch! It was closed with a lovely special occasion cake made by the bakery in the little shops next to the restaurant. Very tasty! It was the most wonderful day and its even better at Christmas time! Thank you to everyone that took part in my special day.
What a wonderful place. It is a great place to bring family and friends if you are looking to impress. The food is superb and the service quick, efficient and friendly. It has history and a wonderful little village for for light shopping afterwards if you are so inclined. Be sure to stop by the bakery to take home some of the great tasting mini loaves of bread, they they serve with dinner. The cinnamon loaves are out of this world.
Returned to the Inn today for the first time in 10 years (last time was a wedding Thanksgiving weekend). Today we joined Breakfast with Santa. The building was well decorated and clean.( Including the bathrooms.) The food for this particular event was buffet-style breakfast. The food was good and everything was constantly full. Staff results are very nice. (Including a very nice doorman.)
The food was very good. I ordered one of the sandwich options, the lobster one. The side of fries were amazing and the portion size was just right. Enough to keep you full. Although one lady did snap at me when I asked for a refill, the service, overall, was good too.
We celebrated our wedding reception there and the food and service was great. They took care of everything, kids can enjoy farm animals nearby, theres plenty of space for parking, staff is friendly and in our case, our guests loved the room we picked (Philo). I definitely recommend this venue for events.
I was not told it was a pre-fixe menu on OpenTable when I made the reservation for Valentines Day and when I clicked on the menu button it brought me to there regular menu. So because of the diet Im on and I dont drink, I spent $56 to eat only the prime rib. The waitress told me were ONLY serving what on the pre-fixe menu.Waiting in their attached outdoor waiting room, which I was at least 1 elevated heater was great too. Especially when it was 20° outside and they didnt have the heater on.We also waited almost 20 minutes to get our check.....
This was my 5th Christmas Eve dinner @ The Miller Ridge Inn, and I have to say the best one! For the Inn to seat 150 people every one and a half hours and provide food that is fit for a King is a Christmas Miracle! My party was the next to last seating so we were expecting some food issues and tired staff, but received neither!Much to our Suprise, the Host staff were energetic, helpful and very accomadating to us and everyone around us as we were greeted, then helped to our table. We were comfortable, not stuffed between other tables but roomy aisles so Carolers had room to walk and sing.Special Kudos to our waitress Bianca!Bianca was on que as we sat, then explained that we would be served water and bread so we could peruse the menu and decide on drinks.Suddenly as if by majic, someone appeared with the now famous Cinnamon Loaf and a fresh Iced water pitcher to fill our glasses. I mentioned to Bianca that she was indeed an Angel! We ordered cocktails which appeared quickly and served by Bianca. As we enjoyed breaking bread (Cinnamon Loaf), and drinks with our friends Bianca again appeared without rushing us to take our order. The Price Fix Menu had enough options to allow choices that pleased everyone.Appetizers were fresh and delicious, from Chopped Liver, Salad and fresh Fruit. Followed by our entrées of Prime Rib, Filet Mignon and Stuffed Chicken, (Cordon Blu style). Did I mention our Prime Ribs and Filet arrived exactly as ordered, served at a perfect temperature. Sides of delicious mountains of mashed potatoes 🥔 and perfectly steamed zucchini, squash and brocolli! All delicious 😋 and pleasing to the pallet.Dessert 🍰 choices were indeed delicious along with great tasting Hot coffee ☕!Note that our meal time was from a 5:30 on time seating till 7:15pm, not-indicative of a high-volume operation, one that was Never Rushed.Overall a 5 rating for an Excellent Christmas dinner! (did I mention my Christmas day pre Birthday 🎂 Celebration! As well). We will certainly return to the Milleridge Inn for another great meal & Reccomend you do so as well.Ps. Dont forget to ask for seconds of the scrumptious Pop Overs, and yes there are more than enough for everyone!

2022-01-13The service was amazing, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. The Milleridge Village is so cute and the pastries were so delicious in the bakery. The seafood risotto is ok, but from what I gathered from the other people I went to lunch with, the pot roast was not good.

2021-12-31This was our Santa’s Train Ride!😂 An empty parking lot. The kid was great and we laughed but this was absolutely pathetic and they should not charge 1 penny for this! If you kid are interested take a scooter and ride around the shops! Food was mediocre. Overall a fun experience but would just say have a quick but, dessert at bakery on premises and skip the train! Happy Holidays!

2022-04-18Tried the Easter dinner buffet at The Milleridge Inn located in Jericho, NY for the first time and was a total disappointing experience ever for me and my family. I gave the rating of one star for the buffet at the Cottage. The overpriced food and service are terrible. My high expectations for food taste and service has been shattered. Most of the dinner food tried are tasteless and not worth writing home about. The dessert section was poor and of small selection. There are not even serving ice cream for the kids. As for the service, they are disorganized. They don’t know how to follow and stick to time management. From their Easter add, it states that the egg hunting at the Cottage for kids above 5 years old would start at 2:30pm. We came in there by 2:20pm for the kids were so excited about joining the egg hunting scheduled for 2:30pm. Immediately, we were told that the egg hunting has been completed before the stated time of 2:30pm. My kids were crushed. Another incident was with our food server from our table (23) who was confused and at times don’t even know what she was serving. My son was asking for lemonade. She served the lemonade almost half the cup and told him that they had ran out without offering any substitute. She served my wife her drinks in a small child proof plastic cup which I find pathetic. Then, my wife had requested for a hot tea after dinner. She served my wife dark brown hot water from a pot and a Lipton tea bag. She couldn’t explain to my wife why the water was dark brown when asked. There were more negative incidences experienced but too long to write. In general, It has been terrible dining experience for my family and will not be coming back to this place ever again.

2022-04-16The atmosphere at the Milleridge has always been very historical. Our waiter was good and attentive. Went there for lunch/dinner menu with a good selection. Prices a little high on some selections but you pay for what you get. All selections ordered were very good. There were a few things that we asked for but it was not served there. Overall experience was positive!

2022-05-15I was looking forward to having a good anniversary dinner with my hubby, but it turned out not to be as good as I expected. Was disappointed in prices (*yes, I know the cost of everything has gone up) and the quality of the food was downgraded from when I was there last. I ordered the sauerbraten, which is my favorite meal, but was disappointed with the quality. Meat was a bit dry and the potato dumplings were kind of heavy. I ordered a Caesar salad, but instead of Caesar dressing, it was nothing but oil and vinegar (mostly vinegar). My husband ordered a burger, yes, $19.00 for a burger and a mound of fried. Don’t forget the $2.00 for the cheese! I’m writing this on a Sunday, where you’d think there would be a full house. When we got there, we were asked if we had reservations. Why would we need reservations, when there was exactly one table of customers there. When we left, there were 3. If they’re not crowded on a weekend, something isn’t right. At that rate, they won’t last. I’d hate to see this establishment go under after so many years, but it seems to be the path they’re on. I hope the most recent owners get their act together, and find a way of saving it before it’s too late. If others think the way my husband and I are, people won’t be returning anytime soon.

2022-05-24I have been going to the Milleridge Inn for decades. It is a nice place. Good food, good sized portions and an old world charm. The Milleridge Village has stores to walk through as well. Springtime is nice. If you visit during the Christmas season the magic really comes alive. Many people have gatherings, parties and even weddings at The Milleridge. They have plenty of room for them between their main building which has many rooms and the Cottage.Just a great place that is an important part of Long Islands history and its future as well.

2021-04-17A good solid meal in an historic place. I enjoyed my Manhattan cocktail, wine, service, Ceasar Salad and huge Rib Eye steak. However others in my party felt differently about their meals.I liked our server Mariann. She was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was nice and a good noise level for a group to have a conversation. However the overall food experience was disappointing based on the groups consensus. In the end. I will give this place another try since I was pretty satisfied with my experience.

2022-05-17Food was great! The skirt steak was tender and delicious. Usually when you order salmon you get gypped and wish you went for something else. Not so here, portions are ample, fish was cooked just right. Will be back soon.

2022-01-10This place will always hold a special place in my heart. Was married there in August 1982. Have always gone back to eat and or shop in the village. For awhile it started getting run down until this new ownership took over. It’s coming back to life and I enjoyed seeing the crowds again. You can see the work and money that has been invested.

2022-06-20This restaurant has blood on its hands. Ive seen multiple neglected peacocks roaming the busy streets and parking lots of Jericho. After watching one almost get hit by a car this weekend, I got in touch with a local Zoologist and Wildlife rescuer who let me know that the Milleridge Inn once had 50+ animals on their property, and most had been rescued after half froze to death this winter. They refused to give up the peacocks to use in their photos. These peacocks are left in unsafe living conditions they can easily escape from. Do not support businesses that neglect and abuse animals.
