I used the moving doctor yesterday to move furniture from Long Island to upstate NY. I made all the arrangements with Danny who was extremely accommodating and professional. The men got there on time and immediately started wrapping, taking things apart, and loading up the truck. They were careful, hard working, and knew exactly what they were doing(they even took apart a baby grand piano and put it back together upstate). If you are looking for a moving company look no further! I will definitely be using them again, and will recommend them to everyone I know who is moving. Thanks again!
We had the pleasure of working with Randy and Arnold for our recent move.We were very concerned prior to the move, as we have had a variety of experiences throughout our lives with other movers.I can tell you that both my wife and I are very particular about many things especially our home. We were delighted and much relieved by the professionalism and care that was afforded us by Randy during this arduous process. We were able to relax knowing what a good job they were doing. Arnold had just a positive attitude and was very strong. Both men were very suited for such a tough job.We will be moving again in approximately 8-10 months and will definitely use The Moving Doctor, in fact I recommended them to my brother who is also moving in about 2 weeks!Dr H
Fantastic service, these guys showed up right on time, they were friendly and got right down to work without a fuss. They made sure to be careful with my items and clearly had a lot of experience and knowledge with heavy, more fragile items. Ive used them twice for personal and business needs, each time I was very pleased. There were three guys in total, they were friendly and considerate, they didnt damage anything making sure to wrap the furniture very well to avoid damage.
By far the most professional moving company that I have dealt with. All the workers have efficient methods of bringing in items which plays a key role in the company’s success. Lastly, and most importantly, all workers did everything with a positive attitude. I 10/10 recommend.
What a great moving company, I highly recommend them! We downsized from a home that we lived in for 20 years, and needless to say we had a lot of stuff. Three full truckloads. They had a crew of 6 guys that worked tirelessly for 2 full days. They were a pleasure to work with, they were clean, they never complained, nothing was damaged, they moved things around for me as needed and as I changed my mind! Who could ask for anything more. Five stars too Randy and his team!
The Moving Doctor helped me move my 85 year old Mom to her new home.They were extremely careful with all her prized belongings including a glass curio cabinet, mirrors, and glass items. They wrapped her couch in blankets to prevent damage while getting it through multiple doorways. Randy headed the three men who came and were all pleasant and helpful.They did the job in less time than the quote and supplied wardrobe closets for my Mom’s clothes to move from closet to box to closet again, swiftly! This is my 5th move in 8 years and I have used a different moving company every time. I would highly recommend The Moving Doctor. They showed up promptly at the start time and finished quicker than the original estimated time (which was still less than the other companies who quoted our move). All of the movers were friendly/professional and the whole day went in a breeze. Stress free, which is much needed when youre stressed about everything else regarding a move.
I have used them twice in the last 2 years. The first was a local move which went very smoothly. The second time was a long distance move. Since I was happy with them on my last move I called them again.Their price for a direct long distance move was not much more than the big guys were for a traditional long distance move that could take up to 2 weeks.They picked up my stuff on time, packed as discussed, and were at my new residence on the day and time agreed upon.Everything arrived perfectly. The men were wonderful to work with.I recommend them 100%.

I have used The Moving Doctor on three different occasions to move my parents, most recently this past August. For each move they arrived on time and got right to work. Though the loading of items went extremely quickly, everything was packed or wrapped carefully. They even helped me pack some of the leftovers that I was going to go back for later! I am a very satisfied customer.
The Moving Doctors were absoultely AMAZING. Our move was very last minute and we were unsure of what company to use. We called one company and when the day came their prices completely changed. The Moving Doctor came and everything was perfect, the price, the timing and the men were very nice. I would use them again any day.
The company was recommended to us by a very satisfied couple. We have only done half the move because we have most of our household in storage. We too were very satisfied with the packing crew who were very careful and put us at ease as we watched them pack! Ty was great and helpful to us during a stressful time. We will write again once the move is completed!
These guys were awesome!! They arrived on time (actually a little early) and were quick, kind and efficient. They quickly loaded up the truck, making sure everything was wrapped in blankets or plastic. When they arrived at my new home, they quickly and efficiently unloaded the truck. I was amazed at how great they were. I would definitely recommend them.
So disappointed to give these guys a bad review. I vetted several moving companies and was really impressed by their personable staff, but the entire process was a disaster. I had an in-home estimate (nicest guy came by to review my belongings...he gave me a conservateive quote, expecting actual price would be a few hundred dollars lower). On the day of the move, after packing the truck, they told me the price increased the by 30%...over $2,500! It was a total bait and switch.They damaged several things during the move. And the delivery process was a disaster...they gave me two hours notice and the man in charge of the delivery was intoxicated. Literally...he reeked of beer. His crew advised me that the person they delivered to before me had called the cops on him.Such a disappointing experience. Definitely dont use these guys.

BE AWARE!!!!What a scam!Today is my moving day and I am still sitting in my apartment with all my belongings. Last week Steven came to my place to give us an estimate for our move. I called him again two days later to confirm the price of 2725$. And he said that that’s the price unless we need to add things to our move. Today after packing everything and setting the time for our move with our management company the movers came and right before they started to move our things the guy says that the total cost would be 5025$ almost DOUBLE of the estimate. They try to take advantage of the situation and think you won’t send them away but we did!!!!! I would never do business with people like that. Worst company ever. Shame on you!!!
The Moving Doctor took care of me from start to finish. I had a wonderful 4-man crew who were courteous, kind, professional in all ways, and knowledge about the art and science of moving. I felt totally taken care of. Thank you Moving Doctor!
First off, the movers themselves were courteous and professional; its the companys policies that I have an issue with. We needed to move our stuff to storage for about a week, then have it delivered to our new address. A man named Steve gave us an estimate for everything beforehand but the final bill turned to be about twice as much. I understand that estimates are just that: an expected cost that is not guaranteed. However, to have the estimates of both the initial move and the subsequent delivery so off the mark leads me to believe the company is actively providing a lower price to get the business before sticking you with a much higher bill. The only reason we chose them was because their estimate was much lower than that of two other competitors. Just goes to show, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!To start, they under estimated our move by over $3,000!! The first truck was delayed by a week with mechanical issues and we couldnt get straight answers as to where our items were or when they would arrive. Finally, they moved our things to another truck. When the truck finally showed up in Michigan, it arrived at 7:30 at night and stayed until after 1am, because the driver didnt want to be delayed to his next stop. So obnoxious to have movers here into the early morning hours of the next day!Now, Im finding more and more things that are damaged and broken...clearly when they moved our items from one truck to the next they did so with little regard or care for our things. My kitchen table? Damaged. Chairs? Scratched. Wooden bench? Big gauge out of the top. Glasses? Multiple are broken.Ive moved a few times in the past several years and have had very little to no damage each time. Items that were otherwise pristine now look terrible.If you want a timely, reasonably priced move where your items are well cared for, then go somewhere else!
My workplace hired Randy & his crew to work with us this past weekend. They were extremely efficient, productive and polite. Not to mention that they were a really fun crew & that definitely helped relieve some of the stress of moving. :)
The Moving Doctor was referred to me by a friend who had a great moving experience. I was extremely pleased with the referral. The team assigned to me were extremely careful with my furnishings and I couldnt have been happier with my total moving experience!
Crew was exceptional. Quick, tidy, careful, and innovative with ideas how to max efficiency of the move. Showed up on time, worked very well as a team. Completely eliminated the dreaded move anxiety. Highly recommended.
I work not too far from the Moving Dr. main office and I believe that in the near future I will have a need for a moving and storage company. I walked in and spoke to Naressa which asked me a lot of questions and seems to be very knowledgeable She kept giving me some information which seems to be suitable. As a result I signed the contract and will be moving on May 1, 2018.
The best Moving company you can find. The movers are absolutely hard working, courtous, polite, very helpful, they give ideas and suggestions on how to rearange the furniture etc. I will difinitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

Really 3.5 Stars... They offered a great price & good service as far as the movers go (they are polite. But on the phone they are very pushy & borderline rude. All in all seemed to handle my belongings with care.

Very costly & my fireplace was damaged from move. Furniture goes from one truck to another, took more than a week for it to arrive in florida from NY.

2020-09-09I cannot express how pleased I am with my experience with The Moving Doctor. I moved from Long Island to Queens during COVID-19, and every step of the way The Moving Doctor was professional, kind, and careful. Pat came to my home to provide a thorough estimate of the move and answered every question I had. Although I was already sold on using the company, I received a handwritten note from Pat in the mail a few days later thanking me for my time and for considering The Moving Doctor. When moving day came, Nick, Chris, and Thomas arrived on time and quickly had all my belongings loaded in the truck. They were thoughtful and efficient in moving everything, including items that needed dismantled or protected (desks, couch, treadmill, paintings, etc.). They treated my items with the same care they would their own. When we arrived at the coop, they knew the building and its protocols almost better than the coops staff, and within 4 hours I was completely moved in and theyd left after wishing me well (and re-constructing everything!). I hope to not move for a very, very long time, but The Moving Doctor will be my first call when the time comes!

2020-02-24We hired the Moving Doctor for a local move. We were pleasantly surprised at how professional they were during our move. They cared for our furniture and possessions as though it was their own. They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture. They were courteous, friendly and followed all directions. They truly aimed to please. They put all of my biggest fears to rest immediately. I would highly recommend this company for your move especially if your looking for the type of movers who will handle your prize possessions with the care you would expect from only yourself.

2019-12-23I contracted Moving Doctor in August to move from Brooklyn NY, to Florida. The service was amazing! On moving day, the crew arrived on time, they were extremely careful with my belongings and kept the move to a simple and easy transition. When they arrived a week later (as promised) to Florida, the 2nd crew was also very courteous and careful with my things. Nothing was damaged/broken or missing in the move. The rate was beyond reasonable compared to other movers. I would totally recommend Moving Doctor! Moving in itself is intense, but having a reliable mover definitely eases the experience.
