I had to call about my guitar I bought needing to be adjusted from being shipped. The call was personally answered and they offered to cover it. The man I talked to was so kind and willing to help. It reminded me of back in the day when there wasn’t automated phone systems when people actually talk to each other! I have bought a couple of more small items here and it’s always shipped quickly and the items are quality. Thank you for being the great company you are!!! 🤗😁
I bought the EpiLite Les Paul Case and its light as a feather, yet gives your guitar full protection during transport. It has a neck protection strap inside, keeping the guitar from moving. Im sorry i cant remember the names of both guys i spoke to when i called the store, both were great. Im originally from Brooklyn NY so it was a pleasure and privilege to not only do business but this case is not available Anywhere USA. All the major music stores have them on backorder, yet you guys have a few in stock. Thats as good as it gets. Thank you/Muchas Gracias.
Great shop. The guitar shipped quickly and was well packed. Richard Castillo was very helpful. He answered all my questions promptly and made the entire process very easy. Plus we were able to do the entire thing over email which helped around my crazy work hours. Thanks again Richard. Shes a beauty.
Ordered a used Squier HH strat online, which I’d been hunting down for a few weeks. The price was good and delivery was fast and very well packaged. I did have an issue with the neck pick up and reached out to MZ once I had it diagnosed as faulty. They were very quick to respond and cover the cost of local repair.Very happy overall. Price, availability of stock and customer service is excellent here and I’ll definitely be back for more gear.
If you like to play, look at, or just hear guitars, the Music Zoo in Farmingdale is for you. There is nothing they dont have or cant order. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely talented. If nothing else, stop by any weekend for their in store specials, giveaways, and performances by the top guitarists on the scene today.
I bought an ESP guitar 2 weeks ago via Amazon and got great help from Rose on setup. Two weeks later I bought a Steinberger from Japan via eBay and NOBODY was able to help me set up the tremolo--not Facebook groups or even Gibson themselves. I called Rose at The Music Zoo and she kindly took several minutes and helped me. This wasnt a guitar I bought from them! Amazing service.
Great experience via Rosemarie at The Musiczoo.I found The Musiczoo in my search for a unique guitar I simply couldn’t find elsewhere. Solid customer service and responsiveness.Give them an opportunity if your in the market for a guitar.HSS Fender Custom with Floyd Rose.
From start to finish, this has easily been the best online shopping experience Ive ever had. For the last two and a half months, Jessica Koves has been attentive and patient with all of my questions and needs. She answered every email promptly and was an absolute pleasure to work with. My Frankie got here today, and it is gorgeous! If youre looking to buy anything from here, do not hesitate! Thank you Music Zoo, and thank you Jess!
I have purchased two instruments (Basses) from the Music Zoo in the last two years. Wonderful experience....smooth transactions.....knowledgeable....all done in a timely manner. Ive had the pleasure of dealing with Richard Castillo with my purchases and he very knowledgeable and made everything easy.Great store whether in-store or online!
I was told a 4 year wait at one major chain, and a 2 year at another major chain, and I contacted these guys, and not only were they very easy to communicate with, but they also were able to get my precious limited edition Les Paul in 3 days flat. It was the nicest example I have ever seen, and by far exceeded every expectation I had. It was packed extremely well also. I would absolutely recommend this company and I will be back!
Fantastic Customer Service!!Leo was super helpful to me! I ordered a guitar on Xmas as a birthday gift and needed it shipped super fast. Leo was so responsive and friendly and got the guitar here in a few days! The guitar is in perfect condition. Will definitely recommend this store to any musicians looking for quality and impeccable customer service!
I purchased a used guitar frm Music Zoo all the way frm Sydney Australia. Sight unseen I was nervous - but when I emailed the store directly…Jessica was so helpful, courteous and answered all my questions promptly. Low and behold it arrived after only 5 days!!! And everything she described to me was absolutely spot on. It’s immaculate - the condition of it blew me away. Just as she said. I didn’t get any of the ‘hard sell’ frm her - I so appreciated that because I was in knots about this as we’re in lockdown here and I couldn’t play one of these in person. The brand has an exemplary reputation - but it was her service and manner that got me over the line. The guitar was packed extremely well, arrived so beautiful and clean, well set up…new strings and OMG was pretty much in tune after all that travelling!!! Shipping wasn’t cheap but boy to have it in 5 days?!!! It was worth it - UPS provide a great service and I knew the cost up front so no surprises. It was shipped the day of purchase!!! Thanku Music Zoo so much. Highly recommended!!! And some!!!! I’m truly thrilled :)
The customer service here was something that I havent experienced in a long time. I was so happy that I got the exact guitar I wanted in great condition and clearly checked / tuned before shipping. Rose at the Music Zoo was so awesome. It was tough finding this exact guitar because it is a limited run but these guys came through. It was a tough sale, I hope I wasnt a difficult customer. Thank you so much. I wouldnt hesitate to shop at the Music Zoo again. Words cant describe my gratitude!
Thanks a bunch To the Music Zoo and in particular Rose who helped me with my recent purchase of a Gibson Les Paul classic. Without in store shopping available a great store associate is super important and Rose was spot on with her evaluation of the one I picked out and it does indeed ROCK!Thanks Rose and thanks music zoo!!!!
I apologize for the delay Jess! My father, who is 80+ years old was so wanting a Martin acoustic Guitar and The Music Zoo had maybe the only New one left in the country at the time. Worked with Jess a few days and was finally able to figure a way to be able to purchase it for my Dad. Jessica Jess could not have been more helpful and an absolute pleasure to work with. She was amazing and dont think it all wouldnt have come together like it did without. My father was so impressed, he called her the following week (or so) and purchased an amp for his new guitar. She took the time to ensure he was getting the right amp for his needs and turns out it was less than I was even thinking. Want to thank Jess for everything and anyone looking to contact The Music Zoo looking for amazing assistance, high knowledge, customer support and service needs to contact them and ask to speak to her. She was amazing for me and my father and am certain she will do the same for everyone! Amazing experience! A+++++ Thanks again Jess!
Tremendous experience. Excellent selection and very fast shipping. Music Zoo is certainly a trusted name in music and their various financing options provide customers with alternatives when considering their next investment. Now I have the exact guitar I wanted at a very competitive price through a business I admire.
Never review anything but they deserve it! Was looking for a limited edition Fender jazzcaster and they had it. I emailed them to make sure it was in store/brand new condition, and they replied within a couple days. As soon as they told me it was good, i ordered it through their eBay store. Ordered it Saturday. It came the next Friday. I live in California and was happy it didn’t come damaged and I didn’t have to wait long. I opened it up and it was brand spanking new. Loved it. Had a great experience would definitely buy from them again.
Eric and Leo at Music Zoo were great to work with on my recent PRS Goldtop purchase. The Music Zoo is great and Id shop there again for sure. I love that they post 1st &12th fret neck thickness dimensions along with guitar weights and other helpful info that helps us shoppers figure out what were buying.
I recently emailed The music Zoo regarding a guitar they had on their website. I received a prompt response from Richard Castillo. Richard was very helpful and I ultimately purchased the guitar. The guitar was shipped, arrived quickly, was well packed, and exactly as expected.
The WOW FACTOR of my customer experience at The Music Zoo is just that, WOW. First the place itself is pure guitar heaven, with seemingly tons around to view, and play. The stores vibe is very chill, and relaxed. I was in the market to upgrade my guitar from my entry level classical. Shopped around at the chains, online, you know the drill. Dealt with Rich Castillo: calm, knowledgeable and flat out nice. Pointed me in the direction of the Yamaha Trans Acoustic, which I ultimately bought. We actually had a miscommunication, amicably, over whether the Gig Bag was included. Website says email the owner, anytime, so I did. Tommy responded immediately, while overseas on vacation, and long story short, they made it right, and then some! Price points you ask: I did my research, and they were dead on target, as good or better than the chains, or online. Now I rarely go to a store, virtually every purchase I make is online. But a guitar is personal, and I wanted real brick and mortar, with a staff to talk to, and qualified techs to service my Yamaha, and whatever guitar comes next. Music Zoo is now my place; Im a lifer. HIGHLY recommended.
I have recently bought 2 guitars from the Music Zoo, within the last 2 months. I couldnt be more pleased with the inventory choices, fast communication, and top service. The sales person i dealt with was Eric Donovan on both occasions. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Coming to the store from NYC - he made sure the instruments were setup and ready to be tried out for as long as I need, and also had a few other selections to check out as well.Being from the City, with lots of options to choose from - ive always ended up buying my guitars at Music Zoo in the last 10+years. If you need a good guitar - go see Eric and the folks at Music Zoo. Easy trek and easy decision.
I’ve been looking for an EVH Wolfgang ever since Eddie’s unfortunate passing. Probably like most fans of EVH I wanted one of his guitars so I could pay homage to the king of Rock guitar players. Being a novice guitar player I was not only hoping to find a good price on one but actually find one in stock. After scouring reverb.com for months I came across this brand new 2020 Wolfgang standard in gloss black for $100 off from The Music Zoo. I decided to buy it directly from your website hoping you’d receive more profit on it then if I had bought it on reverb. I received it in under two days (free shipping), fantastic service. Thank you for the phenomenal deal and for making my dream a reality.
I had some questions about a purchase that I wanted to make and communicated on email and was knocked out by the level of support that I got when I wasnt even a customer yet. I went to the store and dealt with Rose and couldnt believe how helpful someone could be. The store is amazing. It is truly guitar heaven, giving you the privacy of rooms to check out the equipment in private. Their service is amazing with excellent pricing and fast delivery. If you have ever gone to one of the box stores and have been ignored by the sales staff, you have to go to The Music Zoo and sample the incredible inventory and professional staff that greets you and takes care of you.Ask for Rose, she is fantastic!!!!
My search for an EVH hard case for my lefty Wolfgang Special was not going well to say the least. I had spent hours searching and submitting info requests to multiple retailers, some of whom I never got a response from or if I did, said little more than we cant get one or we can get you a righty case...it should fit. When I came across The Music Zoo site, it showed they carried the exact item I was looking for, but to email for more info. I figured if or when I got a reply, it would be like all the others....boy was I wrong!Within a half hour, I received a reply from Jessica. She told me they could indeed get me one, how much it would cost, and when I could expect to receive it as with most everything EVH, they are on backorder. We emailed back and forth multiple times and she was prompt, very knowledgeable, and professional when answering my questions. The customer service she provided was way more than I was accustomed to or expected based on my previous experiences. Now, not only do I have the case on order, I also decided to add another guitar and amp to my collection because of the amazing service Jessica provided. She is awesome to deal with and because of her, The Music Zoo has a loyal new customer from Maine. Thanks again, and rock on Jess!!
Buy with confidence. The Music Zoo sells only the finest and respects customers with competitive prices. Rose was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, timely and most importantly honest. I made a couple of consignment deals and also bought a Strat outright over the last two weeks. The Strat was the best one I’ve ever played and set up well to my specs. However, there was a glitch in another order I had placed, no fault of The Music Zoo, but the item was defective from the factory and I wouldn’t have noticed until months later. Rather than send me a defective item, they informed me immediately. That is incredible service and because of this, I WILL buy my next high dollar item from them. Cant speak highly enough. Awesome.
I bought a 1900.00 dollar premium bass with case separate bass came totally unplayable setup was not even looked at must less checked intination was so far off could not tune. No owners manual or paper of any kind. I bought a a fretless same brand from Sweetwater last year they have the serial number on them I keep them as part of my investment I called the sales person but still no no paperwork.BAD CHOICE Of A MUSIC SUPPLIER. I will not be doing business with them anymore.
The Music Zoo has a beautiful new location. I recently attended a guitar event there and it was a great opportunity to learn more about Martin. The Martin people were on hand and answered my questions and recommended certain guitars for my different playing styles. Though I did not purchase a new guitar that day..... it is on the horizon.kudos to the staff for their patience and professionalism during this event. Ive been there several times... and each time... I become more familiar with the staff... such a nice group of people.congrats and lots of luck at the new location.cheers.C-Diddy
Contacted Music Zoo about purchasing a New Epiphone Les Paul Classic in ebony, they responded fast and where very kind and helpful. They offered me 10% off this brand new guitar. I would highly recommend taking your business to music zoo. They are awesome. Will do business again
I ordered a few things about two-and-a-half months ago; two straps (of which Ive received only one), strap locks, and some guitar strings. Ive had more difficulty with receiving my items than I thought would/could have been necessary.I know that times are rough right now, but its taken dozens of emails back and forth to get to the point where I dont know if Ill ever get my stuff. Multiple emails were exchanged, all to make sure my order didnt get forgotten. It STILL was forgotten regardless of whatever Leo was doing. As of the last conversation I had with Leo. I now apparently need to wait even longer for my items; since enough time has passed that I guess one of the items I wanted is out of stock again and other items have to be fulfilled in order of who placed their order firstIn short, I ordered multiple items months ago. Ive waited, provided my info multiple times to verify that I was still waiting for it, and now you guys tell me that my orders been set back, again.Leo has not emailed me back since the 18th.All I want at this point is for you guys to know that Im really struggling with your services right now; and I still want my stuff.
What a great store! I didnt even know your store existed. Brought my Martin guitar in for a restring and while I waited I roamed around. Just had to play the mini Taylor and then some high end guitars that guys like me dream of having one day. Maybe one day you could have a demo on that foot pedal rig, it was impressive. See ya soon, thank you for the friendly service
I love this spot. Awesome store, great vibe, incredible selection of high end gear. Garrett (who is a really cool guy and great salesman) takes great care of me--Ive bought multiple instruments from him. There is never any pressure, the sales process is always super easy and I never feel intimidated to pick up a great axe to try out. I will only buy my guitars from here--no reason to go anywhere else.
I will never shop anywhere else ! Great staff. If you need info you can email them and youll have a response within an hour or so. I purchased a guitar at about 11AM and by 1pm I had a tracking number. They also track your shipments and check to see if you got your package on time !
Very Cool Guitars but the sales service is so bad I regret every time I buy something. I always think I should have bought it at another store.Sometimes the employees will plug in and play so loud you cant hear yourself on the other side of the store. They sell expensive guitars with out checking them firstMight do a photo shoot in the middle of the day and take up an entire guitar roomThey say they will email you about gear and dont. Also watch out for used gear being sold new.Any positive review of this place is either friends or people that like playing high end guitars for free.
This place is really nice. I went in on a whim and found a huge selection of nice guitars. All different rooms to play in. The place is very neat and clean although it is brand new so it should be. The staff was kind and helpful and not intrusive while I was playing some guitars. Definitely a place to check out if youre a guitarist. They have really nice stuff there.
This was my first experience purchasing a high end instrument at the Music Zoo online. I discuss the guitar I wanted to purchase via e-mail and cell.I was impressed with their promptness and professional attitude. These guys have a passion for what they do and are interested in helping you before and after the sale. Unlike other web retailers, they want to make sure that the guitar is exactly what you want. They offer suggestions about similar guitars and have a knowledge base that is second to none. A seamless professional deal from beginning to finished.Keep up the great work guys! Greg
I reached out to the store by email to see if I could do a trade in for a guitar on the web site. Eric responded with an offer and answered all my questions. He walked me though my options and we made a deal. From the very first email to the final purchase Eric did everything possible to accommodate my needs. Great Experience!!!!
I could not say enough kind words about the experience I had with this company. Their customer service is out of this world and their flexibility to make the financing possible is appreciated. Rosemarie was amazing, and very quick to respond and assist with placing an order! Definitely would order from them again!!
The head tech, Peter, did a marvelous job on two of my most precious acoustic guitars. He kept me informed along the way and totally accommodated my timely needs as I’m a performing musicians. I will certainly return to his shop for all my needs and his pricing is more than reasonable!
Went to the Music Zoo for the first time. I was looking for a Martin D-35 Woodstock edition. They had one and now its mine.Rich Castillo could not have been more courteous or helpful. It was a great experience. The store is the nicest music store ever. Great job !. Ill be back.
Can I give The Music Zoo six stars? I bought a PRS SE Pauls Guitar after my sales associate there, Rose Reina, had sent me pictures of the actual guitar they had in stock. Friendly, prompt, helpful service with all my questions answered. The guitar arrived in perfect condition and is everything I hoped it would be. My American Deluxe Stratocaster has suddenly found itself playing second string (so to speak), which surprised me as I really love that guitar. My Les Paul is in the closet and now for sale. If you are shopping on line for a guitar, or there in person, please give this store a look.
The Music Zoo is one of my favorite music stores on Long Island. They are geared toward Guitars. The selection is amazing and they carry some of the best brands you can find. Youre able to handle and play some of the finest instruments in a friendly environment with no one leaning on you to buy. Their guitar show this weekend was outstanding as well. Always a pleasure to visit the Music Zoo.
Just got a beautiful 2012 american deluxe tele from the music zoo. what a pleasure it was dealing with them. friendly, helpful people. very nice showroom with plenty of rooms to try out guitars. pete, the guitar tech did a great job and set up my guitar for me. it was perfect when i picked it up. rich was helpful too. the exact opposite of that big box store chain( hint G.C.) that has become an impossible place to deal with. i highly recommend the music zoo. Ill be back.
Jessica from The Music Zoo is who I dealt with. She sold me the best Stratocaster I have ever seen. She is an honest top shelf saleswoman and would make anyone proud. She is very responsive to emails, phone calls, and just getting back to you. She also knows the gear very well. Thanks Jessica, you are an asset to The Music Zoo! I will be buying more gear soon (: Shane
Not a big fan of buying a guitar I have not seen or heard online. I could not find this guitar in stock anywhere near me. Wanted to look at the Washburn Woodline guitar with cedar top as option (WLG110SWCEK). Music Zoo had one slightly discounted (older stock I guess). Contacted them and Jessica Koves responded with a great summary of the guitar and actually had it in her hands to look it over and answer my questions. I do not know Jessica, but based on her honest opinion of the guitar, I took a chance and ordered it. I ordered on Wednesday evening and it was on my doorstep Friday.... Nervously opening the box like a kid at Christmas, I was really excited. I was not disappointed. I had expected to be buying a used guitar. Dont think this was used hardly at all. Original case had all paperwork and accessories you would see with new guitar in original packaging. I looked guitar over carefully and found no noticeable flaws. Gave it a quick tune and smiled from ear to ear on first strum!! It was exactly the tone I was looking for. Setup was spot on for my needs with a nice low action. No buzzing or other issues right out of the box. I am a fairly new player, and while I fell in love with a Martin all hog guitar sound, I could not justify the expense until I could do it justice with my playing ability. Looked high and low for reasonable cedar top option that might give me a little more on the warmth tone scale than spruce top and give me a 1 3/4 nut width for my digits. You can look at the specs on this guitar on Washburn site. I could not be happier with this purchase. For the price point I paid and the features of the guitar, I would like you to find a better deal for a solid wood cedar guitar. I cant wait to plug this in and play around with the mic/piezo blend option. Thanks Jessica and Thank you Music Zoo. You have given me at least a little faith in online shopping...
Eric Donovan was an outstanding sales rep, and this is clearly an awesome company to work with. The employees care very much about what they do and are quick to create a positive and genuine experience with their clients. I live in MN but will definitely do all of my future business with The Music Zoo solely based on their fantastic inventory and customer service. Thank you again, Eric!
The best place to shop for all the music equipment that I need. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Jessica Koves and Eric Donovan were the sales reps who helped me. Very satisfied with the service and overall experience. I would definitely recommend The Music Zoo to all my friends.
Customer service in their showroom is horrible. I asked to see a Dunable Asteroid guitar and the associate said its in the warehouse downstairs. I assumed that meant he would go down and bring the guitar upstairs. Nope, he just sat at the desk and ignored me for 10 minutes until I left. You would think theyd be interested in selling a $2,000 guitar, but apparently not. Friends also visited the showroom and were also ignored by the associates. So I guess its not just me.
The store is in what is almost a tiny little mall, its actually really cool, but may be tricky for a few seconds when first arriving. Kind of adds to the vibe in a nice way imo. The shop itself is uniquely amazing. Its very very vast, but feels intimate the entire time. The staff were EXACTLY what you want in a music store: To feel welcome and not pressured. They nail that. Now, I can go on in detail about my entire experience of this place. I drove in about 1.5 hours away from NJ with the hopes of finding a great guitar because I really really needed one asap. I found a 2019 Les Paul Tribute that is absolutely amazing. I dont know who helped me out with that I forget his name, but thank you again! But, here is the best part about this place, and the reason I will come back again and again. The new guitars on the showroom floor are not banged up! How refreshing! I closely examined every guitar I played that day, and I am a borderline OCD type person. The showroom floor, or rather, floors, are not what you are used to seeing. Thankfully. Also, they have a warehouse right in the back where another huge amount of guitars are kept all safe in their respective boxes and cases. Take my money.P.S. - You may be disappointed by the Gates of Heaven if you have a gander at their Fender showroom.
Just came from the Captain Kirk Douglas ( The Roots) clinic/ SG giveaway. Kirk and his power trio were really smoking! I like the low key approach of the sales staff here. They are very knowledgeable and obliging. My sales associate, Mark, was so helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. He really went out of his way a few times. Heck of a nice guy. They have an awesome selection of fine instruments. I recently sacked an absolutely incredible Taylor 812CE in honey sunburst finish. I couldnt be more stoked. Fabulous instrument, so happy that I found this place.
Best Store Out ThereIve purchased 3 basses, 6 guitars, power amps and pedals from these guys. Staff is a group of die hard musicians that are real problem solvers and know the product Their salespeople dont judge on the style of music that you plsyService is first rate. I had an issue with my 87 Ibanez RG 550 tremolo that I bought and their tech solved the problem right awayThese are the only people who actually stock the high end and boutique items and know what they actually do.Talk to Rose if you call up---the woman knows her stuff dead cold and is a playerIf you are a shredder and looking for an Ibanez Jackson Chavel ESp these are the folks to see
I had an issue on the website that I created. An email was sent to the Music Zoo customer service. Given the state of customer service today, I had little hope. These people not only responded, but they called me. Eric called with not just a solution, but one that left me better off. I was not prepared for this level of effort. My issue was handled before I realized what had happened. Eric had to stop me from talking.Shop this site. Ask them questions. Let them help you with any issues. You will be treated the way a customer should be treated.
The guitar of your dreams may not actually be available! Act quick if they have something you want... no time to call and ask questions and online responses can take a couple hours or more. You better buy it now and hope they honor the return policy if its not as described. Maybe double-buy it both on the Reverb and eBay ad just to be sure and ask for a refund on one of them later. Why I say this is because I had my Holy Grail guitar (you know... one of those that youve been refreshing your Reverb and eBay feed every 30 minutes for the past 3 years to try and find) pop up this week, so I picked up the phone and immediately called in to my regular sales person to secure the deal. She answered my questions, we agreed on price and payment method via PayPal invoice. Sometime during the call, someone bought the guitar on Reverb, so instead of getting a PayPal invoice, I received a sorry it sold email. Even though Ive made (3) purchases with them in the past 2 months (including a $6,500 Les Paul), they refused to cancel the Reverb sale and honor the verbal sales agreement we just made over the phone because I was waiting on the invoice and hadnt technically completed the sale yet. It was not a courtesy hold, it was an agreed upon deal pending payment. The problem is that they simultaneously advertise everything on eBay, Reverb and their website, while at the same time, things are available in store and over the phone. Again... if its something rare, you better buy it now and ask questions later! I sure would be heartbroken if I spent an afternoon finding the guitar of my dreams in their store and walked up to the counter so be told sorry it sold on eBay 2 minutes and 17 seconds ago... nothing we can do...have a good day.Yes, I was offered a deal on my next purchase, but the guitar I was after is a 1 of 200 Gibson Angus Young Custom from 2009 and you almost never see them for sale anymore. Thanks anyway guys! Let me know in a few years when you get another one.
This is the ultimate guitar store on Long Island, possibly anywhere. Why? because the owner (Tommy C), and the staff are first and foremost Guitar enthusiasts themselves, and always look for the BEST gear to be found on planet earth. Theyre not here to deal in what everyone else deals in, but instead, they constantly search to find the ultimate best stuff : ), and showcase that for us, their guitar loving audience. Truly, with that kind of mindset as their culture the rest just falls into place. Ok, so thats out of the way, now lets talk about selection and the experience of shopping at the ZOO - want to see (literally) hundreds of Fender Custom shop teles, strats, and others side by side, plug your choices in to any type amp you like, till you find the right one for you? Well, thats done at the ZOO, and nowhere else. Need a private room /sound room to hear your potential new addition acoustically? Check. Need a staff member to tell you why the piece is cool (and theyll tell you things that they think arent cool too... they are honest to a fault)... check, - youll find it at the ZOO. Want to ask another experienced musician at the store on any given day, their opinion? Yep, you got it. Want to ask one of the staff members what pieces theyve tried and love, to help you narrow down your next purchase? Indeed, they all have favorites, and all of them like different types of gear- I love Les Pauls I love Teles Im mostly into boutique built - or Gretsch all the way Are things youll pull out of the staff if you chat them long enough. You can also trust, that if you order online, youre getting a pre-approved instrument... quite simply, the Music Zoo only deals in quality... and always make sure youre happy - its effectively risk free shopping, online, or in- store. Long Live the Music Zoo. Change nothing guys!!! Please...... : )
I recently had the opportunity to purchase a Brian Moore semi-hollow bodied guitar from the Music Zoo and I simply can NOT speak more glowingly about the quality of the instrument itself but more importantly the level of very personal customer service that I received!!! Apparently, there were initially some problems with the guitar. I was contacted by Eric Donovan ( of the Music Zoo ) whom I actually regard now as a personal friend........and he kept me informed on a regular basis with detailed information and updates regarding my purchase. He went WAY above and beyond the call of duty ( as far as I am concerned ) to make sure that I was in the loop and happy. In fact, I have requested of Eric that he be my personal intermediary regarding all future Music Zoo purchases - and there will be others!!! I also use a higher gauge of string than most and Eric made sure that this gauge WAS installed and the set up on the Brian Moore is PERFECT!!! also, the issues in question had to do with some fret problems and dead spots on the neck - well, when I got the guitar it plays PERFECTLY!!! every single note - everywhere!!! ( so major kudos to their repair and set-up crew!!! ) It is always a tricky proposition when buying an instrument on-line where you cant test drive it............BUT the Music Zoo ( and Eric Donovan ) proved themselves ( to me ) to be utterly honest, communicative, professional and impeccable in every way. My guitar is mindblowing and I would ( and will ) do business again with the Music Zoo ANY time!!!Very SincerelyMark Haight
LONG time customer, but not great at writing reviews....TMZ is one of the few dealers in the USA, and IMHO one of the BEST places to buy gear. Same inventory as the big box, high turnover guys, but better pricing, better customer service, better gear knowledge, and oh yeah, cool as F*-K.Through the years, Ive been a supporter of TAG, Suhr, PRS, Soldano, Friedman, /13, Morgan, but also FMIC (EVH, Jackson/Charvel), Gibson CS and Ibanez as well. TMZ competes and supplies and reps those brands as professionally as anyone in the world, if not more so (IMHO the only other store that has this level of customer support would be that one in the Hoosier state). So i pulled the trigger on a Victory Amplification V30 Mk II.Upon transfer from NY to CA, the box clearly got drop-kicked by UPS, and arrived with a HUGE hole on the side. FML.I open the box, and the amps ok (testament to Victory build quality). But the foot switch casing is (slightly) bent in the corner, and the amps padded carry case is ripped (the amp ships inside of the carry case). Again FML!So.....i email Jessica Koves, MY sales rep :).Without interrogating, without inquiring, without even having to speak to me in person, Jess pulls another V30 Mk II and is sending out to CA, with EXPEDITED Shipping. Sends me an email. DONE.(Theres none of the wait ill send you a replacement, but give me your CC again and well reverse the charge when the original amps returned or send some shot of the damage so we can determine what to do. )Nope NO DRAMA - just action. And Im like, JUST WOW!Now that is SERVICE....and while i had not purchased anything from TMZ since last year, Jessica Koves and the Music Zoo (before that Mark DiDonna) treated with me like i was some huge star.Even without the UPS gorilla treatment, TMZ has EARNED the right to be called one of THE BEST Music stores worldwide. And based on my experience over the years, they continue to EARN this accolade with each transaction, everyday of the year.WELL DONE!!
This week I discovered the Music Zoo....I am a martin nut and noticed some very interesting guitars on their website....So I made the trek from paramus NJ to the the store with some potential trades in toe.....Met Nathan at the counter. He was friendly, helpful and informative....The gentleman that came out and looked my trade guitars was great (sorry, dont remember his name)....he gave me a fair price and I grabbed a 0 28 custom on consignment in mint condition....during that visit I also had my eye on a 0 15sm custom....today I went back and grabbed that guitar....I talked with Eric who was great with trade in value and price negotiations....He was a gentleman, very accommodating and great to deal with....Music zoo is now my go to store for my Martin OCD issues....
Fantastic service. The Music Zoo didnt have a pickup in stock that I had originally ordered and they emailed repeatedly to keep me updated on the status, kept me in the loop and gave a discount to account for the Canadian exchange rate (they were shipping to me in Toronto).
Music Zoo is Stand Up when it comes to their customers. Its tough when things out of your control go haywire. In retail when that happens, people are prone to thinking they will get the raw end of the deal. Music Zoo didnt let that happen when my new used Taylor T5z went missing during transit. Within a week I had a better than expected replacement in hand. Thanks Eric and Rick for the outstanding service and genuine customer care. R.A. Jones, Penhook, VA
Do no trust this people, I have bought instrument online and paid for it + shipping costs. I ask abut it and received many extra pictures and info that it superb condition, after few days i got email. They said that wont ship it, due tech problems, I answered that it is used and I do accept tech problems and I can not get it. Im very disappointed for this customer service and Im going to open court case against this company.
I purchased the Martin d16e Rosewood received it in about 5 business days and it is in perfect condition the actions perfect the sound is incredible it is truly a Martin anyone looking for a cheap D-28 this is the guitar for you good luck finding one theyre very hard to find Jessica was very helpful at the zoo just a nice person
I just want to express my gratitude on the fine treatment and customer service that eric and the rest of the staff at the music zoo provided me ! Both times I’ve brokered deals I’ve been treated fairly and this last time I got the acoustic guitar of my dreams cheers you guys are the bestLenny lashley
Like the guitar they sent me. Looked at the receipt to find that even though they promise free shipping I was charged for it anyway. When I called to inform them I was given the run around.Unfortunately, I will give them no more business.Watch out for hidden costs.Too bad.
Just drove 3 + hours to look at what was suppose to be a suhr modern case as listed. Thank god I asked them to put one of there moderns in to see if it fits because it did not. Do you think you might want to at least go online and correct your mistake before you piss another customer off. Not impressed will shop elsewhere. Thanks for nothing.
Called about a fuzz pedal spike to Rose and got great advice from a professional that actually plays guitar ended up going there to make a purchase also bought a guitar there a couple of weeks ago very helpful staff best place to buy anything guitar related thank you for being so helpful

2022-01-21The Music Zoo is a fantastic store to purchase a guitar from. I was able to purchase an exclusive color Music Man Axis from them, and 5 stars for the price, shipping time and support throughout the process. The guitar has exceeded all expectations!! I can’t thank Eric enough for such an amazing guitar!

2022-05-12Awesome experience with Eric Donovan at the Zoo. Picked up a59 Murphy M2M Heavy Aged Orange Sunset. This one has one of the slimmest neck profiles imaginable. Such a joy to play and a true work of art.

2022-02-17I have several guitars including 3 Martins. When I saw the Martin DJr10 I had to have one.I normally buy from Guitar Center, but they did not have in stock. So I took a chance on buying a guitar on line from The Music Zoo. Everything from my first contact with Rosemarie to getting the guitar was great and I would highly recommend these folks.I will be doing business with them again. Thanks!

2022-03-25I was looking for a Yamaha Revstar Professional and I might have found the only one available at The Music Zoo. Its a beautiful guitar and the store was very accommodating with my shipping request and it was delivered promptly.

2022-03-15I was near the store, and had found a guitar that I was interested in (online). I called to setup an appointment for the same day (ten minutes after they opened), but was told that all appointments had been filled. I told the guy that I was not from the area, and putting together $3500 was not an easy feat, so it might be awhile before I could be back in the area, and who knows when I would have $3500 available again, but they still could not find any time for me to stop in. I really cannot rate the store itself, so I am just rating the outcome of my experience, and not the actual store. They also tried to sell the guitar to me without me seeing it or playing it, and I said that I already have Sweetwater for that, where I have built a relationship and trust with that company. The major benefit of “The Music Zoo” was that I could see and play the guitar. I would have to drive almost 3 hours home afterwards as well.Again, this is not a review of the store or their people, just saying that after I spoke with them, and as excited as I was, I currently feel like 2 out of 5 stars right now, and annoyed enough to share my thoughts with the guitar buying community. I couldn’t even imagine telling one of my customers “Sorry, I am so busy I can’t see you right now , please call me back when it’s more convenient for me”, would my customer wait 1 or 2 weeks , maybe a month? oh well they must be killing it currently, so there is that for them. The person I spoke with was totally respectful enough as well, just bummed me out, that’s all.

2022-04-24I was searching far and wide for my 5150iii 2×12 combo amp in ivory. I came across This store on REVERB and he actually had it in stock and gave me free shipping! As I was stressed because so many sites said they had them in stock until you went to buy and suddenly theyre in back order. Not at THE MUSIC ZOO. He verified it in stock and was ready to ship. AND! IT SHIPPED THE NEXT MORNING! My son Grim Daisy ( follow him on tiktok) bought this amp for me and its priceless! You cant go wrong with The MUSIC Zoo!

2019-02-24Awesome store. I was apprehensive about ordering an expensive guitar online without playing it first, however the Music Zoo had an ESP M-II in stock in a limited run Blue. Through body neck, blue quilted maple top, alder body, Seymour Duncans, Original Floyd Rose, ebony neck, you get the idea. Called them up and Rose, my sales associate, was fantastic. Completely painless experience, answered all my OCD questions. I can be really detailed when buying stuff and she was very patient and knowledgable. The guitar shipped out promptly and arrived safely and was well packed It had a decent setup and plays and sounds amazing. It did arrive with one pickup a slightly different model than advertised, so they shipped me the advertised one that arrived within 2 days. No hassles, no questions, just great service. Having first hand experience with this I have every confidence that they will do what it takes to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied. Very positive experience and will definitely contact them again for future purchases.
