Excellent historic place where to eat and stay! Thank you for the collaboration with the Cliff Dwellers in Chicago enabling the visit to the warm and home like feel of your club and its residences. Dinner was amazing. Staff were all welcoming, kind, and helpful. We even had a tour! We will certainly stay again to take In all of the historically relevant and interesting details.
A beautifully preserved arts devoted building in the Gramercy Park square area including several galleries open to the public and many other public art related activities. Members only areas include dining with dress code and studio/apartments. More history and details on a decent website.
Dont miss an opportunity to visit this landmarked treasure facing Washington Square Park. The admission is free with reservations. The art collections are well presented and can be viewed in an hour. Take time to appreciate the National Arts Club itself. Built in the 1800s it represents that time and the extraordinary talent pool needed to build it.
A really nice building with a really great interior. The staff are really friendly, and the doorman at the front reception, as well as the coat check staffer is especially nice to everyone. The programming was superb, I went in for a talk about Artificial Intelligence and it was a great talk. Bathrooms are a little hazardous since doors open like a two-way swinging, double doors, and with extra care and caution for others, you can totally avoid knocking into someone. Great space!
This place can be hit or miss. Essentially quite conservative the art worlds general pivot to figurative work has made it easier for this venu to exhibit more profound and contemporary art. A recent show featuring contemporary woman artists is excellent. See pics Ive posted including Kyle Staver who shows at Zurcher Gallery,. Run by the incomparable Gwenolee Zurcher.
The National Arts Club is an impecable place to escape for artists and elite New Yorkers. New artists display their original art and events are held concerning culture, fashion, music and arts. All the art is proudly shared for members of the beautiful National Arts Club. Costume events can be a fun evening. The club is beautiful.
I stayed here and when i arrived the room wasnt made up! There was a half eaten pizza on the table and the bed wasnt made. The staff were really rude about it too. If never recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely horrible experience. I think the reason there arent more reviews like mine is because other members are afraid to speak up, because I know that other members have had similar experiences.

2022-03-05Spectacular space draped in history and filled with various art . Everyone that works here is friendly . You feel special being in these walls . The event I attended was free with optional donation . Throughly enjoyed the talk on fashion by the three costume designers . Was just long enough & very interesting . Can’t wait to come back .

2022-06-17What a phenomenal venue. The building is absolutely breathtaking with beautiful pieces of art and the architecture is detailed and exquisite. The food menu was updated as they hired a new chef and from what I understand, they offer many more items to choose from. I ordered the beet and whipped goat cheese salad and the braised lamb with vegetables on top of creamy mashed potatoes. It paired well with a Cabernet. For dessert I ordered a berry crisp crumble with gelato and a cappuccino. Everything was delicious and I didnt leave a morsel on the plate. If you have an opportunity to visit, its definitely worth the 2 hours of traffic for us (since we are coming in from Long Island) and it was a wonderful experience. Take a moment and soak in the decor and the beautiful stained glass dome in the bar area. You will not be disappointed!

2021-05-10This is a private club. Most of the members are in the arts. The building on Gramercy Park in Manhattan that the club is located in was the residence of Samuel Tilden, a political figure in the 1800s who ran for President. There is currently an art exhibit at the club. Admission to the exhibit and therefore to some of the building is free for the general public- just go to their website and sign up. Though the works in the exhibit dont differentiate itself from much of what you see in galleries, its not bad and worth seeing. The building the club is in is definitely worth seeing .

2022-04-05The NAC is one of my favorite places in the city. Hidden gem, taste of old New York and a sanctuary for the Arts. Become a member! Or befriend one if you can 😉

2021-12-15As sumptuous as the surroundings are, the friendly staff(and EXCEPTIONAL bartenders) make you feel like you are in your own living room. The Clubs location makes it the ideal launching pad for exploring New York. After a full day of hectic NY experiences, I always love coming back home to tranquil Gramercy Park !
