When I walked into the store I was not greeted by one single person, it was almost as if I was the shopper AND the worker. Skylar Wolf, the manager, was the most unprofessional worker Ive spoken to in a while. He was rude, blunt & dare I say aggressive, it made me very uncomfortable & will not be shopping this location again. Additionally, while searching through the reviews for this particular store, I saw that a worker, Craig, who was working IN STORE when I was there has been leaving multiple reviews in an attempt to try to bump up the stores clout. Very unprofessional store, if I could give my experience a 0/10 I would, but I cant so Ill give it a 1/10.
I replaced a ten year old backpack and jacket. Expensive up front but lot of value in the long run. Also the staff was super cool, knowledgeable, and fun. All in the light of being ravaged because of the holidays. I cant remember my cashiers name but she was dope and we had some good laughs. Plus she showed me how to roll my bulky jacket down to a small size for easy travel. Like a boss.
I agree with the other reviewers- the staff here are so friendly and kind! We came in briefly to try on coat sizes for my partner (who will order his north face winter jacket online.) it was obviously that each staff member was well-trained, incredibly knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help us even though we weren’t buying a coat then and there.
BE WARY OF 5 FAKE STAR REVIEWS HERE! Ive spoken to some of the staff in this Soho location and I remember their names because of the conversations we had, but as I wondered what the other 5 star reviews were, I recognized the names very well, EMPLOYEES IN THIS SOHO LOCATION are writing their own reviews! Craig and Pheobe are writing fake reviews.
Came out of town and was very disappointed in my service I received. A man name skylar wolf approached me attempting to help but only led to further disappointment and poor customer service. He was rude, acting aggressive in his responses to my questions, over all I’m very unpleased with the service and hope when I visit again he will no longer be there.
Im sure the store is nice in person but not a single human answers any phones in this store or any of the others. District Leaders/Managers should be pushing for someone to respond to customer calls. Im not traveling over an hour to a store unless I can have questions answered first. Dont even get me started on the companys customer service chats...
Matt the store manager was amazing! He helped me pick out a very nice Navy Blue Jacket and was knowledgable and patient. Since mediums are popular, every jacket that I wanted was sold out in the store but Matt helped me find my perfect match online. My shopping experience here was incredible and highly recommend anyone looking for something warm and comfortable to stop by this location while shopping in Soho.
Healthcare discount was respected and applied 50 percent right off my amount. Great customer service by Gabriel! He went above and beyond to get us the right sizes. Most men’s large size coats were already out of stock. But Gabriel found us right size in the back. Nice pleasant shopping experience
Best North Face Store I’ve ever been to. An older gentleman helped me throughout the store. I believe he was a manager. He has great customer service! I didn’t go in there to buy anything but the more he broke down different styles of what I may need, I end up getting a coat and hiking boots. No Pressure! And I love my hiking boots. I will be returning to check out more.
I’ve been wearing north face since I was a kid. We were notified that healthcare employees were offered 50% off, my husband has been through hell this year at the hospital we went in so I can treat him for Christmas!NONE OF THE ITEMS he asked for were allowed on the discount, the team was super helpful except the lady behind the counter, with the glasses. She seemed immediately annoyed that he presented his ID for the discount. Not to mention went out of her way to make sure we didn’t get an discount on non discount items. I spoke to three team members and no one mentioned any limited items for the discount, until we went to pay. The website does not present it well and it’s really disheartening after how hard of a year he has had to be told no repeatedly. DO BETTER NORTH FACE!We walked away and didn’t buy anything, didn’t went to give them any money after the way they made us feel.
Brianna was very helpful and friendly with my matter. I won’t say what it was because it’s NYC and if 1 person gets an inch, everyone will want 200 miles. But Brianna didn’t have to accept my requested exchange for whatever reason, but she did so and was very kind and helpful about it. Even got some $$ back. Yes yes yes. The staff was very friendly as well and I’ll def be back to this store because of it.
Unacceptable customer service. I purchased a jacket on sale that turned out to be the wrong size. I spoke to a representative at length over the photo who told me I could come in and exchange. We discussed the price I had paid vs the price on the tag. I make sure to mention that I got it on sale at a different location, and at no point does she mention me paying full price for the exchange, or even a possible price difference. When I get to the store, she is at lunch break so I speak to another sales representative. He is nice and helpful and mentions ‘a little price difference’ as he only has the newer model. We make it all the way to the transaction before he tells me that the ‘little’ price difference in fact means twice the amount. I am stunned that this was never mentioned to me and explain that I now waisted hours of my day, and that I was misled on the phone. He chooses to do nothing, while admitting that I should have been informed over the phone of the price difference and he will not let me wait to speak to the woman I spoke with on the phone. I return home with the wrong size jacket and an overall bad feeling. This is unacceptably customer service, waisting hours of my day, offering no help, and providing at best misleading communication. I will return the jacket, and purchase one with another brand.
Ive never owned a northface jacket, so i wasnt rally sure where to begin. Brian was so helpful from the very start. We talked about what i would want to use the jacket for, and then we explored a few different styles and fits - also different sizes, to see which one i felt most comfortable in. Brian was by my side every step of the way to help me decide. I really appreciated how knowledgable he was about the brand, and it was obvious how passionate he was about it - he truly believed these were the best jackets, and that I needed to own one asap (and he was so right. I did need one =))I also learned from Brian about the lifetime warranty - which I didnt know about prior to stepping into the store. With all of his help, and then learning there was a lifetime warranty - I knew I was going to walk out of the store with a new winter jacket.Brian went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of from the point when I started asking him questions, all the way until I literally walked out of the door. In that short time at the store - i felt i was in great hands with a trustworthy person who was being honest with me, and he was also super personable ( like - can we be friends?)Brian seems like a true gem for Northface - based on my experience, someone who really should be recognized for exceptional work and passion for what they do, going above and beyond - and passing that great energy on to others. Thank you, Brian!
Great location for fashion it the store has a very odd incense smell inside , I was warned by the staff but still decided on purchasing the item , lets just say I left it in my car for two days but the smell was worse than I thought!, clothing g was exchanged at the time Square location

Even since they didn’t have my size everyone was trying to find one and accommodate me without being pushy and just great customer service. Didn’t know northface made shoes these days too but what a wonderful place and a great store to check out

2022-02-05From the moment I entered to the moment I left the store not one person greeted us. Terrible because they had 3 employees in the front. The store is pretty expensive. For a not so helpful experience might as well order online and avoid the awful experience. I came in to check the sizes of a backpack I was interested in but I rather just spend my money in Nordstrom or Urban outtfitters if that’s the case.

2022-03-17Staff are great and is clean and bright inside. Only problem is that the stock isnt great (they recommend the site to get what you want.) I went in to get an emergency jacket, so if youre looking for something asap like gloves or a jacket, its a good place.Also, they give you 10% off if you create an account/already have an account. 🤑

2022-08-14Great service, but the store always smells strongly of some kind of incense or perfume that gets in all the products. It takes 2 or 3 washes to get the smell out of their clothes and I bought a piece of luggage there that made all my clothes I put in it smell for a year. No smells at the uptown northface store.

2022-03-08Great customer service !!! I walked in and was greeted by the Store manager Skylar .. He was very nice and helpful.. I overheard him tell his team to help me once I walked downstairs.. I was looking for a 1996 retro nupste in black but they didn’t have my size and 2 gentlemen, Fou & Tim approached me and immediately were so nice and helpful. They suggested different coats and The guy with Glasses (Tim) pretty much made a great connection with me . He gave me 10 percent off and helped me ring my items up.. As I was leaving the security guard was very nice as well and the front team !! Great job ! I’ll be back - Mike

2022-02-05I walked in and immediately had the most helpful and kind person helping me. He showed me the hiking boots that I came in for, then told me about the different types. He got my size and made sure I was happy with the fit. Then he helped me with snow pants too, getting me the right weight of material. All the people who work there were very friendly. A beautiful store too! I look forward to shopping there again soon.

2022-02-06Phenomenal service! When I walked in, I basically had a personal stylist during my shopping experience. The retail associates are very knowledgeable and we’re able to help me find the jacket I need. I was helped by Jamal and Sklyar, both of the managers who have extensive product knowledge. They also really connected with my on a personal level so I will be shopping there again for all of my north face products.

2022-01-25Very friendly and informative sales team. I had bought a jacket for my son but it was a little too big. The person helping me gave me my options since they were out of the size he wanted. The guy was so detailed that he was able to tell that he had even tried to adjust it to make it smaller. He knew I really liked that jacket and wanted him to have that specific one just smaller . He told me my options. I went and checked out the colors that were still there. As I decended someone greeted me on the second floor and knew what I was looking for already and led me to the correct area. Great teamwork I felt very well taken care of.

2022-03-15Terrible experience. No one tried to help me in the store. Moreover, the young guy downstairs told me that the fitting room was closed and that I could try the clothes in front of the mirror. I got surprised when I went upstairs and the fitting room was open. In addition, the same guy yelled at me because I left the clothes unfolded behind.The North Face, you should choose your employee better! You are losing clients and money!
