Amazing place to stay and we will be back !!! We got 3 rooms for 2 nights for friends and family while traveling to the area for a celebration of life for my father. We are from the area and moved to TX many years ago. We knew the area and this home had the charm of what we grew up with. Management was incredible form communication to hospitality and then top it off with a delicious home cooked breakfast. This home is absolutely beautiful and spacious with huge rooms and sparkling clean bathrooms. We enjoyed the monster front porch all night drinking beers by the fire pit as well as took advantage of the Huge table that sat 10 people and 3 extra large pizzas. We arrived a day to late for the newly redone pool. We will be back for sure as we didn’t want to leave. We took an Uber to JFK to head home and it was only 50 min away. Beaches are a speedy 15 min away to Robert Moss’s and fishing at Captree. Book now you will not regret it one bit.-Russ
This could not have been a better choice for a friends reunion. The accommodations were outstanding, so conducive to our small group gatherings and late-night conversations over wine on the porch and in the living room area. Proximity to the marina and Bay Shore town allowed easy access to everything we needed. Liz and Jenna felt like family, as they provided just about everything we needed, including sending us off with a fantastic breakfast every morning. Will definitley return for a visit here.
Ocean Bay House was an excellent choice for our stay! The place was incredibly clean and beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and most importantly the hosts Jen and Liz were extremely welcoming and kind. Much more convenient and enjoyable than a hotel. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be staying again!
The location was amazing. The welcome from Liz was down home. Sitting on the back porch.... the property was restored top notch. Very impressive operation. It was so quiet, the windows were up when I arrived to my room. A nice cool breeze, welcome from a Texan in the middle of summer. I did quite a bit of walking. Lots to see..... one night was not enough, I will be back. Jennifer finished off the stay with a perfect breakfast that I enjoyed on the front porch. This was a perfect start to a busy week. Liz and Jen are fantastic host. The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean, and waking up to homemade pancakes and scones is definitely a plus! I had an wonderful time, would go back again 100%🥰
Highly recommend The Ocean Bay House! We recently stayed here (Nov 2020) and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. The rooms and common areas are very clean, spacious and they have hand sanitizer available all over the hotel. The house and hotel decoration are beautiful, and the breakfast provided is delicious! The hotel is just like the pictures online and the hotel management staff is extremely helpful and responsive. Also, the neighborhood is beautiful and its close to Bay Shore downtown, restaurants and shops- overall great location!Will certainly stay here again when I go back to Bay Shore.
An Absolute gem in Bayshore! Conveniently located next to the Ferry Island ferries, but you could make a relaxing trip out of just staying here! The rooms are cozy and VERY clean. The pool is perfect for these hot days and their homemade breakfast is AMAZING! Very friendly inn keepers with many suggestions for what to do in town. You will love your stay here!
What an incredible place to stay at! Clean, sanitized, friendly atmosphere, minutes from the beach and the breakfast is to die for. Honestly, havent stopped bragging about that carrot cake muffin. Drool-worthy!! With all thats going on, its been hard to get back to some semblance of normal, but they made it feel so comfortable and welcoming. Ask Colleen for the scoop on the best places to go! Definitely will be back.
Liz was an exceptional innkeeper! always asking what she could do for us. love the room and the house is spectacular close to The ferry that goes to fire Island. Would definitely recommend this B&B to friends and family:)
Superb experience. I cannot wait to return. The room is fantastic. I recommend the Seaborn suite.The ambiance of the inn and the service is next to none. I will never forget that breakfast.I initially struggled to find a place close to my in-laws in Babylon, but the location is fantastic. My fiancé enjoyed being able to walk to the town of Bay Shore for shopping.I also appreciate the effort when it comes to social distancing. My father is elderly and that is always a concern when I travel.
An absolutely beautiful home. I stayed in the Fire Island room (3rd floor)...it was spacious, exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable, and the view was lovely. Lots of attention to detail...snacks and drinks provided in room, beautiful and cozy common areas such as the front porch, back patio, and parlor areas. The community is walkable with great restaurants, screne docks, and the YMCA less than a mile away. Felt safe and secure. Please note stairs are a little steep up to the 3rd floor but I did see a perfect room of the 1st floor. Easy parking on the property. I highly recommend and would 100% return. Host was super sweet and breakfast was perfect!

My daughter, her husband, my friend and I had the luxury of staying at this beautiful house on October 12 after a day of extreme hiking on Fire Island. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting to stay in that area. Comfortable beds and wonderful, delicious breakfast.
This is a gracious guest house with beautiful, large rooms, a tasty, homemade breakfast, and many seating options both inside and out. The Ocean Bay House also has a pool with a view of the marina.
Colleen, our host, was great! She made us comfortable and fed us well. Gave us good advice for a great local restaurant. Very clean and charming.

Colleen is very nice and manages this beautiful house in master! Very comfortable bedding, ample space, breakfast with some personal specialties (its muffins are varied and delicious), we spent two very pleasant nights. In addition, Colleen knows her area by heart and is very good advice in real estate!To redo!

2021-12-30We stayed at the Ocean Bay House mid December and had one of the best B&B experiences ever. Its a beautifully renovated Victorian House with all the amenities one could ask for. The managers Liz and Jen were very professional. During our stay Liz was mainly there making sure our visit was perfect. She prepared wonderful breakfasts and allowed us to use the common areas to meet with extended family members. She was so hospitable, we could find no areas of improvement. Thank you so much Liz!

2022-03-23Liz and Jen were absolutely fantastic. They made my stay for a friends funeral just so much better. They were very personable. They made me feel at home. I felt like I was staying with friends.Breakfast was amazing. Different every day but cooked on a regular stove, not on a commercial fry-top. Eggs were perfect, bacon, fresh fruit.Absolutely not “snooty” one bit! Just a nice comfortable atmosphere.Thank you girls for such an enjoyable stay.

2022-01-03I stayed overnight in the middle of COVIDThe place was recommended by friends. It was an amazing experience. The decoration in- and outside is personal and tasteful. The room spotless and equipped with all you could need. But best of all was the hospitality by Liz an Jenn. A place to return to for a longer stay in this lovely seaside resort.

2022-02-08The Ocean Bay House was the site of our small daytime wedding reception and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. We stayed there one day on each end of the wedding and couldn’t have felt more at home. Liz and Jen were incredibly helpful with the planning of the reception as well as setting up and maintaining the flow of the day. Every dish they served was delicious and picturesque. The venue was big enough for everyone to be comfortable while intimate enough to capture the essence of the day. The house, along with the marina, made for some beautiful photos and the Seaborne Suite was the perfect room for us. Both ourselves and our guests were blown away by this tucked away gem.

2021-11-12We stayed here for an anniversary get away. The house was beautiful, and immaculately clean with charming seasonal decor. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating, and for staying in a house, it provided privacy and comfort for our stay. This bed and breakfast far exceeded the expectations I had and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing and delicious, again served at our pace and comfort. I already highly recommended this house to my friends and family. We look forward to going back in the future! Thank you so much to the hosts for making this a memorable anniversary.

2021-08-06Visited with my wife in summer 2021 and stayed for three nights. This B&B is located in a lovely property, it is well decorated, welcoming and spotlessly clean. Liz and Jen were wonderful hosts, they are very nice, and made homemade pancakes, scones and waffles every morning. There is a nice garden with a pool in the property, which is certainly a plus. The neighborhood near marina is very quiet and pleasant, and you are just a few minutes walk from main street and many good restaurants. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing escapade from the city, quiet and it is still just a ferry trip away from beautiful beaches on Fire Island. We had an wonderful time, would go back again 100%

Ive stayed there now on three occasions for a friends reunion, an overnight visit to see family, & and some of our family stayed there during my Moms final services. The managers, Liz & Jen, could not be more accommodating & hospitable and their breakfasts are always delicious-especially those homemade muffins!!

2021-08-17My husband and I live in the area. We booked the Ocean Bay House for our wedding weekend while our out-of-town families used our homes. Our experience was second to none! The B&B is stunning, quiet, and private; and Liz and Jenn are incredible! They went above and beyond. From booking to check-out, we felt like “VIP” guests! They were so kind, attentive, and accommodating as we worked out a few special wedding-related needs – and especially warm, inviting, and friendly during our stay. Without a doubt, the Ocean Bay House tops any other B&B we’ve ever visited. We can’t wait to book another “escape” to this gem in our own backyard!

2021-05-09I would gladly stay here again. Welcoming old home, quiet rooms, very clean and just enough space. Liz feels like your young friend who is there to chat and make you a spectacular breakfast. Peppy and full of positive energy, she is a brilliant start to any day. Met Christine only briefly, she is very nice (extremely pretty) Previously lived up here a few miles away in Brightwaters, perfect way to visit the old neighborhood -- never knew this was here! Ill be back.
