The Original Pancake House in other cities:
Liz is an amazing server. The food is absolutely delicious. I try to go there at least once a month. If Liz isnt there, which is seemingly incredibly rare, brooke is also super attentive and friendly. You may experience a short wait on the weekends but its worth every second of wait time.
I am visiting family in Williamsville this week and its been a few years since back at Pancake House. We had a short wait before being seated. The host was friendly and immediately acknowledged us. Once seated, the waitress came over promptly and took our beverage order, and then our breakfast order shortly afterwards. I ordered the spinach and feta omelet. My mom ordered the tropical crepes. The food came out soon after and my omelet was outstanding! Very fluffy and hot. The spinach was perfect mixed in with the feta cheese. Oh and I had a side of pancakes, also hot and perfect. My Mom enjoyed the tropical crepes as well. Everything was spot on and I highly recommend the Original Pancake House to anyone who appreciates quality food and great service.
When ever I come to Buffalo I eat here. Food is good, coffee is better than most diners. Kitchen looks clean. Servers are very pleasant to speak with. 1 star off as the restaurant does smell stale, most likely a good deep clean of the seating area would fix this. Doesnt affect the food quality.
My wife and I went to the pancake House for the first time recently. The food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the waitress treated us like we were more of a nuisance than anything else. She seemed frustrated because I wanted the gluten-free pancakes, and from that point on we were a hassle for her.
Since my hotel didn’t have any, my first stop of my trip was the Pancake House and no hotel breakfast could top this. I read about the Dutch Baby before coming in and though it takes 20mins, I needed time to kill anyway before a show in town. I liked being able to put the ingredients on myself and had a delicious eggy flavor in this baked pancake.Didn’t think I’d have to see a police officer come in and escort a terrible customer out either, which I think distracted my waitress cause she forgot my ice tea. My family owns a restaurant and I’m more than understanding that things like this happen. Will come back if I’m ever in Buffalo again.
We came in about 6:30 pm. Everyone in our group ordered a breakfast as this is what they are know for. They had a notice on the door about being short staffed and please be prepared to wait a bit longer. There was only one waitress and the hostess was also bussing tables. The kitchen appeared to be properly staffed. Several other groups came in just after we did, which strained the staff. All of our meals were fabulous. I had the Trio Crepes. One with strawberries, one with blueberries and one with cherrys. Each had a matching syrup. My wife loved her spinach and feta omelette. It was the fluffiest one I have ever seen. The others in our group all really enjoyed their meals. Our waitress (Amy?) was running hard, but still did a great job. She thanked us for our patience, but there was no need. Considering the situation she got us our food pretty quickly. We will definitely be back. One side note. Many people are used to parking on the left side of the building as you face the front. It is a lot for other businesses and they have new signs warning that cars will be towed
Absolutely amazing mushroom crepes, potato pancakes were delicious, the peanut butter waffle was spot on, the bacon was perfect, and the flavor of everything we ate was on point. Also our waitress was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean and well kept. Well be back...soon!
This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I always order a Dutch baby with whipped cream. I can never eat the whole thing but it’s worth the try. It’s always clean. The service is quick considering it takes 15 minutes to make my Dutch baby.I love the dividers. It doesn’t look uninviting. Everyone walked in with their mask. The waitress and server had their mask on the entire time.Always a pleasure eating here.
I took my friend for breakfast for her birthday. This was after they just reopened for indoor seating mid January. I hadnt had the Dutch Baby before. It was so delicious! Because of the pandemic, they bring put the plate of toppings and you make the glaze and add the strawberries yourself. I have to say, I enjoyed making it myself. It was worth the 20 min wait. No biggie though because the coffee if great and they keep it coming while youre waiting.
Bestie been talking about this spot and finally we came for a breakfast & I let me tell y’all I wasn’t disappointed. Loved the food especially the Dutch Baby Pane-cake!! So unique, different flavors, the dough made differently, and if you’re going to order this Dutch baby pancake be ready to wait 20 to 30 minutes but it’s worth it !!! Definitely coming back for some :)
I honestly just dont understand the hype with this place. Its a lot more expensive than most of the other breakfast places in the area. A tiny glass of OJ (fresh squeezed). Its good, but they served it in a bowl and when I went to drink out of it I got it all over my pants since there was OJ spillage in the bowl.We waited about 25 minutes for a table of 4 this morning at 10:50am. When we finally got our food, the waitress told us that my omelette was made incorrectly so it needed to be remade. By the time it got there, everyone at my table already finished their food. The omelette was decent, but honestly my omelette was Spot coffee from yesterday was SO much better. It was a huge waste of food too, because the omelette it gigantic! I totally forgot about that.
Delicious breakfast food with a wide variety of options. Lunch options served as well. Plan on waiting before you come in as this is a popular place. Order breakfast combos or a la carte. Vegan options available as well.Personal recommendation: fresh strawberry Belgian waffle
The breakfast is one of the best around. Ive had the western omelette and the apple pancake. The apple pancake takes a little more time to cook but tastes very good. The service is good and place is clean. Prices are around $8 to $12 a person depending on what you order. Parking is easy to find and on Sundays, expect to wait unless you go early.
I enjoyed the day entire breakfast experience. Got the feta cheese omelette and a side of pecan pancakes and everything was delicious and the serving size was enormous. The egg was super fluffy, similar to the French style of omelettes. The staff was super and the decor has a nice warm touch to it. Highly recommend it.
This is the quintessential breakfast place. Breakfast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you so please! Absolutely amazing food and very delicious coffee. If youve ever been to a breakfast place that serves pretty good food but their coffee stinks, you can appreciate having a great cup of coffee along with your great food. The pancake House is on my list of regular haunts. Delicious!
Took my family here for breakfast and it was amazing. Everyone loved all the food. And the service was great. There was a small wait(10 mins) but it was worth it. They were out of my pecan waffles I usually get but the cinnamon apple waffles I got was was like a warm apple pie inside a waffle.
Service was really good. Polite and attentive staff. Food came out quickly. I got a 2 by 4 which was 2 eggs and 4 pancakes. Just over $10. The pancakes were lighter/fluffier than what I prefer which I didnt know because I wouldve asked them to not make them that way. I also had sausage, which couldve been more done but the waitress was happy to take them back and bring back some that were more done.
I love this place! As much now, as I did as a child. Buffalo nostalgia and great memories!BUT.....the Dutch Baby is smaller than it used to be. I was sad that the raspberries werent fresh year-round. The service is always good. That is one EXPENSIVE pancake or we would go more often. Deliciousness in a dish!
They have an interesting wait list system: write your name and party size on a whiteboard, and they periodically come back and pick a name. I didnt have to wait long at all for a table on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was kind, and the food was very tasty. I had the eggnog french toast and a side of bacon, with coffee.I definitely expect to come back here.
This was literally the best breakfast Ive ever had in my whole life!! The Dutch baby and fresh squeezed orange juice were phenomenal!!! Our whole family loved everything they ordered. The food was WOW!!!!! Our waitress Rachel was super nice and friendly and gave us great tips for visiting the area. This place just made me so happy 😊! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
Visited this place for breakfast with my family. We have two young children who are well behaved. There was a long wait for food that was average. We waited 25 minutes. When we were called in, we were placed in a side room and were left waiting as they didn’t inform the waitress that we were there. I had to remind the hostess that we were in the side room and asked if they had informed the waitstaff (this after ten minutes of waiting in the side room). They were busy however I feel as if they are short handed. Food like I said was average, good overall but not amazing. Had the cherry crepes, eggs, and chocolate chip pancakes.
I went here for the first time this past weekend and it might become a normal stop. I got a huge spinach omelette and of course pancakes come with. I was able to upgrade my pancakes from regular buttermilk pancakes to peanut butter. The peanut butter pancakes were to die for! So creamy, and the strawberry syrup made it taste like a PB&J. Highly recommend others to visit!
Outstanding food ..especially the apple pancake and polish sausage omelet. The long lines and full tables are indications of how delicious the food is. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations. First come, first serve. Definitely try the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Waitress great ,pancakes too.sour dough bread as white toast terrible ,eggs were watery and overcooked easy over ,like they were poached eggs no idea how fried eggs were watery ?? Bacon looked beautiful, huge and crispy ,until you ate it ,rubbery and tough ,cheap. If I had to go back Id order pancakes only and sausage to avoid the bacon.
Great food, especially the gluten free pancakes. Hard to find a place that serves them. The only issue is that in the times of rapid Covid spreading and the mask mandates, there was a young blonde headed man that apparently thought he really didn’t need to wear a mask…at least not over his mouth and nose. He was seating people and refilling coffee and his mask covered his chin…not his nose or mouth. It’s sad and unsafe.
Food was decent quality. Prices were high, I could have gone to a higher end restaurant and got a better quality and sized meal. The waitress brought me our check with our meal before we even had one bite of our meal. I never had that happen, I might have added on a side or extra drink. Its extremely loud in there. Honestly the restaurant could use an interior update, I cant count how many times people bumped into my chair while walking by, both staff and patrons. The only good thing was staff were masked and it was close to my moms house so I could take her to breakfast. It looked like a manager was staring at my mom, she had covid last year so her function and motor skills arent the same I dont know if he was a manager but he was making some comment he was standing listening to my mom talk to my young son. I felt rushed in there. Honestly I probably wouldnt return, just my honest opinion 🤷🏼♀️
Very delicious, great service, and reasonable prices. We ordered chicken crepes, Dutch baby, black American coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. We enjoyed filling the Dutch baby when it came hot.It gets busy there, so be patient if youre told to wait. But it was worth it!
Food is good, but they honestly abuse people here for tips. I am the type of person who doesn’t tip for bad service and we came in and the service was very subpar. The host kept watching us while we tipped and when we didn’t he got very mad at us. This is a highly unprofessional practice.I came back on 12/7/21 to observe the host , and he was “pestering” the elderly folks about tipping too! Highly unprofessional practice
Great pancakes and omelet options.. Staff was extremely friendly, warm, inviting, and super nice. Excellent family environment and amazing breakfast prices. Wait time was definitely worth it... Thank you for your serving my family delicious breakfast... FYI maple syrup was to die for....
Good food and seated quickly but had a bad server. Never got a water refill after finishing mine well before the food was served. Avoid the server named Jessica. Missed refills at a table for one and from what I noticed with my experience and for others, she wasnt cordial at all. New Yorker or not, youve got to be better than that.
They had Gluten Free Pancakes! I was able to get them with peanut butter chips and strawberries on top! I was going for a PB&j. Strawberries seemed to be frozen, my Pancakes were tiny and my omelette did not have anything in it, it was sauce on top.Id try them again, but I think the prices could be better for the quality. Also never received a water refill which I may not have needed if they had full sized cups and my boyfriend never got a coffee refill until i flagged down the coffee yielding waitress and we were already done eating by then. They were busy to be fair, but the grace is that the pancakes themselves were great! Boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast and coffee.
Waitress was very nice. We got some sort of Hawaiian breakfast with potato pancakes and it was phenomenal! My husband and I wanted to try something completely different so we both ordered this and couldnt believe what a good choice we made. It was so good. a couple things we did not like about this place was that it was super outdated. I wasnt even sure if I was at the Original Pancake House because all of the other locations seem to look different. The other issue is that there was no staff. It took a really long time to get seated because nobody knew we were there. Also when we decided to pay we were waiting for a really long time for somebody to come up to the register. there was also somebody waiting for a very long time to get seated when we were at the register. It isnt certainly something that wouldnt deter us from going back and we would love to come back and try that breakfast again.
Great prices and even better food. When my mushroom omelet came out i was pretty shocked it was quite massive not to mention the side of pancakes that comes with it. My fiance got the strawberry waffles which looked amazing and the freshness of the strawberries spot on. If you like orange juice its freshly squeezed, best orange juice I have had.
I’m from Pennsylvania so maybe I’m not use to the high prices. Ordered a well done strawberry waffle I had to send it back. It wasn’t done. Coffee cream curdled in my cup. Waitress responded with it’s just heavy cream. It looked like cottage cheese forming in my cup. Also you only get 1 refill on 12oz. Cup of ice tea.
This place is busy for a reason! So good! The Hot Chocolate with whipped cream is always a must (1 free refill!). Everything Ive ever eaten there has been something Id order again. We dont live nearby, but every time we are in Buffalo/Amherst we hit The Original Pancake House (and then do Glenn Falls and Island Park right nearby) and Parkside Candies (the original on Windspear and Main).
I dont typically post bad reviews, but hope to save other families with small children the trip of going to a restaurant that is not family friendly. We went early to avoid crowds and got there at 8:30am, we were sat right away by a very friendly hostess but at a small table right in the middle of the restaurant at the very front with a 2 & 4 yr old with a high chair and booster seat, needless to say we were getting bumped into repeatedly as people walked by and since they had zero crayons, coloring mats etc. And our food took about 30 mins to come out after ordering, those sitting right on top of us were probably not thrilled with us entertaining our well behaved but ansty children who were hungry and sitting waiting far too long.(Normally I have a backpack full of things to entertain them, but we had just dropped off my car for an oil change and it was in the car...figures we go to the one family restaurant that has nothing for kids the one and only time I didnt have our backpack...not that wed even have room for it as we were crammed together with so many tables it would have definitely been in the way)Next...the food...most was mediocre at best, and my husbands spinach and feta omlette was terrible, it was so over cooked it appeared as if it was literally baked like a quiche...the texture was so off-putting my husband who can eat anything and rarely complains about food didnt even finish it because it was that bad and hard to get down. The kids had pancakes and sausage, which we had to order extra sausage because the meals are not even complete meals, nothing there is actually. Everything is a la cart add ons...over priced, small portions for the prices, and the most average food you can imagine. The only exception was my strawberry and cream crepes...they tasted good, though the crepe itself was on the thick side and not delicate, it did taste good...however you get two for $12.30 with nothing included and you cant add crepes on to a main breakfast like eggs and bacon (does not include toast or homefries...but does come with 3 plain pancakes- no substitutions)...so I ended up ordering 1 over easy ($2.25) egg and a side of home fries($4.30) for an additional...so I spent $20 for 2 crepes, 1 egg, and a small side of homefries.Oh and $5+ for a large glass of orange juice, that was in an approx 10-12oz glass. The service was mediocre, food bad to mediocre, overpriced especially for quantity and quality, overall experience 3/ 10, and we will not be going back there again, ever.
The bacon alone is worth the trip!Their Dutch Baby baked pancake with fresh strawberries, butter, lemons and sugar is an experience that will have you returning with friends for the glory alone. The coffee is served with real cream and 10x sugar if you like it that way but delicious black. The staff is top notch, but dont forget about the mile high fluffy omelettes. You will thank me for mentioning the bacon, OMG
The food is amazing but were always stuck waiting 45 min to an hour when were told itll be a 15 min wait. We live down the street from this place so we usually walk there but waiting an hour outside with 4 kids in the cold weather is just too much. Probably wont be going back as a family. I dont recommend this place if you have a large group or lots of kids. They only have a few tables to accommodate them and the wait is too long no matter what time of day you go.
One of my wifes old favorites to go to when she was in college. Most of the serving staff were females in college it looked like at this location. We both had omelettes when we visited. My wife had the side of pancakes and I took the side of potato pancakes. Even though they are 3 eggs, they really whip the eggs with milk. So when you get them, they are huge! She ordered the omelette with a chili tomato kind of sauce on it and I had the mushroom omelette with a nice cream sauce. Everything was served fairly quickly but it was all fresh and hot. It has decent food and good portion sizes.Overall, It was a good place to eat. The service was quick and competent.
Decadent, delicious, filling. The apple pancake is more of a dessert that should be shared, the over medium eggs were cooked to perfection. The Dutch baby was perfection, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The sausage patties and home fries were well seasoned and enjoyable. Overall a great experience.
Food is very bland almost tasteless. Salt & pepper at the tables seems to be the only seasonings available. Chef Ramsey really needs to shut this place down!!! 😤 i ordered an omelet they practically baked me a cake of just eggs with a runny center 🤮 #NoYolk this place is bad 👎
Whether youre visiting Williamsville for the first time, looking for a place to catch up with an old friend, or just want to try something new, I would HIGHLY recommend The Original Pancake House. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting, and the friendly staff really have a way to make you feel right at home. Not to mention, their food is absolutely amazing. I went there last week with my dad to try their apple pancakes, and they were irresistible! They were cooked to perfection...though they are a little big LOL. But its since its their signature dish, its like, why not?So go ahead and experience it for yourself. Youll be glad you did. :)
We waited 15 min to get in to be seated we get called then we reserved 4 peolpe. The 3 of us was there are friend was exactly 3 min away from Harlem to main they told us they could not seat us because the 1 person was not with us, and we had to wait again 15 min. That was to crazy for us. We have never been back and that was 4 months ago. I was taken one of our friends that havent never been there before.
Buttermilk pancakes were thin and slightly moist, almost as if they were made in advance and kept warm with a lid. The taste was o.k., I just expected a little bit more from a pancake house. The service was good, especially the person at the register...very personable.
Today was a tense day for our family as my wife had to see a doctor regsrding the posdibty of her having cancer. She came out with a great diagnosis, she didnt have it. We fou d tbis ace and couldnt have been more happier with our choice. We were greeted warmly and friendly. The staff were so very nice. I remember Cheyenne our greeter, I remember Kim our server and I especually remember the busser, I believe his name is Luundo. He was so busy but yet so freindly. The food is spectacular and the portions immense and all at an affordable price. Loved it!!! If we are ever in Wiiamsville again it is certain this will be the place we go to eat. Thank you The Original Pancake House
WOW!😊This place NEVER disappoints! Ive been here many times. Hopefully, next time Ill take a picture of the food before going in on it😉 the service is very pleasant and accommodating. This time I got the chocolate chip pancakes, home fries and scrambled eggs....YUMMY! I dont need to eat for the rest of the day! I hope The Original Pancake House stays around for a long time to come!👍👍👍👍
Not so good. I used to love it here, the food was always outstanding. Not so much now. The sausage used to be nice big links, now it looks like the frozen kind. My friend ordered over easy eggs that were not - still yellow yolks showing. My mushroom omelette with the Sherry sauce seriously had no Sherry. Maybe the cook is nipping. Wont be going back here. Very sad. It used to be my favorite.
Good food! Service was a lacking a little and food took almost 45 minutes to come out. I understood the one food item was the Dutch baby that takes around 20 minutes and it wasnt during a rush. There was other 4 other tables total. But the waitress was apologetic and sweet
I have always had a great tasting breakfast here. The prices arent too bad but could be better. Service has a lot to be desired though. Our waitress asked us what we wanted to drink, we said two coffees and our breakfast showed up before the coffee did. This must be one of the last restaurants with fresh squeezed orange juice. Delicious! The waite staff needs to keep up on cleaning under the tables. It was absolutely disgusting!! Bathrooms needed to be cleaned. Food is the only reason we keep coming back.
This place has excellent food and service. The only problem is I think the prices are slightly higher than they should be. Also, every menu item is delicious except the two specialties(surprisingly). The Dutch baby and apple pancake specialties are both baked and just not great in my opinion. Stick to their giant omelettes, pancakes, crepes, etc. Great place.
Good service. Busy even on a Fri at lunch. It takes a while for food to come because everything including the butter is made from scratch. You can find healthier options here including vegan pancakes. The omlettes are huge and easy to share with two adults. Plus they come with 3 pancakes.
I ordered the Dutch Baby and it was worth the wait! I showed up very hungry and left the restaurant full. My friend ordered an omelet and it was impressively large and fluffy. The restaurant was hopping in the morning, as expected. Our waitress and our waitress-in-training were both friendly and attentive to us, even with all the tables filled.
Ive been here before and it was delicious this time not so much. I called in the morning to place a Togo order and while she had a friendly tone of voice it seemed as if I was bothering her. She kept asking me if I knew I was calling the main street location. When I get to the waitress never looked up and said you can sit yourself. I explained what I was there for she took my payment and walked away. About 5 mins later another women brought me the order but checked the register first to make sure I paid before giving me the food. I said all that to say customer service is important and it was not there. I ordered a veggie omelet and I threw it in the garbage it was not good. If I come back I will stick to the pancakes. Lastly, I was there at 730am and the front area did not look like it has been vacuumed in a while.
I was really hoping to go in an enjoy a breakfast by myself after having a medical test done but I really didnt enjoy it. I was hoping for more reasonably priced combos with some protein (meat) with carbs but they were separated and expensive to add. Also my dishes smelled like whatever was used to clean them. It was very busy but the waitress still did not offer more coffee after 2 cups she literally reached in front of me to get my empty plate and never asked if I needed anything else.Even the person that checked me out at the register was not friendly and made me feel uncomfortable. I wish the experience was better I never do reviews.hopefully it was just bad timing but I doubt Ill be back to find out.
I love their gluten free options as I am quite allergic and is thre best place to get gf breakfast foods... but... just be careful what you are served. I ordered a gf apple waffle the other day and was definitely NOT served a gf waffle ( little did i know at the time) . With severe full body rashes, a 90$ doctors visit and prescribed medication that was the most painfully expensive waffle i ever freaking ate.
It was okay, nothing special. I had eggs, bacon and toast. My plate consisted of 3 pieces of bacon and 2 scramblers eggs on a large plate. Nothing else. No garnish such as fruit or anything. It looked plain. The portion sizes for the French toast and pancakes are a good size but again..no garnish or anything added to these plates. The food itself was fine, it was just how it looked on the plate. Just a little something extra rather then feeling like your food is thrown on a plate and put in front of you to eat.
The pancakes are good, but Im usually there for the ginormous omelettes. As my friend once said: Just be careful not to add triple cheese They come fully loaded - almost too much to eat. Plan to share with a friend or bring some home. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Our server must have filled our coffee over 5 times!
This is one of the best pancake houses I have ever been to from the East to West coast!!!! There is always a waiting line, especially on Sunday morning. The food is beyond excellent because they use REAL ingredients like real butter and real maple syrup, and fresh squeeze orange juice, and real fruit jams, unlike many other places. Everything comes to the table pipping hot and absolutely delicious!! A++++
This a must breakfast stop for us every time were in Buffalo. I try to order a different item every time, but the menu is so large it will take a while to go through it. So far, everything Ive ordered was good. Dutch Baby, apple pancake, omelettes, buckwheat pancakes, loaded pirogis. Bacon is made to perfection. Service is excellent. Portions are huge, so dont order too much, or order to share. Weekends are packed, so recommend making reservations.
This place is always good. My wife loves the waffles and the omelettes are so fluffy and huge. They only get 4 stars because they only give you one refill for soft drinks and the glass is TINY. Seriously? A glass of soft drink costs the restaurant maybe 10 cents and they charge almost $3. Theres no excuse for that.
Not happy with the food today. Didnt have the special bread for the egg nog French toast and I just had reg bread instead. I wouldnt have mind except I received 2 bread ends that were over cooked and flattened as well as burnt over cooked home fries. Not a good start 😕 to my day.
For a pancake breakfast joint, Id say above average. The home fries were not seasoned when I got them, not a big deal. Nothing some salt and pepper cant fix. I had the Hawaiian Ham Steak with eggs. My wife had pancakes. I did get to try her pancakes and they were really good. It was really busy on a Sunday morning but the servers was good and prompt.
Extremely poor service. We arrived at 9:45 on a Sunday morning. Two parties of two were waiting when we arrived. We were a party of six. The two parties were seated. Several more parties of 2, 3, and 4 arrived and were seated promptly. When asked if they knew we were waiting, the hostess informed us that we were a party of six and they didnt have any tables available and we would have to wait a while. Several more parties of 2, 3, and 4 arrived and were seated. There were several tables of four and tables of two that could have been pushed together easily to make a table of six. I overheard the hostess tell someone that she couldnt push those tables together because they were in two different waitress stations. Two parties of 5 and 6 arrived and they were also kept waiting. After a wait of approximately 45 minutes, we were seated in a very small room where there were four tables of six and one table to 12, all occupied. The table of 12 left shortly after we were seated. Two people then came to clear the table of twelve with two dish pans. They couldnt have made more noise while clearing that table if they tried. You would have thought there was an airplane flying overhead. To top it off, the hostess came in and walked behind my husband, grabbed a chair which was behind us and lifted it over our heads to place it at one of the other tables without so much as an excuse me or a do you mind? Food was good but certainly not worth the wait.
I have been going here for the last few months and I really enjoy the food. My favorites there are the Pecan Waffles, Pecan Pancakes, Ham and Swiss on Rye and my new Favorite the Turkey Bacon Club. Everything here is so delicious and I recommend checking it out. The waiters are friendly and the busboys do their jobs Nicely, I plan on returning very soon, it is my go to spot for comfort food that priced greatly and tastes amazing. Also try there cheese omelettes, I only get halfs seeing they are already very big.
I just left the Main Street location and witnessed who I recognize as the owner screaming at his poor employee in the lobby. Completely unprofessional, I heard many customers inside say they won’t be back and I won’t either. It seems as though this man needs to get some class and learn how to treat his staff right. Poor girl was crying and looked so upset. Very shameful behavior.
The service was good once she finally came to take our order. They had very few waitresses for the amount of people in the restaurant. We waited 17 mins for our drinks and another 24 before our order was taken, then the food came out of the kitchen rather fast and very delicious! I wouldnt come back unless I had tons of time that day.
If you are in Williamsville, NY , then this is the place to go for pancakes! They are the fluffiest and tastiest pancakes I have tasted. They come with a generous amount of butter, and warm syrup. The service is friendly, and the food comes quickly. The servers are always close by to refill your coffee, which is served with rich cream. There is a reason that they call this the best pancake house in the area!
I came into original pancake house for breakfast and must say the service wasnt what I ecpected. Once I placed my order I did not see my waitress anymore. I never got a refill of coffee or water I had to ask the lady who brought my food to me for water and extra napkins. After that no one came back to me I asked for my mail to be cooked a certain way and it wasnt. I asked for my bacon to be lightly fried and it was hard I tried to wait to see if I can get another order of bacon but it took so long I just ate it because I had other things to do and my day. I know working for the public isnt always easy but I was not a difficult customer all I wanted was service I will think twice before coming back there to eat as I told the owner Ive been coming there for over 20 years and brought many people with me and Ive never had to have that experience before. All he said is that he would talk to the waitress that I had but that just wasnt good enough for me but at the end of the day nothing will be done anyway.
Delicious breakfast delicacies available. Excellent prompt, attentive service. Apple pancake, seafood omelet, and dutch baby (comes with strawberries--other regional original pancake houses like our local in Wisconsin dont include strawberries and are poorer for it).

2022-06-14One of the best breakfast places with the best pancakes. It was Sunday morning, long weekend, and the place was fully packed. We got some freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee to begin with. The ambience was laid back and relaxing. The service was slow. We were in hurry, so ultimately we had to take out the food as togo. The scrambled eggs were great, and so was the omelette. The sausage Pattie was decent. The best thing was the pancake. They have a huge variation and choices when it comes toPancake. I was super confused! However, both the raspberry and the pecan topped pancakes were terrific. I would highly recommend the place, and don’t miss pancakes if you are here.

2022-03-17I had the raspberry waffle with a Dutch cherry wine sauce and my husband had the beef stroganoff crepes with potato pancakes. The food was delicious and I highly recommend eating here. We are visiting from Texas while my husband is a travel nurse here for 8 weeks.

2022-03-27Great breakfast. 4 people, all the coffee we could drink. Other drinks. More food than a thanksgiving table. $100 well worth it, service was great.

2022-06-12This has got to be one of my most favorite restaurants to go to for breakfast. Im sure their other meals are good, but definitely a fabulous breakfast place. I had one of their omelets for the first time and it was so fluffy and good and huge. Highly recommended. They also have some amazing one of a kind dishes and lots of different options t pancakes, French toast and sweet and savory Crepes. And the coffee is delicious and they serve it with fresh cream.

2021-08-30Excellent meal and service. I had never heard of this chain. My wife and I were looking for a restaurant for dinner. Nearby pub had an hour wait. We were parked in front of The Original Pancake House so figured it was worth a try. We decided to go with crepes - outstanding!. They did have a dinner menu (limited), but we were glad we went with the crepes.Service was good, restaurant was clean (a bit dated - but this was about food, not decor)

2022-03-03I love their food!!! Best breakfast place ever!! Been coming here since I was a little kid. My favorite is the Dutch Baby! Only place I know that has them. Everything else is just as good. Also love their Waffles and pancakes they have an assortment of different flavors for them and all of them are yummy! 😋 Their omelets are also amazing! And I personally have never had a problem with their service. Great wait staff, great food and great atmosphere!!! 👌👍👍👍

2021-07-29The apple pancake is always good. However the home fries were almost raw yet mushy and chewy like they were reheated in a microwave with tons of pepper. Our waitress was attentive. The atmosphere feels like a cafeteria. Perhaps its better not on a Sunday?

2021-08-27We were trying to find another place with more than 2.5 stars( IHOP )so we settled on this gem 5 minutes from the HYATT. Great food selection, quick patron seating and wonderful servers.

2022-03-26Long wait only because this place was on point and people want great eats! The food was amazing and you can be sure every time we are in Buffalo this will be our breakfast destination. No matter how long the wait will be. Only complaint was everyones hash browns were cold but they tasted so good it made up for this mistake!
