The Palm in other cities:
Slow. Way too slow. Not only they are slow but the waitress doesn’t value the time of customers at all. Been sitting at the bar for ten minutes and there was only one bartender taking care all these people. And this lady happily went around slowly like she’s enjoying her afternoon walk. I don’t understand what’s to be so happy about keeping people waiting. Terrible terrible. Expect at least 45min to get your food (not to finish) if you’re eating here.
Ok, so for the best looking sit down place to eat in terminal 4 (that I saw) the food was quite poor. I had their 70$ steak that was the equivalent of Applebees. Poor taste, over cooked, and the side of asparagus 11$ was steamed with nothing on it. I will say the old fashioned was great though….. so come for a drink but grab food anywhere else. If work didn’t pay for this meal I’d be quite upset. Service was mediocre at best but they were very busy so that is no big deal to me in an airport.
Had the not so pleasure of dining here on the 20th April and will not be returning if we ever pass through JFK Airport again in the future. The food was priced extortionately for the quality that was received. The beers were priced at approx 13 dollars for one pint which was served with 3/4 of the glass full. Absolute ridiculous. 17% tip was thoroughly not deserved. Dampner to the end of a break away.
It is the one of full service restaurant that open on terminal 4 at JFK. Menu is not big but enough for aeroport. At that time I didnt wait to sit down. Service was fast. Portions were reasonable sizes. Reduced rating because my chicken Cesar salad had some spoiled salad leafs. No quality control on the kitchen.
We literally just left and didn’t even order. We were seated and no one came to take our order for over 20mins. I asked about ordering because people were seated and ordering that was seated just five mins ago. I was told my server was backed up. If that’s the case why are you continuing to put people in his section.
I was traveling through for work so I dont normally check the prices so I was shocked to have spend $55 for a mediocre cheese steak, fries and two beer. I am very disappointed. The second most expensive dinner on my trip was $37 for similar quality (ORF airport restaurant).
It is one of the few sit downs restaurants in terminal 4 so it is worth 2 stars in my book based off that. Being able to relax with your party away from the hustle and bustle . The staff is friendly but I got a hair in my drink which brings down a star. The food is also alittle over priced but understandable for the rent it probably pays to be in JFK. The food is nothing special . Come in get your grub and relax kind of place .
This is a nice place for your basic veggie burger and a drink. A little expensive. The food tasted good. The bun was toasted like it should be. The servers are attentive and the service is quick. The fries can be seasoned a bit more. Overall, you can definitely eat here if you are hungry enough and dont mind shelling out a bit extra.
Eggs Benedict was good and so was the bacon. I like my poached eggs medium and they were cooked to order. Good place to sit down and waste some time. My only complaint was that the coffee was extremely bitter but our very nice and accommodating waitress grabbed me a cup from Dunkin donuts next door, WOW.
A sad mark on the Palm name. Ordered the lobster ravioli and was disappointed to taste little to no salt. Impeccably bland.Ordered a crabcakes appetizer that arrived burnt and well after my main course.Limited menu selection and to top it off, my drink was forgotten but it certainly wasnt forgotten on the bill. I dont mind paying extravagant prices for good food but this was a complete rip-off.
Overpriced! Spent $200 USD here. Still not full. Steak was unseasoned and bland as anything although it was cooked perfectly medium, it had no taste. A little salt wouldnt have gone astray. Sides of mashed potatoes or dry, lifeless chunks of potato and oil soaked asparagus couldve also done with some love and attention. The salmon was overcooked, definitely dead. I really dont recommend this place. Go to Mc Donalds. Dont waste your time here. OR go to the store, grab some snacks and take them to the Irish bar eat them there with pints of beer. More satisfying.
The food is over priced and nasty. I had the chicken sandwich. It was dried and hard. The fries that came with it was cold. Someone had the burger he took a few bites and left the rest. Don’t waste your time spending money there. Very disappointed. I would never eat there again.
We came early to the Airport and had to wait some Hours before catching our flight. This was the only restaurant that looked nice. Well, it looked nice.We got in first, waited a while, ordered drinks, waited a while, got our drinks, ordered food. We waited at least 40 minutes and were about to go out. Finally our food was served. I had a pretty nice Burger, but not the biggest portion. However, when we were all finished and we wanted to pay, no servant even thought about coming if we wanted something else. After another 30 minutes we could eventually call a servant, pay the overpriced meals and get out of there.
Terrible unprofessional rude service. Threw us out of a completely empty restaurant because we ordered coffee at 6am as if they expected us to order a 4 course steak dinner? I’m not quite sure how that is any different than someone who orders a single cocktail at 6am or why it should matter at all as there is no minimum order policy indicated anywhere. Maybe they were waiting for a party of 700 to magically appear out of thin air and they needed the space? Awful and disgusting, these waiters should lose their jobs honestly if this is the level of discretion they are working with.
RUN!!!!!!!Terrible service + overpriced cheap food.Do you want to waste your 40min waiting for the receipts and get totally neglected when calling for help?Ps, The reception woman has absolutely zero professionalism, i asked her for receipt when she past right by me, and she did not even turn her head. 10 mins, after some eye contact she said ‘he’s coming’. Then no one came in the next 20 mins. Finally had a chance to ask her coworker, and got the receipt in 2 mins. Woman, if you don’t want to help customer at least do not lie!!!
I want that you know that im Brazilian and I had lunch at this restaurant, and I was served by a young and Latin woman, and i had a bad service because she doesnt have patience with foreigners, which is absurd in a restaurant that is in the international departures sector, just because i had some difficulty with the language, she treated me and my wife with rudeness, and i left there very angrywith her and i should have made a complaintand thank you.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, should have read the Google reviews before coming here. Paying $22 for a burger that is mediocre at best; $4 for a coke, is definitely not worth it. Perhaps it is airport taxes and fees, or it is the year 2035 :) On the plus side, the burger does have a fair amount of berf.
Instead of ice tea , you get half ice-cubes half extra-sweetened-fruit-juice. We watched how they fill the drinks, more than half of each glass was ice-cubes. You don’t get a drink here, you are just getting fooled. Plus, if You want to sit at a table to eat food, the host says “it’s busy and table is for food” while the table is empty you are not allowed to eat.
My server was a perfect gentleman and the food was good for what it was (shrimp cocktail and a salad) and thats why it got as many stars as it did, but the hostess was ABSOLUTELY out of control. While I understand the desire to maximize available seats, many of us are dining with you ahead of long flights. We want to be comfortable and take the space we need to do so while we dine, specifically because we are about to be stuck in a tiny chair for hours. When a guest chooses to patronize your establishment, and the bartender tells them to grab a seat where they like dont make them feel unwelcome by telling them to move to a smaller table. Its just rude.
If you’re looking for a decent sit-down meal between flights, don’t go here. Food was cafeteria-like and ridiculously over-priced, and the menu was too small. The chicken on the chicken Caesar salad looked liked gas station chicken with no seasoning. Don’t waste your money. You’re better off going to McDonald’s.
Awful! I knew this restaurant when it was good! I was a server at the Chicago Palm years ago, so I know the quality of their food. And I didn’t mind paying the price for good food. Tiny menu that does not reflect The Palm that I once knew. Crab cakes were mushy, steak sandwich was even worse….dry, terrible cut of meat. No real ‘Palm’ menu items. Was so excited to share this wonderful place with my fiancé, was terribly embarrassed at the choices and quality! 👎🏻
That must have been the worst meal I had so far in New York. What a rip off. Service is mediocre and the food is really bad.The caffee latte .....? Abysmal... Supposed to be the best restaurant in the airport and not cheap... You are better of getting something to eat from a street vendor before coming here.. they have a captive audience.... So sad....
This Palm is a bad representation of the business. The service here was awful. We got the breakfast before our plane boarded and the eggs were good but nothing special. We ordered a turkey club sandwich when the menu switched over at 10:30am and we ended up waiting over 30 mins for the sandwich to come out. There wasn’t a staff member in sight for a majority of the time while we sat at the bar and numerous people had to flag down someone to pay. The people next to us were blaring music from their phone and no one asked politely to turn it down or said anything. When we checked out, they told us we couldn’t use the Landry points and money for the Landry membership and that it is not correlated. I know Covid has been hard on the industry, but I wouldn’t have considered them “understaff” there was no one in the restaurant at 10am on a Monday, just poorly trained and not the best customer service.
Rodney was alone behind the rail and he absolutely killed it. He must have had about 12 different tickets at a time and he never neglected anyone. My food came out promptly and it was pretty decent as far as airport food goes. Rodney was the star of the show. Thanks brother.
Got off the red eye from Seattle to JFK this morning only to miss my connection to RDU. Looking for breakfast and I really wanted to have coffee in a proper mug. The palm was the right choice. The eggs where exceptional and the Mamosa Wes refreshing. If you are looking for Coffee in a proper mug then the palm is the place for you!
For starters we waited for over 10 min just to catch someones attention. When we finally did, they asked if we wanted our check. When we havent even ordered yet. Our waiter Lenny then took our order. We had the all american it was supposed to come with bacon and sausag, and ordered a coffee. Finally we got the food but only bacon no sausage, and no coffee. They just assumed we wanted only bacon. Also, we had to remind them about my coffee which came with milk but not sugar. They said they would bring me sugar but that never happened. I had to walk to the bar and get it myself. The food was okay but the service was HORRIBLE.
Palm has become one of the worst services since a new company took over, so disappointed I been a palm member for so many years. I now have to say goodbye, the attitude from this waitress at JFK when had breakfast today was horrible. She threatened to get the manager on us because we took two setting silverware next to a table, because we had no setting and was waiting for long time . Our coffee was getting cold and need something to stir our sugar and cream. She said to us what do you need silverware for with coffee? Guess she wanted us to stir with our fingers the coffee. She actually got the manager on us INCREDIBLE!! So sorry that Palm has gone this low!!!
I had an international flight yesterday through JFK and stopped for two drinks at this restaurant. As I had to board my flight, I signed my receipt and rushed off. Today I noticed that I was charged $51 for TWO DRINKS!! When I tried calling, the phone just rang over and over then was disconnected.
Disappointing as the quality has nothing to do with the other Palm restaurants. Service is good but the steak has been terrible on three separate visits - tonight it was tough, overcooked and way too much salt. Tables are sticky and the bar area smells of sour beer and mildew. Oil used for French fries is old. Its clearly a money maker as it is always busy; but, in my view, its consistently damaging the Palm brand as the quality of the food and the upkeep are poor. The professional waiters and the decent wine are the only positives. Two stars. Not worth the money. Too bad!
We wanted something small before our flight. It was a mistake. The hostess was not friendly and then we waited for 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted anything to drink. We were just getting ready to leave. Wish we had. The Bloody Marys were very disappointing and the 2 small plates were not that good either. For $80 you would expect better than what we got. It upset my stomach and made for a long flight.
Thoroughly mediocre. The steak sandwich was small, dry and mainly bread and the coleslaw was plentiful but bland. I mean it’s airport food but would have expected far better than this. The staff are fine - not especially friendly but if I was serving this I wouldn’t be either.
This is by far the worst airport restaurant that I have ever been to. The waitress was more keen to walk away from my table than taking my order completely. It’s almost like someone was paying her to run vs serve. The scrambled eggs for breakfast was average and so was the coffee. But more than the food, what out me off was the abysmal service.
We stopped by here while waiting for a flight, really wished we hadnt. Our server was very steely and rude from the start, including abandoning our table mid order.I only really wanted a small meal so I decided to go with soup, which she told us was tomato. After a reasonable wait our food arrived and she very bluntly informed us it was actually something completely different. Whatever it was, it wasnt pleasant.I sent it back and due to lack of time gave up on what should have been a simple lunch. When we received the bill the soup was still on there; it took nearly ten minutes to flag someone down and correct it.Slow, unhelpful and unpleasant service, a completely messed up order and a musty smell to boot. Would never come back and would not recommend.
Is it hella over priced? Yes. But it is in an airport in NYC. Entrees are between $19-52 on average. It is not for people who are on a budget and are trying to get something fast before they make their connecting flight. Its for people who want to keep a quiet, intimate ambiance and have the time to have a proper meal. But it is pricey. For two entrees, one glass of wine, and a small bottle of Mineral Water our bill was $88 before tip. So be warned. The service was excellent and fast. The food quality was good but again nothing we would normally want to pay that much for, but vacation.
Service was great. Food was okay. Drinks....... I was wondering why there was no price for drinks on the menu! A glass of wine (one of the cheap kind) is $27! I thought there was a mistake and they charged me for the bottle. Nope! It was right. Beware of the scam and ask for prices since they reserve the right not to post them
Below average food. I ordered a steak that easily could have passed for Denny’s or IHOP. It’s basically the same food with a Palm label slapped on it. The only reason I didn’t give them one star is because the french fries were good and my waiter was nice. Don’t be fooled - this isn’t Palm quality food!
Am sorry I did not check reviews online before eating here last week. The quality of food in this place is the worst we experienced while in the USA. We were a group of 4 and we all ended up very disappointed. I returned the chicken caesar salad which was made with wrong dressing and chicken that was void of any moisture (I was not charged for it)Other members of our party were Also very unhappy with food quality of their dishes. Also beer menu was provided by the waiter without any prices on it.
The Palm Bar and Grille is Delicious, delightful! I love it, eats there when ever I am in terminal 4. The crab cake sandwich is one of my favorites! I love to just sit with company relax and enjoy the ambiance! If Im traveling in the morning, the new York breakfast with eggs toast and coffee is delightful or I may try it with a piece of steak which is throughly satisfying! The bar and bartenders are very professional and entertaining. Always manage to make me feel right at home every time I visit! You have not really enjoyed or experience fine dining at JFK airport until you tried the Palm bar and grille!
Average food and poor service. Asked for Stella but got IPA. When asked why, waiter said they run out of Stella. They took forever to attend despite restaurant being relatively quiet. When I refused to leave a tip,w was hesitant to give me my change back until I insisted. Waiter was rude! Few other people had a dispute while we were there. Overall bad culture amongst the staff!
Poor food at very high price. Me and my wifeOrdered sliced steak sandwich with slaw and a side order of half fries and half onion. When it came out it was with fries .said to service staff that I ordered slaw and half n half ,she informed me they ran out of half n half? Think she forgot order. And did I want the slaw. She then takes the fries and brings slaw, not even asked if would like to have the fries.Bread was dry and steak was dry n tough
I wasn’t shocked with the overly priced egg breakfast - for $18 they give you two eggs, four pieces of dried up bacon, one slice toast & some soggy potatoes. My coffee order never made it to the table so I can’t commemt on if it was good or not. What I was shocked with was the crappy attitudes of the servers & the overall poor condition of the restaurant. The waitress wouldn’t bring me ham for my toast, not refill my water after asking twice. Other diners kept calling out to their waiter / waitresses coffee refills, orders to be taken etc. with less than twenty diners in the place was shocking to see no one getting service.Lousy way to start the day’s travel.
Were there for dinner 6pm Friday before catching our flight. As a steakhouse, you have 1 job, to have steak! After being seated and waiting 15 minutes for our server, we were informed that they were out of all steaks. At 6pm on a Friday? Really? The waitress didnt write down our order, forgot to get our appetizer, messed up my wifes order and my burger didnt come out with bacon, the way it was described. Overall a very disappointing meal.
We were in New York for a week and the host here was the only rude person we encountered. He said there was an hour wait for a table when they were only 25% full. If we could have found another bar we would not have stayed. Sat at the bar and the bartender was fine but the food was greasy and overpriced. A disappointing end to an awesome trip.
Rudest waitress!! Ordered another coke when the food came in. After 10 minutes we went to check if they had forgotten about it, then we saw that it had been poured but never delivered. When we again asked for it, they said it would be right out. Right out apperently meant after 5 minutes so that they had time to finish their private conversation. To top it off, the bean burger had the consistency of a hockey puck..
As the lounge was full The Palm seemed like the next best option. To be honest Im a little surprised by the reviews as I though the food was solid. The person I was with got a steak which was a little overdone, but he seemed to enjoy it. I went with a lobster roll and I thought it was very good. Its not Lukes good but it was solid as were the fries. The Palm is definitely not my go to steakhouse but Id come back the next time Im at JFK.
Read the reviews! I did not. Now i have to write one to warn others.... Dont be like me.This place looked nice, so we gave it a try. Service was so slow. It took 10 minutes to get water, 30 minutes to get our food and beers, and another 45 minutes to get our check. For those who are doing the math, thats almost an hour and a half visit.I dont know what happened to my server but i had to ask one of the staff members if we can get the check and he just walked right by and didnt even acknowledge me...probably since i wasnt at one of his tables.Look at my other reviews: i give people 5 stars if they say hi, smile, have decent prices, and serve decent food. Its not that hard. This place had rude service, mediocre food and ridiculous pricing.2 beers, 2 burgers= $75 before tip. I know airports are expensive but that was ridiculous. Shake shack is hidden around the corner. Go there instead. Burgers are a third of the price and you might even get your food before your flight takes off.
Worst service, terrible staff! It took them 40 minutes to bring my burger and they wouldnt tell me how long it will take them. I told one of the female servers my counter closes in 25 minutes, she didnt even bother come to my table, she answered from the distance saying there is always takeout, right!.
Horrible service and food wasnt great and way over priced. Monica was not very friendly either. Coffee was served with creamer but no sugar. We asked for more creamer, multiple times, and never received it. No jelly for English muffins. (Apparently they were all out?) I had to ask for cream cheese for my bagel. Home fries over cooked and sausage was very very greasy. Definately will never return.
Very poor service. Disappointing compared to other Palm restaurants in other parts of the country. Long wait before someone came to the table. Steak overcooked. Tried to flag someone down for water and the individual barely turned around, told me someone would be there shortly. No one came. Awful and a waste of money but the manager did try to fix it which is the reason for 3 stars as opposed to the 1 star I had planned to give.
The service was not the best, one of our ordered items was delivered and was not what was ordered at all, had to take it back and wait other member of the party ordered a well done burger and it was nearly raw. Again taken away had to wait for new plate so each of us had to eat and then wait for the other. Asked for water and it was never served. Too expensive for this type of service. Would never go back.
I ordered a tequila sunrise and it came all shaken together, not layered so it looks like a sunrise as the name implies. Lots of tequila though, so not too bad. Prices are $$$$ though, typical airport price gouging. Bartender is super cool though, Alexande. If his bosses see this, A+ service. Also the Texas toast was amazing.ETA: This was at the bar so service was quick.
One of two hostesses rude; waiter better suited to hostess job than waiting tables. Manager apologetic but that doesnt do much after fact. We paid even though he offered to comp us. Breakfast was forgettable at best and eggs were cold. No rhythm to service, long wait for drinks. Did not see anyone having a good experience when we were there. Unnecessarily bad.
Ordered a turkey sandwich for $24.... only wish I had read the reviews before we ate here. Sandwich is nothing more than stale bread, non toasted, non buttered, 1 slice tomato, 1 wedge of lettuce, 2 shaves of turkey and nothing else. Chips were green also. Upon settling the bill I let the waitress know “for $24.00 that was disgusting” the response we recieved, “o, I’m sorry”. Avoid! Better tasting food at the local sandwich bar for $5.00
Horrible service. We waited forever for a waiter and finally had to ask someone because one never came, which is very inconvenient at an airport where you’re in a time crunch. And they won’t let you sub in the sides for fries when you order a sandwich or burger which is stupid since that’s like the entire menu.
The food was awful. I had Eggs Benedict. It came with country potatoes. The food was barely room temperature. The potatoes had no flavor and they were dried out. Same with the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs barely ran, because it had obviously been cooked sometime ago and had been sitting out. It was just an awful and expensive experience. I get angry thinking about it. I wish I would have read the reviews.
Food was bad, services was incredibly slow and everything was ridiculously expensive. (I get it, your in NY and an airport) You are better off eating out of a vending machine. The chicken sandwich was try as a bone. The lettuce in the $27 salad was all turning brown. Just plain horrible.
Food decent, service absolutely terrible. Took 20 minutes to get drinks and silverware. Victoria was our waitress and she should have been asking for help. I fly through JFK alot. I do not know that Ill ever go here again or suggest anyone to it, probably just the opposite.
Ordered a steak sandwich. It was some sort of cheap minced steak and had the texture of horsemeat in cheap white bread. No salad or veg ($10 extra for those). Served with crisps not fries. This and a small beer came to £30. Dont bother, McDonalds would have been better.
Overpriced bland food with extremely slow service. Splitting a check was a major hassle, since the manager had apparently left and the waitstaff arent able to do it without them...Luckily my layover was long enough to accommodate the snail-like pace that this restaurant operates at. I shouldve gone to Shake Shack...
Restaurant is located in Terminal 4 in the B Concourse. Right in the middle of a mall of nice shops. Wifes checked salad was good, my cheeseburger was well below average. Served in open bun, and when it came out in a perfectly round shape, I knew it could be problematic...it was. It is one of the few sit down places in the area.
Nice little place to hang out whilst at the airport. Sat at the bar and had a few drinks and service was very attentive and not drinks not badly priced for saying its an airport. Didnt have any food but person next to me had a steak which looked okay but very fatty - would probably avoid that!
Consistently poor service. Just sat there for 15 minutes after being seated. Waitress walked over to table right next to me 3 times completely ignored me. I finally walk over to the social club with the servers staring at theirPhones and ask for a waitress she tells me its not her section. 3rd time here with poor service and food is lackluster at best.Dont waste your time This is airport food with the palm name on it
Why are places in airports so horrible? Is it because they are blatantly taking advantage of travelers ? The place was cold, staff was slow even though the place was empty and the food is seriously overpriced. I hope they pay their staff well. Judging from their bored demeanor, probably not. SHAME.
Beer selection was decent but the food is not. The ultimate chicken fingers were the worst chicken fingers Ive had. The grilled chicken sandwich was clearly a reheated slab of cut up chicken breast and the clam chowder was fresh from the can. Avoid if you are looking for food.
Worst service experience of my life. And I have eaten out A LOT. The food was terribly undercooked, asked for well done burger- there was literally blood red coming out. They agreed with me but refused to comp my meal. The manager was unreasonable and blamed the situation on me. I will never go back to this place again.
This place has the same good tasting but expensive food as it ever has, its practically a JFK institutionService is charming, if a little rushed. If you are going to have a steak you really must have it with the creamed spinach as its among the best that you will ever try.
Please don’t go! Visited today, flying in from South Korea, couldn’t wait to have a good American meal......the restaraunt Palm in Boston I visit frequently and always very happy! This place was a dump, waitress dropped off glass of water and said I’ll be back, as I was trying to order an app....waited for her to have a conversation with 3 other waiters by the cash register, finally she came back to my table and took my order, was not helpful at all, I had to repeat everything twice.....food came out and the French fries and onion strings were cold, not warm, cold! She said it was her bad and new ones were being made, all they did was drop those back in the fryolator as they now came out dark brown. During lunch the dish washer came and dumped a tray ofSilverware into a bin and scared the shot out of everyone in the restaraunt and the stafff was laughing....really how rude is that?Never came to my table and asked if meal was okay........I asked her why I needed to go to the machine and pay she said it was easier for her!1st time in my life I gave zero for a tip! My company pays the tab, it’s not my money but I don’t abuse the privledge, therefore I had to give 0.0....Manager you need to fix this place! Palm has a great rep here in Boston!
The worst airport restaurant Ive been to: you expect quality when you go to such an expensive place, food was of terrible quality (and minimal size) and the service was super slow and unresponsive. I regretfully did not check all the 1-star reviews before entering...
Attempted to eat here. We should have been warned when it took forever to get our drinks. Couple next to us had the server come back twice to tell them that what they ordered was not available. Then he came back and said the same to me! I should have asked what DO you have in stock. Walked out after that.
No joke $18/cocktail (2017). Prices are NOT listed for drinks (since you know, you should assume that mediocre airport cocktails are almost $20 a pop). The waiter ADMITTED that the fact that they didnt list cocktail prices was a scam. Do not patronize this establishment.
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The quality of the food was terrible and the service was even worse. Bartender was extremely aggressive and rude, barking at the customers. My order was a salad, which never came even after I waited for an hour.Palms needs to work on customer seriously.
I dont think this restaurant is ready for what it means to be in a high volume airport terminal. Food took forever, woman next to me was told 30 minutes but after 40 she left with ever getting her food. I had longer but was given an undercooked crabcake and then overlooked chicken. Id avoid.
Worst service I never had. Unbelievably incompetent. We were told to sit at a table because the service would be faster and nobody ever came to see us until we got fed up and left. Service at JFK is a low bar but these guys tunneled miles below the standard. Do t waste your time much less your money.
Arrived and ordered breakfast and coffee. The half and half had gone bad bad. New coffee arrived. No sign of breakfast. 35 minutes and several reminders later I had to leave to catch my flight. Terrible place, slow service. They need more people to wait on everyone. Don’t bother going there if you need service in a reasonable time.
The waiter runs off in the middle of ordering then when u call him back he runs by and says i give u more time noone needs at an airport location. He did i give y more times a few times. The manager lady was informed did not lecture him. Expansive and worst service, no responsibility for passiv aggressiv behaviour of staff. Rubber cooked bad food. Last visit to Palms what a horrible experience for my money and time.
Be careful, the waiter cheats on your change. Was there yesterday (Jan 1st) and besides the worst chicken sandwich I ever had (dry and flavorless), I sat at the bar and the waiter (cute pale with dark hair) cheated on me about my change and got USD 15 of tip! Which was 40% of the bill!!! And when I asked if he was kidding (he has taken the money already on the silver pot), he answered in that poker face what?. So, Mr. Smart at the Palm Bar and Grill, that was my gift to you, since you may need it more than I do if you have to cheat people this way.. Life will show you whos smarter...BE CAREFUL, guys.. Pick another one!
I came at the door, i said hello..,one please, the guy told me :don’t you wanna check the menu? I said no thanks. He said “ do you think you have time? 45 mn and up? I said i have 5 hours. Then he gave a seat i didn’t like, i ask him politely can i sit here? He reponded, there’s no waiter for this table , than this white couple came after me and they were sitting right where he said there’s no waiter....Racist Hispanics in that restaurant ... try it and see
Ordered chicken sandwiches that took 30 minutes to be delivered and the chicken was RAW, not undercooked but RAW. Horrible experience, Monica the waitress was so apologetic but nothing turns the stomach like RAW chicken. Save yourself and DO NOT EAT at Palms at JFK Airport.

2022-04-10Nice place to sit down for breakfast while waiting for the plane. It is quite pricey, honestly while we were eating we saw 4 different groups sit down, look at the menu and then get up and leave. I think the restaurant would benefit from posting a menu at the door so people could decide before coming in if they truly want to eat here or not. Over all food was good, orange juice tasted freshly squeezed.

2022-05-26The prices were ridiculous for the basic subpar food. The server was great but they were definitely understaffed. Unfortunately this was the best place to eat in this terminal at this time. Which is not saying much. If you can, go to a different terminal or just eat somewhere else before you go to the airport. Do not recommend.

2022-06-05Worst salad I’ve ever had. The hard boiled eggs had brown yolks, the avocados were brown, the lettuce was wilted, the chicken was incredibly dry and burned and the salad had very little flavor. Only thing good about this place was that our server was nice. He brought me a new piece of chicken when he saw I took it off. But even the new piece was just as dry. It’s like they pre make the chicken on Mondays and use it through the week.

2021-11-21Terribly expensive steaks at $71 considering the quality. Steak was tough even when cooked medium. The ice lemon tea also tasted horrible. Only ate there as I was a captive passenger with a 4 hour layover looking for a decent joint.

2021-10-16Nothing good to say about the food here, $22 for the worse steak sandwich I have ever had. It literally tasted like the whole thing had been reheated briefly in the microwave. To break it down:Steak I asked to be medium rare and it came out medium well. Probably as a result of the microwave reheating. The fries are obviously just shipped in frozen and reheated in the microwave or possibly in the oven but lack texture and flavor. The bread for the sandwich was bland and doughy. It wasn’t even cooked through properly so remained very doughy. After I ordered the meal came 2 minutes after so that tells me it was not put together as the order came in. Just slapped in the microwave and reheated. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere.

2021-12-01Staff super friendly. Food a bit pricey. All American breakfast for that price should include coffee bit sadly you have to pay more for it. The food was nice though and the place clean and fast service.

2022-04-25$24 for an extremely basic breakfast, slightly worse than a middle of the road diner. The staff were very nice though. I know its hard to find good food in jfk, but dont come here unless your company is paying or youre so rich money has lost all meaning 👍

2021-09-16If I was served this in a Palms in the city, I’d giveThem a 1 star, but here I am in an airport eating a unseasoned steak, but it’s cooked perfectly. My wife got a salad, she’s enjoying it. If you want a great steak, don’t go to airport, so this isn’t bad.

2022-05-30Food was good, but the staff was even better. Alfredo handled a crazy Memorial Day Weekend so well! Great communication, juggled half the restaurant alone. Super impressive
