Such a cute place, food was delicious. Loved the tasteful doctor who theme through out from the art on the wall to the the menu and the little touches on the table and even in the bathroom. Owner was very nice and helpful. Quiet on a nice Wednesday afternoon in January, but very busy on the weekends.
This amazingly original gem is for both Dr. Who fans and regular folks to enjoy. Brought my friend here on Saturday as a surprise since shes a huge Dr. Who fan. The staff made us feel so at home and welcome. But the food was also wonderful. The fish fingers dessert is a treat! Cant wait to go back.
The restaurant is entirely Dr Who themed and IMPECCABLY executed – not a single detail was overlooked. However, it feels very comfortable and not at all “kitschy”. The food is traditional British fair plus a few other random dishes and all of it is DELICIOUS! Plus they offer a remarkable tea service. Dr Who is always playing on the TV and the vibe is really relaxed so it feels like you’re eating dinner in your living room - but better. Check out their bathroom (pics below) - it’s bigger on the inside ;)
The decor looks cool but the empty room gives a sort of depressing vibe. The service is slow because they are severely understaffed and the staff that they have have no clue what theyre doing. We waited a long time for sub-par products. The food is extremely overpriced and relatively disgusting. My partners ordered the fish and chips, which were chewy and completely lacked flavour. I ordered the Hooverville Porky Pile Up barbecue French fries and pulled pork, which were just sad. The overpriced and overrated Bill Potts chips tasted like they were covered in lays BBQ chip seasoning. The pierogis were sad and served very oddly with guacamole and sour cream and a strange tomato sauce, which did not taste good whatsoever. And the savory fish fingers and custard clearly came from a box. Quite frankly, the best item you can get is the water. We sat indoors on the outdoor patio table. We even had to use our own napkins, cause they couldnt provide them. We didnt bother to stick around for dessert. Definitely overrated and not worth half the price. The only reason it didnt receive one star is because I like Doctor Who.
Enjoyed the visit; we were on our way elsewhere from hours away so arranged a detour, and I’m glad we did. Everyone enjoying their food; I had the Thyme-y Wimey cottage pie, another the fried alligator roll, a third a burger. Clearly made from scratch, unlike chains that make from precooked (such as Chili’s) so it took a little while. Bought the T-shirt, which I don’t usually do.
Sad...sad and depressing. As a Dr. Who fan I was very excited about visiting this restaurant, however, it was a disaster from beginning to end. Service was very slow and bad. Food was overpriced mediocre cafeteria food. The decor was meh and I felt that I was on the episode of Kitchen nightmares. Would not recommend
I’ve been wanting to visit this place for YEARS and I finally got to. It’s amazing. Exceeded my expectations. Not only was the food very tasty the staff( Kirsten & Shirley) who were on duty were absolute delights and made us feel so welcome. My fiancé and I will definitely be returning. This restaurant is not just for Doctor Who fans but anyone can come in and enjoy dinner and a show. You might just leave a fan.I highly recommend getting the fish fingers and custard for dessert. It’s so delicious.
We got to the restaurant about 5m after they opened on a Sunday. Nobody greeted us until about 5m past, and when she did she said they weren’t open yet. Then we went to sit in the outdoor seating and chose the middle table of three 4 tops- she came out and lied, saying a party of 8 was coming and she needed us to move to the table to the side. Once we sat (somewhat uncomfortable as this particular table had partial sun and it was a 82 degree day) she came to take our drink order and list of the specials. We ordered drinks and asked for a strawberry lemonade- to which she replied “was there any part of that that I EVER said Strawberry OR lemonade at ALL?” Very rudely! I said “well you were listing the specials…”. She came back to take our food order and I ordered a sandwich- she asked “do you want to upgrade to fries for $3 more?” I declined, and she replied “Oh yeah it can get pretty expensive”. Again- rude! I hardly think $3 is going to make a huge impact- I wanted the Cole slaw haha- which by the way, she neglected to bring then brought me a tiny ramekin of it haha. We waited over an hour for our food- which was good— but there’s no level of cuisine that could ever take me back to a place with such poor service and such little regard for customers. Another couple (2) tried to sit at the 4 top next to us and she demanded they move- I shared with them our experience and they thanked me and moved along to another restaurant that will hopefully service them better. This place really needs to consider their treatment of people if they want to have a successful restaurant. She’s lucky my boyfriend tipped because I would have given her nothing.
My dad and I have been dying to go to the Pandorica Restaurant since it opened and on the chance that we got to go up to Beacon, we had to stop by. It was a dream come true to be there. As a Whovian, it was so much fun to catch all the references planted around the restaurant and when you think youve caught all the details, theres more. The food was great and it was wonderful to get to know Shirley, the owner, while we were there. She made sure we had a booth facing the TV so we could watch Doctor Who as we ate. It was a lovely and homey experience. We will definitely be visiting again, Allons-y!
We drove here from scranton. The service was poor. The man serving today was just not with it. He kept forgetting the basics, and seemed confused about simple things. Even though he wrote down the order, he still got it wrong, and kept us waiting over and over. I finally just asked them to pack my meal to go because we couldnt wait for it any longer. They still charged full price, and the guy watched me run the card because he was nervous I wouldnt tip. I realize the pandemic was tough on places like this, but its just not what it used to be anymore. Even the atmosphere isnt as good as I remember. For a hundred dollar lunch, I was looking forward to a special experience. Instead, I left hungry.
Great little place dedicated to the great Dr.Who! Some fun pieces of memorabilia! Enjoyed some great British food while watching Dr. Who (we caught some 9th doctor episodes). Social distancing can be a little tough in this tiny place but, if everyone is careful and mindful it works just fine. I highly recommend the dessert version of fish fingers and custard!
I love this place. Although Ive only seen the first season of Dr. Who with Chris Eccleston, Im still a SciFi buff and so I feel very cozy in a themed restaurant like this one. The design, thought, and passion that has gone into The Pandorica makes it a very special place. Its always a pleasure chatting with the owner Shirley about Star Trek or Stargate (or anything with star in the name really) as she takes our orders and brings our food. She certainly makes you feel welcome. Each dish Ive gotten (which are usually the delicious daily specials) has outshined the last. Keep an eye out for some of the fun events they hold!I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
An extremely entertaining place for all fans of the British sci-fi show Doctor Who. Sit back and enjoy an episode of Doctor who while eating fish fingers and custard, or browse the artwork! A large menu with lots of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey choices. The only flaw I saw was that there wasnt enough staff to accommodate the busy Saturday afternoon rush.
The shop is definitely a love letter to Doctor who and the food is well prepared. Their tea selection is decent, though not outstanding. I suppose the two things that were dissatisfying were the prices and the overall atmosphere. The prices were extremely high for the small portions and simple fare. I also found that the overall layout was just not conducive to relaxing and chatting with friends comfortably. Its definitely just a novelty spot, not somewhere youd go on the regular.
Tastfully decorated without being kitschy and the food was amazing. Yes, they have fish fingers and custard but they are actually really good. We had the dessert one with French toast Stix and custard. All the food was homemade and plentiful. Even if you arent a Whovian the restaurant and its owner are warm and inviting and the food is top notch. We drove 4 hours just to visit and have lunch and it was an amazing time.
We really enjoyed ourselves yesterday on our first visit here. We moved here, from England, 9 years ago and its nice to go somewhere that has some really good British food. Our waitress, Amy, was really nice and pleasant. The bangers and mash were top notch. Weve been fans of Doctor Who for a long time and really appreciate the theme of the restaurant. We had made reservations for 5pm to be on the safe side. But, I imagine if youre visiting mid-afternoon sort of time reservations wouldnt be necessary. As the new season of the show approaches, though, they will be a must for Saturday evenings. We look forward to returning soon.
Went with 2 fellow Whovians, The decor is really on point, without being overly kitschy, which as a Dr. Who fan, I do appreciate a little kitsch. The food was delicious, and the menu/specials offered a good variety. The prices were moderate, but overall a great value, as the food was fresh, flavorful, prepared and presented beautifully on fine English china! I highly recommend the fish fingers and custard. (french toast sticks with vanilla custard) The staff were very friendly, and attentive. I enjoyed the craft beer offerings, mostly local NY breweries. They offer a nice selection of tea as well, although we didnt get to it this visit. Maybe next time!
A fun concept, a decent enough meal, but the service was abysmal. There were four other tables in the restaurant, the largest of which was an 8-top. My wife ordered a hard seltzer and I had a glass of wine. The wine was sour and the seltzer was two months past expiration - I know that wont kill anybody, but it shows you how much attention theyre giving. We only saw our server a total of 4 times in the hour-plus we were there. We ordered two sandwiches and didnt get them until about 45 minutes later. We asked to see the manager who explained to us that they were slammed. Id hardly call 5 tables slammed. And even if that were the case, that tells me the kitchen needs to manage their time better. She at least comped our drinks. All these mistakes are fixable, but I dont think well be back any time soon. I can watch Doctor Who and have a sandwich at home, and it wont take 45 minutes to get it.
Charming and well decorated, this restaurant was altogether enjoyable. The menu was slightly small but the food was of good quality and delicious. Very friendly staff who are warm and have a genuine enthusiasm for Doctor Who. I would definitely recommend this place and have nothing bad too say about it, except for the Ood in the corner which was a little creepy.
While Whovians will certainly have a special appreciation for this spot, even those who have no clue what a Time Lord is will feel welcome in this lovely little restaurant. While the food isnt the cheapest on the block, there were no complaints about taste or quality at my table and no one left feeling hungry. Make sure to sign the guest book next to the Ood on your way out.
Wonderful place, great food and friendly atmosphere. Service was lovely and there is no shortage of interesting division decorations for Whovians and the general public alike. Perfect spot for lunch before heading up to Dias (like we did) or walking around the quaint downtown.
Unfortunately, the experience was not worth the drive. Service was mediocre, took 2 hours for food and then my order was forgotten which took another 1/2 hour. All personnel were new and there was no accountability. Water was never refilled. I could go on about what went wrong but Ill stop here.
We went in for a fun time, and were delighted by the tardis themed rest room. The food was very good, especially for us vegetarians. Not a lot of choice, but really delicious and well prepared. It was especially nice to get our tea served in a China tea pot, with real China cups and saucers. Well worth a visit.
We went after a wonderful outing at Hudson Beach Glass. The food was delicious, the teas amazing, and the Doctor Who setting terrific! We went with some die hard Whovians, and they found it authentic and engaging. It also helps that you can request to view an episode while dining. The Tardis bathroom was fun too. Moderately priced and entertaining, we will be returning soon.
Shirley is always wonderful company while visiting The Pandorica, and always going above and beyond to help makes her patrons feel like they are home- Ive visited many times over the years and this past weekend went with a group of friends, one of which who was vegan, and Shirley made an amazing meal for him to enjoy! My friend who hails from Liverpool also had her first time experience this weekend with us, she stated her tea and tea cake where exactly what she needed to remind her of home. You dont need to be a Whovian to appreciate this amazing gem on Main Street Beacon! Dont let another day pass before you check out The Pandorica!
The food was very good, but service was very slow on a Sunday afternoon. The ambience was nice, even if youre not a fan of Doctor Who. Our waitress vaguely resembled River Song, and she was very nice, but not a very good waitress - even the simple drinks took quite a while. The paintings of Doctor Who characters featured on one wall look like they were done by someone in high school who needs a bit more practice with the brush when it comes to people, and the attempted Klimpt Kiss recreation with Rose and the tenth doctor was appreciated but not very well executed. The rift in space time and some of the other Doctor Who nods were very nice, although the angel would be much better in 3 dimensions rather than a cardboard cut out. The Tardis bathroom door was a nice touch, and the bathroom was bigger than a police box on the inside. The Falls of Galafrey was a bit too puny, but appreciated nonetheless. Universe themed bank seating graphics were very nice and thoughtful too.So, overall, food was very good, service was mediocre, the paintings were pretty bad and the ambience was nice. If you like Doctor Who (or even if you dont) and are prepared for a bit of a wait, its a pretty nice place. Where else can you get fish fingers and custard for dessert (even if its really French toast). Regretfully, I had to opt for the special of the day- blueberry pie a la mode, which was very good. Fish fingers and custard next time.
I absolutely love going to The Pandorica. It’s adorable, I’ve never had a bad experience and there’s always Doctor Who playing. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than your typical fast/casual dining place but prices aren’t any worse than an Applebee’s or Chili’s (and I find the dining experience to be much nicer).
We recently visited The Pandorica, The food was great, the atmosphere amazing and the service was awesome. Our waitress, Stevie, was happy and attentive and she made the visit even more wonderful. We enjoyed all of the Dr. Who memorabilia and we will be go back again without a doubt. Hopefully we will once again have amazing food served by Stevie, a waitress that Dr. Who would be proud to have on the TARDIS!
Being a #Whovian, how could I not love The Pandorica Restaurant?! The food is fantastic, and the service is wonderful. The owner, Shirley Hot, and her staff know how to take excellent care of their customers. No matter how long or short my visit to #beaconny I always go to The Pandorica Restaurant at least once.
As an avid Whovian, I loved this restaurant. My friends and I drove all the way from Long island, and it didnt disappoint. It was a rainy Wednesday, and we got there right when we opened. I highly recommend going early if you can, because we were the first seated and our waitress even let us choose what episode to play in the background while we ate.The original artwork on the walls was lovely, featuring each of the companions. The display of memorabilia was great, and there was a plethora of Doctor Who references in the decor. The glowing crack in the wall, the life-sized Ood and Weeping Angel, the giant Van Gogh painting of the Tardis, and the Tardis centerpieces all added to the atmosphere. The Tardis bathroom (with tally marks on the door) was impressive. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the fish fingers and custard from the dessert menu (I wasnt brave enough to try the actual ones). The tea selection was great, and everything that the six of us ordered looked delicious. In short, Id love to go again and highly recommend it to Whovians.
Shirley does the Doctor justice. This is a place run by an actual factual Whovian..... you will not be disappointed. The food was phenomenal and made to order. The best collard greens Ive ever had outside of my house. Not to mention the fact they hold Who-dunnits murder mystery dinner events. Next one in July...
Cool Dr. Who themed restaurant. English pub.grub with a twist. The owner/chef surprises with updates variations like Sheppard Pie and its excellent. Its a nice stop Im Beacon and the staff is very pleasant and accommodating. They have special events but its too bad that they post mostly on Facebook. Wish the website was active. Recommended if you miss London.
The Pandorica restaurant in Beacon, NY has the most amazing cuisine! Sally Sparrow Roasted Duck Breast with warm pear and cranberry salad with pickled onions was perfect. Crispy skin with moist flavorful duck. The Madame Pompadour Blueberry Cake held the consistency of a perfect scone, not overly sweet with a nice crumb and luscious blueberries with a wall of whipped cream one the side and filled with Marscapone. OMG! Even is you are not a fan of Doctor Who, the food here is, Incredible!
Even if you are a whovian, I would avoid this place. You can get the same quality of food from your local supermarkets freezer section. This restaurant does an excellent job of setting a nice atmosphere, then failing to deliver on it. While me and my wife were seated soon enough, the waitress took quite a while to take our drink order, didnt ask us if we wanted an appetizer (which we did and I had to interject it as she was walking away) the appetizer was the pierogies. $11 for only 4 with a scoop of guac and sour cream is a but much for what tasted like something heated up in a microwave. I would understand if they at least tasted like a local made product, but this is just the begining of the dissapointment. While my wife and I were seated almost 20 minutes before the couple at the neighboring table, they recived their appetizers and salad at the same time as ours, and their main course at least 10 minutes before ours. The waitress asked us how our meals were, before they even arrived. Now I always get my drinks without ice as I have sensitive teeth and it hurts for it to be too cold, but something fresh out of a fridge or a normal soda fountain is typically fine. The soda tasted mildly flat and was room tempurature. The meals themselves were bland and overpriced, again reminding me of something that was recently frozen and defrosted, and nowhere near fresh. I had the hooverville fill up, a suggestion made by the waitress as i was going to order the hooverville pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was $13 and the fillup was $16. For that amount of money for the quality of food, I was expecting a much bigger portion. I can understand a high price if the quality of food is at least fresh. This again tasted like something from the freezer section. My wife had the thymey wimey beef cottage pie for $18. Now it did come with a salad, which was the only thing that did taste fresh, but she complained to me that her cottage pie tasted overly salty and was mostly just mashed potatoes. When it finnaly came time for the check, it took over 10 minutes for the waitress to bring it back to the table. For a location that sets the atmosphere of a hip and trendy place, it fails to deliver quality food and competent service.Overall, if you like doctor who, its a fun place to stop by to see all the collectables they have on site, and its fun to see how many references they cram in, but the quality of the food versus the price will prevent me from ever going back again. As a whovian, Im sad to see that this place has such potential, but as the tenth doctor said, No second chances. Im that sort of a man
This is a wonderfully themed Doctor Who restaurant. We drove to Beacon from NYC on a rainy afternoon. The quaint restaurant, whose pictures make it seem larger on the inside, was the perfect place for a peacefully geeky Doctor Who filled lunch for me and my family. The theme is just enough for a Whovian to be delighted with a Tardis bathroom door, Amy Ponds crack in the wall, and a local artists paintings of a few of the companions. However, even a normie could appreciate the lovely atmosphere. We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered. Our waitress, as well as the other staff, was pleasant and attentive. As soon as she realized that we were Whovians she offered to put on our favorite episode as the restaurant wasnt too busy yet. While we watched Dont Blink, we ate the K9 appetizer (mini corn dogs with honey mustard sauce). Both my husband and I ate main dishes from the specials. For dessert we shared a plate of Fish Fingers and Custard. Everything was fresh and magnificently delicious. We drank their iced peach tea which was so yummy, it didnt need sugar. Before leaving we made sure to sign Rivers Journal (The Guestbook). We will definitely be back.
Over rated. We got pirogies for an appetizer and they were over priced $11 for 4 tiny pirogies with a small dallup of sour cream and guacamole. The pirogies were the same quality as what youd find in the frozen isle at the market. The sodas were $3.00/6 oz glass filled with ice.Beer was skunked and the $16 burger was Applebees quality. Not bad, but not worth $16.The restaurant looked like a super Dr. Who fan brought their personal collection of Dr. Who memorabilia to a typical row style restaurant. There was Dr. Who on a screen in the back corner of the restaurant. I expected to see a large Tartus and feel as though I was in Dr. Whos world. Not so much. The waitress gave us the bill at the end. I put my card in the bill fold and she came over with a square reader. She held the reader, swiped my card and then turned it back around to me to verify how much of a tip I was going to select. I felt like I was being pressured to give a good tip, not that she didnt deserve it, just that it was uncomfortable and awkward.Over priced for a Meh lunch and a mediocre Dr. Who experience.
Waited over 30 minutes for our meal which the restaurant did not have the ingredients to make. Waiter suggested substitutions two separate times. As we continued to wait we heard the microwave. When the food arrived the salmon was dry and flavorless and the rice was soggy. The meal was grossly overpriced for this level of service and food.
Falafel Wrap was very enjoyable and full of flavor and hugh with bacon bbq seasoned fries...Yum. The decor is very tastefully done. I highly recommend this place. This is what Beacon is all about. A Unique and delightful place and enjoyable unique food and atmosphere . Loved it.
The Pandorica is amazing if your a fan of Dr. Who. The restaurant is tiny but it has so many cool things that its worth going. There are paintings of the characters on the wall, a TARDIS you can walk into (its the bathroom), and several other things from the show. The menu is British faire with a few show related items like Fish Sticks and custard. I loved them! They also have a desert version which is lady fingers with custard for those who arent as adventerous. Salads come with the house dressing which is a fabulous balsamic vinigerette. Im not one who usually like balsamic anything but this was really good. The only downside to the restaurant is that its not closer to where I live. Although if it were I would be there at least once a week.
An abysmal attempt at a Doctor Who theme. Should have stayed the Tea Room.Disclaimer: the reason for writing a scathing review is usually to prevent people from having a terrible time, but my intention with this review its to give the restaurant owner a strong nudge to rethink their design and atmospheric choices.First of all you would think anyplace worth its Doctor Who salt would have a line up of portraits of every doctor there ever has been. Also, there should be a sonic screwdriver in the display case. The hilarious part is, right next door theres a shop called Play, which actually sells sonic screwdrivers and other Doctor Who themed items. (Youd think they could work together? ) There are a couple images of some random Doctor Who characters painted by local artists on the walls. There is a cardboard cutout of a Weeping Angel that looks like it was cut out by a third grader. The one cool design item is an amazing trippy textured pattern wallpaper that goes down one side of the shopService was shoddy. Despite the fact they have plenty of servers in there, we had to patiently wait every step along the way.The menu was very small, nor much selection. Also barely any Dr Who themed meal names? but it should be noted that the food was decent. We had the sausage bowie pasta. And Shepard pie. They did have some extra frozen fish sticks, but wheres the Chippy?TV was blaring an episode (no way around that), but a HUGE pet peeve of mine, the refresh rate on the TV is set wrong, so all the content looks like a soap opera. If youre going to choose a theme to appeal to a nerd population, do some research on the subject. I guarantee you wherever owns that store doesnt give two s****s about Dr Who. I will update this review if the situation changes.
If you are looking for an old timey-wimey dining experience with British staples in a sci-fi bent, travel no further. Doctor Who fans will have plenty of little artifacts to oggle when not perusing the amusingly named but cleverly concocted menu items. Being in a Brit-themed environ, I went for the Bangers & Mash (my baseline test for English cooking) and found them not only SPOT ON but EXCEPTIONALLY SPOT ON. I found our server a tad circumspect in our interactions but, to her favor, she was politely on the ball and my party WAS a little loud in our enthusiastic nerdery. Street parking nearby may be at a premium at times, so if you dont happen to have a TARDIS, youll just have to make do; a little walking does a body ood.
My husband and I Just sat down tonight for dinner and I left feeling very ill 😷 for one the service was slow! The meat pie with mashed potatoes tasted so salty and dryWe got perogies for an appitizer was very over priced $11 for 4 tiny perogies that looked like they were from the stop and shop frozen section with a small spoon dialup of sour cream and guacamoleThe sodas which you would think would be cold were flat and warm.. very disgusting ! Will not ever eat there ever again and will not recommend it to anyone !
Unsatisfactory experience on many levels. No paper receipt given (yet they were able to print out one for themselves) & I had to give them my email address for them to send me receipt - which only showed the total & not the breakdown. Not good enough. I ordered the burger & requested gluten-free baps & was told there was an extra charge of $1.50 for this. That hasnt ever happened in other restaurants. Whlile waiting for the food I asked for the internet password (I didnt have data while ouside Europe) but no, they would not give it to customers, as it was for the staff only & might interfere with their billing of customers or something. Our group consisted of 5 adults & none of us was impressed with the food. Cornstarch was the basis of a gluten-free chocolate bun for example. Overpriced.
Costly, but the theme holds true. Magnificent art on the walls for sale.Specifics for me were some Galifried Potato Pancakes from the appitizers, and fish sticks and custard for dessert, as Id already eaten at a bad place, so this was just a stop on my way home to settle my stomach.
The food there is very good and not too expensive. Service is great and the restaurant is very quaint and nicely decorated. Good variety of foods plus a large selection of tea. You should absolutely go to The Pandorica if youve been pondering about whether or not to go.
For those not looking to read my entire story, Ill spare you:Tl;dr - food is good, place is cute, but the service and management need a rude wake-up call. INCOMPETENT.For those ready for this saga, heres the story of the gross incompetence that is the management of The Pandorica:I placed a reservation for 12 for my birthday lunch on 10/14. I called the morning of and confirmed 12 (I had been between 10-12 people, but confirmed for 12 when I called at 10AM) They previously said 1:30 would be ok, but called me back and changed it for 2PM. Thats fine, I recognize its hard to accommodate a party of 12, and Im flexible. I told them that seating us at separate tables would also be perfectly ok if it made their lives easier. Were not fussy people, were just looking to check out the Doctor Who themed place and have a little lunch.Day of our reservation, we arrive at 2PM, and are told to come back at 2:30 as our table isnt ready - there is currently 1 large party in the restaurant, 1 small party, and the rest of the tables are empty. I am confused because there are plenty of empty tables to seat us in, but I acquiesce and agree to come back at 2:30 because it is a small restaurant and perhaps they are overwhelmed in the kitchen. No problem for us, we walked around Beacon, NY, went to some shops and returned at 2:30.We return, 11/12 of us are seated in the back of the restaurant under the exploding TARDIS (very nice mural btw), and I am offered to be sat at the bar....by myself.... 10 ft away from the rest of my party? I naturally said I wasnt interested in this seating arrangement where I would eat by myself and watch my friends from afar and asked if perhaps we could be split to the round tables in the restaurant instead, which there were about 10 of and all were EMPTY. The table that 11/12 of my party were sat at could honestly only fit 8 people comfortably and my friends were sitting in corners of the booth area and not even able to reach the table... Our request to move was denied. Uh. Ok. This is honestly not at all acceptable there wasnt even enough space for the plates and drinks, let alone 12 people to sit around the table too. They brought a tiny outdoor patio table through the restaurant and seated me near our party. It was weird.I asked again if we could use the round tables instead, but I was told all the round tables in the restaurant were reserved for parties coming in. Oh, ok! I understand that they must have people who called earlier and are coming in at any moment now.Only that was the first LIE and those people are imaginary. It took us over 2.5 hours to start and finish our meal (well get to how ridiculous that is later) and literally 4 people entered the restaurant during that time. I cannot make this up. They lied about having reservations multiple times. Nothing else was reserved, and I have NO IDEA why we werent allowed to move to the round tables. After about 30 minutes they take our drink orders and after an hour they returned to take our food orders. To be honest, I wanted to walk out and just get tacos but I am a nice person and honestly thought the reservations they KEPT MENTIONING were real and I felt bad for them?? They werent real. These people are liars. They made up some sort of elaborate lie to watch us suffer in the corner for God only knows what reason. The manager must be telling their wait staff to make up lies about fake reservations for some reason. Why would you not let us use the rest of your EMPTY restaurant? After drinks came the large party left and they cleaned their table. I asked could we re-seat ourselves to that nice long table that had 15 at it. LITERALLY was told no thats reserved. It wasnt.Nothing was reserved. 4 people came in over the course of 2.5 hours. The entire time they acted as if we were bothering them. Dont worry, Ill never bother you again! No one apologized, manager walked by us twice never even looked our way. RIDICULOUS. Photo attached is collage of 3 pictures taken at the exact. Same. Moment. Crazy.

2022-02-07Clean restaurant, friendly staff, good food, AMAZING décor! My only “complaint” is that the menu is a bit pricey (in my opinion). Other than that, an AWESOME place! On a scale from 1-10, I give it an 8!

2021-08-08Giving 5 stars because the owner was amazing. Greeted us, went over menu, specials, and took the time to talk all things Dr Who. Love seeing the passion on display and it was such a cool spot.

2022-06-25I adore this little gem of a place. Had the brisket club with potato pancakes, along with jamie dodgers (baked fresh) and some lovely tea. Talking of tea - there’s quite the tea menu - I had Doctor #10 and liked it that much i also got a box to take home. The owner and chef (Shirley) is wonderful and has her heart in every dish and every wall. Highly recommend 🏆 Can’t wait to go back.

2018-04-03Absolutely loved this restaurant. We went primarily because we are Dr. Who fans and it was recommended to us by a friend. It didn’t disappoint. The decor was great. The ambience was wonderful! The food was fresh, well seasoned, and enjoyable. Dessert and coffee was great. The service was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend it. Don’t forget to go the bathroom there. It’s an experience all on its own! 😜

2019-08-12Such a fun stop if you’re a fan of Doctor Who! From the decor to the names of the dishes. The food is very good but be prepared to spend a little money, it’s not the cheapest option on Main St.The main reason to do it is decor! So much fun! Giant painting of the Tardis explosion and everywhere you look there is another aspect of the show there to surprise you. Love it!

2019-04-01Stumbled upon this restaurant while researching where to eat in the Hudson Valley and we had to stop in. Im a HUGE fan of Doctor Who and whats better than a themed restaurant.I really, really wanted to love this place but it was just ok. The decor was nice, they didnt go over the top with Doctor Who related items but it was just enough where you kept finding new things to look at. The menu also had cute items listed that also referenced Doctor Who. They also have the show playing in TV, so that was cool too.The food was where we were let down.We split the spinach dip appetizer and it was just ok. Nothing that memorable about it. For entrees, I had the turkey BLT on jalapeno cornbread. I love cornbread and I love heat and I was curious how well this would work as a bun in a sandwich. Well, it wasnt really what you would consider to be cornbread, more like Texas toast and it looked like it had jalepenos in it but I couldnt taste them. The bread was also incredibly dry which was a shame because thar impacted the whole sandwich. The fries were seasoned with a nice blend of spices and tasted good. My husband got a different turkey sandwich and he said it was just ok.Decor is good but not enough to make up for the food.

2019-05-15What began as an English tea room has transformed over the last few years into an other worldly dining experience. If you are a fan of Dr. Who, Science fiction, or even just unique dining experiences, The Pandorica Restaurant is the place to go on Beacon, NYs Main Street. There is plenty of seating and the decor is pretty amazing to look at, and explore. The owner Shirley does a fantastic job of making you feel at home, even in another dimension. The food is delicious and worldly, based on classic English fare, with many other cultures and influences adding to the plate of options!Oh yeah, and if you have to use the restroom, prepare to be transported in the TARDIS.

2019-06-12Doesnt really need a explanation for Doctor who fans. A lot of replicas from the show. Food is ok but thats not really the focus. Everything here is themed even the food for instance fish fingers and custard. I particularly liked their selection of teas. They have airings of Doctor who on loop. Trivia: owner met some of the cast and is actually British.

2017-12-31The Pandorica has a cozy sort of atmosphere and tons of Doctor Who references everywhere you look. The food is certainly good, but the top reason to go is obviously the Doctor Who art, models, decorations, and themed menu items.
