The Paramount in other cities:
Absolute gem of Huntington Village. Why go to any other venue when you can get this perfect intimate theater where every seat in the house has a great view. Parking was easy, getting food and drinks was fast with no lines, ushers take you right to your seat, and smooth getting in and out of the venue without the hassle.
I bought these seats for $100 each at the venue and as you can see in the picture, the view is blocked. The agent who sold me the tickets did not say anything. When I went to complain to the management they refused to do anything about it stating that the view is not blocked. I guess they have never sat in those seats or are blind.
Love that everyone entering the Paramount must show proof of vaccination and photo-ID. Fabulous place to celebrate our first night out for entertainment in 2 years. Al Franken was extremely funny and put on a great show. It is fun and safe to laugh again 😄 Kudos 👏 to the Paramount staff!!!
Beer prices most expensive in usa. I attend shows in any major cities. Nyc, Chicago, nyc, here prices are 11 for 12 ounce lol. This venue aint hurting they got the most covid bailout of all of long Island. I wont get into the numbers. It is a nice place though. Once weed stores show up they will have to drop prices in half like California venues
This is a great place to see a show. It holds mostly standing room type tickets , but there is seating available in the balcony. There are bars in the music hall and outside.I expect to pay a premium, but I think their drink prices are a bit excessive.Acoustics are adequate and the performers they have visit are varied and interesting. There’s no reason if you like music not to take in a show there. You can eat at one of the fine bars/restaurants before the show to complete your night! If my review was helpful please consider selecting the the “like” button below. Thanks and if you go to a show; enjoy!
My favorite go to spot to see indoor concerts on Long Island and possibly the city. I love the acoustics and small feel of the place. Its always clean at the beginning of a concert. Its convenient, located in downtown Huntington and surrounded by top notch bars and restaurants. My only complaint is the beer selection. Would prefer to see more of a selection from local breweries.
I always always always love this venue, the staff is super nice and I love seeing a band up close and personal, whether its a cover band like get the led out which I might as well add its amazing or seeing Joey fatone or even the fray up close and personal!!!!!! In my opinion theres no better concert venue on long island! And its located in the heart of main st in Huntington, with bars all around to have fun as well as food and shopping, no Im not affiliated with the paramount I just really really love that theater
A wonderful location! Tucked into the street and much bigger on the inside! Everyone was dancing and having a great time and the music was projected beautifully. It felt very at ease as they check your vaccination card and have you step through a scanner to be safe. Cant wait to see more shows here!
Great local community venue that hosts various concerts and events. You wouldnt necessarily think that this location is big in anyway, as its sandwiched into Huntington villages restaurants and shops, until you step through the doors. The ticket box is to the left as soon as you walk in and you can purchase or pickup will call tickets right away. Once through security you walk into a main dance floor, with bars on either side and balcony seating and bar overhead.Recently decided to check out this location for a Tim Reynolds concert. I figured good music on a cold winter night, why not! Many know this famous guitar player from being part of the David Matthews Band [DMB]. Lets just say I was never a fan of DMB, but I am a fan of great, talented, musicians and that he is. He is so talented, if not in the Music Hall of fame yet, he should get a nod into it.I enjoyed his guitar riffs so much I even decided to buy his CD, that they were debuting that evening. It was like a suito album release party. All staff from door, ticket box, bars and even restroom attendant were very professional and keeping things neat and clean. The drinks are moderately priced and tasted good all evening. Bartender Josh in the Sky Bar area for the 2/20/2019 Dane Cook event was super friendly, quick and efficient. Made the drinks exactly how I like them. All openings bands were a great start to a wonderful evening of great talents displayed. During stage changes they advertised upcoming events on big screens above the stage left and right, which was nice promotion as yes it made me think I should come back for more. There isnt a single thing to change with this location, they really host great talents and ultimately thats what it all about. Ill be back for more this month [Dane Cook event 2/20/2019] and hope others do too!
It was great. This was only my 2nd time coming to this place. The 1st time I saw Trivium and this time was Breaking Benjamin. Everything was great. We were in the front row. We had the perfect spot. They performed great & the sound was amazing. Definitely want to go back!
Went here to see Beres Hammond concert love this place. I got standing tickets, so if you have standing tickets I advise you to get there early so you can be up close. The drinks are very reasonable priced. Just ware something comfortable if you are going to be standing
Very accommodating staff, comfortable room, not too crowded, great sight-lines, adequate PA system, fair lines for drinks and bathrooms, easy parking, a win all around. I didnt think the band was anything special, but that wasnt the venues fault, and they werent unpleasant. It was a nice evening out with friends
For a place with such an unbelievably good location and an awesome set up inside, they consistently fail to attract good talent. Browsing through their upcoming shows is like searching a whos who of has beens, mediocre cover bands and miscellaneous unwatchable comedy shows.Been there a bunch, even recently (to see Moe), and the place is still beautiful inside. They also have a decent drink selection (a bit pricey). Its just such a shame that they dont make better use of this ideally situated venue.
After all the data showing that fully vaccinated people not only carry but also spread covid-19 they have in place protocol where vaccinated people do not have to get a test within 72 hours of a show however on vaccinated have to show a negative covid test. If I would have known this I would have never bought tickets for an event. I will never go here again. The science does not support their protocol.
First time visiting the Paramount....drove 30 miles to see an amazing Tom Petty tribute band. Very well worth the trip. This is a great venue for a concert or a show.....love the decor.....the design....the sound.....the staff were all super friendly and very helpful and just an all around great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it. I will absolutely do another show here soon but would go earlier, park and eat at one of the many restaurants close by.
The show at the Paramount was a great one. Some of the staff ate great but for the most part the others need help how tp assist people with disabilities. The first usher I encountered made me climb stairs instead of making me take the elevator and accomadating me with a seat i can get to in the first place. When I needed to use the bathroom I dont understand why the handicapped bathroom had a key in lock on it.If someone needs to go to the bathroom either you should have a stall or two for the disabled but the handicapped accessible should not be locked. The steelbench in the lobby was more comfotable than the seats in the thea theater.Chaz Palminteri and his one man show of A Bronx Tale was more than worth the trip on theLIRR from Queens to Huntington.
This place is pricey! They charge extra fees on top of the ticket price. But the tech guys should take their headphones off to see that the sound of music and instruments greatly overpowers the singers voice. Basically what I heard was loud roaring of music and no lirics. Place located in attractive downtown Huntington, NY
BUYER BEWARE: This venue doesnt offer any refund or credit if youve contracted COVID-19. Your only option is to go to the show anyway, or lose your money. This means many people with the virus will be with you in attendance. Otherwise, great place for concerts, not a bad place to stand in the entire venue.
It was my fist time there. The service was smooth and friendly. My only issue was the seating. My friend and I were seated on bar stools along the back wall. The first 2 seats when you come up the stairs, at the top of the left balcony. Seated or standing, we could not see the show at all. We were forced to go stand in the VIP section. Which was an issue with security who told us to go back to our seats. Overall, I enjoyed the music. Id go back again if I got different seats.
Easy to see right off of Route 110 / New York Avenue. Servicing Huntington Village and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Parking on the street is available but it fills up fast especially on the weekends and at night. There is a municipal parking lot near by. Great Bar. Standing room close to the stage. Seating upstairs. Great intimate feel for concerts and Private Parties. We will definitely be going back....
Great venue!! Went for the first time 9/11/18 to see Dana Carvey. The atmosphere in the place is electric, and there isnt a bad seat in the house! Ive been wanting to go to the Paramount for the longest time because Ive heard it was an awesome place. I am going back 11/1 to see Little River Band and I cannot wait!! Btw...Dana Carvey was hilarious, drinks are overpriced but no more than any other theater/arena, parking in Huntington Village is horrible, but overall The Paramount is awesome!!!
I have to give 5 stars to the employees of the Paramount for the outstanding customer service they give the attendees. Ive gone to 2 shows in October with a broken hip. I have to walk with a walker and cant use stairs. On both occasions I was approached by an employee who took me right through the line and to the elevator. I had mezzanine seats and couldnt climb the stairs. Another employee met me and immediately set me up on the floor with handicap seating. This was all done proactively and without my having to ask. Every employee I encountered had a positive attitude and was so friendly. It is because of the employees that the Paramount is my favorite venue to see a show.
Got to see Michael Carbonara with a friend and had a great time. We were sitting in the balcony that wraps around to the stage. Great view with slim wooden ledge that allowed room for drinks and food. We had the burger sliders and soft pretzels. Show was fun and the venue was nice.
Me and hubby went to see IN THIS MOMENT back in Oct. Sadly the fire alarms kept going off so for 2 times it happened they stopped the show 45 minutes both time. And the main reason I was there only played 4 songs. But Ive had a problem before at The Para. Love seeing shows here
Would probably see a comedy show here but most likely wont be going to a concert again as the sound was pretty bad. Saw Joan Jett and she had plenty of energy and positive vibes but the whole experience was kinda ruined by the muddy/mushy sound quality. I got there a little before the show started and all the lots were full as they are shared with local businesses. Found street parking after looking for 15 min or so.
Terrible. Show was totally ruined, all Paramounts fault. Band uses fake smoke equipment and its triggered fire alarm. Twice!!! Each time 30 min wait for fireman to come. And Paramount didnt let musicians stay longer to sing their songs. And never refunded money for the show. Terrible experience.
Favorite venue!! From the security - coat check - bartenders .... ive been to a bunch of shows there...from metal, rock, country... and not a single problem.... even the bathrooms are always clean !!! Plus the pizza place down the block is the perf stop after the show !! Lol - ps. Just park down the street... theres always parking there. And no meters
Very disappointed, they implemented a vaccine mandate the day of the show and do not offer a free rapid test. I am fully vaccinated but was with some one who isnt,if you are going to mandate testing or vaccination the day of a show you should not charge for the test. I love this venue but they dropped the ball here
Love this concert hall. It is spacious and clean. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced but thats to be expected for a concert venue in Huntington.Ive seen a lot of shows here and they have all been great. Ive had seats, did GA and sat in VIP and I have no complaints about any of them.
They changed their COVID policy for shows, which is fine, and didn’t offer refunds for the people who didn’t want to jump through hoops to go to a show. Enjoy the $150 that you’re to downtrodden to reimburse and I won’t be doing business with you anymore at this point. I’m not showing my vaccine card to go to a show, just not gonna happen.
We attended the Rick Wakeman piano concert. Seating was folding chairs attached to each other at floor level, so you cant move them around, but they do have some padding on the seat so they were comfortable. The sound system was excellent. The view even way back on the floor in row P was quite good, which is a consideration when a focus is on watching the performers fingers on the keyboard! We had a disabled member of our group and ease of getting to the seats was a priority. No problem, there is an elevator to get to floor level if you need it. Overall, A+ plus experience, do go!
Had never been to a show here before and was absolutely blown away by the venue. Excellent arrangement with the attached Spotlight bar, ample room throughout the event space, skilled and friendly staff and they have such an amazing schedule of artists coming through. Huntington is a little far for me but the Paramount makes it totally worthwhile.
Ive been here several times and I LOVE the intimacy and how close the performers are. Its so fun!The place is fantastic. My ONLY complaint is that the concerts are excessively loud. Louder than any other venues (MSG, Metlife, etc) its so small they could turn the volume down and it would actually sound better. Ill think twice before I see another concert.
Had a great time here.My first time here was to see a Social Distortion concert and was amazed how nice this venue was. It’s very clean and the staff was fantastic. The setup for my concert was standing room on the floor and seating in the balcony. All site lines were clean and the sound was good. Will definitely go again to see other bands.
Nice historic theater. The upper mezzanine was too far up for me. There were monitors on both sides however, the view was obstructed. The seats on the ends have an obstructed view as well. I liked that they had a bar & snacks. Drinks were about $10. Plenty of staff on hand for seating & at the bar. The staff was courteous. Free parking around the corner. Not enough parking for a sold out show. The parking area is also utilized by other establishments. So get there early.
Great venue for live music! General admission lets you be close to the acts even from back of the of the crowd. Balcony side seats allow you to be close, great view, and be seated. The one minus is the food. Very limited choices, expensive and with so many great choices in the area try and eat before of after show.Parking also tough, especially on weekend, so leave enough time (better chance on side streets than municipal lots).
The Paramount is a great venue. Its small enough that there isnt a bad seat in the house and big enough to feel like a real event. There are at least three bars in it if you like, and there are VIP areas where you can sit on couches that are slightly elevated on the floor, so no straining to see over general admission. Sometimes the music makes it hard to hear the lyrics but its easy to see the stage no matter where you are. Definitely a favorite. Seats are slightly narrow, so if you have a larger derriere, you may want to opt for the VIP seating.
This is actually a very nice place to see a venue. The night I went it was not overcrowded, but I could see that is possible, Have a drink before at 1 of the many bars in town before you go in! But yes they do serve alcohol.... And Please do say hello to Charles, who is part of security on your way in, he is a very friendly person. Who will go out of his way for physically challenged people like myself!
We visit The Paramount about 2-3 times a year and love its classic concert hall atmosphere. We originally purchased the VIP packages until it no longer included access to the lower level bar area. We find the loge seats to be just as good. (Sometimes the content VIP booths would get a bit too crowded as well.) The upper level bar is cool and fun and its nice that they offer a happy hour price before the concerts.WARNING: if you attend a rock concert, bring foam earplugs, especially if you have loge seats near the stage mounted speakers. The acoustics can be quite bright, especially at the start before everyone fills the GA section. (Personally I think the mgmt should supply earplugs along with the snack. )
Saw Dream Theater here and it was fantastic. Best seats are Loge. You are literally 15 feet from the performers if you can get close to stage right or left side. They also have drinks and food and multiple locations. Saw them in the country at Beacon Theater a few days earlier. The sound quality was infinitely better at Paramount. Great venue!
Decent medium sized concert hall that offers seats of views from all sides except the rear. And dont worry, there is still plenty of room in the area center that offers the biggest of fans to get their service of being up close and personal to their favorite live performances. There are even concession stands offering drinks and more to the side as well.
Single handedly the best venue on Long Island! Lots of bathrooms, tons of bars, the Spotlight is a place to dine in or grab a drink before the show, then there is the Founders Room (private - members only) but absolutely stunning! I highly recommend this place - Ive seen well over two dozen shows or more.
While the location itself is great in terms of convenience, theres a lot left to be desired. When floor seating is used, youre crammed in to the seats with no room and no place to put a drink. If you decide to get seats on one of the balconies, youre going to have a barstool to sit on and a slightly obstructed view of both the stage and the TV monitors. Of course you wont know this until youre in your seats and its too late to do anything about it.The lights and sound were pretty terrible as well. They waited until the opener had walked out on stage to dim the stage lights. Then they spent the entire set messing with the sound levels. They finally got it right as they finished their set. When the headliner came out, he needed to correct them constantly mid-song. It wasnt very professional at all. Its the kind of thing you would expect at a small local bar, not a concert venue. If youre in to flaunting and exclusivity, theres many different VIP booths and lounges throughout the place. So if thats your thing, this is the place for you.The saving grace of this place is that it saves you a train ride into Brooklyn or the city to see national acts. Its also conveniently surrounded with options for food and drink. Just know what youre in for beforehand.
One of the best venues out on long island, this past weekend me & my wife just happen to be in the neighborhood for a weekend outing and saw the new bar that opened. staff and bartender were great they even gave water to our dog. Asked about booking my band and inquiring about booking events the bartender was very helpful in providing information.

2022-04-16This was my first time here seeing Trinity of Terror Tour and I really enjoyed it, I had V.I.P and everything was coordinated smoothly, had really good seats and one big let down is that the better seat you had the smaller and more uncomfortable the chair was, on top of that we paid so much for seats/v.i.p when the ushers didnt even check tickets or ask why there were people standing in isles where the seating was... makes me think I should have bought a PIT ticket and just walked up to the good seats 🤷🏻♂️ oh well I had fun though, will definitely be back!

2022-05-11Great venue for shows. You have the choice of General Admission floor, or seated areas. Nice and intimate for audience and performer interaction. Go see a show there!

2022-02-09My husband and I went and seen Joe Gatto this past Sunday! We drove all the way from Philly! They checked our Vax cards and IDs out front, went through metal detectors, then they checked our tickets. They had a coat check, t-shirt section, and 3 bars inside, not including the Spotlight restaurant. Drinks inside were pricey (what do you expect), seating was a bit snug, but overall clean. Id definitely drive 2 1/2 hours here for another show!

2022-05-12Paramount is one of the best venues in NY. Much nicer than a lot of the similar sized venues in NYC. The sound system is more crisp too.

2022-06-03It is always an awesome show when you see anyone at the paramount. Due to its size, you really cant have a bad seat. The furthest seat from the stage is maybe 30ft away so no matter what the shows always feel intimate and somewhat exclusive. They also have a ton of super cool hidden rooms all over! Touch a book in a book case and it opens type secret rooms with different themes. Really cool place.

2022-03-22I would absolutely love to see more shows at this amazing venue. Saw the Psychedelic Furs a few nights ago, and for the most part, I think they were amazing for the first 45m. I say that kind bummed because the wife and I (from Oregon) bought some edibles to take before the show (which we often do), but had to get something called Delta-9. Some molecule off from regular THC. The shop guy said it works but that he has to take 2-3 times a single dose to feel affect. Well, an hour into this INCREDIBLE set, things starting getting very weird. Too weird. Im usually pretty dialed in with edibles, but the does we took ended up being a triple does in one gummy. Lets just way at one point, I could hear all of the individual instruments, but coming in waves at me as isolated streams noise/music. Normally I would be thinking whoa cool, but the intensity coupled with the flashing lights quickly became too much in our altered states. The wife yakking into a beer cup also contributed to a interesting night. That being said, the venue and the razor-sharp Furs definitely were top notch. My only wish is that I could have stayed and watched the entire gig.

2022-02-21Great Place for a music or comedy venue. I used to attend often and it would always be a great time until they implemented their Stalin type Vaccine Mandates. Sorry Paramount you lost another leper, because after all thats how you treat people by segregating them based on Private Health Inquiries.
