Hospitality and good food is what they offer. Ive been eating here for 20 years and never had a bad meal
Came here because of Dinners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The counter service was super friendly, but there wasnt a lot of seating. During peak times, I imagine there isnt enough room to sit. Visually, I never would have chosen to eat here on my own, but dont let it deter you. The food was great, we went with the spaghetti squash meal, which was full of flavor and felt like a real Italian dish. In the future, I would choose to just do take-out.
Great tasting! My wife got the roast beef with gravey and onions. Out... of... this... world! Mine, well, not so perfect. Breading seemed a little flaky and started to fall of the chicken tenders... which is telling me they were frozen (and store bought) also they were a little tough to bite and chew which confirms it. The blue cheese dressing that they gave me to dip my tenders in was amazing! Nice and subtle flavor on the blue cheese so it didnt overpower anything. Fries were nice and crisp and the price matched the portion sizes quite nicely. All in all great friendly people and good food, just consider fresh chicken and it would be next to perfect.
This is one of my new favorite spots. The pit stop was featured on Diners Drive in and Dives, this makes perfect sense as it is a fantastic hidden gem. the food s fantastic. All of the meets are flavored to perfection. the servers are nice and the service is fast. with a more then reasonable price this place is a must try.
Excellent burgers! Reasonable prices. Fresh ingredients. Order the onion rings for sure! The only minor issue is that their wraps dont have enough dressing, so be sure to ask for extra on the side.
I had the brisket sandwich , and it was superb ,very tender and beefy flavor ,also the bun was a good match.My wife had the classic cheese burger also delicious ,then the best coconut cream pie I have ever had !! And the staff very warm and friendly..It was truly a pleasureable experience. Will be going back for sure 💥💥😋😋

First time coming there after driving by everyday decided to try them I ordered a cheese burger seemed good but when I got the cheese burger combo with fries I learned that the hamburger bread was super hard the burger was not flamed broiled and the cheese was cold and not melted. I really was hungry and had no choice but to swallow it. Will try another item but not the cheese burger.
I got a grilled chicken salad that looked like they just threw together...it was my first and last time. I went because I seen it on one of those food shows but the hype was not worth it at all...I was disappointed...I dont know if it was because they were close to closing but it was so disappointing

The owner is an extremely nice guy. He and his staff are very accommodating to their patrons. I have eaten in, taken out and had them cater events for me. I have never been disappointed. The service they provide for catered events is awesome. The customer can truly enjoy their own party as the caterers do all the preparing, cooking, and cleaning if you ask them too.Their in-house menu is excellent. All the food is freshly cooked. Their soups especially the chicken gumbo is excellent. I especially enjoy their fried fish sandwich. The Coconut cake dessert is a great ending to a very good meal.

We heard about this place from a guy at work who was raving about their knish burger. It was so good!! Classic Burger joint. Real french fries, great prices, delicious food!! I got the All the way Burger 0 regrets, it was amazing. My fiance got the Mexican burger and he loved it. We will absolutely be back!!
Always friendly service like you are dining with friends, not employees. It hasnt sacrificed fast food for bad food. Clean, neat, delicious. I love the consistency of the food. Its always hot and fresh, with a real grilled outside at your BBQ taste.
So many great options to choose from, Pit Stop is another Merrick Staple. Food is prepared quickly and is very satisfying and the restaurant environment is very unique. Would recommend to anybody.
The food here is excellent. We stopped by here randomly just to try something new and were pleasantly surprised. The food did take a while to be prepared but its clear thats because its fresh and made to order - well worth the wait. Upon seeing the size of my wrap I thought it was way too small but it was very hearty and filling. French fries are amazing. They do have parking here. Definitely worth a visit.
Staff was very nice, and food very good especially the featured dishes. The BBQ Steak Wrap w pepper jack & bacon, was delish, I had the Cali Burger - the bacon was cooked crispy the way I like it and the avocado was abundant and at peak ripeness. Ive read mediocre reviews here, not sure why, our experience was great!

Havent been here in years but it was a nostalgic memory from my youth so I decided to eat at this establishment and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. I had a double bacon cheeseburger which was great. French fries were also delicious and it didnt cost much. About 21 dollars for the burger, my wife had two hotdogs, we each had large fries and got free refills too.
Have you ever walked into a place and been overwhelmed by the menu? You will here, but in a good way. So many unique dishes from Knish Burger to Quinoa Bowls. Everything looks great and tastes better. The friendly owner even offers to tweak anything on the menu and offers cups of ice if you buy a bottled drink. Great service, better food

The double cheeseburger with bacon was honestly just ok. Not as greasy as shake shack or 5 guys but the overall flavor was nothing to brag about. The fries were either served soggy or stale. If you want tastey fries, gyro palace next door is good.
The food here is generally very good, high quality food with good service. The only knock is some items like seasoning. I had the squash soup and it lacked salt. Their salad was very nice and a generous portion.
If I was to tell you there is something around this place that can offer this kind of food at the same quality I would be wrong. Very good for what they do. I can see why Guy Fieri loved it here
I love these guys and gals. Food is excellent and and so is the service and the price. Try the California Burger or the ribs. the sweet potato fries and the cornbread is good too. Call them 10 minutes in advance and its ready when you get there.
Im eating in a lot of places in my life this place is incredible burgers, the Philly cheesesteaks, the fish or even the Lobster in the summertime. The quality of their food is incredible and it fresh so if you want to try food that youll be amazed by try the pit stop
One of the best places Ive ever eaten at... apparently it was also shown on an episode of Diners Driveins and Dives with Guy Fieri. I never saw it, but completely understand why! The food was fresh and delicious. Tons of choices and it was so hard to choose between the regular menu and the daily specials! This is a must visit! Enjoy!
Went to take some food to go and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Cuban sandwich and was very pleased. The service was good, the food came out quickly and I must say it was delicious. Did not dine in so I cannot tell you about that experience but will definitely come back for more.
Amazing food- for the salad with tuna on it, new england clam chowder, ordered online, picked it up, and was home within 30 minutes. All the people working there were so nice, fast, and friendly! THANK YOU
The ingredients for the spaghetti squash are all fresh but the sauce is what really bring it together! Also had the chili and gumbo soup, I recommend both.
All the workers are just great, happy and charming! The two girls at the counter helps you see the specials and the menu. They take your order quickly and process it promptly.
I have ordered from the Pit Stop for the last 10 years. They have an extensive menu, which is great. But the food is eh. Some things are good, some arent. Im writing this review because of the experience we had last night when ordering. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It arrived and when I took a bite, I noticed the chicken was not cooked enough. Instead of getting sick, I threw out the sandwich. I then called the Pit Stop to ask for a credit for the sandwich only. Thats when I was told that someone would come to the house to look at the sandwich. Are you kidding me??? The sandwich had a bite in it and was in the garbage. The Pit Stop wanted someone to come by and inspect the sandwich to make sure it was in fact not cooked enough. For what, to save $7.00??? Its not like we call them for credits on a regular basis. Maybe I had to call them one other time in 10 years. Well, Pit Stop, I hope you are reading this because of trying to keep $7, you now lost good customers forever.
The Pit Stop catered our family party last Saturday. The food was delicious. Most of my guests had 2nds on everything. The main courses were chicken marsala and salmon teriyaki, along with baked ziti. The portions were abundant. The order was delivered exactly as planned. The food was hot and ready to eat. No warming up needed. We are so pleased with everything!
We stopped in because we saw it was on diners drive ins and dives and we loved it. great atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and the food was cheap and so good We had quinoa burger, the ruben(was on the show) and teriyaki chicken wrap All were delicious and unique. Highly recommend

Average at best fast food, nothing too great to write home about. If youre around, maybe try it out but dont go out of your way to get here. Sandwich was sloppy and forgettable. Fries were decent but who is going to go out of their way for a passable order of fries?
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices (for the most part). The parking lot is tiny and it is a little hot in the restaurant (we went in the summer) but this is a great place if youre looking for a simple, greasy, tasty meal.
The dog that I ordered hot was decent. If it was cooked more rare, it would become an exceptionally delicious meal. What truly makes this a five star restaurant is the super cute cashier that they hired. I now see why he was chosen for this job. He easily pulled in customers like it was nothing. I would totaaallly come back just to see his face again.
I wanted to try this place out for 5 years and I finally did it!!!! It should have been soon, bc the food and their owners are awesome. I felt I was a burger place BT with down home cooking. Owners fed us and allows us to finish our food at a great pace without making us feel they were closing- thats FAMILY for you!!!!!😄😄Everything, so tasty, and FRESH!!!! Thats some home cooking. The burgers are good and the seafood is fresh. I love eating here every time I get the chance. The only problem is the Yankee flag outside. I cant give 5 stars to an establishement that would support a team like that. It makes me wonder if they put performance inhancing drugs in their fries or pine tar in their in their burgers. The Greek restaurant nextdoor has the right idea. Their flag promotes a team with integrity. Im happy to give them a 5 star rating.

Pit Stop is one of our top 3 go to choices for take out/delivery, they have everything from cheeseburgers and fries to soups to stuffed spaghetti squash (with or without mozzarella). Its all homemade and tastes great. They have also catered, maybe 5 or 6, birthday parties for us. Tony and his entire staff are so very accommodating and friendly, he pulls off whatever I throw at him with flying colors, the prices for what you get are great and the food is always the rave. Weve had a taco bar for Cinco de Mayo (with homemade stuffed churros), pulled pork sandwiches with cold slaw, corn on the cob, mac and cheese and chicken fingers for a barnyard feast. This time we are doing different sliders with some sides. I highly recommend them, we continue to use them, weve never been disappointed.
One of the best american bbq places on the island. highly recommend the brisket and pulled pork they are the best items on the menu. they also have excellent specialty drinks and flavorful dessert items. every table has a roll of paper towels on it which is very key for people using their hands as utensils! a+ service and the restaurant has a warm, cozy feeling that makes you feel like your home
I went based on Guy Fieris show. I will not be making a second visit. Despite bad reviews from friends, my wife and I decided to try it for ourselves. Im now convinced those shows cannot be trusted. They couldnt exactly go somewhere and say it sucks. Anyway, the service was fine. The price was high, even by NYC standards. $30 for 2 lunch sandwiches and drinks? At least if the food was good, the price wouldnt be so offensive. Their Cuban sandwich was nothing like a Cuban. While I can appreciate adding your own nuances to something to make it your own, you still have to do it well. I would not order it again. The fries were fine. Overall, the place is small, uninviting and nothing special. The grime on the back of the credit machine was a huge turn off. I do appreciate the fact that they take pride in customer service, but for repeat business, the food has to be good. Total number of people who came in while we were there at noon on Saturday was 7; that in and of itself is telling. I remember Quiznos having 5x that before closing and frankly, their stuff was better and half the price. It seems their only claim to fame is Guys visit, as they have multiple pictures, videos and t-shirts all over the place with him or references to him. The menu is on TV screens and keeps changing while youre trying to read it. Bottom line...Save your money and go someplace else.
Service was nice, however the food was ehhhh. The philly cheesesteak was bland, French fries were over fried and no seasoning. King Pao calamari was not that spicy it was more on the sweet side and didnt taste like it was cooked fully. Fountain soda was flat.

Pretty sad about this but, my first trip here and was really excited about it. my girlfriend and i ordered the crispy chicken cheddar bacon sandwich and it looked overcooked but once i took a bite it was so dry it was entirely inedible. girlfriend sandwich - again inedible. :( i was sure this place was gonna be greatness..

Horrible, awful food. Fries were cooked in old oil.They looked dark brown and had zero taste. Fish sandwich was NOT fresh. Wasted $32 for 3 sandwiches will never go back ever again!!!!!!

So I get a flyers in mail box about this place with that guy from the cooking show, so naturally Im excited and want to go there. Big mistake !!! I order 1/2 of chicken cause Im thinking who can really mess up chicken. Boy I was wrong, I buy chicken from stop and shop and boston market that tasted far way better than this. It have no flavor and its not cook properly, so I call and complain and they send the drive with a next 1/2 , well that piece is not even better then the first and he claim that it just comes out the oven and well season. Guess he dont know well season and I wont be going back are recommend anyone either .

Id give five stars but yall dont deliver to my house in seaford anymore... yalls food is great especially the carb less burger... but I can make my own now if yall wont drive the five miles to deliver to us... sad...
As promised on Triple D, the spaghetti squash is a delightful twist on a comfort dish. While the pulled pork in the Cuban was outstanding, the sandwich left me wanting a bit more kick.

2022-02-20The service was so caring. And we changed our order and added things no problem. The service agent was lovely. And advised us about things that could save us a few pennies. And added enjoyment to the consumption of these lovely Foods. I think they make almost anything you could want with the combos you would get a food at a glorified chicken and burger place. It is the best. Look at their menu you will be taken back to the days of great food. And they make it great too

2022-02-05I went to The Pitstop one day for dinner and was very happy I chose this place. The food was fantastic. I had the New England Clam Chowder soup and split Ribs and Chicken with my father. The ribs were cooked perfectly and the meat slid right off the bone. They were smothered in BBQ sauce and tasted great. The chicken was cooked just right. It was crispy outside and juicy inside. I took a bite of my wifes Cuban Sandwich and absolutely loved it. I will definitely be returning here and recommend it to everyone!! Enjoy!!

2022-04-17The food is AMAZING and always fresh. Eating healthy never tasted so good!!! Shrimp burgers, spaghetti squash Primavera! You wont regret it! I havent tried the burgers yet , my friend RAVES about the pasta chicken salad!

2022-05-17Stopped by this place when I was working in the area. Definitely will be returning back to try out other dishes. I had ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and made it a combo with fries and drink. $12 for a quality grilled chx sandwich combo. Everything was good. Friendly and quick service.

2022-05-27Quaint clean wide array of daily specials ie. Shrimp burger (who knew). I was looking for a burger. There buns are truth. The patty should be bigger to balance bun and condiments in kett tom onion etc. Onion rings are BUST!!!FRIES ALSO when they dont need salt that is confirmation. I wanted my burger piping and juicy, it wasnt I will definitely verbalize that request. I will return BIGGIE GIMME 1 MORE CHANCE.

2019-03-03Wanted to try a new place, so I stopped by pitstop. This place brings an old school feel with its decor. The counter person was very nice and polite. I ordered some spicy wings and fries which were great. The wings were seasoned well all the way through. I would recommend you stop by and try them out. They also have fresh cooked food here as well, with the chefs right where you can see them working. Very nice place.

2019-06-15The food isnt what you would expect when you pull up. It looks more like a fast food place. They do have burgers and hot dogs but also spaghetti squash primavera. All fresh made.

2021-11-25Pit stop is Amazing! The food is so so good and very fresh every time. I never had a bad meal at pit stop. Just recently I tried a brisket sandwhich and i must say wow it was very good. After trying the brisket sandwhich I have been to pit stop 3 days in a row for the same meal. Yes it was that good! I would recommend anyone to try out pit stop.
