The Pizza Joint in other cities:
Went to order pizza tonight for my family and the lady that answered the phone had absolutely terrible customer service! We ordered else where and will not be ordering here again. If you want a place that actually treats customer as if they actually matter find somewhere else to go.
We have been ordering from the pizza joint for years! We usually order from there agleast once a month... today was no different. We always get the same thing. The staff was awful, the wait time was awful, and when we got home we realized our food was wrong. When we called to explain that our food was wrong the staff was complete a-holes with a member in the back yelling like a lunatic and they did nothing to provide an acceptable answer. We will never be ordering from there again. This is not the first time in the past few recent times the food was just mediocore. The staff should be ashamed of themselves and take a lesson in how to deal with the public. 😡 I work customer service and would never expect to be talked to, the way they did to us!
Very rude when trying to place an order. Went in to pick it up order the smell of marijuana over powered the smell of pizza being made. Also when speaking the was staff that my order was wrong they were very rude while explaining this is not more order. Do not recommend
We ordered from this place and it took Like a hour for us to get our pizza and wings when we got the wings we order mild they where extremely rude And Didn’t Offer to help we got the wings and they where so Sweet And had no crushed garlic like we asked this girl Was extremely rude to us and Didn’t help us at all not to mention We stood there for five minutes while Our pizza and things where done and nobody Gave it to us Till A girl Came up and Finally Gave Us our pizza and wings other people where getting there pizza very quickly Please don’t Order from this place again
#1. Ordered zeppolis, which to ANYONE WHO EATS THESE, knows they come with a jelly to dip them in. Turns out, these guys just sell ya fried dough with nothing to dip them in. #2. Ordered a 6” sub and a grilled chicken wrap, which at normal places you get a complimentary bag of chips, WRONG. So you’re telling me i spent 30$ on food that’s literally missing the basic elements? Way over priced, food doesn’t even taste that good, and this place sucks.👍🏼
We ordered their extra hot bone in wings and they were amazing! The sauce was perfect and the wings were great......good quality and they don’t have the prices jacked up like many other places. We also ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Love their crust and the flavor was excellent.
The Pizza Joint is my favorite spot to order from since moving to Johnstown. Pizza is amazing. Wings and Antipasta are good, too. Oh, and that incredibly polite, handsome delivery driver with the beard and those piercing blue eyes can deliver my food anytime. Anytime.
The foods great but their number isnt working. Like at all. Secondly, the prices of your food arent adding up to the prices listed on the menu. And yes I included tax. Did they start charging like ten bucks for delivery or something? Im not the only person who has mentioned this.
There’s something for everyone here! Wings, pizza, subs, sandwiches, and all of them are delicious! Not much room to sit unfortunately so not a great place to hang out, which would be great because it’s such an inviting relaxed atmosphere. Best pizza for the area, and never a slice leftover afterwards to take home—a good thing!
I give this place three stars. The food is really good! However they wont deliver to our house even though we are a 10 minute drive from them. Market street pizza in johnstown delivers and they are well over a 20 minute drive. Too bad because I love their garlic knots and cant always get out of the house with my 1 year old in tow
Usually great food and great staff. However today we had a very rude girl take our order. Asked if we could get cheese melted on our French fries. She responded with we can try. Then ordered a mild buffalo chicken salad. Get it all the time. However when we got it, it was different. Called to say wasnt what we always get. Told me to come back and they would make another. I went back and was told no they made what I ordered. Told them I order it once a week and it is not what I ordered. Left with the same lousy salad. 8 bucks just cost a customer.
I think they have the best pizza in town. The portions are huge and the staff is great. They are open late night and best to call ahead as they get busy due to having such good products. They have a great variety of food. Try their chef salads which are big enough for entire family or a few meals. Parking is right out front so its easy to stop and pick up your food quick. They also deliver if you dont feel like going out.
For a place that names itself THE PIZZA JOINT, they best be good at pizza. Well we were sadly mistaken. The first night we tried the specialty pizza Buffalo Chicken Pizza the dough and the crust of the pizza was on point. The chicken was terrible. Possibly day old left over fried chicken that was extremely dry and had no flavor. We also got bone in wings HOT. This was the highlight of the night an the reason we entertained ordering from here again. Well tonight they would get no stars. The supreme pizza was so overloaded that the middle was soggy and the crust and ends were BURNT. WE LOVED THE wIngs last time so we tried them again but went a little hotter and boy oh boy was that a train wreck. It was like a buttered soup with a dash of hot sauce. Not sure if they mixed our order with some one else or not but I dont think we will be ordering from this joint again. Possibly the cooks were smoking the joints and thats why our food was so bad tonight. Sad because I love pizza and wings :(
Garlic knots are so good! The pizza could use just a little work though. The cheese had an issue staying on the slice, perhaps maybe they should put a little less water in their sauce?? (No put intended) Ive worked in a pizzeria, and when they use the sauce sometimes its a little too thick, so they got to add a little water to make the consistency better. Im not completely sure if thats the case but other than that the pizza is pretty good. I think their pizza has actually gotten somewhat better over the couple years.
Worst customer service ever rude and half the time burnt ! Stop answering phones at like 9:45 10 pm . Dinning in forget it freezing and can’t move . Stop ordering from this place please Gloversville needs a good pizza spot this is not it ! Only good reviews they have are from people who work there or the family 🤔
The food is good, however the staff is very rude and unprofessional.. We ordered $142 worth of food and the refused to deliver it due to an $8 lunch special that was included in the order. Upon picking up the order we asked why the refusal of delivery as we weekly order at-least $60 worth of food to be delivered, and we could not continue to order without delivery..told by women who announced herself as the owner that she does not care if we order or not, she has been there for 16 years and she knows how to do business, customers do not run her business. Then threatened to call police if we even think of canceling order. I asked for her name to which I was told.. none of your business, but I have yours and your number.
I have recently moved to the area and I have decided that The Pizza Joint has the best Pizza in Gloversville. I know this is just my opinion, but I have always been satisfied with the food. I usually just keep it basic with a Pizza and Wings and they have been consistent so far. Crispy Garlic- Parm wings are my go to. Pizza is fresh and tasty with the right amount of sauce, cheese, and other toppings of choice. Supreme can be a bit soggy due to toppings so I suggest ordering it well done, that seems to do the trick for me. There is some room for improvement as far as attentiveness to the customer. My last visit I seemed to walk in on a younger staff who was more concerned with talking among themselves about prior nights events instead of taking care of every customer that seemed to be waiting for something. I was finally noticed and waited on promptly when the deliver driver a big older dude (maybe owner/manager?) came blasting through the front door, obviously moving with a purpose came in the door and noticed me waiting. He put down his delivery bag and seemed to get things moving a bit with the young people, they all perked up and started moving when he started asking questions. He was very polite and greeted not only myself, but others with a smile and thanked us for the business. More focus on service please. This guy could teach customer service class. No one likes to wait. Most people want to get in and get out. Accurate pick up times are welcome. I would rather be told it was going to take a bit longer instead of showing up and then only having half of my order ready. I dont expect perfection but if the staff there got it together with the timing it would make a drastic improvement to their business. Overall good. With a little more effort from service side of things I think I would rate it great.
I used to love this place, but after a terrible experience I will no longer be a customer there.I ordered food--asked specifically twice for a specific type of food, and they send me the wrong order. I call them back, and was very cordial in letting them know that they got my order wrong. They insinuated that I was the one wrong, leading me to ask to speak with the manager. The owner of the business got on the phone, and proceeded to tell me that they dont pay for their customers mistakes and HUNG up on me.I respect your choice if you continue to do business with them, but I will no will longer.
Terrible costumer service.. I order from there 2-3 times a week and today we ordered a roast beef sub which smelled like fish, it didnt smell right at all. So we called to see if they could help and ended up getting hung up on 3 times, she had such an attitude. They told us that it was new and they had smelled it and it smelled fine. Well ours didnt, even said they could send someone to smell it if they didnt believe us. They said maybe its the ranch making it smell like that..we smelled just the meat and still smelled awful. So now I have nothing to eat and a sub that smells terrible. A good restaurant would have sent a new sub or at least tried to find a solution. Pizza Joint in Gloversville is not trustworthy and offers no help if you need it. They have lost our business forever. And every one I know is going to hear about this. I am so disgusted by the sub and the terrible attitude the lady had. Dont pick Pizza Joint to eat at. I just love throwing money away, especially since that was supposed to feed me for the day, money isnt everywhere here. Such rude people these days. She needs to be fired.
We have been loyal customers of the Pizza Joint for over a decade. While we have never found fault with their food we do take exception with the highly unprofessional nature of one staffer in particular named Amanda. Busy Saturday night, our order was a little messed up, understandable, were easy going folks, just fix it. No harm, no foul. Amanda though seems to think she can treat the customers like she is a parent teaching a naughty child a lesson because there was a miscommunication due to the lack of training that she (as self proclaimed manager) should have previously provided to the young lady who originally took our order. When I told her I no longer wished to speak to her and would be calling the owner in the morning, she proceeded to return call my home phone not once, not twice, but FOUR more times, in under 8 minutes, until I had to advise her that her repeated calls were a harassment and any further contact from her would be met with a visit from the local police. Seeing as they have had another such visit just recently, due to an issue with irate customer, perhaps the fault is not in the establishment itself but in the choice of persons whom they have chosen to hire.
Aunt ordered Pizza Joint well I was at her place, I had 2 slices and I felt somewhat nauseous and it caused me digestive issues for about 36 hours afterwards. It made my Aunt and Cousin nauseous as well. I think it was the cheese because my younger cousin who only had the crust with toppings scraped off was fine.
My car is in the shop, I commute to Gloversville. I am unfamiliar with the area but my dental assistant recommended this spot at the last minute. Although they didnt have a veggie wrap on the menu they accommodated my request and it was delicious. Thank you for saving my lunch. When my car gets out of the shop I have a new spot. -Dr. Shon
Worst service I ever had and when I tried to call after three times of a mess up he goes come on let’s hear it blah blah blah been living in Gloversville for three years and travel outside the town purposely not to deal with this type of of people not a problem spending gas and toll money to bring My business outside of this town
So unfortunate. I wanted to order an order of garlic knots. I asked if they could put cheese on it. The lady said no but she could give me a side of mozerella. I said well inside of giving it to me on the side can you just dump it on top of the garlic knots in the container they will be delivered in? She pauses and said I caaaaan trrrry to tell them to do that but they migh not do it that way......Honestly how hard would it be to dump the cheese on top of the garlic knots, I didnt ask for it to be cooked that way. Only put on top while they were still hot so by the time they were delivered , the cheese would have been melted. Her unwillingness to even commit to something so simple was completely ridiculous. There are other places to order from that are far more accommodating. Not worth the hassle if you have any special request, no matter how simple. Really a shame.
I’ll give you two stars since most of yourFood is delicious. But I willSay I have no problem hanging up mid order because your employee Samone has an attitude. I asked a simple question about part of my order. Get better wait staff...some that don’t street fight as a hobbie, or go through your Facebook reviews cussing customers out...must be why you’re not on Facebook anymore...anyways Jason your a great person. Just think you could do better with the people you hire.
The lady who answered the phone to tell me there closed even though there website says they close at 11.pm . after pointing that out to her she tells me they dont have a website . as im looking right at it and got there number from it. Always something with these guys
They say the close at 10pm but they stop taking orders at 9pm, they just let the phone ring and ring and ring. Ive been in there while this has happened multiple times. Their pizza quality has gone down within the last few years but sometimes they make it right. Dont get me wrong its still good pizza but definitely not worth the price they charge.

2022-06-11Pizza is in the sauce. Excellent sauce toppings were plentiful and evenly distributed across the pie. Two thumbs up will definitely order again and again and again.....

2022-05-17Ordered a large sub this past weekend. The sub was fantastic. A bakery fresh roll, loaded with meat, toasted to near perfection. The price was well worth it. I am slightly ashamed of myself for eating the entire thing, because it could easily feed 2 or more people. I will definitely order again soon.

2022-04-13Two slices and an RC cola. Cant beat it for 6 dollars. Compared to the other pizza places in town, this is one of the better, if not the safest choice. Staff is always friendly and the pizza is always hot.

2022-02-01My wife & I recently moved here. Tried this place for the first time this past Saturday. We got two plain slices and tried the pepperoni and sausage slices. Everything was incredible. She also said the staff was extremely friendly & helpful. We will definitely be going there again.

2022-04-10The last two times I went, and the last time Ill ever go there, I received AWFUL customer service from the adults in the establishment. I was grateful for one young kid to help me and be polite, other than that its just dirty looks and unwillingness to do their jobs. I walked out with empty hands during my second visit because I was so blown away by how rude the employees were to not only me but their younger coworkers who were the only ones showing an ounce of customer service.
