The Q gets my vote for the most overwhelming gay club experience in Hells Kitchen--for better or for worse. Its huge, with multiple stories, and it can be a lot of fun, but its best to go when youre plastered with a group of friends. Despite a cover, this place also gets extremely packed, so much so that getting around can be next to impossible (like the top dance floor) but there are definitely some gorgeous guys running around here that it just might be worth it.
QOmg 😱 Q WAS SO MUCH FUN 🤩🥳🤩🥳🤩I absolutely recommend definitely that as a place to go! The more men the merrier!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏 without say good too much and to keep it appropriate it’s a place you want to go earlier with your friends dance with them drink then get lost in the crowd and see where the night leads, the multi level functions and the set up so you can have multiple themes of music for different people is so awesome I was so impressed, it does get super crowded but we love it and we know it 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
I come here from NJ for one reason only; seeing the most handsome guy in earth. I came here first time last year and I noticed the hottest guy ever in the club (black hair/black beard and fit) , I asked the bartnder at that time and he told me he is just customer but I always seeing him there ! Always when I see him make my night worth it, I believe the Q should hire him, most people always looking at him, tonight I want it to have fun with him but I was scared, though enjoyed seeing him in darkroom getting s###ed by literally everyone
Had been a couple of times and it always has been very fun. I am very sure they do not comply with fire safety rules (too many people) and the bouncer is rude, uneducated and frankly does not know how to do his job. Would not want to give me my legal state issued identification, (under the premise that it was a fake) the police was almost involved.
I live in New York and this is not my first time visiting ‘The Q’ but it will definitely be my last. This city is rightfully known for its nighlife, and with so many options, why would anyone go to a place where they have no respect for the customers and they think they can do whatever they want?First of all, security is extremely rude and last night, the bouncer on the 2nd floor entered in a heated discussion with one of my friends because he was on the phone and didn’t hear him say there’s $5 dollars cover. Second, service is not great but yesterday it was unbelievably bad. After messing up my drink order, one of the bartneders even found appropriate to question me about not leaving 20% tip, which is standard for restaurants. In NYC bartneders usually expect $1 tip for every drink they serve you and let’s not forget that after all, tipping is totally optional.Save your time and go somewhere you will actually have a good time with your friends. The Rise and Industry are good options and they’re jjust couple of blocks away!
Full of Alabama white princess, farm queens that think everyone should wear woman clothes and be fem like them. Have no diversity, don’t understand that nyc is an international city and its only great because of that. Horrible ugl¥ guys who wear hills and make up to proof a point but won’t like anyone with a different color. Bartenders don’t look like they’re serving you, it’s like they are doing you a favor. Hope they close this place and build something new.
When club Q opened in the summer of 2021, it felt like our queer scene in NY was “coming back” after multiple queer venues closed due to Covid. Especially living only 4 blocks away, my partner and I were excited to support a new queer venue that expressed a zero tolerance to homophobia, transphobia, racism, and body positivity. But the truth is, they never stood for any of that. The exposure of their toxic owner cements that this place needs a complete overhaul or be exiled from our community. We will also avoid the owners other ventures in the neighborhood (Hush, Boxers) until this racist man has been bought out and no longer profiting from these establishments.
Very bad staff in terms of bartenders. Although they are usually trans woman or queer dudes, they are NOT inclusive AT ALL. They treat people differently to the point where you question if they are being discriminatory. The security people are WAY nicer than bartenders. The bar people will be extremely rude and if you complain they will call security on you.
The rooms are too small, impossible to dance, except for the third floor. Not worth the $25 ticket or the $6 bottle of water. The bartender was rude, and the dancers were not sensual or charismatic. One of the restroom stalls had no light at all, completely dark. It was quick to get to coat check, and the music was good. I do not recommend it.
Was really fun until I got my wallet stolen here. I told security and most of the security staff was very helpful, even let me check the cameras with them but then the manager staff came and said they didnt have time for this and basically told me they couldnt do anything. I know another person got their wallet and phone stolen and two other people got their wallets stolen. Sad the manager staff doesnt seem to care about safety.
Im extremely disappointed in the Q tonight. I thought this would be an inclusive space where queer people would thrive, but there is an abusive staff member named Moses whos been bullying people all night. Many of us have seen him pick fights with random patrons & as soon as I started video taping his behavior he assaulted me & threw me out of the space. Ive spoken with Harrison (a manager) about it and Id really encourage leadership to *at minimum* ask the crowd about Mosess misconduct.
My husband and I decided to check this place out while in Times Square for the first time and it did NOT disappoint! The drinks were AMAZING thanks to Johnathan! He also gave us some good tips on where to get great food and night life. We enjoyed the comedy show upstairs too! I don’t think we’ve laughed that hard in a long time. So glad we ended up checking it out and we will definitely be returning!
Save your time. This place took the comedy of the Roxbury and the fun of the party being the wait in line to get in, stripped out the camp, and unironically cranked the drama to an 11. One shouldnt need to buy tickets on Thursday to go out on a Saturday to a place where the most room to breathe can be found in the bathroom (where theres a DJ playing house?) but for which going to the bathroom also requires you give up your spot on the dance floor and potentially forcing you to wait half an hour to get back in.
The staff is so rude. I felt discriminated being at this club. I left my jacket at the coat rack and couldn’t find my Airpods. Don’t really have manners to treat people and especially the lady at checkins was so rude. I’d never recommend this place for an outsider, since the staff don’t know how to behave, they bullied us.
First floor in general is great. I loved the DJs on all floors. Even the flooding bathroom had a live DJ.You need tickets. The bartenders were all lovely drinks are alright but pricy for HK. 2nd floor had a room Id have loved to party in but it had no A/C. 3rd floor is cool. The bathroom situation sucks if your crew is on the 3rd floor.
The first night we went it was about 3am. Cover was $25 each. Somewhat busy. Didn’t care for the DJ in the bathroom. Everyone was waiting for the stalls because nobody wanted to use the urinals so long lines. There was a line to change floors, which was annoying if you were with people in different floors. Second night we came earlier and the experience was awful. There were three lines: reentry and “guest list” aka friends of the owner. Prepaid, aka locals who know they better buy in advance or they will end up in the dreaded (what we didn’t know) third line, people who need to pay to get in. The second line was huge and the pay line was very short. We thought that was cool until we were standing there for a good 30 minutes and noticed they weren’t letting anyone from the pay line in. Then when we asked we found out the pay line wasn’t going to get serviced until the other lines (which were constantly refreshing) were empty. So we waited an hour to pay $25 each. Once inside it was so packed you couldn’t move. There were huge lines for drinks, bathrooms, and going upstairs. We ended up leaving without enjoying the place at all. If you go buy tickets in advance and don’t go when it’s that busy unless you love paying $25 to stand in lines.
Cool vibes and a multi-level venue with a dance floor for just about every taste and desire. Incredible interiors and awesome DJs that make the experience feel fun. Its great to have a new queer bar addition to NYC.Do be warned though, the drinks in this bar are EXPENSIVE. A vodka soda will set you back about $15 -- and thats for bottom shelf vodka.
A high energy bar with multiple floors and DJs. The party was electric and had good mixes and a healthy sprinkling of crowd pleasing classics. The drinks where strong and totally not the point of the experience, and honestly, if you are coming here specifically for the drinks, you are doing it wrong
The bald security guard was especially rude. It ruined my night and left us with a really bad feeling. It was because we didnt feel comfortable just handing our phones to him rather than show him the covid card on our phones. He was not happy and was extremely mean about everything. My fiancée and I came with two platinums ready for bottle service, we feel weird ever coming back.
The venue is real awesome and reminds me of Ultrabar in DC cuz of the multi-floor different music theme. The crowd was small but real PO$H when i went in cuz there was a cover charge of $20 although for DC that’s a regular. Apparently cover charges are not common in NYC and locals hated it. I would definitely visit again when I’m back to NYC tho.
Absolutely disrespectful staff/management. In a rain storm after spending $25 per person (group of 6 people) for pre-ticketing “no wait line”, they had us wait outside for 25 minutes in poring rain. After waiting 25 minutes, we got inside and it was practically empty!! The disrespect was atrocious!!
When you come to a new place. inside which is empty. and the white nose raised up on the street says sold out. guys, good luck. it will be useful to you. except Friday and Saturday, there are other days. and on those two days [Friday&Saturday] there is plenty of choice in NYC and in your area. old and kind places. ... hold on tight. and let the that witheTra$h one dollar for learn good manners for the Queen on the street. writhes? -it doesnt work like that
DJ Vescovo killed the house music game in the Speaqeasy room. Give him some time in the Disqo room ;) Would love to see more of a deep/tribal house vibe to distinguish this place from the same music we hear at other gay bars. Overall great energy from everyone here. Put this place at the top of your list for a fun night out in Manhattan.
They kicked my sister out who does not speaks English! We were dancing and a female security guard tried to take my sister out of the club, my sister was not understanding what was going, so when I asked this girl why, she just said cause she needed to leave. When we got to the door then she started hitting my sis in the face!!!! We ended up in the hospital!! See pictures attached!! Do not recommend it!
I am a straight female who has best friends that are gay. I was brought here for fun and absolutely adore this place. If you like to have a good time this place is for you. Every floor is different music, you pick what kind of vibe you want for the night. They play the best pop music and dance music. Every floor is fun. I would recommend 10/10. When I die cremate me and spread me in the red room with the horse. So much fun!
I was planning to go to a party on Friday, October 29, because they had told me very well about the club. After queuing for 1 hour and with the rain I managed to pay for my ticket. What is my surprise when the girl who checks my vaccination certificate tells me that I cannot enter because I only have one dose. I try to explain that I am Spanish and in my country people who have passed the Covid only have one dose applied, since according to the Spanish Government they have some immunity. Therefore, if Astrazeneca has two doses, only one (1/1) is applied to us. And I repeat by mandate of the Spanish Government. The girl was rude and did not let me explain the circumstances, I tried to talk to another girl and the same until they called the security guard to kick me out. Unfortunately this attitude. I felt helpless at not being able to make them understand what was happening. First of all, they have to find out the specifications of the vaccination certificates for foreigners because they are not the same as those in the United States. It seemed to me a discriminatory treatment and at least they had to contrast the information and be more empathetic.

2022-08-12The best in the city. I would not recommend any other clubs but this one because Q has probably gay club i been to so far! A massive four story high gay club that caters to all and it’s like a department store that has different DJs and music that will suit according to your preference. I give it 10/10

2022-08-21Vacationing and wanted to find club that was fun based on my taste club is not really my type music is very progressive 3rd floor can’t even understand the lyrics music so loud all you hear is bass. The cover to get in is $20 Saturday wait time in line 1 hour it was gross. For my taste not worth it 2nd floor was commercial music and 1st just as bad as second floor. Little Latin room pretty jammin.

2021-12-20Such a fun night out with my husband and new friends we met at a previous bar! Drinks were great, friendly bartenders…. Music was great different rooms with different music for different vibes. Most “extra” bathroom I’ve been in, the bathroom had its own DJ with the music bumpin. Also Billy Porter was in the house. Love him!

2022-06-12Really enjoyed my first experience at the Q but the second was nothing like the first. More than 40+ people got their phone/wallets stolen on the third floor within an hour and a half. Spy belts/phone chains needed. Front door staff, tall bald man and short curly haired women were extremely rude about the manner and were not transparent about what was being done. Management was helpful in explaining what was being done.

2022-07-04I liked that there’s different rooms. It was fun time. I took a friend from out of town and we had a good time. It was a weekday so it was a bit slow, but it was just nice to check it out. They’re free before a certain time. The $20 cover isn’t worth it. On weekends there’s always a long line since they’ve opened. Just not really my vibe.

2022-04-06It’s definitely a must go! One of the best gay nightclubs in Manhattan!! Extremely fun and unique. Love the vibe, lots of hot guys and the staff is really nice. Different type of music on each floor which is awesome.

2021-08-22My friends and I went there on Saturday night. And it was the best decision ever! We thought it will be less ppl because of the storm, Henri. There were so many ppl, but it was so so much fun! The bartenders are also really nice especially IVAN! The line going on the third floor was a bit messy, but we had fun. We will definitely come back next time when I’m town.

2022-03-23The bartenders sucked. They disappeared all the time, and were busy with listening to the music and dancing with themselves. One almost lost my credit card and was even ignorant about it and acted stupid. So weird. Considering the location and interior design, this place should easily get a five star listing. It does not. So, there is for sure something wrong with this place. I went here just because of it being new. No reason to return.
