2021-08-28The Queen Elizabeth I Garden is a memorial park located at 11 Hanover Square No. 12 and Pearl Street, Financial District in Lower Manhattan, New York, NY. A conversation piece and a delightful breath of fresh air at anytime of the day.

2020-10-13Small little park with lots of benches for sitting and munching of lunch. The curving flower beds make it seem bigger than it is, and add a lot of interest. The buildings around it are very attractive too. The park is dedicated to the British victims of 911. And yes, the Queen was there to open it.

2020-01-24Gorgeous walking paths and architecture through the entire whole park. Trees and plants are labeled in order to actually learn a thing or two when you walk around. Wednesdays the lands pass is free therefore i have not been in to the conservatory but just walking on was very relaxing. Employees was also very helpful.

2015-12-16This is a tiny triangular park flanked by three streets - two of which - Pearl and Stine street are the Dutch Names. The name Hanover comes from the house of Hanover (King George I - 1730).This place has good sitting areas. This was the starting place of the Great fire of New York (12/16/1835), which had consumed much of lower Manhattan. 674 buildings were lost, but surprisingly only 2 lives were lost. The park is named Queen Elizabeth II Garden - a memorial for 9/11 British victims.

2015-11-18Hanover Square is a square with a public park in the Financial District. It is triangular in shape, bordered by Pearl Street, Stone Street (which is now pedestrian-only) and a street named Hanover Square. It is very easy to miss if you arent looking for it, but it has lots of history. The square was known by its current name as early as 1730, during the period of British colonialism. In 1714, it was named for the House of Hanover, when King George I ascended to the throne.
