I went to this store 2 days ago and was not happy at all. The staff clearly demonstrates their inability to possess ANY and ALL Customer service skills needed to maintain in accordance to the lowest standard of Ethics.They are Rude and ignore direct contact with Customers. The Atmosphere is so Negative and the Prices are extremely elevated for clothes that were stained and plainly should have been disposed of. This store clearly needs new Management Urgently the Potential to thrive would be Present if a brand new set of Management would be hired and trained properly.
I went into this SA at 9 am Monday and volunteers were already pulling all the Blue tags which were marked $1.00 on the poster at the front door. This means that those items were on the racks at this price for less than one hour. What gives? If yo dont want to clearance prices these items dont...but this is a scam...get people in the door but dont offer what you are advertising.
One of the best location I ever been too. Huge selection and friendly employees makes it a great place to shop. Monday - Saturday is half off two different color tags. Another color tag is 99¢. The rest of the tags are what is labeled for price.

There really isnt a selection of things. The place is a little dirty. The workers are extremely rude. I wanted to not purchase something and the guy rang it through anyways. Gave me issues. Then lied and said I was the problem. I always have to wait for someone to come to the register. People are always mean. Just not a fun place to go to. But hey, the clothes are cheap.
The Salvation Army has lack of knickknacks these past few months I want to know where theyve been. In the store could be a hell of a lot cleaner. I spend most of my time there picking things up off the floor. But I also love all the bargains. I shop at least once a week on half day Wednesday. this rating goes to the Salvation Army in Amherst on Niagara Falls Boulevard thank you
Its a really nice place if you like thrifting its clean and for the most part tidy because when people thrift they tend to be messy, some great bargains to be found.
First time at this store. Fred a staff at the Salvation Army was unapproachable and rude. Didnt assistant me professionally and was consenting with his responses. Hoping managment reads the reviews and address the issues to promote better costumer service to the public.

The creame de le creame of thrift stores. Would give it 5 stars however since covid they are only open till 5. Those hours suck and leave me scrambling around the store hurriedly, making my shopping trip less enjoyable and more of a chore.
Theyre supposed to be a Christian thrift store but they sneak price tags on hard cover books that are supposed to be $1.50 and make you pay triple! Hopefully God will forgive them!
Tons of clothes, organized pretty well. I wish they had more toys and books. Only one register, so if you come on Wed then be ready to wait in a long line!
Customer service isnt great, and the store tends to be quite dirty. However, I have found some great stuff here, and will keep coming back.

Good bargains. Just bought a bills hoodie with the tag still on for 40 dollars. Got it for 5dollars. Jim Schondeld final record for a dollar. Its going in the man cave on the wall.

Cheap clothes with a wide variety and courteous staff, but place is a little disorganized. Cant blame them as they apparently get over 4,000 items donated per day on average.
Great place to donate clean usable household clothes etc All $ goes back into local community!
Great place. Occasionally the people working the till are a bit unprofessional (gossiping about drama with each other as they ring out items) but the selection is good and prices are great.
I usually stop in to see if they are any unique paintings. Once in awhile you may find something unique that you really like.
Great if you go on a Wednesday when they offer 1/2 off many items.

2022-04-23Fantastic place to shop with color tags. My only issue is with one particular guy there who maybe a manager not sure. But he just seems rude and condescending. When he’s at the registers, I just try and wait for another person to come instead. I’mSorry to say it. But his vibe is really rude. Apart from that the other staff is outstanding. Love this place.

2021-12-14For some reason, one worker in particular felt the need to follow me around the store and eagle eye everything I touched. He then proceeded to ignore all the discounted items I had and rang them as full price, throwing them across the counter and leaving them half falling on the floor, and tried to move on to other customers when all my purchases were still lying across both counters. I double checked my receipt because what I paid was triple the cost I expected, and thats when I figured out that he sure enough rang in items twice and ignored everything discounted.Horrible experience, and they dont enforce covid distancing or cleanliness at all. If you drop anything on the floor, it will come up chalky with months of dust.Go to amvets or goodwill. This salvation army was the WORST.

2021-10-20The Salvation Army provides a great service to the community by providing affordable, gently used clothing.For the style conscious, much of the clothing is so old that it is back in style again.Something added since covid is the 99¢ specials.Also the store seems much tidier than before convid. The messier customers may be staying home making the store less crowded, too.

2021-05-24Will never donate here again. We came with an SUV full of items to donate. There was a sign posted saying not to drop items without an associate. My husband was waiting for the associate to greet him and guide us. The associate just stood there staring at him and said nothing. I asked him where we can drop the items and he said bring them in and I will tell you. Uh okay. He acted as though we were a bother. Did not give us a donation slip for tax purposes. Did not say hello, good bye, thank you, etc. this was the first and last time we donate here.

2018-04-18The prices are reasonable, better than Goodwill lately. The store on the Blvd has gone through a cleaning phase and its much nicer in there now. I always find something, just love the hunt. They do NOT have a public restroom in case youre with kids or need it yourself! Three changing rooms with a limit of 3 items at a time so be courteous to others who are waiting to try on. Everyday is a different color tag 50% off day, Wednesdays are more colors but also very busy! Good selection.

2020-01-08This store used to be my favorite thrift store of all time when I started college. The organization of the store has become a little more chaotic since then, but the selection is amazing. The store is literally packed. There is more furniture than Ive seen at any thrift store. The employees are always extremely friendly, and with the college crowd so close, there is plenty of like-new, high quality clothing.

2020-12-09Not exactly pleased ... usually very pleased with this location ... in line behind 4 others who were given extreme “deals “ because they had exact change. My turn ... I was offered a extreme deal ~ till I told Mr. cashier I didn’t have exact change... he told me “well you have to pay full price then”. Wow .....didn’t expect this ... wow!

2021-07-08I recently dropped off two SUV loads of clothing. Ppl donating are required to bring the items into the storage area themselves. Associate will direct you to where you need to place the items. They are not permitted to help you unload donations, as they need to go thru a sorting & inspection process. This also eliminates any liabilities invited from damaging the donated items before they are under SAs control. The tax forms are on a podium right next to the donation dropoff area doors.

2021-01-31This place is huge, and Ive found some great stuff here for cheap. However, the posted hours say they are open till 6, yet apparently they close at 5. Thats fine, but the employees should not try to rush customers out of the store a full half hour before closing. OR MAYBE POST THE CORRECT HOURS?
