I got to the Salvation Army store regularly. Now that there are Covid measures in place, (having to wear a mask, social distancing, etc..) Its not as good of an experience, because we are not allowed to use the dressing rooms or the rest room. How will we know if something fits or if we are happy with an item if we cant try it on? There is no refund policy, so better be sure something is your correct size, no room fir guessing because you lose money if you get it home and you are not pleased with it. So thats why I gave this last experience 3 stars.
The main staff is quite helpful but the management is quite rude, ill tempered, and generally unprofessional. The prices are way overpriced even by the main HQs standard according to an anonymous employee. So if you have a complaint about prices call the Syracuse division and theyll handle it. Theyre quite helpful. Also, be extremely careful when buying furniture. Rumor has it that some people have had their furniture stolen.Overall, poor management leads this great, helpful store to sub par standards.
Clean, lots of selection for any category, never know what treasures youll find. Reasonable pricing even on big ticket items. This store is much better managed than others Ive been to. Employees are friendly and always working to keep things updated and neat. Recommend it.. My go to store.
If I could put zero stars I would. Cant try on anything nor can we return anything if they dont fit. When asked why, covid naturally is to blame.... But covid ironically is not to blame for not taking donations. So if I spend 100 dollars on items but 50 wont fit .... I eat that 50 because they cant take items back but Im more than welcome to re- donate the same items to the same facility for free.
I love the salvation army in Rome but the prices are a little higher than they should be for use items and one of the managers there is not so friendly and I feel she keeps all the good stuff in the back for family purchases as I noticed two weeks ago other than that I allways find every thing I need

2022-06-12I really wish cashing out was easier here. It takes forever for someone to come up to the register and then their machines are always slow and they never have my rewards information. That’s my only complaint about this place. Other than that they’re one of the best in the area.

2017-12-22Ehh...to me it seems like it has gone downhill a bit caw caw. At least what they accept to sell to people. Some of the things they have are VERY worn in and still charge almost half the retail value of it.Employees were nice, at least the ladies in the front made a conversation caw caw.The need some music in the back of the store as well, it just becomes a creepy zone when you go back there.

2022-02-03This is my Go-to place for clothing for our large family. Half price ticket day is Wednesdays. All color coded tags hanging over the register are half price, just love it! All the essentials that you would need for a household are here for much less than you would pay at a regular store. The store is very neat and clean.

2021-10-26Great store, always clean, great prices however you should probably fix the times youre open because it says open at 8am when theres a sign that says open at 10 and me and my husband drove 20 mins for that when it said open online... Fix that and stores perfect.

2020-10-20Love this location. The staff is awesome, especially Elena. The store usually has a good selection of things and the staff doesn’t hide all the good stuff to buy later. The store doesn’t stink and is pretty clean considering. My only complaint is that Salvation Army itself doesn’t donate to people who lose everything in a house fire or some type of natural disaster.

2021-01-15Great selection in the store today. Havent been there in almost a year. Had a ton of clothing in my cart ready to try on but the fitting rooms were CLOSED. Ended up putting back 20 or so items, sadly. Not sure what COVID19 has to do with trying on clothes but they lost a good amount of money today. Will go to Wal-Mart, the fitting rooms are open there.

2020-11-28Clean. Well organized. Good selection. Staff had their masks on right and actually asked a customer to put theirs on correctly, over their nose. I wish more places were like this.
