Excellent company to do business with- We dealt with Laura Roth out of the225 E 59 St, NY NY location to install some blackout shades in our condo unit. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to deal with. We worked with Darron and the entire experience from designing to measuring to installation has exceeded my expectations.The teams that came in for measurements and installation were courteous and professional, they wear masks and shoe covers the entire time, and cleaned up the working area after completion, and more importantly, are careful and respectful of my furniture when it comes to carrying around equipment especially as ladders, definitely a step above many contractors or handyman Ive worked with in the past.My window had a floor to ceiling window that required quiet a bit of complexity in terms of measuring, designing and installation. The process and the end result really exhibits the attention to detail for measuring and design as well as the quality of installation, where every piece fits seamlessly.While there may be cheaper options on the internet for blinds, Ive find that the material used is definitely superior. For instance, I can clearly see and appreciated the dedicated light filtering and insulating material lined inside my double cellular blackout blinds, which were non-existent in my old blinds (also double cellular).Overall, courteous service, high attention to detail in the entire process, great quality of material. I highly recommend the company and will be a returning customer in the future for any window treatment needs.

I cant say the experience as a whole has been all negative, but most of it definitely wasI ordered 8 shades, the install was done completely incorrectly (blinds removed that shouldnt have been, shades put in the wrong place, at weird angles. my home was left a complete mess with debris all over the floor and in my AC units) and I had to wait a month for a fix.There is so much light coming between the BLACK OUT shades in the bedroom (and every other room as well, but it is a bigger concern in the bedroom), I asked for a solution and was offered shades that would let a little less light in. I asked about side tracks as a solution, and was simply told we do not offer that with no offer for mitigation of the fact that my black out shades arent even remotely black out.They said they would give me a 4% compensation or the mishap with the install, and sent me a google search for places that might install side tracks to mitigate the issue.Highly do not recommend using this company.

We were almost ready to pull the trigger on some blinds, but the service was unresponsive and evasive. Cant honestly invest with a company whose pre-sales process is poor. Dont want to risk what itll be like after we have paid.

Placed a pretty big order during quarantine, and worked with Mariah Yirka-Folsom. She was super efficient, friendly and very helpful every step of the way. The installation went smoothly, and the shades look really amazing. I will be back for sure in the future. Thank you!

Mariah provided excellent customer service over the phone while selecting my products. The Shade Store was also speedy at turning around our buildings COI in less than 24 hours. Lastly the install was a smooth and quick process.We are very happy with the final product

I couldnt have been more satisfied, from the minute I walked in the showroom right until installation. My salesman, Darron was professional, understood my needs and walked me through the process. Next was a member of their team who came to measure - again professional, neat and quick; and lastly was the installer. Great job. In and out in no time and everything was cleaned up as if no-one had been here.

Mariah was a total pro and was particularly helpful in offering ideas from a design perspective. She followed through every step of the way, and her installation colleagues were also excellent. While The Shade Store is not inexpensive, Ive come to believe that their products and service are totally worth the money.
