Updated review (9/22): Bumped this up to 4 stars. The mall is coming back to life. Kind of. An At Home and Stop & Shop has opened up in the former Macy’s and Fairway. Another furniture store is planning to open soon in the abandoned Sear’s. Some stores other than anchors have opened up around the mall, like DryBar, but most of the mall is still deserted. Glad they’re making an effort to get this mall back up.Original review:If you love visiting ghost towns, you’ll love the Shops at Nanuet. This mall has had the “majority of stores are closed and empty” curse twice, the first was back when this mall was known as Nanuet Mall, and the second, which is right now. Most of the retail here is empty & unused. The Bonefish Grill’s been sitting empty for about 7 years & it was only open for 2 months after this mall was renovated in 2013. No one’s touched that place ever since. And no one’s touched this mall ever since. Renovated & nice, but stores are lacking.
I used to love going to this place, walking around and visit the different shops.Unfortunately now during COVID-19 most of the shops here are closed, I was there a few weeks ago and there arent many shops open so make sure the shops you are looking for are open before arriving.
Great outdoor mall. Plenty of places to get food, and lots of places to shop. The movie theater is a great place to go for entertainment, and theres always something fun to do. The outside speakers are a nice touch that fills the air with the background noise of songs. Its great to have a place to walk around and shop that is also outside, instead of being couped up in a mall all the time. Its a nice change of pace that gives you some fresh air and plenty to do.
Came here cause this was the nearest Apple store considering my job. Was completely surprised about the options here and the nice settings. Music blaring through the speakers, all outdoors with nice walkways, and perfect for a long lunch stroll.I look forward to ordering PF Changs takeout and grabbing some Victoria secret while I wait. Only thing was parking was a bit tense midday but we made it work ! If you are in the area try it..
Wow, this place really changed over the last 4-8 years when I first went there. Its so nice and clean. Great place to shop along the nicely trimmed side walks and newly built store fronts. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant shopping experience. ;)
Really like this place, I only miss some more spots to eats outside and a small spot with a slide, a couple of swings and seesaw where you can stop 30 minutes between shops to help the kids take of their energy and help mommy with a free place outside to give their kids snacks and take of their energy. Chicago has this on every single mall. Great idea!
Plenty of store options that are well kept. It is outdoors, and feels very open, only way to go between stores is by going outside, which is inconvenient on rainy days, though not a severe problem. Main problem is finding parking as it can get full quickly and a lot of the parking is further away than preferable. Otherwise a nice mall, with good restaurants and the stores are all very nice.
Replaced a dead mall with an attempt at an upscale outdoor shopping plaza. Failed miserably, the two anchor stores Macys and Sears shut their doors, a third of their stores closed, Im pretty sure the Subway here closed in less than a month, and they seem to last forever. Want to park close? Too bad, you have to park outside and walk on in. Avoid at all costs.
Its anchored by a convenient Apple store. Otherwise, it would have more limited appeal. There is one particular specialty store Im a customer of. Also a decent supermarket, a gym, and a cineplex. The rest are specialized chains that Im not the target demo for but you might be.
This shopping center has a lot to offer with many great brands located here. This is the place to go to if you are just trying to go in and out of a store. This places has a variety of stores to shop at and plenty of restaurants to dine at! If you would like to go out to dinner and watch movie this is the place to go!! It has a regal located in the back of the shops!
No and hopefully there is no identity mix up. And I have not yet been to any restaurants there since the remodel. And have no trips for retail there since two winters ago and no movies there except if it included my work details so that also has been two years almost tooLooks like good experiences are better there for those who have time of course.
As saddened as I was to see the Nanuet Mall come down, I knew that it had to happen, and The Shops at Nanuet is a wonderful replacement. Its an intimate setting with nice storefronts and a good selection of shops (although a Crumbs or Great American Cookie Company would be an awesome addition). The Regal Cinemas are modern and nicely done.I like it much better than The Palisades Center.
Please note that my 2 star rating is only intended for those running the shots with Santa. Lovely Santa, but for the first time in over 25 years of taking kids to visit Santa I was FORBIDDEN from taking my own pictures, even though I paid nearly $30 for their photos which were terrible.
There are a few stores that I actually shop at left. Apple, Victorias Secret, Sephora, Coach, Michael Kors and a couple more. They closed a restaurant that I loved and a few great retail shops. Sears, The Limited, a couple of other stores and Macys will be closing soon too. I hope they have big plans for this place.
It provides a lot of different options for your shopping needs and since the mall is outside; you can walk around the mall with your dog. Unfortunately, a lot of the shops are those expensive stores that not very affordable and when it gets cold; it is hard walking around the mall since the cold can be harsh and the parking can be hard to get, so youll be walking some far distances to get to your locations. The other plus is this mall complex has a theater for your movie needs so, you can treat yourself to a movie, than go around the shops for your food or clothes or groceries needs.
I love The Shops at Nanuet. The reason why i gave it a 4 star is because of the Apple store most? of the employees in there needs more training especially on their customer service. ( Most? Let say the 2 people who was helping my friend. They were clueless about the iPhone and they were rude. So i will go back to The Shops at Nanuet visiting others. Together will see if the 🌟 go up or down.
An outdoor mall with inadequate parking proximate to most store destinations other than the anchors (Macys and Sears). So bring your umbrella when it rains and, rain or shine, expect to fo some walking.Given the single level, outdoor format, there isnt a great variety of stores, but there are some great restaurants (Zinburgers, BJs Pizza) and an AMC multi-plex theater with state of the art, reserved, adjustable seating.
When you want to get away from Paramus and the Palisades the Shops at Nanuet on a nice day is a good option. The outdoor shops seem to take away from the stress of your traditional mall. A good selection of restaurants and shops made my first visit a good one. I mean look at me reviewing a shopping center. this is out of character for me. Also, if you happen to be out on a Tuesday night end your shopping w/ a movie at matinee prices. Great deal!
Generally pretentious & marginally schmaltzy, this little city of stores with a few restaurants thrown in to anchor pedestrian traffic, is often about brand recognition & loyalty and projecting that brand with unyielding personal pomposity. There are a few mid-tier as well, but better value stores can be found elsewhere.Filled with mostly lookers as opposed to actual buyers is self evident by viewing the throng of empty handed consumers wandering about. From a financial perspective, one must conclude that the only entity profiting well from the existence of this amalgamation is the property group. Oh yes theres Fairway market too...lets save that for a separate review shall we...
Disappointed, Keith and the manager Doris couldnt give me a print out. Doris gave me the excuse that it was a I T problem. I told Doris no problem I will come back later in the day to get the print out. She said no good because I T issue might take days to fix. Really thats the best excuse she can give me? Unacceptable.
The Shops at the Nanuet is the perfect size. Its an outdoor mall with 5 star restaurants like Zin Burger and store like Banana republic, Apple, and a Regal movie theater which I love. The whole atmosphere of the mall is so beautiful! Im looking forward to ordering PF Changs takeout and grabbing some Victoria secret while Im waiting. Only thing parking was a bit tense. I highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing shopping experience to give it a try.
Incredible find in the heart of Nanuet. These shops are nestled in a street-scape styled open mini-city, complex and cannot be referred as a mall. Many wonderful shops, modern and vibrant restaurants, and eateries imcluding Banchetto Feast, Zinburger, which contains a happy and jazzy bar that offers indoor and outdoor (summer through fall) service.Anything from nice shops like Chicos, Ann Taylor, Sephora, Teavana, to Fairway Market and Banana Republic, and many more.I cant say enough about this place and if you are from out of town and are just in the area, and want some great burgers or ahi tuna salad or an extended dinner and drinks experience, you want to come and see this complex and relax here. You can do it all here from your weekly food shopping, to meeting business associates or friends, or if you are looking to simply walk around and stretch your legs, I recommend it.Just bring the family for a nice walk around this great outdoor complex and you wont have to worry about traffic or parking.Love this place and I often drive about 30 minutes there just to meet friends. Thats a lot to be said about ANY place in the New York/Northern NJ area!Look this place up online and you will be coming here too.
Usually when I visit the shops of nanuet I visit the shops that are on both sides of the road such as Charlotte russe , Payless , etc /sears , regal cinema, etc. I wouldnt say these places are cheap but expect to bring money if its your first time coming and youre with your gf/bf because theyre going to want to either , shop, eat, watch a movie or all of the above because everything is that close together.. When you go into specific stores they have escalators that can lead to other stores and the movie theater so walking isnt a problem.

2022-04-14Great shops and outlets. A store for everyone but they are all top tier popular stores in their niche. There are great restaurants around. All and all if you like shopping this is a great complex. Not too big but also has variety and inventory.

2018-09-14Nice shopping area, you park right in front of some of the stores. Reagal Movie theater, Apple Store, several dinning options, and plenty of fashion.

2022-06-17It is a collection of stores, some of them closed or empty. The main stores are the Apple Store, movie theater, and fitness center.

2019-08-19Burger place by the movie theater is only place I went to. Which was good . Wife on the other hand went quite a few places and spent a lot of dough, which is typical for many of us I imagine.

2021-11-25The problem I have is that theres really no anchor store in this outdoor mall. The Sears in Macys both went out of business. There is a stop & shop that recently moved in but there are a few stores out of business. I do like that this is and outdoor mall so less chance of spreading disease
